Pinkamena 6: The Walking Dead
Chapter 1: The Game Shop
Load Full Story Next ChapterPinkamena walked along the back wall of the shop, eyeing the games.
"So, you run a game shop, huh?" she asked, poking at a game.
Zack stayed behind the counter. "Uh... yeah."
Pinkamena looked over her shoulder at him. Her face had two areas where a large chunk of skin was missing. One was around her mouth which showed her jaw bone. The other was a strip from her cheek down her neck that showed her muscle. She wasn't really bleeding, though.
"So..." she said with a smirk. "You like games, huh?"
She began approaching the counter.
"Um..." Zack said hesitantly. "I guess?"
Pinkamena stopped at the counter, staring into Zack's eyes.
"Something we have in common." said Pinkamena. "We both like games."
"But your games are real." said Zack. "Mine are digital."
Pinkamena circled around to the back of the counter. Zack backed up as Pinkamena approached him, stopping when he hit the counter. Pinkamena stood in front of him.
"You gonna kill me?" he asked.
"Kill you?" asked Pinkamena. "Why would I kill you? You did everything I asked... so far."
"So far?"
Pinkamena nodded. "I have so much more planned for you?"
"Like what?"
"Your next five customers are to be given to me so I can regain my strength... and my life."
"Give them to you?" he asked. "You're gonna kill them aren't you?"
Pinkamena let out a laugh. "Of course. How else would I be able to steal their life energy?"
"I won't do it." said Zack sternly.
Pinkamena's eyes narrowed as her smile faded.
"Excuse me?" she asked.
"I won't do it." Zack repeated.
Pinkamena let out a yell as she forced Zack backwards, pinning his head against the counter top. He caught a pretty good view of Pinkamena's sharp, metal teeth as well.
"LISTEN UP AND LISTEN GOOD!" she yelled. "DON'T LET MY FRIENDLINESS MAKE YOU THINK I WON'T KILL YOU, UNDERSTAND?! NOW, DO AS I SAY OR I WILL KILL YOU!" She let out a sigh. "If I was you, I think I'd wanna stay on my good side. Am I right?" Zack nodded, trying not to cry. "Very good. So can I expect you to play along?" Zack nodded again. "Fantastic." Pinkamena quickly glanced over at the door. "Our first customer." She darted into the back room. "You know what to do."
The customer was a grey mare with a pink mane.
"Hello." she greeted.
"Morning." said Zack, sweating as he turned to face her. "Need help?"
"Nah, I'm good." said the mare.
"Do it now." he heard Pinkamena whisper.
"What do you want me to say?" Zack whispered back.
"Make something up."
"Aw, you're out." said the mare.
"Sorry?"
"The game I was looking for. It's not on the shelf."
Zack gulped. "Perhaps what you're looking for is in the back. Why don't you look?"
"Can I?" asked the mare.
"Sure. Just don't mess anything up."
The mare began walking to the back room. Zack suddenly felt an urge.
"Wait. Don't go back there."
The mare stopped and took a step back. "Huh? But you said--"
"I know. I know. But you can't."
"But, wh--"
"Just go!" yelled Zack, without thinking how it would come out.
The mare took a few more steps backwards before turning to run for the door, bumping into the pink mare. Pinkamena put a hoof around the mare before biting into her neck. She then tore a large chunk off. Blood poured out of the wound as the mare's body collapsed to the floor. Zack moved out behind the counter.
"No." he whispered, looking down at the body.
He then looked up at Pinkamena's face. She looked pretty angry.
"You're the second one that's tried to screw me out of a good meal." She began moving towards Zack. "Only Fern succeeded."
Zack began backing away. He lost his balance and fell to his knees. Pinkamena stopped in front of him
"I'm sorry." he cried. "Please forgive me."
Pinkamena knelt down in front of him.
"You do realize that my self control is the only thing keeping you alive right now, right?" Zack nodded. "And you don't want me to lose my self control, do you?" Zack shook his head. "ANSWER ME!"
"No." said Zack softly.
"Better." said Pinkamena. She stood up. "Now do we have an understanding?"
Zack nodded, then looked up at Pinkamena. She had a frown on her face and her eyes were narrowed.
"Yes." answered Zack.
Pinkamena smiled. "Good."
