The first thing the six ponies noticed was that their cars were on a very white and soft road in front of a big, white coliseum surrounded by smaller buildings. Rainbow Dash gasped.

"Don't get out of your vehicles, no matter what happens!" Rainbow Dash said. "We're on top of a cloud!"

"Good work noticing it so fast, Rainbow Dash." Discord's voice said. "But there's no need to worry, those clouds are special, crafted by myself! Ground ponies can step on them for as long and as hard as they want. Why do you think your cars are still up here?"

"Well..."

"But I can't do anything if one of you fall off the edge, so be warned!"

Rarity gulped, memories of her time on the Best Young Flyer competition suddenly returning. "F-Fall?"

"But you're all capable drivers, I doubt any of you will fall off the edge, right?"

"Darn tootin'!" Applejack said.

"Eeyup!" her brother agreed.

"But anyway, without further ado, let Twisted Met--"

"Wait a second." Fluttershy said, looking around. "Where are the other contestants? Or are we the only ones?"

"Oh they're around! I didn't wanted everypony to start in the same place, so I sent all of them to different places of the cloud. And no more interruptions, Twisted Metal begins now!"

Fireworks came out of the coliseum, meaning that Twisted Metal had started.

Inside the coliseum, Discord approached the grey car and the black motorcycle in the middle of the arena. Floating above him were two semitransparent cloud spheres, each with a pony inside, but it was impossible to see who they were.

"It's time to wake up, my secret weapons. Time to wake up and have some fun outside!"

The spheres landed each on a vehicle that were surrounded by the clouds as well. After a few seconds, the clouds dissipated. The motorcycle now had a grey pegasus wearing a helmet and a leather jacket sitting on it. The grey car also had a new driver: a grey alicorn mare with an evil smirk on her face.

"Twisted Metal will not last long this month!" Twilight said while revving the engine. She looked at the motorcycle driver. "What do you think, Ghost Rider?"

The biker didn't said anything. She didn't even moved.

"She agrees!" Discord said. "Now go, my little puppets! I want to know if this month's winner will be the Disharmony Report or the Ghost Rider."

"Hah! It's definiely going to be me." Twilight said, using her hoof to move her fringe away from her eyes. "Ghost Rider is a capable driver, but an amateur compared to me. I am an almighty Princess! She is a mere pegasus."

Ghost Rider turned her head and looked at Twilight, who simply smirked evilly at her.

"Ok, that's enough! Don't get me wrong, I love some good chaos now and then, but you two have a Twisted Metal to win!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever! Race you to the exit, Ghos--"

Before Twilight could finish the sentence, Ghost Rider accelerated and disappeared through the now open entrance of the coliseum.

"Eager to start, aren't you?" Twilight accelerated and exited the coliseum as well.

Discord laughed. "Those ponies don't stand a chance against my chaotic duo!"

"YEEEEEHAAAAW!" Applejack shouted after her brother shot the tires of another racer, incapacitating him of keep going. "Doin' good, Big Mac!" the stallion smiled.

"Why are you cheering, Applejack?" Rainbow Dash asked angrily. "This is not a fun game, this is serious!"

"Gee, don't be such a meanie, Dashie!" Pinkie Pie said. "We're not hurting anypony, so try to have a little fun."

"What happened to you, Pinkie? Your concept of fun suddenly changed from 'harmless foalish games' to 'murder attempt during evil tournaments'! Don't think I forgot about that last mare."

"But she was frowning."

"You almost crushed her!"

"Eyes on the road, Pinkie Pie!" Applejack shouted.

But it was too late and Pinkie Pie crashed her truck at full speed on the back of Rarity's car. Rarity screamed as her car was thrown toward the edge of the cloud. The front wheels of Rare Gem were hanging on the air and the rear wheels, who were still on the cloud, started tomove toward the longest fall of her life - and this time Rainbow Dash couldn't save her.

"Oops!" Pinkie Pie said with the ghost of a smile on the corner of her mouth.

Big Macintosh jumped from the truck and tied a rope to the rear bumper of Rarity's Mustang. When he tied the other end of the rope to Applejack's truck front bumper, the white car fell.

The fashionista slammed her face against the windshield, making it crack. "Help me! HELP ME!" she screamed.

"Hang on, Rarity!" Applejack said before she started to pull Rarity's car.

Pinkie Pie jumped from her truck and approached the edge of her car. When she looked down, she grinned.

"Splat!" she said before giggling.

"Why the hay ya said that, Pinkie Pie?" Applejack asked.

"Because that's the sound it makes when a pony hits the ground after a veeeeeery looooooong fall!"

When Applejack pulled the car back up, they all noticed that both the windshield and the driver were missing. Pinkie Pie giggled before jumping back on her truck and driving away.

"Pinkie Pie, come back here!" Rainbow Dash called before driving after the ice cream truck.

Since she was a lot faster, she caught up quickly, but suddenly an explosion happened below Sweet Tooth, sending it flying towards a cloud building; she landed upside down on top of it.

"Cloud Mines, never join Twisted Metal without 'em!" said a very familiar voice from within the mist that resulted from the explosion on the cloud.

"That voice..."

After the mist dissipated, Rainbow Dash saw a grey car with a grey alicorn driving it, with only a hole on the cloud keeping them apart.

"Hello, Rainbow Dash!" Twilight said, flapping her wings. "Long time no see."

"Twilight? What Discord did to you?"

"He granted my wish."

"And what are you doing here? Are you working for him now?"

"Don't get me wrong, Rainbow! I don't need Discord. I don't need anypony! I'm just having some fun."

"You call this fun? What if you killed Pinkie Pie? She's acting really weird, but she's still our friend!"

"Your friend, Rainbow. I don't need friends! I'm by myself now, thank you very much."

"You are not the Twilight I know!"

"Exactly! I'm not her. I'm a better Twilight. One that knows how strong se can be if she works by herself, without nopony else to hold her back or tell her what to do. I am Princess Twilight Sparkle and, once I win this tournament, all of Equestria will know it!"

"What are you talking about?"

"Celestia's reign is over. Twilight's reign is about to start!"

"We'll see about that once I knock some sense in your head, egghead!"

"Then come and do it, Lamebow Crash!"

Fluttershy stopped her Buggy when she saw Big Mac and Applejack outside their truck, staring at Rarity's car. Worried, she approached them.

"Something happened?" she asked. "And where's Rarity?"

"She... She fell!" Applejack said. Fluttershy gasped.

"WH-WHAT?! H-How did that happened?"

"There's somethin' wrong with Pinkie Pie! Ah don't blame her for hittin' Rarity, she wasn't lookin' at the road, but then..."

"Then what?"

"She started gigglin' an' makin' fun o' Rarity's death!"

"Wh-Why would she do such thing?"

"Ah have no idea, but Ah'm winnin' this thing an' bringin' Rarity back! It's a promise! Are ya ok with that, Big Mac?"

The stallion nodded. "Ee-"

He gasped when a chain suddenly wrapped around his neck. Following the chain, they saw a grey pegasus wearing a helmet and a jacket. She was sitting on a motorcycle and with the other end of the chain wrapped around her right hoof.

"Wh-Who are--"

The pegasus didn't said anything. She accelerated the motorcycle, not letting go of the chain or Big Mac, who got dragged by her.

"BIG MAC!" the mares shouted at the same time. Applejack jumped back into her truck and they followed the pegasus.

"Yer gonna regret takin' mah brother, ya skank!"

"GIVE BIG MACINTOSH BACK!" Fluttershy shouted as loud as she could, surprising Applejack.

Ghost Rider looked back at them and quickly turned around. With supernatural force, she spinned Big Mac as well, then threw him at Bad Apple, shattering the windshield. Applejack braked the truck.

"Are ya ok, Big Mac?"

"N-Nope..." he coughed. "But Ah'll be!"

"You two, look out!" Fluttershy shouted.

Applejack didn't noticed how close they were to the edge of the cloud until Ghost Rider pressed a button on the handle of her motorcycle, making blades appear on both wheels. She started driving in circles around Bad Apple until they were no longer on the cloud arena, but on a smaller cloud that was slowly floating away. Ghost Rider then grabbed a stick of dynamite and a lighter from the inner pockets of her jacket.

"Ah have a bad feelin' 'bout this..." Big Mac said.

"Don't do this..." Fluttershy said. Ghost Rider lit up the dynamite and threw it at the truck. "NO!"

The Apple siblings looked at the dynamite that slowly rolled to under the truck.

"Applejack?"

"Yes, Big Mac?"

"Close yer eyes!"

Applejack nodded and closed her eyes. She felt her brother embrace her.

"Ah love ya, lil' sis."

"Ah love ya too, big bro."

She felt his lips touch her forehead. She then felt herself being lifted. Applejack slowly opened her eyes and saw her brother holding her above his head.

"Big Mac, what are ya doin'?"

"Ya have to live, Applejack!"

"Big Macintosh Apple, ya'll put me down this inst--" he threw her before she could finish speaking. She landed back on the cloud arena. "BIG MAC!"

He smiled and waved at her. He turned at Fluttershy and winked at her. And then...

BOOM!

"I don't know what Discord did to you..." Rainbow Dash said, slamming her car against Disharmony Report. "...but I'll bring you back to our side, no matter what!"

"I told you, I'm not on Discord's side." Twilight said, slamming her car against Rainboom. "I'm on my own side! I'm only here because it's fun."

"Not buying it!"

A motorcycle appeared between Rainboom and Disharmony Report. She slowly turned her face to Rainbow Dash.

"Friend of yours?" she asked.

"Ghost Rider, what are you doing here?" Twilight asked. "Go after the other racers, the Elements of Harmony are all mine!"

Ghost Rider looked at Twilight and shook her head.

"I said GET OUT!" Twilight pressed her car against the motorcycle, "sandwiching" it between hers and Rainbow's. "Now be a good filly before I send you back to where you belong!"

"You are not going to hurt Rainbow Dash." she said with a very sinister voice, that sounded like several males and females were speaking at the same time.

"Aren't you a bold one? Discord brought you back from the afterlife..." she levitated pegasus and moved away from the motorcycle, making it fall, leaving the biker with no vehicle below her. "..and I can send you back!" she reduced her levitation spell to the biker's helmet only, making her slip out of it and fall on the soft cloud below her.

"Was that..." Rainbow Dash only saw her face for a split second, but she was almost sure it was who she thought it was. "...Scootaloo?"

"It doesn't matter!" she said before dropping the helmet as well. "You're my opponent here, and no Blank Flank dead filly is going to stop me."

"What a low blow, Twilight Sparkle!" Discord's voice said. "Sending a teammate flying like that? Low blow. I loved it!"

"She was not my teammate!"

"Eh, whatever! Well, here's the news: apparently Fluttershy fainted after that farm truck exploded and Scootaloo did you the favor of wiping out most of the competition, so you two are the only racers left. Make me proud!"

"Farm truck, huh?" she sighed. "I'm so sorry, Applejack..."

"You're going down, Rainbow Dash!"

"I'm gonna mess you up, Twilight Sparkle!"

"I have an idea: how about we settle this in a way you like?"

"And that would be...?"

"In an awesome way!"

Rainbow Dash smirked. "Now we're talking."

"Then follow me!"

Cloud Coliseum. Rainboom was on once side of the arena and Disharmony Report was on the other. Discord was sitting on a throne on the highest spot of the Coliseum.

"Now that is what I call fun!" he said while munching some popcorn.

"Laugh while you can, Discord!" Rainbow Dash said. "Your time will come, sooner or later."

"Is that supposed to be threatening?"

"Enough chit-chatting!" Twilight said. "Are we gonna do this or not?"

"We can start whenever you want, Twilight."

"Then let's start right now!"

Both cars accelerated and bumped against each other.

"Your car is fast, but lacks strenght and durability!" Twilight pointed out. "You won't last much longer."

"I know. This is why I have some trick up my sleeve."

"What are you talking about?"

Rainbow Dash pressed a button behind the steering wheel, revealing a gatling gun on the left side of her car. Twilight's face lost all color and Rainbow Dash smirked while aiming it at her car.

"I won!"

She started to shoot, making holes all over the right side of her car, doing her best to not hit Twilight, who was hiding under the panel. After a few seconds of loud and fast shooting, Rainbow Dash let go of the trigger of the gatling gun. The right side of Disharmony Report was completely destroyed and the engine wouldn't work again.

"Congratulations, Rainbow Dash, well done!" Discord said, clapping while approaching her.

"Shut up and grant me my wish!"

"Gee, ok. Apparently nopony likes to appreciate their victory! What do you want? Oh, let me guess: your wing, right? I can do that!"

"My wing, huh?" she looked at the stub where her wing used to be. "Yeah, that would be nice!"

"Alright, then! A new wing coming in three, two--"

"BUT!" she said. "That's not my wish."

"Are you sure, Rainbow Dash?" he touched her forehead with his finger and she slowly started to turn grey. "But what about your freedom? Your happiness? Your job? Are you really going to leave all that behind? Now tell me, what do you truly wish?"

"I wish..."

"Yes?"

"...my wing..."

"Yeeeees?"

She slapped his hand away from her face.

"I wish my winged friends back! I know you brainwashed them, Discord. Free Scootaloo and Twilight this instant. That's my wish!"

Discord groaned and sighed. "Your wish is granted!" He snapped his fingers and disappeared.

"I am Discord, and I thank you for playing Twisted Metal."

Rainbow Dash turned around and looked at Twilight's car, which was lavender once again. She approached it and opened the door. Twilight was there, looking at her. Her coat was no longer grey, but her wings were still there.

"Rainbow..." she said. "Wha... What happened?"

Rainbow Dash pulled her friend to a hug. "Welcome back, Twilight!"
