A lot can change in a few years. People can grow, relationships can bloom, and the closest of friends can start to drift apart. For Spike, the past few years have been just that. Barely a man, he had to stand by and watch the woman of his dreams slip right through his fingers into the arms of a woman he saw as almost family, he’s watched as how his six best, and arguably, only friends in the world have started to change and go their separate ways, while he’s all but stayed the same. All and all he’s starting to believe that he’s losing everything he holds dear, and that nothing will ever end the vicious cycle that he’s been thrown into. However, when the opportunity for another chance to bask in the old times presents itself, Spike takes it and accompanies Princess Twilight Sparkle and the rest of The Elements of Harmony to the exotic land of Saddle Arabia. There, he finds Amira, a high ranking Saddle Arabian in the court of the king. As their affection for one another grows, darker forces threaten to tear the boy’s newfound happiness and sense of purpose apart. In order to stop them, he must rise up, and become the man he's always wanted to be.
