The gods of Chaos stir again to play their Great Game. Through the manipulation of the Ruinous Powers, entire races and nations are displaced and scattered from their homelands in a strange new world. Here is a world which has been slowly and irreversibly losing a great war against countless and diverse foes for many millennium.
The High Elves of Ulthuan hold back the tide of their vengeful brethren, the Dwarfs of the World's Edge wage an unending battle against the limitless and barbaric greenskin hordes, and the mighty Empire of Man stands as the bulwark against the Great Terror, connecting the age old Alliance of Order. If the Empire were to fall, it would spell the doom of the Old World.
Six mares find themselves at the center of the next great incursion. The chosen of the dark gods rallies the peoples and beasts of the north to war once more, and the Empire shall be beset as it has not known since the age of the Heldenhammer. Can the rising tide of Chaos be turned, or will the world be drowned in blood?
