Moments later, they reached the gate to Emerald Canterlot, and Apple Bloom rang the bell near the door. A small door opened, and a little dragon named Spike poked his head out, and said "Who rang that bell?" "We did!" Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy said at the same time. "Can't you read?" Spike asked. "Read what?" Pinkie Pie asked. "The notice!" Spike said. "What notice?" Apple Bloom and Pinkie Pie asked at the same time. "It's on the door!" Spike said. "As plain as the nose on my face! It-!" He stopped talking when he saw that the notice was not on the door. He hung the notice on the door, and closed the small door. Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy looked at the notice as they said "Bell out of order. Please knock." Apple Bloom knocked on the door with all her might, and Spike opened the door as he said "Well, that's more like it. Now, state your buisness." "We want to see the Unicorn." Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy said at the same time. "Ooooh! The Unicorn!" Spike said. But, nopony can see the great Unicorn! Nopony's ever seen the great Unicorn! Even I've never seen her!" "Well, then, how do you know there is one?" Apple Bloom asked. "Because she...I...Oh, you're wasting my time!" Spike said as he prepared to close the door.

Apple Bloom stopped him, and said "Oh, please! Please sir. Ah've got to see the Unicorn! Princess Celestia the Good Alicorn of the North sent me!" "Prove it!" Spike said. "She's wearing the ruby slippers she gave her!" Pinkie Pie said. Apple Bloom showed Spike the ruby slippers, and he said "Oh, so she is! Well, bust my buttons! Why didn't you say that in the first place? Come on in!" He then closed the door, and the gates opened. Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy went inside to see the ponies going about their buisness. A taxi carriage driver named Twilight Sparkle went up to them, and said "Hello. I'm Twilight Sparkle. And I'm here to take you to any place in Emerald Canterlot." "Well, would you take us to see the unicorn?" Apple Bloom asked. "The unicorn? The unicorn?" Twilight Sparkle asked. "I...can't...well...yes, of course. But first, I'll take you to a little place where you can tidy up a bit." Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy got in the taxi carriage as Apple Bloom said "Oh, thank you so much. We've been gone such a long time, and we feel so messy." "You're welcome." Twilight Sparkle said as she began pulling the taxi carriage.

They arrived at a parlor, and Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy went inside. The ponies inside began tiding them up. Some ponies stuffed more straw into Pinkie Pie, some ponies polished Rarity's metalic body, some ponies brushed Apple Bloom's mane, and cleaned her up, and some ponies trimmed Fluttershy's mane. Once they were done, Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy left the parlor with smiles on their faces. But then, everypony began screaming in terror when they saw something in the sky. They looked up to see Queen Chrysalis flying in the air as one of the ponies said "It's her!" "Who's her?" Fluttershy asked. "Who's her?" "It's Queen Chrysalis!" Apple Bloom said in terror. "She's followed us here!" "Can't that rude changeling take no for an answer?!" Rarity asked in dismay. "Oh." Apple Bloom said as Queen Chrysalis used her magic to write a message in the sky. "Surrender Apple Bloom or die." Fluttershy said as she read the message. "Apple Bloom? Who's Apple Bloom?" An earth pony named Spoiled Rich asked. "The Unicorn will explain it!" A pegasai pony named Lucy Packard said. "To the Unicorn." Another pegasai named Open Skies said. As everypony began to run for the emerald castle, one of the ponies said "To the Unicorn!" "Dear, whatever shall we do?!" Apple Bloom asked. "Well, we'd better hurry if we're going to see the Unicorn!" Pinkie Pie said as she, and her friends began running to the emerald castle.
