It was yet another sunny day in Ponyville, gentle breeze was flowing through the air as Starburst trotted towards her destination, small, mostly outdoor café known as “Sweet’s&Treets.”

Despite these circumstances Starburst face was adorned with frown, as it wasn’t really her choice to come here today, by all means she would prefer to be at Sweet Apple Acres and workout.

But there are times when you can’t decline an invitation, even to something like this.

Time passed by and soon enough she spotted her friends sitting at the round purple table just outside the café All right let’s get this over with.

“Hey Star! Come here!” Candy shouted and waved her hoof enthusiastically, Annie and Claire both smiled warmly which somehow gave Starburst a small hope that maybe this won’t be too bad.

She walked up to her friends and sat down at the free seat right next to Candy, Claire waved gently at the waiter who quickly trotted up to them in order to take orders, soon enough he disappeared inside the building leaving four girls in awkward silence which was quickly broken by Starburst.

“So, Candy, mind explaining me why am I even here?”

“Oh don’t be like that Star! You never joined us in our small talks, it’ll be fun you’ll see!”

Starburst sighed and rolled her eyes, just as waiter came back with their orders, Claire started to eat her slice of cake before being interrupted by Candy “So how is this going between you and your Prince?”

“Great Candy, thanks for asking.” Claire stated blankly.

“Is something the matter?”

“Well, recently he’s become much more romantic, he visited my shop much more often, he invited me to watch sunset with him, things like that.”

Candy cocked her eyebrow “And that’s bad because…”

“Well he also was talking much more about marriage.”

All girls went silent knowing very well what that meant for Claire, they also knew that this isn’t a time to talk about it, that’s why Candy using her wits decided to change subject in smoothest way possible.

“So Starburst, I heard you took a bath with Prism?”

Suddenly the dull atmosphere was changed as Starburst confident poker face was changed into an angry scowl, Annie smiled with excitement and Claire simply chuckled a few times.

“W-W-Where did you get that from?! Actually who cares, that wasn’t…”

“You took a bath with Prism? Why didn’t you tell me so, we would join you with T!”

Starburst simply slammed her head into the table almost knocking her cup of tea over, Candy burst out laughing and Claire giggled.

Annie was confused as she didn’t understand what was so funny.

“Starburst dear don’t be like that, you know we’re just teasing.”

“Yeah, besides what is there to like in Prism right?” Candy asked smirking mischievously.

“Thank you! Finally somepony…”

“Except those gorgeous eyes!” Candy said emphasizing last two words, Starburst in answer to that blushed madly, she tapped her hooves on the table as her gaze was wondering around, she could’ve deny that, but she knew it was true.

“Oh girls don’t be like that, give her a break.” Annie spoke gently as she took a sip of her coffee.

“Fine then, how’s it going with T?”

“Oh same old, same old, he’s just as protective of me as he was.”

“Yeah, you don’t even know how hard it was to convince him to come with me and mother to Canterlot next week.”

“You’re going to Canterlot Claire?” Starburst asked.

“Yeah, she has some business going on there and I wanted to help out.”

“Cool.” Candy stated simply and ate her cookie.

Starburst sat there her gaze placed firmly on her cup of tea as she pondered for a way to take revenge, it took her good few minutes of thinking but she smiled and looked up to her friend “Hey Candy, I actually wanted to ask, how are thing with Del going?” She asked with proud smirk on her muzzle, which was met with confused expression of her happy friend.

“With Del? What do you mean?”

“Well you two are spending a lot of time together dear.” Claire said.

Starburst grinned wider thinking that this is it, but much to her disappointment instead of frustrated, embarrassed or at least angry expression she was expecting, Candy put her hoof under chin and started to ponder about it.

“Geeze, I never really thought of that, we are spending a lot time together cause it’s just fun.”

“So you don’t see Del in a romantic manner dear?” Claire asked and frowned slightly as she lightly hit her plate with spoon which meant end of her cake.

“Well I… I don’t know, maybe.”

“I think you two would make a great couple.” Annie added smiling

Candy nodded, but no matter what her friends told her, she already had eyes for a certain colt out there.

A colt with gorgeous green eyes and multi-colored mane that it.

Suddenly Candy turned towards Starburst with her usual happy smile “Hey sorry for all the teasing about Prism, Star.”

Confused at first Starburst soon developed a small smile and nodded “Thanks Candy I appreciate that.”

But soon enough Candy’s smile was changed into her mischievous smirk.

“We all know that you actually have eyes set on a certain bow-using guard named Fletcher.”

For few moments silence took over their table as Starburst reaction surprised even Candy who soon enough started to laugh and almost fell of her chair, and Claire couldn’t help and laugh out loud breaking her lady manner, Annie looked around confused before asking.

“What happened?”

“Nothing!” Starburst shouted out.

“Oh yeah nothing, Star just lost control of her wings there for a moment.” Candy stated.

“Oh Star had a wingboner?” The way Annie said it made Star only blush harder and other girls laugh louder, after few moments Starburst decided that she had enough and stood up and left without saying a word.

Soon silence fell over the table once again before Claire asked “Think we overdid it?”

Annie and Candy connected gazes before smiling and stating simply “Nahh”

After whole day of trying to forget this embarrassing experience by working her hardest at Sweet Apple Acres Starburst laid down in her bed, she sighed and stood up And I can’t even sleep, great can this day get any better?

She walked outside and sat down on her balcony, she gazed upwards and watched as stars twinkled on the night sky.

Suddenly happened something unexpected one of the stars started to fall.

“Huh a Starfall, I mean falling star, oh whatever.” Starburst sighed and stood up walking back to her room, she laid down in her bed and closed her eyes, not knowing that somewhere out there was her Star.
