It's been a few months since Ninroot became a batpony and she felt good about being one she learned the perks of being a batpony like being able to fly, hearing two times better than any other pony but she still wondered why batponies were disliked in the pony community, but she also felt different as well, not in a good way though she felt ill ever since the night before. She just thought it was flu season and shrugged it off. That night she confronts Teky with her question of why batponies are disliked so much.

"Hey Teky, why do you think ponies don't like batponies?" She asked getting Teky's attention, he was working on a small gadget but he quickly puts it down.

"Why do you ask Nin? Is somepony messing with you?" He asked with concern.

"No, no it's just... I get the feeling ponies feel uncomfortable around me, they still talk to me but I get the feeling they are trying to avoid me." She said while looking down at her hooves

"Don't feel that way Nin I'm sure ponies still like you, but to answer your question about why ponies dislike the batponies I think I know a place where we can find out." Said Teky while getting out of his seat and pulling out a suitcase.

"Where?" Asked Ninroot

"A new town opened not to long ago called Neighvada a gambling town and odd enough its a diverse town that accepts all the species of ponies, batponies, and griffons can converse and associate with one another and best of all... Gamble!" Said Teky with excitement

"You're a gambling pony?" She asked with a smirk

"One of the best, I mean how do you think I always have enough money to build my inventions?" He asked while packing clothing and money.

"Selling contraptions?" She answered unsure about what Teky might say.

"I bet ponies to games of blackjack an poker. And I sell my contraptions of course. Thats how I was able to travel to Ponyville, Manehatten has its fair share of casinos." Said Teky with a cocky smirk "Anyhow I say we go to Neighvada for two reasons. One, I know somepony who can help you answer your question. And two, I need a vacation!" He said while closing the suitcase

"Well you can do what you like, but whos the pony you had in mind?" Ninroot asked with curiosity

"My granfather." He replied

"What! Why?" Ninroot asked surprised at Teky's answer.

"Remember when I told you he was in the Manehatten Mafia?" Asked Teky while looking at Ninroot

"Yeah" She replied

"Well Mafia's main rival family was the Batpony family or the Wings and Fangs Clan" He said with a serious face

"The Wings and Fangs Clan?" She said with curiosity.

"Yeah from what my grandfather told me is that they were a family of murderers, rapists, and sex traffickers. But he may be able to tell you more about them." He said with a shrug

"Wow, that sounds real harsh." She said with a shocked face.

"Yeah but lets focus on the positive. We're going to Neighvada! So I say... We celebrate." Said Teky while giggling deviously and getting closer to Ninroot who was enchanted by him at that point, they dashed for the bedroom and... Celebrated.

After a night of "Celebrating" Teky and Ninroot get things ready to go to Neighvada "The Miracle In The Desert." They hop onto a train together to get to the town but that morning Ninroot felt odd, she felt a tad ill but shrugged it off thinking it could be the breakfast she ate on the train, the train food isn't the greatest. When they got to Neighvada it was everything they imagined it to be, bright colorful, and comforting. As they arrive at the train station what Teky said about diversity, ponies, griffons, and batponies were interacting with one another as if there were no conflict what so ever. As they walked the streets they saw fancy hotels and casinos. Which reminded Ninroot of something.

"Where are we going to stay!?" She asked frantically.

"Don't worry Nin, my grandfather is the founder of the Silver Rose Casino, my cousin runs it but my grandfather still owns it, I'm sure he'll give us a room." Said Teky reassuringly.

"Well that's good, I thought we would have to sleep under a bridge!" She said jokingly.

"That's impossible, this town doesn't have a bridge." He said as he giggled. After some walking they finally get to the Silver Rose Casino, When they enter the casino they see many slot machines, card tables, a roulette wheel, a buffet and a small stage where surprisingly Trixie was doing a bit and near the stage was a balding middle aged stallion with a cigar counting money, probably her manager. Teky and Ninroot pass the stage and go to the front desk where Teky's cousin Red Beamer a mare whose the same age as Teky.

"Hey Red hows things?" Asked Teky while hugging his cousin.

"Ah not much Teky,since Uncle Drill died grandpa gave me the casino." She said while putting some papers in folders.

"Why didn't Uncle Aviator get the casino?" Asked Teky

"Don't you remember his..." She clears her throat "problematico di cocaina?" She finishes in a foreign language.

"Ah già dimenticavo su questo. Accidenti mi manca." He said in the same language.

"Excuse me, um what are you talking about?" Asked Ninroot very confused

"Oh sorry we're part Dustian its the language." Said Teky as he reassured Ninroot "Anyways Red we need a room can you help us out?" He asked his cousin.

"Well I can't just give you a room. The-" She gets interrupted by a bellhop telling her that a family canceled their reservation and the room is empty. "Maybe I can help you." She said while shooing the bellhop away.

"How?" Asked Ninroot

"I guess I can give you a room for free." She said in a whisper "Here hurry, top floor room 645" She said while secretly handing them a key to the room.

"Oh, oh okay thanks Red! I owe ya!" Said Teky taking the key and going towards the stairs, after a while a climbing they finally get to the top floor and by the time they got there Teky and Ninroot were very tired because of climbing the stairs when they got into the room they were surprised to see that this room wasn't a normal room, it was the pent house.

"Oh my goodness! Its the-"

"Pent House!" Said Teky finishing Ninroot's sentence. It was only the afternoon so once they unloaded there luggage and went to Teky's grandfathers office to ask him about batponies and why they were hated. When they stepped into the office it was dimly lit, it had dark lavender wallpaper and had a Tommy gun mounted above his chair and in the chair Teky's grandfather who is hooked up to an oxygen tank.

"Teky! My boy! My my I haven't seen you since the funeral!" He said while slowly getting up. Ounce he got up and gave Teky a hug he sat back down and Teky finally asked him the question Ninroot had.

"Uh grandpa, my wife here has a question to ask you." He said gesturing at Ninroot with his hoof.

"My my ain't she a beauty I haven't seen something that good looking since back to the days in the mafia!" He said while trying to get a closer look at Ninroot.

"Okay back up grandpa, uh Nin aren't you going to ask him?" Said Teky

"Um sir, your grandson told me that you were part of the Manehatten Mafia. Is that true?" Asked Ninroot sitting down in a chair in front of the desk where Teky's grandfather sat.

"Yes that's true, why do you ask?" Asked the old stallion

"I want to know about The Wings and Fangs clan." Said Ninroot with a stern voice.
