A Mysterious Explosion - A Wonderbolt Fanfiction

Saddle Arabia establishes a plan to attack Equestria, what is their reason? Aren't they allies? Join the Mane 6 and the Wonderbolts on this dangerous journey ahead of them.

A mysterious explosion has been made in equestria, no pony knows who caused it. But, it seems it is a major threat. Contacted by Princess Celestia, they rush to the castle to discover the mysterious explosion. The wonderbolts are determined to solve the situation on their own, but are then suggested to have the elements of harmony help them along with some obstacles they have to face on their journey. One or more will lose their life in this explosion, or will they survive? When the time of the battle comes, their is no doubt who will win. The Saddle Arabians or the Equestrians. They've had enough of Equestria's betrayal, which was why they plotted to destroy them, earning them revenge. But what will happen when the fight is over? Will this be the last of them?

A/N: It may contain scary violence, if you are too scared then don't read it.
I have decided to include Romance in this story. The ships that will be featured in my story is: SoarinDash and Flashlight. I hope you will find this as a new addition to my story.

Prologue

The Royal Guards of Canterlot that protect Princess Celestia and Luna are brave. But not as strong as they think they really are.

A sunny day, so peaceful, so quiet, great to be in the season of summer. One hot afternoon, Princess Celestia put scrolls from one shelf to the next, as exhausted as she thought she would be. Being a princess, indeed, was a lot of work. Governing and protecting Equestria from threat. The four princesses of equestria: Twilight Sparkle, Cadence, Celestia, and Luna, protected equestria from threat or any invasion. But it was up to one flight team to protect them all.

In the everfree forest, things are a brewing. A place where animals take care of themselves, clouds move on their own, it's a strand place for a pony to go in. Rainbow Dash even tried to scare her friends once saying that it was the most spookiest place in Equestria. In the depths, lay the ruins of the ancient castle of the royal pony sisters. Even the dark flight team: the Shadowbolts. While Ponyville lay outside of that forest. Good thing the ponies were safe.

In the Wonderbolts HQ, things were normal. The team was absolutely tired of performing, touring, and being chased by fanmares and fancolts. It was a good thing thing that HQ was safe from them. Spitfire, usually stamps posters, and did most of the paper work. While Soarin-Blazer Skies, co- captain of the wonderbolts, took a break from morning's paperwork. The rest of the team, as lazy as they can be, slept in. There was no hard work for them.

"I'm so bored, there's nothing to do in here", Soarin groaned loudly, as he was sitting at his desk.

In Saddle Arabia, a threat is being plotted by the Duchess of Saddle Arabia. Equestria had indeed fine treasures to trade for, even lots of gold to make millions. Was this the treasure they were after? The Cultan of Saddle Arabia was indeed greedy for it, full of spite, he would take anything or spend his own bits on it to make a profit; he was indeed a greedy, hateful stallion. He had imprisoned Thundershine, a former wonderbolt in a jail cell for 10 years straight. She had to find a way to escape. But for her, it was no use.

In the cell, she twisted and pulled with all her might to let lose of the metal chains, still no use. A prison guard always stood in front of her cell, laughing and pointing at her. She would instantly cry when he tried seducing her. Her coat was full of blood, leaking from head to hoof, even all over her body. She was whipped 15 times since her life time in imprisonment. She hoped her nephew was okay, if he was. Thunder dragged herself onto the wall and instantly rested onto the cold stoned wall. Inside cells of the Arabian castle, she was always freezing not getting enough warmth. While at it, Thundershine tried one more time, but it was no use.

Back in her days as a wonderbolt, she was extremely brave, and always standed up for her friends and fellow teammates when they were too down. But those days are gone now, her fellow teammates, gone for good after an intense battle with one of the Cultan' s guards and soldiers. She fought her hardest, saving one of her teammates, while the rest of them were killed.

"GUYS, WHERE ARE YOU?!", she shouted loudly, crying in the middle of nowhere. Not a sound was made, one of her hooves was cut, blood was leaking rapidly from her body. She couldn't even move. She still had those visions of her teammates dying in front of her. 'What can I do?' she thought.

"Let me out of these chains, YOU BASTARD!!. she said, ticking her tongue out at the guard.

"No way I'm letting you out of there, missy", said the bat pony.

"OH YEAH, YOU ARE! WENT I'M SET FREE FROM THIS COUNTRY, I'LL KILL YOU ALL!".

"I can't wait to mess with your little friends when they get here in a few weeks". The pony trotted off and disappeared into the darkness of the walls.

"What was happening, I might of had a vision", Soarin cried feeling a bit scared. He hadn't realized that his aunt had been gone for years. She never returned. Where could she be? Soarin didn't know about his aunt being in danger, till after he woke up having a vision about her. He wondered, 'Why do I have these nightmares, why?'There was an explanation, but he didn't know what it was. Someone was indeed going to threaten Equestria, but who? He thought about this as he was walking in circles , like he was about to make some kind of hole in his room.

The door then knocks." Who is it?" Soarin grumbled, shaking. He shuddered as if he were seeing a demon or monster, or ghoul. He shuddered again when he heard the door open. Cccreak. There stood Captain Spitfire, his captain and fellow friend. She stood there with a concerned eyes. Spit stared at her brother worriedly. "Hey, you can tell me what's going on with you today?" She puts a hoof around him in a hug, comforting him gently.

"You see, I have been having nightmares about Auntie Thundershine".

"Wait, you're saying Thundershine, as in the Thundershine, the original wonderbolt of the 3rd generation team?"

"Yes, that's what I'm saying".

"Okay, tell me more".

"Before we talk about anything else, first I need to show you something Spit". Soarin grabbed a piece of paper and showed it to his sister. They both read it together.

Dear Soarin,

I"m sorry I have left you, I am in Saddle Arabia trapped in a cold-stoned prison cell. The weather there is absolutely hot and the heat drives me crazy. It's so hot, I asked one of the guards to give me a bucket of water to cool off with. But he just laughed, and walked away leaving me all hot and dehydrated.

I am writing to you because I love you and I miss you dearly. Your dad is really worried about me, since I am stuck there. Please say hi to him for me. Remember what I told you: "Never let anything bad get in your way, no matter how hard you try to resist". You're a grown stallion Soarin, you're old enough to find love, have a marefriend. Please, be happy, for me. I can't stand to see you cry.

To end this letter, please save me! I'm begging you! I don't know how long my life can last!

Thundershine Skies

"Wow Auntie sure is in a bad condition". Spit looked at the letter again.

"She is, I'm really worried about her. No wonder I was having those visions". Soarin cried tears, which went from his face to legs. "I...........miss her too Soar. She was one of the best ponies we've ever met. Ever since we were young, she use to take us to really exciting places around Cloudsdale, along with our flight mate Rainbow Dash. Not only was she a good pony, but she was also our inspiration". Spitfire cried even harder. Thundershine was an expert teacher at flying, a good relative, generous, and a loyal. While walloping in sorrow, a spark of magic unexpectedly flies through the window Soarin left open. Embedded in the yellow magic was a letter. BONK! The letter hit the top of Spitfire's head.

"Ow, what was that-". She was cut off by a letter with Celestia's royal seal. Spit unfolded the letter with her hooves and read it to herself and then turned to Soarin. "Princess Celestia needs us and the others at Canterlot at once". Together they went out of the room and rushed into the hall to alert the others of the news.

Chapter 1- The Journey Begins

Before they alerted the others about the threat, a mysterious explosion occurs beyond the wonderbolts' sight. Parts of the bomb fell to the ground, more than one of the team members noticed. ' Where did it come from?', they wondered. Perhaps the bomb was lit from further away or it was probably fired from a far off distance, none of them were sure. This bomb, the wonderbolts thought, was fired because the intruder would probably want to take over Equestria or have another intention.

Spitfire and Soarin ran to every room, when both ponies arrived into the lounge room, their fellow teammates were in playing cards and having chats with each other. While each of them were having a great time, the two friends both in command pushed the door open, causing a loud SLAM on to the door, scaring their teammates. "Guys, you have to hear me out. A mysterious explosion has occurred in Equestria and the princesses think it is a major threat", Soarin grumbled to them urgently.

"WHAT?! Why didn't you guys just tell us before, that way we would've known about the threat too", Surprise cried.

"Let's go team", Spit cried holding her whistle with her mouth.

"Look a letter from Princess Celestia", Wave told them. A letter had came to the Headquarters 10 minutes ago.

Dear Wonderbolts,

It is I, Princess Celestia of Canterlot. You must come to Canterlot at once, this is a major emergency. I want to discuss the major explosion you just saw this morning. I'm afraid a distant country and an ally of ours, Saddle Arabia, has been said to be the threat. My guards are certain that they are the ponies behind this. We don't know the reason why they are planning to bomb Equestria, I'm sure we'll find out. The elements of harmony will be by your side to help you on your long tiresome journey. I'm certain that you won't be working alone wonderbolts. Please, no complaints, you must report to the castle gates as soon as possible, an urgent matter is to be discussed.

"Guys, let's go!" their captain shouted.

"Okay we will, but let us get our belongings first".

They all gathered all their belongings and headed out of HQ. Soaring ended up struggling while carrying five , so Soarin ended up dropping everything on the ground because of carrying so much stuff. "It's so heavy", he cried complaining. "Hey Soar, let me help you", Fleetfoot offered.

"Hey thanks".

"No prob".

Spitfire then bellowed the others to keep moving with her hoof, they were really in a rush to get to Canterlot. While Soarin and Fleetfoot helped carry the others luggage. One of the members of the team didn't pack lightly, no wonder it took Soarin a lot of time to carry all of it. With a little help from Fleetfoot, he had no trouble carrying the suitcases. Afterwards, Spitfire decided to let him take a break. Of course, they always chose Fleetfoot. "Can we get somepony else to carry all this".

"Sorry Fleet, but you are pretty strong for a Pegasus. You should do all the carrying for us", Fire Streak said shaking his head.

"Fire Streak, there's no way I'm going t-. Hey!".

"Ha!".

Spitfire shouted. " STOP, BOTH OF YOU!! You do realize that we have an important mission we need to do for the princess. We can't just stand like this and bicker with each other all day. Princess Celestia and the elements of harmony are already waiting for us. LET'S NOT WASTE TIME EVERY PONY, MOVE IT!!!" She blew her whistle at them again, trying to get her teammates attention. They saluted to tell her that they were paying close attention to her, of course, Spitfire just smiled and they were on their way.

"Where are the wonderbolts, Celestia?" Princess Twilight asked the alicorn princess with confusion. "Twilight, there is no need to worry. They're just late as they always are", Celestia replied as she rolled her eyes. The other elements of harmony grew impatient with waiting for the wonderbolts to get to Canterlot. They walked around in circles, waiting impatiently in boredom for them to arrive. Celestia knew how the wonderbolts always acted when it comes to threats that harmed Equestria and its fellow citizens. They would argue about a little something on the way to any destination sometimes, causing them to lose track of time.

"Ah, there you are Wonderbolts. I'm sure you received the letter I sent you". The wonderbolts nodded", Sorry your highness for being tardy, the rest of the teams have their ways wasting their time. But what you said is urgent, we understand your highness", Spitfire said, bowing down on her hoofs.

"I'm sure you know why you're all here. I need to show you something, come with me to our castle library", Princess Luna insisted. She lead them to the West quarters of the castle, passing the Star Swirl wing and leading them to a locked door. She signaled a guard to open the door for them. "Quite a sight, isn't it?" the princess of the night said happily.

"Sister Tia, mind if you show them the book on Saddle Arabia?" Luna whispered to her sister. Celestia used her magic to locate the book from a very high shelf. The book had a fancy jeweled cover with the king' s seal imbedded on the cover. It seemed as if the book were 3,000 years old, way before alicorns came to rule Equestria. Celestia then opened the book and told the story.

"Wonderbolts, as you can see. Equestria and Saddle Arabia were never enemies. One day, they requested us to give some of our valuable goods to them for trade. But we refused, the Arabians were so upset at what we responded to them. They told us, if we don't give away some of our goods in three days. The royal officers discussed with each other, but all of them agreed to refuse the Arabian' s request an--". Celestia was then cut off by Surprise.

"Who were one of the royal officers?" Surprise asked interrupting the alicorn.

"The wisest one of course was, Co-captain Thundershine, of the Wonderbolts". Celestia gulped while Surprise made a shocked expression.

"WHAT?!"

"Surprise, I'm not kidding".

"I'm not laughing". The white alicorn shook her head." Well, it looks like you were".

"Celestia and Surprise, calm down. This is no time for arguing".

Rainbow was completely puzzled, who was Thundershine? Was she just an ordinary Pegasus or was she very important during ponydom? She had so many questions to ask. Still, Rainbow had to wait at the right moment to answer her question. After a few minutes, she left her friends and flew towards Soarin.

"Princess Celestia, who is Thundershine? I didn't quite catch that", Rainbow asked, raising an eye brow. She then patted her hooves on Soarin's shoulder to get his attention.

Princess Celestia pointed her hoof at Soarin. "You should probably ask him."

"Okay."

"Hi Rainbow Dash, what is it?" Soarin questioned. Rainbow scratched her head nervously. " Who's Thundershine?"

"Thundershine is my aunt. She was the original co-captain of the wonderbolts in the past. When she heard of the threat , she immediately went there and tried to stop their plot from happening. Sadly, she was beaten and thrown in a dungeon", Soarin cried out as tear after what he had just said.

"Soarin, I'm so sorry about your aunt. But when we get to Saddle Arabia, I'm sure you'll get to see her again".

"You sure".

"I'm sure".

Celestia then lead them from the castle library, and into the next room. The next room wasn't much of a room, there were little book shelves, but a big round table. Celestia told the ponies it was the royal council room, but bigger then the one inside Twilight' s castle.

"Everypony take a seat". So the ponies obeyed Princess Twilight and they all sat down."When we journey together to Saddle Arabia, all of us must stay together. We will be taking a ferry to Saddle Arabia, and the journey will take about 4 days".

"Does everypony understand the importance of this task?" Everypony nodded and headed towards the exit. A guard lead them out as they exited the royal conference room. 10 minutes later, they took the train to Manehattan and boarded a big ferry that was headed for Saddle Arabia.

Readers, you thought I was going to tell you what the mysterious explosion is. Well, I'm sorry to say, I can't spoil the story. If I really did explain what the mysterious explosion, then this wouldn't be a war story after all.

Sorry, I'm a slow writer. Enjoy reading though.

Chapter 2- Storm's Abrewing

After a long train ride, they got off to the station and headed towards to the inner parts of Manehattan. Currently, they weren't suppose to be sightseeing. They were suppose to be heading towards the harbor to find a boat that was taking them to Saddle Arabia. With a crowd of ponies everywhere, they were never going to find their way toward the dock. Rarity was amazed at the look of Manehattan' s appearance from below. She was so distracted that she wasn't watching where she was going and bumped right into a salespony.

She shouted ", You have to be bucking kidding me. Bumping into me like that!" Rarity was immediately angry after what she had just said. "Excuse me darling, such rude language!" Rarity shouted at her. "Rarity, calm down", bellowed Applejack. " It was just an accident".

Rarity took deep breaths that way she would calm down much faster. She wondered ", What has gotten to these ponies lately?" They wondered the streets of Manehattan looking for the harbor, they immediately got lost after searching for hours and soon they had to ask for directions. They came towards everybody in the city, but it seemed as if they didn't know where the dock was. They were all in the inner parts of the city themselves.

The path they were on, could it lead them intro the right direction? They walked for about 15minutes, turned right and after an exhausting walk they saw the view of a bay, with the sun's rays shining, it sparkled beautifully. Surprise became confused at the sight that there were many boats docked by the harbor ", Guys, but how can we tell which ferry leads to Saddle Arabia? There's like ten ferrys docked on the harbor. How will we know which one?" There big signs on the dock marking which ferry leads to what location/country.

"No need to rush, we have to keep walking until we find the right ferry", Rainbow said with determination. "Rainbow's right, let's start walking", Soarin called loudly.

"According to all these signs, none of these ferries lead to Saddle Arabia. It might be the last one that has already been docked", Twilight suggested, while observing the signs.

"Guys let's get on, Celestia already paid for everything. What we need to eat, our roo-", Pinkie was cut off by Twilight' s hoof over her mouth. "Okay guys, let's get in", the purple alicorn said as she used her hooves to tell them to get on board of the ferry.

Twilight perked up ," We totally forgot the luggage, where's Spike and Fleetfoot? They should be here by now". Two voices called out, "Were here, Twilight!".

"Took you two long enough", Rainbow said impatiently.

After they got on the ship, somepony was there to greet them. The stallion was pretty tall in height, he wore a suit of black, Twilight knew he would be their personal butler. "My name is Blazing Comet and I'll will be your personal butler", he said. " Please come with me, I was told to give you a tour of the ferry and then lead you the expanded suites". He lead them into the various features of the ferry, everypony just stared in awe without even speaking.

He lead them to the first spot to where they were going to sight see; a spot that was outside, still on the ferry. It was filled with a big table with about 15 chairs. The room had a pretty high ceiling, everyone knew what room this was; the dining hall.
" This is this is the place where you'll be eating your daily meals, and over there is a small buffet bar filled with one of the most delectable foods you will taste. And for dinner very night, there's something different", he said. He then signaled them out of the dining hall and into the next room. " Here's the spa, where you can relieve your stress from a tiring day".

Rainbow was confused. " What, that it for the tour?" Blazing Comet nodded. " Yes, I was only told to show three features of the ship, nothing more. Now enjoy your stay here". He walked off disappearing down the hall to the lounge.

"Guys, what do we do now. We got here already and what are we gonna do?", Fleetfoot groaned. She was a feisty mare during those occasions, even when it comes to knowing your way around big ships like a ferry.

Fire Streak gave her a dirty look. "Gee Fleet, what's your problem?" The impatient mare gave him an angry look."My problem?! I don't have a problem with myself!"

"No I don't!"

"Yeah you do!"

"No I don't!"

Twilight's horn started to glow, causing the two wonderbolts to stop arguing as they were still looking for each other angrily. "Fleetfoot and Fire Streak, you better stop arguing like you're in flight school again", Twilight said. They both nodded and went to the others.

"Okay guys, let's explore the ferry", Fluttershy insisted, as she walked off into the direction of the spa. "Darling, wait for me", Rarity cried, running after her. The spa was the most popular place in the entire ferry, as they headed off into the direction of the spa, they didn't notice that a shadow was lurking upon them.

"Thunderwing, keep an eye on them", somepony's voice said from a walkie talkie. "On it sir". The pegasus nodded his head. "On it sir. One question, what am I suppose to do sir?"

"I want you to keep an eye on the wonderbolts and the elements. Make sure they won't bust into our business when they get there".

Back in the Spa.

Rarity, Fluttershy, the others and the Wonderbolts were all in the ship's spa.The walls were painted ocean and light blue, t was an amazing sight to see. While Rarity and Shy we're in the massage area, the others were in the Jacuzzi, a pool filled with hot warm water. "This is so relaxing, isn't it guys?", Twilight said. The others just nodded in reply as they just relaxed, but what they didn't know was that a storm was abrewing.

Meanwhile Thunderwing, one of the Pegasus guards that protected the king was sneakily in hiding. He had rented a bedroom with a television set, which also had a closet to keep clothes in. His orders were to keep an eye on the elements and make sure they won't talk about any of their plots, if they did, he would kidnap them and find a facility to put them. But first he had to knock them out. It seemed he didn't like taking orders from his officer, who was a bat pony. He couldn't handle him, but he still had those sad memories of flight school. He remembered about a certain rainbow filly that he use to be friends with, she was incredibly cute when she was younger.

He shook himself out of his thoughts." Why am I thinking about her?" He realized if he didn't do his job, his officer would kill him for sure. Thunder said to himself ", Might as well do this tomorrow". He looked at the clock in the hall, it said 8:50. He totally forgot about keeping an eye on them, but he was definitely tired after a long day. Remembering he was sent home to Manehattan to visit his family, then he had to board the ferry back to Saddle Arabia for his job as protector of the Cultan. He tiredly walked off to his bedroom without making a sound.

Author's Notes:

I'm apologize for the late update, fellow readers. I was extremely exhausted to finish the chapter, but here it is. It's not much as I think it is. But I desperately had to finish it, but even thinking ideas was hard. I put Thunderwing in this chapter because......Oh it's hard to explain. Anyway, I won't make any promises of when the next chapter will be out. Yep, time to take a break, I think. Sorry sorry, it was late. Next chapter will take a lot of time to write, yes, it will have more then 2,000 words, longer then I will expect it.
But I need a break, so I'll read other fanfics. I expect the 4th chapter to be up next next week. Anyway, gotta hit the clouds.

Chapter 3- A Plan of Invasion

A speck of candlelight, it was a dark night. Guards of the Cultan were wandering the halls as they always did with their daily shifts around the corridor, making sure no pony was sneaking around during curfew in the city. Ponies of the city were asleep, tucked in warm in their soft beds. With the midnight breeze flowing in, it was peaceful. Not a sound was made, but just the creak of an open bedroom window where the Cultan and his wife slept.

In the dungeon, no one spoke of Thundershine. One of the most famous 3rd generation wonderbolts, and co-captain of the team. She lay still in that cold stoned prison, only mice as companions. Less water to drink and less to eat. Her body was still, showing that she was asleep. When suddenly, the sound of loud galloping hooves came from within the walls of the dungeon. The figure trotted down the stairs quietly, trying to not make a sound. The wonderbolt mare slept peacefully, thinking that she was back at home as a young filly in Cloudsdale.

The mare woke up from her sleep, she shouted,"Get me out of here, somepony help me!"

Thundershine pushed with all of her might to see if the bars would break, but it was no use. The bars were held stiff. What could be a way for her to push that steel gate open? She figured that the only way to escape was by sneaking out the back bars, if only there was a way to break them. She said to herself. " If only I could find something strong enough to break these bars open".

"Wait", she said, as she touched the bars of the cell. She tapped the bars with her hoof, and then the steel pole of the bar fell to the ground. She picked up the broken steel pole from the ground in the inside of her cell and observed it carefully. "Hmmmm........these bars seem pretty old, guess they were never replaced". Thundershine slowly used her hoof to grab another old steel bar, it almost fell out of her hooves, but she caught it just in time. No other prisoner was paying attention, she realized that they were just poor pony folk, she felt sorry for them. Why were they kept in a prison like this? The prisoners she saw, they were all frail and sick. She pitied all of them, the king probably could've imprisoned them because of the crimes they had done in the town marketplace.

"Hey, you. Pssst?" somepony whispered, as she beckoned her hoof to tell her to come closer. Thunder stepped closer, she made a skeptic look at the pony she was approaching.

"Who are you? And why did you call me here?", she whispered. The pony took of the cloak, it revealed that she was a mare. She had red orange mane with yellow highlights, she wore a tore wonderbolt uniform, and she was smiling at Thundershine. Thunder gasped at the pony she was seeing, she recognized her immediately. "Stormy Flare, I thought you were dead". The dark blue maned mare ran up and hugged the fury yellow coated mare, they both cried at the sight of seeing each other again.

Both of the mares jumped up and and did their secret hoof shake, as if they were fillies playing on a day with nice weather. What they didn't realize was, that they were shouting so loud that they both then heard hoof steps coming closer towards the dungeons. The figure had bat wings, Star Fire knew it was a bat pony. Starks Brightstar, one of the officers of the bat pony guards trotted into the dungeon halls loudly.

"What in the name of Equestria?" the two mares said at the time. Stark looked at them, with a displeasing look on her face. The two mares looked at her with shock. What was she thinking about when she was looking at us? Thunder was confused, she knew this pony from somewhere, but where? Why in Equestria would she work for the Cultan?

Stark gave the two mares a dirty look.", When your friends get here in the next week or so, they'll just be a piece of bullshit". Thunder was furious. "You fucking bastard! Don't you dare do that to my nephew and his friends. And don't you dare threatened his brother either. And you better tell me where you trapped my brother, because you'll pay for this!"

"Oh, I don't think so Thundershine. They'll be dead once they get here. Guards, put them back to where they belong". Starks walked away laughing cruelly. She was certain that Saddle Arabia would win the war, if the war was a never war, then she wouldn't be working for the Cultan. Starks had a sensitive side of her, she was only being cruel towards the prisoners because two of the prisoners were her friends. She was ordered to be cruel around prisoners. The bat mare knew the two pegasai for a very long time, and it seemed that Thunder and Stormy Flare didn't remember her at all. The bat pony trotted away sadly. With the rest of their teammates dead, they were extremely sad after the tragic thing that happened to them before after all those years.

"Stark, is that you?" Thundershine asked in confusion. As Stark was about to walk back to the corridor, she stopped and heard Thunder's voice running through her head. "Thundershine, you recognize me?" the bat pony said, and looked at her old friend in front of her. She turned her head and saw her friend trapped in the bars of a dungeon, she also saw her, Stormy Flare, her other long time friend. Stark fell to the ground at the sight of seeing her friends in this much danger, why did she choose to work as a guard in Saddle Arabia? It was the wrong choice. Stormy Flare turned around, she saw her old friend crying hard on the cold ground. The mare immediately went to the poor mare and comforted her.

"Stark, what's wrong?" Stormy Flare asked, concerned. The bat pony didn't pay attention to what the two mares were saying, she was too busy crying as more tears came out of her eyes. The wonderbolt captain comforted the mare with care, she used her wing to dry the bat pony's tears. "Stark listen. We know that you still have that type of good inside of you. Let it out when it's the right time". The bat pony cried even harder. "I was stupid to even work as a guard in Saddle Arabia, what was I thinking?"

At the sudden words Stark spoke, the two former wonderbolts were surprised. At the sudden response, they were eager to help their long time friend get through her sorrow. Thunder put a hoof to her heart. "Hey, I know how it's like to have these type of doubts in your heart. I was like this once, but you helped me get over it. And now it's my turn to help you". Stormy Flare did the same, she put a hoof on the mare's back and gave her back a pat.

Starks immediately dried her tears with her hoofs, she immediately felt better after the reassuring comfort. "Say Stark, what do you wanna talk about, cause I'm bored", the two formal wonderbolts asked her. "Really, I don't have anything to talk about. But right now let's just focus on escaping the the dungeon, we don't want Cultan finding about this; now would we?" Thunder and Solar Flare nodded their heads. "We agree with you". The bat pony grabbed the keys she kept from her hoof, then used the same hoof she held the key with to open the dungeon's door. The two once imprisoned mares ran out of cell quickly as their hooves could take them.

Stark was worried."Girls, we need to find a way out. But first, we need to find a way to get out of the underground dungeon". The mares found it hard to get out of the castle's underground dungeon, there were so many twist and turns upon the stairs, that it was almost impossible to find a door that could lead them elsewhere.

"Stormy, Thunder. The castle' s towers are very vast. So it will be much more difficult to find a way out, only the stairs will help". The two wonderbolts nodded. "Of course". They then followed her along as they were running down the tower's stairs, even while trying to avoid spiderwebs along the way. "If this keeps up, we won't even be able to find the right door if this keeps happening".

The Discoveries of Saddle Arabia #2:

Thus the castles towers are absolutely, thou I cannot head anywhere if I stayed as a prisoner in this dreadful dump. My life would be ruined after the king's henchmen would come here and behead me just like they did with my niece, she was accused of a crime that she'd not commit. If history were to be rewritten, then nothing should stand in my way while I am at it. Even before Tia and Luna were born, we were the first alicorns that ever roamed. My name's Lucena, I was given this diary for my birthday by my oldest daughter Tia (Celestia). It was nice of her to.

From what I discover about Saddle Arabia, that no good Cultan is no good at all. They promise that they would make peace between Equestria, but they broke their promise. We gave them our best goods that we could give to them, they betrayed us and pained us with misery. It had to be hidden somewhere in the city, the gold, I tried finding it myself....but it was no use, there was nothing. We just couldn't end our search.

The sound of hoof steps thundered in the distance, the three companions knew that sound. With the noise growing louder, it was harder to find the right door. Their hoofs were growing tired, they wouldn't even stop to catch their breath or anything. All they could do for now was just run...........and run down the stairs as if it would take forever for the three to escape the vast dungeon tower outside of the Cultan's palace. Nothing was going to be easy for them, all the memories, those good memories were now taken away from them. Still, could they still remember the good old times they had as fillies?

Thundershine's P.O.V

Foalhood times can never be over, no pony could ever forget the friendship that happened between me and my group of friends. Our group may have been a small group, but two friends is better than one. It's good to meet a new pony, being eager to shake their hand, like the opposite of a gaining nothing. But the truest treasure to gain, is to always have friends that you can depend on, and that's always possible; even for three group of friends.

Oh no, the tower dungeon may be vast, but there is no way we would ever find the right door that was our way out. On some days me and my friends would be caught, and on some days we wouldn't because we were a clever group of mares. Mares that had the knowledge of finding their way out of a horrible prison, no walls or windows to show no light, just pure darkness. Almost everything we did was just sit and sit, there was nothing any of us could do.

The sound of Stark's voice grew from being glad to a complaint, what was wrong with that mare sometimes? "We'll never find our way out of this tower! It's like a big maze as always since the last year we were here. I looked with a concerned face. "I'm sure the three of us can find a way out of here, only as long as we stick together no matter how many steps it takes".

Stark just looked at me as if I were saying something that confused her. "What are you saying Thunder?" I knew that expression she always made as a filly, now that's the real Stark I know. As a filly, she was always serious whenever it came to a scary task or situation, but on the inside she was an extreme scaredy-cat.

Okay, back to the sad part-----everything was taken away from me, no matter how many times I try to fight back I get pushed back by an object, a heavy object. If only I knew who would treat me this way, then I would've have to go after him/her, whoever it is then I'm not in any part of it. If my mind was clouded with such thoughts, then I'll surely regret it whenever I'm around my nephew. I never talk about my issues because it's something very personal, and I just don't wanna share it with anyone at all; not even anypony.

With the tower closing in on them, they realized that if they kept on running, the three companions would eventually get arrested for escaping. If the Cultan found out, he was going to be furious. He would definitely have them hanged. Execution like this is now illegal in Equestria, Commander Hurricane had banned this type of cruelty and violence towards anypony during the founding of Equestria. It was decided by the entire pony council. Could this be the end of Thundershine and her companions?

Thunder realized something as she was running the stairs.

'Saddle Arabian's plan of invasion was to take Equestria's goods and destroy all ponykind. Why didn't I hear of this before?'

The three kept running until they made it to a door that led to a secret cave. Stark opened the door to see that the cave was already lit up with oil lanterns. They continued walking down the cave for the next few minutes, until they finally made it to the exit. Relieved, the three were finally out of the underground dungeon. Once they exited the cave, they realized that they were stuck in the cave exit. The Cultan, who had installed the bars to block the cave exit, was alerted by his council to build the bars if anypony were to ever escape.

I knew I shouldn't have updated this chapter so soon, I was too lazy to even unpublished it to finish writing it. But my progress on updating my written stories is lacking, I barely have time to write because I'm too lazy and busy doing other things. Since I don't make promises on updates, I expect a deadline into publishing the written chapter. Some readers are just too impatient to even wait, story writing just takes time to perfect. But anyway, that means that they're just dying to read more.

Note: Story is still in progress. trying the best I can to complete it. Stay tuned to see what happens as Thunder, Stormy Flare, and Stark try to escape the tower now that Stark has a change in heart.

Chapter 4 - Settling In

After walking onto the ferry, the Wonderbolts head towards the cabins to settle in. Soarin, Spitfire, and Fleetfoot decide to stay together in the same cabin with three beds, and one bathroom. As the three ponies entered the cabin, the walls were customized with stickers of yellow lightning bolts, the curtains were a hint of dark blue. The three teammates stare in awe, they walk into the room looking at every piece of furniture before their eyes. Everything was positioned in their proper place.

"Oh my Celestia, I can't believe my eyes. This is so cool, a cabin customized just for us. You know what that means?" Fleetfoot replied, with excitement in her voice.

"It probably means that we're special Fleet, you get the idea", Soarin said raising an eyebrow, " And besides, we're just getting settled in. You and Spit can just unpack your bags. I'll lay down and relax".

"Where are the others?" Spitfire asked, as she was unpacking her suitcase. "I last saw them coming on the ferry with us." Soarin and Fleet just shrugged.

Soarin just laid on the bed feeling relaxed. "Don't worry about the others Spitty, they'll be fine settling in by themselves". When Spitfire heard the nickname Spitty, she immediately started blushing. She then turned to Soarin and looked at him with her blushing cheeks. "Dang that name is embarrassing Soar, who told you to call me that? My mother use to call me Spitty when I was a foul. I only liked it when my mother called me that!" Soarin looked at his captain for one second, then fell off the bed and onto the floor laughing.

Misty Fly, who was next door to the three, heard Soarin laughing loudly on the floor. She walked from the room next door, whom she was sharing with Wave Chill, Surprise, and Fire Streak, and into their room. Misty Fly raises an eyebrow. "Guys, what..is..going..on..here? Why is Soarin laughing so hard? What was so funny that made him laugh?" After about one second, Spitfire faces her. "He was laughing about the nickname my mother gave me as a foul".

"Yeah, but no offense, I think the name Spitty suits you better than Spitfire." Misty Fly just gives Spitfire a blank expression.

"Does not Mist".

"Does too".

"Does not".

"Does too".

Fleetfoot was reading her favorite her novel in bed, The Mysterious Murders of Saddle Arabia . It was a novel that had 20 different stories written into one book. Fleet was in the middle of Chapter 2 when she was interrupted by Misty and Spit arguing like preschool fillies. First, she tried covering her ears with her hooves. But, that didn't work. Then, she tried covering her ears with the paperback copy of her novel. But, that didn't work either. Fleet started losing her patience.

Fleet shouted at her two quarreling teammates angrily. "Will you guys stop arguing!?! I'm trying to read my favorite book here!!"

Misty and Spit both blushed in embarrassment. "Sorry, Fleet", they both said in unison.

After what felt like a few minutes or hours, Soarin finally stopped laughing. He got up from the floor and turned to face his teammates. He looked at them puzzled. "What's going on?" It was Misty's turn to say something. "Well, while you were on the floor laughing so hard, Spit and I were having a little quarrel about the little nickname she didn't like being called." Soarin replied back, rubbing his back nervously, "Oh yeah, I was too."

Suddenly, there was an awkward silence among them. After 2 minutes, Spitfire decides to end the silence. "Okay um, what do you guys want to do?", she said. Everypony just looked at each other with blank faces, after a second, their stomachs were rumbling. When they all heard their stomachs rumble, the teammates just laughed. The left the room and went to the ship's many restaurants. What the teammates didn't know was that the Elements of Harmony were already there.

Twilight, Rainbow, AJ, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Rarity were in the ship's most fancy ballroom restaurant The Dish. They were wearing gorgeous dresses, which Rarity made in their cabins, before heading to the restaurant. The 6 friends already arrived at the fancy ballroom restaurant 15 minutes ago. They can be seen sitting at a big round table that connected to really large rectangular table that can hold more than ten ponies.

"How are you guys enjoying The Dolphin ferry so far?" the alicorn asked.

"Splendid darling, I love every thing about the ship. The shops, the nice cabins, the beautiful view of the ocean", Rarity said, as her eyes were sparkling.

"I'm having an awesome time Twi. This ship has amazing attractions every guest can go to. There's a large gym, sauna, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a cool sports room, and so much more", Rainbow said.

"What about you Applejack?", the rainbow mare asked the cowgirl, nudging her friend.

"Well, I think that this boat I mean ship has some pretty amazing attractions sugarcube. I agree with ya", Applejack replied. "How about you Pinkie?"

"I love the entertainment AJ! Even the parties this ship hosts", Pinkie said. "How about you Fluttershy, what do you think?"

"I love the mythical animal center. My favorites are the phoenixes", Fluttershy said happily.

Rainbow looked at her friends, her stomach was rumbling. "Guys, do you want to order now? It's almost 7 anyway."

"Sure", all of Rainbow's friends said in unison.

As the girls were looking at their menus to order their food, they heard the restaurant doors open. The girls immediately recognized the ponies who walked through the doors, the wonderbolts. Fluttershy noticed the 4 wonderbolts come in and put down her menu. She whispered to her alicorn friend. "Twi, what are they doing here?" Twilight put down her menu with her magic. "They must be here eat".

Misty Fly, Soarin, Fleetfoot, and Spitfire appeared in the ballroom restaurant still in their wonderbolt uniforms, not realizing that the dress requirement to enter the restaurant was formal and fancy. Spitfire walked from the group and looked around to find a table. None of the tables had enough space. Just as she was about to give up, she saw the Elements of Harmony sitting at a very big round table. Spitfire turned her head and saw them, she waved at them. She shouted, "Hey girls!"

The 6 mares put down their menus and waved back. "Hey Spit!" they said at the same time.

Rainbow Dash looked at the captain. "Spitfire, what brings you here?"

"Oh ya know, I'm here with Soarin, Misty Fly, and Fleetfoot. We came here to eat."

"Nice way to make an entrance Spit. I'm afraid you forgot about the dress requirement".

After hearing that, Spitfire grew red in embarrassment after what Rainbow just said to her. "Oh um, we didn't know about that".

Rainbow just snickered at the Captain. She got up from her seat and took out a dress from under the table. The dress was embroidered with the wonderbolt symbol as the collar of the dress. It came with a light blue head band, flat shoes that were designed to look like bright orange flames. At the mid part of the dress, the fabric was designed to look like a dark blue and cyan blue wing. The fabric at the bottom of the dress was also sewn in to look like bright orange flames.

When Spitfire noticed the dress that Dash was holding in her hooves, she was speechless. The wonderbolt was at a lost of words at first. "O-h-h m-m-m-my, it's totally my style. I can't accept this, who made it?"

"I did darling", the white mare said, as Dash gave the dress to her.

"You made it? What's your name by the way?"

"Rarity. It's nice to meet you Spifire".

"Nice to meet you as well".

"You're one of Rainbow's friends, right? She told me so much about you."

"When did she tell you?"

"She told me when we were hanging out in Canterlot last year. During the time when she's was in the wonderbolt's reserve".

"Okay. Anyway, is my closest friend an official wonderbolt now?"

"She already is. But we haven't performed any new shows though".

Rarity and Spitfire talked more about Rainbow Dash. They talked about her amazing heroics, her personality, and about the time Dash first got her cutie mark.

Meanwhile Soarin, Misty Fly, and Fleetfoot were waiting for Spitfire for the past 20 minutes. The three of them had tired looks on their faces and they couldn't stand waiting any longer for their friend.

Soarin started groaning. "What is taking her so long!?!"

Misty Fly sits on the floor on all four hooves tiredly. "I could say the same thing". Fleetfoot looks at her with a grumpy face. She then starts to groan as well.

While Rarity was chatting away with Spitfire, the yellow fiery mare looks at the clock on the wall noticing that it was already 7:20pm. "Would you look at the time, I have to meet up with my teammates."

Rarity looks at the mare happily and gave the wonderbolt her dress."Alrighty then, I'll see you later Spit". The white mare walks back to the table to where her friends were sitting at.

Spitfire walks back to her teammates who were waiting at the opposite side of the Mane 6's table. Just as the she was approaching them, she hears groaning from all of three of them. Hearing this, the wonderbolt captain immediately starts giggling at them while she covered her mouth with her hoof, trying to hold in in her laughter. Fleetfoot, who still had her muzzle caught in her favorite novel, looked from the book to her captain giving her confused look. She thought. "Why is she laughing like that? Could it be because of Soarin and Misty Fly's impatience?"

Soarin looked at his close friend tapping his hood impatiently. While Misty Fly got up on all four of her hooves and looks at her captain/friend impatiently as well. Lastly Fleetfoot, the bookish mare of the team, just continued to reading the unfinished chapter of her novel. Not even paying attention to Spitfire's giggling.

"Where were you?" Soarin asked, still looking at her impatiently.

"I was talking to one of Rainbow's friends. You know, the white mare with three blue diamonds as a cutie mark. The unicorn", Spitfire said, smiling an awkward smile.

"Who?"

"Rarity. Rainbow's unicorn friend".

"Okay. Anyway, what is that dress your holding? It looks really nice sis."

"Rarity made this dress Soarin. When Dash showed it to me, I was speechless. The dress was so pretty though. I just love how the design of the dress matches my personality."

Realization suddenly hits Soarin. "Wait, is their a dress requirement?" He notices that he was still wearing his flight uniform.

Spitfire punches Soarin hard on the left shoulder and snickers. "Yup." Soarin rubs his left shoulder and blushes in embarrassment, he then turns away not wanting to show anypony his blushing face. After the two were done talking, they beckoned Fleetfoot and Misty Fly to come and sit with the Mane 6.

The door suddenly opens; Wave Chill, Surprise, and Fire Streak the walk in. Wave Chill is seen wearing a black tuxedo with a sky blue tie. On the tie, there was a sewn in wonderbolt symbol. His mane was gelled making him looking like a totally different different pony. Surprise however, was wearing a summer themed peacock dress. Instead of her mane being styled up, her bright yellow mane was styled down with tiny clip-on turquoise sequences. She was wearing additional golden shell shaped sandals. Fire Streak is seen also wearing a tuxedo, but in dark orange with a black tie. His mane was still styled the way he had it for wonderbolt events.

Soarin, Spitfire, Fleetfoot (who's attention was on her novel), and Misty Fly who were already seated turned their heads to see their three other friends all well dressed. Not able to say anything, the three already seated wonderbolts gawked their mouths in awe.

"Hey guys", Fire Streak, Surprise, and Wave Chill said in unison.

"Hey..........", Soarin, Spitfire, and Fleetfoot all said at the same time.

"You guys are speechless. Whats wrong?" Surprise said, laughing.

Soarin was the first stallion to say something. "Your dress looks nice Surprise".

"Thanks Soar. And why aren't you dressed up?"

Soarin blushed in embarrassment. "I-well-um, I forgot this restaurant had a dress requirement".

"Well Soar, what are you going to wear then?"

"I don't know, who should I ask?"

"Rarity of course, I believe she had an outfit already prepared for you."

"Alright, I'll go ask her."

Surprised just laughed and went to find an empty seat. Fire Streak and Wave chill were already in their seats, they were sitting close to the Princess of Friendship. She found an empty seat next to Wave Chill and sat down.

Soarin got up and trotted to Rarity, who was sitting across from Rainbow Dash. He nervously used his hoof and tapped on her shoulder lightly. Rarity felt somepony tap her shoulder and turned around to see who it was. "Oh hello, I'm sorry I didn't see you there Soarin. What can I help you with?"

"I was wondering if still have any outfits for me to wear?"

"Of course I do silly. I have designed three outfits just for you". Rarity shows the stallion a couple of pictures.

"Take your time", the fashionista assured him.

Being intrigued by all three of the designs, Soarin looked at each outfit carefully. He looked at the first one, then the second, and then the third. 10 minutes passed. 15 minutes passed. Finally, after thinking for 15 straight minutes, he came up with his decision. "I'm going to go with the third one", he said to Rarity.

"Lovely choice Soarin", she said. Rarity used her magic and grabbed a light dark blue suit from the rack of outfits behind her seat. The outfits on the rack behind Rarity were the clothes she sewed before she and her friends headed to The Dish. The suit's triangular collars had small sewn-in yellow lightning bolts. It also came with a black tie. It had a small white stripe sewn into the tie. Even three small yellow bar were sewed onto the shoulder sleeves of the suit. Soarin grabs the suit from Rarity and puts it on.

"What do you think? The small yellow bars are my additional touches."

"I love it Rarity. Thank you".

"No need to thank me. Accept it as a gift."

"Okay. I'll see you around". He waved. Rarity waved back and continued sewing.

Soarin ran back his seat. Once he got to his seat next to Spitfire, all of his teammates (including Spitfire) started staring at his suit. Wave Chill commented on his little brother's suit. "Well little brother, who made you that suit?It looks dashing".

Soarin blushed at the question. The saying "dashing" reminded him of a certain rainbow maned mare. "Well Wave, Rainbow's friend made it".

Wave Chill laughs at him, making the stallion blush even more. "It seems somepony has a huge crush on a certain somepony. Anyway, what's the name of the mare by any chance?"

Soarin makes his whisper inaudible. "For your information Wave Chill, I already told you that I've been having a crush on her since the Best Young Flyer's Competition. Why do you have point this out every morning? I haven't been able to confess my feelings to her because I've been trying to focus on practice. And the name of the mare who made this suit for me is Rarity."

"Okay, I won't tell any-".

Soarin put a hoof to his mouth. "Be quiet Wave".

Both colts stayed silent at the table.

At the other side of the table, Fleetfoot was still focused on her favorite novel when she was interrupted by a mare who spoke to her from across the table. "Ahem Fleetfoot, did you check the dress requirement?"

"What dress requirement?Who am I talking to?" Fleetfoot said puzzled.

"My name is Rarity darling. Did you notice that you are only wearing your uniform?"

Fleetfoot looked at what she was wearing. "Oh, now that you mentioned this Rarity. Now I know".

"I have some dresses that I designed especially for you".

"Really?"

Rarity just laughed and used her magic to levitate several mannequins in front of Fleetfoot.

Fleetfoot stared at the dresses in awe. "Rarity, these dressed look really nice. But I can't decide which one really suits me."

Rarity winks at the mare. "I'll give you a suggestion, the third one is my favorite. And it suits you well. "

"The third one?"

"Of course darling, I know when a certain dress suits a certain mare".

"Third one it is."

Fleet tries on the pale blue white summer day gown. Rarity grabs a comb with her magic and combs Fleetfoot's messy mane into a slick style. After combing her hair, she levitates the multicolored fleur-shaped clip from the mannequin onto her right ear.

"Ta da, what do you think Fleetfoot?"

Fleetfoot looks at herself in the mirror Rarity is holding with her magic. "I look different. " Rarity just laughed.

Rarity signals the mare to come off her seat and show everypony her new dress. Everypony at the table turns and stares in awe.

Rainbow Dash comments on her teammate's gown. "Nice dress Fleetfoot, it suits you totally well".

"Thanks Crash, I mean Dash".

Fleetfoot goes to sit back down hearing the Princess call for everypony's attention.

Princess Twilight levitated a wine glass and spoon, she tapped the spoon twice on the glass to get everypony's attention. "Now everypony, I'm sure you all know why you're here. I would like to welcome you all to The Dish, one of the most fanciests restaurants on The Dolphin ferry. As much as I want to tell you the fascinating history of this large ferry, I'm not going to bore you. Let me explain what you will be experiencing tonight. For the food, you will be able to taste Saddle Arabian cuisine. Also Entertainment: Vinyl has volunteered to play music from Equestria and Mareasia. In addition to that, there will be two performers singing live. Alright everypony, it's time to enjoy ourselves".

The Princess and her friends got up from their seats. The six mares decided to go see some performances before their food was served. They went to the dance floor's stage where the performances were being held. No pony around was sitting down, the six mares just stood in the very front of the stage. They realized they were the first ones in the front row. The wonderbolts walked to the stage as well. Seeing that the princess and her friends were already in the front role, the decided to stand behind them. Soon, the dance floor was filled with ponies who were also waiting to watch the concert.

After two minutes, lights go out. The stage lights turn on and the announcer appears on the stage. "Welcome everypony to The Dish, I am your announcer for tonight. Tonight, we have singer-songwriters from Mareasia and other parts of Equestria who are performing their newest singles ".

The Mane 6, wonderbolts, and the other ponies in the audience cheer excitedly. The first celebrity trots up to the stage being covered by a projector blind. The figure showed to be a singer-songwriter from Mareasia. The projector blind opens up to reveal a pegasus mare wearing a fedora hat. Below her brown eyes, she was wearing a black vine face paint with black mini plastic gems. Her neutral brown mane was partly braided on the left side of her head. While the rest of her bangs and mane was styled straight, she had her mane down instead of up. Since the singer was from Mareasia, when she spoke, she had an mareasian accent. The mare grabs the microphone from its stand with her hoof and walks towards the crowd.

"Greetings Equestria, before I start performing tonight. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jwon BoA, and I am a singer-songwriter and actress. I will be performing some of my new songs such as: Energetic and Eat You Up. As you all may know, I write songs in English, Japanese, and Korean. Anyways, after the concert, there is an autograph signing where you can meet all the other performers. I hope to see you there", BoA said.

Lights on the stage go on, and BoA uses her hoof to take off her fedora and lets the hat slide smoothly on the stage floor. She raises the microphone to her muzzle again to talk to the audience. "The first song I will be performing is Energetic. Before we start the music, I would like a couple of ponies to volunteer to be my dancers. My current back up dancers will give you basic instructions of the dance, once you got the routine down, the music will play and we can start performing. So, who will like to perform on stage with me?"

Everypony raises your their hoof.

"So many volunteers. Okay um, I'm going to be need two pegasi, one female and male. And 3 other ponies of any race. "

BoA points her hoof to Rainbow Dash. "You, over there. The rainbow-maned mare. Can you come up onto the stage?"

Oh Celestia, she called me. I love her songs and I get to be her dancer onstage. Rainbow Dash thought to herself. Dash walks from her spot in the audience and onto the stage. Her friends wave at her. Blushing, she waves back to her friends who were in the audience.

BoA points the microphone to Dash. "What's your name?"

"My name is Rainbow Dash."

"Nice to meet you Rainbow Dash. Do you want to pick a colt who is willing to come up on stage and dance with us? Or should I choose?"

"You choose", Rainbow said, as her face started going red.

The Mareasian singer laughs at the mare's red cheeks. She looks around the room for another pegasus stallion. After 5 minutes of looking, she sets her eyes on Soarin. BoA raises the microphone to her muzzle. "You, the navy blue maned stallion, can you come up onto the stage?"

"Me?" Soarin gawked.

"Yes you."

Soarin walks from his spot in the audience and onto the stage. He hears everypony in the audience cheering and laughing. His face starts to go red as he walks up to the stage. The stallion realized he was lucky to be next to his crush. This singer is so familiar. Oh wait, I have several of her CDs. Is that Jwon BoA? Soarin thought to himself.

"What's your name young colt?" The singer gives the mic to Soarin.

"Soarin".

"Can you pick any three ponies from the audience?"

"Sure".

"Who are you going to tell to come up onto the stage?"

"Let's see. I'll pick Princess Twilight, Pinkie, and Fleetfoot".

Twilight, Pinkie, and Fleetfoot hear their names, the three ponies walk up to the stage from the crowd. They wave towards the audience and just smile sheepishly.

"Now that we have our volunteers on stage. Let's start by teaching these lovely fans how to do the dance to this song."

BoA's backup dancers beckoned Twilight, Pinkie, Fleetfoot, Soarin, and Rainbow Dash to the middle stage. Earlier, they were standing on the side of the stage. For the first 30 minutes, the backup dancers showed the five ponies the basic moves of the routine. Then, for the next 30 minutes, the five ponies were getting the hang of the routine. Noticing their progress, BoA claps her hooves happily. "You are all fast learners. You all did an amazing job. Are you ready?"

Drumroll.

BoA turns on her ear piece microphone. "Equestria, are you ready?"

"Yeah", everypony cheered.

"Alright 1- 2-3".

Everypony in the audience started dancing. Spitfire and Fleetfoot moved their hoofs to the beat. Misty Fly whistled and cheered. The rest of the bolts moved their hooves to the beat as well.

Onstage, Twilight, Pinkie, and Fleetfoot danced the routine they were taught by the singer's backup dancers.

The song lasted for 2 more minutes, then it finally came to an end. BoA thanked the audience, bowed, and trotted off the stage. "See you at the autograph signing", she waved.

For the rest of their time at the restaurant, food was eventually served for the ponies. After dinner, the wonderbolts and the mane 6 continued dancing on the dance floor. Tonight, they were going to have the best night ever!

Here is Chapter 4, it took me forever to write. I'm sorry for the late update of Chapter 4, I was running out of ideas. So, I decided to focus on writing chapters for my other stories while I thought about what to write for Chapter 4 of A Mysterious Explosion- A Wonderbolt Fanfiction.

Chapter 5 - The Best Night Ever

Every pony at The Dish seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was dancing, a lot of laughter, a lot of chatty ponies, fun party games, and a rock'in dance floor. Princess Twilight and her friends knew that this night was going to be the best night ever! The Wonderbolts, on the other hoof, considered the party quite boring, except for the performances that were hosted. They can be seen with bored faces while nopony seems to recognize them without their uniforms on.

The team can be seen a couple feet away from Princess Twilight and her friends. They're just chatting about how boring the party is.

"This party is so boring", Spitfire complained. "I can't seem to find anything to do around here. Every social event we go to always involves sophisticated ponies pulling us away to talk about boring topics."

"I know that feeling Spitfire", Soarin said, agreeing with the captain. "The question is, will we ever get a time to ourselves?"

Spitfire nods and heads back to the table to finish her food.

"Come on Soar, I'm sure you'll be able to find something to do", Surprise said, reassuring the stallion. She was sitting just across from him.

Soarin looked at his friend glumly. "Maybe Surprise. Don't you have somepony to talk to?"

Surprise's ears perk. "Oh yeah, I do. I was going to talk to cousin Pinkie Pie and High Winds".

"High Winds and Pinkie Pie are your cousins? You never told me about them".

"Well, how am I gonna explain this to you. Cloud Quartz, Pinkie Pie's mother, was born as an earth pony. Turns out her father was an earth pony and her mother was a pegasus. Since her middle older sister, which is my mother, who was a pegasus, makes us cousins because my mother is a Cloud Quartz's s older sister. Sorry about that, I was just rambling. High Winds was born to Cloud Quartz's eldest sister, also a pegasus. Her mother had a very curly, dark navy blue mane. While her father, an earth pony had neutral blue mane. She has her mother's curly hair, and her mother and father's mane colors, that's why you can see streaks in High Wind's mane. Now, do you ya kinda get what I'm saying Soarin?"

"Kinda. That's just a lot to keep in mind".

"I know silly. I'll see you later, I've gotta catch up on a lot of things with my two cousins." Surprise waves to Soarin. Soarin waves back until the mare was out of sight.

Soarin groans to himself. "I'm just gonna go eat, then I'll think of something to do." The pale blue stallion walks back to the table to where Twilight and her friends were sitting. After a minute of walking, he goes to find his seat. Once he sat down, the stallion finishes the remaining pieces of food on his plate. The alicorn notices Soarin's glum face and claps her hooves to get the stallion's attention. Soarin hears the sound of two hooves clapping, which immediately perks his ears.

"Princess Twilight!?! What is it?", the wonderbolt asked the alicorn.

"Sorry I had to scare you like that Soarin, but do you know why I had to get your attention?" Twilight asked him.

Soarin shrugs. "No".

"Well, since your finished with your food. Why don't you go and talk to my friend Rainbow Dash? She's already done eating, and she's only one on the dance floor right now."

Soarin blushes. "Um."

"Is there something you're not telling me Soarin?"

Soarin gulps nervously. "Um.....oh alright.......thing is, I have a huge crush on your friend."

Princess Twilight starts giggling, making the stallion blush even more. "Go to her you chicken". But, Soarin wouldn't budge. The purple alicorn snorts, gets up from her seat and pushes Soarin off the seat. Soarin was puzzled by the mare's actions, just when he was about to protest, Twilight pushes him from the dining area all the way to dancefloor.

"Twilight, what was that for?" he says, once they arrive at the dancefloor.

"You wouldn't get off your flank, so I had to give you a little push instead. Now go to her or else I'll tell my friend that you have a huge crush on her. "

"Fine you win Twilight, I'll go talk to her".

"Good". Twilight smiles, and walks back to the dining area where the rest of her other friends were still seated.

At the dancefloor, Soarin gulps and adjusts his tie. As he walks further, the intro of Soldier by Crystal Jade starts playing. Ponies begin to slow dance as the other ponies did the same. Soarin walks a little further until he notices a rainbow-maned mare dancing by herself. He recognizes the mare immediately, it was Rainbow Dash. She was wearing a starry night themed dress with a strapped top. At the dress's collar, there was a sewn in purple diamond. Her mane was curled, locking in her framed face making her look like a totally different mare. Her mane shimmered as the sparkling lights shined on her rainbow mane. Soarin saw how stunning she looked, not being able to process what to say. After a couple of seconds, he took a breath.

"Rainbow, you look really nice", Soarin said to her.

"Thanks Soarin", Rainbow Dash said, blushing.

'She looks so cute when she's blushing. Look at me, I'm already starting to fall for her', Soarin thought to himself.

The stallion snapped out of his thoughts, and offered his hoof to Rainbow. Rainbow Dash was shocked by the Wonderbolt's jester at first, but she went with it. Soarin was unlike any stallion she had ever met. He was kind, funny, caring, cute, and smart; Rainbow liked everything about him, aside from his looks.

Soarin offered his hoof. "Rainbow, care to dance?"

Rainbow put her hoof in his. "Of course".

Soarin leads Rainbow to the center of the dancefloor, he gazes into her eyes. Rainbow notices Soarin gazing into her magenta eyes and shyly turns away. As their hooves slowly waltz to the intro of the song, Soarin puts his hoof on Rainbow's chin and tilts her face to meet his gaze. "Rainbow, is there something wrong?" he asks.

Rainbow Dash spoke with a slight hesitation."No, nothing's wrong Soarin. It's just that...I don't know how to slow dance".

Soarin spins her around, then smiles at her. "Let me show you".

Rainbow smiles back at the stallion in front of her. Without realizing, she finds herself dancing in sync with the stallion as she was able to overcome her nervousness. Soarin smiles proudly. "See? You're a fast learner um.....Dashie?"

Rainbow was puzzled by the nickname Soarin gave her. "Dashie? My friend Pinkie calls me that." The pale blue stallion giggles. "Well then, can I call you that? It's cute".

Hearing Soarin say that made her blush even more. "Of course, I like it when you call me that".

Soarin just smiled, and started to sing along to the song that was playing. "I'm laying here in the darkness, the middle of nowhere..there's no one in sight."

Rainbow sang along with him. "Caught in the madness, don't wanna be like this. I'm losing my mind."

Soarin continued singing along. "Wanna see inside your head. What's going on in there? Tell me where you are so I can stop and take a breath. Cause nothing's making sense, I don't want this to end. Come and get me out of this mess. I want you stay, stay. Stay with me a little longer. Why don't you stay, stay? Don't you wanna be my soldier?"

Rainbow, who had a better singing voice than Soarin's, also continued singing. "Now would you fight for me? D-d-die for me? Would wanna be with forever. Why don't you stay, stay. Don't you wanna be my soldier?"

Both RD and Soarin just laughed, and stopped singing along to the song. Still, the song continued as they both continued dancing. Rainbow was enjoying her moment. RD was enjoying the moment so much that she unknowingly laid her head onto Soarin's neck. Soarin's face reddened at the action at first, but he decided to pull her closer to him since he really liked the mare. Rainbow Dash meant the world to him, surely, she would know by now. But, the pale blue stallion didn't even tell the rainbow-maned mare how he felt about her. Soarin knew he couldn't hold in his feelings for her any longer.

The song finally comes to an end, both Soarin and Dash bow thanking each other for the dance. Together, the two left the dancefloor and decided to head a place more private. They both walk passed the large dining table they were sitting at. After a few steps, they arrive at the restaurant's doors. Soarin opens the door with his hoof to let Rainbow Dash go first. Rainbow Dash went out first and Soarin followed her, closing the door behind him. Together, the two walked from the restaurant to the ship's balcony, which was just outside the restaurant itself.

At The Dolphin's Balcony

"It's a beautiful night out here", Soarin said, gazing at the moon. The moon was so beautiful that it drew Soarin's eyes to keep staring. After about a second, he turns to Rainbow Dash, who was still staring at the moon. The light of the moon shined onto Rainbow Dash's multicolored mane, making her look more radiant than ever. 'She looks so stunning'.

Rainbow Dash turns her head from her gaze at the moon, and looks at Soarin. Soarin was still in thought by the time RD looked at him. 'I have an idea. To really get Soar to snap out of his thoughts. I'll kiss him, that should get him to snap out of his thoughts', Rainbow Dash thought, as she giggled silently. She walked closer and closer, until she was right by his face. Still, Soarin was staring into space, not noticing that Rainbow was coming closer. Rainbow leaned in, with a sneaky grin on her face, quickly kissed his cheek and backed away from the stallion. Soarin immediately snapped out of his thoughts.

His eyes widened. 'Did she just kiss me?'

Rainbow Dash waves a hoof in front of his face. "Earth to Soarin? Hello?"

Soarin shakes himself back to reality. "Oh Dashie, sorry about that."

"It's fine."

'I think it's time I tell her how I feel about her'. Soarin takes a deep breath, even though his face was still red. "Rainbow, I know I'm not very good at confessing my feelings. But, the thing is, I really like you. I've been having a huge crush on you since the Best Young Fliers Competition, it all started on that day, the day you saved my life while I was falling. The time when your friend Rarity knocked me out one time.." He hesitates for one second. "During the competition, I really wanted to thank you properly, but I was too nervous. I was paying so much attention to your brashy, confident personality that I forgot to thank you properly. But, here I am now, really thanking you for saving my life and my pie during the time of the Grand Galloping Gala. A few days after the Young Flyers Competition, I couldn't stop thinking about you. Spitfire noticed me being lovesick a few days later, not being able to focus on practicing our routine for the Gala. She told me to confess how I felt about you. But, I was too shy. But, now I have the courage to tell you how I really feel. So, do you feel the same way?" Soarin blushes a more brighter shade of red as he said his last sentence.

Rainbow Dash's eyes glowed in awe, she couldn't process any words to say at first. Soarin, the stallion every fanmare was crushing on and wanting to go on a date with, was confessing his feelings for her right before her eyes. Rainbow Dash still had very strong feelings for the stallion, but she was too shy to tell him how she felt about him. She remembered her friends constantly teasing her during the Gala about her having feelings for a wonderbolt. At first, she thought that these feelings were pointless to have, but she had to realize the hard way that love can be an awesome feeling. As Rainbow Dash processed her final thoughts, she decided to tell the stallion how she felt about him.

"Soarin, I don't know what to say. Truth to be told, I do have the same feelings for you. I also had a huge crush you during the Equestrian Games. Though I didn't realize you had a crush on me during the Best Young Flyers Competition, I was unaware of that during that time. Why didn't you tell me how you felt before?" Rainbow Dash asked, as she put a hoof on his cheek.

"You feel the same way?"

Rainbow nods. "Yes, I do".

Soarin smiles, and walks closer to her. There muzzles were almost close to one another. Rainbow Dash knew what the stallion was going to do. 'He's going to kiss me', Rainbow Dash thought to herself. She did the same, walking closer to the pale blue stallion. Their muzzles touched once they were so close to one another. Both blushing at first, Soarin smiles, closes his eyes and gently puts his lips on Rainbow's. Rainbow Dash's eyes widen at first, but realizing how much Soarin meant to her, she closed her eyes and kissed him back. Soarin's tongue licked Rainbow's outside lip, begging for entrance. Rainbow Dash gladly accepted and opened her lips wide to let Soarin's tongue battle hers. They continued to kiss passionately for a few more seconds, until they both decide that they needed to breathe.

Soarin and Dash pulled away, both blushing after the kissed they both just shared. Rainbow was slightly dazed at her first kiss with the stallion. "So, are we an item now?" she asked.

Soarin puts a wing around her, and kisses her forehead, and pulls her closer to him. "Well, what does it look like Dashie? Now, I have a question for you. Do you wanna be my marefriend?"

Rainbow nods. "I would love to be your marefriend Soarin. But, will they know once we get back to the restaurant?"

Soarin nods as well. "They will know, once we tell them".

"Let's get back to the restaurant. It's already 8:50PM".

"You're right, let's head back."

Together, the new couple walked from the balcony back to The Dish.

The mane 6 and the wonderbolts are sitting at the table, waiting for Soarin and Dash to get back. The party was beginning to come to an end. because the restaurant closed its doors at 9:30PM every night. They were beginning to wonder where the two were.

"I know this has been the best night ever, but where is Dash and Soarin Pinkie?" High Winds asked her cousin.

"Oh, I don't know Windy. They never told me or the rest of us", Pinkie said, shrugging her shoulders.

"Well, they better be back because we gotta leave this place in 30 minutes ", Spitfire in a serious tone, as she made eye contact with High Winds.

"I'm sure they'll show", Fluttershy reassured, as she joined in Pinkie Pie and High Wind's conversation.

The door opened a second later, Rainbow Dash and Soarin walked in with Soarin's wing wrapping around the mare. "Guys we're back, sorry we didn't tell you where we went. We're just outside the restaurant chatting privately".

High Wind's and Pinkie Pie's mouths gawked in surprise. "Are you two a couple now?" Pinkie and High Winds said in unison. The new couple both blush. "We are".

"Congrats sugarcube", Applejack smiled.

"Congrats, you two make such a lovely couple", Rarity said.

"Congrats Dashie, I knew you could do it", the purple alicorn told her friend.

Rainbow thanks her friends. "Thanks guys".

Fleefoot, however, still had her muzzle caught in her favorite book. She was in the middle of reading a tragic part of the story when she felt somepony's hoof giving her a small pinch. "Ow, who did that?!" Fleetfoot shouted.

"Hahahaha, you should see the look on your face", Lightning Streak laughed. Unknowingly, Lightning Streak was the one who got up from his seat to actually pinch the turquoise mare.

Fleetfoot pouted. "Lightning Streak!"

"Sorry Fleetfoot, I just had to do it." The rest of the ponies sitting at the table just laugh.

Pinkie yawns. "Guys, I'm getting tired. This has been the best night I've ever had though".

High Winds yawns. "I agree with you cousin Pinkie, we should go and get some shut eye."

"Agreed", the rest of them said. Together, the 6 friends and the wonderbolts leave the restaurant with tired faces. They hoped that tomorrow would be a better day.

Soarin yawned. "Good night Dashie, I'll see you in the morning".

Rainbow yawned as well. "Good night Soar". The two shared a quick kiss before heading with their friends back to their cabins.

As they headed for bed, a unknown note appears unexpectedly from the breeze that blew it. What is it? Who is it from?

Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for; a SoarinDash moment. I decided to feature a SoarinDash moment in the 5th Chapter - The Best Night Ever! Readers who love the SoarinDash shipping, this is your big surprise. Prior, I decided not to add the romance tag bar because I felt like the genre itself wouldn't go with the story. But I was wrong, this story definitely needed some romance. Trying to picture a romance moment and writing the actions of the characters wasn't easy for me, all I had to do was really get inspired. I listened to songs about romance. Cheeky huh?

As an author for A Mysterious Explosion - A Wonderbolt Fanfiction, I was inspired to write this story while I was thinking about history class . Since the mane 6 and the wonderbolts are both my favorite characters from the show, I wanted to write a story that would feature both of them.

Hope you enjoy this chapter fellow readers! I'm sorry if it takes me while to publish chapters, I run out of ideas too easily! I run out of the ideas so quickly that I only have the opportunity to update chapters once a week.

Oh I almost forgot about Flash Sentry, he will appear in the later chapters. He will be seen alongside Princess Celestia and Captain Prince Shining Armor. I'm sorry, but Cadence won't be featured in this story. Let's say she decided to stay in the Crystal Empire to watch over Flurry Heart. If you are going to ask if Flurry Heart will be featured in this story, I'm sorry no. But, she will be mentioned.

Chapter 6 - A Mysterious Note

The night at The Dish happened to be the best night for the six friends and the wonderbolts.They both spent so much time dancing and chatting, that they didn’t want their time at that restaurant to end. But, the time to have fun always has to end.

Celestia’s sun rose to a new morning, Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends were still asleep. While the wonderbolts, as always, woke up with the rising of Celestia’s sun. All of the members in their cabins, rose from their beds waking up from a peaceful sleep. They stretched their hooves to wake up their bodies, then their backs until they felt fully awake to start their morning.

Every morning was always going for a good cup of hot coffee or tea, but not as good as giving your face a good splash of water to really wake you up. Soarin, who was staying in a cabin with Spitfire and Fleetfoot, was the first to wake up. The pale blue stallion got up from his bed, and headed to the bathroom. When he got there, he opened the bathroom the door and turned on the faucet to start the water. To wake himself up, Soarin put two of his hooves in the running water and begins splashing his face. The water felt refreshing.

“Ah, now I feel more awake”, Soarin said, with a goofy grin on his face.

He grabbed a navy blue colored toothbrush from a cup holder that was provided by the ship’s room staff. Soarin grabbed a tube of toothpaste that was lying next to the cup holder, which was also his two roommate’s toothbrush, and squeezed a little bit of toothpaste onto the bristles of his toothbrush. He brushed his teeth in circular motions for two minutes, then rinses his mouth. Lastly, after brushing after his teeth, he grabs a towel that is hanging on the rack next to him. Sewed on the towel was his name embroidered with dark navy blue thread. His cutie mark was also sewn onto the towel. Soarin turns on the faucet again, wetting the towel with warm water. He washed his face quickly, rewashed his towel, and hung it back on the rack next to him.

Soarin gets out of the bathroom, and sits down on his bed looking bored. He groans loudly, waking up Spitfire and Fleetfoot.

“Man Soarin, can you groan with a muffler? You woke up Fleetfoot and I”, Spitfire said tiredly.

“Yeah, we also need sleep ya know”, Fleetfoot grumbled from under her pillow.

“Sorry.”

Spit and Fleet just ignored the stallion and went back to sleep.

‘There has to be something I can do before my teammates and the others wake up’, Soarin thought to himself. ‘Maybe I should just go outside for a little fresh air. I won’t be too far, I’ll just be outside the cabin.’

Soarin went outside to get some fresh air. He closed his eyes, took a couple of deep breaths. After that, he opened his eyes to admire the beautiful sunrise. “The sunrise sure is beautiful”, he said to himself. He turned his gaze from the sun, and decides to sit down and look at the blue sky. His enjoyment of looking at the clear blue morning sky was interrupted when a gust of wind blew into Soarin’s face.

Soarin shivered. “Why didn’t I bring a jacket? Aa-cho!” The stallion sneezed so loudly, that it woke up his teammates. Even RD and her friends.

From Soarin’s cabin.

“Soarin! Couldn’t you at least turn away when you sneeze!?” Spitfire shouted from their cabin.

He called back from outside the cabin. “Alright, sorry!”

The cabin Rainbow Dash shared with her friends was next doors to Misty Fly’s cabin. Not only did her friends hear Soarin’s loud sneezing, but it also woke up his other teammates as well. Rainbow Dash’s cabin door opens. Her five friends peered through the door to see what the racket was.

“Who in Celestia was sneezing so loudly?” Fluttershy asked tiredly.

“I believe it was Soarin Fluttershy”, Twilight Sparkle told her friend, as she was yawning.

Fluttershy giggles. “Twilight, that was actually a funny sneeze. I usually never hear a pony sneeze that loud. I’ve only heard dragons sneeze loudly though”.

“Well, you got that right Flutters”.

The alicorn and her friends walk out of their cabin to stretch their four hooves. After a minute of stretching, they felt more awake.

“Ah I feel better already. Wowee!” Applejack exclaimed happily.

“I can agree with you on that one Applejack”, Rainbow Dash said happily, as she looked at her orange friend.

Misty Fly, Surprise, and Wave Chill come out of their cabins yawning. The three were so tired from all the dancing at last night’s party.

“What’s going on?” Surprise asked tiredly.

Soarin gave a cheeky smile. “Sorry I woke you guys, I guess my sneezing was too loud”.

Surprise just smiled at her friend. “It’s alright, I know you didn’t mean it”.

Another gust of the wind blew in their faces, causing all of them to shiver. Unexpectedly, a mysterious envelope blows right into Soarin’s face since he was standing close to the railings.
The envelope had a fancy seal, enveloped in the scent of lavender. The seal had a zig zagged yellow lightning bolt on a cloud. Soarin holded the envelope in his hoof and looked at the seal, he looked at the seal closely, it was somepony’s cutie mark. But, whose?

Pinkie ran to Soarin, pinned him down, and took the envelope from him. Curiously, she looked at the fancy seal that secured the letter for a few seconds. Then she began to read the front of the envelope. “To Soarin Skies, The Elements of Harmony, and Spitfire.”

Pinkie peeled the seal that secured the flap of the envelope. Inside the envelope, there was a large piece of papyrus paper.

“Rarity look, have you seen paper like this before?” Pinkie asked Rarity.

“No darling, I’ve never seen-hold on-this is papyrus paper”, Rarity said, as she used her magic to take the folded letter from Pinkie Pie’s hoof.

“Papyrus paper, what’s that?” Rainbow Dash asked, joining in the conversation.

Twilight Sparkle joined in the conversation. Rarity gave the folded letter for Twilight to look at. “Papyrus is very rare paper Dashie. The plant has been used to make paper even before we ponies started using tree bark.”

Rainbow’s eyes glowed. “Wow”.

“It’s been used by the Arabs for years. They used it for writing, painting, drawing, even for other types of crafts.”

“Wow”, the other wonderbolts said.

“Should we open the letter to find out, Twilight?” Spitfire asked. “It seems like the letter is important or urgent.”

“I’m afraid so”, the purple alicorn said. She opened the envelope with her magic, and was immediately shocked at what she saw. There was a large blood stain on the letter. Twilight pulled the letter close to her and smelled the blood. She could tell the blood was fresh. The wonderbolts look at the letter too, they were shocked at the large bloodstain they saw.

The purple alicorn sighed and continued. “Before we actually read the letter and find who it’s from, let’s look at the bloodstain first.”

“Can anypony tell that this bloodstain is fresh?”

Everypony shakes their head.

“Okay, let’s read the letter”.

Dear fellow elements of harmony, Spitfire, and Soarin,

This is Thundershine and Stormy writing to you.

We escaped the underground dungeon we were kept in for quite some time. But now we’re stuck in a cave that was suppose to be our escape source. Turns out the Cultan of Saddle Arabia heard about our attempts to escape his underground dungeon from some of his guards. The Cultan has set metal bars of titanium to block the cave’s exit, now we have no way out.

Our apologies, Thunder and I have been writing this letter to you while we were severely injured. That could explain why there are large blood stains on the piece of papyrus paper. We’re sorry if we caused you to be afraid, we hope to see you soon on your arrival to Saddle Arabia.

3rd Generation Wonderbolts

Twilight begins to read the letter. “Dear fellow elements of harmony, Spitfire, and Soarin. This is Thundershine and Stormy writing to you. The others gasped after Princess Twilight Sparkle read the last sentence of the letter.
Spitfire’s eyes began to tear, she smiled. “My mom’s alive? I’m relieved.”

Soarin began to grow serious. “How many weeks do we have left of this boat trip?”

“2 weeks are left for this boat trip Soarin”, Pinkie Pie said.

“2 weeks!?” Soarin shouted, as the others stared at him.

“Yup, it’s a long boat ride from where we live”, the pink mare said, as she jumped around.

Soarin gulped. “Pinkie Pie, you are so random”.

They continued chatting and laughing until they heard their stomachs rumble. “Guys, what time is it? We’re all getting hungry”, Fluttershy mentioned. Everypony agreed. “Well, where are we gonna eat?”

“It’s 8:45AM Fluttershy”, High Winds told the butterscotch mare, as she looked at the clock on the wall in front of her.

“Okay”.

“Let’s sightsee, then we can find a restaurant that serves breakfast”, Rainbow Dash suggested.

“What are waiting for? Let’s go everypony!” Surprise said. Together, they exited the passenger section of the ship and walked towards the dining area of the ship.

Here is Chapter 6, which happened to be a continuation of Chapter 5 itself. I wrote this chapter on google docs, then copy & pasted from google docs in order to publish the story.

Chapter 7 - Escaping Out Of Confinement & A Battle's Hiatus

The sun was setting into the west horizon. Stormy Flare, Thundershine, and Starks Brightstar were still stuck in the now barred cave. They were still served food, but they were given no blankets or pillows to keep warm during the night. The three just lay on the ground in their new cell doing nothing productive at all. There was silence among the three. None of them talked, or made eye contact with one another, they were too tired to speak. But one of them decided to break the silence.

“You sure sending a letter to them by bird was such a good idea, Stormy?” Stark yawned.

“Yes, I'm sure Starks”, Stormy replied, as she yawned as well. “It was the only solution we had. No one is bound to even here us in this hellhole anyway.”

“Watch your language Flare, you’re not a teenager anymore”, Thundershine said to her friend, as she closed her eyes in exhaustion.

Stormy blushed, then closed her eyes. “Sorry Thunder”.

Thunder turns to the side to rest. “Don’t mention it, it’s fine.”

Stark looks at her two friends.“Let’s get some shuteye girls. If we wake up, let’s find a way to escape”.

“Sure”, Thunder and Stormy responded in unison.

The three ponies fell asleep as their talking came to a silence. In their dreams, they hoped that the war between Saddle Arabia and Equestria would be over for good. But, what the three of them didn’t know was that they were going to have a hard time escaping out of confinement.

The Cultan’s dungeon was built by the most skilled pony architects 2,000 years ago, its structure was so complex that no prisoner would’ve been able to escape. The dungeon contained hidden trapdoors, twisted halls, labyrinths, and dangerous traps. Prisoners who had attempted to escape the building either died or disappeared without a trace.

As Thundershine, Stormy Flare, and Stark slept peacefully, you can hear loud yelling from the council of the Cultan’s palace.

“What do you mean we have to hold off the troops?!” Cultan Shira said, as slammed his hoof on the table in frustration.

The Council Leader gulped in fear, he knew how angry Cultan Shira was when he decided to hold off their troops for the next two weeks. “I”m sorry sire, but I’m afraid we have to. The ponies who will be battling our troops haven’t arrived yet.”

Cultan Shira’s face began to fume. “What?!? Why couldn’t you just-”. He paused, and took a breath. “My friend, I’m sorry to have yelled at you. I was just being impatient. You may continue with your speech”.

“As I was saying, we have to hold off our troops due to the long boat journey they’re on. It’s not like they can magically appear before our eyes”.

“You’re right Madel, we’ll hold it off until they arri-”.

Lord Madel’s sentence was interrupted by the Cultan’s stomach grumbling in hunger. Cultan Shira, whose stomach was rumbling like a hungry lion, chuckled at what he heard. “You are dismissed Madel, we will discuss the war plans tomorrow afternoon. You deserve a needed break”.

Lord Madel bowed. “Thank you sire”. With that, the stallion walked in the opposite direction of the Cultan and headed towards his quarters. The Cultan watch the stallion walk in the opposite direction until he was out of sight.

“I must head to the dining hall”, the Cultan said to himself, as he trotted off into the direction of the doors to the dining hall of the castle.

Thundershine, Stormy Flare, and Starks were still fast asleep in their cell by the time Cultan Shira headed to the castle's dining hall to fill up his empty stomach. The three friends were snoring calmly, as they twisted and turned in their sleep. Their ears moved as they could hear the hoofsteps of the castle guards trotting by.

“Look at one of them”, a castle guard whispered outside of their cell. “They sleep like baby foals”.

“They sure do”, a pegasus guard agreed with his friend.

Together, the pegasus guard and his friend walked away from their cell as they headed to other parts of the castle.

Meanwhile in the cell, the three companions were still fast asleep. As they were sleeping calmly, their ears moved to the sound of the castle guards’ hooves trotting by. The hoof steps of the castle guards became fainter once they walked out of the dungeon halls and along every cell.

Thundershine opened one eye as she laid in a resting position. Hearing the sound of the hoof steps in the dungeon's halls woke the mare up from her slumber. She tried to close her eyes again, but her eyes wouldn't budge.'Okay Thundershine, this is what your eyes do for staying open like that', a little voice inside her head said. As much as she wanted to get up from her resting position, her body refused.

"Uh", Thundershine quietly groaned. "My body won't let me get up on my four hooves." The wonderbolt's body suggested that she rest, her body was in no condition to be up and moving at this time.

The sun had completely set by the time Thunder and her friends went to sleep. Cultan Shira was already in the dining room eating dinner, while Thunder's other friends were still fast asleep. Thunder continued to struggle as her body pulled her down with greater force. Her body, from head to hoof, was slit as dried blood can be seen leaking from the mare's body. She was greatly injured due to being cut by the sharp blades of swords years before. The wonderbolt never wiped off the dried blood from her body, the scars still remained.

She struggled a few more times. During her last try, the high ranking bolt gave up and fell to the ground with a slight THUD. The frightening sound woke up Stormy Flare and Starks, startling them.

"Thundershine, can't you see were trying to sleep here?" Stormy said, still laying on the stone floor.

The female wonderbolt blushed. "Sorry about that guys".

"It's fine Thunder", Starks said tiredly, as she fell back asleep. After Starks was fast asleep, Stormy Flare did the same and went back to sleep as well.

Thundershine's two friends were finally asleep, as she was about to look at the barred exit of their cave prison, she hears a mysterious noise. 'Shhh! Shhh!' 'Who is making such a strange noise?' the wonderbolt wondered, as she hid behind the wall of the cave to listen.

Amongst the voices, there was a conversation between two Saddle Arabian castle guards who were guarding their prison. The guards who worked for Cultan Shira were major chatter boxes, but they really disliked their king. He was cruel, rude, unkind, and selfish and was shown to not treat his fellow Arabian citizens nicely. These two guards, who also happened to know Thunderwing, were talking about their friend in the halls.

From behind the walls of the cave prison, Thundershine moves her ear to hear their conversation more clearly.

“Can’t believe Thunderwing was assigned to keep an eye on the Cultan’s opponents”, the first guard said to his friend, as they were both walking down the hall of cells.

“Who’s Thunderwing?”, the second guard asked his friend.

The first guard snickers.“Thunderwing is his nickname my friend, his real name is Night Flash”.

“Night Flash, is he one of the newest members of the Pegasus Guard? I heard he was the one of the youngest members to join two or three years back.”

“Right again, did you know that he was close friends with a certain filly when he was just a young colt himself?”

“Who would that young filly be? Where is she now?”

“I heard she became a founding member of the Flight and Military team...the Wonderbolts after they went their separate ways”.

“She’s in that cave prison we assembled for her, under Cultan Shira’s orders”.

“I know that. They’re both practically like brother and sister”.

“Moving on from that, remember when Night Flash first joined the guard?”

“Dude, that was 5 years ago. He’s 30 years old now, he’s a successful alumnus of the guard training school in Canterlot.”

“Why would he be working over here?”

The other guard shrugged and continued walking with his friend down the dungeon halls. Their hooves thumped causing an echo in the hall. Once the two guards were out of sight, the noise died down.

In The Cave Dungeon

“Good thing they didn’t spot me, I can’t believe those two guards were so caught up in their own conversation while on duty”, Thundershine said quietly, trying not to wake her two sleeping friends.

The sky was still dark, only the torches hanging across the hall were the very light sources igniting the hallway. The indigo mare slid her back down the wall, breathing slowly in relief. She took a couple more deep breaths and looked at a small opening of the cave that shown a speck of light from Luna’s moon. Thundershine looked up, drawn by the sight of the beautiful night.

‘I overheard them talking about Night Flash, do those guards know him? My guess is yes, they might know him.’

‘Night Flash is a long time friend, I’ve known him for years. He’s only a year younger than me though. We were the best of friends in flight school, along with a few others.’

Still in thought, Thundershine yawned. She hadn’t got much sleep. ‘The conversation might have woken me up from my slumber’, she thought to herself. ‘I’m going back to sleep’. The indigo mare laid her body down and slowly closed her eyes.

‘Good night’ the voice in her head.

Author's Notes:

Note that in this story, Saddle Arabia is 12 hours ahead of Equestria's time zone, making it night time over there. That explains why Thundershine and her friends were so tired. Characters I have featured in this story are some of my OCs. Thundershine, Starks Brightstar, Blue Streak, and Night Flash are OCs I have created for this story and are a part of my personal art sketches that will be converted into digital art eventually.

(Blue Streak is my OC, who is Soarin's father in the story.)

Dear readers,

I apologize for such a long delay in updating this story. I'm currently dealing with real life outside Fimfiction. To those who expect a chapter to be updated, my apologies, as an author..I will not allow myself to give the release date of a chapter. Chapters take time and effort to write, so it's best readers to give the author some time to finish writing.

I've realized that you guys are starting to take an interest in this story, considering I wrote this story for a couple personal reasons.

My progress in writing is lacking due to real life. I love writing, but I deserve a break every now and then.
