Chapter 5: The Origin of Going Imp

Gwen and her friends smile as they got to work on fixing their carts in some sort of junkyard like area. These racers can't wait to get them into the race. Sev and Scorch are on a hill, watching out for any trouble.

The racers promised the two soldiers that if Gwen, Trent, Mike or Zoey wins the race, they will recover the medal and give it back to Heavy later. Sev and Scorch agrees to hold off on any further problems until then.

"So far, no sign of any trouble." Scorch said with a nod as he looks around.

"Are we going to we going to rely the fate of the medal on a glitch and her friends?" Sev ask Scorch skeptically.

"We have to. It's the only chance we got left, soldier."

Suddenly cars are heard revving a bit. The soldiers turns to see the other contestants arriving in the area, surrounding the players. By this time, Heavy and Hoagie arrives at the top, panting a bit. That is a big climb.

"Oh hey guys." Trent said uneasily as the racers got out of their carts, getting near them.

"What's up, fellow contestants?" Gwen ask the other contestants with a smile.

"There's that little crumbsnatcher." Heavy said, narrowing his eyes while scowling.

"It's the glitch and her pals!" DJ exclaims with a frown.

"DJ, come on! You aren't like these guys!" Zoey exclaims to DJ in concern. "Why are you hanging with them?"

"Hey, I'm upset like them that you are hanging out with someone who could ruin our game!"

"That isn't true...is it?"

"Hoo boy, it's like my personalities surrounding me all over again." Mike said in concern of the trouble that is being brought upon the four.

"Hey, Heather, Jo, Scott, you're looking well." Gwen remarks with a sly grin. "So did you guys came to check out the competition? Well, here it is: the Goth Split!"

As a wheel plopped to the ground. Heavy comments, "Looks like Goth girl built it herself."

"I think she did." Sev said in concern, then the soldier looks around. "Say, where's the alien?"

Stitch arrives on the scene, smiling as he said, "Sorry, Stitch managed to get us enter in the race while you guys and no one else was looking."

"Aww, you little sneak!" Hoagie exclaims, proud of what his partner has done. "How were you able to pull that off?"

"Simple. Remember the stuff we took out of the lost and found box? Well, Stitch threw in a golden ball into the trophy! Let's say ugly didn't like it."

Back at the trophy, Myx growls angrily as he saw the names "Hoagie and Stitch" on the billboard. Bad enough the glitch and her friends are now in the race, but now the Users too?!

"So why are the uglies ganging up on the glitch and her pals?" Stitch ask curiously, watching the scene below.

"And what is going on here, Sev, Scorch?" Hoagie ask the soldiers in concern.

"The glitch called Gwen and her friends promised to return the medal once the race is over if any of them win." Sev explains clearly to the ones out of the loop. "We are supposed to make sure no one interferes in fixing their carts."

"Well, looks like they need help down there!"

"I built it myself! The fastest vehicle west of the Whack-A-Mole. Check this out." Gwen chuckles as she hops into her cart and pedals before the gears spins a bit...and before a few pieces broke off.

"Maybe you should've used some of the frosting." Zoey said to her friend in concern.

"Oh, brother, Gwen. It's so...you." Heather remarks, shaking her head while giving out a smug chuckle.

"Well, I like it. Gwen, it's good." Trent said to Gwen, making her blush a bit.

"That's because you're a loser who like losers. I mean, where did you get the parts, from the junkyard? Ha! They wouldn't even let you into the factory to make that thing!"

"Hey, at least Gwen did her best." Mike said in concern, defending Gwen's vehicle.

"Look, glitch, you gotta back out of the race." Heather snaps to Gwen sternly.

"No way!" Gwen remarks with a frown, getting out of her kart as she approaches her enemy. "FYI, I paid my fee so I'm on the board. In other words, I'm definitely racing."

"That goes for the rest of us!" Zoey exclaims in agreement with Gwen.

"Yeah! Honestly? Why are you so mean to Gwen all the time?" Trent snaps with a deep frown to Heather. "I know on the reality show, you and her aren't the best of friends but come on! This is ridiculous!"

"Don't you mean "ridonculous"?" Heather taunts, making the rest of her group laughs at her group. Once they calm down, she sneers, "In case you've forgotten, she is a glitch, and so are the rest of you! They don't belong in this game and none of you deserve to exist!"

"Yikes. Reminds you of someone, Heavy?" Hoagie asks Heavy in concern.

"Ja, just like Carter, only this one is more annoying." Heavy said with a frown. "You two? Get down there, now."

"Look, can't we all just get along? We're all racers here, right?" Mike ask everyone, trying to calm everyone down.

"According to King Myx-head, glitches can't race at all." Heather remarks cruelly, pointing out what the king said.

"Hey, I am not a glitch, and neither are the others! And neither are the others. We just got Pixlexia, okay?" Gwen protests as she glitches all over. The girl yelps as she and her group are shoved aside by Heather who got into the cart.

"There're rules for a reason, Gwen, to keep people like us safe! Say I'm you, which I'm glad I'm not! I'm in my weird little car, driving. Feeling kinda cool for once. And then, all of the sudden...oh no! I'm gl-gl-gl-gl..." Heather taunts, shaking the cart and tears the wheel right off. "....glitching!"

"Hey!"

"See? You're nothing more than a glitch waiting to happen!"

Heather threw the wheel right at Gwen, making her yelp. Trent protests in shock and anger, "Hey, leave her alone!"

"And say I'm you and I g-g-g-g....glitching too!" Scott taunts as he rips off Mike's tire, much to his shock.

"Hey, leave my tire alone!" Mike protests in worry.

"Stop it!" Zoey exclaims in agreement.

"Oh no! I'm g-g-g-g....glitching too!" Scarlet exclaims madly as she rips off Zoey's horn, much to her horror.

"Uh oh, I'm glitching as well." Anne Maria remarks as she hits Trent's cover on purpose, much to his shock.

"I ain't touching the carts. They got diseases!" Dave exclaims in annoyance. He pauses, then laughs wickedly as he grabs a sledgehammer, "But glitches are better off dead! Smash them!"

The racers shout madly as they charge at the carts, destroying them like mad. The glitched ones looks shocked as they protest to the ones breaking the cars on purpose, "Hey, stop! Hey!"

"Not cool." Heavy said with a wince. He and the Freelance Police look shocked at what the racers are doing to Gwen's group's vehicles.

"Aww, see, even if those kids are glitches, or at least maybe Gwen, this is going too far." Hoagie remarks with a frown.

"Ih! Stitch doesn't tolerate this kinda bullying!" Stitch exclaims with a mad growl. "Time weega go down there and treat stupid heads a lesson!"

"Oh no, I glitched, I glitched, look out, I'm glitching!" The racers taunts as they ripped the carts piece by pieces.

"Stop, you're breaking my cart, no, please!" Gwen protests as she tries to jump in and put a stop to this. The girl yanks Heather away, with the former glitching like mad. "Come on! I just wanna race like you guys!"

"Tough luck, glitch, you'll never be a racer! You're just a glitch and always will be!" Heather exclaims cruelly as she then shoves Gwen right to the mud, much to the shock of her friends and those watching.

"NO!" Heavy exclaims in fury. He isn't going to watch any longer! The big man and his friends, who took their weapons out, rush out with Heavy yelling, "Leave girl alone!"

"None of you dare do anymore damage to that cart!" Sev said pulling out his blaster and pointing it at the over racers, naturally upon seeing DJ screams and quickly hides to avoid it if it was fired.

Heather rolls her eyes and said, "Relax DJ, you can't die in your own game even from those from other games so his threat is an empty one."

"Maybe so I ain't taking a chance it would hurt! Besides I didn't agree to come to go this far, I thought we were just going to talk to Gwen, not outright bully her and destroy her cart!" DJ said from his hiding spot.

"Seems at least one of these racers has morals at least." Scorch said to Sev who puts his blaster back.

"Yeah but I really want to actually hurt that Heather girl." Sev said nodding.

"Sev, you and I ae going to get along great." Gwen said.

Heavy comment, "Time to run, cowards! I am coming for you!"

The mad racers yelps in horror at the growling Heavy and his pals. They screamed and run off, dropping the parts and leaving Gwen's group and DJ behind. Max screams like a baby, "Run, run, run!!!"

As Gwen get out, the racers got into the carts and drove off quickly. Hoagie calls out, "Yeah! You all better run!"

"Ja; Scram, you rotten campers, before Heavy throws you in the mud!" Heavy exclaims sternly. Once the racers are gone, he turns to DJ still hiding, "Ja, you can come out now."

"Yeah, sorry about that." DJ apologizes sheepishly as he came out of hiding spot. "I thought we came here to talk Gwen and her friends out of the race. I didn't think she and her pals would take it this far."

"It’s okay, DJ. At least you came to your senses." Trent said in concern as Heavy kicks at the ground, growling. Everyone heard sniffing, turning to see Gwen doing the sniffing. "Gwen?"

Upon seeing the others, Gwen frowns as she goes back to her cart, scowling, "What are you looking at?"

"Hey, come on, Gwen! I didn't meant for this to go far!" DJ protests innocently to Gwen. "I just am worried for our game, that's all."

"Still, Heather and her pals wreck our carts." Mike sighs as he looks at his own cart, a big mess. "It will take weeks to make a new one without the factory."

"I'm amazed how you are able to make these." Scorch said, glancing at the carts in concern. "Now? They're gone within seconds."

"Well, you're welcome, rotten thief." Heavy said to Gwen with a scowl.

"Hey, I am not a thief." Gwen said in protest.

"Actually you are. You stole Heavy's medal." Hoagie said with a concerned look on his face. "You lost Heavy's medal and now we have to wait until the race's over to get it back."

"Hey, like I told your soldier buddies, I just borrowed that stupid coin. I was going to give it back to Heavy once I won that race."

"Not coin; it's medal." Heavy said with another frown to Gwen.

"Coin, medal, whatever." Gwen remarks, rolling her eyes as if not concerned for the mistake. "Just go back to your own dumb game and win another one."

"Sorry, I cannot. I didn't win it in my game. I won it in Warrior's Duty."

Hearing that made Gwen glitch, causing her to snicker, "Warrior's Doodie?! Ha ha ha!"

"Non! Not that kind of duty, gutter head!"

"Yeah, yeah. I really gotta watch where you step in a game called Warrior's Doodie! So what did you win a medal for? Wiping? Wow, hope you washed your hands after handling the medal! Ha ha ha ha!"

"Ha ha ha ha ha!" Mike exclaims with a laugh. "Yeah, I get it!"

"Yeah! Doodie! Ha ha ha!" Hoagie exclaims with a laugh, enjoying that joke as well.

"Hey, listen..." Heavy said, trying to keep himself from losing his patience with Gwen.

"Oh wait, wait, one more! Hey DJ! Why did the warrior flush the toilet?" Gwen ask with a giggle. "Go ahead, say why."

"Uh, why?" DJ ask, trying to keep himself from laughing but is failing to do so.

"Because it was his doodie! Ha ha ha!"

"DOODY! HA HA HA HA!" Hoagie and Mike laughs like odd. Even Zoey is trying to keep herself from giggling but is laughing along with DJ.

"Oh ha ha ha! Doody! Stitch got it now!" Stitch exclaims with a laugh.

"Hey! How dare you insult the honor of Warrior's Duty, you little Gothic guttersnipe!" Heavy exclaims angrily to Gwen. "I earned that medal and you better get it back for me at once!"

"Well, he's right, you did swipe it from him, Gwen." Trent said to Gwen in concern.

"Well, unless big guy here got a go-kart hidden in the fat folds of his neck, I can't help him." Gwen remarks dryly, pointing out that she and her pals has no carts to even race in.

"WHAT?!" Heavy yells out in fury.

"Hoo boy. Better move." Sev said in concern as he and most of everyone back away with the angered Heavy preparing to go right at Gwen.

"Yikes! Gwen, you took it too far." Zoey said in worry. Heavy is going to hurt Gwen for insulting him like that.

"Better move!" Trent exclaims in alarm as he moves Gwen out of the way.

Heavy grunts as he angrily dashes over to some candy, punching it then hitting the jawbreaker. To his annoyance, it did not break, causing the villain to try to break it during his temper tantrum.

"Wow, what a dope. Hey, big guy! It's a jawbreaker! You aren't ever going to break..." Gwen was interrupted as, to everyone's shock, the jawbreaker broke in half. "....that?"

"Wow, that's new." Mike said, surprised yet impressed by this display.

"Heavy is one big wrecking giant with a huge gun." Stitch explains to the Total Drama players with a shrug. "Whatcha expect?"

Gwen glitched a bit then grins. She has an idea on how to help everyone involved.

"Huh." Gwen said thoughtfully. Heavy pants a bit then sit on the other jawbreaker to calm down. "Hey, did you enjoy your little tantrum, big diaper baby?"

"Leave Heavy Alone!" Heavy snaps as he turns away.

"You did kinda cause everything to go crazy when you "borrowed" the medal, Gwen." Hoagie points out to Gwen with a shrug.

"Hey, come on, I was going to give it back, like I said! Really!" Gwen exclaims in concern. She groans out, "Still, you aren't the only one having a bad day. Those jerks ruined our go-carts!"

"At least you got your health." DJ said to Gwen, patting her on the back. The others look at him oddly. "What? I'm trying to cheer folks up here!"

"Guys, listen, I don't know about you but we can't stand or sit around here and do nothing without carts." Trent said seriously. The gang got to do something to fix this mess.

"Right, we can't back out of the race now. Our names are on the board, we got to compete." Mike said in agreement with his friends.

"Yeah, and we need new go-karts and fast." Zoey said determination.

"They're right. Hey, big guy, you want that medal, right, and I want to race, right?" Gwen ask Heavy, pointing out some things. "So how about a deal? An alliance if you may. You help us get new karts, real ones, and that way all of us can be in the race. If they or I win it, you will get your medal back. Along with the golden object your friends tossed in."

"How youga know that?" Stitch ask Gwen in surprise.

"Oh, I got my way."

"You want Heavy to help you?" Heavy ask Gwen skeptically. The girl cost him his medal and now she wants to work with him to help get it back?

"You just got to break something for us. So come on, what do you say, pal?" Gwen ask as she shows her hand, expecting Heavy to shake it.

"No, we aren't pals or comrades!"

"Awww, come on, comrade! Son of a gun! Buddy, let's shake on it! Come on, chumbo, Heavy my man! My main man...as in pal, not like that. Listen, my arm is getting tired here, so we got a deal or not?"

"Listen, Gwen, Trent, Mike and Zoey needs a go-kart, I know the place to get the best ones at." DJ explains to Heavy with a sigh. "It's my way of making up for my involvement in this. Come on."

Heavy pauses a bit, then sighs in annoyance. What else does he have to lose? The big villain shakes hands with Gwen, grunting, "You better win."

"And better not crash in Stitch and me while we race too, deal?" Hoagie ask Gwen with a nod.

"It's a deal." Gwen said with a smile. Looks like the group are partners in this.

"Hey one thing I don't get. Why isn't Owen in this game, he's pretty much a fan favorite?" Hoagie asked concerned. "And also that Cameron kid as well."

"They're in this game, just not as racers, Owen can be seen in one of the race tracks set near Ice Cream Valley. As for Cameron, he more stays in the village, not really wanting to race out of fear of the damage it can cause him." Mike explained.

"From what I hear, that makes sense for their characters." Sev said.

Hiccup, Wander, Astrid, Sylvia and their group arrives at the site of the crashed escape pod. Boss glances as he spoke, "There it is."

Everyone checks trailer of the crash pod carefully. Pleakley remarks, "This has Stitch written all over it."

"Well, I will say this much, they don't call your friend "Wreck It" for nothing." Astrid said to Hiccup seriously about Heavy.

"There's the shuttle!" Sylvia exclaims as the group found the pod.

Once everyone landed nears the pod, everyone got off. Astrid, Sylvia and their troops took their guns out and goes near the pod before pointing inside. Wander calls out, "Are they in there?"

Astrid's group peeks inside carefully. The human girl grunts, "Nope. And luckily for them, otherwise I would've slapped their corpses. There isn't any sign of any Heartless here."

"Hoo baby, so we got three loose cannons and two soldiers lost in this place somewhere." Numbuh 5 said seriously. That means Heavy, Hoagie, Stitch, Sev and Scorch are around this game somewhere. "As well as one ugly Heartless."

"We better find it before it lays its filthy eggs." Sylvia said seriously. If that Heartless lays any eggs, this game will be crawling with more like it!

The group leaves the area, heading towards where, unknown to them, Heavy's group first met Gwen. Astrid frowns as she said while shaking her device, "It came this way, but with the sugar particles in this atmosphere, my sensor is jammed!"

“Sirs, I'll see if I can boost the signal of the radar." Fixer said to Astrid and Sylvia.

"See what you can do Fixer." Astrid said handing him the device.

During this time, Angelilo was using some sort of IPod to watch another clip from "My Little Heroines". It's one where Blossom is send to a crystal cave by the fake Snow White.

Blossom, appearing in some unknown caverns, sees Shirley and Ryan in chains, ask in surprise, "Where am I?"

Shirley explains as she tries to get out, "Like, you are in some caverns deep below Radiant Gardens. At least I think so, or some junk."

"Yeah. This Snow White is an impostor. Shirley and I found out, but got zapped here before we had a chance to tell you. I still haven't gotten out of these chains so we can find the REAL Snow White though." Ryan explains as Blossom uses her super-strength to free Shirley and Ryan.

"Snow White" laughs cruelly to the three on a magical image as she appears on it, "Good luck finding your way out."

Blossom angrily fires blast after blast of laser vision while demanding, "Show yourself, you cowardly impostor!" A laser vision blast hits a wall, destroying it and reveals the REAL Snow White in chains.

Snow White gasps in surprise upon recognizing the group, "Blossom? Ryan? Shirley?"

"How do we know you are the REAL Snow White? For all we know you could be the impostor who made yourself look like a prisoner just to fool us." Ryan said, glancing at Snow White in suspicion. He isn't going to make the same mistakes like Blossom's sisters and friends, along with Obi-Wan and Ferdinand has done.

"Come in closer, Ryan." The princess request. As Ryan does this, Snow White whispers something only he and the REAL Snow White would know.

"And, like, she is totally allowing me to read her mind. She IS the real Snow White." Shirley said. It's true. The loon was able to read her mind without any problem.

"And there is ONE MORE bit of proof here." Snow White then turns to Blossom as she did a familiar rhyme, "Sunshine, sunshine. Ladybugs awake."

Snow White/Blossom said as they did a familiar dance and song like they did many times before, "Clap your hands and do a little shake."

Blossom, as she uses her super-strength to break Snow White's chains, hugs Snow White before letting go, saying, "And your impostor brain-washed Ferdinand to prevent him from seeing through her disguise."

"Hey, instead of watching that, you should worry more about the Heartless." Sylvia said with a frown to Angelilo turns her IPod off.

"Sorry, just need to get my mind off my worries about Stitch." Angelilo said to Sylvia in concern, worrying about her love.

"And what's with that koala thing anyway?"

"Oh, 626, which is his experiment name, used to be evil, causing disaster and chaos wherever he goes. Makes evil genius proud." Jumbaa explains with a light chuckle. "Of course, one day, he landed on Earth, met little girl and became reformed...somewhat anyway."

"Now Stitch helps reformed cousins and helped his fat friend fight against crime." Pleakley said, feeling his forehead. "Give me a headache, to be honest."

"So about the Wreck It Heavy joker. Why did he go AWOL?" Astrid ask Hiccup and Wander with a frown, wanting information on Heavy, the same one who brought the Heartless here.

"Not sure, wish I knew." Hiccup remarks with a shrug. "He has been acting a bit weird, more so than usual, last night. I mean, going on about cake and medals. I still can't believe he would one day go Imp!"

"'Go Imp'?" Astrid, Sylvia and the soldiers from Warrior's Duty ask puzzled. They aren't familiar with that phrase.

"Oh yeah, that's right. You guys just got plugged in." Wander said, realizing that soldiers' game got plugged in. So it's understandable why they don't know what the phrase "Going Imp" means.

"Well, we aren't familiar with our surroundings yet, soldier, so we need some information on this "Going Imp" too." Fixer said, wanting to know the same thing too.

"Well, we should warn ya. The story we're going to tell ya is sad and not very happy."

"What else is new?" Numbuh 4 ask Wander dryly. "Just get to the cruddy story already!"

Hiccup sighs, rubbing his hair as he explains, "Well, all right. It all started back when the arcade itself first opened..."

Flashback

Back in the 1980s, the video games were starting out as is the arcade. Kids would go there, play video games and such. But many of them play a game called "Imp Time".

Hiccup is heard narrating, "During that time, Imp Time was the most popular game in the arcade."

We see an imp looking racer in white racing in some sort of race car, smiling as he exclaims, "IMP-TASTIC!"

Wander narrates, "It has an imp like heroic character named...well...Imp. He loved the attention."

The arcade game shows Imp standing on the first place spot of the podium. He laughs while blocking two other racers, much to their annoyance. For a hero, he's an arrogant jerk!

"IMP-TASTIC!" Imp calls out excitedly. No one would ever take the attention off of him! Or so he thought…

Hiccup continues the narration, "Right, but one day, all changed when a new Transformers game called "Go-Bots" got plugged in, it began to steal his thunder..."

Sure enough, Al plugged in the game "Go-Bots". This caught a boy's attention as he exclaims, "Wow, check that out!"

The other kids rushed over to the new game Go-Bots as they played it. Another boy laughs, "Yeah, new game! Sweet!"

Unknown to the kids however, Imp stops his car in his game and turns his head to see what's going on in the real world. And let me tell you folks: he is NOT happy.

"And boy, Imp was jealous than a candidate after losing a presidential race." Wander's voice narrates seriously. A small glowing light then leaves Imp's game, heading to the Go-Bots one. "In fact, he became so jealous, that Imp did the unthinkable and abandoned his game, trying to take over the new one!"

"Boy, these are the greatest graphics ever!" A boy exclaims as the game is played. For a moment, nothing seems to be going wrong...

That is until Imp pops up on the screen, calling out, "IMP-TASTIC!" This startled the racer, Leader-1, into crashing into a tree. It moves around again but Imp kept on trying to get attention here!

"Wait, that looks like Imp." The other boy said in surprise and confusion.

"IMP-TASTIC!"

"What is he doing in this game?" The first boy ask in confusion as he looks back at Imp Time in confusion. Imp isn't supposed to be in Go-Bots!

"IMP-TASTIC!" Imp exclaims madly. He soon crashes the game, causing the screen to glitch like mad.

"Aww, give me a break!"

"Mr. Bundy!" Another boy calls over to Al who came over to see what's going on.

"What? I'm already starting my new job kid!" Al demands in irritation. "What's going on here?'

As the kids explained what's going on, Al put an Out of Order sign on both Go-Bots and Imp Time then both games got unplugged, wheeling them out of the building.

Hiccup continues the narration, "And as a result of that, Imp ended up putting both games and himself out of order...for good!"

Wander's voice adds, "Good news is that Go-Bots got a quick replacement...but there hasn't been a word about another Imp Time game...not ever again."

End Flashback

The game players of Warrior's Tale and the Users looks stunned. They can't believe one video game character's selfish actions would lead to two games being put out of order.

"Geez, that Imp guy is one stupid jerk!" Angelilo exclaims angrily.

"Tell me about it." Astrid said as the group arrives at a purple-yellow striped candy tree, beginning to climb around it. "He is like a mangy dog chasing a cautionary tale."

"I know, that is how the phrase "Going Imp" was made." Wander said in concern. "It's to keep other game characters from game-jumping, even the local baddies know better than to mess with their programs."

"Which is why Wander and I got to get Heavy home before the same thing happen to our game!" Hiccup exclaims seriously. If Heavy isn't brought back to his game, it will be the end of the game world of Fix It Hiccup and Wander!

"So what happened to this Imp guy anyway?" Numbuh 3 ask Hiccup curiously. "Was he punished for what he did?"

"Yeah, that's the thing. No one knows. After all that, Imp disappeared and no one ever saw him again. We all presumed he was killed when both games got unplugged or he was killed outside his own game."

"Which explains why it's a big rule for video game characters to be careful outside their own games." Wander said in agreement, explaining how the big rule to be careful not to get killed outside one's own game or the same thing would happen like with Imp!

"Geez, if I saw that creep, I would punch his face in!" Numbuh 5 exclaims angrily. She is upset at what Imp did just because some other game stole his thunder.

"Right now, we need to focus on the mission at hand here." Boss said in concern. Suddenly everyone saw the branch that they're on beginning to glow. "What the...?"

Unfortunately, the branch the group is on is a double-striped...and it vanished, causing them to fall, screaming into a dark cavern area below!
