Hey folks, JusSonic here to work on the next fanmake which is inspired by the film 'The Corpse Bride'....again. This is getting me excited so let's have fun, shall we?

My Little Pony Corpse Bride

Chapter 1: Dreary Day for a Wedding

It was a simple time in Equestria years ago which is about to change during a wedding . In a bedroom of a house, a pony is opening a book then using his mouth to take a quill pin which is near a picture of a colt next to a puppy.

The pony stallion uses the pen to draw on some paper and smiles once he's done his picture which is of a butterfly. The stallion in question is a brown coated stallion with a spiky like brown mane, green eyes, a long tail and a red collar. His cutie mark consists of three golden triangles…like the Triforce in the Legend of Zelda games. His name is Ben Mare.

"There, that should do it." Ben said with a soft smile. The pony loves drawing stuff; it's a hobby of his, he smiles at a glass with another butterfly inside, put the book down and look at the jar before opening the window up. Ben opens the glass to set the butterfly free into the outside world.

As the butterfly flew around through the city, a lot of ponies went around their usual lives. A stallion named Noteworthy gave a fish to a fish butcher while coughing. He was smoking a lot and it is affecting his health big time.

The butterfly meanwhile flew by two stallions talking to one another, the first one said, "Good morning."

"Same to you," The other stallion said with a slight nod.

It was during this time that another stallion came into town. He is a light gray coated unicorn with light brilliant arctic blue eyes, a light amber mane and tail and a compass rose for a cutie mark wearing a white suit. The dragon knew that it's Prince Blueblood.

Upon arrival, Blueblood heard an announcement, "Here ye, here ye, 10 minutes to go for Ben Mare's wedding rehearsal!" As the unicorn watches on, the butterfly flew near him, making him try to shoot it off.

Blueblood saw Noteworthy getting onto a carriage and rode off, the latter almost ran over a few ponies while coughing. A mare yells angrily after him, "Road pony!!!"

Noteworthy kept on going through the city until he stops outside Ben's house. The stallion notices and sighs, preparing himself. It's time for his upcoming wedding ...the truth be told, it is an pre-arranged one so Ben doesn't know who his wife is yet.

During this time, Ben's parents Jack Silver and Princess Celestia, the rulers of Equestria, came out of the house all dressed and ready. They begin to sing.

Jack: It's a beautiful day.

Celestia: It's a rather nice day.

Jack: A day for a glorious wedding.

Celestia: A rehearsal, my dear, to be perfectly clear.

Jack: A rehearsal for a glorious wedding.

Celestia: Assuming nothing happens that we don't really know,

Jack: That nothing unexpected interferes with the show.

Jack spots a puddle in front of his wife. He motions to Noteworthy who put his coat onto it so that his employer and the princess can step over the puddle with care.

Both:And that's why everything, every last little thing,
every single tiny microscopic little thing must go...

Jack frowns as he slaps off Noteworthy's fisherman's hat and removes the posters of the same ordeal.

Jack: According to plan,

Celestia: Our son will be married.

Jack: According to plan,

Celestia: Our family carried,

Both: We'll go right into to the heights of society...

Jack: To the costume balls,

Celestia: In the hallowed halls.

Jack: Rubbing elbows with the finest.

Of course, the truth be told, Jack and Celestia may seem like ponies who want their son to get married to get into society but they want him to find true love as they did with each other and get in closer with their subjects. The former pirate and his princess aren't those kinds of people. As a smirking Blueblood watches the scene, the song continues.

Celestia: Having crumpets with Her Highness.

Both: We'll be there, we'll be seen, having tea with the Queen.
We'll forget everything...that we've ever ever been.

The last part of course means that the couple wants to forget being not without friends much but with more. Jack tries to get onto the carriage but is having trouble doing so.

"Arrr, dang it; I'm caught!" Jack groans in annoyance as his coat is caught on the door of the carriage.

Celestia sighs as she and Noteworthy helps the stallion, "Honestly, I told you not to put that suit on today, Jack. Everytime you do, it's hard for us to get you into this."

"I know! But it's my best wedding on, Tia! I want to look best for our boy once he marries Twilight Sparkle! Wasn't she a student of yours if I recall correctly?"

"I do recall correctly. We haven't introduced her to our son yet but I can tell already that there is destiny for her."

"Speaking of which, where is Ben?" Jack asks as the group continues struggling. "We're going to be late!"

During this time at another house cross the way is the home of Ben's future wife. Her adopted parents Upper Crust and Jet Set watch the carriage through the window . Unlike Jack and Celestia, they don't share the idea of marrying through true love at all, just for fame and status quo.

The adopted parents groans as Jet Set comments, "Good grief, why must be go through this? If it weren't for the fact that it's the son of the princess and her husband that we're marrying off to," Upper Crust nods as she begins to sing now.

Upper Crust: It's a terrible day

Jet Set: Now don't be that way

Upper Crust: It's a terrible day for a wedding.

Jet Set: It's a sad, sad state of affairs we're in,

Upper Crust: That has led to this ominous wedding.

Jet Set: How could our family have come to this?

Both: To marry off our daughter to the noveaux-rich.

Upper Crust: They're so common,

Jet Set: So coarse.

Upper Crust: Oh, it couldn't be worse!

Jet Set: It couldn't be worse? I'm afraid I disagree.

Jet Set goes over to a vault inside and opens it to reveal...nothing inside. The truth be told, the family is getting close to being broke and being thrown out onto the streets. That is why they must agree to the wedding as per Celestia's wishes to avoid that. Jet Set and Upper Crust doesn't approve of Ben but they got to do this to save themselves.

It could be land-rich bankrupt aristocracy,
without a penny to their name...just like you...and me.

Upper Crush wipes a hoof on a line of the vault, glancing at the dust. The mare groans, "Oh dear."

The vault was quickly cleaned by a servant named Caramel who closes it quickly. Twilight's adopted parents can't bear to see this sight anymore. Their daughter, even if she wasn't their own, must be married.

Both: And that's why everything, every last little thing,
every single tiny microscopic little thing must go...

Two more servants named Horte Cuisine and Fireblaze are working on putting the latter onto the wall in a hallway were a lot of pictures of ponies are at.

Upper Crust: According to plan,

Jet Set: Our daughter will wed.

Upper Crust: According to plan,

Jet Set: Our family lead,

Both: From the depths of deepest poverty,

Upper Crust: To the noble realm,

Jet Set: Of our ancestors.

Jet Set and Upper Crust stops near a picture of a lovely unicorn, shaking their heads in disgust.

Both: And who'd have guessed in a million years that our daughter, with the face

Jet Set: of an otter in disgrace,

Both: Would provide our ticket to our rightful place?

Of course, to the adopted parents, she was a disgrace but in her bedroom where a servant is fixing up her corset. That is a different story. The mare herself is a violet unicorn with a black-purple mane and tail that had Pink stripes on it, purple eyes and a pink star marking on her flank. Her name is Twilight Sparkle, Jet Set and Upper Crust's adopted daughter ever since her real parents died when she was a filly.

As the servant continues working, Twilight in concern ask, "Golden Harvest? Tell me the truth. What if Ben and I...eep! Don't like each other?" The mare yelps because the servant tightened her corset a bit.

Twilight heard a scoff as she turns to see her adopted parents coming into the room. Jet Set remarks dryly, "I doubt love has anything to do with marriage."

"Right; why do you think your father and I even married one another in the first place?" Upper Crust remarks in agreement. "Do you think that we actually like each other?"

"Well, the princess told me that marriage is based on love." Twilight said in concern. "And you must love each other...a little..."

"Don't be ridiculous, of course not!"

"Right, we are only doing this marriage to get back to the top and your teacher's son is the best way to do so." Jet Set remarked, waving a hoof in dismissal. Twilight frowns a bit. Why did her teacher, the princess of Equestria, even made this prearranged marriage in the first place? Doesn't Celestia even know that the mare's adopted parents don't believe in true love?

"Now get those corsets laced properly. I can hear you speak without gasping." Upper Crust snaps as she heads off.

Back at Ben's house, Ben, dressed in a dashing suit, came into the carriage. Noteworthy signal the non-speaking horses to pull the carriage away as the family are on their way to Twilight's home.

"Ben, some foolish parents would say that you hooked a wined this time...but not me." Celestia said to Ben with a smile. "Twilight is one of my best students in the school and I can sense that she will be perfect for you to love."

"Right, just don't mess this up son and you should do fine." Jack said to Ben with a smile.

"I'm already trying not to, dad." Ben remarks with a groan of concern. "But shouldn't Twilight Sparkle be better off marrying a lord or someone?"

"Don't be silly, Ben, we are every bit as good as Twilight's family." Celestia giggles to Ben with a nod. "I can already tell that my student deserves more than that."

"Right, I always know that I deserved better than a pirate's life." Jack remarks, making his wife frown while nudging him a bit. "What?"

"Jack, we're supporting our son in this. We aren't doing this for ourselves."

"But I haven't spoken to Twilight just yet." Ben said to his parents in concern. How would he know what Twilight is like at all?

"At least we have that in our favor." Celestia remarks a bit, making her son frown at her. The alicorn just giggles, "Just kidding. I know you two will love each other."

Suddenly the trio heard coughing making Jack sighs a bit. He hits the top where Noteworthy was sitting at while smoking, snapping, "Noteworthy; Stop that blasted coughing at once!"

"Jack, I think Noteworthy's health is getting worst. We should get him to a hospital."

"Nonsense! The lad will recover. Not like smoking will kill somepone anyway!"

Back at the house, Horte was dusting while the adopted parents head downstairs. Upper Crust comments, "Marriage is a partnership; A little tit-for-tat."

As Upper Crust pat her husband on the head, Jet Set adds, "You'd think a lifetime watching us..." He then resumes the song.

Jet Set: might have taught her that.
Might have taught her that.

The parents resume their song as they head downstairs, preparing to meet their future in-laws, whatever the two like it or not.

Everything must be perfect

Upper Crust: Everything must be perfect

Both: Everything must be perfect, perfect,

As the song is close to ending, the parents head to the door. Outside, Ben and his family arrived while doing the same thing. The stallion looks a bit embarrassed as his mother fix him up.

Four: That's why everything, every last little thing,
every single tiny microscopic little thing must go...According to plan!

Once the song is over, Jack rang the doorbell. Horte opens the door to let Celestia and Jack into the room. The adopted parents glance at the princess who smiles at them in amusement. "I love the inside of your place; such grandeur, such impeccable taste; Beautiful, correct?"

"Yes, yes, of course it is." Horte remarks, rolling his eyes while closing the door.

"I will be honest; this place is big but not as big as our place, Jack. A bit shabby really, right?"

"Celly, come on." Jack said to Celestia while nudging his wife a bit. "If we want our son to meet his true love like you claimed her to be, we can't mess this up."

Horte clears his throat and came between the parents, saying in a bored tone of voice, "Lord Set and Lady Crust...Princess Celestia and Lord Silver."

"Oh, there you are, Twilight." Celestia giggles. Of course, she is actually talking to Upper Crust who looks alarmed by this. "I must say, you don't look a day over 20 since I saw you last. Youth spell, right?" Jack nudges her a bit, making the princess giggle, "Hee hee; Just kidding, Upper Crust. I know it's you. I like to joke."

"Smile, honey, smile," Upper Crust said with a bit while Jet Set tries his best to smile though in a very weird and freaky like way. The joke may not be funny to the adopted parents but they got to go through with it for this marriage to work.

"Well, what a pleasure, welcome to our home, Princess and Lord." Jet Set said with an uneasy smile to the rulers.

"Thank you." Jack said with a slight chuckle.

"If you follow us, we will be having tea in the west drawing room." Upper Crust said as she and Jet Set led Ben and his parents towards the direction of the mentioned room. As they pass by a piano, Upper Crust adds, "Come this way, it's just through here."

"I love what you've done with the place. Tell me who your decorator is." Celestia said, smiling at the inside of the mansion.

"Nice tiles, the drapes are a shame of course." Jack remarks, glancing at the drapes in a room.

"Please don't be offended by what Jack said, my husband can say foolish things."

"Well, ignore Tia if she says anything embarrassing as well."

The lovers look at each other then laugh a bit. Jet Set chuckles a bit while saying, "Yes, it's usually best. I decorate this place myself by hoof and magic of course."

As both set of parents leave the room, Ben remains behind near the piano. The stallion pauses as he felt his fingers near a piano key. He saw his parents, Jet Set and Upper Crust leaving the room before closing the door behind themselves; Ben pauses and play a bit on the piano; May as well play a bit while waiting for his parents to do their tea.

Ben plays a bit on the piano then sit down. The stallion plays wonderfully for someone who is preparing for his wedding. He didn't know it but his music is heard upstairs in Twilight's bedroom. The unicorn was putting on a certain dress made for the Grand Galloping Gala when she heard the said music, gasping in amazement.

"Who is that?" Twilight ask curiously. That music sounds wonderful.

Twilight came out of the bedroom and head downstairs to see who's making that wonderful music. The mare soon found the one responsible playing the piano: Ben. She came downstairs and smiles as he continues playing. The unicorn has never seen him before so this must be the same Ben Mare that her parents and her teacher Celestia spoke of.

Ben soon notice her then yelps in surprise as he jumps off the seat, causing it to fell over and almost knocking over a vase that is on the piano. The stallion said nervously, "Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to..." This must be Twilight Sparkle, his future wife!

"It's okay. You play wonderfully." Twilight said to Ben with a smile.

"I do apologize, Miss Sparkle. How rude of me to...ahem, excuse me..." Ben chuckles sheepishly as he lifts the seat back into place.

"My mother...at least my adopted one never lets me near the piano. I can sing but she insists that music is improper for a young lady. Too passionate that woman always says."

Twilight smiles as she begins to play the piano with her magic. Ben looks on in amazement and awe. The mare is wonderful at the piano for a mare whose adopted mother never let him near the piano at all. He can't imagine why.

Once Twilight is done playing, Ben spoke up, "You play pretty well, Miss Sparkle."

"Please Mr. Mare, it's just Twilight." Twilight said to Ben. The two future married couple look at each other, shyly grinning to one another. The two just met and already Twilight and Ben acted like they knew each other already; Amazing.

"Sorry. You play pretty well, Twilight. Please call me Ben. "

"Okay, Ben."

Ben looks a bit nervous as he continues, "Well, as you know, tomorrow, we are going to be m-m-m..."

"Married." Twilight said with a nod. She can tell that Ben is nervous about getting married as well as the betrothal. Deep down, the unicorn is nervous too. Would the wedding thing ever work out?

"Right, m-m-married...yeah."

"You know, ever since I was a filly, I always dreamt of my wedding day. I always hope to meet my special somepony that I would fall deeply in love with, to spend the rest of my life with; Hee hee; Silly, right?"

"Yeah, silly...wait, hang on. No, not at all; No," Ben said, insisting that there isn't anything silly about marrying for true love at all. It's perfect. The stallion leans a bit but he ends up knocking the vase over, sending some water right onto the piano, "Oops; Sorry, my bad."

Twilight sighs a bit as she and Ben look at each other. The mare uses her magic to get the flowers that were in the vase and gave them to the stallion. The two blush a bit. For the first time ever, it appears that there is true love between the two lovers...

"What impropriety is this?" An angry voice demands. The couple yelps as they saw Upper Crust looking into the room. "You two shouldn't be alone together! Right, it is one minute before the wedding and you are doing it already! You aren't even at the rehearsal and Sir Spell Nexus is waiting! Come on!"

Upper Crust leaves the room. Ben and Twilight sighs as they follow her to the rehearsal; Typical of the mare's 'mother' to ruin a romantic moment.

Author's note
So Twilight and Ben has finally met and true love develops. Things will be perfect, right? Wrong because in the next chapter, Ben accidentally messed up the rehearsal, making a fool of himself in front of his parents, Twilight and his future in-laws. And as he tries to learn his vows, things got worse when he unknowingly brought a corpse to life! Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 2: A Grave Mistake

Ben looks more nervous than before. He and Twilight are preparing for rehearsal 3 hours later in the parlor room...and the stallion is having trouble, much to the annoyance of Sir Spell Nexus, the headmaster of Twilight's school and the one in charge of the wedding.

"From the beginning Master Mare, again," Nexus said sternly as he reads from his book. "'With this hoof, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your win. With this candle, I will light your way in darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine'." Once the unicorn is done, he glares at Ben who is nervously holding the candle. "Now then, let's do this again and try to do it right this time."

"Right, right...with this candle..." Ben said as he shows the candle. The stallion leans in hopes to light it up but to his annoyance, nothing happen. "This candle..." Ben tries once more but the candle still won't light up. What gives, "This candle?"

Try as he might, the candle refuse to light up. Celestia looks worried as she spoke up, "Perhaps I should go up there and light the candle for him. No one would blame him if he couldn't do it."

"Celestia, don't get aflutter." Jack said to Celestia with a frown. "Our son must do it on his own or he will never be ready for his own wedding!"

Ben nervously looks to his parents then towards Jet Set and Upper Crust who glares at him. The stallion is messing things up here. With a chuckle, Ben saw an impatient Nexus clearing his throat. He then saw his candle being lit while standing up. That should work.

"With this candle..." Ben begins to say with a chuckle. Unfortunately, to the others' frustration, the stallion ends up blowing the candle out by accident.

"Ugh! Never mind, continue!" Nexus exclaims impatiently. They will get back to the candle part later, now for the next one of the vow!

Just then the doorbell is heard ringing, much to everyone's surprise and/or annoyance. Who could that be? Jet Set orders, "Horte, get the door." The butler sighs in annoyance as he heads out to see the new arrival.

"Ahem, let's pick up at the candle part."

Just then Horte came into the room, looking at a card that reads, "A Prince Blueblood, sir."

Celestia, Jack and Ben looks surprised as Blueblood came into the room. Once Horte have the card to his employers and leaves them, the white unicorn smiles while saying, "I haven't a head for dates. I know I am a day early for the ceremony, but even I can't wait for family weddings."

"Uh, is he from your side of the family?" Upper Crust ask Jet Set in confusion while looking at the card.

"How should I know?" Jet Set asks his wife with a frown. "Do I look like a family tree?"

"More like a dry mummy." Caramel jokes a bit while laughing. He notices Jet Set glaring at him. "What?"

"He's my family." Celestia sighs in irritation while turning to Blueblood, "Hello, nephew. What are you doing here?"

"I've heard that my cousin is getting married and couldn't resist making an appearance." Blueblood chuckles a bit while glancing to the nervous Ben. "I sure hope he doesn't blow it. The Herd forbids what union would come at this mess."

"Horte, get a seat for Prince Blueblood!" Upper Crust orders Horte who nods and get an empty seat for Blueblood which he sat in with a satisfying smile.

"Well, carry on then!"

Ben is more nervous now; his cousin is here and is going to make things difficult for him than ever. Blueblood is going to be so thrilled to see the Earth pony mess up his wedding vows and in front of his future in-laws too!

"Ahem, let's try again, Master Mare." Nexus said sternly. Ben nods as Twilight uses her magic to light her future husband's candle for him.

"Right, yes, sir, certainly," Ben said while clearing his throat, smiling to Twilight. He just need some confidence and not mess this up; Simple, right?

"Right."

"Right, oh, right!" Ben realizes that he is holding the candle with his right hoof. Quickly, the stallion switches to put it in the left hoof, showing his right one now bare. "With this..."

"Hoof."

"With this hoof..." Ben said as he takes Twilight by the hoof. The stallion can do this. The two make their way to the table as he continues, "I...with..."

Suddenly the two bumps into the table by mistake. Nexus annoyed snaps, "It's three steps, three! Do you even know how to count? Do you wish to be married or not, Master Mare?!"

"No, no!"

"Wait, you do not?" Twilight ask in concern, fearing that the one that she is heading feelings for may not want to marry her. Blueblood smirks devilishly as he watch his cousin make a fool out of himself.

"No, that isn't what I meant!" Ben exclaims nervously, fearing that he has upset Twilight. "I meant no, I do not not wish to be married. Of course, I mean I want so much to..." The future groom yelps in pain as Nexus his him on the head hard.

"Pay attention!" Dooku snaps sternly to Ben, his patience is reaching its limit. "You do remember to bring the ring, correct?"

"The ring? Yes, of course."

Ben took the ring from his parent, showing it to Twilight who smiles a bit. Jack smiles to Celestia while winking. Looks like things are going to turn out fine after all...

That is until Ben trips and accidentally drops the ring, making Twilight gasps in alarm. Dooku slaps himself on the forehead while snapping, "Dropping the ring; How foalish!"

"Oh no, Ben dropped the ring!" Celestia gasps in worry as her son chases the ring. It was an accident but even a slipup like that could mess up the simple of weddings!

"It's very obvious that this colt doesn't wish to be married at all!"

"How disgraceful," Upper Crust exclaims in disgust and annoyance. What kind of future in-law would she have that doesn't wish to be married or make dumb mistakes like that?

Ben quickly continues chasing the ring, going under Upper Crust's sksrt, making her gasp in alarm. The stallion grabs the ring from the ‘ugly place’ and shows the ring safe and sound, saying eagerly, "Excuse me...got it..."

Unfortunately, in the progress of getting the ring, his candle accidentally set Upper Crust's skirt on fire, causing her to scream in terror. Ben looks startled by what he just did.

"Out of the way, you idiot," Jet Set scowls as he push Ben out of the way in annoyance.

"Oh now, oh my; we should do something, there's a mare on fire! Help, emergency!" Celestia exclaims in alarm upon seeing Upper Crust on fire. The alicorn uses her magic in hopes to fan the flames out quickly. "Sorry, I hope it doesn't stain."

"Stop fanning, you fool!" Upper Crust exclaims angrily to Celestia while shoving her. The alicorn princess's attempt isn't helping at all! "Use water magic!"

"I can't. We would be going against the script here!"

Nexus close his book and groans in irritation by the madness that is happening right now. Jack calls out quickly, "Get a bucket, someone get a bucket!"

"Yes, yes, of course!" Celestia exclaims in concern. "I'm on my way, oh dear."

Of course before Celestia would head off to get a bucket, Blueblood roll his eyes before using his own magic to pour a goblet of wine right onto Upper Crust's dress, putting the fire out in time. With a smirk, the prince tosses the goblet to Horte who grabbed it.

"Amazing, aren't I?" Blueblood assk in satisfaction for his timely save.

"I would've done it myself, Blueblood." Celestia sighs to her nephew in annoyance.

"Yes, but we know you wouldn't make it back in time anyway and sticking to the script? Tsk, tsk!"

Nexus has had enough. In anger, he push every pony aside while shouting, "Enough! I cannot allow this marriage to take place until he is properly prepared!" The male unicorn glares to the frightened Ben before pointing a hoof. "Young colt, learn your vows...and I don't want to see you in front of me again until you do, understand?"

Ben is frightened by the upset and worried looks that every pony, minus Twilight, are giving him. Quickly he opens the door and rush out of the room. Poor Twilight is worried for him. He didn't mean to mess up, the poor colt was nervous.

"Well, he's quite a catch, isn't he?" Blueblood remark in amusement making Twilight sighs a bit.

Ben sat on a bridge looking down in sadness while he look at the flowers that Twilight gave him earlier. He went and ruined the entire wedding rehearsal while making a fool out of himself in front of his parents, his future in-laws and worst Twilight. Oh, she must not want to be anywhere near him at all after this!

"Oh, Twilight; She must think I am quite a fool." Ben sighs in sadness. "Can this day get any worse?"

Unfortunately while Ben put the flower in his pocket, his question was answered the hard way as he saw a mare named Razzaroo calls out, "Hear ye and hear me! The rehearsal is in ruins as Mare who isn't a mare cause chaos! The son of Celestia fiancée could be canned! The Sets are fired due to Mare disaster ruining the rehearsal!"

Ben groans in depression, he has to say it! The stallion heads to the forest to do so thinking. While the pony continues onward, he looks a bit down. Ben got to get his vows right. They can't be so difficult; the vows can work if Ben practice them hard enough.

"My vows can't be all that difficult, right? They are simple and easy to do." Ben mumbles a bit. The stallion looks at his hoof as he begins to practice. "With this hoof, I will take your win. No, no, that won't work." He shakes his head and continues onward, trying again. "With this hoof...I will cup your...gah, no, no!"

Ben heads deeper into the forest, he is doing his best to get his vows right. The stallion wants so much to be with Twilight but if he wants to do so without failure, Ben must do so without messing up again. His parents and Twilight are counting on him.

Stopping near a tree with crows hanging in the branches, Ben tries once more while saying, "With this...with this candle, I will...uh...I will set your mother on fire!" Upon realizing what he just said, the stallion slaps his own forehead then sighs while sitting on the ground. "Oh, this is hopeless."

Ben may as well give up, he and Twilight are never meant to be. But then the stallion took out the flower along with the ring. Ben pauses and picks the former up, sniffing it. He then looks determined. No, Twilight would have faith that he will never give up and will succeed. Ben loves her and won't give up all because of one nasty incident. No matter what, the son of Princess Celestia will get his vows right!

After pocketing the flower, Ben spoke, "With this hoof, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine." The pony flips the ring a bit, snatching it from the ring. Looks like he has done it; Ben looks at a branch of a tree and take it, preventing that the arm is Upper Crust's. "Ah, Mrs. Crust. You look beautiful this evening."

Ben chuckles and leans near a stump, pretending that it's Jet Set and lisening. He ask, "What did you say, Mr. Set? Call you 'dad'? Well, if you insist." The stallion broke a piece of the branch and holds it as if the branch itself is a candle that Ben just lit. He is getting into this now. "With this candle, I will light your way in darkness."

Ben looks at the ring, continuing, "With this ring..." He spot a branch of the tree that looks like a hand and smile. "I ask you to be mine."

Ben put the ring on the branch and smiles. He has done it, the stallion has done his vows right! Nothing can go wrong...but Ben then felt the wind blowing as a crow is crowing. He looks concerned while seeing more crows around the place. This cannot be good...right?

"Okay, I guess I'm done." Ben said with a slow nod. "Now..."

Without warning, the branch grabs Ben by the hoof dragging him down. The Earth pony yelps and groans while struggling to get himself free. Ben succeeded before landing on some ice nearby. As he groans, the stallion lifts up his upper foreleg...and got a fright of his life!

The branch that grabbed Ben's arm is actually a zombie unicorn foreleg clenching onto him. The Earth pony screams before tossing it to the ground. Just then, Ben heard rumbling and saw something to his horror coming out of the ground, clenching to the snow while preparing to come out as if being summoned.

"Oh crud," Ben exclaims in horror. What did he just do?!

Soon Ben saw some sort of zombie bride in a wedding dress, veil and all, coming out of the ground and spots him. She removes the veil revealing herself to be a purple mane light azure grey unicorn with light blue eyes and three diamonds on her flank. What's noticeable was pieces of her were bones. Her name is Rarity.

"I do, darling." Rarity said gently.

Ben screams in terror as he scurries a bit then got up and makes a gallop for it from the corpse trying to reach for him. The foreleg that broke off returns to Rarity who picks it up and place the part back on herself; She got a husband to be with.

Ben kept on running, tripping and falling to the ground before hitting a tree. As he recovers, the stallion saw Rarity coming closer to him.

"Gah; Oh horsefeathers, mom would never believe this!" Ben exclaims frantically as he is backed to a grave with Rarity reaching for him. "No, mom would believe this. My dad won't!"

Ben quickly runs once more but collides into a tree, making him clench his eye a bit. Despite being dizzy, the stallion saw the corpse bride coming to him, making Ben...run into another tree. What is it with him crashing into trees today?

Ben recovers long enough to continue trying to make a break for it but he slips right on the icy rivers. Upon seeing Rarity, the freaked out groom quickly makes his way to the other side. Upon making it, with the white unicorn still in pursuit, he kept on running while going through some bushes which rips off a piece of his jacket.

Ben yelps as some crows flew over him, making him duck. This night has become crazy! The stallion stops after a while and looks back, sighing in relief, "Phew. I think I lost her. Imagine what would happen if that thing were to catch me..."

Ben however turns around and saw Rarity in front of him, giving him a warm lovingly smile. The stallion gasps in fear as the unicorn come closer to him. As she leans over, Rarity said, "You may kiss the bride."

The crows surround the two as they kiss, though Ben did so unwillingly. All went black...

Hoo boy; Ben went and got married to a dead unicorn; Freaky, eh? In the next chapter, Ben himself finds himself in the underworld where he meets the undead and learns the story of Rarity from dead singer/pony party Pinkie Pie. And what will happen when his relatives find out? Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 3: Rarity's Story

Ben groans as he open his eyes a while later. Where is he? The stallion slowly recovered as he saw something standing above him in concern. Its Rarity...and a few corpses and monsters! Of course, at first, he didn't react.

"A new arrival," A corpse named Mr. Waddle spoke in concern.

"Oh my, my darling must've fainted." Rarity giggles a bit. Ben groans as the unicorn helps him up a bit. "Are you all right, darling?"

"What, gah!" Ben yelps in surprise and alarm upon seeing the undead in front of him. He remembers what happened now. "What happened?"

"Oh goodness, it appears that we got ourselves a breather!" Mr. Waddle exclaims in surprise and amazement. There hadn't barely been any living ponies down here before.

A zombie unicorn named Lyra Heartstrings push Mr. Waddle aside, grinning excitedly while saying, "Coool! Does he have a dead brother?"

A dead colt named Pipsqueak pokes Ben, saying, "He's still soft."

Ben yelps as he was frightened while going back to the bar stand. A zombie pony named Slugger smiles while saying, "Yeah, a toast for the happy couple!"

Slugger clangs his mug with rotten apple cider with his pals Salty and Tex before the first stallion drank his stuff. Of course, some of it pours out with Tex eagerly taking some and drinking it, despite the rotten apple cider coming out of a hole from his own chest.

"To the newlyweds," Tex said with a Southern American accent.

"Wait newlyweds?!" Ben yelps in shock. He remembers his wedding vow rehearsal...and how he somehow summoned Rarity!

"Yes, you remember? In the woods, you said your vows so perfectly." Rarity giggles while showing the ring on her hoof. Ben looks horrified. He has unknowingly wedded a dead unicorn!

"I did? Oh yeah...I did, didn't I?" Ben groans in dazement. He hits his head on a table like mad trying to wake himself up. This has to be a bad dream, it has got to be! "Wake up, Ben! Come on, wake up, you idiot!"

"Coming through, hey," A voice spoke up. Ben looks up and yelps as he saw a head on spider legs called Mr. Carrot Cake crawling over to a table, smiling to him. "Hey, I am Mr. Carrot Cake, your head waiter." The living stallion gasps in fear. "I will create your wedding feast."

Suddenly Ben yelps as one of Rarity's eyes popped out. A rotten dead donkey named Bray came out, smiling while saying, "A wedding feast! I'm hungry as a donkey!"

Ben ends up screaming in fear. Rarity quickly cover he eyes socket to block Bray as she say sheepishly, "Small donkeys. They can be pests."

"Wow, you got lucky to have her." A voice said, making Ben turn to see who spoke. It is an undead baby light purple with a light chartreuse dragon with moderate sap green scales, a greenish gray underbelly and light lime ears and chartreuse green eyes. His name is Spike the Dragon. "Guys would kill to get a filly like her...too bad I can't because..."

Ben screams in alarm as he backs away, colliding into some ponies in fear while yelling, "Back, back!" The stallion trips, much to the concern of mostly everyone in room. As Ben got back up, he grabs a sword...which is stuck right in Spike which causes him to be used as well. "I got a...uh...I got a lizard!"

"Dragon, okay? Not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing." Spike snaps as he sticks his tongue out at Ben. "Anyway, wouldn't you used Slugger for the short guy?"

"He's too big! Anyway, I'm not scared to use him! Now I want questions now!"

"Uh, don't you mean 'answers'?" Salty corrects Ben in concern.

"Right, answers, thanks." Ben said while sweating a bit. "I want answers as to what's going on here, where am I and who are you creatures?!"

"You're in the Underworld, land of the dead and we're the undead." Spike explains to Ben with a shrug. "And what's going on here?" Well..."

"Spike, please." Rarity interrupts Spike gently before smiling lovingly to Ben. "It's kind of a long story."

"What a super duper drastic story it is!" Someone is heard giggling. Everyone turns to see a spotlight on a grinning smiling zombie pink pony, "Hiya, name's Pinkie Pie, at your service. This story is one of romance, passion...as well as murder most foul. Kinda scary but you're in the underworld!"

"Oh yes, this is going to be good." Tex said with an amusing smile on his face to Ben who yelps and drops Spike in the progress.

Spike got back up, explaining, "I've heard this story many times before. It brings tears to my eyes each time and very lovely for a lovely creature." The baby Dragon sighs lovingly to Rarity, much to Ben's notice.

"Hit it boys!" Pinkie calls back. Music begins to play as the pink pony bounces near some skeletons whose uses their skulls to be tapped like on a xylophone. Another skeleton plays on a piano as Pinkie begins to sing.

Pinkie: Hey, give me a listen
You corpses of cheer
At least those of you
Who still got an ear
I’ll tell you a story
Make a skeleton cry
Of our own jubilisciously Corpse Bride

We all pass away

As the song continues, a worried Ben tries to sneak out, only for Tex to pull him back in.

Pinkie smiled, looking at Rarity as she continues her song.

Pinkie: Well our filly was a beauty
Known for miles around

Rarity got onto the stage, giving a smile that made Spike sigh lovingly. As Pinkie continues, we see a silhouette of the white unicorn with another unicorn, male, shown from the shadows.

When a mysterious stranger came into town
He was plenty good lookin'
But down on his cash
And our poor little foaly
She fell hard and fast
When her daddy said no
She just couldn’t cope
So our lovers came up with a plan to elope

Ben gulps a bit, mostly because the monsters and corpses force him to dance with them. When will this nightmare end?!

Pinkie sat on the table. She unknowingly kick the tray that is holding Mr. Cake's head before the said head roll down from her shoulder, right onto the table. Pinkie scats a bit while the song goes on.

The skeletons dance a bit as Pinkie said, "That's right!" One of the dead ones turn into a bass while another plays him like one, "Oh yeah, right! Come on, boys, pick it up; Hee hee hee!"

"This is cool!" Spike exclaims as he watch a skeleton playing the bony saxophone with Pinkie playing a bony xylophone.

"Right, like it," Pinkie giggles to a skeleton op. "All right, Comet Tail, take it!"

The mentioned stallion skeleton took off his bottom half and plays it like a guitar while another skeleton plays the trombone. Pinkie grins while exclaiming, "Yeah; Neato!"

Ben looks nervous as he is forced onto the dance floor. Pinkie goes up to him while dancing with her, though the stallion did so unwillingly. The skeletons then remove their own heads, placing it on one another's body until the last head was kicked away, landing right onto a skeleton with no head.

"Nice!" Pinkie giggles. Ben gasps as he saw two skeletons dancing with him. The stallion was forced to watch the pink pony sing once more.

Pinkie: Yeah, so they conjured up a plan to meet late at night
Told not a soul, kept the whole thing tight

Pinkie held a part of Rarity's dress over her while smiling madly. Spike laughs a bit.

Now her mother’s wedding dress fit like a glove
We don’t need much we’re already in love
Except for a few things, or so I am told
That the family jewels and the satchel of gold

We see Rarity waiting for her lover near a tree, waiting so anxiously.

Then next to the graveyard by the old oak tree
On a dark foggy night at a quarter to three

She was ready to go
But where was he!?

"And then?" Tex asks Psycho curiously.

"She waited." Pinkie said with a nod.

"And then?" Tex asks again with Lyra and Spike joining in.

"There in the shadows, was it the stallions?!"

"And then?!"

Pinkie looks concerned as she continues, "Her little heart beat so loud."

"And then?" The first two asks anxiously, following by Mr. Cake. We see a shadow silhouette of an evil figure approaching the shadowed unicorn...who screams before all went black, much to Ben's shock and horror.

"And then filly everything went black."

Ben looks stunned. Whoever Rarity's former lover was, he must've killed her...probably for her money! The spotlight returns to Pinkie who is on top of the piano while the pink one sings once more.

Now when she opened her eyes
She was dead as dust
Her jewels were missing
And her heart was bust
So she made a vow right under that tree
That she’d wait for her true love to come set her free

Pinkie held Ben and point to Rarity who smile and awaits his hoof. The stallion looks alarmed as he was shoved to her, causing Ben to dance with her. Looks like his wedding vow rehearsal was mistaken for proposing to her...and he succeeded in getting married to a dead mare!

Always waiting for someone to ask for her hoof
When out of the blue comes this groovy young stallion too
Who vows forever to be by her side
And that’s the story of our Corpse Bride

Rarity's hoof broke off, causing Ben to land in some of the monsters' arms. As he yelps and make the upper foreleg let him go, he danced a bit. During the whole thing, he back away and run off quickly, much to Spike's notice before the baby Dragon left secretly.

Once the song is done, Rarity saw Ben leaving, much to her confusion. Didn't her new husband want to stay with her? She quickly follows him.

"Yeah," Pinkie giggles a bit with a smile.

Noteworthy coughs a bit like crazy before smoking his pipe can. Twilight sighs as she looks out a window of her home. It has been a while and Ben is still missing. Where could he be?

"Twilight, get away from that window." Upper Crust orders Twilight, making her sigh and come back to her adopted parents, Jack and the princess.

Just then a red and blue parrot flies in and lands on a counter. Jack recognizing him ask in surprise, "Mr. Loudmouth? What are ye doing here?"

"Rawk! I just came along to see Ben and Twilight's wedding. Is Ben around here?" Loudmouth asks Jack eagerly.

"That son of his messed up the wedding rehearsal," Jet Set explains to the parrot with a frown. "We don't know where he is, the fool has gone missing."

"I am sure that my son will come back. Ben is terrified of the dark." Celestia explains gently to Twilight and her parents. "When he was a colt, Ben would wet his combinations regularly whenever he has a wild dream. Right, Jack?"

"Arrr, don't be reminding me." Jack groans in annoyance. "You don't want to know how many PJs that my boy has to go through that time."

Just then the group heard knocking at the door, causing Jet Set to respond, "Enter!"

The door opens while Caramel came into the room, saying, "Princess? Your nephew is here."

"Very well, let him enter." Celestia sighs a bit. Fireblaze comes in with Blueblood following with a smile on his face.

"Prince Blueblood. I hope the room is to your liking." Upper Crust said to Blueblood with a smile. While the prince may be Celestia's nephew, he doesn't prefer to stay at her home for various reasons.

"Yes, thank you. You were indeed a most gracious hostess...unlike my mother." Blueblood remarks while nodding. Celestia rolls his eye of course. Her nephew and his mother never seem to get along.

Suddenly Loudmouth spoke out to Blueblood, "Ugly Blueblood."

"Huh?"

"Ugly, fat Blueblood."

"I'm not that fat...am I?" Blueblood protests, feeling shocked and offended by what Loudmouth just told him. He looks at himself in the mirror....yep, he's fat. "You never lie, do you, Mr. Loudmouth?"

"Never," Loudmouth answers with a chuckle.

"Ahem, that 'unpleasantness' aside, sadly it pains me to be the bearer of bad news." Blueblood said with a shrug. Twilight and the others looks confused. What is Blueblood talking about? The prince motions a hoof as an announcer named Dr. Hooves came in. "Dr. Hooves, mind repeating tonight's headline for everypony?"

Dr. Hooves clears his throat, ringing a bell before shouting, "Hear ye and hear ye. Ben Mare was seen on this night on the bridge in the forelegs of a mystery mare! The purple haired temptress and Master Mare has slipped away into the night; all right, for the weather. Scattered showers..."

"All right, that will be all!"

Dr. Hooves nods as he leaves. Twilight, Jack, Celestia, and the adopted parents were shocked to hear this announcement. Ben ran off with another mare?! The purple unicorn and Ben's parents refuse to believe this!

"Mystery mare; what other mare does he know?" Celestia ask in disbelief. As far as she knows, Ben doesn't know any other mares outside of his mother and Twilight!

"Or what you are led to believe." Blueblood remarks in amusement as he elaves. "If you need my assistance in anyway, you know what to do."

As the doors are closed, Twilight, Jack and Celestia looks worried. This cannot be true, Dr. Hooves must be wrong! After all, there isn't any other mare for Ben besides Twilight!

"Rawk; What; Ben's gone?" Loudmouth gasps in shock and worry. "Don't worry Celestia, and Captain Jack. I'll find him....no doubt about it. "

"Be careful, Loudmouth." Celestia said to Loudmouth gently.

"Don't worry, Celestia. You can count on me; Mister Loudmouth....to the rescue!"

Loudmouth flies out of the window to look for Ben. A worried Upper Crust spoke, "Good heavens! Jet, what should we do?" With Ben gone, that means her and Jet's chance to get back to the top are ruined!

"That does it, fetch me my gun!" Jet Set exclaims furiously. He is going to find Ben and shoot him down for this!

"Celly, do something." Jack said in worry, fearing for his son's safely.

As Horte came in with Jet Set's gun, Celestia uses her magic to grab it. She said, "Jet Set, calm down. The town crier must have a slow news day. You know how it is, there is always something to cry about."

"Well, regardless, we are still one groom short for the wedding tomorrow." Jet Set remarked with an angry frown, "And the financial implications?!"

"It must be a scandalous embarrassment to everypony!" Upper Crust exclaims in disgust at what she believed Ben to be doing.

"Upper Crust, Ben knows how important honor is to our family. He would never disgrace his family by running off with a mare that our son doesn't know. I know of the connection between him and Twilight, I can sense it." Celestia insists calmly to the upset Upper Crust. "Give us a chance to find him; At least until dawn."

"Oh very well. Until dawn."

Twilight sighs sadly in sadness while mumbling, "Ben." What has happened to him?

Well, Rarity's story is revealed and how will get out of the mess that he finds himself into? In the next chapter, as Ben tries to get away from his 'wife', the unicorn gives him a gift of his dead dog Winona. Then the stallion got an idea on returning to the surface with the help of the Moochick with Spike coming along with him and Rarity. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 4: Return to the Surface

Rarity looks around the city in the Underworld, looking puzzled. Where is her new husband? Doesn't he wish to be with her for all afterlife? The unicorn calls out, "Ben, darling! Come out, where are you?"

"If you want my opinion, I say your colt-friend is kinda jumpy." Bray remarks in Rarity's head, much to her annoyance.

"Ahem, he isn't my colt-friend, Ben is my husband. Ben! Where have you gone off to, darling?"

Just then, Rarity's eye pops out. Bray looks around while speaking, "Say, how about if it makes you feel better, I will keep an eye out for him? Make things better."

Rarity couldn't argue. As she and Bray looks around, they fail to see Ben peeking out from his hiding place, in hopes to avoid being seen. The stallion got to get out of this mad place and back to the land of the living.

"Benny?" Rarity asks in concern. Ben nods as he snuck out of his hiding place, making his escape. However, he didn't go unnoticed as a certain donkey spots him sneaking off.

"Hey, there he goes, there's the living pony! He's making a break for it!" Bray calls out to Rarity. Ben, realizing that he has been seen, yelps and runs off in alarm, "Quick, after him!" Rarity nods as she puts her eye back on and follows her new husband.

"Ben."

Ben gallops off quickly as fast as he can. Rarity meanwhile stops near some parts of bodies, looking around to see where her 'love' has gone off to. She then saw a corpse hoof pointing to which way Ben went.

"Thanks." Rarity said with a nod as she continues chasing Ben who runs off and stops near a coffin area. The Earth pony sweats a bit, especially when he hears his 'bride' calling for him. "Ben! Where are you? Come back!" Thinking quickly, Ben quickly jumps into a coffin and pretends to be a dead person. Sure enough, his ruse works as Rarity goes pass him, "Ben; Oh dear, where have you gone?"

Once Rarity is gone, Ben opens his eyes and sighs in relief. She's gone, what now? Just then, then the pony yelps as an Earth pony in a spider-body named Photo Finish appear, asking in a German like voice, "Married? I am a widow, ja," Ben's response; He screams like a coward and rush off, hitting Photo on his way out, "Gah; Living are so rude! Hey, Rarity! Your lover went zat away!"

Upon hearing Photo, Rarity turns to see Ben galloping off in a panic. The mare calls out, "Ben!" Ben kept on running to get away from his so-called wife as fast as he could. The stallion yelps upon seeing Rarity who is almost close but is looking the other way, "Ben, darling?"

Ben gallops off some more then he stops near a corpse named Knightshade. He shakes him a bit in fear while yelling, "Please! There is a mistake, I am not dead!"

Of course, Knightshade was shaken to the point up his head falling right off, making Ben yelps. He runs off nearby but stops as an undead Fancypants trying to get through, saying, "I say, excuse me, sir."

Ben would've moved aside to let Fancypants through...except he saw, to his horror, that there is no reason to do so! The unicorn was split into two big time. The frightened stallion looks worried as the two sides said while passing me, "Excuse me, thank you."

Ben quickly makes a break for it as fast as he can. The stallion looks more scared to hear Rarity calling out for him, "Ben." He didn't get too far as the pony runs into an alleyway...and find his remaining way blocked.

"A dead end," Ben groans a bit in worry. To make matters worse, he can hear his pursuer getting closer.

"Ben! Hello!"

"Hey." A familiar baby Dragon appears from out of nowhere, making Ben almost faint dead away. "Man, you seem jumpy for someone who was married to the hottest mare in the Underworld."

"Look, it was a mistake!" Ben exclaims to Spike frantically. "I didn't mean to marry her, it was an accident!"

"Then why did you even made your vows to her?"

"Look, get me out of here! Is there another way out!"

"Yeah. Try going up for one." Spike suggested as he points to a wall. Ben nods as he grabs the big wall and begins climbing his way up the wall. Spike climbs after him to see if the living one is doing okay; Though something tells him that Ben didn't really mean to marry Rarity at all.

Ben kept on climbing until he reach the top, grabs the bars. The stallion sighs, thinking that the worst is over...until he grabs a leg of a familiar unicorn. Ben looks horrified and embarrassed as Rarity stood at the top, waiting for him.

"Dear, why didn't you use the stairs?" Rarity asks Ben with a giggle as she helps him up. The stallion groans a bit; So much for trying to escape.

Spike catch up to the married couple, sighing while saying, "Oooooh, you almost made it." Still, he, Ben and Rarity looks around at the view; Looks kinda wonderful...in a scary creepy kinda way.

"Oh, isn't this view beautiful? It takes my breath away...well, if I had any, it would." Rarity giggles as she dances a bit. Ben dances a bit while looking at her. "Romantic, isn't it?"

"Sure is."

Ben notes that Spike is sighing lovingly to Rarity who sat on a bench nearby. The pony can guess that this baby Dragon must be in love with her or something. Of course, the sudden marriage may've made it difficult for Spike to have any hope. Ben reluctantly sat down next to Rarity with Spike joining him.

Ben decides to get serious at this point. He sighs while saying to Rarity, "Miss, look, I'm very sorry about what happened to you. I truly do. And while I wish that I can do anything to help, I really need to get home."

"But darling, this is your home now." Rarity points out, though not getting what Ben is explaining to her.

"But I don't even know your name."

"Oh yeah, that's one great way to start a marriage." Bray in Rarity's head remarks in sarcasm, causing Rarity to groan in embarrassment. Why he do that when things are getting good?

"Shut it!" Rarity hiss quietly to Bray. She smiles to Ben while continuing, "Rarity."

"Rarity; Right," Ben said right back to Rarity with a nod. What a nice name. If it weren't the fact that he truly loves Twilight and if Rarity was alive, this would've been different.

"Oh yes, I almost forgot. I got something for you." Rarity giggles as she takes out a box and shows it to Ben. "It's a wedding present."

"Very cool; I wish I got one from you." Spike said to Rarity with a sigh while Ben takes the package, examining while shaking the thing. Rarity is worried, wondering if her new 'husband' likes his present or not. "I would appreciate no matter what you got me. Anything you get is wonderful and generous."

"I do appreciate your kind words, Spikey, but alas, we don't know each other long enough to do so."

"Rats."

Ben finally opens the box, looking startled as he saw bones and pieces of gray stuff inside. Not wanting to be rude to his new 'bride' for his gift, the stallion said nervously, "Uh, thanks...I guess."

Suddenly without warning the box shakes a bit like mad. Ben yelps and tries to close it, only to be surprised when the box jump and open up, causing the pieces inside to roll around on the ground. As the trio watch, it forms into a black like female dog with red eyes and flesh wounds. Ben's eyes widen in surprise some more, could it be...?

The dog barks as she picks up her collar and shows it to Ben who reads it, "'Winona'?" The dog barks happily. "Winona! It's you!"

"I take it you know her?" Spike asks Ben as the dog jumps up to Ben and licks him on the face, making the living pony smiles.

"Yes! Winona, what a good girl! Rarity, where did you find her?"

"While you were out, I did some searching for a wedding present and found her in the cemetery." Rarity explains to Ben while smiling lovingly. "I figure you would love her."

Winona got off Ben and looks to her master who grins while asking, "Who's the good girl? Sit, sit. Winona, sit."

Winona obeys as she sat down on the ground. Spike impressed spoke up, "Man, even when she's gone, your dog listens to you."

"Yeah, I know. Good girl, Winona. Okay, roll over, girl. Roll over." Ben instructs Winona who barks and rolls over a bit. "Good girl. Okay, play dead!" Of course, the dog just looks at him funny as if asking 'what, you kidding?'

"Too bad! Already expired, pal."

"Oh, sorry. Win; Ironic since you already pass on; Hee hee hee."

Rarity smiled, hugging Winona and giggling. She remarks, "Your dog is such a cutie, Benjamin. You are lucky to have a pet like her."

"Well, you should've been Winona back when she had fur." Ben comments with a smile making Spike and Rarity chuckle a bit. "I will be honest. My dad never approved of Winona jumping up like this. Then again, he never approved of anything unless it is by his standards."

"Your dad has a different life, does he?" Spike asks Ben in concern.

"My father was the infamous pirate Jack Silver, the sailor who roamed the Equestrian Seas. He is more of a parrot pony than a dog one so you can see why it was hard for him to get along with Winona. Dad was a loner with a crew until he met my mother Princess Celestia. The two fell in love, one thing led to another and you get the idea."

"Is there any chance that would approve of me?" Rarity asks Ben with a hopeful grin. It would be wonderful to meet the parents of her new husband!

"Yeah, well, sadly you would never meet him." Ben said to Rarity with a sad sigh. After all, he is trapped down here forever and...but then an idea came to his head, making him smile excitedly. "Hang on. Now that you mention it...yeah! I think you should meet mom and dad!"

"Ben, what are you doing?" Spike asks confused as he and Rarity watch Ben stand up, taking in the view of the undead city. First, the Earth pony revealed to the Dragon not too long ago that he never wanted to marry Rarity. Now Ben wants to introduce his parents to her?

"Yeah, in fact, why not; we are married, Rarity, so you should meet my dad and my mom! Right, we should go and see them right now!"

"What a smashing idea, darling! Where are your parents buried?" Rarity asks Ben with a happy squeal. Of course, Ben looks a bit down for some reason. "Ben? Is there anything wrong?"

"Yeah, about mom and dad...they aren't actually...from around here." Ben explains seriously to his undead wife and new friend.

"What? So where are your old folks?" Spike asks puzzled. To answer his question, Ben points a hoof to the surface. It didn't take long for the two undead ones to figure it out. "Oooh, I see. They really aren't from around here."

"As in they're still alive?" Rarity asks Ben in concern.

"Yes, afraid so," Ben said with a pretend sad look as well as concern to his bride.

"Hoo boy, that is a problem then."

"Why not? You undead get to come out of the graves almost all the time."

"Yeah, but that's normally on Nightmare Night, when we're summoned by black magic or on special occasions." Spike explains to Ben with a sigh. "Unless it's one of those, we can't be disturbing the living anytime soon, Ben."

Just then Winona got an idea. He tugs on Rartity's undead goat and barks a bit. The corpse bride ask puzzled, "What is it, Winona?" The dog whispers something into her hear. Rarity as if she could understand him gasps. "Wait, no, we couldn't possibly..."

"Possibly what; Wait, hang on, are you suggesting..." Spike begins to ask, realizing what Winona is suggesting here. The dog frowns and barks a bit. "Okay, okay!"

"Very well, if you put it like that."

"What? What is it?" Ben asks the two hopefully. Is there a way to make it up top despite the conditions after all?

Spike nods as he gave the lowdown to Ben, "You see, there is a way to get back up but we must disturbed him in order to do so."

"Who?"

"The Moochik," Rarity explains, making Ben stunned upon hearing the name. This Moochik must be the town elder of sorts.

Hope this guy doesn't mind visitors...

The Moochik lives in a tower that is on a cliff that overlooks the undead city. If any corpse needs help or assistance, he's the person to turn to. The quartet enters the place while some thunder sounds, causing Winona to bark in fright.

"Shh, it's all right, Winona." Rarity said gently, quieting the scared dead dog down. She looks around while calling, "Moochik, are you here?"

Ben looks stunned at the lot of books that are around the place. This Moochik creature must've practice a lot in magic, has knowledge of death and the whatnot. Hopefully he could help in bringing him back to the surface in hopes that Ben can be reunited with Twilight...but how will he explain this to Rarity and Spike later?

"Hey, anyone home? Hello?" Spike calls out with a frown. "Strange, he should be here..."

Suddenly, Ben knock some books over by accident, causing some crows in the room to caw like made while flying off. Winona yelps, fearing the worst. The quartet then saw a hand belonging to a gnome corpse who coughs a bit appearing while holding a lamp. Rarity grins while saying, "Ah, Moochik. There you are." So this is the Moochik? Ben is surprised because he was expecting the elder to be a pony or a Dragon. Oh well.

The Moochik put on some glasses and saw the group. With a smile, he spoke, "Ah, Rarity, my dear. There you are. What brings you here?"

"I've brought my husband Ben."

"What did you say? Husband; so you and the Dragon finally got together, how nice. Though I thought his name was Spike."

Spike chuckles sheepishly as he rubs the back of his head, saying, "Yeah, I wish that I was her husband but I am not it." The baby Dragon points to the living Earth pony, much to the Moochik's confusion. "That's him right there."

"Hey, a pleasure to meet you sir," Ben said with a nervous smile. He hopes that the Moochik doesn't suspect what the Earth pony is up to.

"Listen, we need to go up. Upstairs, as in to visit the land of the living," Rarity explains to the Moochik with a smile.

"The land of the living," The Moochik said in concern as he walks down the stairs, "Oh dear."

"Please, Moochik. It's important."

"Now why would you want to go up there? The living is dying to get down here."

"Ha ha ha ha! Oh man, that's a good one, ha ha ha ha!" Spike laughs like mad while slapping his knee a bit. Ben and Rarity of course just roll their eyes a bit at this bad timing.

"Sir, I beg you. Please help...it means so much to me...err, I mean us." Ben said while correcting himself on the last part to the Moochik. The Earth pony wants so much to go home, not just to see his parents but to see Twilight again.

"I am not sure about that. It's...just not natural." The Moochik said in hesitation. After all, the undead don't normally visit the land of the living unless it's on special occasions, Nightmare Night or summoned by black magic.

"But isn't there anything you can do?" Rarity asks the Moochik in a pleading voice. "Please, help us."

"Well, let's see what I can do. Now where did I put that book?"

The Moochik goes through a book cabinet, looking for some sort of book that could help him. As Rarity watch, she fails to hear Spike who is whispering to Ben, "Just so I'm clear, there is a real reason why you want to go back home, right?"

"Yes, I want to see my true love again." Ben whispers to Spike in concern. "It isn't Rarity...I didn't wish to lie to her but this is the only way I can see Twilight Sparkle again. Please, don't tell her."

"My lips are sealed though I don't feel like lying to Rarity."

The Moochik now looks through a drawer causing some crows to fly out of it. As Ben, Spike and Rarity watch, the gnome mumbles, "Now I know I left it here somewhere..." The Moochik goes through each book, though one of them almost hit Winona. He then grins as the gnome pulls out a book. "Ah, found it."

With a smile, the Moochik blew the dust off the book then goes to a dusty desk that has some bottles on it to lay it down. The old gnome flips through a few smiles and smiles as he found something. Yes, this could work.

"I have it." The Moochik said, making Rarity smile a bit. "It's a Mystic Pony haunting spell, something for these quick trips. As long as you don't kill anyone, it will go fine."

"Glad you thought of this." Rarity said to Ben with a smile.

"Yeah, same here," Ben remarks with a light chuckle; this is going to be perfect! He can go home and be with Twilight again!

The Moochik begins to work on something. He put in some liquid contents and some powder into a bottle before grabbing a feather from a nearby raven, putting it into the mix. Soon a puff of smoke is seen before the gnome lifts the bottle...and drank the contents.

Spike blinks while asking, "Uh, what was that got to do with getting us to the surface?"

"Nothing, I just needed a drink." The Moochik remarks with a chuckle. "Now then, where were we?"

"The Mystic Pony haunting spell," Rarity reminds the Moochik of what he's doing. The gnome nods, remembering how. He grabs the raven hard causing it to lay an egg then picks it up.

"Okay, here we go. You all ready?"

"Sure am." Spike said as Ben and Rarity nods as well. All of them are eager to get back to the land of the living...but some for different reasons. Hopefully this will end well.

"Now then, remember, when you want to come back, just say 'Hopscotch'." The Moochik explains clearly, much to the confusion of Rarity and Spike.

"Hopscotch," Rarity and Spike ask in confusion.

"Yes. That's the word."

Soon the Moochik cracks the egg and drop the contents. Soon smoke appears and engulfs the four before they disappear from sight. Ben is on his way home and with some special guests to be precise!

Okay, Ben, Rarity and Spike returns to the land of the living. In the next chapter, they meet up with Loudmouth while Ben sneaks off to see Twilight. But when Rarity finds out the real reason why her 'husband' wishes to go back home, heartbreak occurs. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 5: Torn Between Two Mares

Loudmouth flew almost all over the place. So far, there is no trace or sign of Ben. The parrot is worried. What if it's true, that he did ran off with another mare? But then Loudmouth saw some smoke appearing nearby and decides to investigate.

During that time, Ben, Rarity, Spike and Winona appears in a forest. The white unicorn gasps happily as she looks around the place then at the moon. It's like she hasn't been here...not since before her own demise at the hooves of her former lover.

Rarity giggles a bit then spots a butterfly flying in the air. This made her sigh happily and dance freely around the forest before she does so around Ben. The stallion looks away in concern. How will Rarity react when he finds out the real reason why Ben came back home?

"So are you going to tell her?" Spike whispers to Ben in concern.

"I don't know. I would feel bad if she finds out that I came back to see Twilight." Ben whispers right to Spike in worry.

Just then Rarity trips, causing one of her own legs to fall off; Bray came out of her ear while remarking, "Hey! You dropped something!"

Ben and Spike watch as Rarity works on freeing her own leg while reattaching. Once the mare can move again, she happily dances a bit some more then came back to Ben, wanting to dance with him. The stallion was preparing to tell her to wait a bit so he can escape and see Twilight when a familiar voice stops him.

"Benny, there ye are. Rawk," Loudmouth calls out as he flies down near to Ben and lands on his back, much to the surprise and delight of his friend.

"Loudmouth," Ben asks Loudmouth with a grin.

"Yep, and who be the pretty lass, eh?"

"This is Rarity. And that's Spike."

"How do you do; Name's Loudmouth, First Mate to Captain Jack Silver," Loudmouth said as he gave a respected bow to Rarity and Spike, making them laugh and giggle.

"Yes, it's nice to meet you." Rarity giggles a bit. Loudmouth looks at her oddly, "Oh what? Me? Well, yes, it's true. I'm dead, no longer part of the living."

"But there's no reason to be worried, right?" Spike asks Loudmouth with a chuckle.

"Nah," Loudmouth squawks a bit, assuring Rarity and Spike of no hard feelings. Just then he saw a dog barking eagerly to him. The parrot, recognizing the long dead Winona, spoke up, "Rawk! Winona? Be that ye, lassie? Look at ye...still looking as good as ever; Rawk."

"Is Loudmouth always this chatty, Benny?"

"You have no idea, Spike." Ben chuckles a bit in amusement. He then saw Rarity dancing again then stops her before he sat the dead corpse down onto a leg. "Now then, hold it, Rarity. Ahem, I think I should go off and prepare mom and dad for the big news. I will go ahead. You wait here."

"Yes, perfect darling." Rarity remarks with a light chuckle.

"Wait, what news?" Loudmouth asks a big puzzled and confused, not sure what Ben is referring to.

"Oh, I am his wife.

"His WHAT?!"

"Rarity, sweetie...could you please excuse me, Spike and Loudmouth for a while," Ben ask Rarity uneasily. "I want them to come with me to break the news to my parents. We will be right back."

"All right; I don't mind." Rarity said with a grin. Ben nods as he, Spike and a alarmed Loudmouth rush off. The stallion turns back to his 'bride'. "And no peeking, okay?"

Rarity giggles a bit then waits as Ben's group heads off. Unknown to her, the trio are making their way out of the forest with only birds noticing them leaving. Along the way, Ben told Loudmouth what has happened...and the parrot was more shocked than ever.

"What is the meaning of this, Ben?! How could you marry some....some....dead pony behind Twilight's back like that? Rawk," Loudmouth demands to Ben, shocked and upset. The Earth pony loves Twilight, Celestia is assured of it; what gives?!

"Loudmouth, it was all an accident, okay? I was only practicing my vows, only to well...end up marrying Rarity by mistake." Ben explains clearly to Loudmouth in concern.

"Rawk; is that what happened? Or is this just an excuse to cheat on Twilight some more?"

"I'm serious, Loudmouth."

"You're not gonna tell Ben's parents about what's going on, are ya, Loudmouth?" Spike asks Loudmouth in worry. He fears that Jack and Celestia would be disappointed if they were to find out what their son has gotten himself into.

"I'd rather hang myself than tell on poor Ben like that. If only I could actually hang myself." Loudmouth sighs a bit, "But what about Twilight?"

"I will tell her that I love her...then tell Twilight what happened. Maybe she could find a way to get myself out of this fix." Ben explains with a sigh while the trio heads through town. He then spots a familiar mansion up ahead. "There's her home right now."

Ben's group reach the door but stop upon hearing Jet Set's angry voice, "If I ever get my hooves on that treacherous Earth filth, I will break his neck...and maybe the necks of those who are involved in his crime!"

Inside, Upper Crust locks the door as she said, "Jet, your hooves are too small. I say use a rope with magic. Say, where's Twilight?"

"In her room; she was upset and won't come out." Caramel explains to his employers to where Twilight is.

"She still thinks that Ben is still faithful to her. I don't blame her." Fireblaze said with a shrug. "A mare like that can only find love once in a lifetime."

Outside, Ben looks worried. Jet Set will kill him big time should he go outside. Spike in concern ask, "So, Ben, any idea on how to get to Twilight now?"

"Here's an idea." Loudmouth said as he spots something nearby and begins leading Ben and Spike to it. This is the perfect way to see Twilight in her bedroom unnoticed.

Rarity was getting impatient, becoming concerned. What is taking Ben so long to tell his parents and come back so he can introduce her to them? Perhaps it is a long trot after all...

"Psst! This is your conscience talking. Listen to me." Bray in Rarity's head said to the unicorn, much to her irritation. "I got a bad feeling about that pony...as well as your Dragon friend and that parrot of his. They are up to no..."

Rarity hits her eat in annoyance, causing Bray to fall out of her head and onto the snow with a yelp of pain. The corpse snaps, "How uncouth! Chew on some pony's ear for a while. Ben just left to see his parents, like he said. Spike and Loudmouth is probably helping him out."

"Well, if I hadn't been sitting in your head, I would say that you lost your mind! Honestly!"

"There is a good reason as to what's taking him so long. He must have one."

"Well, I betcha he does." Bray remarks while rolling his eyes in disbelief. "Say, if you're convinced that there's a good reason, why not ask him?"

"Very well, I will." Rarity said, sniffing a bit. Bray, Winona and Rarity spots some footprints in the snow on the ground. Yeah, they could follow those and see where Ben's group has gone off to.

"After all, no way Ben can get far with those cold hooves; Ha ha ha ha; Yeah, funny stuff!"

Loudmouth led Ben and Spike to a vine wrapped around a stone stand nearby. The parrot remarks, "Rawk! There it is, you can climb up from there...unless you wanna fly."

"No, I prefer to do it the standard way." Ben said with a smile as he grabs the vine and begins climbing upward. "Still, thanks."

Ben and Spike climbs up the vine until they reach the window to Twilight's room. The Earth pony saw his true love in the said room, sewing a bit with her magic. Ben sighs a bit happily; it would be wonderful to be with her again. Suddenly without warning, Ben yelps and fell right onto the balcony area with Spike landing on the same thing but away from the window.

The impact is enough to alert Twilight who gasps, "What is that?!"

Twilight shrugs a bit. Maybe she imagined it. The mare goes back to her sewing, maybe she miss her love too much. Unknown to her, the stallion got up and knocks on the glass door. Twilight gasps upon hearing the knocking. Now she didn't imagine that time!

To Twilight's happiness, she saw a familiar Earth pony outside the balcony door. After putting the cloth down, the unicorn gallops over to the door and uses her magic to open it. Twilight sighs and came in, followed by Loudmouth and Spike (who quickly rush in to avoid being seen for the moment).

As Ben close the door, Loudmouth smiles while saying, "Look what I found, Miss Sparkle; Rawk!"

"Twilight," Ben said with a shiver but manages to smile all the same.

"Ben? Oh, I'm so happy to see you." Twilight said, happy to be reunited with Ben again. Looks like her hopes are right, the Earth pony didn't ran off with another mare after all! The two and Loudmouth came near the fireplace while Spike stay out of sight, hiding behind a table. "Come by the fire. Oh, where have you been? Are you all right?"

"I...oh dear...well..."

"The story of what happened is kinda complicated." Loudmouth said, pondering how to explain what happened to Twilight.

Twilight release Ben's hoof, looking concerned as she said, "You're cold as death! What happened to you...and your coat?"

Ben indeed saw that his coat is a dusty mess. The Earth pony quickly dust it off before looking seriously to Twilight, saying, "Twilight, I must confess. The coat isn't important, this is. The point of matter; I was...terrified of marriage this morning." Twilight look surprised to hear this. "Yeah, but when I met you, I feel like I should be with you always forever....and that our wedding could not come soon enough."

"Ben, I feel the same way."

The two lovers smile as Loudmouth and the hidden Spike watch on with smiles. It appears that nothing can ruin this now; But as Ben and Twilight prepare to kiss each other, the dead Dragon turn and yelps as he saw a familiar dead white unicorn climbing up to the balcony with Winona and waves over to Ben.

Ben, seeing Spike, saw Rarity and Winona outside and yelps in concern. As he points to outside, the Earth pony said, "Twilight, I se...I se...I seem to find myself married. Listen, you must believe, what happened was unexpected! I didn't know that it was a hoof instead of a stick when I was practicing my vows earlier!"

Twilight looks confused, not sure what Ben is talking about. Suddenly, the door opens up, startling the living and dead. Loudmouth yelps, "Aw Rawk!"

"Ben darling, my apologizes. I got a little impatient and wanted so much to meet..." Rarity stops and gasps upon seeing Twilight...with Ben. Winona barks in surprise. With a nervous chuckle and a glare, the undead white unicorn asks, "Darling, who is this?"

"Uh, Rarity; There's something you should know." Spike said as he came out of hiding, making Twilight gasps upon seeing him.

"Ben, who is she...and what is that?!" Twilight ask Ben as she looks confused at both Rarity and Spike.

"Oh, I am Spike...an undead Dragon. And this..."

Rarity smiles as she showed a familiar ring on one of her hooves, saying proudly, "And I am his darling wife."

"What?! Ben?" Twilight ask Ben in surprise and shock. What is going on here?

"Twilight, wait, you don't understand." Ben said in worry as he shows Rarity's hoof to Twilight. This whole incident is about to go bad big time! "You see, she's dead! Look!"

Spike slaps his forehead while Bray from behind Rarity calls out, "Oooh, bad move, kid! You just call her dead, very offensive; burned!"

Rarity gave an angry glare to Twilight. Of course, this makes sense: Ben wasn't really going to introduce her to his parents! He just wanted an excuse to see another mare...and one who is still alive! How dare he!

"Hopscotch...and you're coming with us, Mr. Loudmouth." Rarity remarks as she uses her magic to grab Ben, Spike and a yelping Loudmouth.

"Oh, boy; why do I get myself into these darn situations?" Loudmouth asks himself in alarm and horror.

Ben tries frantically to reach Twilight who screams out to him in horror, "Ben!"

"TWILIGHT!" Ben screams out as a bunch of crows cover him, Rarity, Spike, Winona and Loudmouth. Twilight can only watch in horror as the five disappear from sight.

Without warning, Ben finds himself back in the Moochik's tower back in the underworld, facing a furious Rarity. The Moochik ask in concern, "Back so soon? What happened? And who's the parrot?"

"Oh geez! Where am I, rawk?!" Loudmouth squawks in worry and horror, finding himself in a tower of darkness.

"You lied to me!" Rarity screams in fury to Ben as she shoves him. "You just wanted to get back to that other mare! And Spikey, you knew all along; you and the parrot!"

"Hey, listen, you don't understand!" Spike exclaims to Rarity in alarm. "I promised not to tell and Ben..."

"Hey, if you're angry at me, filly, it wasn't my fault or Ben's!" Loudmouth exclaims to the angry Rarity in worry. "You see..."

"Guys, let me handle this." Ben sighs as he turns to Rarity in hopes to calm her down. "You don't understand. You're the other mare!"

"No! You're married to me!" Rarity protests with tears coming out of her eyes. She points upward while snapping, "She's the other mare!"

Rarity weeps some more as the Moochik coughs a little while watching this scene, "Well, she got a point you know."

"Hey, you aren't making things better." Spike groans out to the Moochik.

"I thought...I thought that this was going so well." Rarity said to Ben while weeping. One of her eyes pops out before rolling on to the floor to Ben's hooves. The Earth pony sighs as he takes the eye, dusting it off. Ben got to explain the truth to Rarity a bit.

"I'm sorry. It isn't against you. It's just...this cannot work." Ben said sadly to Rarity who looks upset while snapping her eye back from him.

"And why not; is it because of my eye?!"

"No. Your eye is lovely."

"Right, you're a beautiful mare, any one, Dragon or pony, would've have you." Spike said to Rarity who put her eye back in. "It's just...I mean, under different circumstances, who knows? But well...you two are just too different."

"Right, you're dead." Ben said to Rarity with a sigh, trying his best to let his 'wife' down as best as he could.

"Ugh, I am undead, you ruffian!" Rarity snaps angrily to Ben in frustration, "Why didn't you thought of that about asking me to marry you?!"

"Don't you get it?! What happened was a mistake! I would never marry you!"

Rarity gasps as Ben looks shocked upon what he said. Spike and Loudmouth look concerned as the white unicorn sighs in sadness before leaving her 'husband' alone. Once he is gone, Ben sighs in sadness, regretting what he said. Her former lover has turned on her years ago and now...it's happening all over again.

"Hoo boy; Poor filly," Loudmouth sighs in concern.

Author's note
Well, Ben is trapped in the Underworld again, with Loudmouth joining and poor Rarity is heartbroken. What will happen now? In the next chapter, Rarity sings over her heartbreak. Meanwhile, Twilight tries to tell her adopted parents and Nexus about what happened to Ben and Loudmouth but they think that she's crazy. Blueblood then makes a suggestion that could make the poor mare's life worst...especially with sinister motives involved. Read, review and suggest!

Chapter 6: Forced Marriage

Rarity frowns in anger as she tosses her veil crown off her head. What a fool she was! The mare thought that she has found true love, one who could set her free...but instead, ha! The husband that Rarity thought she wanted never wanted anything to do with her! What a fool the unicorn was!

As Rarity sat near a sarcophagus, she glances at her bouquet and rip off a rose. Sarcastically, she remarks, "Roses for eternal love; Lilies for sweetness...baby's breath. Ugh."

Rarity groans as she tosses the bouquet to the ground. Winona, who was following her since the corpse left the Moochik's home looks concerned. Photo appears, coming over while saying, "Why so blue, Rarity?"

"Oh, maybe Ben is right. I mean, perhaps we are too different after all..."

"Oh come on! The idiot should have his head examined!" Bray remarks inside Rarity's head. This causes her to frown and pull the donkey right out. "You know, I could do it if it helps..."

"But maybe Ben does belong with her. Little Miss Living," Rarity said sadly then frowns a bit, looking peeved. "She got purple cheeks and beating heart. I mean..."

"Ack; those kind of mares are ten a bit! Why, you got so much more. You've got...let's see...you got a wonderful personality." Photo said, trying to show Rarity how she could be better than the living mares. As the white unicorn sighs, Photo and Bray begins to sing a song.

Bray: What does that wispy little brat have
That you don't have double?

Photo Finish: She can't hold a candle
To ze beauty of your smile

Rarity: How about a pulse?

Rarity shakes her head while turning away. Her friends aren't doing well in cheering her up but they kept on trying.

Rarity: But she still breathes air

Rarity sighs in sadness and look up at the sky while standing up, doing some thinking.

Rarity: If I touch a burning candle, I can feel the pain
If you cut me with a knife, it's still the same
And I know her heart is beating
And I know that I am dead
Yet the pain here that I feel
Try and tell me it's not real
For it seems that I still have a tear to shed

Rarity leans next to a door, sliding down to sit. Her friends sang once more in hopes to cheer her up.

Bray: The sole redeeming feature
From that little creature
Is that she's alive

Winona picks up the bouquet that Rarity dropped then lays it near Rarity.

Bray: Who cares?

In sadness, Rarity threw her bouquet away and goes over to the sarcophagus. As the white unicorn lies in it, she finishes the song up.

Rarity: If I touch a burning candle, I can feel no pain
In the ice or in the sun, it's all the same
Yet I feel my heart is aching,
Though it doesn't beat, it's breaking
And the pain here that I feel
Try and tell me it's not real
I know that I am dead
Yet it seems that I still have some tears to shed

Once the song is over, Rarity shed a tear that lands on the ground. Bray and Photo looks concerned for their friend. Even when she's dead, the poor unicorn is heartbroken. What will become of her now?

Twilight was trying her best to explain to Upper Crust as to what happened. Someone must do something to help Ben who, along with Loudmouth, was taken away by a dead mare and a dead Dragon! Her adopted mother is listening, though more like she is ignoring.

"Mother, what I'm saying is true! Ben got married to a dead mare!" Twilight insists to her mother as Caramel and Fireblaze appears on the scene. "I saw her, a corpse, standing right here with Ben!"

"Wait, Ben was in your room?!" Upper Crust gasps in shock upon hearing that. The same colt who dared messed up his wedding then gallop off from it was with Twilight; jow in blazes did he get in there?!

"I have to help him, please!"

"Why, the scandal!"

"Calm down, miss." Fireblaze said, doing his best to calm his employer down. He turns to Twilight while saying, "Listen, while we can't see you, sit in your chair. You must be shaking like a leaf! Once you can come out, we will get you a blanket!"

"More like a straitjacket! My daughter has gone completely mad!" Upper Crust exclaims in shock and disgust. Her adopted daughter is making wild claims of Ben being married to a dead unicorn! Ridiculous!

"But Mrs. Crust, what if Twilight was right?" Caramel asks Upper Crust in concern. "I mean, the princess did spoke of life beyond death. Perhaps we should put her concerns into consideration."

"The princess doesn't know what she's talking about and neither is my daughter! Now you two, come on. And Twilight, be glad you're in that room. Stay in there like a good daughter who is not crazy!"

"You aren't my real mother!" Twilight snaps angrily to Upper Crust from in her room.

"I don't wanna hear it!" Upper Crust snaps as she and the servants, the last two did so reluctantly, heads off.

Twilight groans while looking worried. Her mother thinks she has gone crazy. No surprise since Ben has disappeared without warning and could ran off with another mare of all things. She needs someone who could help but how? Just then, Twilight saw the window unlocked and got an idea.

Twilight opens the door as she heads to the balcony. While a long cloth would've worked, the unicorn isn't going to do that. Twilight has magic so she could teleport to the ground...once she is certain that her timing is right and her adopted parents are in bed.

Meanwhile, Jet Set was looking out the window when Upper Crust calls over, "Jet Set. Will you stop looking out that window and come to bed?"

"Fine," Jet Set groans in irritation as he turns around to go to bed. That mare!

And perfect timing as Twilight teleport to the ground, landing on her hooves to the ground. She nods and gallops off quickly. The unicorn knew that she should tell her teacher and Ben's father about what happened, but what if they won't believe her?

Twilight knew that there is only one pony in town who she could talk to about life beyond dead.

Nexus was about to head for bed for the night when he hears loud banging at the church doors. He frowns and trots over to it, mumbling, "In the Herd's name, whose could that be at this hour?!" Nexus opens the door and saw, to his surprise, Twilight outside. "Miss Sparkle?"

"Sir Spell Nexus, I apologize for waking you up at this hour." Twilight said to Nexus in concern.

"Well, what are you doing here? You should be at home, prostrate with grief!"

"I must ask you something. I wouldn't disturb you if it wasn't important."

Nexus sighs impatiently to Twilight, "While I am always free to give out advice, this is most irregular. Why not ask the princess for whatever you wish?"

"Please, I beg you! I wish to talk with you before talking to Princess Celestia." Twilight insists. She manages to stop the pastor from closing the door, allowing her to enter. "You are the only one in the village besides her who knows what will await us beyond the grave."

"Well, this is a grim topic...for a bride to be."

"It is the bride that I fear. That is why I must know...and please, this is a question of curiosity, not insanity. Can the living marry the dead?"

Nexus looks shocked upon hearing the question, making him demand, "What in Equestria are you talking about, foal?!"

"It's Ben, he's married to a unicorn whose is dead, some sort of corpse bride, I don't know. Is there anything that can be done to undo what has been done?" Twilight ask Nexus in concern, hoping for an answer. The male unicorn just pauses, pondering about the question.

"Hmmm, yes; I believe I know what to do. Come with me..."

Nexus grabs Twilight with his magic then blows the candle out, putting the whole church into darkness.

Celestia and Jack came over to the mansion to talk to the adopted parents as they are concerned. Loudmouth has yet to come back from finding Twilight. Suddenly without warning, a familiar mare was tossed into the room, much to the four's shock.

"Twilight; where are your corsets?" Upper Crust asks in shock and confusion. "And how did you get out of your room?!"

"Nexus! What is the meaning of this?!" Celestia demands to Nexus who came into the room with a frown on his face.

"Princess Celestia, I'm afraid your student is speaking in tongues. Speaking of unholy alliances," Nexus explains seriously to everyone in the room.

"What are ye talking about?" Jack demands to Nexus in irritation while the servants grab Twilight to keep her from making a break for it.

"Her mind has become undone, I fear. She has made claims that your son got married to a corpse of all things! Ridiculous!"

"That's not true, Nexus! What I said was the truth!" Twilight exclaims while struggling in Caramel and Fireblaze's upper forelegs. "Let go of me at once."

"Wait, Sir Nexus. I know that the claim seems wildish but you and I always know of stories beyond the grave." Celestia said to Nexus in concern. "Twilight can't be making up something crazy like this."

"Regardless, it's best to keep her locked up until she calms down." Nexus said to Celestia with a stern nod. "Making those claims can be very serious and could also spook the locals."

"Well, thank you Sir Nexus, thank you so much." Upper Crust said to Nexus. The headmaster nods as he leaves the mansion, closing the door on the way out. The adopted parents glare at their struggling daughter. This whole insanity has gone too far!

"Take her to her room!" Jet Set orders the servants sternly to take Twilight to her room.

"Seal the doors, bar the windows and put an anti-magic collar on her! I don't want her to escape again!"

"Wait, Ben needs our help! Let me go, please let me go!" Twilight cries out to everyone as Caramel and Fireblaze back to her room. "I'm telling the truth! Ben needs my help! Caramel, Fireblaze, don't do this!"

"Sorry, but we got no choice." Caramel apologizes to Twilight in regret. He hates to do this but the Earth pony is in employment of Jet Set and Upper Crust so they got to do as they themselves were told.

"Right, sorry." Fireblaze apologizes as he and Caramel takes Twilight out of the room. The mare continues struggling in worry. Ben has been taken away, married to a dead pony and no one believes her.

Once Twilight is out of the room, Upper Crust sighs in depression, "Oh, will the mortification never cease?! Why it could be years before we show ourselves in public again?!"

"It's okay, Upper. I'm sure we can find a way to figure this out." Jack said to Upper Crust in assuration. During this time, Prince Blueblood was about to head into another room but stops to hear the conve3rsion happening right now.

"What shall we do?"

"Well, we got no choice. We must continue has planned even without Benjamin." Jet Set remarks with a frown.

"You can't have a wedding without a groom, Jet." Celestia points out to Jet Set with a frown. "Anyway, where can you even find another one to replace my son?"

It was during this time that Blueblood came into the room, looking thoughtful as he said, "Princess, I must say. For that stallion to toss aside just a wonderful mare like Twilight Sparkle...sounds criminal to me. Why, if I had somepony like her by my side, I would lavish her with richest befitting royalty."

"I see. Whoever you married must be a fortune mare indeed ." Upper Crust said with a nod. But then Blueblood sighs in sadness (or so it seems), using his magic to hold up a picture of himself and another mare whose face is beloved.

"Sadly, I am not married. I was going to be married to a wonderful unicorn years ago and we were in love. We were doing stuff like tending parties, looking for diamonds, dealing with fashion here and there...but alas, tragedy has snatched her a month ago."

"Odd, you never told me, Jack and Ben about your betrothal." Celestia said to her nephew suspiciously. Blueblood never told anyone in his family that he was once betrothed to a mare until her death. Why?

"I prefer not to talk about it, Auntie. It was...too tragic." Blueblood sighs as he wipes off a fake tear from her eyes. "Still, sad, yes?" The stallion puts a picture away in sadness. "When one lives alone, even wealth can't help..."

"Still, shame the lass don't got a groom anymore." Jack said in concern and sadness. Blueblood then got a thought on his face as if an idea came to his head without warning. As did Twilight's adopted parents who share the same thought as each other.

"Auntie Celestia, may I suggest something?"

"If you must, Blueblood," Celestia said with a nod. If her nephew got a suggestion, may as well hear what it is.

Blueblood smiles as he spoke up, "Since Ben is...well...not here, I suggest that I marry Twilight instead."

Celestia and Jack both screams out in shock, "What?!?!" Did these two even heard right?! Blueblood wishes to marry Twilight?!

Upper Crust then smiles as she exclaims at once, "That's an excellent idea!"

"Yes, it's perfect." Jet Set laughs in glee. Celestia and Jack looks disbelief. Blueblood want to marry Blueblood and the purple unicorn's adopted parents is agreeing to that idea?!

"Blueblood, you can't be serious." Celestia said to Blueblood in disbelief.

"That be right, Celestia. Twilight can't be forced to marry somepony against her will!" Jack said in agreement; Just because Twilight is missing Ben, doesn't mean that she has to marry somepony else against her will; Even if the betrothal earlier was somewhat bad enough, but this?!

"And why ever not; it's tradition." Upper Crust insists, waving a hoof of uncaring to Ben's parents.

"That's right. And unless I'm mistaken, it's a tradition that....you....came up with in the past, Celestia." Jet Set reminds the princess that she made the tradition centuries ago so the alicorn was the one who was responsible for this.

"But that was before I met Jack." Celestia explains with a sigh. Why did she even make that foolish tradition in the first place?

Twilight is once again locked in her room with bars on her window and anti-magic collar on her neck to keep her from using magic. But neither matter as the mare is preparing to use a candle stick to pound on the stick. Twilight must escape and find help for Ben!

Just then the door opens up. Jet Set came in and ducks in alarm to dodge a swing from his adopted daughter. He yells, Gah! Are you mad?! I kept you locked in here for your sanity and my dignity! And this is how you repay me?! By almost killing me with a candlestick; how could you do this to your own father?!"

"You aren't even my real dad!" Twilight snaps to Jet Set angrily as the princess, Jack and Upper Crust came into the room.

"Does it even matter anymore?"

"Anyway, Twilight, we got marvelous news." Upper Crust said with an eager smile to Twilight. "There is going to be a wedding after all!"

"Wait, you found him?" Twilight ask Upper Crust hopefully. Of course Celestia and Jack looks worried, knowing the real news.

"Better be ready. Our relatives as well as your brother Shining Armor and your sister in law Princess Cadance will arrive at any given moment. We must have you presentable for your marriage to Prince Blueblood."

"What?! Prince Blueblood?!"

Twilight drops the candlestick that she was using in horror. Jet Set, not caring or noticing his adopted daughter's look, adds, "He will make a fine husband."

"Well, this seems like a fortuitous turn of events." Fireblaze adds as he came in, trying to side with his employers to avoid problems.

"Right, a far better prospect this time especially since his aunt is the princess so we still win," Upper Crust said with a proud smile.

"Twilight, it wasn't my idea." Celestia said to Twilight with a sigh. "I don't approve of it but your adopted parents insisted upon it."

"But I don't love him at all!" Twilight insists in concern and disbelief. Why can't her adopted parents even care for what she wants instead of what they themselves want?! "This is very wrong, not right! You can't make me do this."

"Well, we must anyway." Jet Set remarks indifferently. Ben's parents look upset. They can't believe that Twilight's parents don't even care for their daughter's wishes. The two are only in it just to be rich again!

"Mom, dad, I beg you, don't make me do this! There has to be another way! You may not be my parents but don't you love me like my real ones do?"

"Please! We only brought you in because you are the princess's student and it's the one of the best way to get close to loyalty! Do you even think that we love you like your dumb dead parents?! Please!"

Princess Celestia and Jack looks outraged, they can't believe that Twilight's adopted parents would teach her like this, even when she isn't related to them. Upper Crust laughs cruelly while saying, "Now then, get ready. Without your marriage to Prince Blueblood..."

"We will be forced out into the street without a center." Fireblaze explains in concern to Twilight.

"We are destitute." Jet Set said to Twilight with a nod.

"But Ben..." Twilight begins to say, not wishing to give up but sadly her selfish parents interrupt the worried unicorn.

"Ben Mare is gone, filly." Upper Crust said to Twilight sternly. "Just move on."

"You shall marry Prince Blueblood tomorrow." Jet Set remarks in agreement, much to the worry of Ben's parents, Caramel and Fireblaze. This whole thing is going way too far.

"According to plan," Both parents said at the same time and with a hint of eagerness in their tone of voice.

"I still say that the tradition thing that Celestia made was a bad idea." Jack argues with Jet Set and Upper Crust over the whole idea of marrying Twilight to someone else that she doesn't love is a bad idea.

"Still tradition is tradition. If Ben is truly gone, then we will have no other choice. Twilight will marry Blueblood." Jet Set said without a tone of caring in his voice.

"Never; I would rather die!" Twilight yells in defiance as she gallops out of the room.

"Twilight, get back here now!"

"You see, Jet Set? I was wrong to think that you and Upper Crust would have been a good foster family for Twilight. And if you wish to marry off my son's betrothed to that disgraceful nephew of mine, then Jack and I don't want any part of it!" Celestia exclaims in disgust and anger to Jet Set and Upper Crust. Perhaps it was a bad idea to let these two be Twilight's new parents if she had known of their behavior before hoof! "Come on, Jack. We're leaving."

As Ben's parents prepare to leave the room as well as the mansion, Jack ask in concern, "But what about Ben, Tia? What if Twilight be telling the truth?"

"Then we will have to pray that he is safe from harm."

 

As Ben's parents leave the room and Twilight's adopted one goes to their own bedroom, Blueblood peeks out from his bedroom, waiting impatiently. He smirks devilishly while leaving his room and goes down the other direction with an evil laugh. Things are going well.

The truth be told, Blueblood is marrying Twilight just for her money. His mother, tired of his behavior and actions, cut off his access to the family's money so he is practically. This is his best and good chance to get more money especially with what his failed betrothal years ago.

Blueblood stops near a portrait of Twilight with her real parents. He spoke, "Now my dear, don't look at me like that. You got to suffer through this union until death do us part..." The unicorn then gave out an evil smile. "And one will come sooner than expected; Ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

Hiding nearby, Pinkamena was growling while watching what is going on. Golden Heart holds his sister while saying quietly, "Easy sister."

Pinkamena growls, "I can't, the creep is making Twilight feel worse. I need to get Ben."

"Well until I see something off, you can." Golden Heart then sees Blueblood do something sinister and then says, "Ok you can save Ben."

Golden Heart lets Pinkamena go as she darts. Some around saw a pony dart past them and sent Blueblood into a pie while going out the door and then leap and darted into the ground heading to the Underworld.

Golden Heart says, "Be careful little sister, I will try to help Twilight anyway I can." He then moves to meet up with Twilight in hopes to help her.

Author's note
Poor Twilight; Not only that most ponies don't believe her about Ben but she is now engaged to be married to Blueblood who is after her money and will kill her to get it! In the next chapter, Noteworthy finally dies and meets up with Ben in the Underworld, telling him of Twilight's engagement to Blueblood, making the stallion miserable. And of course, Rarity learns that in order to be with Ben, he must die by drinking the wine of ages. Will Ben do it? Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 7: A Wedding of Life and Death

Celestia looks worried as she and Jack look around the city while riding in their carriage. They have been looking all over for the missing Ben and Loudmouth but so far, no signs of either one of them. Where could they be?

"It's almost dawn." Celestia said to Jack with a sigh. "Oh, where could they be?'

Before Jack could respond, a voice interrupts, "Ben Mare has eloped with a corpse! Heartbroken bride is going to wed wealthy nephew of Celestia!" The couple looks worried for they already knew about Twilight's forced engagement to Blueblood ahead of time.

"Arrrr, not be good. That blasted nephew of ours is going to be taking Ben's filly away!" Jack groans to Celestia in despair.

"I'm still concerned about the whole corpse thing." Celestia sighs to her husband in worry. "I know there's a possibility but..."

"I'm pondering as to what corpse would marry our boy! There has to be a reason!" Suddenly Jack heard Noteworthy coughing like mad, much to his annoyance. The pirate hits the top while snapping, "Noteworthy! For crying out loud, lad, enough with that blasted coughing! We got a family crisis here!"

"Shouldn't we worry about Noteworthy? That latest set of coughing sounds worrying!"

"Oh, the lad is just doing it to annoy me!"

Noteworthy coughs a lot, doing his best to hold on. But suddenly he gasps as the stallion held his heart attacking like. He groans and fell off the carriage and landing on the ground...dead. Jack and Celestia didn't realize what has happened as the carriage bump into his corpse, driving off.

"Arrr, are ye trying to kill us, Noteworthy?!" Jack shouts angrily, unaware of his driver's death. "I think that fool is trying to kill us!"

As Twilight is in her room, Golden Heart comes in. Upon seeing him, the mare says, "Hi Golden Heart, you heard that I am being forced to marry Blueblood."

"Well that Blueblood just wants your money and may plan to get it no matter what." Golden Heart said seriously to Twilight. The unicorn groans a bit, why is she not surprised to hear that?

"This is just great. I wish to hear something good."

"Well good news is that my sister is in the underworld getting Ben but for now we just wait. I will be by Celestia and Jack when the wedding starts and once my sister comes with Ben; I will be able to stop Blueblood."

"Ok." Twilight said with a sigh of concern. Hopefully things will turn out well at the end.

Back in the Underworld, Winona in concern looks around with the bouquet in her mouth. She looks to her master who silently follows her with Spike and Loudmouth. The stallion wants to apologize for his deceit earlier.

Winona put the flowers down making Ben sighs in sadness, "Well, time to apologize."

Ben, Spike and Loudmouth flies into the empty tavern. Upon looking around, they saw Rarity sadly playing the piano. The mare felt heartbroken, not wanting to talk to anyone, living or dead ever again.

"Oh, poor Rarity; Such a sweet mare, and now...this happens...again. I really feel sorry for her." Loudmouth said with a sad sigh.

"You do, Loudmouth?" Spike asks Loudmouth in surprise.

"Yeah, I do."

Time to get this over with; Ben trots over to Rarity, looking seriously while saying, "Hey...I think you dropped this." Ben shows the flowers to the white unicorn. But all she did was look at them then turn away. The bouquet brings back sad terrible memories. Ben only put the flowers down and turn away sadly before sighing. "Rarity...listen, I am really sorry about lying to about meeting my parents...it's just this whole day has gone quite...well...according to plan."

"Ben means it, Rare." Spike said with a smile to Rarity who looks at him. "The truth be told, he didn't mean to propose to you. Ben was practicing for his own vows and..."

Rarity interrupts, sighing while saying, "Somehow I knew...but it's still a proposal nevertheless. I just wish that I found a true love whose would set me free; someone who loves me no matter what."

"I hope you find someone like that someday, Rarity. You just don't need to give up...even though you're now in a marriage with somepony who did the marriage thing by accident."

"Thank you, Spike. You always do your best to be thoughtful of me."

Spike begins playing a bit on the piano. Both him and Rarity play briefly then play the piano together. Ben and Loudmouth smiles as both are smiling/smirking to each other. Spike and Rarity make quite a good pair despite the marriage thing. Suddenly Rarity herself yelps as her hoof comes off, playing near Spike.

Nevertheless, Rarity's hoof came to Spike's shoulder, making both chuckles. The white unicorn said, "Sorry about my enthusiasm."

"Oh that's okay, I like it." Spike said to Rarity gently. He put the hoof back onto Rarity's foreleg, both smile.

"I would be honest...if Ben and I weren't married...do you think..."

Suddenly the two were interrupted as a bell is heard ringing. Loudmouth yelps, "What the rawk?!"

Suddenly the chefs went crazy, running around while Lyra calls out, "Look dead, people! New arrival! We got a new arrival!"

"Lights up, make way!" Pinkie giggles as she bounces right into the room. Soon more monsters and undead things came into the room. The pink corpse smiles to Ben, saying, "If you wanna know what happened, we get excited whenever someone up there dies. Oh, I'm so nervicited!"

"That isn't a real word." Ben said to Pinkie doubtfully.

"Just let her. Pinkie is random." Spike insists to Ben with a chuckle. "Come on, may as well meet the new comer."

"Let's go, lad, hurry up!" Salty exclaims frantically for drinks and for everyone else to hurry up. He wants so much to meet the new dead arrival to the Underworld; May as well make him or her feel well at home.

"Hello, everyone; drinks for everyone! Do you want another pint, sir?" Mr. Cake asks Fancypants with a smile.

Fancypants split into two before both halves call out, "No, no. Just a half," Mr. Cake got to work, he whistles for some little Bushwoolies to carry the glass to Fancypants though they knock him down in the progress.

"Ugh! Why do I even bother anymore?"

"Welcoming committee, coming right through," Lyra exclaims as she shoves through the crowd. The mare grins while going up to the newcomer dead pony, "Hey there. The name is Lyra, Lyra Heartstrings."

"Hey, forget it. I am not interested!" The figure snaps as he tries to get away from Lyra. Ben looks shocked as the pony recognize that voice. Could it be?

"Ben; that sounded like...." Loudmouth begins to say in realization upon revealing who that voice belongs to.

"Noteworthy! Noteworthy! Oh man, it's good to see..." Ben begins to say eagerly as he and Loudmouth rush up to Noteworthy.

Of course the two stop as they saw the said pony turning to him. The servant of Ben's family is now blue and stitched up. It didn't take long for the two to reveal what happened: Noteworthy is dead; his bad health due to his smoking has done him in at last.

"Oh, Noteworthy, I'm sorry." Ben said in sadness and regret. He knew that Noteworthy's health was killing him and now that day has come.

"Oh that? I don't mind. I feel great now." Noteworthy remarks with a light chuckle as he breaths a bit. "I can breathe again."

"Yeah, ironic that you got killed before that could happen, lad; Rawk," Loudmouth chuckled with a sad smile.

"Glad to see you again, Loudmouth. But who is the dog with you, Ben?"

Ben, seeing Winona barking near him, smiles while saying, "Noteworthy, you remember my pet dog Winona, right?" The dog barks happily some more.

"Okay, hurry up, boys! This gentle-pony is parched, come on!" Mr. Cake orders sternly. Noteworthy grins as a cup of apple cider was given to him. He may be dead but at least the pony got a drink out of his death.

"Noteworthy, Loudmouth must get back. They all must be worried sick." Ben said seriously to Noteworthy. "Everyone, how are they; Mom, dad, Twilight?"

"Oh, most of the folks up there are still wondering where you ran off to, especially your parents. They are concerned for you." Noteworthy said to Ben with a shrug. "As for Miss Sparkle..."

"Aye; how is the lass," Loudmouth ask Noteworthy in curiosity. Even Ben must know if Twilight is doing all she can to get him back no matter what.

"Well, sorry, Ben, but she is getting married this evening."

"What?! Married to who?!" Ben gasps in shock and disbelief to Noteworthy. Twilight has decided to move on and get married?! Has she given up on him already?!

"Some newcomer," Noteworthy said, pausing to think. "Wait, I was wrong. It's your cousin Prince Blueblood!"

"But that's impossible! My cousin was a jerk! Twilight wouldn't marry him!"

"Unfortunately since you are gone, Twilight's parents may have decided to get rich big time." Loudmouth said in concern and worry to the shocked Ben. "They decided to marry her off to that fatso just to do so!"

"The parrot is right. With you gone and all, probably they all don't want to waste the cake." Noteworthy said to Ben with a shrug.

Ben looks stunned. Twilight is actually getting married? Is she going through with it? Doesn't her true love him anymore? As she truly gave up on him...thanks to his newfound marriage to Rarity?

"But how could she?" Ben asks in worry and sadness. He thought that Twilight was different than most mares in his life.

"Eh, mares; can't live with them. You can't live with..." Salty said drunkingly then he hiccups and fell to the floor of the place unconscious.

"Hey, hey; Twilight still loves Ben! Come on, she must be forced into this by her ugly parents!" Loudmouth protests to Ben and Noteworthy in concern. After all, why would Twilight just up and marry Blueblood? Not by choice, that's for sure!

"Well, sadly, it's best to pick up the pieces and move on, one can guess." Noteworthy said with a sigh. After all, Ben is trapped in the underworld, never to be with Twilight ever again...and the mare must be married as per her parents' wishes.

"And speaking of picking up the pieces," Spike said in concern. Everyone turns and saw Ben, depressed, leaving the room. "Oh man."

"Ben? Where are you going now?" Rarity calls after Ben in worry and concern. Oh dear, not again!

Twilight is more sadder than ever. She is now in her wedding clothes, ready to get married, but what's the point? The poor mare wishes to marry Twilight and with him, she has to marry his cousin instead!

As Twilight looks down in sadness, Fireblaze came in with Golden Heart, the former said, "Miss Sparkle, we better gets to the church now."

"Twilight...there's no reason to be sad." Golden Heart said to Twilight gently. "I'm sure that things will turn out fine."

"Yesterday, I was hoping that my wedding would be a happy one." Twilight said in sadness and regret. "But now...I feel like I was caught in the tide, being pulled out to sea..."

"The sea leads to a lot of places, Twilight." Fireblaze said, trying his best to cheer up Twilight. "Who knows? You could land somewhere better."

"Oh, I doubt it."

Golden Heart looks concerned. What is taking Pinkamena so long in getting out of the underworld?

Golden Heart couldn't believe how sad these turns of events are. Despite the fact that Twilight's wedding is going, Ben has yet to show up to try to stop it. The alicorn was forced to watch as Blueblood review his vows to the saddened Twilight.

"With this candle, I will light your way in darkness." Blueblood said, doing the vows more perfectly than Ben ever did. As he put the candle down, the male unicorn saw Jet Set motion him to move it along. Blueblood took out the ring and is ready to put it on his reluctant bride's hoof. "With this ring, I ask you to be...mine."

Soon the ring was put the stunned Twilight's hoof. The mare looks down in depression . Ben is not coming, he is trapped in that wedding with the corpse forever...there is no love or hope for Twilight oeft.

"I now pronounce you filly and gentlecolt." Nexus said, concluding the wedding.

No one cry in that church today, all but a certain grieving bride and she isn’t crying in joy…

Ben looks at the flowers that he was given in sadness while looking through the underworld. The poor Earth pony sighs in sadness. He was hoping to return to the mare that he himself loves...and now it's too late. Twilight has moved on and marry somepony else.

"I'm too late." Ben sighs as he throws the flowers to the ground.

"Not too late!" A voice exclaims crazily. Ben looks up to see a lookalike of Pinkie, only with a flatten mane bouncing in. "I am Pinkamena Diane Pie, Golden Heart's sister! Come on, I can get you out of here and back to Twiley!"

"Forget it. Twilight has moved one. She went to marry Blueblood. No surprise there, the guy has money...me, all I got is...well...this, I guess."

"Benny, hang on. There's something you must know! Twilight..."

Pinkamena was going to tell Ben how Twilight had no choice but to marry Blueblood but a familiar voice from the kitchen area interrupted her, "Lyra, I don't know what to do!" Out of curiosity, both Ben and Pinkamena peek into the area. As the chefs were cooking, Rarity was having a conversion with Lyra with Spike and Loudmouth watching. "I mean, Ben walked off without a word? Are all stallions like this?"

Lyra shrugs while removing a knife from one of the chef's heads to clean it up. The dead corpse said, "Not one of them are very bright, I'm afraid. They get something stuck in their heads and you can't do a thing with them at all."

"Hey, can you blame Benny?" Loudmouth asks Lyra with a frown. "His true love Twilight was marrying that jerk Blueblood while he is stuck down here in a dead end marriage with a stiff; Uh, no offense, Rarity."

Rarity was about to speak when a concerned Moochik came into the room. He spoke up, "Rarity, we must talk."

Bray was behind him smirks while shouting, "Come on! Can I tell her? Let me, let me; Ha ha ha!"

"Tell me what?" Rarity asks Bray in concern. What is this now?

"I'm afraid there is a...complication with your marriage." The Moochik spoke up grimly to Rarity. She, Spike, Loudmouth as well as the hiding Ben and Pinkamena looks concerned. What is the gnome talking about?

"I don't understand."

"Well, ever heard of the expression 'till death do you part'?"

"Oh yeah, that's simple. It's vows between living hosts when they get married." Spike explains to the Moochik, knowing what he's talking about. "They are binding until one or both die."

"Wait, what are you saying?" Rarity asks the Moochik and Spike at the same time, much to her concern.

"Death has already parted you." The Moochik said to Rarity grimly.

This announcement made Rarity gasp in worry while Ben, Pinkamena, Spike and Loudmouth look surprised. What the Moochik said made sense. Rarity herself was already dead when Ben 'married' her....but he is still alive! That means that the marriage is not legit at all! She is still cursed!

"You hear that Benny?" Pinkamena ask Ben with a smile. "You aren't married anymore. You can go home now and..."

"What's the point?" Ben asks Pinkamena grimly. "I may no longer be married but Twilight is by now. I don't know how I can move on without her..."

"Moochik, if Ben finds out, he will leave." Rarity said to the Moochik in worry. "Isn't there something you can do that can keep the marriage together?"

"Do you wanna stay with Ben because you love him or because you wanna get freed?" Loudmouth asks Rarity grimly, making the white unicorn concerned. "Yeah, I was told of your story and your lover."

"I...well...I think both, but still..."

"There is one way...but you aren't going to like it." The Moochik said to Rarity with a frown on his face. This made the white unicorn along with Spike, Loudmouth, Ben and Pinkamena surprised. There's a way to keep the Earth pony and the white unicorn's marriage together?

"Can I let her? Let me tell her, please!" Bray exclaims eagerly to the Moochik, much to Spike and Loudmouth's notice.

"It requires a great sacrifice."

"Come on, get to the good part, old gnome..."

"So what is it?" Rarity asks the Moochik in concern. What is this 'great sacrifice' that he spoke of?

Before the Moochik could answer, Bray beats him to it as he exclaims anxiously, "We must kill him!"

"What," Rarity, Spike and Loudmouth all yell out at once in shock and horror. Even Ben and Loudmouth looks stunned. The monsters are going to kill Ben just to secure his marriage to Rarity, even one that he didn't mean to want in the first place?!

"Hang on. I admit that we can't harm the living whenever we go upstairs but to kill him down here?" Spike asks the Moochik nervously and shocked. "Isn't that harsh? He's our friend! I can't bring myself to kill him!"

"Relax, Spike. We aren't going to kill him. Ben must do that himself willingly. You see, he must give up the life that he had forever." The Moochik explains as he turns some pages in a book that he brought, showing a poisoned bottle on one page. "Ben would need to repeat his vows in the land of the living and drink from the wine of ages."

"'Wine of ages'?" Loudmouth ask, getting worried by that part. "What does that even mean?"

"Poison," Rarity gasps in shock and horror. If anyone alive were to drink the wine, he or she will cease to desist!

"This stuff will stop his heart for all time. Only then would he be free to give it to you." The Moochik said with a grim nod.

Ben looks worried. To drink that stuff would mean that he would be dead and would never see his parents or anyone that he himself cares about again. The stallion was about to leave with Pinkamena when Ben saw a sad sight: Rarity is kneeling in depression .

"Oh, I could never ask him." Rarity said in sadness. She does not wish or have the heart (figuratively) to ask Ben to give up his life so she can stay with him.

Spike and Loudmouth looks concern....but Ben pauses to think then look serious as he came into the room, much to their and Pinkamena's notice. The Earth pony said, "You don't have to. I will do it."

"What," Spike, Loudmouth and Pinkamena ask in both shock and alarm.

"You realize that once you choose this path, you may never return to the world above. Do you understand?" The Moochik ask seriously to Ben, reminding him of the sacrifice that the living one will make should he agrees to kill himself.

As Ben helps Rarity up, he spoke with a nod, "Yeah, I do." Both the Earth pony and unicorn nods a bit.

As Rarity and the Moochik head off to make preparations, Spike said to Ben, "Ben! What are you doing? You're actually going to kill yourself to keep Rarity's marriage with you?! I mean, I thought you never wanted to be married to her!"

"And what about Twilight," Loudmouth ask Ben in sadness.

"Twilight has moved on without me...I cannot continue living without her. Besides, I would never forgive myself if I leave Rarity, saddened and without a love." Ben explains to his friends with a sigh. "Maybe in due time...I will get used to being her husband. Spike, I know how about you love her but...well..."

"Yeah, I understand." Spike said while looking down in depression . "Just promise me that you would treat her better as I would."

"I promise."

A while later, the group along with Rarity, the Moochik and Bray has gathered the undead all around them for a big announcement.

"All right, ponies; gather around; gather around." Ben said as the undead corpses prepare to listen, wondering what this is all about.

"Hoo boy; at this rate, this will end up in heartbreak for some other pony and it won't be Benny or Rarity." Pinkamena said while she shakes a bit. "And this is a doozy!"

"Ssh, I wanna hear!" Salty exclaims to Pinkamena sternly.

"We are going to do this properly. So grab what you can and follow us." Ben explains to the undead ones with a nod. "This wedding party will be moved upstairs!"

"Upstairs; I didn't know that we even got one!" An undead Pegasi pony exclaims to another one named Lightning Dust who smiles at the situation, "Sounds awesome!"

Pipsqueak turns to a foal corpse named Dinky Doo, saying, "Sounds creepy." Winona barks a bit.

"Yeah, let's go!" Dinky exclaims with glee. Everyone prepare themselves as a chorus begins to sing.

Chorus: A wedding, a wedding, We're going to have a wedding

As Ben prepares to go, Photo stops him while saying, "Ack! Hold it, Benjamin! You can't get married in zat!" The corpse pony whistles as her spiders came over causing Ben to yelp in spook. They got to work as the spiders fix his clothes, changing bits of it.

 

Spider Chorus: The spiders think you're very cute, but goodness knows you need a suit.
But have no fears, we're quite adept, we'll have you looking lovely, lovely, lovely
Lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely yet

As the spiders continue, Ben laughs while being tickled a bit.

A little stitch, a little tuck, some tender loving care.
A little thread will fix you up and we've got plenty as you see,
And personally guarantee our quality repairs.
A little here, a fix of this, We're going to do our best.
When everybody sees you, they will all be quite impressed.
They will all be quite impressed.

Once the clothing is fixed, Ben poses to an undead Earth pony named Professor Whack and an undead Pegasi named Blazing Valor, much to their approval.

Both: A wedding, we're going to have

We now see Lyra smirking while planning a wedding cake.

Lyra: A wedding cake is no mistake, it must be quite sublime

Staff Cook 1: We're missing something

Staff Cook 2: Try some dust

The staff put in an ingredient.

Lyra: I wish I had more time

Staff Cook 1: Perhaps there's something I can do, these bones might help a bit

However without warning, the staff accidentally knock the other member's nose off right onto the cake.

However, he accidentally knocked the nose off of the other member.

Staff Cook 2: Oh, my nose.

Staff Cook 1: Sorry.

Lyra on the other hoof scoops the nose up and taste the cake with a grin.

Lyra: Wait a minute, that's it

All: The perfect cake is hard to miss

We're going to have a wedding!

As a soldier pony prepares himself, the other soldiers sing in on the song.

Soldiers Chorus: Huzzah! Huzzah! We're going to have a wedding.

Let's all give out a cheer cause the bride is getting married today! Hurray!
One thing you can surely say is we will stand beside
Until the end, we will defend our one and only bride.

Tex: Oh, there she is.

Salty: Here she comes.

Soon everyone saw Rarity coming in with a bouquet, trotting downstairs gracefully. Loudmouth notices Spike trying his best not to cry...in sadness. The baby Dragon is doing his best to brave but how can he since the mare that Spike loves is marrying somepony else?

Female Chorus: Ohhhhhh....the bride is here.
She's waited for this day for many a year.
For this day, for this day.
Our hopes and our pride.
The bride is here.
Here comes the bride

The spiders then put the veil crown onto Rarity. She smiles, dancing right to the waiting Ben.

Here comes the bride
Here comes the bride
For this day, for this day will last forever
And all of her friends will work together.
To make it the perfect day she's always dreamed.
Our hopes and our pride.
Our bride, our lovely bride.

As the song is about to finish, the cake is done and everyone is ready. The undead, skeletons and the whatnot are about to head to the land of the living for the biggest wedding that both sides has ever seen.

Group Chorus: We're going to have a party like no-one has ever seen.
The Living in the land above will not know where they've been.
The Land above..(the Land above)
The party of...(the party of)
The Bride!!!
Here comes the bride.
On her glorious day of days.
Up to the Land of the Living to celebrate!!!

Once the song is done, Pinkamena looks worried. There may be heartbreak if this whole thing is done. What will happen next is up to the lovers themselves.

Time for another wedding...from the Underworld. Spooky, eh? In the next and final chapter, the undead invades the land of the living for the wedding. Secrets will be revealed as Ben takes on Blueblood. And in the end, will Rarity be freed of her curse at last? Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 8: Unholy Matrimony!

The marriage is a complete success. Twilight is now married to Blueblood (unwilling of course). Once the wedding is over, the family and friends went back to the mansion for an after wedding party. As Twilight sat depressed near Golden Heart, Caramel brought a small cake to everyone.

Blueblood clears his throat as if about to make to speech but notices that one of his relatives is snoring while a lot of ponies aren't doing much of anything, especially Shining and Cadance who aren't thrilling to be here at all.

"Ahem!" Blueblood snaps sternly. Caramel took a glass and taps it...too hard to the point of breaking the thing but at least this woke the sleeping pony up. "Yes, as I was saying, everyone, quiet down. Thank you."

"You know, I wish Ben was still around." Cadance whispers to Shining in concern. "He deserves to be with Twilight, not this idiot who calls himself my cousin."

"I know; same here too," Shining remarks quietly and in agreement. "If my real parents were still here, they wouldn't put Twiley up to this."

"My fellow ponies: Elegant, cultured and radiant. Twilight Sparkle has got a new husband with all these qualities and more." Blueblood said to everypony with a smirk on his face. "Serendipity is what brought us both together...and not any force in Equestria will ever tear us apart."

Suddenly, as if the forces of another plain wish to disagree otherwise, everything went black, much to everyone's confusion and shock. Then green flames came right out of the fireplace, knocking Twilight right out of her depression .

Soon, things got a bit hecky when without warning the undead appears from behind the chairs, much to the shock of most of the relatives in the room. One of the corpses' eyes fell right into Caramel's bowl.

Caramel blinks as he scoops up the eyeball with his spoon before speaking, "Errr, Jet Set? There's an eye in my soup."

"Not so loud or everypony would want one!" Golden Heart jokes a bit. Suddenly almost every pony screams as they, especially the married couple, got worried. "Well, I thought it was funny."

One of the relatives yelps as Slugger accidentally pinch him with his sword, causing the corpse to apologize, "Oops, sorry about that."

"Hide!" Blueblood screams in terror as he hides under the table, much to the amusement of Golden Heart and concern of Twilight watching.

"Champion you ain't." Golden Heart teases a bit. He watch as Upper Crust screams in terror upon seeing the barking Winona.

"Horte, get me musket, I NEED IT!" Jet Set screams to Horte for his musket to fire at these monsters.

However, to Jet's shock, a frowning Horte leaves the room with suitcases on his back. He snaps, "Get it yourself. I quit!"

The madness continues on as one of the mares scream due to Mr. Cake going in and out of her skirt, unknown to him as he heads off, "Coming through, excuse me!"

Blueblood looks around frantically at the madness happening then yelps as he saw Pipsqueak and Dinky laughing playing to him. The colt giggles, "You look weird and dumb, unicorn."

"Tell me about it." Dinky remarks to her playmate playfully.

A stallion named Hoity Toity gasps as he saw Bray coming nearby, saying, "Excuse me. Betcha you don't know me but I used to live in your dead ma." Hoity answers by screaming in terror, galloping off from the donkey.

"What is going on here, Shining?" Cadance ask in alarm as she saw the undead going amuck throughout the house.

"I don't know, but I doubt these things are here for the party." Shining said to his wife in concern. What could've caused the undead to come out from out of nowhere like this?

A dead Pegasi named Soarin' chases a beautiful living Pegasus mare. The former laughs, "Hang on, come back! I love a mare with meat on her bones!"

The relatives kept on screaming as they run to escape the arriving undead. Twilight looks more stunned than ever at this sight, but some of her is hoping that maybe Ben is among the dead. Maybe she could see him again!

"Caramel, Fireblaze, thanks for staying by my side throughout this." Jet Set said to his servants, believing that Caramel and Fireblaze are the only ones still behind to help.

"Shows what you know! I quit! Fight your own battles!" Caramel exclaims angrily to Jet Set as he gallops off to make his escape from this madness as well as his former employer.

"Plus, after what you and Upper did to Twilight, we aren't working for you anymore. Good day!" Fireblaze remarks as he gallops out of the room as well. Jet Set couldn't believe it. Most of his servants have went and left him in this madness!

"Jet, who invited these things," Upper Crust demands to her husband while looking at the undead in horror.

"How should I know," Jet Set snaps to his wife right back, "Must be from your side of the family!"

"I hope not!"

"I'm so glad that Twilight's real parents were not here to see this! Otherwise, they would be turning in their graves right about now!"

"Is that so, Jet?" A voice demands to Jet Set sternly. To his and Upper Crust's horror, they saw two corpses of two familiar ponies that they know of glaring at them: Twilight's real parents Night Light and Twilight Velvet! The undead stallion remarks sarcastically, "By the way, where do you keep the spirits?"

"And what's this about you mistreating my daughter that I keep hearing about?!" Twilight Velvet demands to Jet Set suspiciously.

The adopted ones respond by screaming in terror and running away quickly into their bedroom, slamming the door on their way in and locking themselves in the room itself. They rather not deal with anymore insanity tonight!

"Mom, dad," Shining gasps as he saw the corpses of his parents. "Is that you two?"

"Yeah, it is us, Shining," Night Light said to Shining with a grin. "Sorry for dropping in unannounced. Your mother, the rest of the dead and I are here to attend a wedding."

"Sorry to break your bubble but you're too late. Twilight is already married." Cadance explains to Twilight's parents with a sad sigh. It's ashamed that the mare's real parents couldn't see their filly's wedding in time.

"Although it pains me to miss it, that wasn't the wedding that Night Light was preferring to." Twilight Velvet said, much to Shining and Cadance's confusion. What wedding is she referring to if it wasn't Twilight's?

“In other news....THE DEAD WALK THE PLANET," An announcer screams out to the folks of the town. Sure enough, the ponies scream in terror as the undead appears, running amuck or whatever it is that they are doing while heading for the wedding.

As the undead goes near the folks, a stallion named Brian waves a mallet in hopes to defend himself. He yells out, "Back away, back, don't try it! Get back! I will swing you a new one!"

The undead however looks concerned as if they aren't really trying to harm the living. The ponies look frightened...but then, Apple Bloom blinks a bit as she goes over to an undead Earth pony couple who looks like cowponies.

"Apple Bloom, no! Git back," Applejack exclaims to her sister in horror. But Apple Bloom just got closer to the dead Earth ponies, much to the living ponies' horror. Is she crazy?! Those monsters are going to kill her!

"Yeah," The dead male cowpony ask as he glances at Apple Bloom as if recognizing her.

The undead cowpony mare smiles as she picks up Apple Bloom. The living ones gasp in horror, fearing the worst. But then, something unsuspecting happens that will change this confrontation.

"Ma; Pa," Apple Bloom ask the two undead cowponies hopefully.

Granny Smith gasps as she recognizes the two dead ponies as Applejack's dead parents, "Gadzooks! Could it be you two?"

"Ma, pa!" Applejack exclaims with tears in her eyes as she and Big Macintosh rush over to their parents, happy to see them again since their demise. As the living Apple siblings hugs the two parents, the rest of the crowd awww at this scene happily.

Brian frantically attacked Pinkie who doesn't seem to notice or care as she bounces over playfully him. The stallion screams, "Bounder, whatever that means!"

"Sweet cheeks," Pinkie giggles to Brian happily.

"Monster!"

"Handsome!"

"Cad," Brian exclaims as he kept on the assault on Pinkie who for some reason wants so much to be with him.

"Brian!" Pinkie exclaims. Brian stops his assault and looks shocked as he recognize the pink pony as someone that Brian never thought to see again since her demise.

"Pinkie; is that you?"

"Mmm-hmm."

Brian, happy yet still shocked to see his since dead missing love, continues, "But you're all..."

Pinkie giggles as she hugs Brian, "Dead? Yeah, I know...but personally, I don't give a hoot."

The living eventually calm down as they happily realize the truth: the dead aren't truly monsters; they are still the same ponies that the living once knew when the dead were still alive. Many ponies are soon reunited with their loved ones, mostly living with the dead. This includes Noteworthy who shakes a fisher pony's hoof while Winona happily greets another dog.

It was during this time that Celestia and Jack, having survived their crash earlier, came onto the scene and look surprised. The living and the dead are mingling together, reunited without any scene of horror or terror whatsoever!

"Hmmm, apparently the living has decided that the dead isn't terrible but rather since dead loved ones that they once knew." Celestia said with a soft smile. It's glad to know that the undead has finally been appreciated against.

"Ay. I'm shocked to see this though." Jack said with a nod. "At least I don't see anyone we know being dead in the crowd."

"Ahoy Captain Silver, Princess Celestia," Noteworthy said with a smile as he trots over to his former employers, much to their shock. "Glad to see you again so soon."

"Noteworthy; what happen to ye?!"

"Oh, my bad health finally caught up to me. I died a few hours or so ago."

"Oh dear. I was afraid of this." Celestia said in concern and sadness to her shocked husband. "All that smoking finally brought the end of him. I've warned you that we should've taken Noteworthy to a hospital."

"Arrr, crud," Jack groans in guilt and sadness. He failed to realize that Noteworthy really needed mental health but just push it off like the whole coughing was just to annoy him! "Noteworthy, I am so sorry."

"Oh, it’s okay, Jack. No harm done." Noteworthy said to Jack with a slight chuckle. "On the off side, at least all that blasting coughing is now gone. Well, gotta get going. Your son's wedding will soon begin."

"Son's wedding?!" Celestia and Jack gasps in shock and alarm upon hearing that. Is it true then?! All of it?!

The mansion is now empty of corpses. Blueblood came out of hiding, looking around while asking, "Are they all gone?"

"Yeah, every last dead one is gone. You can stop trying to be a hero now." Golden Heart teases a bit, making Blueblood frowns a bit.

"All right, that's it. Twilight, get whatever loot that you can get your hooves on! We're leaving!"

"Loot, what loot?" Twilight ask, confused as to what Blueblood is talking about all of the sudden.

"Come on, your dowry, remember?" Blueblood reminds Twilight in frustration. Doesn't this foolish unicorn know what he's talking about?! "It is my right!"

"But my adopted parents don't have any money ! My marriage to you is the only thing that would save them from the poorhouse!"

"What?! Poorhouse?!"

"Yes, and I know you aren't really rich at all, Bluejerk." Golden Heart said to Blueblood sternly. "I contacted your mother before the wedding. As it turns out, she cut off your access to your riches so you're practically broke! So technically, you are only marrying Twilight just for the money that you will never see."

Blueblood looks outraged, he went through all this trouble, only to find out that Twilight is broke?! He shakes Golden Heart furiously while yelling, "You're lying about me and her! It isn't true! Tell me that you're lying!'

"Sorry, but apparently Golden Heart isn't a liar. I guess things didn't go according to your plan, isn't it Blueblood?" Twilight ask her new husband dryly as she shoves him away. "Well, maybe in disappointment, we are perfectly matched after all."

"But...but I don't have any loot either! Well, on the plus side, you're still married to me so I can still make your life miserable!"

"Not while I'm around." Golden Heart snaps sternly as he pushes the creep away. "Come on, Twilight. Let's find, Ben. I'm sure that with this undead business , he and my sister are up here somewhere."

"Your threats don't matter to me, Blueblood. Take this dump and everything in it. I don't care; none of it is mine anyway!"

Twilight and Golden Heart storm out of the room. Blueblood glares angrily. No one dares make a fool out of him and gets away with it. Somepony must pay one way or another...

As Twilight and Golden Heart head outside, they look surprised to see the random monsters mingling with the living...and not even hurting them at all! Amazing!

"This day has been weird." Twilight said with a nod. She and Golden Heart head off to where the undead is heading: the church.

Nexus opens the church door and is preparing to leave but looks shocked upon seeing the undead arriving to the place. The day has come, the apocalypse has arrived!

"Be gone, you demons from Tartarus! Back to the realm from whence you came! You shall not enter here!" Nexus exclaims as he grabs a cross with his magic and waves it to the undead, "Back, get back all of you!"

"Keep it down, will ya? We're in a church!" Applejack's dad hushes to Nexus with a frown. The unicorn looks surprised at that respect even from the dead.

As the undead heads into the church, Pinkie passes by while saying, "Evening!”

The inside of the church looks packed as the living and dead sat down in certain parts of the church. Jack and Celestia are amongst the audience sitting next to Loudmouth who had told them everything that happened. They are shocked to hear that Twilight is right: Ben is going to marry an undead corpse...and worst yet, there isn't anything that the two could do. Ben's mind is set.

Ben stood in the front, Spike as his best man stood near him while the Moochick is the Minster of the night. Soon the wedding march plays as everyone looks back to see Rarity arriving. She smiles while heading to Ben gracefully. Spike cries, doing his best to keep himself under control. But how could he since Rarity is going to marry someone else right in front of him?

Rarity soon arrives and held Ben's hoof. The Moochik opens the bottle that held the poison that will end Ben's life forever. Once the march came to a stop, the gnome begins, "Dearly beloved and departed, we are gathered here today to join this stallion and this corpse in marriage."

During this time, Twilight and Golden Heart sneaks into the church. The mare gasps, seeing a shocking sight in front of there. There's Ben at the altar with Rarity; Looks like he is really going through with the marriage.

"Ben?" Twilight ask in worry.

A familiar group of dead parents hush her, with Twilight Velvet whispering, "Twilight, please be quiet. We must hear this."

"Wait, mom, dad? Is that you?"

"Yeah, it's us, Twiley." Night Light said to Twilight with a warm smile. "It's good to see you again despite us no longer being part of this plain."

Twilight looks on as the wedding continues onward. The poor mare looks sad, her beloved is marrying a corpse...she should reject...but no. Perhaps it's for the best. After all, it's Ben's decision to marry Rarity and who could blame him? She practically betrayed him by marrying Blueblood, even though the female unicorn had no choice in the matter. Perhaps it's best to trot aside and let this be.

As Pinkamena looks concerned, the Moochik spoke to Ben, "Living first."

Ben nods and clears his throat. He speaks to Rarity while holding the cup, "With this hoof...I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty...for I will be your wine." Jack and Celestia looks impressed. Their son actually did his vows right. They wish that he said them to Twilight though.

"Now you, Rarity."

Pinkamena saw Twilight in the back, the sight of seeing this is breaking her heart. The mare saw Spike looks heartbroken. She knows what's happening; both lovers are losing their true love.

"Please, someone do the right thing." Pinkamena mumbles quietly to herself. "For Celestia's sake..."

As Rarity speaks, she smiles to Ben and took the bottle, pouring the poison right into it, "With this hoof, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty. For I will be..."

Rarity stops and gasps. She saw Twilight with Golden Heart in the back with the family peeking to get a better look. What is that purple unicorn doing here? Just then, Rarity felt worried as did the living Twilight herself. The white unicorn wants to be married...be freed of her curse...but would it mean hurting Twilight's heart as a result of doing so?

Rarity continues though a bit hesitant, "I will be..."

"Yes, go on." The Moochik urges to Rarity with a nod. No one is aware of Twilight's presence (well,. no one but her family at least).

"Why is she hesitating?" Shining ask Cadance puzzled.

"I think I know. Rarity just saw Twilight and a conflict is forming in her mind." Cadance explains as she saw Twilight looking down in sadness, apparently wanting to leave. "Rarity is not sure whenever she should go through with this wedding...or not."

Rarity hesitates as she continues onward, "Your cup...will never empty...for I will be..."

Ben, thinking that Rarity is having trouble with her vows, helps her by saying, "I will be your wine."

Ben took the goblet, preparing to drink the wine. Everyone else watch on, this could be it...but then something unexpected happen: Rarity stops the stallion from drinking the poison in time, much to the surprise of the audience and Twilight.

"Hey, is she having second thoughts?" Pinkie asks another corpse in surprise. The living ponies and the undead looks worried. Why is Rarity suddenly stopping Ben? Spike meanwhile looks up, smiling a bit in hope. Could this mean what he thinks it means?

"I...I can't." Rarity said with a sad sigh.

"What's wrong?" Ben ask in concern. He begins to turn his head as if his bride has something distracting her but Rarity stops him to continue speaking to him directly.

"This, this is what's wrong. I was a bride but my dreams were taken from me; And...I feared that I became worst by taking them from sonepony else. Ben, I love you...but only as a friend now. You aren't mine."

"She's right. You belong to somepony else." Spike said, speaking up for the first time since before the announcement began. The Dragon now pointed to down the aisle causing Ben to look to see a familiar mare with her family.

"Twilight," Ben exclaims in happiness. He is so happy to see her since he was taken by her by force by Rarity.

As everyone else watch on, Twilight, followed by Golden Heart, come down the aisle to Ben, looking concerned. Rarity gave a sad smile as she held the living unicorn's hoof and put Ben's on her. The lovers smile, reunited for the first time in a while.

"Things are now right once more." Golden Heart said with a smile as he saw this scene happening.

Twilight took the wine goblet from Ben so she could hug him. Of course, the mare was about to absent-mindedly, Pinkamena rams through her, took the goblet and put it on a stand before. She says "Don't you dare drink that wine."

"Oops, right, sorry." Twilight said a bit sheepishly as she quickly put the goblet on a podium nearby. Apparently the unicorn almost came close to death herself!

"Twilight, why did you marry to Blueblood," Ben ask Twilight, still hurt that his love has married Blueblood as if she gave up on him.

"I didn't want to but my adopted jerks of parents forced into it!"

"Well what you not know is that he plans to kill Twilight." Pinkamena said seriously to the two and everyone else.

"Awww, how touching." A familiar voice spoke up in amusement. Everyone turn to see a familiar white unicorn entering the church, wiping a tear right off. "I usually cry at these kinds of weddings."

As Twilight gasps in alarm, Ben exclaims in anger upon seeing his cousin, "Blueblood?!"

"Ben. It's great for you to be together with Miss Sparkle like this. Now you and her could live happily ever after." Blueblood mocks his cousin as he came down and right over to Ben with an angry glare. "But perhaps you don't remember, she is still my wife!"

To everypony's shock, Blueblood grabs Twilight and held her by her neck; Night Light yells out, "Release our daughter!"

"Right, she doesn't belong to you, wife or no!" Twilight Velvet exclaims in agreement as Shining steps in, ready to help his sister.

"She is mine until death do we part and I tend to make sure that happens!" Blueblood exclaims in anger and determination. It appears nothing can stop him now.

But then Rarity looks shock as she looks at Blueblood. Suddenly the mare recognize while gasping, "Blueblood!" The white unicorn looks shocked as he saw Rarity, somehow recognizing her as well!

"Rarity; is that you?"

"Well, this oughta be fun." Bray remarks to the others in amusement.

Rarity glares angrily at Blueblood while snapping, "You!"

"Rarity, what a surprise," Blueblood exclaims to Rarity nervously. "Why, when I last left you..."

"Is when you left me for dead, killing me for my dowry!"

"Wait, wait; hang on! You mean, this jerk was the reason you are now dead, he’s the same former Fiancée from your story?!" Spike asks Rarity who nods angrily to him. The baby Dragon looks towards Blueblood furiously. "Pal, I don't know if I should hurt you or thank you. Although her death gave me the opportunity to meet Rarity in the first place, you were the one who killed."

"Well, well, now I can see how tragedy took your former fiancée." Jack remarks as he and Celestia gave an angry glare to their nephew. "Ye killed her yourself!"

"Rawk; Fat murdering Blueblood," Loudmouth exclaims angrily and in agreement with his boss.

"Now hang on, this mare is delusional! I have never seen her before in my life," Blueblood protests, trying to sound innocent in this madness. However, everyone living and dead glare at him. He is no longer fooling anyone. Quickly he grabs a knife out of Slugger's body, placing it near Twilight's neck. "Well, as much as I hate to 'cut' things short, Twilight and I must be on or way."

However Ben stops Blueblood from leaving, snapping, "Get your hooves off of Twilight."

"Oh, so you wish to be dead, Benjamin; Fine, after your lover!"

As undead come, Blueblood is ready to kill Twilight, only for another knife to hit Blueblood's knife out of his hoof, allowing Twilight to get out of his hold and escape. Pinkamena grabs her and the other knife as she gets to Golden Heart's side and says, "Welll even if the undead came at least, I got Ben here."

"I see but we better guard Twilight." Golden Heart said to Pinkamena with a nod.

"Ok."

"Ben, catch!" Loudmouth yells as he then throws the Master Sword to Ben, who catches it in time.

"Thanks, Loudmouth. En garde," Ben exclaims as he waves the Master Sword at Blueblood who grabs another sword from Slugger.

"The Master Sword, hmm; and I see your blade is as big as mine." Blueblood taunts his cousin/enemy in amusement.

"Nah...mine's bigger."

"Now we'll see how well you...handle it."

Blueblood charges at Ben and clangs his weapon against Ben's. The assault causes the cup to almost fall down but the Moochik grabs it in time. As the living and dead watch on, both relatives clash their swords against one another like mad. Ben got the advantage, stabbing his cousin in the flank with the sword, causing Blueblood to scream in pain like a filly.

In fury, Blueblood slashes, only for him to cut Mr. Cake's hat, causing the chef who almost hit to jump up while yelling, "Whoa; Careful!"

The fight continues on like mad. Fancypants in concern spoke to Blueblood, "I say, you aren't playing fair," The evil unicorn slashes and miss. He was about to hit the fancy unicorn but Fancypants split himself in two in time.

"Oh my," Both sides of Fancypants exclaims in alarm.

Almost everyone glares at Blueblood who looks nervous before he points to Ben, saying, "Uh....he did it!"

"What?!" Ben yells angrily as he attacks Blueblood, only for him to block. The villain hits a chair that Ben hid behind during the fight but Ben quickly slashes at his suit, cutting it much to Blueblood's anger.

"You dumb pony! You know how much this outfit cost?!"

Blueblood in fury clangs his blade against the Master Sword while Ben does his best to block. The weapons kept on flinging before the hero quickly ducks under the chair, only to yelp as Blueblood's sword almost hit him when it slash through the seat that made a new hole in the progress, "Gah!"

Ben think quickly as he uses the use the hole to hit one of Blueblood's lower hooves, making him yell in pain. The two fighters got back up but the villain was quick to knock the hero's sword away. Ben gulps as Blueblood smirks evilly. The ponies gasps in horror, this could be the end. However, no one saw Rarity galloping over to Ben was in a big hurry.

Soon it happen: everyone gasps as a stabbing sound is heard. But to their surprise, Ben didn't take the blow...it was a certain corpse unicorn and former lover of Blueblood himself.

"Sorry, 'honey', you missed." Rarity taunts Blueblood as she pulls out the villain's sword from himself, holding it near him.

Blueblood was about to attack but a growling Spike jumps, shooting out flames and forcing the villain to come back. The baby Dragon snarls angrily, "You lost, Blueblood. You will not harm Rarity! She will not suffer any more of your abuse!!!" The white unicorn looks surprised...and smiles warmly. Spike cares for her; Rarity can sense what his emotions are at this point.

"Like he said; now get out."

"I agree. Blueblood, you are to leave this town and never return!" Celestia exclaims sternly to her wicked nephew. "Also, I am hereby declaring your marriage to Twilight Sparkle null and void and I am kicking you out of the family! You are now and forever an outcast!!!"

Despite the fact that Blueblood now knows that he has been kicked out of the family and his marriage to Twilight is now annulled, this doesn't bother him at all. He smirks while saying sarcastically, "Oh yes, I will be leaving, yes. Hee hee hee," The unicorn then grabs a cup, the same one still full with poison but apparently he doesn't know that, "But how about a toast? To my dear Rarity...Always the bridesmaid and never the bride forever! Tell me, dear, can a heart break now that it's stopped beating?"

Rarity looks stunned. Blueblood, that monster is mocking her, taunting the fact that she will never find true love ever again. The undead looks outraged by the unicorn's wicked actions and words. How dare he kept on hitting Rarity while she's down like this!

"Grr, let me at him, I will bite his horn off!" Bray growls furiously as he prepares to jump at Blueblood. But the Moochik stops the donkey from going further. "Don't hold me back! He must pay."

"No, we are amongst the living and in their world. We must follow their rules." The Moochik explains grimly to Bray. It's true. When the dead are in the land of the living, they cannot harm anyone alive. The dead looks angry that Blueblood is going to get away with this and they can't do a thing about it.

"Well said, old freak, well said!" Blueblood laughs evilly. He proceeds in drinking from the goblet and toss it aside, leaving. Looks like the villain is going to win after all...

But then Blueblood stops as he groans, gasping in pain, yelping and screaming. The living and dead watch this happening while Bray and Spike smirks wickedly. The foolish foal has drunk the poison and that means...

"Oh, not anymore," Bray remarks with a sinister chuckle, knowing what is now happening.

Blueblood can gasp in more pain until he stops. The stallion looks confused then gasps as his body became blacken blue, stitched up and his hair looks like it's decaying.

"What's going on?" Blueblood gasps in fear as he turns around, seeing himself over. The evil unicorn realize the shocking truth: he is now dead!

"Hmmm, well Moochik, you were saying?" Spike asks the Moochik slyly.

"Eh, never mind. You're right." The Moochik remarks to Bray with a shrug then he turns to the dead. "You all can take him now."

With Blueblood now dead, the undead gave evil grins as they came over to the stallion who screams in terror as Pinkie pushes him over to Lyra and the monsters, saying, "Have fun, ponies!"

"No, please, don't! I'm too handsome to be dead! SOMEPONY! AUNTIE CELESTIA, RARITY, HELP ME!!!!" Blueblood screams in fear as the undead drag him right out of the room. They are going to take him back to the underworld to punish the wicked unicorn for his crimes.

The Moochik, Bray, Noteworthy, Winona, Spike, Pinkie and Rarity are the only undead ones left as Lyra chuckle mischievously while closing the door, "New arrival." She slams the said door shut and by the sounds of Blueblood's screaming, his punishment is going to be a very terrible one indeed .

"Well, well, looks like meanie dumbie Bluey is now a deadie." Pinkie giggles a bit. "Any regrets, Rarity?"

"For him killing me? Never," Rarity snaps furiously to Pinkie. She sighs and smiles to Spike. "Although, he did do something right when that creep killed me..."

The Moochik proceeds to bottle up the wine, seeing how there is no further use for it now. As Celestia and Jack smiles in approval, Twilight and Ben hug one another, reunited, safe and alive.

"Ben, I thought I would never see you again." Twilight said, tears coming out of her eyes. She is happy to be reunited with her true love like this.

"Well, little sister, things are doing better from here on in." Golden Heart said to Pinkamena with a grin on his face.

"Yep; Loving it," Pinkamena giggles a bit. Rariy smiles as she prepares to hear the church, much to everyone else's notice, "Rarity? Where are you going?"

"Wait, I made a promise." Ben said in concern. He promised to be with Rarity to set her free.

Rarity stops and smiles, saying, "Darling...you did keep your promise. You set me free." The white unicorn soon took off the ring that Ben gave to her by mistake and use her magic to give it back to Ben >"Now, it's time I do the same thing. Plus...I already found my real true love."

To Spike's surprise, Rarity picks him up and hugs him. The baby Dragon asks hopefully, "Rarity, does this mean..."

"Yes. I am so sorry for not realizing this before. You are my real true love who cared for me."

"Well, in that case..."

As Rarity hugs Spike, the two were nearly out of the church as the wind blew gently. The two new lovers look at their friends before the white unicorn the bouquet . Granny Smith caught it then spots Bray smirking at her slyly. She hits him with her purse angrily before tossing the bouquet to Twilight who caught it.

"Thanks you." Twilight said with a smile.

Twilight and Ben smile to each other and kiss. They watch as Rarity and Spike smile to their friends before going outside. The two sighs then kiss one another. The white unicorn and baby Dragon soon transform into butterflies that flew towards the moonlight.

As Ben, Twilight, Celestia, Jack and everyone else left came out to watch, the wedded couple hug each other and watch as Rarity and Spike flew off, disappearing. Now the corpse bride will finally rest in peace...
