It was a dark night in the land of Equestria, and waiting at the entrence to the Everfree Forest was a pony with a dark hood over her head. Then a little orange filly with a moderate cerise mane, grayish purple eyes, and no cutie mark, named Scootaloo approached the pony who lifted her hood and revealed her face. "You are late." Princess Luna said in a stern tone. "A thousand apologies, O patient one." Scootaloo said. "You have it, then?" Princess Luna asked. "I had to slit a few throats, but I got it." Scootaloo said as she took out half of a purple sphere from her small bag. When Princess Luna reached for it, Scootaloo yanked it back, and said "Ah ah ah! The treasure!" Then, a red bolt shot at Scootaloo who jumped back and dropped the half of the sphere.

A young mare with a pale cornflower blue mane, dark grayish violet eyes that glow red occasionally because of her alicorn amulet that she wears on her gray cape with a hood on it, and a magic wand for her cutie mark named Trixie who is Princess Luna's apperentice picked up half of the sphere with her magic and gave it to Princess Luna. "Trust me, my little filly." Princess Luna said as she took out the second half of the sphere from her bag. "You'll get what's coming to you." "The great and powerful Trixie agrees." Trixie said. Princess Luna then connected the halfs of the sphere and it became one sphere. It then started glowing blue and it spun around a couple of times before it took off into the Everfree Forest.

"Quickly! Follow the trail!" Princess Luna shouted as she, Trixie, and Scootaloo ran into the forest to follow the sphere. They ran & ran, and even ran across a bridge until the sphere went underground, and the ground shook, rose up, and took on the form of a dog-like creature named Ahuizotl who has his mouth open that serves as an entrance to the cave. "At last, after all my years of searching, the Cave of Wonders!" Princess Luna said grinning. "Oh, wow." Trixie said in amazement. "By Celestia." Scootaloo said in the same amount of amazement as Trixie. "Now remember, young filly." Princess Luna said to Scootaloo. "Bring me the statue. The rest of the treasure is yours, but the statue is mine." Scootaloo grins and walks to the entrance. "And be careful! Danger could be lurking behind every nook and cranny!" Trixie said before whispering to her mistress "Jeez, where'd you dig this foal up?" Princess Luna shushed her as if she was telling her to be quiet.

Scootaloo reached the cave, but once she stepped onto the mouth, she was blown away by Ahuizotl who asked in a deep rough voice "Who disturbs my slumber?" "I-I-I-It is I, Scootaloo, a humble theif." Scootaloo said trembling in fear. "Know this. Only one may enter here." Ahuizotl said. "One whose worth lies within. A diamond in the rough." Scootaloo questionly turned to Princess Luna who said "What are you waiting for? Go on!" Scootaloo hesitated, taking one step at a time. With great apprehension, she planted her hoof down on the step inside the cave, and closed her eyes. When she opened them, nothing happened. She sighed in relieve but then Ahuizotl roared. Scootaloo screamed and tried to escape but the entrance to the cave collapsed on her. "NOOOOOOOO!" Princess Luna yelled as she shielded her eyes and Trixie was blown over from the wind. "Seek thee out, the diamond in the rough." Ahuizotl said as the sphere rose from the ground, splitted in two, and fell to the floor.

Trixie coughed a couple of times before she shook the dust off of her, and stood up. "I can't believe it." Trixie said in anger as she picked up the two halves of the sphere with her magic. "I just don't believe it! We're never gonna get a hold of that stupid statue! Just forget it! Look at this. Look at this. I'm so ticked off that I'm shedding!" And she was shedding some hair from her mane before it stopped, and she gave Princess Luna the two halves of the sphere. "Patience, my apprentice, patience!" Princess Luna said as she placed the halves of the sphere in her bag. "Scootaloo was obviously less than worthy." "Oh, there's a big surprise!" Trixie said extremely sarcastically. "That's an incred-I think the great and powerful Trixie is gonna have a heart attack and die from that surprise!"

Princess Luna simply rolled her eyes as Trixie said "What're we gonna do?! We got a big problem here, a big prob-!" Trixie could not finish her sentence because Princess Luna used her magic to pinch her lips shut. "Yes, indeed we do." Princess Luna said. "Only one may enter. I must find this one, this...diamond in the rough."

-The next morning in Ponyville-

Running across the rooftops was a stallion with a pale, light grayish olive mane, moderate sap green eyes, light freckles on the cheeks, and three red apples for his cutie mark named Applejack, but everypony else just calls him AJ for short. In his brown bag was a loaf of bread that he stole from a bread stand. Behind him was four guards. Three of them were white coated pegasai ponies with blue manes, yellow eyes, and royal shields for cutie marks. Their leader was a minotaur named Iron Will. "Stop thief!" Iron Will shouted as AJ stopped at the edge of the building he was running on. "I'll have your hooves for a trophy, street-pony!" AJ looked at the bread in his bag and said "All this for a loaf of bread?" He shrugged and said "Ah, well." before he jumped off the edge.

He landed on two ropes strung between buildings, with drying clothes on them. He skied down on them, collecting bits and pieces of clothing on him as he went down. Finally, he was nearing the end of rope, and at a window, a mare screamed, reached out, and slammed the shutters shut. As the shutters were closed, AJ slammed into the shutters and fell into the street. His fall was broken by numerous awnings and the pile of clothes around him. He pulled the layers of clothes off of him, and caught the loaf of bread before it landed on the ground. Just as AJ was about to enjoy his bread, one of the pegasai pony guard said "There he is!" "You won't get away so easy!" the second pegasai pony guard shouted. "Ya'll think that was easy?" AJ asked. Just then three mares laughed at AJ, and he just shrugged with embarassment. He then heard Iron Will talking to his pegasai pony guards. "You two, over that way." Iron Will said to two of the pegasai pony guards before saying to the pegasai pony guard next to him "And you, follow me! We'll find him!" AJ quickly grabbed a yellow sheet, and wrapped himself up in it as a disguise before he went up to mares that were laughing at him earlier. "Morning, mares!" AJ greeted.

"Getting into trouble a little early today, aren't we AJ?" An earth pony with a pale, light grayish rose mane with light ceriseish gray streaks, grayish harlequin eyes, and three smiling flowers for her cutie mark named Cheerliee said. "Trouble?" AJ asked before he laughed a bit. "No way! You're only in trouble if ya'll get caught. Just as he said that, he was grabbed from behind by Iron Will. "Gotcha!" Iron Will said as the disguise that AJ was wearing earlier fell off. "Ah'm in trouble!" AJ said as he gulped. Iron Will smirked and said "And this time-!" But before he could say anything else, a barrel landed on his head, and standing on the barrel was a dragon with purple scales, and green spikes named Spike.

AJ tipped his hat and said "Perfect timing, Spike! As usual." "Hello, AJ!" Spike said as he jumped onto his friend's back. "Come on. let's get out of here!" AJ said as he started to run with the guards hot on his tail. AJ and Spike ran for a while and when they were surronded by the guards, AJ grabbed a carpet, and he and Spike jumped out the window. The guards followed him out the window, but they fell straight down and landed in a pile of manuere. AJ used the carpet as a parachute to land safely and out of danger." AJ and Spike high-fived each other, and AJ tore the bread in two and gave the half to his dragon friend, and said "And now esteemed effendi, we feast! All right!" But before AJ took a bite, he saw a colt named Pipsqueak, and a filly named Sweetie Belle looking through the garbage for food.

AJ felt pity for them before he looked at Spike who just glared and took a bite of his bread. AJ sighed and walked over to Pipsqueak and Sweetie Belle, and gives them the bread. "Here, go on, take it." Sweetie Belle took the bread, and giggled when AJ ruffled her mane with his hoof. As AJ walked away, Spike suddenly felt bad, and he then walked over to Pipsqueak. "Uh..here you go." Spike said as he gave the colt his bread. Sweetie Belle looked at Spike and started to tickle him. "Ah, don't." Spike said before he started to laugh when Sweetie Belle started to tickle him even further. Then Spike heard a noise. He followed AJ and jumped on his back. AJ peered over the shoulders of the other ponies to see a unicorn with a light amber mane, light brilliant arctic blue eyes, a white prince's outfit, and a rose compass for his cutie mark named Prince Blueblood who was riding on a blue horse-drawn carriage pulled by a servant pony.

"On his way to the castle in Canterlot, I suppose." a bystander pony said. "Another suitor for the princess." another bystander pony said. Just then, Pipsqeak and Sweetie Belle ran out in front of Prince Blueblood's carriage causing it to stop. The prince growled. held out his whip with his magic, and shouted "Out of my way you filthy brats!" Prince Blueblood unleashed his whip to attack the filly and the colt, but AJ jumped out in front of them, caught the whip, and said "HEY! If Ah were as rich as ya'll, Ah could afford some manners!" before he tossed the whip in the rude prince's face. "Oh, I'll teach YOU some manners!" Prince Blueblood said as he kicked AJ and Spike into the mud puddle, and the crowd laughed at them. "Yuck!" Spike said as he wiped the mud off of himself. AJ stood up, and said "Look at that, Spike! It's not everyday you see a pony with two rear ends!"

The carriage stopped as Prince Blueblood turned back to AJ, and said "You are a worthless street-pony. You were born a street-pony, you'll die a street-pony, and only your fleas will mourn you!" Those words made AJ very mad. He rushed at Prince Blueblood, but the doors to Canterlot slammed shut in his face. He rubbed on his snout to sooth the pain, glared up at the door, and said "Ah ain't worthless! And Ah don't have fleas!" As AJ scratched his head, to find that he does have fleas, Spike went up to him and said "Forget it, AJ. He's not worth it." AJ sighed, and said "Come on, Spike. Let's go home." Spike jumped on AJ's back, as they headed home. As AJ walked, he couldn't help, but feel sad. He was so sick and tired of being treated like a street-pony when he knows he could be so much more. It was bad enough that he was treated as a blank flank when he was a young colt before he finally got his cutie mark.

When they arrived at an old abandoned farm on the edge of Ponyville, they went upstairs, and Spike laid in his bed as he fell asleep and AJ tucked him in. AJ looked out the window which showed the view of Canterlot, and said "Someday, Spike, things are gonna change. We'll be rich, live in a castle, and never have any problems at all."

-The next morning-

In the castle in Canterlot, Prince Blueblood was storming off in anger because he got bit in the butt, and had the hole in his suit ripped off of him. "I've never been so insulted!" Prince Blueblood snapped in anger. A unicorn with a moderate sapphire blue mane with moderate cerulean and dark phthalo streaks in it, moderate cerluean eyes, and a dark blue shield with a brillant rose star on it, and three light blue stars above it for his cutie mark named Shining Armor who is the ruler of Equestria looked at Prince Blueblood and said "Oh, Prince Blueblood. You're not leaving so soon, are you?" "Good luck marrying her off!" Prince Blueblood yelled out before he stormed out. Shining Armor groaned and muttered "Oh, Applejack!" As he went into the garden, he yelled out "Applejack! Applejack!" He then spotted Applejack who is the female counterpart of AJ, wearing the same brown hat as he does near the fountain. "Applejack." Shining Armor said as he walked up to her, but he was stopped by a pegasai pony with a pale, light grayish rose mane, moderate cyan eyes, and three pink butterflies for her cutie mark named Fluttershy who is Applejack's friend who yelled to Shining Armor "Go away!"

Shining Armor backed away, but when he spotted a ripped article of clothing in Fluttershy's hoof, he said "Confound it, Fluttershy!" He grabbed the piece of clothing, and had a tug-o-war with Fluttershy. He pulled and got his piece while Fluttershy still had her piece. "So, this is why Prince Blueblood stormed out!" Shining Armor said. "Oh, Pa." Applejack said with a smile. "Fluttershy was just playing with him, weren't ya'll Fluttershy? Ya'll were just playing with that overdressed, self-absorbed Prince Blueblood, weren't ya'll?" "Yes I was." Fluttershy said as she hugged Applejack with her wing, and laughed with her until Shining Armor glared at them. Applejack then cleared her throat as her father said "Dearest, you've got to stop rejecting every suitor that comes to call. The law says you..." Applejack said with him "Must be married to a prince." "By your next birthday." Shining Armor said finishing the sentence. They walked up to the cage where they kept the doves, as Applejack sighed and said "The law is wrong."

"You've got three more days!" Shining Armor said as she opened the dove cage and one of the doves landed on Applejack's shoulder. "Pa, Ah hate being forced into this!" Applejack said. "If Ah do marry, Ah want it to be for love." Shining Armor sighed and said "Applejack, it's not only this law. I'm not going to be around forever, and I just want to make sure you're taken care of. Provided for." Shining Armor then placed the dove back in the cage as Applejack walked to the fountain, sat on the edge, and said "Please, try to understand. Ah've never done a thing on mah own." She petted the fish and said "Ah've never had any real friends." Fluttershy looked up at Applejack and shouted "HEY!" "Except ya'll, Fluttershy." Applejack said trying to calm her friend. Fluttershy smiled and said "That's better." As she went back to sleep, Applejack said "Ah've never been outside the castle walls." "But Applejack, you're a princess!" Shining Armor said.

"Then maybe Ah DON'T wanna be a princess anymore!" Applejack yelled as she splash the fountain water, and turned away in frustration. Shining Armor growled in frustration as he started to leave and said "Oooohhh! Celestia forbid you should have any daughters!" As he left, Fluttershy became confused. Applejack sighed in anger and looked at the dove cage, She then yanked the cage door open and all the doves flew out as she watch them go. Inside the castle, Shining Armor looked at the model version of Equestria and said "I don't know where she gets it from. Her mother wasn't nearly so picky." A shadow then fell over Shining Armor, startling him, but he sighed in relief as he saw Princess Luna with her apprentice Trixie by her side. "Ah, Princess Luna, my most trusted advisor." Shining Armor said with a smile. "I am in desperate need of your wisdom."

"My life is but to serve you, my lord." Princess Luna said as she and Trixie bowed to the ruler. "It's this suitor business." Shining Armor said. "Applejack refuses to choose a husband. I'm at my wit's end!" "At wit's end indeed." Trixie said. "Have a cracker on me." Shining Armor said smiled as he stuffed a cracker on her mouth, much to her dismay. Princess Luna laughed as her apperentice spitted the cracker out and said "Your majesty certainly has a way with dumb ponies." Trixie glared at her mistress in anger at the comment. Princess Luna then cleared her throat and said "Now then. Perhaps I can divine a solution to this thorny problem." "If anypony can help, it's you." Shining Armor said. "But, it would require the use of the mystic blue diamond." Shining Armor then took off the blue diamond ring on his horn, held it with his magic and said "Uh, my ring? But it's been in the family for years." "It is necessary to find the princess a suitor." Princess Luna said as her green amulet began to flare with power."

Shining Armor became mezmerized by the amulet as Princess Luna said "Don't worry. Everything will be fine." "Everything will be fine." Shining Armor said in a slow tone. "The diamond." Princess Luna said in a gentle tone. As Shining Armor unknowingly gave his advisor the ring and said "Here, Princess Luna. Whatever you need will be fine." Princess Luna took the ring from Shining Armor and said "You are most gracious, my liege. Now run along and play with your little toys. Hmm?" Still hypnotized, Shining Armor smiled and said "Yes...that'll be...pretty good." As Princess Luna and Trixie left the room, Trixie spitted the remains of the cracker out of her mouth. "THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Trixie shouted in anger. "If I gotta choke down on one more of those moldy, disgusting crackers...bam! Whack!"

Princess Luna then pulled a lever that opened a secret passage way. As they entered, Princess Luna said "Calm yourself my apprentice." "Then I'd grab him around the head. Whack whack!" Trixie said ignoring her mistress. They walked up the stairs as Princess Luna said "Soon, I'll be ruler of Equestria, not that addlepated twit." She then opened the door to their chamber as Trixie said "And then The great and powerful Trixie stuffs the crackers down his throat! Ha Ha!" Then they entered as Princess Luna closed the door.

Outside, night eventually fell, and Applejack quietly snuck outside the castle and into the garden. When she went up to the wall, she felt her tail being pulled. She turned around to see Fluttershy pulling on the tail as she said "Applejack, where are you going?!" "Oh, Ah'm sorry, Fluttershy." Applejack said in a sad tone. "But Ah can't stay here and have mah life lived for me." She hugged her friend and said "Ah'll miss ya'll." "I'll miss you too." Fluttershy said sadly as she picked up Applejack, and flew her over the castle wall, and landed her near the gate to Canterlot. "Good-bye." Applejack said as she ran to Ponyville. "Good-bye." Fluttershy said as she flew back to the castle in Canterlot.

-The next morning-

At the Ponyville Marketplace, AJ and Spike were on top of an awning, getting a watermelon at the watermelon stand. "Ok, Spike. Go!" AJ said. "You got it!" Spike said as he climbed down. "Try this, your taste buds will dance and sing." An earth pony named Carmel said trying to sell watermelon as Spike took one of them. Carmel caught Spike red-handed, and said "Hey, get your claws off that!" Spike just made faces at the earth pony, making him angry. "Why, you!" Carmel said as he grabbed at the watermelon and pulled at Spike who pulled back while AJ grabbed another watermelon while Carmel wasn't looking. "Get away from here, you cursed filthy dragon!" Carmel said as he took the watermelon from Spike. He was about to put it back, but he discovered that another watermelon was missing. He turned to Spike in confusion, who just said "Good-bye!" Spike then climbed back up to AJ. "Nice going, Spike." AJ said as he split the watermelon in half, and gave one half to Spike. "Breakfast is served." They then began to eat their watermelon halves.

Meanwhile, Applejack who was wearing a cloak with a hood on it,was looking around through the Ponyville Marketplace, and looking at different stands. "Pretty mare, buy a pot!" An earth pony named Meadow Song said selling pots. "No finer pot in brass or silver!" Applejack shook her head no, and went to another stand where another earth pony named Lucky Clover was selling food. "Sugar dates, sugar dates and figs!" Lucky Clover said. "Sugar dates, and pistachios!" Applejack shook her head no again, and looked at another stand filled with jewelry, and an earth pony named Caesar was selling them. "Would the young mare like a necklace?" Caesar asked. "A pretty necklace for a pretty mare." Applejack once again shook her head no, bu she was startled when a fish came up in her face. "Fresh fish!" An earth pony named Bill Neigh said selling fish at the fish stand. "We catch'em, you buy'em!" Applejack backed up and said "Ah don't think so." She accidently bumbed into a fire-eated unicorn named Rare Find. "Oh, excuse me!" Applejack said.

Rare Find then gulped, and then belched out the fire much to the dismay of Applejack. Feeling better, he tapped his stomach. Hearing something going on, AJ turned from his watermelon, and looked over to see Rare Find and Applejack. He suddenly became more focused on the runaway princess. "I'm really very sorry." Applejack said putting her hood on her head. "Wow." AJ muttered smiling. "She looks just like me! Well not exactly like me, but if Ah were a mare, that's what Ah would look like! Her mane is longer, and she's a few inches shorter than me, but we have the same eyes, cutie mark, everything!" Spike noticed AJ acting weird, so he jumped on the lovestruck pony's back, and said "AJ? Hello? Hello?" He waved his claw in front of his friend, but AJ was too focused on Applejack who stopped at an apple stand where a little filly named Apple Bloom was looking at a bunch apples.

"Oh, ya'll must be hungry." Applejack said as Apple Bloom nodded. Applejack then took an apple, gave it to Apple Bloom, and said "Here ya'll go." As the filly ran off, and Applejack started to walk away, an earth pony named Dr. Caballeron who was selling the apples looked at the runaway princess, and said "You'd better be able to pay for that." Applejack turned to him in confusion, and said "Pay?" Dr. Caballeron grabbed her, and said "No pony steals from my cart!" "Oh, Ah'm sorry, sir." Applejack said trying to get away. "Ah don't have any money." "Thief!" Dr. Caballeron yelled as he pulled Applejack over to his cart. "Please, if ya'll let me go to the castle, Ah can get some from the ruler of Equestria!" Applejack said feeling scared. AJ who was watching the whole thing realized that Applejack was in danger, and he had to do something.

"Do you know what the penalty is for stealing?" Dr. Caballeron as he pinned Applejack's hoof he grabbed down on the table, and lifted a sword intending to chop it off. "No, no, please!" Applejack yelled as the sword started to drop, but before the sword touched her, AJ grabbed Dr. Caballeron's hoof, took the sword from him, and gave it to Applejack. "Oh, thank ya'll kind sir." AJ said shaking Dr. Caballeron's hoof. "Ah'm so glad ya'll found her!" AJ then turned to Applejack who quickly hid the sword behind her, and said "Ah've been looking all over for ya'll!" "What are ya'll doing?" Applejack whispered as AJ was pushing her a little. "Just play along." AJ whispered back. Dr. Caballeron placed a hoof on AJ's shoulder, and said "You uh, know this mare?" "Sadly yes." AJ answered. "She is my sister. She's a little crazy." Applejack scoffed, feeling offended.

Dr. Caballeron grabbed AJ and said "She said she knew the ruler of Equestria!" AJ chuckled and said "She thinks the dragon is the ruler of Equestria." Spike was picking a pocket, but when he heard somepony mentioning him, he immediately straightened up. Playing along, Applejack knelt down, bowed to Spike, and said "Oh, wise ruler of Equestria. How may Ah serve ya'll?" Spike smiled and said "Well, there is really no need to do anything for me." As Spike patted Applejack's head, AJ leaned forward, picked up an apple with his back-hoof, and said "Tragic, isn't it?" He then tossed the apple to Dr. Caballeron, and said "But, no harm done." He walked over to Applejack, picked her up as she stood on her hooves, and said "Now come along sis. Time to go to see the doctor." Pretending to be dumb, Applejack said to a bunny in front of her "Oh, hello doctor. How are ya'll?" "No, no, no. Not that one." AJ said moving Applejack away from the bunny. "Come on, 'ruler of Equestria.'" "I will take my leave!" Spike said bowing as the coins, jewels, and apples fell out of his bag. He yelled getting AJ, Applejack, and Dr. Caballeron's attention. "Huh? What is it?" Dr. Caballeron said as Spike took his stuff, and ran with AJ and Applejack. "Come back here you little thieves!" Dr. Caballeron yelled, but the trio just kept running.

In Princess Luna's chamber, Trixie was running on the gear in a bizarre contraption. At the top the contraption, a storm was brewing. "With all due respect, your nightmareship, couldn't we just wait for a real storm?" Trixie asked feeling out of breath while running. "Save your breath, my apprentice." Princess Luna said as she placed Shining Armor's ring in the contraption. "Faster!" "Yes, Oh mighty evil one." Trixie said as she ran faster on the gear, and a lightning bolt streaked through the ring, passing into an hourglass below. The sands in the hourglass began to swirl and began to shape into Ahuizotl. "Ah, part sands of time, reveal to me the one who could enter the cave." Princess Luna said. Then, the sand fell into a storm, but it revealed AJ walking down the path to the abandoned farm, with Applejack following. "Yes, yes!" Princess Luna said while smirking. "There he is! My diamond in the rough!" "THAT'S HIM?!" Trixie yelled out. "That's the pony we've been waiting for?!" She then lost all footing, and screamed when she got her tail caught in the gears, and got sucked in. "Let's have the guards extend him an invitation to the castle, shall we?" Princess Luna asked as Trixie went for a ride in the gears, and then flew past her mistress, slammed into a wall, and fell on the floor. As she stood up while shaking, Trixie said "Swell." She then fainted.

-Meanwhile in Ponyville-

"Almost there." AJ said leading Applejack down the path. The runaway princess then tripped, but AJ was quick enough to catch her. Applejack stood up, and she looked up at AJ. They stared at each other for a short time until they looked away while blushing. "A-Ah want to thank you for stopping that stallion." Applejack said while blushing. "Not many ponies would've done that." "Aw, forget it." AJ said as they walked through the entrance. "So, uh, this is your first time in Ponyville, huh?" He asked as he ran to an apple tree, and kicked it with his hind hooves causing the apples falling into the buckets below. "Is is that obvious?" Applejack asked. "Well, ya'll do kinda stand out." AJ said as he stared at her. As Applejack returned the look, he realized what he was doing, and looked down on his hooves in embarassment. "I mean, uh, you don't seem to know how dangerous Ponyville can be." AJ said looking up, but he became shocked when Applejack kicked an apple tree near her with her hind hooves causing the apples to fall into the buckets below. "Aw, Ah'm a fast learner." "Wow." Spike said in shock." "Right." AJ said as Spike took out two apples from the bucket.

"Come on, this way." AJ said leading Applejack to the farm while Spike following them. "Whoa. Watch ya'll head there." AJ as Applejack dodged a plank while they were going up the stairs. "Oh, be careful." AJ said as Applejack dodged another plank as they made it to the top floor. "Is this where ya'll live?" Applejack asked. "Yep." AJ said. "Just me and Spike. Come and go as we please." "That sounds fabulous." Applejack said. "Well, it's not much." AJ said as he pulled the curtain on the window back to reveal the castle in Canterlot. "But, it's got a great view." He looked at the castle and said "Wow, that castle looks pretty amazing, huh?" Applejack looked at the castle, and frowned. She turned away, and said "Oh, it's wonderful. "I wonder what it would be like to live there." AJ said as he stared at the castle. "And have servants and valets?" "Oh, sure." Applejack sarcastically. "Ponies who tell ya'll where to go and how to dress."

"Well, it's better than here." AJ said as he took the apple that Spike was about to enjoy away. "Ya'll are always scraping for food and ducking the guards." "Ya'll are not free to make your own choices." Applejack said. "Sometimes ya'll feel so..." AJ started to say. "Ya'll are just..." Applejack started to say. "Trapped." AJ and Applejack said at the same time. They looked at each other, and realized that they are perfect for each other. Then AJ realized where he was, broke the look and blushed. He cleared his throat, took another apple away from Spike, tossed it to Applejack, and said "So, where are ya'll from?" Applejack scoffed and said "What does it matter? Ah ran away, and Ah'm not going back." AJ took a bite of his apple, swallowed, gave it to Spike, and said "Really? How come?" "Why you-!" Spike muttered angerly, but calmed down and decided to sneak an apple from Applejack.

Applejack sighed and said "My Pa's forcing me to get married. "That-That's awful." AJ said. He then caught Spike trying to steal Applejack's apple, and shouted "Spike!" Spike then flinched, and backd off as he shouted in angry gibberish. "What?" Applejack asked. "Spike says uh..." AJ started to say, and thinks of what Spike said. "That's not fair." AJ said finishing his sentence. "What?" Spike said in confusion. "Oh did he?" Applejack asked. "Yeah, of course." AJ said. "And does Spike have anything else to say?" Applejack asked. "Well, uh...he wishes there was something he could do to help." AJ said. Spike facepalmed himself and said "Oh, boy!" As AJ and Applejack were getting closer and closer, Applejack said "Hmm, tell him that's very sweet."

Before they could share their first kiss, they were interrupted by Iron Will who said "Here you are!" "They're after me!" AJ and Applejack said at the same time. "They're after you?!" They asked each other at the same time. As Iron Will and the pony guards got closer, Applejack said "Oh, my Pa must have sent them-!" Applejack started to say, but was sidetracked when AJ said "Do you trust me?" "What?" Applejack asked. "Do you trust me?" AJ asked again. "Yes." Applejack said. "Then jump!" AJ said as he and Applejack jump through another window, fell, and landed in a pile of potatoes. They tried to get away, but they were blocked by Iron Will who grabbed AJ, and said "We just keep running into each other. don't we street-pony?" Spike then jumped on Iron Will, and placed a barrel on him, causing Iron Will to drop AJ. "Run! Go! Get out of here!" AJ said as he and Applejack tried to get away, but they were blocked by pony guards, so they went the other way.

Iron Will then pulled the barrel off of him, grabbed Spike, and threw him in a barrel near by. Iron Will then grabbed AJ, and tossed him to the pony guards behind him as he said "It's the dungeon for you, colt!" "Hey, get off of me!" AJ said trying to get away from the pony guards holding onto him." "Let him go!" Applejack said hitting Iron Will in the arm with her hoof. "Lookie here, ponies." Iron Will said shoving Applejack onto the ground. "A street-horse!" As AJ tried to get to her while struggling to get away from the pony guards, Applejack stood up, pulled the cloak off of her head, and said "Unhand him, by the order of the princess!" Iron Will and the guards gasped in shock. "Princess Applejack!" Iron Will said as he bowed while they bowed as they forced AJ to bow as well. "The princess?!" AJ said in shock as he looked up. Spike peeked out from the barrel he was thrown into, and said "The princess?!" "What are you doing outside the castle? And with this street-pony?" Iron Will asked.

"That's not your concern!" Applejack said. "Do as Ah command, and release him!" Iron Will chuckled a little and said "I would princess, except my orders come from Princess Luna. You'll have to take it up with her." As he and the pony guards dragged AJ out while bowing as they leave, Applejack glared at Iron Will coldly, and said "Believe me, Ah will."

Inside a room in the castle in Canterlot, Princess Luna was emerging from her secret chambers. She slid the door carefully, but then Applejack stormed in on her before she could finish. "Princess Luna?!" Applejack called out. "Oh, uh, Princess Applejack!" Princess Luna said as Trixie was entering the room. But Trixie got pinned in door frame when Princess Luna slamed the door shut. "Ack! Luna, I'm stuck!" Trixie called out in pain. "How may I be of service to you?" Princess Luna aske bowing down as Applejack approached the advisor with a very angry look on her face. "The guards just took a stallion from Ponyville on your orders!" Applejack shouted. Princess Luna merely scoffed and said "Your father's charged me with keeping peace in Equestria. The stallion was a criminal." "What was his crime?" Applejack asked. "I can't breath! Luna!" Trixie said in pain.

"Why, ponynapping the princess of course." Princess Luna said as she was about to kick Trixie back inside the secret chambers. "Luna, if you could just-!" Trixie tried to say, but she got kicked back inside the secret chambers. "WOW, that hurt!" Trixie yelled out. "He didn't ponynap me! Ah ran away!" Applejack exclaimed. As if shocked, Princess Luna took a few steps away from Applejack, and said "Oh, dear! Oh, why, how frightfully upsetting. Had I but known." "What did ya'll mean by that?" Applejack asked. Princess Luna looked at Applejack and said "Sadly, the stallion's sentence has already been carried out." "What sentence?" Applejack asked. "Death. By beheading." Princess Luna answered sinisterly. Applejack gasped. "No." She breathed out before collapsing onto the floor. "I am exceedingly sorry, princess." Princess Luna said. With tears in her eyes, Applejack turned to Princess Luna and said "How could you?!" She then ran out of the room crying. Once Applejack left, Trixie finally made it through the secret door, and went over to Princess Luna while feeling out of breath.

Once Trixie regained her breath, she said "So, how did it go?" "I think she took it rather well." Princess Luna said with a sinister smile on her face. Outside in the garden, Applejack was at the edge of the fountain crying her eyes out as Fluttershy walked over to her and nudged her gently. "Applejack? Are you ok?" Fluttershy asked gently. "It's all mah fault, Fluttershy." Applejack said sadly as she wiped the tears from her eyes. "Ah didn't even know his name!" Fluttershy hugged Applejack as she started crying again. Meanwhile in the Canterlot Dungeons, AJ struggled against the cuff chained to the ground, and holding one of his back hooves. He stopped struggling and said "She was the princess! Ah can't believe it. Ah must've sounded so stupid to her!" He then heard a voice that said "Yoo-hoo! AJ! Hello! Up here!" AJ looked up and smiled when he saw Spike, and said "Spike! Down here, ya'll!" Spike then went down and went up to AJ.

"Hey, come on. Help me out of this!" AJ said. "Well I certainly hope you learned your lesson about trying to help the princess." Spike said. "Hey, she was in trouble!" AJ said. "Ah, she was worth it." "Yeah, yeah, yeah." Spike said as he got out a small key from his small bag. "Don't worry, Spike." AJ said as Spike was using the key to sat his friend free. "Ah'll never see her again. Ah'm a street-pony, remember, and there's a law. She's gotta marry a prince. She deserves a prince." Spike finally freed AJ, and said "Ta-da!" AJ sighed and said "Ah'm a fool." "You're only a fool if you give up, young stallion." A voice said startling Spike. AJ turned to the voice to see a donkey named Cranky Doodle Donkey sitting there. "Who are ya'll?" AJ asked.

"A lowly prisoner like yourself." Cranky Doodle said. "But together, perhaps we can be more." "Ah'm listening." AJ said. "There is a cave, young stallion. A Cave of Wonders! Filled with treasures beyond your wildest dreams!" Cranky Doodle said showing AJ and Spike beautiful ruby gems." "Oooh!" Spike said as he and AJ stared at the ruby gems in awe. Cranky Doodle put the rubies back into his bag, took a few steps back and said "Treasure enough to impress even your princess, I'd wager." "Luna, can you hurry it up, I'm dying in here!" Trixie whispered out. Apparently, Cranky Doodle Donkey was actually Princess Luna and Trixie in disguise. Princess Luna hit her apprentice on the head before continuing the disguise. "But the law says that only a prince can-!" AJ tried to say, but he was interuppted by Cranky Doodle, who got in his face, and said "You've heard of the golden rule, haven't you?" Cranky Doodle backed up, and said "Whoever has the gold makes the rules." He then smiled showing him the gold tooth.

"So, why would ya'll share all of this treasure with me?" AJ asked. "I need a young stallion with strong legs, and a strong back to go in after it." Cranky Doodle said as he went over to the right. "Ah, there's one problem with that, ya'll." AJ said. "It's out there and we're in here." "Mmm, mmm, mmm. Things aren't always what they seem." Cranky Doodle said as he pushed open a hidden exit. "So, do we have a deal?" AJ looked at Spike as if to say "Should we trust this donkey?" "Uh, I don't know." Spike said.

Not wanting to stay in the Canterlot Dungeons, AJ and Spike decided to take their chances with the donkey they just met. Once Cranky Doodle Donkey, AJ, and Spike were out of the Canterlot Dungeons, they took off into the Everfree Forest. It was windy in the forest, but they made it through. Once they made it to their destination, Cranky Doodle Donkey took two halfs of a purple sphere, and connected them. It glowed blue, spun around a couple of times, and went underground. The ground shook, rose up, and Ahuizotl awoke, and said "Who disturbs my slumber?" AJ gulped and said "Uh, it is I, Applejack or AJ for short."Ahuizotl growled softly, and said "Proceed. Touch nothing but the statue." He opened his mouth with a roar, and a staircase appeared in front of AJ and Spike. "Remember, young stallion. First fetch me the statue, and then you shall have your reward!" Cranky Doodle said. "Come on, Spike." AJ said as he knelt down. Spike just gulped, and got on AJ's back. Then they entered the cave with no problems at all.

They descended down the long staircase, and reached the bottom as Spike ducked. When they entered a golden chamber, AJ stared in awe as he said "Whoa, nellie. Would ya'll look at that!" Spike looked up to see lots of gold, silver, and jewels, and he was astonished by it. AJ chuckled, and said "Just a boatload of this stuff would make me richer than the Prince of Canterlot!" Spike got so excited that he bolted for the treasure. "Spike!" AJ said as he stopped his dragon friend. "What?" Spike asked. "Don't. Touch. Anything!" AJ said. "We gotta find that statue." Spike just grumbled as he followed AJ. Above them, a pegasai pony with a rainbow colored mane, moderate cerise eyes, and a rainbow bolt with cloud at the end for her cutie mark named Rainbow Dash woke up from her nap on her cloud and looked down below her. "Hmmm. What are they doing here?" She quietly asked herself as she began to follow them. "Huh?" Spike said as he felt like he and his friend were being followed. Rainbow Dash quickly hid in her cloud as Spike turned around. He continued on, and Rainbow Dash began to follow again. But then Spike turned back, and Rainbow Dash quickly hid in her cloud.

Spike gulped, ran to AJ, and tugged on his tail. "AJ! AJ!" Spike said as AJ turned to his dragon friend, and said "Spike, will ya'll knock it off?!" Spike wanted to say more, but he just sighed and followed AJ. Again, Rainbow Dash followed, but when Spike turned, she flew to the other side. She pulled on Spike's tail, and he yelped as he landed in a karate stance. She took his bag, and placed it on her. Spike sat down and thought for a minute. He didn't see Rainbow Dash until she said "Hi!" They both screamed as Rainbow Dash hid, and Spike tackled AJ. "Spike!" AJ yelled out. "What are ya'll crazy?!" Spike turned AJ's head to look ahead as Rainbow Dash peeked out from behind a pile of treasure. "A pegasai pony." AJ said in awe. "Come on. Come on out. We're not gonna hurt ya'll." Rainbow Dash slowly came out, and grinned in embarrassment. "Uh...hi." Rainbow Dash said as she picked Spike's bag she dropped earlier, and dusted it off. She flew over to AJ, and gave it to Spike who yelled and hid behind AJ.

"Hey, take it easy, Spike." AJ said. "She's not gonna bite." "Here you go." Rainbow Dash said as she gave AJ the bag. "Thanks." AJ said as he gave the bag to Spike who took the bag, and said "Get out of here!" Rainbow Dash sadly looked down and turned to walk away. "Hey, wait a minute! Don't go!" AJ said as Rainbow Dash turned to look at him. "Maybe you can help us?" Rainbow Dash smiled, and said "Oh my gosh!" at least five times as she flew over to AJ, and gave him a big hug. "Hey, whoa!" AJ said as he got hugged by Rainbow Dash. "You see, we're trying to find this statue." Rainbow Dash thought for a minute, and she said "Oh! I know where that is! Follow me!" As Rainbow Dash started to fly, AJ looked at Spike, and said "Ah think she knows where it is!" "Well, let's follow!" Spike said as he jumped on AJ's back. As they followed the pegasai pony, AJ said "What's your name?" "The name's Rainbow Dash!" Rainbow Dash said. "Who are you, guys?!" "Ah'm Applejack, but everypony calls me AJ." "I'm Spike!" Spike said as they took off into the deeper part of the cave.

AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash went through a long cave, and after a while, they emerged in a giant cavern. In the center, there was a tall pillar with a staircase going up to it. It was surrounded by water with unevenly placed stones forming a bridge. At the top of the pillar, there was a beam of light. Rainbow Dash pointed at the pillar, and said "It's right up there!" AJ nodded, looked at Spike, and said "Wait here." As AJ began to cross the bridge, Spike said "Oh." He pouted, and looked behind him. "Huh?" He said as he was staring at a shrine with a golden dragon. The outstretched claws held a giant emerald, and Spike was hypnotically drawn to it. On the other side of the cavern, AJ reached the end of the bridge, and started climbing the stairs. Rainbow Dash was watching AJ, but she turned around to see Spike walking towards the giant emerald. She began to panic as AJ reached the top of the pillar. As Rainbow Dash tried to pull Spike away from the giant emerald, AJ began to examine the prize he was looking for. It was a statue of creature with a head of a pony, a deer antler on the right, a blue goat horn on the left, one long fang, a snake tounge, a goat beard, white bushy eyebrows, a right arm of a lion, a left claw of an eagle, a right leg of a lizard, a left leg of a goat, a bat's right wing, a pegasus' left wing, a horse's mane, and a dragon-like snake's tail with a white tail tuft.

"This is it?" AJ said looking at the statue questioningly. "This is what we came all the way down to-." He stopped when he saw Spike pulling away from Rainbow Dash to grab the giant emerald. When Rainbow Dash let Spike go, AJ said "SPIKE! NO!" But it was too late. Spike grabbed the giant emerald, and a booming voice which belonged to Ahuizotl said "INFIDELS!" Spike flinched, and said "Uh-oh!" As Rainbow Dash said "Oh My Gosh! Spike, what have you done?!", AJ gulped, and Ahuizotl said "YOU HAVE TOUCHED THE FORBIDDEN TREASURE!" The cavern began to shake as Spike gently placed the giant emerald back on the golden dragon shrine, but they both melted into lava. "NOW YOU WILL NEVER AGAIN SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY!!" Ahuizotl said as AJ grabbed the statue which shrunk just enough to fit into his back, before the light on the pillar turned into fire, and ran down the steps. Spike ran on the bridge, making Rainbow Dash spin like crazy. AJ raced down the stairs, but they flattened into a slide. He slid down until he flew into the air. He screamed while he was about to fall into the water that turned into lava, but Rainbow Dash was quick enough to catch him with her cloud. Spike tried to run on the bridge, but the rocks exploded on both sides, leaving him trapped on one of the rocks. "Help! Help! Help!" Spike called out as Rainbow Dash and AJ raced over, and the rocks behind and front of Spike exploded. Before the last rock that Spike was standing on exploded, AJ grabbed him, and said "Gotcha!"

They looked behind them to see a tidal wave of lava coming towards them as AJ said "Whoa! Rainbow Dash, let's move!" "You got it, AJ!" Rainbow Dash as she pushed her cloud towards the cavern exit. Together, they raced back through the caves, dodging walls, and falling debris. After they dodged a giant falling boulder, Spike grabbed AJ's head, and covered his eyes. "Spike! S-Spike, this is no time to panic!" AJ said as he pulled Spike off of him. He gasped when he saw that they were flying into a wall, and said "Start panicking!" "Hang on!" Rainbow Dash said as they went into a dive as AJ and Spike screamed. They entered the treasure room, and lava poured on to the gold, silver, and jewels causing them to go up in flames. The fire formed into hooves, and tried to catch AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash, but they escaped the flames. Outside the cave, Ahuizotl growled and roared in pain as the wind blew very hard against Cranky Doodle Donkey who was waiting for his prize. Inside the cave, the stairs crumbled away, and AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash tried to make it to the top, but a boulder crashed on Rainbow Dash's tail, knocking AJ and Spike off the cloud. Spike climbed out, but AJ wasn't so lucky because he was hanging on a step, and Rainbow Dash landed on the ground with a boulder crushing her tail.

AJ tried to climb up, but he slipped, and almost fell. "Help me out!" AJ called out. "Throw me the statue!" Cranky Doodle said. "Ah can't hold on!" AJ said. "Give me your hoof!" "First give me the statue!" Cranky Doodle said. AJ reached into his bag, and took out the statue. He reached out, and gave it to Cranky Doodle Donkey who laughed, and said "YES! AT LAST!" He laughed, and placed the statue in his bag. Spike tried to pull AJ up, but Cranky Doodle Donkey kicked him aside, and grabbed AJ's hoof. "What are ya'll doing?!" AJ asked as he struggled against Cranky Doodle Donkey. "Giving you your reward!" Cranky Doodle said in a crazy tone. He pulled out a crooked dagger, and in Princess Luna's voice said "Your ETERNAL REWARD!" Before he had a chance to stab AJ, Spike stopped him, and bit him in the hoof. Cranky Doodle Donkey screamed, and dropped AJ. He glared at Spike, and threw him into the cave. They screamed as they fell, but then Rainbow Dash quickly pulled her tail out of the giant boulder, and caught them with her cloud. Some rocks fell on them, and knocked them out. Ahuizotl roared, and the entrance to the cave collapsed. the sphere rose from the ground, splitted in two, and fell to the floor.

Princess Luna chuckled cruelly, took off her disguise, and said "It's mine! It's ALL MINE!" She reached into her bag for the statue, but to her confusion it wasn't in her bag. "Where is it?! No!" Princess Luna asked. She then dropped to her knees, and said "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Meanwhile in the castle in Canterlot, Shining Armor was standing in the doorway to Applejack's room. "Applejack?" Shining Armor called out. Applejack was sitting on her bed with Fluttershy sitting next to her. "Dearest? What's wrong?" Shining Armor asked. Applejack sniffled, looked at her father, and said "Princess Luna...has...done something...terrible!" "There, there, there, my dear." Shining Armor said. "We'll set it right." Shining Armor sat on the bed with Applejack and Fluttershy, and said "Now, tell me everything." Applejack took a deep breath, and proceeded to tell her father everything that happened in Ponyville.

Inside the Cave of Wonders, AJ lied unconscious on Rainbow Dash's cloud, and Spike started to shake him as he said "Oh, oh. AJ? Wake up! AJ!" Then AJ slowly woke up, sat up, and rubbed his head in pain as he said "Oh, mah head." He looked up to see the entrance which was sealed in. "We're trapped." He said as he started to get angry. "That two-faced, son-of-a-mule!" Spike and Rainbow Dash growled at the sealed entrance. AJ then calmed down, and said "Whoever he was, he's long gone with that statue." "Oh yeah?" Spike asked as he smiled. "Then what do you call this?!" He took out the statue he got from Princess Luna, and placed it on the floor as it returned to its normal size. AJ laughed, and said "Why you scaly little thief!" He rubbed Spike's head, and Rainbow Dash gave him a big hug, and said "Way to go Spike!" AJ looked at the statue, and said "It looks like such a beat-up, worthless piece of junk." He spotted a writing on the statue, and said "Hey, Ah think there's something written here, but it's hard to make out." He rubbed the statue to try and figure out what it says, but the statue suddenly started to shake, and glow. "Whoa, nellie!" AJ yelled out as he dove for cover. "Whoa!" Spike said as he stumbled back in shock. "Take cover!" Rainbow Dash said as she grabbed Spike, and hid behind a medium rock.

Suddenly, the statue broke, and came to life as he said "Aaaaahhhhh! OY!" AJ looked up in shock, and muttered "What in tarnation just happened?!" The creature named Discord opened his yellowish red eyes, looked at AJ, and said "Ten thousand years will give ya such a crick in the neck!" He hung the stunned AJ on a nearby rock, and said "Hang on a second!" He pulled his head off, and spun it as he yelled, and said "Whoa! Does it feel good to be outta there!" Rainbow Dash pulled AJ down as Discord used his tail as a microphone, and said "Nice to be back, mares and gentlecolts! Hi, where ya from? What's your name?" "Uh, Applejack." AJ said. "But everypony calls me AJ." "AJ!" Discord said as a neon sign appeared out of nowhere, and started flash AJ's name. "Hello, AJ. Nice to have you on the show. Can we call you A? Or maybe just J? Or how about laddie! Sounds like 'Here, boy!' Come here, boy'!" He turned into a dog and started to bark. AJ shook his head, and said "Ah must've hit mah head harder than Ah thought." "Do you smoke?" Discord asked. "Mind if I do?" He poofed into smoke, and turns back to his normal form, startling Spike. "Oh, sorry dragon." Discord said. "Hope I didn't singe the scales." He looked at Rainbow Dash, and said "Hey, Rainbow Dash! Haven't seen you in a few millennia! Give me some hoof!" "Hey, Discord!" Rainbow Dash said as she gave Discord some hoof.

Discord then looked at AJ, and said "Say, you're a lot smaller than my last master." He lifted his beer-gut, and said "Either that, or I'm getting bigger. Look at me from the side. Do I look different to you?" "Wait a minute, ya'll." AJ said. "Ah'm your master?" Discord slapped a diploma in his hoof, and a mortarboard on his head as he said "That's right! He can be taught! What would you wish of me?" He turned into Arnold Schwarzenegger, and said "The ever impressive,-." He pretended to be trapped in a cube, and said "The long contained,-." He turned into a ventriloquist with a dummy look-a-like, and said "Often imitated." He tossed the dummy aside, and said "But never duplicated-." Duplicates of Discord appeared out of nowhere, and said "Duplicated, Duplicated, Duplicated, Duplicated, Duplicated, Duplicated, Duplicated, Duplicated, Duplicated." Like a ring announcer at a boxing match, Discord said "Discord! The Spirit Of Chaos!" As the duplicates cheered, he turned into Ed Sullivan, and said "Right here direct from the statue, right here for your wish fulfillment. Thank youuuuu!" "Whoa! Back up, ya'll." AJ said as he stood up. "Wish fulfillment?" Discord nodded, and said "Three wishes to be exact." And ix-nay on the wishing for more wishes." He turned into a slot machine, and said "That's it!" The arm pulled down, and three Discords appeared in the windows, and said "Three." They came out of the slot, wearing sombreros, and said "Uno, dos, tres."

Discord turned into Groucho Marx, and said "No substitutions, exchanges, or refunds." The duck suddenly dropped down with the secret word refunds written on a piece of paper. AJ chuckled, and looked at Spike as he said "Now Ah know Ah'm dreaming." Discord turned back to normal, looked at AJ, and said "Master, I don't think you quite realize what you've got here! So why don't you just ruminate, while I illuminate the possibilities." After he made AJ sit down, he showed him, Spike, and Rainbow Dash all kinds of tricks. After that, he sat down, and said "So what'll it be master?" AJ laughed, and said "Ya'll are gonna grant me any three wishes Ah want, right?" As William F. Buckley, Discord said "Ah, almost. There are a few provisos, a couple of quid pro quos." "Like what, haystack?" AJ asked. Discord turned back to normal, and said "Ah, rule number one, I can't kill anypony." He sliced his head off with his claw, much to AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash's dismay, and said "So, don't ask." AJ gulped, and said "Ah won't." Discord put his head back on, and said "Rule number two, I can't make anypony fall in love with anypony else." He turned into a pair of lips, and kissed AJ. He groaned in disgust as Discord said "You little punim, there."

Then Discord layed flat, and got up while turning into a zombie as he said "Rule number three, I can't bring ponies back from the dead. It's not a pretty picture, I don't like doing that!" Frightened, AJ nodded in agreement as Discord poofed back to normal, and said "Other than that, you got it." AJ and Spike looked at each other, and smiled at each other. AJ looked at Discord, and said "Provisos? You mean limitations? On wishes?" He then looked at Spike, and said "Some all powerful spirit of chaos. Can't even bring ponies back from the dead." "You're telling me." Spike said while Discord just glared. "Ah don't know Spike." AJ said. "He probably can't even get us out of this cave. Looks like we're gonna have to find a way out of here." "Agreed." Spike said. "I'm right behind you." Rainbow Dash said. They started to leave, but Discord, stopped them with his goat leg, and said "Excuse me? Are you looking at me? Did you rub my statue? Did you wake me up, did you bring me here, and all of a sudden, you're walking out on me?" As he got madder and madder, he said "I don't think so. Not right now! YOU'RE GETTING YOUR WISHES, SO SIT DOWN!" "Whoa, nellie!" AJ yelped out as he sat on Rainbow Dash's cloud. Spike just screamed, and sat on the cloud. Rainbow Dash gulped as she prepared to move them. Discord sat down on the cloud, and said "In case of an emergency, the exits are here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, anywhere! Keep your hooves, claws, and flanks inside the cloud. Weeee'rrrrrreee...outta here!" They then bursted out of the ground, and started to fly away. As they flew away, AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash knew one thing: They never had a friend like Discord before.

At the throne room in the castle in Canterlot, Shining Armor and Princess Luna were talking about what happened in Ponyville with Applejack and Trixie watching them. "Princess Luna, this is an outrage!" Shining Armor said. "If it weren't for all your years of loyal service...well, from now on, you are to discuss sentencing of prisoners with me, before they are beheaded." Princess Luna nodded, and said "I assure you, your highness, it won't happen again." Shining Armor looked at Applejack, and said "Applejack." He then looked at Princess Luna, and said "Princess Luna." He took their hoofs together, and said "Now let's put this whole messy business behind us, please." "My most abject and humblest apologies to you as well, Princess Applejack." Princess Luna said as she tried to kiss Applejack's hoof, but the princess pulled her hoof away, glared, and said "At least some good will come of mah being forced to marry. When Ah am the new ruler of Equestria, Ah will have the power to get rid of you!" As the princess stormed off, Princess Luna chuckled nervously, and Shining Armor said "There. That's nice. All settled, then. Now Applejack, getting back to the sutior buisness. Applejack?" He saw Applejack leaving, and he ran after her as he said "Applejack!" As soon as Shining Armor left the room, Princess Luna growled, and said "If only I had gotten that statue!"

"Ah will have the power to get rid of you!" Trixie said mocking what Applejack had said. The apprentice then growled, and as she and her mistress walked to the balcony, she said "To think, we gotta keep kissing up to that chump, and his chump daughter for the rest of our lives!" They reached the balcony, and Princess Luna looked down on Shining Armor and Applejack having an arguement with each other as she said "No, my very young apprentice. Only until she finds a chump husband. Then she'll have us banished. Or beheaded!" Both Princess Luna and Trixie shuddered at the dreaded idea. Then an idea occured to Trixie as she said "Oh! Wait a minute! Wait a minute! Princess Luna? What if you were the chump husband?!" Princess Luna glared at her apprentice, and said "What?!" Trixie flinched, and said "Okay, you marry the princess, all right? Then, uh, you become the new ruler of Equestria!" Princess Luna smiled at the idea, and as she and Trixie went back inside the throne room, she said "Oh. Marry the shrew? I become the new ruler of Equestria. The idea has merit!" As she sat on Shining Armor's throne, Trixie said "Yes, merit! Yes! And then we drop papa-in-law, and the little mare off a cliff." Then she scream as she flopped to demonstrate the falling off the cliff, and she said "Kersplat!" She and Princess Luna laughed. They stopped laughing as Princess Luna said "I love the way your foul little mind works, my young apprentice!" They both let out an evil cackle.

A few miles away from Dodge Junction, AJ, Spike, Discord, and Rainbow Dash were flying towards an oasis. As they were coming in for a landing, Discord who was dressed like a stewardess said "Thank you for choosing Rainbow Dash's cloud for all your travel needs. Don't stand until the cloud has come to a complete stop." The cloud then stopped, and as AJ, and Spike got off, Discord said "Thank you. Good bye, good bye! Thank you! Good bye!" He turned back to normal, and said "Well, now. How about that, Mr. Doubting Mustafa?" "Oh, ya'll sure showed me." AJ said smiling. "Now, about mah three wishes." Discord gasped, and said "Dost my ears deceive me? Three? You are down by ONE, colt!" "Ah, no. Ah never actually wished to get out of the cave." AJ said. "You did that on your own." Discord was about to talk back, but he gasped when he realized that he was right. "Well, I feel sheepish." Discord said as he turned into a sheep. "All right, you baaaaad colt, but no more freebies." "Fair deal." AJ said. "So, three wishes. Ah want them to be good." He turned to Discord who was hanging like a hammock between two trees, and said "What would you wish for, Discord?" "Me?" Discord asked as he sat down on the floor. "No pony's ever asked me that before. Well, in my case....ah, forget it." "What?" AJ asked. "No, I can't, I-." Discord tried to say, but AJ said "Come on, tell me!" Discord sighed, and said "Freedom."

AJ tilted his head in confusion, and said "You're a prisoner?" "It's all part-and parcel, the whole spirit of chaos gig." Discord said. He grew gigantic, and in a thunderous voice, he said "Phenomenal cosmic powers-!" He shrunk down to his regular size, struck a pose as if he were a statue, and said "Itty bitty living space." AJ frowned, and said "Discord, that's terrible." Discord nodded, and said "But, oh, to be free. Not have to go: Poof! What do you need? Poof! What do you need? Poof! What do you need? To be my own master, such a thing would be greater than all the magic and all the treasures in all the world!" He then sighed, and said "But what am I talking about, here? Let's get real here. It's not gonna happen. Discord, wake up and smell the hummus." "Why not?" AJ asked. "The only way I get outta this, is if my master wishes me out." Discord said. "So, you can guess how often that's happened." "Ah'll do it." AJ said. "Ah'll set ya'll free." "Uh huh, yeah right." Discord said in disbelief as his head turned into Pinocchio's head with a long nose. AJ pushed the long nose back, and Discord's head went back to normal. "No, really, Ah promise." AJ said honestly. "After Ah make mah first two wishes, Ah'll use my third wish to set ya'll free." He held out his foof for the spirit of chaos to shake. Discord looked at the hoof curiously. He then smiled as he shook AJ's hoof, and said "Well, here's hopin'. Ok." He turned into a magician, and said "Let's make some magic!" He then turned back to normal, and said "So how about it? What is it you want most?"

AJ blushed a little, and said "Well, there's this mare-." Discord then made a buzzer noise, and said "Wrong! I can't make anypony fall in love, remember?" "Oh, but Discord." AJ said. "She's smart, and fun, and..." "Pretty?" Discord asked. "Beautiful!" AJ said. "She got these eyes that just...and this mane, wow...and her smlie." He showed his cutie mark to Discord, and said "And, um, we have the same cutie mark." "Ami. C'est L'amour." Discord said as he, Spike, and Rainbow Dash were pretending to sit in a parisian cafe. AJ sighed, and said "But, she's a princess. To even have a chance, I'd have to be a-." He stopped when an idea occured to him. He looked at Discord, and said "Hey, can you make me a prince?" Discord then took out a royal cookbook, and said "Let's see here. Chicken A'la King?" He pulled out a chicken with a crown on it's head, and said "Nope. Alaskan King Crab." Suddenly, a crab pinched the spirit of chaos. He groaned in pain as he threw the crab away, and said "Ow, I hate it when they do that. Ceasar's Salad?" A dagger appeared came out and tried to stab him, but he yelped, and closed the book as he said "Et tu, Brute? Nope." He then opened the book to a page, and said "Aha! To make a prince." He looked at AJ, and said "Now is that an official wish? Say the magic words!"

AJ smiled, and said "Discord, Ah wish for you to make me a prince!" Discord cheered, and said "All right!" He turned into Arsenio Hall, and said "Woof woof woof woof!" Then, he turned into a tailor/fashion designer as he said "First, that hat is much too western. That southern accent, what are we trying to say, country stallion? No! Let's work with me here." He started to take AJ's mesasurements, and with a snap of his fingers, AJ was outfitted in a green and red prince costume. On his head, it was a golden crown with rubies and emeralds on it. He turned to look at his cutie mark, and he was surprised to see that it had changed. It was a big red apple with three blue diamonds on it. He decided to call himself Prince Rarifruit. He looked at himself in the mirror, and said "I really like it." He gasped, and held his mouth with his hoof. Apparently, Discord got rid of his southern accent, and replaced it with a normal speaking voice. "I like it, muy macho!" Discord said in a Spanish accent. "Now, still needs something. What does it say to me? It says mode of transportation." He turned to Spike, and said "Excuse me, dragon boy! Spikey, over here!" Spike hid behind Rainbow Dash, and said "Uh oh!" Discord zapped Spike, and he flew over to them. As if they were in a game show, Discord looked at AJ, and said "Here he comes, and what better way to make your grand entrance on the streets of Canterlot, than riding your very own brand new camel!"

As Spike turned into a camel, Discord said "Watch out, they spit." Spike spitted and frowned. "Mmm, not enough." Discord said as he snapped his fingers, and Spike turned into a breezie. "Still not enough. Let's see. What do you need? What do you need?" As he snapped his fingers multiple times, Spike turned into a duck, an ostrich, a turtle, a purple car, and back to normal." Then idea occured to Discord, and he said "Yes!! Esalalumbo, shimin dumbo!" As he turned Spike into an elephant, he said "Whoa!! Talk about your trunk space, check this action out!" "Spike, your standing on my tail!" Rainbow Dash said as she struggled to get away. "Sorry about that!" Spike said as he lifted his foot off of the tail. He then looked down at his reflection in the pool of water. He screamed, and climbed up into a tree, and it bended right back to the ground. "Spike, you look good." AJ said chuckling. Spike just glared as Discord said "He's got the outfit, he's got the elephant. but we're not through yet! Hang on to your crown, colt! We're gonna make you a star!" He then used his magic to make AJ into a superstar.

At the throne room in the castle in Canterlot, Shining Armor was putting a block on the top of the big pile of blocks. He smiled when he managed to place the block on the top of the pile without knocking it down. Suddenly, Princess Luna and Trixie stormed into the throne room, knocking down the pile of blocks as Shining Armor gasped in shock. "Sire, I have found a solution to the problem with your daughter." Princess Luna said. "The problem with your daughter indeed!" Trixie said. "Oh, really?" Shining Armor asked. Princess Luna unrolled a scroll, and said "Right here. If the princess has not chosen a husband by the appointed time, then the current ruler of Equestria shall choose for her." Shining Armor tried to give a cracker to Trixie who backed away in disgust, but he pulled back, and said "But Applejack hated all those suitors! How can I choose somepony she hates?!" Trixie sighed with relief, but Shining Armor stuffed the cracker into her mouth, much to her dismay. She spitted the cracker out, and muttered "Jerk." "Not to worry, my liege." Princess Luna said as Trixie walked away from Shining Armor. "If, in the event a suitible prince cannot be found, a princess must then be wed to...hmmm...interesting.

"What? Who?" Shining Armor asked. "The royal vizier!" Princess Luna said as she smirked at Trixie who smirked back. "Why, that would be...me." Shining Armor looked at the scroll more closely, and said "But, I thought the law says that only a prince can marry a princess. I'm quite sure that-" Princess Luna then pulled the scroll away as she said "Desperate times call for desperate measures, my lord." Her green amulet began to flare with power as Shining Armor became mezmerized, and said "Yes...desperate measures..." "You will order the princess to marry me." Princess Luna said. "I...will order...the princess...to..." Shining Armor tried to say, but he snapped out of it, and said "But you're so old!" "The princess WILL marry me!" Princess Luna said as she made her amulet glow brighter to make Shining Armor fall under its spell again. "The princess will marry-." Shining Armor tried to say, but suddenly, a trumpeting noise was heard, and he snapped out of it again as he said "What? What is that? That music!" He ran to the balcony, and looked out in the streets of Canterlot to see a parade going on. He chuckled, and said "Princess Luna, you must come and see this!" In the streets of Canterlot, Discord was leading the parade as he said "Make way for Prince Rarifruit!" Prince Rarifruit waved to the crowd as he rode on Spike's back.

"He's got seventy-five golden camels, sixty-three purple peacocks, and ninety-five white persan monkeys!" Discord said. Prince Rarifruit threw bits to the ponies, and they took them as Princess Luna, and Trixie stepped out onto the balcony, and watched the parade. Applejack stepped onto the balcony of her bedroom, and watched the parade heading towards the castle. She scoffed, and went back in th bedroom. As the parade got closer, Shining Armor ran into the throne room, and ran to the door. He attempted to open the door, but Princess Luna shut the door with her magic as she and Trixie walked to it. Suddenly, the door opened, and the parade walked in. Discord went up to Shining Armor, and said "He heard your princess was a sight that was so lovely to see!" He put the ruler of Equestria on the throne, and said "So that's why he got dolled up and dropped by with sixty elephants, llamas, bears, and lions. He has his brass band, his forty fakirs, his cooks, his bakers, and birds that wable on key! So, make way for Prince Rarifruit!" He went back to his shrunken statue in the pocket of the disguised prince suit. Prince Rarifruit hopped on Rainbow Dash's cloud, and flew over to Shining Armor as Princess Luna pushed the parade outside, and shut the door in anger while Trixie recovered from door slamming on her.

Shining Armor smiled as he said "Splendid, absolutely marvelous!" Prince Rarifruit cleared his throat, and said "Your majesty, I have journeyed from afar to seek your daughter's hoof." Shining Armor stood up from his throne, and walked to Prince Rarifruit as he said "Prince Rarifruit! Of course. I'm delighted to meet you. This is my royal vizier, Princess Luna. She's delighted too." "Estactic." Princess Luna said dryly. "I'm afraid, Prince Rare Boo-Boo." "Rarifruit!" Prince Rarifruit said feeling annoyed. Princess Luna rolled her eyes, and said "Whatever. You cannot just parade in here uninivted and expect to-." She stopped talking when Shining Armor said "By Celestia, she's a remarkable pony." Rainbow Dash smiled, and "Name's Rainbow Dash." Shining Armor looked at Prince Rarifruit, and said "I don't suppose, I might, uh, ride on your friend's cloud?" "Why certainly, your majesty." Prince Rarifruit said. "Allow me." He helped the ruler of Equestria onto Rainbow Dash's cloud, but Princess Luna stepped on it, and said "Sire, I must advise against this." "Oh, button up, Princess Luna." Shining Armor said. "Learn to have a little fun." He pushed the hoof away, and it smacked Trixie in the face. "Ow!" She yelled in pain. Rainbow Dash then took the cloud, and she and Shining Armor started flying around the throne room.

"Oh, look out! Here I come!" Shining Armor said as he and Rainbow Dash went for a dive, and went under Spike, scaring him. "Just where did you say you were from?" Princess Luna asked as the flight continued. "Oh, uh, much farther than you've traveled, I'm sure." Prince Rarifruit said as he smiled. Princess Luna raised an eyebrow, and said "Try me." "Look out, Trixie!" Shining Armor said as Princess Luna, Trixie, and Prince Rarifruit ducked underneath him and Rainbow Dash. Trixie screamed, and ran for her life when she was being chased by Shining Armor and Rainbow Dash. "Hey watch it! Watch it with the dumb pony!" Trixie said. She screamed and ducked. She sighed with relief, but she slammed against the wall. "Ouch." She muttered. "Out of the way, I'm coming in to land!" Shining Armor said. "Princess Luna, watch this!" As he and Rainbow Dash landed on the ground, Princess Luna said "Spectacular, your highness." "Ooh, that was lovely." Shining Armor said as he took a few deep breaths. Rainbow Dash got dizzy, and fell down. "Phew! I'm tuckered out." Rainbow Dash said. "Yes, I do seem to have a knack for it." Shining Armor said looking at Prince Rarifruit. "This is a very impressive youth. And a prince besides." He looked at Princess Luna, and whispered out "If we're lucky, you won't have to marry Applejack after all."

"I don't trust him, sire." Princess Luna whispered out. "Nonsense." Shining Armor said. "One thing I pride myself on Princess Luna, I'm an excellent judge of character." "Oh, excellent judge, yeah sure." Trixie said sarcastically as she recovered from her injury. "NOT!" As Applejack entered the throne room, Shining Armor chuckled, and said "Applejack will like this one." "And I'm pretty sure I'll like Princess Applejack." Prince Rarifriut said smiling. "Your highness, no!" Princess Luna said as she got between Prince Rarifruit and Shining Armor. "I must intercede on Applejack's behalf." As Applejack started to get angry, Princess Luna said "This stallion is no different than the others." She looked at Prince Rarifruit, and said "What makes him think he is worthy of the princess?" "Your majesty, I am Prince Rarifruit!" Prince Rarifruit said in a confident tone. "Just let her meet me. I will win your daughter." Applejack finally snapped in anger, and said "How dare you!" They looked at the princess, feeling surprised as Applejack said "ALL OF YOU! Standing around deciding MAH future?!?! AH am NOT a prize to be WON!" As she stormed off, Shining Armor said "Oh dear." As the saddened Prince Rarifruit and Shining Armor exited the throne room, the ruler of Equestria said "Don't worry, Prince Rarifruit. Just give Applejack time to cool down." Princess Luna glared at Prince Rarifruit coldly, and said "I think it's time to say goodbye to Prince Rare Boo-Boo."

Later that night, Applejack stood out on her balcony, sighed sadly, and walked back to her bedroom. In the courtyard, AJ was pacing back and fourth in distress, Spike was trying to eat some gemstones up to no avail, and Discord and Rainbow Dash were playing chess together. AJ sighed sadly, and said "What am I gonna do? Applejack won't even let me talk to her." He took off his crown, and said "I should have known I couldn't pull off this stupid prince wish." "You're telling me." Spike said. "I can't even eat a gemstone!" "You're not helping, Spike!" AJ said. "Technically, you aren't either." Spike said. "So move." Discord said looking at the chess board. "Hmmm." Rainbow Dash said looking at her chess pieces. She took her queen, and knocked Discord's pawn piece off the board as she said "Checkmate!" "That's a good move." Discord said. He turned into Rodney Dangerfield, and said "I can't believe it. I'm loosing to a pony." AJ sighed, and said "Discord, I need help!" Discord turned into Jack Nicholson, and said All right, sparky, here's the deal. You wanna court the little mare, you gotta be a straight shooter, do ya got it?" "What?" AJ asked. Discord turned back to normal, and he wore a mortarboard. He made a blackboard, and pointed out the words written on it as he said "Tell he the..." He flipped the black, and pointed at the word written on it as he said "TRUTH!!!" "No way!" AJ said as he wiped the blackboard away with his crown. "If Applejack found out I really some crummy street-pony, she'd laugh at me." He placed the crown on his head which turned out to be Discord who turned into a lamp shade, and said "A mare appreciates a stallion who can make her laugh!"

AJ frowned as he pulled on the chain, turning off the light. Discord came out, holding AJ's real crown, and said "AJ, all joking aside, you really oughtta be yourself." AJ snatched his crown back from Discord, and said "Hey, that's the last thing I want to be!" He put the crown on his head, and said "Okay, I'm gonna go see her. I just...I gotta be smooth, cool, confident." He looked at Discord, and said "How do I look?" "Like a prince." Discord said sighing sadly. "You ready, Rainbow Dash?" AJ asked. Rainbow Dash sighed, and said "I'm ready." AJ then hopped on Rainbow Dash's cloud, and they fly up to the balcony. Inside the bedroom, Applejack sat down on her bed while sighing sadly. Fluttershy sat down next to her friend, and tried to comfort her. "Princess Applejack?" A voice asked. Applejack and Fluttershy looked up to see Prince Rarifruit standing on the edge of the balcony. "Who's there?" Applejack asked while Fluttershy got defensive. "It's me, Prince Rarifruit-." Prince Rarifruit tried to say, but he then cleared his throat to deepen his voice, and said "Prince Rarifruit!" Applejack poked her head out from the orange transparent curtains, and said "Ah do NOT want to see you!" As she went back in her bedroom, Prince Rarifruit tried to walk up to her, and said "No, no, please princess. Give me a chance." He backed up as Fluttershy advanced on him while growling in anger, and Applejack said "Just leave me alone!"

AJ went up on the edge of the balcony, trying to get away from Fluttershy as he said "Down miss." Rainbow Dash was watching from underneath the balcony as Discord went up to her, and said "So, how's our little beau doing?" "Not good." Rainbow Dash said. "He's failing out there!" Discord facepalmed himself at that statement. "Good pony, take off!" Prince Rarifruit said, using his crown to try and brush Fluttershy away. Applejack walked out to her balcony as Prince Rarifruit said "Down pony!" Feeling like she had seen the prince before, Applejack said "Wait, wait. Do Ah know you?" Fluttershy backed away from Prince Rarifruit who put the crown on his head, and said "Uh, no, no." Fluttershy stood next to Applejack who said "Ya'll remind me of somepony Ah met in the Ponyville Marketplace." "The Ponyville Marketplace?" AJ said as Discord who was disguised as a bee tried to get his friend's attention. "I have servants that go to the Ponyville Marketplace for me. Why, I even have servants who to go to the Ponyville Marketplace for my servants, so it couldn't have been me you met." Feeling disappointed, Applejack said "No, Ah guess not." Prince Rarifruit suddenly looked at Discord who said "Enough about you, Casanova. Talk about her! She's smart, fun, the mane, the eyes. Anything! Pick a feature." Prince Rarifruit cleared his throat, and said "Um, Princess Applejack? You're very..." "Wonderful, magnificent, glorious, punctual!" Discord said.

"Punctual!" Prince Rarifruit said. Applejack looked at the prince in shock, and said "Punctual?!" "Sorry." Discord said. "Uh-Uh, beautiful!" Prince Rarifruit said as he quickly corrected himself. Discord smiled, and said "Nice recovery." "Hmm. Ah'm rich too, you know." Applejack said with a smile as she advanced towards the prince. "Yeah." Prince Rarifruit said smiling. "The daughter of a ruler of Equestria." Applejack said. "I know." Prince Rarifruit said. As she got close to the prince who leaned against the edge of the balcony, Applejack said "A fine prize for any prince to marry." As she leaned on him, Prince Rarifruit said "Uh, right. Right. A prince like me." Discord buzzed in Prince Rarifruit's ear, and said "Warning! Warning!" "Right, a prince like you." Applejack said. She then got angry, and said "AND EVERY OTHER STUFFED SHIRT, SWAGGERING PEACOCK AH'VE MET!" As she placed the cape over Prince Rarifruit's face, Discord had his rear end on fire, and he wore goggles. He was crashing as he said "Mayday! Mayday!" As Prince Rarifruit recovered, Applejack said "Just go jump off a balcony!" "What?" Prince Rarifruit asked in shock. "Stop her! Stop her!" Discord said. "Want me to sting her?" Prince Rarifruit swated at Discord, and said "Buzz off!" "Okay, fine." Discord said. "But remember: Bee yourself." As Discord went back to his shrunken statue in the pocket of the disguised prince suit, Prince Rarifruit said "Yeah, right!"

Thinking that Prince Rarifruit was talking to her, Applejack looked at the prince, and said "WHAT?!?!" "Uh, you're right!" Prince Rarifruit said as Applejack looked at him in confusion. He sighed, and said "You aren't just some prize to be won. You should be free to make your own choice. I'll go now." As he stepped off the balcony, and started to fall, Applejack began to panic, and said "NO!" Prince Rarifruit poked his head up, and said "What? What?" "How-How are you doing that?" Applejack asked in amazement. Prince Rarifruit flew up to Applejack, and said "This is Rainbow Dash." "That's nice." Applejack said. "Yep. Rainbow Dash is my name. Don't wear it out." Rainbow Dash said with a smile. "You, uh, you don't want to go for a ride, do you?" Prince Rarifruit asked. "We could get out of the castle, see the world." "Is it safe?" Applejack asked. "Sure." Prince Rarifruit said. "Do you trust me?" Applejack looked at him because she heard that before, and said "What?" "Do you trust me?" Prince Rarifruit asked holding his hoof out for the princess. Applejack gave out a sly grin, and said "Yes." She took the princess hoof, and he pulled her onto Rainbow Dash's cloud. "Take us away." Prince Rarifruit said. "You got it!" Rainbow Dash said as she pushed her cloud to take Applejack to a whole new world.

As they flew all over Equestria, Applejack took in all the sights she saw. She had never seen all of Equestria outside the castle in Canterlot before, and she never imagined that it would be so beautiful. Soon they settled down on the roof of a building in the Appleloosa town square where the ponies were shooting fireworks into the sky. Applejack smiled, and said "It's all so magical." "Yeah." Prince Rarifruit said. Applejack looked at Prince Rarifruit, and said "It's a shame that Spike had to miss this." "Nah. He hates fireworks." Prince Rarifruit said. "He doesn't really like flying either." Rainbow Dash realized what happened, and she whispered out "You idiot!" Prince Rarifruit then realized it, and said "That is...oh no!" Applejack then took the crown off Prince Rarifruit's head, and said "You are the stallion from the Ponyville Marketplace! Ah knew it! Why did ya'll lie to me?!" "Applejack, I'm sorry!" Prince Rarifruit said. "Did you think Ah was stupid?!" Applejack asked. "No!" Prince Rarifruit said. "That Ah wouldn't figure it out?!" Applejack asked. "No! I mean, I hoped you wouldn't." Prince Rarifruit said. "No, that's not what I meant!" "Who are you?!" Applejack asked. "Tell me the truth!" "The truth?" Prince Rarifruit said as Applejack glared at him. He looked at Rainbow Dash who whispered out "Tell her the truth!"

"The truth...The truth is...I sometimes dress as a commoner to escape the pressures of palace life!" Prince Rarifruit said. Rainbow Dash sighed in defeat, and Prince Rarifruit said "But I really am a prince!" "Why didn't you just tell me, sugarcube?" Applejack asked. "Well, you know, um...royalty going out into the city in disguise, it sounds a little strange, don't you think?" Prince Rarifruit asked. Applejack thought for a minute as she smiled, and said "Not that strange." Later on, they went back to the castle in Canterlot, and Applejack stepped onto her balcony from Rainbow Dash's cloud. As Rainbow Dash lowered her cloud a little, Applejack looked down on Prince Rarifruit, and said "Goodnight, mah handsome prince." "Sleep well, princess." Prince Rarifruit said with a smile on his face. They leaned forward to kiss, but Rainbow Dash smirked, and bumped him up, and he and Applejack kissed sooner than expected. After they finished kissing, Applejack walked to the curtain of her bedroom. She looked at Prince Rarifruit who smiled at her. She smiled back, and walked into her bedroom. "Yes!" AJ said as he fell on Rainbow Dash's cloud. She placed it on the ground as AJ looked up on the balcony, and said "For the first time in my life, things are starting to go right." Suddenly, he was grabbed by the pony guards as he said "Hey! What?!" He was then gagged as he said "Spike! Spike!" But it was too late, two of the pony guards had already caught the elephant in the net. "Hold him!" One of the pony guards said as they shackled him. Rainbow Dash attacked Iron Will as she said "Hey, leave him alone!" But then, Iron Will overpowered Rainbow Dash, and tied her tail to a tree.

Princess Luna and Trixie then approached AJ as Princess Luna said "I'm afraid that you worn out your welcome, Prince Rare Boo-Boo." AJ got angry, and tried to attack Princess Luna, but Iron Will, and the pony guards held him down. As she and her apprentice walked away, Princess Luna said "Make sure he's never found." Iron Will then hit AJ on the head, knocking him out cold. Then Iron Will, and the pony guards went to a cliff. They threw AJ's body off the edge, and they walked off as they laughed themselves silly. By the time AJ woke up, he realized that his hooves there tied to a rock. He hit the water, and he struggled to get free. He landed on the ocean floor below, and he saw that the statue grew to its normal size, and landed near him. He tried to get to it, but he lost consciousness, and fell to the floor. The statue became unsettled by the movement, and rolled down as it rubbed against AJ's hoof. The statue then came to life as Discord said "Never fails. Get in the bath, and there's a rub at the statue." He looked at AJ, and said "Hello. AJ?" He gasped in shock and horror as he said "AJ! Colt! Snap out of it!" AJ didn't respond, and Discord said "You can't cheat on this one! I can't help you unless you make a wish! You have to say 'Discord, I want you to save my life.' Got it? Okay." He shook AJ as he said "Come on, AJ!" When he still didn't get a response, he said "I'll take that as a yes." His head turned into a siren that made a loud noise, and then he turned into a submarine. He babbled on in German as he picked up AJ, and went into the surface.

They broke the surface, and Discord turned back into his normal form as he placed AJ on the cliff. AJ coughed up the water out of his lungs, and he looked up at Discord who said "Don't you scare me like that!" "Discord, I...uh...I uh..." AJ said as he tried to think of something to say. But instead, he just hugged Discord, and said "Thanks, Discord." Discord smiled as he picked up AJ as he said "Oh, AJ. I'm getting kind of fond of you, colt." As they flew back to the castle in Canterlot, Discord said "Not that I want to pick out curtains or anything."

In her bedroom at the castle in Canterlot, Applejack was sitting at her desk while looking at her reflection in the mirror, brushing her mane with a brush, and humming a tune. Suddenly, the door opened, and the entranced Shining Armor stepped inside as he said "Applejack." Applejack looked at her father, and walked towards him as she said "Oh, father! Ah just had the most wonderful time. Ah'm so happy!" "You should be, Applejack." Shining Armor said. "I have chosen a husband for you." Applejack tilted her head in confusion as she said "What?" "You will wed Princess Luna." Shining Armor said as he opened the door further to reveal Princess Luna, and Trixie who was standing next to her. Applejack gasped in shock and horror as Princess Luna took the princess's hoof in her own, and said "You're speechless, I see. A fine quality in a wife." Applejack pulled away from Princess Luna as she said "Ah will never marry you!" She went over to her father, and said "Pa, I choose Prince Rarifruit!" "Prince Rarifruit left!" Princess Luna said. "Better check your crystal ball again, Princess Luna!" A voice said. They all turned to see Prince Rarifruit standing in the doorway to the balcony. Applejack smiled, and said "Prince Rarifruit!" Princess Luna gasped at the sight of Prince Rarifruit, and Trixie said "How in the he-!" Princess Luna quickly shushed her apprentice as Prince Rarifruit said "Tell them the truth, Princess Luna! You tried to have me killed!"

Princess Luna scoffed, and walked over to Shining Armor as she said "What? Ridiculous nonsense, your highness. He's obviously lying." As her emerald amulet flared with power, Shining Armor said "Obviously...lying." "Pa, what's wrong with you?!" Applejack asked feeling scared. "I know what's wrong!" Prince Rarifruit said. He ripped the emerald amulet off of Princess Luna's neck, threw it on the ground, and smashed it with his hoof. Shining Armor out of his trance, and said "Oh, oh, oh my!" "Your highness, Princess Luna's been controlling you with this!" Prince Rarifruit said pointing at the destroyed amulet. "Wh-What?!" Shining Armor asked in shock. He looked at Princess Luna, and got angry as he said "You, you traitor!" Princess Luna and Trixie backed away as Shining Armor, Applejack, and Prince Rarifruit advanced on them, and said "Your majesty, all of this can be explained!" "Guards, guards!" Shining Armor said. "Well, that's it." Trixie said. "We're dead, forget it. Just dig a grave for both of us. We're dead!" Princess Luna gasped when she saw the mini version of the statue of Discord in Prince Rarifruit's pocket, and attempted to make a move, but is grabbed by the pony guards as Shining Armor said "Arrest Princess Luna at once!" "This is not done yet, colt!" Princess Luna said.

Prince Rarifruit charged at Princess Luna, but she used her magic to disappear in a puff of midnight blue smoke as she cackled sinisterly, and Shining Armor, Applejack, Prince Rarifruit, and the pony guards coughed. When the smoke cleard, both Princess Luna and Trixie were gone. "Find her! Search everywhere!" Shining Armor said as the pony guards ran out of the bedroom. "Applejack, are you all right?" Prince Rarifruit asked. Applejack nodded, and said "Yes." They tried to kiss each other, but Shining Armor barged between them, and said "Luna, my most trusted counselor, plotting against me all this time. This is horrible. Just horrible! How will I ever-!" He then stopped talking, and looked at Prince Rarifruit and Applejack as he said "Can it be true? My daughter has finally chosen a suitor?!" Applejack nodded, and Shining Armor cheered as he said "Praise Celestia!" He hugged Prince Rarifruit as he said "You brilliant colt, I could kiss you!" He pushed Applejack to Prince Rarifruit as they hugged each other, and said "But, I won't. I'll leave that to my daughter. You two will be wed at once! Yes, yes. And you'll happy and prosperous, and then my colt, you become the new ruler of Equestria!" "The new ruler of Equestria?" Prince Rarifruit asked smiling. "Yes, a fine upstanding youth like yourself, a stallion of your unimpeachable moral character is exactly what this kingdom needs!" Shining Armor said smiling. Prince Rarifruit then frowned as he became concerned about the situation he was in.

-Meanwhile at Princess Luna's chamber-

Princess Luna opened to the door, and Trixie ran inside as she said "We gotta get outta here! We gotta get...I gotta start packing, your highness. Only essentials." Princess Luna closed the door as she began to smile. Trixie packed her stuff as she said "Bring the guns, the weapons, the knives!" She then took out a picture of herself, and Princess Luna, and said "And how about this picture? I don't know. I think I'm making a weird face in it." Suddenly, she heard laughing, and she looked at her mistress who was laughing insanely. She cringed, and said "Oh, boy. She's cracked. She's gone nuts." She went up to Princess Luna, and waved in her face as she said "Luna?! Luna?! Get a grip!" Princess Luna grabbed her apprentice by her throat, and as she choked, she said "Good grip." "Prince Rarifruit is nothing more than that ragged urchin AJ!" Princess Luna said. "He has the statue of Discord, Trixie." "Why that misrable-!" Trixie tried to say in anger, but Princess Luna interrupted her, and said "But you are going to relieve him of it!" Trixie looked at Princess Luna in shock, and said "Me?!?!?!"

The next day, AJ looked out into the garden outside his bedroom with a very sad look on his face. "Prince? They want me to be prince?" He asked himself. Suddenly, Discord came to life, went up to him, and said "Huzzah! Hail the conquering hero!" He turned into a one-man band, and started playing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' while AJ just walked away from him with his head hanging low. Discord then stopped playing the music, scratched his head, went in front him, and held up his paw and claw together like a movie director scoping a picture as he looked at him, and said "AJ! You've just won the heart of the princess. What are you gonna do next?!" AJ just stared at him, and walked past him in sadness. He landed on his bed, and sighed. Spike and Rainbow Dash looked at AJ through the open window as Discord approached him with the movie script of 'My Little Aladdin', and whispered out "Psst, Your line is: "I'm going to free the spirit of chaos." Anytime." "Discord, I can't." AJ said. "Sure you can." Discord said as he grabbed his friend. "You just go "Discord, I wish you free."" AJ pushed Discord away as he said "I'm serious! Look, I'm sorry! I really am! But, they want to make prince! NO! They want to make Prince Rarifruit prince! Without you, I'm just...you know, AJ."

"AJ, you won!" Discord said. "Because of you!" AJ said. "The only reason anypony thinks I'm worth anything is because of you! What if they find out I'm not really a prince? What if Applejack finds out? I'll lose her." He looked at Discord, and said "Discord, I can't keep this up on my own. I-I can't wish you free." Discord began to feel sad and disappointed as he sarcasticly said "Fine. I understand. After all, you lied to everypony else. Hey, I was begininng to feel left out." He went up to his statue platform, and said "Now, if you'll excuse me, master." He then struck a pose, and turned to stone. Spike and Rainbow Dash frowned as Spike said "Ohhh." AJ frowned, and said "Discord, I'm really sorry." Discord briefly came to life, and stuck his tounge out at AJ as he raspberried at him. He then turned back to stone as AJ snapped with anger, and said "WELL, FINE!" He kicked the statue as he said "Then just stay in there!" Spike and Rainbow Dash just stared in shock as AJ glared at them, and said "What are you guys looking at?!" Spike started to cry a little as AJ said "Look, I-I'm sorry. Wait, Spike...I-I'm sorry, I didn't...wait, come on!" "Excuse me, AJ, but I thought you were the element of honesty!" Rainbow Dash said in anger. "But, now I see that the only element you are is the element of deception!" She then took off to follow Spike.

AJ then sat down on his bed as he sighed, and muttered "What am I doing?" He sighed, and said "Discord is right. I gotta tell Applejack the truth." He then heard a voice that said "Rarifruit, oh Rarifruit. Will you come here?" He sighed, and muttered "Well, here goes." He put his crown on his head, went outside, and looked around as he said "Applejack? Where are you?" Trixie was in her flamingo disguse, and was imitating Applejack's voice as she said "Out in the menagerie. Hurry." "I'm coming!" AJ said as he ran off. Trixie chuckled sinisterly, and was suddenly face-to-face with a flamingo that was in love with her. She got angry, and slapped him as she said "You got a problem, pinkie?! Jerk." She cackled with glee as she ran into the bedroom, and went up to the statue as she said "Boy, Luna's gonna be happy to see you!" She then started imitating her mistress's voice as she said "Excllent work, Trixie." She then spoke in her normal voice as she said "Aw, go on!" She then imitated Princess Luna's voice again as she said "No, really. On a scale of one-to-ten, you are eleven!" She then spoke in her normal voice as she said "Ah, Luna, you're too kind! I'm embarrassed, I'm blushing!" She then used her magic to teleport herself, and the statue to Princess Luna.

Outside the castle in Canterlot, all the ponies were standing outside the entrance as Shining Armor said "Citizens of Equestria! My daughter has finally chosen a suitor!" Applejack took a peek from the blue curtain, and then, she heard a voice that said "Applejack?" She turned to see Prince Rarifruit standing there as she said "Rarifruit, where have you been?!" "Applejack, there's something I've got to tell you." Prince Rarifruit said. Applejack then ran down the stairs, grabbed Prince Rarifruit, and pulled him up the stairs as she said "The whole kingdom has turned out for father's announcement!" As she prepared him, he said "No! But Applejack, listen to me, please! You don't understand!" "Good luck, sugarcube!" Applejack said as she pushed Prince Rarifruit out onto the platform. "Prince Rarifruit!" Shining Armor said. The crowd cheered as Prince Rarifruit muttered "Oh boy." In a high tower, Princess Luna and Trixie looked down at Prince Rarifruit as Trixie said "Look at them. Cheering that little pipsqueak." "Let them cheer." Princess Luna said with a smirk on her face as she rubbed the statue her apprentice stole with her hoof. Discord then came to life as he said "You know AJ, I'm getting really-!" He spotted Princess Luna, and said "I don't think you're him. Tonight, the part of AJ will be played by a tall, dark, and sinister ugly pony." Princess Luna grabbed Discord by his tail as she said "I am your mistress now!"

Discord gulped, and said "I was afraid of that!" "Discord, grant me my first wish!" Princess Luna said. "I wish to rule on high, as the new ruler of Equestria!" Discord then reluctantly obeyed, and the sun started to set outisde, and the moon rose into the sky. Then, a huge gust of wind ripped the roof of the castle off as Shining Armor, Prince Rarifruit, and Applejack ducked. "Whoa!" Prince Rarifruit said. "Bless my soul." Shining Armor said. Suddenly, he was lifted in the air as he said "What is this?! What is going on?! Oh my goodness, what's happening?!" The crown left his head as Applejack said "Father!" Princess Luna cackled sinisterly as she appeared out of nowhere, and place the crown on her head. Shining Armor then glared at his former advisor as he said "Luna, you vile betrayer!" Trixie appeared out of nowhere, and said "That's PRINCESS Luna vile betrayer to you!" Prince Rarifruit smirked, and said "Oh yeah? Well, we'll see about that!" He dug into his pocket, but gasped when he realized that the statue is not with him. "The statue!" He muttered. Princess Luna smirked, and said "Finders keepers, Rare Boo-Boo!" Prince Rarifruit looked up, and gasped in horror as he saw a monstrous version of Discord who picked up the castle. Prince Rarifruit then whistled loud enough for Spike and Rainbow Dash to hear. "Oh my gosh!" Rainbow Dash said as she quickly grabbed a piece of a cloud, and flew to Prince Rarifruit who jumped on it.

Everypony screamed in terror as Discord placed the castle on a higher mountain. Prince Rarifruit and Rainbow Dash went up to Discord as Prince Rarifruit said "Discord! NO!" "Sorry, colt." Discord said sadly. "I got a new mistress now." "Luna, I order you to stop!" Shining Armor said. "Ah, but there's a new order now." Princess Luna said. "My order! Finally, you will bow to me!" Shining Armor silently bowed in fright as Applejack said "We'll never bow to you!" "Why am I not surprised?!" Trixie asked. Princess Luna got super angry as she said "If you won't bow before a princess, THEN YOU WILL COWER BEFORE A NIGHTMARE!" She looked up at Discord as she said "Discord! My second wish! I wish to be the most powerful nightmare in the world!" Discord covered his eyes as he prepared to fire his magic at Princess Luna. Prince Rarifruit tried to stop Discord as he said "Discord, STOP!" But he failed as he accidently made Discord fire his magic at Princess Luna. As she began to transform, Trixie said "Mares and gentlecolts! A warm Equestria welcome for...Nightmare Moon!" Princess Luna's coat singed from dark blue to very dark cornflower blue, and her mane turned brilliant phthalo blue with grayish persian blue outline as it blazed out. Her eyes became cat-like, and her teeth became sharp.

Shining Armor and Applejack gasped in horror as Nightmare Moon said "Now, where were we, my little ponies?" She looked down on them, and said "Ah, yes. Abject humiliation!" She used her magic to make them bow before her. Fluttershy let out a battle cry as she tried to attack Nightmare Moon, but she used her magic to turn her into a white persian cat as she said "Down, girl!" "Meow?" Fluttershy asked. Nightmare Moon lifted Applejack's chin with her hoof as she said "Oh, princess. There's somepony I'm dying to introduce you to." Prince Rarifruit and Rainbow Dash charged at Nightmare Moon as Prince Rarifruit said "Nightmare Moon! Get your hooves off of her!" Nightmare Moon caught him with her magic, and said "Ah yes. Now, princess, meet a blast from your past whose lies were too good to last." As she stripped Prince Rarifruit of his prince clothing, returned his southern accent, and his real cutie mark, she said "Say hello to your precious Prince Rarifruit!" "Or shall we say, AJ!" Trixie said. "What in tarnation?!" AJ asked. He then gasped, and placed his hoof in his mouth when he realized that his southern accent returned. "Rarifruit?" Applejack asked in shock. "Applejack, Ah tried to tell ya'll. Ah'm just-!" Nightmare Moon then interrupted him as she said "So, Prince Rarifruit turns out to be merely AJ!" Spike tried to charge at Nightmare Moon, but she turned him back into a dragon.

Nightmare Moon then lifted Spike and AJ with her magic, and said "Time to send you packing on a one-way trip!" She tossed them into a tower on the castle, and launched it into the air as she said "So long, ex-Prince Rarifruit!" "Goodbye! See ya!" Trixie said. Nightmare Moon then smirked at Applejack and Shining Armor, and said "I hope you enjoyed this day, my little ponies. For it was your last! From this moment forth, the night will last FOREVER!" She let out an insanely evil laughter as her name blazed, and Shining Armor and Applejack shook in fright.

In the snowy mountain, the tower Nightmare Moon launched crash-landed on the snow, and rolled to the nearby edge of the cliff. AJ emerged from the tower, and shivered from the cold. He looked around, and said "Spike?" He ran to the edge of the cliff, looked down, and said "SPIKE!" He then heard shivering, and he turned around to see Spike buried under a pile of snow. He ran over to him, and started digging as he said "Oh, this is all mah fault! Ah should have freed Discord when Ah had the chance!" He stopped digging, and hugged Spike as he said "Spike! You ok, haystack?" "Y-Yeah. Sure. No problem." Spike said. "Ah'm sorry, Spike." AJ said. "Ah-Ah made a mess of everything. Somehow, Ah gotta go back and set things right." Spike got on AJ's back, and they started making their way through the blizzard. Suddenly, AJ stepped on a frozen tail, and discovered that it was Rainbow Dash who flew over to the flying tower to help them, but got frozen in the process. "Rainbow Dash!" AJ said with a smile. He then noticed that her tail was pinned onto a tower. He tried to pull her out, but it was no use. He started digging in the snow as he said "Spike, start digging!" "Ok." Spike said as he started digging. "That's it!" AJ said. Suddenly, the tower started rolling, and he pulled Spike out of the way as he started running. Spike gasped, and he and AJ rolled through. They made it out on a patch of snow, and the tower fell over the cliff. "Yee-haw!" AJ said as he cheered. "All right!" Spike got scared that he lightly fainted. Rainbow Dash then shook the snow and ice off of her, and said "Thanks!" She grabbed a piece of cloud, and AJ and Spike hopped on it. As they took off, AJ said "Now, back to Canterlot! Let's go!"

-Meanwhile in Canterlot-

At the castle in the high mountain, Nightmare Moon was sitting on her throne while watching Trixie playing Shining Armor like a puppet with her magic. Applejack was chained next to the throne while Discord stood next to Nightmare Moon. As Trixie stuffed Shining Armor's face with crackers, she said "Puppet ruler want a cracker? Here's your cracker! Shove them all the way down your throat! Here, have lots!" Nightmare Moon chuckled as Applejack said "STOP IT! Nightmare Moon, leave him alone!" Nightmare Moon then motioned Trixie to stop, and she grunted in dismay. Nightmare Moon then pulled Applejack's chain with her magic, and said "It pains me to see you reduced to this, Applejack." She took a bite of an apple that Applejack held in her hooves, and said "A beautiful apple blossom such as yourself should be on the hoof of the most powerful pony in all of Equestria." She then used her magic to turn Applejack's chain into a midnight blue crown with white pearls on it, and said "What do you say, my dear? Why, with you as my queen-." Applejack then threw apple cider that was in a blue glass in Nightmare Moon's face as she said "Never!"

Nightmare Moon then growled in anger as she said "I'll teach you some respect!" Applejack backed up in fear as Nightmare Moon prepared to slap her across the face, but she held herself back when an idea came to her. She smirked, and said "No." She looked at Discord, and said "Oh, Discord. I have decided to make my final wish. I wish for Princess Applejack to fall desperately in love with me." Applejack then gasped in horror. Just then, AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash arrived, and landed on the high window as Discord turned into William F. Buckley, and said "Ah, mistress, there are a few addendas, some quid pro quo-." Nightmare Moon grabbed him with her magic, and said "Don't talk back to me, you stupid lout! You will do what I order you to do, slave!" Applejack looked up to see AJ, and his friends in the window, and as they used the cloud to land softly on the ground, they motioned her to keep quiet, and to play along. Pretending to be in love with Nightmare Moon, she stood up, placed the crown on her head, and said "Nightmare Moon? Ah never realized how incredibly beautiful you are." Discord and Nightmare Moon stared in shock as Discord's jaw dropped to the floor. Nightmare Moon smirked, and said "Mmmm. That's better." She pulled Discord's jaw up like a window shade, looked at Applejack, and said "Now, my little pony, tell me more about myself."

As Applejack and Nightmare Moon slowly walked towards each other, Applejack said "You're tall, dark, well-mannered." At the same time, AJ, Spike, and Rainbow Dash hid behind a wall. Discord spotted AJ as he said "AJ! AJ, little buddy!" "Shhhh!" AJ said. Discord gasped, and literally zipped his lip. He went up to AJ, unzipped his lip, and whispered out "AJ, I can't help you. I work for little miss nightmare now! What are you gonna do?" "Hey, Ah'm a street-pony, remember?" AJ asked as he rezipped Discord's lip. "Ah'll improvise." He slid on a huge pile of gold, and hid behind another huge pile of gold as Applejack "Cut little gaps between your sharp teeth." "Go on." Nightmare Moon said with a wild smirk on her face. "And your mane is so twisted." Applejack as AJ slowly made his way to the throne. "You've stolen mah heart." Trixie was sitting in her seat while eating grapes when she spotted AJ. She gasped, and said "NIGHTMARE-!" Spike quickly grabbed her, and kept her mouth shut. "And the street-pony?" Nightmare Moon asked in a sweet tone. "What street-pony?" Applejack asked. Spike and Trixie struggled so much that they accidently knocked the fruit bowl onto the ground, making a lot of noise. Nightmare Moon turned to the noise, but Applejack quickly turned her attention to her, and kissed her on her lips. AJ gasped in shock and dismay. Rainbow Dash and Discord stared in shock. Spike and Trixie stared in shock, and then became disgusted as they said "Yuck!"

The kiss lasted for a few seconds, and then, they finally stopped. "That was-." Nightmare Moon started to say, but then she spotted AJ's reflection Applejack's crown, and she turned to face him as she said "YOU!" AJ tried to get the statue, but Nightmare Moon pushed him away from it with her magic as she said "How many times do I have to kill you, colt?!" Applejack tried to attack Nightmare Moon, but she threw her to the ground. AJ charged at Nightmare Moon, and started to fight with her as he looked at Applejack, and said "Get the statue!" Applejack began running to it as Nightmare Moon said "NO!" She then threw AJ off of her, and used her magic to seal Applejack inside a very large hourglass as she said "Ah, ah, ah, princess! Your time is up!" AJ tackled Nightmare Moon, and looked at Applejack in shock as he said "Applejack!" Sand then started to fall through the hourglass as Trixie said "Oh, nice shot, Night-!" Spike interrupted her when he wacked her on the head with a fruit bowl. "OW!" She said. Spike made his way to the statue, but Nightmare Moon used her magic to turn him into an egg as she said "Don't toy with me!" "Spike!" AJ said.

Rainbow Dash came rushing in to get the statue. She grabbed it, but then Nightmare Moon turned her into a spinning tornado as she said "Things are unraveling fast now, colt!" "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Rainbow Dash yelled out as she started spinning, and dropped the statue. Nightmare Moon cackled, and said "Get the point?!" AJ ran for the statue, but Nightmare Moon made swords appear with her magic as she cackled. AJ tried to reach for the statue, but Nightmare Moon pulled it away from him as she cackled, and said "I'm just getting warmed up!" AJ grabbed one of the swords, and tried to charge at Nightmare Moon, but she used her magic to make a ring of fire, and blocked him. She cackled as AJ said "Are ya'll afraid to fight me yourself, you cowardly snake?!" Nightmare Moom emerged from the fire, and said "A snake, am I? Perhaps, you'd like to see how sssnake-like I can be!" She then used her magic to turn into a black and midnight blue colored cobra snake as AJ and Applejack looked up in horror. AJ then gulped in fear as the ring of fire disappeared. He quickly shook off the fear as he dodged Nightmare Moon's attack, She tried attacking him, but he dodged. She tried again, but he swung his sword at her, and she screamed in pain.

Discord turned into four cheerleaders wearing colorful sweaters with blue As on them, and they said "Rickem, rockem, rackem, rake! Stick that sword into that snake!" Nightmare Moon glared at Discord as she said "You stay out of thissss!" Discord turned back to normal as he waved a pennant with Nightmare Moon's cutie mark on it as he said "Nightmare Moon, Nightmare Moon, she's our mare. If she can't do it, GREAT!" AJ tried to make his way to the hourglass, but Nightmare Moon stopped him, and tripped him with her tail, making him lose his sword in the process. "AJ!" Applejack said as the sand in the hourglass were starting to fill up more and more. AJ jumped on a large gem, and slid across the room, grabbing his sword on his way. He turned a corner, and Nightmare Moon tried to follow, but she crashed through the wall, and hung outside the castle. AJ jumped down, and stabbed Nightmare Moon who screamed in pain. AJ jumped back into the castle, grabbed a large stick, and ran to the hourglass as he said "Applejack, hang on!" He tried to smash the glass, but Nightmare Moon caught him in her coils as she cackled, and said "You little fool! You thought you could defeat the most powerful being in all of Equestria!" "Squeeze him, Nightmare Moon." Trixie said with a grin. "Squeeze him like a-!" Discord slapped the back of Trixie's head as she said "OUCH!"

"Without Discord, colt, you're nothing!" Nightmare Moon said. AJ looked at Discord as he said "Discord." Then, an idea hit him as he muttered "Discord!" He looked up at Nightmare Moon as he said "Discord has more power then you'll ever have!" "WHAT?!" Nightmare Moon asked. "He gave you your power!" AJ said. "He can take it away!" "AJ, what are you doing?" Discord asked nervously. "Why are you bringing me into this?" "Face it, Nightmare Moon! You're still just second best!" AJ said. Nightmare Moon gasped, and said "You're right! His power does exceed my own!" She smirked at Discord as she said "But not for long." She slithered her way to Discord who chuckled nervously, and said "The colt is crazy. He's a little punch drunk. One too many hits with the snake." "Slave! I make my third wish! I wish to be an all-powerful spirit of chaos!" Nightmare Moon said. AJ looked down at Discord, and Applejack took a peek through the hourglass as the sand kept pouring down on her. Discord sighed, and said "All right, your wish is my command." He glared at AJ as he said "Way to go, AJ." AJ nodded, and Discord used his magic to turn Nightmare Moon into an alicorn covered in black smoke with a red horn, and brilliant scarlet eyes.

AJ was finally free from the coils, and the sand in the hourglass that Applejack was trapped in was full as Nightmare Moon said "Yes! Yes! The power!" AJ grabbed the stick, and broke the hourglass, freeing Applejack in the process. "The absolute power!" Nightmare Moon said as she bursted through the roof, and started unleashing all of her magic. "What have you done?!" Applejack asked. "Trust me!" AJ said as a black crystal was formed on the ground. "The universe is mine to command! To control!" Nightmare Moon said with glee. "Not so fast, Nightmare Moon!" AJ said. "Aren't you forgetting something?!" Nightmare Moon looked down on AJ as she said "Huh?" "Ya'll wanted to be a spirit of chaos, you got it!" The bindings appeared on Nightmare Moon as she said "WHAT?!" "And everything that goes with it!" AJ said as he held up the black crystal. Nightmare Moon started screaming as she started getting sucked into the crystal, and said "NO! NO!" Trixie started to panic as she said "I'm getting out of here!" She started running away, but her mistress grabbed her as she said "Come on, your the spirit of chaos! I don't want-!" "Phenomenal cosmic powers!" AJ said as Nightmare Moon and Trixie got sucked into the crystal. "Itty bitty living space." "AJ, you little genius you!" Discord said with a smile as he ruffled AJ's mane with his paw.

After Nightmare Moon and Trixie were sealed into the black crystal, Spike, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy turned back to normal, the castle was put back in its proper place, and the sun finally rose again. "Get your blasted hoof out of my face!" Nightmare Moon shouted from inside the crystal. "Oh, shut up, you moron!" Trixie said. "Don't tell me to shut up!" Nightmare Moon said. As the two argued with each other, AJ looked up at Discord who took the crystal from him, and said "Allow me." As if he was playing baseball, he wound up as he said "Ten thousand years in the Cave of Wonders ought to chill her out!" He flicked the crystal as Nightmare Moon and Trixie screamed, and they landed in the Cave of Wonders. Applejack walked up to AJ who looked at her, and sighed as he said "Applejack, Ah'm a might sorry that Ah lied to you about being a prince." "Ah know why you did." Applejack said. "Well, Ah guess...this...is goodbye?" AJ asked. Applejack grunted, and said "Oh, that stupid law! This isn't fair! Ah love you, sugarcube." Discord wiped a tear from his eye, and said "AJ, no problem. You've still got one wish left. Just say the word, and you're a prince again."

"But, Discord, what about your freedom?" AJ asked. Discord shrugged, and said "Hey, it's only an eternity of servitude. And besides, this is love! AJ, you're not gonna find another mare like her in a million years. Believe me, I know. I've looked." AJ sighed, and said "Applejack, Ah do love ya'll, but, Ah gotta stop pretending to be something Ah'm not." "Ah understand." Applejack said. AJ looked up at Discord, and said "Discord, Ah wish for your freedom." "One bona fide prince pedigree, coming up!" Discord said. "I-what?" AJ smiled, and said "Discord, you're free!" A rainbow shot out from the statue, and released Discord from his bindings. He looked at the statue in shock, chuckled lightly, and said "I'm free. I'm free." He gave the statue to AJ as he said "Quick, quick, wish for something outragous. Say, "I want the lake." Wish for the lake. Try that!" "Uh...Ah wish for the lake?" AJ asked. "NO WAY!" Discord said. He laughed hysterically, and bounced around like a pinball as he said "Oh, does that feel good! Oh! I'm free! I'm free at last!" He took out a suitcase, and started packing as he said "I'm hitting the road! I'm off to see the world! I'm-!" He stopped talking when he looked at AJ, and frowned. AJ chuckled a little as he gave out a small sad smile, and Discord looked down at him sadly. AJ took off his hat, and placed it above his heart as he said "Discord, Ah'm...Ah'm gonna miss ya'll." "Me too, AJ." Discord said as he sniffled a little, and AJ placed his hat back on his head. "No matter what anypony says, you'll always be a prince to me."

Applejack, Shining Armor, Fluttershy, and Spike all had tears in their eyes as they witnessed AJ and Discord giving each other a sad hug. Suddenly, they heard sniffling, and they looked up to see Rainbow Dash crying her eyes out. When she saw them looking at her, she quickly shook it off as she said "DARN IT! Now you guys got me acting all sappy!" Shining Armor chuckled a little, looked at AJ, and said "Anyway, AJ, you've certainly proven your worth as far as I'm concerned. It's that law that's the problem." "Pa?" Applejack asked. Shining Armor smiled, and said "Well, am I prince or am I prince? From this day forth, the princess shall marry whomever she deems worthy." Applejack smiled, ran over to AJ, and they shared a hug as she said "Him! Ah choose...Ah choose you, Applejack." AJ chuckled, and said "Call me AJ." Before they could kiss, Discord pulled them, Shining Armor, Spike, and Rainbow Dash into a hug as he said "Oh, all of you Come over here! Big group hug! Group hug! Oooh! Do you mind if I kiss the dragon?" He kissed Spike on the head, and coughed out a scale as he said "Ooh, scale!" "Gee, thanks." Spikes said. "Well, I can't do any more damage around this popsicle stand. I'm outta here!" Discord said as he started to take off. "Bye, bye, you two crazy lovebirds! Hey, Rainbow Dash, ciao! I'm history! No, I'm mythology! I don't care what I am! I'm free!" Later that night, as fireworks went off into the nightsky, AJ and Applejack sat on Rainbow Dash's cloud as AJ said "Ready for a whole new world and a whole new life?" "Ah'm ready, sugarcube!" Applejack said as they shared a kiss. AJ looked at Rainbow Dash as he said "Rainbow Dash, take us outta here!" "You got it, AJ!" Rainbow Dash said as she began pushing the cloud, and they took off on a whole new adventure together.
