But soon, the flames will fade, and only dark will remain.

Even now, there are only embers, and ponykind sees not light, but only endless nights.

And amongst the living are seen, carriers of the accursed Darksign

The First Flame smolders in its klin, and Celestia, Queen of Cinders, lays dying. Once an all-powerful god of sunlight, the mare sacrificed her power to prolong the Age of Fire, and thus revitalize her kin. But in doing so, she unleashed a plague upon the land, and doomed it to the Dark. The Undead journey to her home of Lordran, in hopes of Linking the flame, and prolonging the golden age that Celestia and her fellow Lords brought about. To ensure that she doesn't run out of kindling for her fire, she summons ponies from other worlds, and forces them to endure the hardship of Undeath so the Age of Fire can last forever.

But not all of her summons are willing. Some would rather die than serve an unknown master. Some would rather rot in the Undead Asylum. And some... some are willing to bring about the Age of Dark.

What will Twilight do when she is forcefully drawn to the Asylum, and branded with the Darksign?

Can she live through a million deaths and earn her legacy?
