Prologue
"What?!" shouted Twilight, her voice filling the whole Royal Canterlot Stage. Ponies quickly dismissed it as they were preparing for the most biggest and most computer-using stage play ever held in Equestria, based off the sunken ship Titanic, which left from United Ponies to Canterlot, before it hit an iceberg and sank on it's maiden voyage. "I cannot do a main role! Specially not in a romantic play!" shouted Twilight again to the director.
"Twilight, we need this play to give peace to the souls who were taken to the skies on that fateful day. Also, the story of your granny will also be revealed." said the Director, much to the confused look of Twilight. "These were the Princess' words, not mine, but my thoughts are just the same. Twilight, you cannot quit on us after all this researching and acting, please! This play will be watched by ponies for centuries!"
"I guess that is one way to look at it... When will Granny Sparkle come here anyway?" asked Twilight, looking at her hooves. I don't really meet Granny that much since I was two, but everyone tells me I look just like her. Is the story we are acting upon is really her own story? thought Twilight as she realized that Director Blueberry was pushing her onto the stage.
"Get ready, Twilight, this is Apple Rich and your show, you cannot bring it down." said Blueberry as she went behind curtains. Twilight gulped at the curtain as she heard Spike.

"Gentleponies and gentlecolts, welcome to the biggest play in the history of Equestria! This is based of true events of the famous sinking of Titanic, and the old life of our own food show host, Granny Sparkle! The special effects are very good, you will really feel you are in water on a ship! All thanks to Vinyl Scratch, our digital master. Now be ready as you see the grand tale of..." said Spike as he moved off the stage with a grin just before it could be called creepy. "Titanic."
The curtain lifted to show a underwater scene, in the middle was the magic submarine that is used to explore the seas of Equestria. the scene zoomed into the machine to show three unicorn stallions working in it. One had a brown mane with a silver body, with an test tube as his cutie mark. He wore blue work goggles. The second stallion had various shades of blue in his body and mane, looking just like the ocean. He had a cutie mark which resembled a map, similarly he was working on a underwater map. The third stallion had a red mane and brown body, and had gold as his cutie mark. They were all working when the third one spoke.
"Alright, we got a huge metal thing coming at us." said the stallion, but no one cared.
"It would just be a iron deposit, Magicboom." said the first one.
"Oh yeah? why not let's just check it out then." said Magicboom in a angry voice. "You really are not a good partner, Sea Tube."
"I could just say the same about you." replied Sea Tube bluntly, closing his eyes.
"Just, shut up you two! Look, it looks like an... ship." said the third stallion.
"Wh-What? Is that right, Eagle?!" said Magicboom as the two rushed to the window to join their partner. "Looks like a ghost ship or something. Nothing like we have previously discovered."
"Ghosts aren't real." said Sea Tube, already loading a program that made a magic machine go out into the ocean, connected to the submarine with a tube. "Now let's see what treasures it holds."
Sea Tube drove the machine into the ship, occasionally breaking wooden furniture that floated in front of them. Then they entered a room in which a king size bed was floating. "A first class room, always treasured." said Sea Tube, smiling. He pushed the bed aside and then saw a vault of sorts. "Got the treasure." said Sea Tube as he got the box and went all the way back to the submarine.
"Oh yeah!" shouted Eagle Wing.
"We got the treasure! Emeralds, rubies, diamonds, gold!" said Magicboom, grinning to himself. "I wonder what I'll be!"

"A PICTURE?!" screamed Magicboom. "All we got from that huge ship was an picture?!"
They were standing upon a ship in the ocean, a laboratory ocean research ship, the S.S. Celestia. They were surrounded by people trying to clear the water and dust from the picture.
"At least we got something that could reveal the secrets!" shouted Eagle back at Magicboom.
"The picture is done!" a green maned blue pegasus mare said, her cutie mark hidden by her wings. All the other people crowded over her, looking at the picture.
"Holy Celestia!" said Sea Tube as he saw a sketch of a mare looking just like Miss Twilight back at Canterlot Castle, laying on a bed wearing the fabled diamond, The Stomach of the Sea. He then glanced over to the signature, that said 'Jack Orange'. "This mare, she is so beautiful! I have seen her, guys! She is Princess Celestia's young student, Twilight Sparkle! But she is not... she and us were not even born eighty years ago!"
"Then how... how did she get in the picture?!" asked Eagle Wing. "She couldn't have time traveled, did she?"
"Eighty years ago... Let's broadcast this, guys, somepony will come up with the truth." said Magicboom.

Twilight stared at a sketch of herself in the TV, unsure what to think. She was visiting her granny, and her granny was standing right beside her. Her granny looked just like Twilight- same coloration and same everything. Except that her hair was white, wrinkles all over the body, and wearing a lab coat.
"How could my picture be possibly in the Titanic!?!" said Twilight, walking around in circles. Then she saw her granny was staring right at the TV. "Granny? Granny where are you?"
"Huh? Oh, right here, dear." said Granny Sparkle. "I was just thinking back."
"Thinking?" asked Twilight as she saw the painting closely again. "Oh see, Granny, the cutie mark in this picture is not my cutie mark!" said Twilight as she pointed to the cutie mark of the mare wearing the stomach of the sea. It was a rose surrounded by stars. "Now where did I see that cutie mark... Hmm..." thought Twilight out loud as she walked into the other room. Granny Sparkle then dialed the number given in the TV.
"Hello? Hello is this Eagle Wing?" said Granny. "Oh yes, I have some information regarding the picture you found in the sunken wreck of Titanic. Yes, about the mare. Actually, the mare in the photo is me. I am Granny Sparkle, I host the Canterlot Cook Show? I expect to see you soon."
"What. What did you just say to that man?!" asked Twilight, her eyes wide and mouth open as she stood in the doorway. "This mare, I mean, you, look just like me! My mom doesn't look this much like me! This is impossible! This is scientifically impossible!"
"My dear Twilight, it might be scientifically impossible. But everything is magically possible." said Granny Sparkle as she took off her lab coat to reveal her cutie mark, a red rose surrounded by a shower of yellowish white stars.
Author's notes- I know this is short, but it is just a Prolouge. The story is based off the motion picture Titanic, as you already know. Feedback would be appreciated. This does not mean I'll not be doing my other well known fic, Trixie's Gettin' Back on Her Hooves. Please tell me if there are any mistakes. =D ~~~ Shadow Raikou.
Chapter 1: Set Sail!
"You know they are lying." said Magicboom, gaining speed with the other two stallions to the chopper pad. "How come she is even alive?"
"You grandmother lived to be a hundred and twenty years old, you shouldn't ask that." said Eagle Wing. "And she looks just the the picture!"
Sea Tube smiled at the two stallions as they reached the landing pad. In a few minutes a chopper appeared on the horizon, the peak of Canterlot Castle the only sign that there was land. It landed as Sea Tube went ahead to help Granny Sparkle down, followed by Twilight. Pinkie Pie followed Twilight out, and finally Gummy, Spike, Owloysius and the pet hawk of Granny, Speedy, much to the strange looks of the crew, when Speedy flew past them.
"I am very delighted to see and hold the hands of the mare who not only survived the sinking, but also wore the Stomach of the Sea." said Sea Tube, helping Granny Sparkly into the submarine, which was docked just beside the pad, specially placed for the age of Granny Sparkle. "I hope you are ready to go back to the Titanic."
"Why yes, dear. And you three must be...?" asked Granny, looking at Sea Tube with her eyes that looked just the same as the day Titanic was due to leave.
"I am Sea Tube, madam. I am in charge of the whole operation." said Sea Tube, opening the hatch which led into the submarine.
"Eagle Wing, maam. I was on the TV for the information. You looked really beautiful, really, in that picture, and over the years your beauty hasn't left." said Eagle as he quickly realized that he was actually calling Miss Twilight beautiful, that just met with a clearly visible blush, however, Twilight didn't notice it, instead helping Granny.
"And this is Magicboom, I'm your big fan. Nearly all good recipes I make are from your show. I am the co-founder of the expedition to the Titanic."
"Why thank you, you three are perfect gentle stallions." said Granny Sparkle, who was now adjusting to the darkness of the submarine.
"Granny, actually Pinkie, I and these gentlecolts wan't you to tell us the whole story of the Titanic... because more information will be more good for the Canterlot research facility. If that is okay with you?" asked Twilight, making Granny Sparkle stop, thinking back, thinking back eighty years.
"Why not, dear." said Granny as everyone was safely inside the submarine, when Magicboom locked the door and started the submarine. This was not the same submarine they handled while discovering Titanic, instead a more roomy one with bigger windows, unlike the small circular window in the littered-with-scientific-stuff submarine, The Hydra. The submarine, named The Whale then made a loud noise, as the crew above released the submarine into the water. Magicboom then just steered the submarine vessel down, listening to the others carefully.
"The ship, when the collision happened, made a dent that filled the front compartments with water, making the ship lift up. When the pressure couldn't take it any more, SPLAT! The ship broke into two. The front half went down first and speedily, as the other half went down slowly." explained Sea Tube with the use of hand signals and a chart that depicted the sinking.
"I think she already knows that." said Eagle, met with just a stern look from Sea Tube.
"Just shut up!" replied Sea Tube,
"See, this behavior of yours is exactly why me and Magicboom call you Sea Brute!" replied Eagle Wing, as Sea Tube turned around to face Magicboom.
"You call me what now?" asked Sea Tube, as Magicboom ducked in his chair.
"I, uh, I, hey! We are here." shouted Magicboom, pushing Sea Tube out of the way.
Granny Sparkle looked at the wreck of the Titanic, imagining the way it used to be on the day her maiden voyage started. Then she sat down onto the cushion, which was placed on the chair, and waited for everybody to settle. Magicboom kept sitting in his 'pilot' chair, Sea Tube was on a cushion placed on the floor. Twilight and Pinkie sat in two separate bean bags, Pinkie sitting in a awkward pose for a pony, just like Lyra back home in Ponyville. Granny Sparkle started.

"I, Sunshine 'Rose' Sparkle, was a very rich Canterlot pony belonging to a rich family, just like any other Canterlot unicorn. We visited our relatives at United Ponies by a small passenger ship, but we booked the 7-day cruise on the RMS Titanic for the return." told Granny as the scene shifted to a dock crowded with thousands, no, nearly millions of ponies either waving goodbye or going aboard. The time was dark, for it was five in the morning. "The RMS Titanic, the most luxurious ship at the time, was about to leave for Canterlot in twenty minutes, and ponies were rushing up in a stampede." The scene zoomed into a carriage from which neatly and beautifully dressed Canterlot unicorns going out. A stallion looking like a younger Fancy Pants, just the hairstyle and hair color different, being brown with a spiky hairstyle. One could see his cutie mark through his tuxedo, which was three bags of money. He went up and opened the door when a beautiful mare looking just like Twilight (Played by Twilight with an altered cutie mark) stepped out, wearing a cap and a dress, looking at the ship of luxury and dreams. "My family wanted me to marry Mr. Fancy Gold, for we would get even more money. He was a gentle stallion and all, but he was just too unfocused and unloving. We climbed aboard the Titanic, our carriage was taken aboard on the luggage deck. As soon as entering, we saw the grand staircase, and a fancy first class restruant.
The scene shifted to show a bar in the dock, where four stallions were playing a game of blackjack. One of them was a light brown haired, sky blue land pony and another was a black haired, green land pony.
"20." said the sky stallion.
"19." said the green one.
"12." said another.
"18." said the last.
"We win. We get the tickets." said the green one. "What time is it, Loe?"
"Titanic leaves for Canterlot in five minutes!" the bartender, 'Loe', replied. He motioned for them to leave.
"Here ya go, Apple Green." said the last stallion as he threw the tickets only to be caught by Apple Green.
"Let's run, Jackie!" said Apple to the sky pony as they both rushed through the crowd on-board the Titanic. They had to wait all five minutes right before they were let in, after all the unicorns were aboard. They got into their cabin, where two more ponies were already resting.
"Hi, I'm Jack Orange. This is my friend Apple Green." Introduced Jack, as the other two ponies just turned over. "All right, be modest. Hey Apple, let's head to the stern!"
They rushed to the stern of the ship, looking out to the ocean and spotting dolphins. All the ponies on the docks were looking like ants, we were already on course to Canterlot. They were being watched by Captain Sea Apple, who was drinking her tea on the bridge. (Played by Applejack in a captain's outfit with her trademark hat having an Royal Canterlot Line logo, and using her Canterlot accent.)
"I look forward to sailin' smooth, not unlike the Olympic incident, isn't that right, Ice Cube?" asked Sea Apple as she looked at the sunrise.
"That'll be right, captain." said chief officer Ice Cube, steering the ship to a constant course. He was a cyan-white unicorn with red hair, with an steering wheel and an anchor as cutie mark. "That delayed Titanic's completion anyways."
"Sure that did, what does the radio say?" asked Sea Apple. "Sure hope not another ship."
"Preferably not another Royal Guard Navy ship." said Ice Cube as the two ponies laughed. "Alright, Reduce Speed, late passengers reaching in boats."
"Alright, Send first officer Speedin' High to warn the crew to lower the docking station, and adjust the speed to match that of the radio." said Sea Apple. "And warn her about the passengers, tell her to fly smooth!"
Ice Cube sighed at High's name and sent a message to her cabin.

A certain rainbow haired cyan pegasus, donning the officer uniform checked her radio.
"Aw, not that again! I'm having second thoughts on joining this voyage." said Speedin' High, flying out of the cabin. (Played by Rainbow Dash) She flew at high speed around the starboard, driving some first class passengers scared of cannonballs. as she suddenly stopped in front of docking master Icicle Dip, making him cower in fear. He was a white earth pony with stark blue hair.
"HIGH! Just an inch and you would have thrown me overboard!" screamed Icicle, before regaining his volume. "Now WHAT is it?"
"Lower the station, boats coming with passengers." replied High as she flew back to her cabin before Dip could reply.
"I am going to have a heart attack someday because of her!" mumbled Icicle.
"I think most of the crew shares your thoughts, sir." A crew member laughed.
"Just go lower the station, you, you... oh forget it." said Icicle, looking over to the approaching boats.

"Well wasn't that a speeding start of the story, eh?" said Spike, now dressed in a tuxedo, as the curtains fell "Now we are in for a break of story, wan't some jokes?" said Spike, much to the silence of the audience. "Okay, why did the whale cross the current? To get to the other tide! Get it? get it?" said Spike, before a yellow hand pulled him back into the curtains.
Authors Note: Yes, I am a slow writer, and I cannot even write well, which I hope explains the short chapters. However I'm trying to write this story with much detail. Feedback would be appreciated, and some of you might not understand the Olympic/Royal Guard Navy reference. ;D I mainly wan't to know your opinion of the characters introduced in this chapter, and boy were there many. ~~~~ Shadow Raikou.
