Crush
Chapter 7: Ending It
Previous Chapter Next ChapterJune 17th. Rainbow excitedly sat in the rented carriage, next to Busybay, Soarin, and Hoop. In the front, her older brothers (which scared Soarin half to death), and her dad.
"Yay! We're going to Six Ponies! We should all ride Saddle Rage together! They have four seats per row!" Busybay cheered excitedly.
Rainbow just leaned against the back window with disappointment. Only if Flashing Skies had liked large roller coasters- but he didn't.
Rainbow fantasized about a romantic moment, on the ferris wheel, where they could kiss each other in total privacy, Soarin, Hoop, and Busybay on their own cart.
She kept fantasizing until the carriage stopped. "We're here." Rainbow Blaze said.
Rainbow picked up her head, looking at the large rides above them.

Soarin trotted close to Rainbow as they entered the park. He was so happy to see her beautiful features, glad she wasn't stuck in Cherrybomb's basement closet. Instead, she was free, right next to him. She would be okay.
"So how should we start?" Busybay asked.
"I don't know. I think we should ride-" Soarin began, but was cut off by a disapproving stare by RainbowKnight, Rainbow's oldest brother, who had the same rainbow mane, but with light black fur and purple sparkling eyes.
Soarin then realized he was very close to Dash, and he was about to wrap his left wing around her.
Heat his face and he backed away, and continued, "The Wizard."
"I remember Wizard. I almost fell off that when I was eight." a grumpy, light green, rainbow-maned pegasus said.
"Envy, you're like, three times your size!" Dash exclaimed.
"Whatever. I'm never riding that thing again." Envy grumbled again.
"Well, how 'bout Soarin, Hoop, Busybay and I go together, and Dad, you can go with Knight and Envy." Rainbow said.
"Sure. Be safe, guys. Don't separate. That's asking for trouble." Rainbow's Dad replied.
Rainbow admired her father's trust in her.
"Whatever. See you guys!" Rainbow said, and the two groups split paths.
"So, to Wizard?" Hoop asked.
"Yeah. I'll ride with BusyBay, Hoop, you can ride with Soarin." Rainbow said.
Hoop just nodded, and they used the park map to find Wizard.
The old ride clanked loudly as it spiraled up it's lift hill. A spiral lift hill.
Then young fillies and colts screamed as it dropped. It wasn't a very thrilling ride, but it was good for beginners, or a warm-up ride for ponies who haven't ridden roller coasters in a while.
After about ten minutes of waiting, Soarin, Hoop, Busybay and Rainbow Dash managed to get their way into a car. Soarin and Hoop sitting behind the mares.
"I feel like I'm sitting on Santa Hooves's lap." Soarin commented, as he sat in front of the larger stallion's lap, because that's how the cars work.
"Same here." Busybay replied.
The employees of Six Ponies checked the seat belts, and let the ride begin.
"This is gonna make me dizzy." Soarin commented as they were halfway up the old spiral lift hill.
Finally when they got to the top, little fillies and colts screamed in horror, while the other four tween and teenage mares and colts laughed.
The Wizard's car dropped down, and semi-thrilling turns happened, and smaller drops, and the rough old ride ended.
"What next?" Busy asked, hopping happily as they left the Wizard.
"Let's do Viper." Soarin said.
Rainbow gulped. On her eleventh birthday, she went on Viper. It was a terrifying experience, because she was a little twig, and she was in the back, her seat belt wasn't tight enough, the lap bar didn't go all the way down to her lap. She was standing up everytime it dropped.
"Sure." Rainbow said nervously.
"Scared?" Soarin asked, "I can ride with you. I-if you want."
"I'm her riding partner." Busybay replied quickly.
"Right." Soarin sighed.
Finally, after a fifteen minute wait, they got on the old wooden coaster. They did, luckily for Rainbow Dash, sat in the middle.
The employees gave the all-clear, and the ride took off.
Rainbow didn't laugh- she didn't scream either. She just remained silent.
She didn't stand up when it dropped, though. A smile crept to her face and she just laughed.
***
Night came, and the ponies rode everything. Even the new coaster, which had a jam-packed line, and they decided to go onto the ferris wheel.
"Hey, what was your guy's favorite?" Busybay asked, "Mine was Pegasus Flight."
"For me, it's Spartan. The new one." Rainbow replied, and Soarin and Hoop agreed.
They got in the cart, and the ride began to go up.
"Doesn't the moon look cool from here? I haven't flown all day, I forgot what it was like already." Hoop said.
"Yeah. The rides with lights look great. It reminds me of the end of every summer, when I go to the Cloudsdale fest." Soarin replied.
Rainbow smiled,
"I love the Cloudsdale fest! Ever been on that claw ride?"
***
The trip back was tiring, and everypony fell asleep in the carriage, sitting and sleeping- but Rainbow Blaze, who drove.
"Hey kids, wake up. Soarin, Hoop, you need to go home." Rainbow Blaze said, stopping at Hoop's house.
Soarin yawned, and got up and stretched his wings as he exited the crowded carriage. Hoop repeated the process.
Rainbow still remained asleep, but Busybay woke up, and whispered, "Bye."
Soarin just smiled at his sleeping crush. How come he was the only one to think she was the most beautiful mare in the world? "Bye." he whispered back, and Hoop said nothing, but made his way to his house.
The two tired colts quickly set up a sleeping bag for Soarin and he fell asleep the second he lay down on it.
***
The doorbell rang, and Rainbow yawned and opened it, to a happy coltfriend.
"Hey Rainbow. Can I come in?" he asked.
"Sure." Rainbow replied, and she shut the door behind him.
"So how was your trip to Six Ponies?" he asked.
"Good, good. We rode everything. I wished you were there." Rainbow sighed.
"You know I don't like big coasters." Flashing replied.
Rainbow chuckled, "Oh, you're a big baby."
"Whatever. Whatcha wanna do today?" he asked, nuzzling his marefriend, "We can go to my house."
Rainbow looked at her coltfriend,
"Sure."
***
Things surely heated up over there. Or that's a term Rainbow would use. Right now, her and Flashing Skies were making out on his bed, which didn't squeak, unlike Rainbow's.
"You're an amazing kisser, you know that, right?" Rainbow asked, sighing in happiness as Flashing parted.
"Y'know, I might be amazing at something else, too..." Flashing gave a small smile, and a blush hit his cheeks.
"Oh, uh what?" Rainbow asked.
"You know what. How 'bout we give it a shot?" Flashing asked.
Rainbow looked away, "I don't know, I mean, what if we're caught...or if I get, y'know...pregnant..." she said quietly.
"I can use condoms, Rainbow." Flashing soothed, "You'll be fine."
"What if it breaks, though? I just don't feel ready... I'm not even fourteen yet, Flashing." Rainbow replied.
"You'll be fourteen in a few days, Dash! Come, on please?" Flashing Skies asked.
"No..." Rainbow replied, "I just can't..."
"You have to." Flashing replied.
"Why?" Rainbow asked.
"Just do it for me, okay?"
"Flashing, I'm not comfortable doing this." Rainbow said, getting to the point.
"You'll be perfectly fine. Let's just do it." Flashing replied, beginning to get impatient.
"Sorry Flashing, but no, I can't. Can you just accept that?" Rainbow sighed.
"You're being ridiculous. You can do it, Rainbow. Everypony can. Just trust me, okay?" Flashing grumbled.
"No. I'm not going to. I'm sorry." Rainbow replied, assertively.
"Rainbow!" Flashing half-yelled.
Rainbow got out from under Flashing Skies.
"No. Y'know what, we're done!" Rainbow said, and began to walk out the door.
"What?! You're not-" Flashing began, but Rainbow didn't listen, and walked out of the front door.
"You heard me. We're done. Buck you. If you really loved me, you wouldn't of have pressured me into this. Goodbye!"
She slammed the door behind her, and casually flew away from Flashing Skies's home.
