Chapter 1: Isn't it wonderful?

Load Full Story Next Chapter

The dimly-lit interior of the club was different from what Rarity was considering a proper place to entertain herself, but today she didn’t mind. It didn’t escape her attention that the building used to be just an old barn in which somepony had put a couple of tables, a small stage and a counter with a board over it. The board was proudly announcing that a thirsty or hungry pony could buy there a beer, hay fries, hayburgers and rolls in the hay, but Rarity could smell a lie easily. There were no rolls and certainly no hay there. Though at least beer was present.

Rarity didn’t usually like beer. But today she was ready to forget about it.

She turned her look to the stage. A blue stallion was sitting on the chair, playing acoustic guitar. The chord progression resembled some classical tune. A yellow mare standing next to him playing violin only confirmed that impression.

The mare stopped playing and began to sing in a sad, wistful voice:

I had a barn,
In the middle of the field
With mighty door
Made of oak;

But then came that filly
And she was a little silly.
She somehow crashed
Through my barn’s door

Since then something’s changed;
Something’s broken, something’s strange –
My barn’s door
Now swings both ways.

My barn’s door
Now swings both ways.
My barn’s door
Now swings both ways.

Rarity swallowed her beer, wincing at the taste. Why she was even there, in such an uncouth place? She had no idea. Maybe she just wanted to let off some steam after a hard week of work? If that was her initial plan, it somehow escalated quickly.

I asked a nice colt
To fix my barn’s door
But it didn’t help
A little bit.

What was straight now is bent,
I want change, but I can’t
I guess it’ll have to
Stay that way.

If I found that filly
(well, I know it is silly)
Maybe she’d be able
To help me…

‘Cause my barn’s door
Now swings both ways.
My barn’s door
Now swings both ways.

“That was ‘Barn Door’ by Fiddlesticks and Noteworthy!” the announcer said. “Don’t go away, they’ll be back soon!”

“I don’t get it,” a stallion sitting at the table next to Rarity’s muttered to his companion. “If she wants to fix her door, she has to change wickets. There’s no other way. But in fact, I don’t understand what’s the whole thing about. It’s quite comfortable when the barn’s door swings both ways…”

“It’s not about that,” the other stallion said. “She just wants to find that idiot who crashed into her door and make her pay for damage. Oaken door ain’t a cheap thing…”

“That had to be some crappy oak…” the first stallion muttered. “If she managed to bend it by crashing into it…”

Rarity shook her head and tuned their voices out. She focused on her beer; it didn’t make its taste any better. She started to consider leaving the place, taking a short walk through Ponyville (dark, cold, and rainy) and falling asleep on her favourite couch in the Carousel Boutique. Sweetie Belle was at home with her parents, so at least she wouldn’t have to wake up early to prepare a breakfast for her.

She was about to do that when she felt that someone was watching her. She turned around and saw a unicorn mare with pink coat and violet mane.

“Hello,” the mare said. She was levitating a beer. “Can I sit here?”

“Of course, darling,” Rarity replied. “I was just about to leave…”

“Already?” the mare asked. “It’s not even 10…”

“Well,” Rarity lowered her voice to a whisper. “I simply don’t like this place. In fact, I have no idea why did I wander here…”

The mare chuckled. “You should watch out. I’ve heard about a pony who didn’t know where she was going and it turned out that she was killing other ponies in her sleep. By the way, my name’s Sparkler.”

“I can assure you that it’s not the case,” Rarity replied. “Also, I think I know you, darling. You’ve bought that wonderful dress with a saddle, haven’t you?”

“Yes,” Sparkler replied. “I really like it…”

“It goes well with your coat,” Rarity said. She couldn’t get rid of the thought that Sparkler’s coat colour was quite similar to her mother’s. Damn you, Freud, she thought.

“Thanks,” Sparkler said. “So, what are you doing here if you didn’t even want to come here?”

It took Rarity a while to process that sentence. When she was done with it, she decided that she didn’t want to answer it. Meanwhile, however, beer decided to answer instead of her.

“I think I was just… stressed. You know, dresses, projects, deadlines, my sister, Rainbow Dash, deadlines, my sister, an invasion of bloodthirsty bunnies, calming Fluttershy down, projects, deadlines, and, of course, my sister. Sometimes a lady just has to drink…”

“Sounds like a crazy week,” Sparkler deadpanned and took a sip of her beer. “Well, at least I didn’t have to deal with the bunnies. What was even going on with them?”

“Well, it turned out that those shiny gems I’d given Fluttershy were magical,” Rarity explained. “Some bunnies grew additional limbs, some grew teeth.”

Sparkler nodded. “I’ve seen worse things in the forest, actually. Really, this place is like some village from a horror… Not to mention all those things that happen here.”

Rarity sighed. She’d gave up an idea of going back home and ordered another beer instead. “For some reason, many of those things happen to me…” she said.

Sparkler opened her mouth to mention that time when everything in Ponyville turned to crystals and gold, but reconsidered it; she’d attended Princess Cadance’s wedding in Canterlot and remembered that Rarity was good at fighting. Sparkler also knew that, statistically, in the club they currently were there were at least two brawls a week. It was already Friday and no brawl had happened yet, so she didn’t want to tempt fate.

“I’m just tired,” Rarity muttered, staring at her beer.

“Is it that part when I should give a speech?” Sparkler asked. “Because I’m not good at giving motivational speeches. Hell, I can’t even motivate my sorry flank to start exercising.” She slapped her flank. “I think I should lose a few pounds instead of sitting here drinking beer.”

Rarity looked at Sparkler’s flank and noticed that her cutie mark was very similar to hers; three gems adorned the dark pink fur. “It doesn’t look bad, darling. I mean, I don’t really know anything about other mares’ flanks, but I think it’s, umm… nice.” She felt that the interior of the pub suddenly became very hot. She took a large gulp of her beer and nearly choked on it. “Are you a gem-hunter?” Rarity asked, deciding that it was high time to steer the conversation far from the regions so dangerous. After all, for many ponies just one look at a mare’s flanks was enough to get lost in them…

Rarity slapped herself mentally. She was not going to go there.

“Not really…” Sparkler said. “My talent is more about making jewellery, actually.”

“Really?” Rarity straightened up in her seat. “You know, darling, I could always use a good jewellery maker…”

“Here?” Sparkler asked, looking at the ponies gathered around.

“Of course not…” Rarity facehoofed. “I meant… To make jewellery. Not to…”

“Oh, I see…” Sparkler blushed. “I guess there’s something wrong with my brain. Every time I think about work it wanders off to, umm… weird places.”

“I’d rather not know too much about them,” Rarity said. “My mind has its own weird places it likes to wander to, but I don’t usually share them with other ponies.”

“Well, my weird places are rather visible…” Sparkler replied. Seeing the look Rarity gave her, she quickly added, “I mean… Saddles. Saddles are cool.” Now it was her turn to choke on her beer.

“Saddles, you say…” A spark appeared in Rarity’s eyes. “I have quite a few saddles at home. If you want to try them…”

“I’m sorry, but my mom told me to not go anywhere with strangers…” Sparkler recited.

“Really?”

“No. I’ve never met my mom.” Sparkler lowered her head.

“Sorry to hear that…” Rarity leaned to her companion and hugged her. “I can assure you that I have no bad intentions. I’m an Element Bearer… Have you ever heard of an Element Bearer who’d lure innocent ponies to their house to, for example, eat their tongues? Tabloids would start to suspect something…”

Sparkler hesitated. She’d heard stories about all the Element Bearers being involved in some sort of depravity. Well, maybe except Applejack. For some reason, no one ever suspected Applejack. On the other hoof, no one had ever disappeared in Ponyville. From what Sparkler knew, none of her friends and neighbours had a sex dungeon, so it was safe to assume that nopony had such a thing in their basements.

Sparkler had a sex dungeon. Sort of. Behind the door of her basement was a couch, a cardboard box full of quite interesting magazines, a tissue box, and a movie projector. There, Sparkler could indulge herself in all sorts of depravities… as long as they included her own hooves, magic, toys, and said box of tissues.

There were also saddles. Sparkler loved saddles. Even a thought of having a strap tightening around her body was making her mind going into overdrive.

“Okay,” she said quickly. “This place is boring anyway…”

They stood up, paid for their drinks and left the club. Cold breeze chilled them to the bone. Rarity thought of warm tea and bed. She hoped that it wouldn’t be too cold in the Carousel Boutique – after all, she was going to have a guest. It’d be a crime if she let Sparkler freeze.

After a short walk, they reached the door of the Boutique. Rarity opened it and stepped inside, looking for a smallest sight indicating Sweetie Belle’s presence. She was supposed to be with their parents, but Rarity sometimes had an impression that her sister had an ability to be in two places at once. She made a mental note to remind Sweetie about the “no hanging out with Pinkie Pie” rule.

“Maybe we should turn on the light?” Sparkler asked. “You’re creeping like it was a changeling nest.”

“Oh…” Rarity sighed and facehoofed again before turning on the light. “I’m sorry… I was thinking about something else.”

“I see…” Sparkler muttered. “Hey, it’s so cool!” she exclaimed, seeing the interior of the shop. “When I was a filly I often dreamed about staying in the shopping mall after it closes to play in the shops…” She ran to the nearby mannequin and stood next to it. “Hey, we could put some of those together so they’d look like they were fu–“

“I’d rather not do that, darling,” said Rarity dryly. “Knowing me, I’d forget to put them back in, umm… proper poses.”

Sparkler’s ears drooped. She patted the mannequin, making a move as if she wanted to mount it and went back to Rarity, sitting on one of the armchairs. “So, are we gonna check out those saddles?”

“Contain your enthusiasm for a minute,” Rarity replied. “Do you want some tea?”

“Yeah, that’d be great,” Sparkler said, eyeing the interior of the boutique curiously. “You know, it looks like one of those fancy places where rich old mares drink tea, exchange gossip and talk about arsenic, old lace, and coats made of Dalmatians…”

“I’m not that old, thank you…” Rarity deadpanned, levitating a tray with two cups of tea, a pot and some cookies.

“Yeah…” Sparkler levitated her tea. “You didn’t put any arsenic in here, did you?”

“Of course not,” Rarity smirked and took a sip of her tea. “Why would I do that?”

Sparkler looked at her cup unsurely and drank some tea too. Suddenly, something strange started to happen with her body. She felt a short jolt of pain in her stomach and her muscles twitched. She shuddered and the cup nearly slipped out of her magic grasp. Her breath quickened. She looked at Rarity and saw her host watching her curiously, as if she was waiting for something.

“Excuse me,” Sparkler muttered. “All that beer and now tea… I need to, umm… visit a little filly’s room…”

“This corridor and second door on the left,” Rarity replied, pointing at the corridor behind her. Sparkler rushed there quickly and came back soon, a bit lighter and much more laid-back than before.

“Wow…” Sparkler sat back on the armchair. “I’ve never expected that my body can hold so much–“

“So, do you want to see the saddles?” Rarity asked. Unlike some of her friends, she wasn’t a pony who’d ask somepony who’d just left the toilet how sitting on the throne was. She also wasn’t a pony who’d answer such a question. She simply preferred not to talk about that part of her life.

“Sure,” Sparkler replied, immediately forgetting about her bladder’s unusual qualities.

Rarity stood up and went to one of the closets. She opened it and levitated a couple of saddles, stacking them on her back. “So, darling, I’ve heard you like saddles, so I–“

“Don’t…” Sparkler chuckled. She looked at the saddle on the top of the stack – a light blue one, made of delicate silk. It definitely wasn’t something a pony would use to carry foals or to avoid having their back rubbed by saddlebags; it was purely an accessory. She put it on and fastened a girth tightly. “How do I look?” she asked.

“Gorgeous!” Rarity exclaimed. “But aren’t it too tight for you?”

“No, it’s okay,” Sparkler replied. “I prefer it that way…”

For a while she was trying different saddles, from delicate Saddle Arabian silks to one made in Chineigh, with lacquer overlay. Finally, she spotted a saddle that immediately gained her attention. A black, made of leather, with several silver pegs and a wide girth. She touched it with her hoof, wondering about its smoothness. She lifted it to her face and sniffed it, letting the intriguing smell fill her nostrils.

“I bought it in the Griffon Empire,” Rarity explained. “It belonged to some mare from the Count of Greifenberg’s harem. His great-grandchildren put it on auction. I don’t know exactly why…”

“Well, maybe they were ashamed that their great-grandfather was rather kinky…” Sparkler said, still looking at the saddle. “May I put it on?”

“Of course, darling,” Rarity replied, blushing slightly. “You know, there’s more… Umm… a bridle, blinkers, and… umm… a riding crop…”

Sparkler nodded. “Well, you can say many bad things about griffons, but they surely know how to play…” she said. She levitated the leather saddle on her back and pulled the girth.

“You’re going to crack your ribs if you keep doing that…” Rarity said.

“No pain, no gain,” Sparkler replied. “Do I look like a mare from the Count of Greifen-something’s harem?”

“Well, you miss a couple of things…” Rarity opened another closet – that one had two reinforced locks and a sticky note on the door, saying “Cool toys for little fillies”. Neither Sweetie Belle, nor any of her friends ever tried to open it. As Rarity knew, reverse psychology could do wonders.

She levitated the keys and opened the closet. Sparkler looked inside and thought that the sticky note was only half-true. Cool toys? Check. For little fillies? Not really, unless the fillies had a thing for BDSM.

Sparkler’s eyes became so big that they started to take over her other facial features. “M-may I ask you a question about proper etiquette?” she asked.

“Of course, darling,” Rarity said. “Ask me whatever you want.”

“If you have a guest and that guest wants badly to be screwed senseless while clad in leather and being spanked with a riding crop, does it count as violation of etiquette?”

“I’m afraid that the answer is yes,” Rarity replied. She stood in front of Sparkler and smirked, locking her eyes on her. “In such case, the host has a right to punish the guest… Usually by whipping…” She levitated a bridle. “The safeword is ‘Count of Greifenberg’…”

Sparkler’s smile grew so wide that it started to fight for a living space with her eyes.

“Did I let you smile, slave?” Rarity asked, putting the bridle and blinders on Sparkler. “Since today, you’ll call me ‘Mistress’.”

“Yeth, Mithtreth,” Sparkler muttered through the bridle. She was still smiling.

Rarity furrowed her eyebrows. “What did I tell you about smiling? Do I have to spank you to make you obey the Mistress’ commands?”

“Yeth, pleathe,” Sparkler replied. “Mithtreth.”

Rarity facehoofed yet again. “Okay, let’s start again. If you don’t obey me… I mean, your Mistress, I will not spank you. Understood?”

“Underthtood,” Sparkler replied.

“Understood, Mistress,” Rarity corrected, lifting the riding crop to hit Sparkler before remembering about her promise.

“Yeah, that too,” Sparkler muttered. She cleared her throat and began speaking clearer, despite the bridle in her mouth. “I’m so scared… I was caught by griffons and transported to that scary castle… What will now happen to me?” she asked in a dramatic tone, throwing nervous glances around.

“Your Mistress will soon take care of you, slave…” Rarity said, smiling menacingly. Deep inside she was trying her best to not burst into laughter. “Just submit yourself to Mistress and she’ll reward you…”

“Never!” Sparkler exclaimed. “I’m a free pony– Ouch!” She rubbed her flank after Rarity hit her with a riding crop. “I… I have my rights… The Princess…” She was cut short by another swing of the crop.

“The Princess won’t help you now,” Rarity stated coldly. Her magic lifted Sparkler’s tail and soon the riding crop swung at her rump, leaving a red wheal across her cheeks and marehood. “She’s, I’d say, in another castle.” Another swing. Sparkler hissed and gritted her teeth, tears welling in her eyes. “Do you want me to stop?” Rarity asked.

“No, Mistress,” Sparkler replied defiantly. “Punish me… I failed my Princess and let the griffons capture me…”

Rarity raised her eyebrows. She’d never seen a slave who wanted to be punished so much, but after a while she decided to roll with it. “Lick my cunt,” she ordered. “Then I’ll beat you till you start to squeal…”

“You mean, I have to lick count’s cunt, Mistress?” Sparkler chuckled and almost choked on the bridle.

A wave of Rarity’s magic pushed her on the floor. Rarity positioned herself above her head and spoke, “Thou shall not make puns in Mistress’ presence. Especially weak puns that are barely puns at all. Or I’ll get rid of the beer I drank on your face…”

“I call Count of Greifen-thingy on that,” Sparkler said quickly. “Normally I’m all in for such stuff, but we barely know each other…”

“’We barely know each other’?” Rarity asked. “It seems to me that we are having sex here. That means that we know each other a bit…”

“Sex between almost-strangers is okay for me,” Sparkler replied. “Taking a leak on my face is okay but only when it’s someone I know better. With you, it’d only piss me off.”

“You’re doing that again,” Rarity said, shaking her head.

“What?”

“Bad puns.”

Sparkler sighed with relief, a little louder than necessary. “Good thing I don’t know any good ones. You’d pee yourself laughing and you’re still standing above me…”

“Eww…” Rarity winced and backpedalled. “On a second thought… I’d have to replace the floor after that… What was I thinking?”

“Nothing wise, probably…” Sparkler observed, standing up. “Are we going to make this more awkward or should I go home?”

“No, you can stay…” Rarity replied. “I’ll be right back. I really need to use a little filly’s room…” She rushed out of the room, leaving Sparkler alone.

“What the fuck just happened?” Sparkler asked nopony in particular. She undid the girth of the leather saddle and took the whole outfit off. Then she sat on the couch and scratched her head. It didn’t bring any answers.

Finally, Rarity came back. Without saying a word, she sat on the couch next to Sparkler.

“What took you so long?” Sparkler asked. “And they say that the mares don’t do a number–“ She paused seeing traces of tears on Rarity’s face. “What’s going on?”

“I’m constantly stressed, I’m a bit tipsy, and I suck as a dominatrix,” Rarity replied. “That’s what going on.”

Sparkler sighed. “Not everypony has to be a dominatrix, you know,” she said. “Tomorrow you’ll be sober. And I can help you deal with the stress…” She wrapped her hoof around Rarity and rubbed her back.

Rarity purred. “Don’t stop…” she muttered. Sparkler leaned closer to her and kissed her cheek, using her other hoof to rub Rarity’s belly.

Rarity lay on her stomach, while Sparkler continued massaging her. Her muscles, previously tense and aching, loosened a bit. She moaned. While Sparkler wasn’t Aloe or Lotus, she definitely had a talent. Her hooves started to wander lower, towards Rarity’s tail. Something in Rarity’s spine clicked and she felt that she could move more freely. She felt jolts of pleasure when Sparkler massaged a sensitive area just above her tail; her other hoof was gently teasing her cutie mark.

Without a warning, Sparkler slid her hoof under Rarity’s tail, causing her to give out a surprised groan.

“Already wet down there?” she asked. “Geez… I know why you’re so stressed… You simply need to get laid…”

“Have you ever tried to get laid while having a job and a little sister to take care of?” Rarity asked with a sigh which soon changed into a moan. “At least I can get loud today, since she’s not here…”

“I will make you loud…” Sparkler smirked. “And I’ll make you ruin that couch…”

“Don’t you dare!” Rarity exclaimed. “I’m not going to wash–“ The rest of her words drowned in a moan when another stroke of Sparkler’s hoof hit exactly the right spot. “Also it’s not a couch…” She groaned again. “It’s a chaise longue… Aargh, fuck!”

Sparkler spanked Rarity’s flank and watched it turn crimson. “Don’t use such words, darling… Some fillies may hear you,” she said. “Also, that shez-thingy may become our new safeword…”

“No more… safewords…” Rarity panted, biting her lip. “I’m done with… Sweet Celestia!”

“Just Sparkler,” Sparkler said, chuckling and pushing her hoof deep into Rarity’s marehood. “I meant that you’d need a safeword. Say, if you suddenly wanted me to pause…” She retreated her hoof.

“Now you’re just cruel…” Rarity muttered. She rolled on her back and spread her hind legs. “Come back and let me finish…”

“Don’t worry…” Sparkler put her hooves on Rarity’s teats and rubbed her juices all over her nipples, causing her to shudder at the uncouthness of that at first, but soon eliciting another spasmodic moan from her. She leaned forward and slowly licked Rarity’s labia, sucking at her clit.

“What are you…” A groan interrupted her. “I’ve never knew playing with teats could be so fun…”

“Well, I didn’t know that too,” Sparkler muttered in a muffled voice. “But one day I simply got bored of my hooves…”

“You seem… lonely…” Rarity moaned.

“Well, my hooves don’t want breakfast and aren’t jealous when I switch ‘em,” Sparkler said. Rarity could hardly understand her – after all it was difficult to speak coherently when having a tongue stuck deep into Rarity’s warm, tight pussy.

“I must admit that it’s convenient,” Rarity muttered. She bucked her hips; one of her legs started to twitch uncontrollably. She exhaled the air loudly and fell limply on the chaise longue, panting heavily while Sparkler backed away quickly, coughing.

“I got a direct hit,” she muttered, panting. Her voice still sounded weird since her tongue was stiff after the workout. “You should’ve told me that you’re a gusher…”

“Well, it happens only from time to time,” Rarity said, blushing a deep crimson. “Listen, maybe we’ll go to my bedroom? I have something there that may interest you…”

“Another saddle?” Sparkler asked with a hope in her voice.

“Not really,” Rarity replied. “But I guess it’ll interest you…”

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Sparkler said. She was sitting on Rarity’s bed with a riding crop in her teeth – she insisted on taking it with her to “have something to defend herself”. She looked at Rarity one more time. “It’s…”

“It’s what?” Rarity asked, emerging from behind the curtain so Sparkler could see her fully.

“It’s a pair of panties,” said Sparkler. “With an enormous dick attached to them.”

“Do you have problems with that, darling?”

“Of course not.”

“Glad we have this matter settled.” Rarity smirked playfully and approached Sparkler, levitating the riding crop from her mouth. Sparkler stood on the bed, yanking her tail to the side, revealing her nether regions. There were already a couple of red marks left there after their awkward BDSM session, but Sparkler didn’t seem to mind.

The first swing caused her to hiss and bite her lip. The next grazed her marehood, causing her to wallow in pain. Rarity paused, looking at her unsurely, but Sparkler only nodded and, wiping tears from her eyes, let Rarity punish her. Some fluid dripped from her pussy on the bed sheet. Rarity winced but said nothing, still too focused on large, icky stains of her cum she’d left on the chaise longue. She had hidden it in place she was sure Sweetie wouldn’t find it, but she knew that she’d have to have it cleaned and was already thinking of an excuse.

“Come on…” Sparkler muttered. “Rut me…”

Rarity stood on her bed behind Sparkler, positioning her strap-on. The very thought of mounting her like a stallion caused her to get wet again; her panties started to soak. She sighed and put her front hooves on Sparkler’s back. Then she slowly inched the strap-on to her winking marehood, touching it with its tip. Sparkler moaned. Rarity took a deep breath and, inch by inch, started to slid the dildo inside of her. Her muscles clenched around her side of the strap-on. She pushed further, causing Sparkler to groan as the dildo filled her pussy completely, stretching its walls.

“Are you okay?” Rarity asked.

Sparkler only nodded. Rarity rested her hooves on her back and pulled the dildo back to the half of its length. Then she slowly pushed forward, causing Sparkler to make another moan of pleasure.

Rarity increased the pace, hearing wet sounds the dildo was making inside of Sparkler. A musky scent permeated the air. Sparkler threw her head backwards, to look into Rarity’s eyes. Rarity leaned forward, pushing the strap-on deep into her marehood, and started to suck on Sparkler’s horn, causing her to squeal in surprise.

“I’m… so… close…” Sparkler groaned. Her right hind leg twitched. She tried to stand still, but soon it proved to be impossible. She gave out a loud moan and fell on the bed, Rarity landing on her. Even then, Rarity continued to rut her, the dildo running smoothly inside of her wet pussy. Sparkler bit the pillow, feeling her second orgasm approaching; several sparks shot from her horn.

Rarity was also on the edge. Although her end of the strap-on was shorter, it was also designed in such a way that it was constantly teasing her clit. She pushed deep into Sparkler, bucking her hips. The pressure in her loins was almost unbearable. Her muscles were shivering; her vision became blurred.

Finally, after a long thrust, Rarity came. She gave a muffled scream and fell on Sparkler, creating a tangled mess of hooves, horns and manes. She then rolled off Sparkler, dildo sliding out of her pussy.

“I need to take a shower…” she muttered.

“Maybe tomorrow…” Sparkler replied. She used her magic to turn off the light. “Goodnight, Rarity.”

“Sparkler?”

“Yes?”

“Did you really let somepony pee on your face?”

“Not really,” Sparkler replied. “I’ve never gotten to know anypony that well…”

Before Rarity could think of another question, she heard Sparkler’s quiet snoring.

When Rarity woke up, Sparkler was still sleeping in her bed. To her surprise, Rarity realized that she’d spent the night spooning her, which meant that she now had a numb foreleg and face full of Sparkler’s hair. She sighed and shook her head. Way to go, Rarity… she thought. Slowly, she slid her hoof from under Sparkler’s body and sat on the bed.

She winced at the smell. Her bed sheet was soaked in sweat and Celestia-only-knew what else. Rarity thought that she wouldn’t want the Princess to know that. Celestia probably also wished she wouldn’t.

Rarity got out of bed and quietly, in order to not wake her guest up, trotted to the bathroom. She stood under the shower and opened the tap, pouring hot water all over herself.

She wasn’t sure what to think about that. Normally, she wasn’t the one to have one-night stands with ponies she’d accidentally met at the bar. Hell, she didn’t even walk to bars. But, on the other hoof, Sparkler was so cute… And she had a good fashion sense.

Rarity was sure about one thing: none of her friends could ever hear about that. If Pinkie knew… Soon all the town would knew and Rarity would have to run away in shame. She made a mental note to check the prices of tickets to Stalliongrad, just in case.

She finished showering herself and went downstairs. The chaise longue was hidden in the basement, waiting for a proper cleaning. Rarity quickly levitated saddles scattered around and put them back into the closet. Then she did the same with the bridle and blinders.

Rarity looked around the shop, checking if the mannequins were set properly. She remembered that they hadn’t put them in any compromising poses, but she checked that just in case. Then she went to the kitchen and poured water to the kettle. It didn’t matter what they did; Sparkler was still her guest and she had to make breakfast for her.

She was just levitating a frying pan to fry some pancakes, when she heard knocking at the door. She froze. If Sweetie Belle saw Sparkler… Rarity put the pan back on the stove and rushed to the door. She opened it and saw Sweetie Belle, who immediately trotted inside, and her mother, Pearl.

“Hello, Rarity,” Pearl said. “How are you?”

“Great,” Rarity replied. She meant it. After spending a night with Sparkler, she was definitely less stressed than before. Her only concern was now how long would her mother stay with her and if she had to introduce her to Sparkler. “I was just preparing breakfast…”

“There’s something we need to talk about,” Pearl said. She trotted to the kitchen and sat at the table, while Rarity prepared hot chocolate for Sweetie. “Do you remember when I hired a detective?”

“Well, if dad didn’t tell me, I wouldn’t even know about that…” Rarity said with a sigh. “What was that about, mom?”

“You see…” Pearl looked around, making sure that Sweetie was playing in the boutique. “When you were born, your father and I were poor and…” She sighed. “You have a twin sister, Rarity. I hired a detective to find her now…”

“W-what?” Rarity asked, looking at her mother. “Why I’m learning about it only now?”

Pearl’s head drooped. “I know, I should’ve told you… But the detective found her. It turns out that she’s recently moved to Ponyville…”

“Who is she?” Rarity asked.

Before Pearl could reply, the kitchen door opened and Sparkler came in. She had wet mane and a towel placed on her back. “Hello,” she said. “Is that cute little filly trying to make a rocket out of your coat hangers your sister?”

“Yes,” Rarity replied automatically, still shocked after her mother’s revelation. “If you want a pancake, feel free to help yourself, darling. By the way, this is my mother, Pearl. Mom, this is my, umm… friend, Spar–“

“Oh, I know her…” Pearl said. “I’ve seen her photo… She’s changed…”

“What’s going on?” Sparkler asked, looking at Pearl unsurely. “How do you know me, Mrs. Rarity’s mom?”

Rarity froze. She saw that one of the pancakes was about to catch fire, but she did nothing to prevent that, too lost in what her mind was now trying to tell her.

“Isn’t it wonderful?” Pearl asked. “You two didn’t know you were sisters and you already know each other…”
