CHAPTER THIRTY: The First Sign

2 Days after the encounter with Nightmare and Lance's return...

“Attention all residents of Canterlot and Ponyville! A massive monster has been detected rising from The Great Whirlpool inside of Everfree Forest, while we do not know which city it decides to attack, Royal Guards have been posted all around the supposed area of contact including a large group at The Great Whirlpool to at least weaken the monster. We advise all ponies to retreat to their homes for shelter!”

I turned off the radio. Looking outside, I could see a birds eye view of Everfree Forest. Sure enough, something massive was attempting to climb out of the swirling water vortex.

“What do you plan to do?” Silvermoon asked me.

“Fight whatever comes through it. That's what. Gather Lance, Omnius, Peter, Frederic, Vinetion, Anarchy, and Discord. We're going to fight that thing... whatever it was.”

I watched as the beast slowly (and I mean REALLY slowly) rose from the whirlpool. Silvermoon conjured up copies of the same note and sent them all. In a few moments, everyone who got the letter appeared.

“I suggest you've all heard the news?” I said, pointing my head towards the overview.

“Yeah, we all heard it.” Anarchy said, floating next to Discord.

“I am sensing an unbelievable amount of chaos magic emitting from The Great Whirlpool. Not even I have enough power to have summoned a beast that large.” Discord said worringly.

“I think we all know who to blame then.”

“Luce.” We all said together.

“Tell us more Discord.” Lance said, we all looked at Discord.

“I've been around since The Beginning, boy, and trust me, I've seen and recorded every combination of chaos magic around. No more, no less. This is something I've never seen before. Clearly from a different world.”

“Anything else?” Omnius asked.

“What I do know, is that it's going to take all of us to take it down, and by the looks of it...” Discord squinted, looking at the rising beast.

“That attempt could take awhile.”

There was a sudden earthquake.

“Earthquake!” Vinetion yelled. We all covered our heads.

“It's not too big! But it's not too small either! That monster must be causing it!” Discord yelled over the defeaning smashing and rumbling.

“Let's go! Silvermoon! Stay out of the house! Don't go under anything in case another earthquake decides to show up!” I yelled.

“Okay! Got it!” Silvermoon responded.

“Anarchy! Take us to the whirlpool!”

“Already on it!”

We were suddenly whisked away. When I opened my eyes we're all in front of The Great Whirlpool. Something about the monster seemed... familiar.

“Hey! What are you doing here? Dorchester?!” Bleak had shown up with the guards.

“We came over here to fight. Maybe we could kill it.” Discord said, walking up to Bleak.

“Well... I don't like the idea... but we can try.”

The earth trembled again. Tree's began to fall, we all looked at the whirlpool, massive tentacles shot out. The end of them looked like Venus Fly Traps. I gasped. I knew what we were facing.

“Biollante!” I screamed.

“Bioll-what?” Peter yelled.

“Biollante! This bitch is crazy! Whatever you do, stay clear of her mouth, you never know when she'll spray you with acid!”

“Gah! The amount of chaos magic, it's giving me a headache!” Discord yelled out, pounding his head.

“Me too!” Anarchy responded.

“It's Luce Danneggiato! He brought Biollante here! If I'm not mistaken, she's bigger than Godzilla!”

“You're kidding!” Frederic gasped.

“I'm not.” I nervously smiled.

“Prepare for an ambush! Biollante is a plant monster, so be careful with your vines Vinetion!”

“I will!”

I saw Frederic become Darksteel Edge, Peter became Violent Inferno, Lance became Breaking Dawn, and I transformed into Xaxas.

“You know what they say, plants are no match for fire!” Breaking Dawn said.

“Just don't let her get too close to you, Biollante has got three forms.”

“THREE?!” Breaking Dawn looked at me in surprise.

“Each form is more powerful than the last I'm guessing.” Violent Inferno looked at me. I nodded.

“This is it's first form? The amount of chaos energy is enough to at least cause an eruption which would wipe out all life within two thousand yards!” Discord said.

“I can feel it to! Just hang in there!” Anarchy said.

Discord looked at Anarchy, still holding his head. “I'll try!”

Biollante had almost fully risen. It's first form was tall, with a massive rose as it's head with pale yellow like jaws in the middle that represented the bud of the flower. It's body was a tangled mess of soaked vines, roots, and a million other types of plants. The jaw opened it's mouth and roared. The ground shook.

“Everyone ready?” I gazed around, everyone was in a battle stance, ready to begin.

“Alright, on the count of three!”

Breaking Dawn stretched his neck, making small popping noises.

“One!”

The base of Darksteel Edge's hooves began to smoke, and had begun to emit flames.

“Two!”

Discord shook his head, letting go of it with his claws. Preparing himself.
