Chapter 3: Let's Shed Some Light On The Issues (Or, A Few Choice Words)

Previous Chapter

Omniscient POV

Big Macintosh, Twilite Sparkle, Applejack, and Fluttershy made their way through the doors that lead to the rest of Ponyville General Hospital. Behind those doors they found a bustling room, with nurse-ponies and doctors rushing to and fro, some going into other rooms, and others getting supplies. The group walked to the main desk and Twilight Sparkle took the initiative to ask the question.

"Where is room 315?" Twilight asked the nursepony at the desk.

"Down the right hallway, to your left, go to the elevator, then go to the third floor. Take the first corridor that you see, then walk all the way to the end. Then turn left, and your there." The pony replied, and promptly went back to work, stamping papers.

"Alright... thank you." Twilight said and turned to follow the directions the nurse had given them.

Ten minutes later, they were inside the room, looking at their Rainbow-colored friend, and the mysterious blue and green friend.

Appledash was the one to decide who to talk to first.

"Rainbow Dash, are you alright?" She asked, trotting over to the farthest bed, near the window.

"Do I look alright to you?" Rainbow Dash asked. She was mostly in a full body cast. It turned out that her right fore-leg was broken in three places, her head was wrapped in bandages, and her right wing was in a cast, because that was the one she landed on.

"Well... no." Applejack decided after taking it all in.

Meanwhile, Twilight was inspecting the stranger's injuries.

The pony in the bed was almost as severely injured as Rainbow Dash, if not more. Her left fore-leg was broken, along with her right back-leg, her head was also in bandages and her wings were in a simple cast- no extensive damage was done to them.

"Well? Are you just going to stare at me all day?" The stranger asked.

"Oh, no, sorry." Twilight replied, getting caught off guard, "Are you feeling okay?"

"Considering my condition, yes." The stranger answered with a slight nod. "Who was that colt who carried me here, I'd like to thank him."

"Wh- oh. He's a farmhand over at Applejack's apple orchard. I don't know his name." Twilight explained.

"Oh." The stranger muttered.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but... what's your name?" Twilight asked.

The stranger thought for a few seconds, but couldn't remember anything past landing on Rainbow Dash. "I can't say that I remember, really." She finally replied. 'This is funny...' She thought to herself, 'I can't remember anything from before today. It's just blank.'

"It seems you might have a bit of amnesia. Don't worry though, we'll figure out a name for you later." Twilight said, sympathetically.

"What did the Doctor say about me getting out of here?" The stranger, now with amnesia, asked.

"He said it would be a few days, but that you'll be out soon enough. You'll have to stay in your casts longer, though." Twilight replied.

"Well, alright then. I hope it goes by quickly..." She trailed off.

"So, you have amnesia, you don't remember your name... do you think you might have a house around here?" Twilight said, after thinking a moment.

'The Stranger' thought hard for a second. "Nope, I can't really remember if I have a house anywhere. I see some things, but they are really fuzzy, and nothing that would help with the questions you're asking me."

"Well then... I suppose you need a place to stay." Twilight said.

"If it's not too much trouble. After all, I was the one who crashed into your friend over there." 'The Stranger' replied.

"It can't have been your fault. Anyhoof, since Rainbow Dash can't fly up to her house, and you can't remember if you have one and where, then we need a big enough place for both of you to stay." Twilight decided.

"The Farm is big enough for the both of them, if you need, Twilight." Applejack offered.

"I don't know... are you sure about that, Applejack? Can you handle them both?" Twilight asked.

"Ah have Big Macintosh, too, Twilight, not ta mention a few other farmhands. Between us ah think we could handle it." Applejack said, reassuring Twilight that she could take care of it.

"Well thanks then, Applejack." Twilight replied, still a bit unsure.

Soon after having that conversation, a nurse came in and told them visiting hours were over. After saying goodbye the small group of ponies left the room and walked out of the hospital and to their homes.
