Ignorance is a dreadful thing. You believe you're in the right, but you're really wrong. I told her, again and again, don't let them get strong enough to start thinking about space and the beyond. I've given her enough time, her deadline is now. If she won't report in, I'll get the report face to face

As years passed after Celestia's defeat and eventual imprisonment, pony society began to become as it was before the fateful day when Celestia had lost her mind. Nopony knew what that had been about, and Celestia had been quiet, mumbling about how The Power Above was listening to her every word. Applebloom had taken responsibility for the rebuilding of Canterlot after its demolition and was putting skills she had learned long ago to use in the project. Adding onto that, she also helped out separated ponies find their friends and family by accessing Celestia's private records. While many of them had exploded when she tried to read them, the records were able to be read. While it sometimes brought heart ache, having to tell somepony that the one they wanted to see had their named crossed out. Usually though, the pony in question was still alive.

Avatar training, led by Spitfire, was now a must do for workers and law enforcers. Applebloom's twin foals thought the job of being a guard very exciting, and shocked even the Wonderbolt Captain with their ability to make a single avatar at such a young age. It was no Scootabelle in terms of power, but still a respectable fusion.

Of course, all the heroes in the war were celebrities now, hounded by media wherever they went. While most didn't particularily enjoy the attention, the Wonderbolts, Flim Flam Brothers, and Iron Will sucked it up like a starved fish. Applebloom had double trouble, she was in the war but due to the utter collapse of the royals and nobles, she was the only one who had a drop of royal blood in her and was eligible to lead by the old laws of Equestria. Understandably, most of the surviving reporters went her for her instead.

Discord and what was left of Celestia's ragged army held out for years after their leader's downfall, but with Celestia not even trying to break out of prison, many of them defected and what few were left had low morale. Discord's only motivation for keeping this up was solely that it was the only place he belonged, causing trouble for others. The last time he settled down, his heart had been broken. In the end though, the Loyalists were finished off and Discord's powers limited. This was so that there could be attempts to coax him into rejoining the side of Harmony.

Finally, there was the magnificent center-piece to the city, a statue made by Sweetie Belle herself of the mare who had inspired them all and sparked the movement to defeat Celestia. Scootaloo's monument stood proudly, pointing at the sky with a smile on her face, telling all who saw her to keep moving up and over your limitations and to try your best. Such optimism was not to last.

So, it wasn't just a fluke....Well, I guess that like any scientist, I have to get rid of the independent variable...the problem is figuring it out here. Note to self, infiltrators needed. Possible invasion date: Two days from now, Day 2 of Year Alpha-156 Next Chapter: The Arrival Estimated time remaining: 36 Minutes
