Chapter 12: Filli Fiance Part Two

Filli Fiance Part Two
Present Time

“Mommy,” squeaked the voice of the alicorn princess.

Only god knew how much time had passed since Twilight had entered the doorway. You sat there you member deflated as it finished firing thread after thread of hot seed onto Dazzle’s throat. The first load was now working its way down her esophagus while the rest was dropping onto the floor as it slid off her coat.

You were still wearing your uniform, the black butler suit that was hoof tailored just for you.  Something in the back of your mind wondered if this was considered unprofessional.

“Twilight… you're home early!” Dazzle said trying to change the subject from the painfully obvious encounter. “How was the Crystal Empire?”

Twilight said nothing; words were failing her at the moment. This… this whole situation was… not, no not was not the word. There was a word; it was on the tip of her tongue. She prided herself on her extended vernacular. Yet, she could not come up with a word for what she was seeing.

Her mother was giving Pinkie Pie’s special human a blowjob. Yup, that is what she walked in on. She didn’t need any more confirmation on whether you were cheating on Pinkie any more.

Whew, that was off her to-do list now.

She didn’t even want to think about how Pinkie would react when she broke the news to her. That was for later though, now she needed to find why her mother was there.

The last she checked her mother and father were madly in love with each other. No marriage problems, heck they rarely ever even fought. Maybe it was the frolic, it wouldn’t be the first time a mare went crazy and did something stupid during it.

No, mom wouldn’t go that far, and she already had a stallion. Yet, here she was… Twilight, blinked. No it wasn’t her mother’s fault; there is no logical reason why she would be here. Which means that there can only be one solution to why she was here in the first place?

You.

“What are you doing to my mother!?” Twilight snapped as her brows furrowed together and her glare met yours.

You opened your mouth to speak, but no sound came out. What did she really want you to say? You were going to be completely honest with her, but really this whole scene was pretty self-explanatory. You took a moment to zip up; Twilight didn’t need to see that. “Look Twilight, I know this looks really, really bad, but I can explain it.” As soon as I think of a good reason.

“Oh I want to hear this.” Twilight said as she took a step forward.

“Twilight dear,” Dazzle said as she whipped around, “I never meant for you to see—“her voice was cut short as several of the towering boxes shifted. The only warning the mare got was the shadow of the first box heading right for her.

It happened in but a moment as you leapt from the bed to cover the mare, only for her to disappear a moment before you were able to touch her.

Crrr-uuuSh

A moment passed as you were buried under the contents of the boxes. You vision became dark and you now had the worst headache in the entire world. All of the boxes were completely filled with rocks of varying shapes and sizes. It took a minute to compose yourself as the ringing in your head finally subsided.

“Mom are you ok?” you heard Twilight whisper.

You started to dig your way out, after a few handfuls you were finally rewarded with light. Twilight had Dazzle cradled in her front hooves as she kept checking her vitals. Dazzle was knocked out. You only could wish you were lucky enough for that. It was then you had finally noticed, all off the rocks were blue and had a slimy feel to them.

It was oddly familiar.

“Don’t worry Twilight, I think one of the rock may have just got a lucky shot on her.”  You weren’t going to mention how every other rock hit you but you were going to poke the hornets’ nest.

Kruk

You words gave no solace to the mare as she looked over her mother’s body.  It was then, she noticed, her eyes turned to pins. There was several long bruises covering her coat and she even had a black eye.  Her gaze fell to you almost in a heartbeat.

“Did you do this to her!?”

For the first time in a long time you had to really think about lying, but Twilight was the element of harmony and even a princess. If anyone could understand if would be Twilight.

Kruk- Kruk

“To be honest Twilight, technically, I did.” You stated as you lifted your hands up from the rubble in an ‘I’m innocent’ gesture, it was then you caught note of the steam that had begun to roll off your skin. “But let me explain, you see if she just listened to me—“You said.

“Explain what!? Its obvious you held my mom against her will and took advantage of her. I can see the bruises!” Twilight yelled, tears where bordering her eyes.

You pointed a finger at her, “I have never, EVER, taken advantage of her. Just ask your dad he…” you stopped yourself. This was a secret, granted a secret that was about to be exposed, but still a secret. You however made a promise to both of them that you wouldn’t tell a soul, even if that soul was a alicorn princess.

You could almost foresee the huge misunderstanding this would cause, you hated those. You however, would never, EVER break a promise. It was your mortal bond that drove you. You would rather lose your penis than break your word.

Ironically you and Twilight were on the same page.

Krrrrrrrrrrmmmk-kik

You could almost feel the hatred emanating off the mare. You had to squint to see it, but she was actually producing a very light velvet aura. You however were looking into the piercing eyes of the enraged alicorn and the tears that were beginning to swell around her eyes.

“Twilight, I swear I didn’t—“

Twilight knew what she saw, the very notion that her mother had cheat on her father refused to cross her mind. That thought wasn’t an option. She was covered in deep bruises all over her body. Not to mention a black, slightly swollen, eye.

Twilight though had one singular thought on her mind. He hurt her mother, openly admitted it. He was violent, no pony or human lays a claw, hood, or hand on another. It was enough for a final thought to click a thought that was perfection.

Throw the book at him. He would never see the light of day again. Twilight was the princess; she had the right to be the judge. Her first case would be to bring down the man who sexually assault her mother and battery.  He betraying Pinkie was just a personal bonus.

“Quite, I know what you did. I’m going to bind you and take you in personally.”

Krrrrrrrrrrrrrmk-Crick

Your voice was cut off as the dark wood floor boards gave way that was directly below your feet. It only took you a moment and you fell back first to the first floor. Luckily, an oriental glass case  that held the elements of harmony broke your fall, completely shattering the box under your weight. You didn’t get a moments rest, a waterfall of blue stones poured on you from above.

You slowly opened your eyes; you were looking directly up to the hole in Twilight’s floor. Again, looking into the teary eyes of the alicorn princess.

“I can fix this,” You stated, as your pupils went wide as you looked on at Twilight. Her horn began to glow. “Stop Twilight, I swear I didn’t do what you’re thinking!” You could only assume what she was thinking started with the letter ‘R’, A foul word that you shall ever utter from your lips.

You could only guess what was running though the mares mind. You however knew one thing when Twilight was like this. There was just no talking to her. The binding bolt left the tip of her horn; it looked like a purple goo bola whipping through the air. It felt like you were watching one of those slow motion films as the world around you seemed to stand still as the bola from above flew closer and closer to you.

Pfffffffff

The pinkish purple bola split into several pieces as several of the blue stones absorbed the blast in a matter of a tenth of a second. It took a moment to remember as the memory came flooding back to you. These were those rare stones that Spike was guarding from Alicorn Way, ones that absorb magical properties. Then you realized why you fell through the floor, these stones absorbed the effects of Grandpa Apple’s special apples. Down side was now you were now more dense and there was probably little chance that Twilight was going to use her magic to decrease your mass again.

Your smirk was wiped from your face as Twilight gaze met yours. Several veins started to pulsate below her fur. It was one of the scariest things that you had ever seen in your entire life.

Her eyes closed and you could see the ripples in the air as her coat began to shimmer. Her mane exploded in a bright – almost blinding – flash. It took you a second for your eyes to adjust to what you were looking at. Twilight’s mane was completely on fire, no, it was MADE of fire. Her coat had taken on the color of white hot ash. Her wings had taken on a pristine hue similar to her mane. It was almost beautiful in a way. Then she looked at you again with those eyes.

You corrected yourself; this was the scariest thing you had ever seen in your life.

You didn’t take a moment to fling yourself forward as you ran out the front door of the library. Twilight was not in a talking mood and you had to wait for her to come to her senses. You only had one job, run, fast.

Ponyville

Cupcake took a deep breath as she finished taking the photos of her old home, Sugercube Corner. It was a weird feeling, going over the wreckage. The insurance company though needed photos, she didn’t know why. It was quite literally two blocks away. The claims agent could see for himself if he looked out the window.

She knew why though, today was a national holiday in a matter of speaking. The frolic had officially begun. She could smell it in the air. Mares were now showering the streets to try to find companionship to help sooth their bodies for the event.

Some had even taken to ‘celebrating’ early. Not even bothering to try to find a room, who needed a room when there were bushes and roofs and back alleys to fornicate in. A small sigh left her lips as she gathered up the last bit of evidence beyond the photography, a few pieces of burnt lumber.

It was almost disheartening to think about how much it would cost to rebuild. It was nice for the Apple family to take her and her own in while the repairs were going to be made. It just meant she had to start from square one again. A small crimson rush came over her cheeks. It was a new life, new beginnings and most importantly, a new family.

“Cupcake is that you?”

It took but a moment for reality to crash down upon her. She didn’t want to look, she knew the voice well. Too well, since them both owned shops in the same neighborhood. Not to mention, she was one of Pinkie’s best friends.

Rarity.

Cupcake twisted in place, mind churning as to why she was here a day sooner than expected. Her heart jumped to her throat as thankfully Pinkie Pie was not with her. That still didn’t stop her from wanting to back pedal out of area.

“Rarity, it’s been so long. How are things? How was the Crystal Empire?” Cupcake said, her voice almost hyper.

“Oh dear, it was dreadful. I can’t tell you how many parasites we had to get rid of. Don’t even get me started on our trip back home.” Rarity sighed as she looked at the rubble behind Cupcake. “I see you had a small accident.”

“Yes,” Cupcake said trying to think of the best way to get out of this conversation. “Propane tanks caught on fire. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but as you can see the shop wasn’t so lucky.”

“I hope you were insured dearie, it would just be dreadful for you to try to cover this cost all alone.” Rarity stated with genuine concern.

“It’s alright, I’m taking photos to take to the agency now. So…” she took a moment to put the camera into her saddle bag. “I’m going to get going.  Happy frolic Rarity.”

“Oh, Cupcake just one moment please. You may be about to help me. I’m looking for Pinkie’s special friend.” Rarity stated as she chose her word with the utmost care. “I have a few questions to ask him.”

Cupcake froze in place as Rarity was now just out of her line of sight. “No dear, I haven’t. If I do see him I’ll send him your way. Will you be here long?”

“No, I only came here for a moment. Although there is a small inquiry that I would like to ask you personally. I you wouldn’t mind that is?”

Cupcake bit her lower lip and looked down to the end of the street, “Let’s talk later Hun, I am quite busy at the moment…” she trailed off.

Rarity didn’t move as the words flowed from her mouth like water. “So you did have sex with him didn’t you?”

Cupcake’s eyes fell to the ground as she took a step back, like a filly with her hoof caught in a cookie jar. It wasn’t a big secret, not anymore, about what had transpired just a few days before. Almost the whole town knew about it.

There was a multitude of options she could have choice from. Every muscle in her back started to tighten together as the first instinct to run away washed over her. “How long have you known?”

Rarity didn’t speak for a moment as she carefully chose her words, “You betrayed Pinkie.”

The words fell like hot daggers piercing Cup Cake’s sides, blades salted with guilt as the poison coating the sharpened blades. Cupcake couldn’t speak; she knew this was going to happen soon or later.

“No, you know what I’m sorry Cupcake. I’m sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation why you had sex with him. So please tell me the reason, tell me so that I can tell Pinkie.” She stated as she began to circle her pray.

Here was an element that Rarity loathed, but secretly liked, drama.

“It wasn’t like that, we just…” she paused, “it just kind of happened.” There was more, far more she wanted to say, but the words never came. They fell to the back of her mind; try as she might to dredge them up.

“It just happened?” She rolled her eyes, “please tell me you’re joking. I’m sorry Pinkie, but it just happened. There was no way to stop it. How did the foreplay go I wonder? Did he cover you in frosting and eat it off!”

Cupcake opened her mouth to speak but closed it almost immediately, she didn’t need to know.

Cupcake took a breather as she steeled her nerves, “Rarity, I know what I did was wrong. There is nothing I can do to apologize to Pinkie for, but I do love him and if—“

Rarity’s eye twitched, “You LOVE him? Oh, no no! The hay you do, I refuse to let that be some cheap cop out. ‘I love him Pinkie, please forgive me.’ Screw that. No way. Not happening.”

Cupcake lifted her head, “he does love me, and he loves Pinkie, Cheerilee and Mary too!”

Rarity stood there for a moment as the words slowly sunk in. It was almost painful to watch as the twitch of her left eye started to become a tick that followed the rhythm of her growing heart rate. “Don’t tell me…” Rarity stated, her voice was strangely calm.

“Yes, it pricey what you’re thinking,” Cupcake stated, trying to give off a more informational tone than one that seemed offensive.  “He started herding, just because he is human doesn’t mean he can’t, there is no law stating that.”

She had Mary check.

Several drops of cold sweat left fell from the brow of the marshmallow mare. “Do you even know what he has done?!”

“Cheated, we both did,” Cupcake said as she scraped some bravado from deep within. “I know what we did was wrong to Pinkie but she will understand. It’s not like we were attacking her.”

Rarity’s mouth almost dropped, “Pinkie hates the idea of herding, why do you think she spent all that time alone! She finally found someone and you… YOU! AHHHG!” Rarity face twisted, “it was you that twisted ba… ba… BASTARD,” Rarity hated using vulgar language. “You put the idea in his head didn’t you? Pinkie Pie always was worried that he might try that. There were so many damn options. I really thought he was better than that.”

Cupcake could feel her heart sink into her chest, she never knew. To make it worse, it was her idea that sparked the whole herding concept.

Rarity would never lay a single hoof on a mare to strike her over domestic drama. Although now she was very tempted, still though, that was beneath her. She however did know how to strike the right cords to get the results she wanted. “I hope you’re happy, Pinkie loved him more than words can say. She was planning on asking him to marry her when she got back.”  This not only meant she would be consoling Pinkie Pie for who knows how long, but now she couldn’t make any wedding dresses.

“She never even hinted…”

“It’s Pinkie, everything is surprises with her!” Rarity yelled, almost tears now brimming around the edges of her eyes. “Her home is gone, the man she loved cheated on her with the mare she considered a second mother!”

Cupcake stood still as the words sunk in. She tried to hide her face, it was no use. She tried to hold them, but the tears still fell to the ground.  “I’m sorry.” She whispered, her words were never heard. The world around shifted as the marshmallow mare and the scenery changed.

To be looking into the beady red eyes of the local draconequus.

Ponyville Library

The little pink filly was head down, eyes closed as she took a moment to calm her mind on the task before her. She was going to steal, although, in her mind it was just giving them back to the original owner. Stealing though was a new idea to her, taking something without paying. She had more money than she knew what to do with.

She was standing next to a lone bush that banked on the far side of the library. Shadowing over her was two trees that covered her perfectly. In her bag was several tools. A rope, smoke bombs, screwdrivers, gold dust and a few other things that her mentor told her to get for the mission. Her ‘mentor’, her long loved stuffed companion Tibbers, was pressed tight against her back thanks her saddle bag.

There was one thing on her mind that kept pulling her out of her out of her funk. It wasn’t the wish, to who if she was able to steal the gems she would be granted her heart’s desire. It wasn’t even the new found power that was flowing through her thanks to Tibbers. Although it was pretty cool too will nature to her whim.

It was her suit, a black skin tight outfit that she bought on a whim at the local joke shop in the adults’ only section in the back. She having become a full fledge mare the previous night thanks to her husband to be. It was nice to find the black suit she was looking for right away.

She had made a mental note to explore more when she returned, there was a large array of really colorful back massagers that she wanted to look at. Thankfully the store was still being run on the honor system that early in the morning so there was no one to question her as she paid in full.

The suit however – which she is now was mentally kicking herself for not checking— had two huge holes in it. The worst part is they were right under her tail. Her pink plot was sticking out for all to see. If anypony saw her rump it would not take much deducing to figure out who was under the outfit.

“This outfit is riding up my tail.” Diamond said as she adjusted her suit for the fourth time.

“I told you that you didn’t even need it. Buying all this stuff wasn’t even necessary.” Tibbers stated as he adjusted himself under the belt, making sure that he was still touching her fur. “Ok, do you remember the plan?”

Diamond nodded, “Go in through the wall, locate and dispense with the magic protecting the elements and use our magic to open the case. Take said elements and then proceed through the wall again to make our great escape.”

“An overly simplified version but as long as you got the concept, I’m sure we'll be alright. What will you do if you encounter some pony?”

Diamond looked to her saddle bag, “Use the blue knock out dust you made from the weird flowers.”

“Ok, just remember to keep your cool. Don’t crack under the pressure and do not freak out.”

Diamond didn’t say a word, she didn’t need too, she was finally in the zone. Her mind was sharp and her wit was keen. She fell on the ground her stomach pressed against the grass. She could feel the humming of the earth below as she inched herself forward.

She stopped mid-way between the library and the bush; she was spotted by a squirrel. She could feel its presence through the ground as it stood on the lone branch. She raised her hoof in the air and with a downward swipe motion will the limb to bend, sending the squirrel flying.

Right into a bush three hundred meters away, onto a couple who were celebrating… vigorously.

The filly took a deep breath as she lunged herself across the remaining gap. Her eyes darted back and forth scanning the area, all clear. She closed her eyes as she tapped into the magic and tried to connect with the tree. Her hoof pressed a centimeter though the bark before it was pushed back out.

“It’s not working.” Diamond stated mildly annoyed.

“Try again, this time try thinking of what the tree feels like.”

“That’s stupid.” Diamond did as she was told and tried again. The bark gave way only to snap back as her hoof pressed an inch into the cork of the tree. “It’s not working.”

“Look Diamond, I know you’re not good at this yet. Time is of the essence here. Calm your mind, feel the flow of nature going through you. With me here you can move mountains. Become one with the tree, become the tree. Sense the life force of the tree.” Tibbers stated in a tone that sake the words of sages in millennia past.

“How about we just go through the open window?” Diamond said as she pointed to the new found entryway.

Tibbers could only face-paw. “Or we can go through the open window.” It didn’t take much effect skittering up half a foot and pulling herself into the study. For less effort than trying to walk through the tree itself.

Both Diamond and Timber both stopped in their tracks, they couldn’t believe it.

[…]

Diamond’s smile was almost ear to ear as she sat down on a lone tree trunk near the edge of the forest. Sitting on the ground in front of her bathed in the morning sun was all six of the elements of harmony.

“I can’t believe they were just lying on the ground,” Tibbers stated mildly annoyed. They were his body, great relics of the nation, the reason why the nation was able to even service. There they all were, just lying on the ground in the library.

“So this means I get my wish right?” Diamond said still beaming. “It may have been easier to get, but you did promise me my wish. No take backs.”

Tiber just nodded, “Don’t worry; you will get your wish the moment you think of it. You have my word.”

Diamond just seed on the inside as visions of all that she ever wanted pass over her eyes. Her wedding with her future husband could be done in a church made of pure gold. No, a land of candy. She shook her head. Candy is bad for braces. A thought she dredged, but her fiancé openly admitted that her thought fillies with braces were cute.

“So what now? You going to cast some super magic spell to get your body back or something?” Diamond questioned.

Tibbers sighed, “No, not so much. You see first we need to take these to get purified in the waters of life. I can’t even touch them until then. Right now the only ponies who can even access them is the elements themselves.” He took a breath, “But that is easy enough, after that I unite with my host and in time when my magic has grown strong enough I will be able come back into this world.”

Diamonds eyes widened, “You’re not going to use my Tibbers forever?”

Tibbers looked down at his bear form, “No this right here is temporary, when I unite with my host we will be sharing the same body until I am strong enough. Besides the qualification for being my host is long.”

Diamond gave a small sigh of relief, “So what are the qualifications,” she stated mildly interested, but more so on her wish.

“Well, they have to be the same gender; we both need to possess similar characteristics. Which is beyond important. Most importantly—“

“Needs to be old.” Diamond interrupted.

“No… they need to be alive, but have a heart that beats less than twice a minute. Any more than that then my body would over power there’s and shatter their existence. A temporary host though would not need this though.”

Diamond raised a brow, “You’re never going to find a pony like that.”

A twisted grin grew on the bear’s muzzle, “oh I already have. His name is…”

Ponyville – Grandpa’s Diner

“Grandpa Apple!”

Love was in the air, and the smell of all hay pancakes. The small diner that sat on the edge of town was filled with couples. Some single booths and some large families. Several for special seating for stallions with large herds. One table, away at the back sat a special couple.

One was a mare that was more well-known than Celestia in these parts, Granny Smith. The other, whose name was more known than his face, Grandpa Apple.

Mr. Apple looked to his side to see his old friend, Dirge. “Evening Dirge, I’m glad to see the restaurant business is still booming.”

“Well with the frolic going on a stallion need to keep busy,” his gaze left his old pal to accompany his guest. “Well Mrs. Smith you are just as beautiful as I remember. When you are going to dump your husband for me.”

Granny Smith barely even acknowledging his praises as she stared vacantly at the photo above the table. Her mind elsewhere.

Both stallions waited for a reply but got none. “Day dreaming I see, well I’m going to start working up on your usual. Mrs. Smith I’m going to get you an extra serving, you’re looking a little pale.” Dirge stated as he made his way back to the counter. “Happy anniversary you two!”

Grandpa Apple sat back down, taking a hoof into his as he lean over and gave a peck on her cheek. Finally snapping her out of her stasis. “Wassat!?”

“I’m glad I’m not boring you,” he said half teasing. “Happy Anniversary my love, today marks our forty-two years together.”

“Ooh… Ahh right. Sorry Hun, my mind was elsewhere. Thinking about stuff.” She stated, almost crestfallen. “Hun there is something I wanted to talk to you about.”

“I know, and I wanted to talk to you as well. I can’t tell you how long I been wanting to show you this.” He said as he placed a small box onto the table. “It took me forty years but I finally was able to keep my promise to you.”

The elderly mare rolled her eyes, “Hun if this is another trinket from one of your adventures like last time.” Her mouth clamped shut as she saw you remove the top of the small box. It was an apple. She had seen it before, but this one was different. I was striped with the colors of the rainbow. It was a zap apple, an out of season zap apple.

“H-how?” was the only word that left her lips.

“I made a contract with a friend of mine. She can turn apple trees into zap apples trees.” He chose to omit the part where she is a dangerous thunder mare, he would just tell her later… when she is asleep.

“Y-you remembered?!”

The young stallion nodded, “I promised you an orchard all those many years ago. Zap apples as far as the eye can see.” He leaned in, “Not to mention a large family, I think we’re doing well on that one.”

The elderly mare smiled for a brief moment and looked at the window that was where the start was looking to the sky. “Hun, you given me more in this life than I could ever want. Its thanks to you I could even have our foal.”

He nuzzled her cheek, “It’s been a long road my love, and there will be many more to come.”

A single tear dripped down her cheek.  “Hun, there is something I want to tell you. You remember when I went in for that check up a few months ago?”

In all honesty he didn’t remember, but she didn’t need to know that. “Hun you go in for a checkup every month, you always come back healthy as a horse.” She didn’t get the pun. “What did they tell you this time, there going to up the cost of your muscle creams?”

“No Hun… it’s a little more serious this time.” She stated in a whisper, “Would you mind if we go to our spot?” A deep crimson overset the golden coat of the stallion; he knew full well what that mare wanted. The spot was where they first met, all those many years ago.

“Well I guess we could get the food to go.” He stated feigning mild disinterest as he tried to resist a smirk.

~~~ Everfree Forest ~~~
The leaves varied shifted by in the morning wind. Rabbits and foxes skittered about as one ran from the other. The Ponyville River flowed by several meters away. Although this forest was quite dangerous, one could safely traverse if they did not go too deep into the forest.
Thankfully the glen to where the young couple met was no to deep and boarded Sweet Apple Acres. The path they took was one that was well hidden, an old deer trail that ran several miles in.
“This is getting harder and harder,” Granny Smith said as she rested on her stallions back, her back legs had finally given out.
“You’re going to be saying that again in about thirty seconds.” The stallion snickered as he pushed passed the finally bush. The clearing was nothing special, but it was theirs. To the far side was a thick oak tree with a heart carved into the trunk. “Remember when I carved this?”
Granny Smith barley gave it a glance as she slumped down next to the oak. Taking a long moment to catch her breath, “I do, it was after you finally agreed to go on a date me.”
“To be honest, I never thought you would be so darn persistent. I wasn’t much of anything back then.” The stallion said as he took the place of honor next to his wife, his eyes half lidded as he looked over her body.
“Hun, now were here I wanted to tell you something—“she cut herself off as she felt two hooves start caressing her cutie mark.
“Go on.”
“Hun stop, I want to have a serious talk—“she ended in a small whimper as he started to draw circles into her fur. Even at her age, this was still a very effective tactic.
“No please go on; don’t mind me I’m listening.” He said in a heated breath as he inched closer.
Sadly she knew how to counter his advance, her legs closed cutting off any foreplay advancement as she bit into his ear. Hard.
“Ahhh… Ok, I get it.” He said half hurt. He really did like satisfying her needs, today being the frolic as well. “I can take a hint so what do you want to talk about.”
“Hun I want you to promise me not to freak out.”
His eyes widen, “you’re pregnant!?”
“What? No, where did you get that idea.”
“Well… you know… it still can happen. The magic is still in effect.”
The elderly mare just rubbed her stomach, her foal bearing years were long since behind her. Even so, if her husband’s seed ever found enter into her again, even now at her age she could still conceive a child.
“No Hun, I’m not pregnant, I want you to promise me not to freak out.” Her tone caring a deathly serious note.
“Fine, fine I promise.” He stated.
The elderly mare didn’t hesitate any longer as she pulled out a piece of paper from her saddle pack. It was scrolled up and had fine golden trim. The edges bore gavels and on the edges were magical runes at prevented that paper from be forged, copied, or depending on the intensity of the magic, destroyed.
“A legal document,” he stated at the first glance. “Hun if you want me to reinstate my vows you don’t needs a new marriage license to do so.”
“It’s not a marriage license, Hun.”
Grumbling he opened the parchment, “I, Linda Smith Apple herby within this… with sound mind and body…” The stallion stopped reading aloud as he scrolling through it. “You wrote out your will!?”
“You promised me you wouldn’t freak out.”
“I’m not I’m just confused Hun, we talked about this. We have plans, you’re not dying.” The stallion stated as he cupped her head into his hooves.
Granny Smith looked down at her lover, more precisely his features. In the entire time that she had known him he had not aged a day. His fur was still as bright and as immaculate as when they first met. His eyes still had that caring gleam from oh so long ago. Even now he still smells of fresh cut grass and books.
“I was young when I said I wanted that, Hun I don’t want to live forever. I have lived a long a fruitful life—“
“No.” It wasn’t a command or even a rejection, “we promised to be together forever, alive.”
“I can’t Hun,” she said looking back not in sadness but in worry. “I didn’t think you were telling me the truth back then when you said you couldn’t age. I thought you were just trying to weird me out so I would stop hounding you. Really who would believe it. Please my love, I don’t have much time.”
“Is that what that doctor told you!? He doesn’t know nothing, we can get a second—“
“No my love, i been wanting to tell you for a while now. I was told I had a few months to live, that was nine months ago. Even now I’m running on borrowed time. I don’t want to live like this. It hurts my love, living hurts. I can’t move without something cracking or breaking. I don’t want to live forever like this. Please, I have made my peace.”
The words washed over the stallion, all the plans that he had ever made now went up in smoke. “Alright my love, I understand.” He said as he held his wife closer than he ever had. He took a moment to each her scent into his mind. “I love you my sweet…” he whispered.
Those were the final words as the mare closed her eyes and held her beloved.
Forty Six Minutes Later
The Apple stallion awoke in a mild daze, food and a warm patch of sun made it more than enough to put him in a food coma. He took a moment to enjoy the patch of sun that had shifted slightly giving him the entire spot.
“Hmmm Hun, lets finish the desert and go back to the house. I am in the mood for some… apple pie.” He chuckled to himself. Lazily he leaned up and nuzzled her mane. He could only smile, the smile she was wearing was the peaceful.
A twisted grin grew on his face as he leaned to the other side of her mane and blew a hot gust into her ear. She hated when he did that.
She didn’t move. He sighed and gave her a quick peck on the forehead, he pulled away, he could feel his heart sink into his chest.
She was cold.
“No… not now. It’s too soon.” He glanced from side to side as every ounce of first aid college came to the forefront of his mind. Four thousand seven hundred and twenty nine years of equestrian medicine poured through.
It wasn’t his fault, it was just her time.
“Baby, come back to me.” The stallion said as he check over her vitals. The first aid kit he kept in his saddle bag was in the far back of his mind. There was nothing in there that could jumpstart a heart.
She was happy, you fulfilled her dying wish.
The stallion didn’t stop, no matter how much his mind told him how futile it was. He had seen worse, the nearly dead making a full recovery by some means. Herbs, potions, magic and the like, this was no different; he knew he could save her.
She lived a full life; you gave her a child when she could never have one. Be happy.
He was crying, he had not noticed it. The only thing in his world was the mare before him. Tear after tear fell against the cold body.
The march of time is always there, it makes no exceptions.
Then the tears ran dry but were soon replaced with sweat. He pressed down on her chest after he filled her lungs with oxygen. Her heart remained still.
If only she wanted to keep her promise…
It was an idea…
All of his years of medical knowledge ran dry as he knew there was no cure for death. He had walked alongside his best friend who was the embodiment of magic and even that could not bring back the dead.
“No… that isn’t right.” He knew a person who cheated death. It was simple… ridiculously simple. “I just need to make a few adjustments is all.” The stallion knew time was of the essence. In his heart he knew she would return to him, by his side, young forever.
With a new body… a young body free from the pain of time.
It was so… so simple.
The stallion looked to the sun that patched though the trees, “I need to find Diamond Tiara.”
Grandpa Apple lit several minds of incense, mainly used to keep the animals away while he was ‘busy’ with Granny Smith, now being used to guard her body from being eaten. “I promise my love we'll be together again soon.” He whispered. He said a silent prayer, it wasn’t much. He wasn’t the religious type, even though she was.
He left her, never had he ran so fast in his life.
