Jason and Fawkes walked out of Twilight's castle into the sunlight, the Wanderer craning his neck back to converse with the Meta-Human.

"And so, I swung at... the beast, saving the striped one. He lead me... here, so then I started searching for you," Fawkes said.

"And that search ended up bringing you to the same place I stayed at. If only I had those kinds of odds back in the Wasteland."

"Ha! Indeed! I was worried I... would not get to see you once more!"

"Gotta say though, I'm surprised things like that Cragodile even exist in this world. Guess what ever God is in charge of this place needed some monsters to balance out the whole 'slice of paradise' thing this place has going for it."

"Yes, I... heard of those, slaving dog creatures. From the little white and purple, one."

The two sat on the stairs to the entrance, Fawkes crouching down on the lowest step while Jason sat atop the highest in an attempt to shorten the distance between them.

"Has there been... anything else, of note that you... have gotten involved with? That blue, one back... there, she seemed to be fond of you!" Fawkes said.

"Ugh, don't even pretend. She acts like a female Sticky," Jason said, scowling at nothing.

Fawkes growled at the mention of the bastard, fists clenching as he pounded his knees.

"Damned miserable excuse for... a Human!"

"Yeah, I know. Can't even try tolerating her, but she did say something that I thought I should follow up on."

Fawkes took several deep breaths before motioning for him to continue.

"The small white and purple filly? Sweetie something, in there? Her sister was a bit of a bitch when we met, and apparently she wants to apologize. I thought about doing that, but are you gonna be alright? Can't imagine what you went through just to catch up with me."

"I will be fine... my friend. You just, make sure that... you do not do something that will, make us regret... being stuck here."

"Right. Well, I better- wait! Hold on! Sarah Lyons! Did she make it out?"

"Yes. A Vertibird... picked her up. The Brotherhood, they found... a massive, airship."

"Huh. Wish I could have seen that at least."

Jason stood up and walked down the road.

"Fawkes, if you ever get into trouble or just need me, just whistle for Dogmeat. Big fella 'oughta be able to find either of us by smell alone."

"I don't think I'll need, the canine's help... to find your scent, my friend."

Jason smirked at the Meta Human before walking down the path towards Ponyville.

Colonel Autumn examined the line-up of Griffons before him. Many were in terrible conditions, some barely able to stand under their own coughing fits while some were frail and brittle from malnutrition. A few weren't able to keep still, shifting from claw to claw as they eyed the armored Diamond Dogs, weapons trained on them from a distance.

"I was told," Autumn started, "that you all followed an envoy of my Dogs, all the way from a horribly diseased and rotten part of this continent. Told that if you were to follow, you'd be part of a whole greater than any sum you could all put together."

"Actually," a brown and green Griffon said, "we just followed because of the Idol-"

"I don't care if you only followed the damned Idol!" Autumn said, the Griffon shrinking back into line. "But what the Idol represents to you is meaningless to me so long as you pledge yourselves to the Enclave."

The Griffons mumbled amongst themselves, an old Griffon with a fez and glassy eye stepping forward.

"We want to know what you rapscallions want with us or the Idol!"

"For you to pledge yourselves to a better future, a-"

"Just skip the fancy garble-dy-gook and tell us what we get!"

Autumn levitated his 10mm from his coat and shot the Griffon in his left claw. He screamed and fell back, clutching his mangled claw.

"If anyone else wishes to interrupt or make their complaints known, please speak up now," Autumn said, leveling the pistol at the group of Griffons.

Most of them shied away from the Colonel's cold gaze, save for a couple of hens who pulled the injured Griffon back into their flock.

"Good. Now, I expect a few things from the lot of you. First of all, you are to undergo proper introductions with your future trainers. ROVER!"

At his call, a pack of Diamond Dogs erupted from the ground, clad in X01 Power Armor, the torso intact but the arm pieces strung loosely apart over their wider appendages.

"Yes, Colonel, sir?" the one with a ruby painted on his armor said.

"Take these birds to the Training Chamber and put them through Hell. I want them broken and rebuilt in a month's time, ready to serve the Enclave."

"Yes sir!" Rover said, motioning for the other armored Dogs to the crowd.

The Dogs surrounded the Griffons and moved the flock deeper into the cave. Above the cavernous entrance to the Enclave, a blue feathered shape flew into the distance.
