CHAPTER SIXTEEN: Nepsis

“And that is everything you need to know about Chaos magic, my dear Dorchester.” Discord floated above the ground on his back. I sat on the floor like a little filly.

“Okay... now when are you actually going to talk about Chaos Magic, instead of talking about how many times you've used it.”

Discord shook his head slightly and laughed, clutching his stomach.

“I'm the only real master of Chaos here. Between you and me,” Discord flew up to my ear and whispered.

“Anarchy has still got a LOT to learn.” He flew back laughing. I didn't find that comment very funny.

“Okay... are you going to teach me or what?” I said, rolling my hoof impatiently.

“Fine, fine. You aren't much fun.” Discord snickered.

I reflected on a few days ago when I felt snazzy.

“You haven't gotten to know me.” I said smuggly.

“I've heard a lot about you, Anarchy told me all about your little crush on Princess Luna. She's not all you think she is.” Discord smirked as I felt myself blush.

I growled. "I'm gonna get her for that..."

I looked up to see Discord still smiling. He didn't hear me, good. "Well, it's part of the past now."

“That's good to hear. I also heard you had a little tussle with yourself before giving death the finger.”

“I expected you to know that Lace Danneggiato was only part of me, whatever was left was the spirit of destruction.”

“I guess you could say so.” Discord said, running his claws through the back of his head.

“Me and Lace have got a... interesting family history.” Discord chuckled.

I moaned.

“What?” Discord asked.

“Just teach me magic and you can tell me your story when you're done.”

“Hasty aren't we today? I guess that's what you get.” Discord snapped his fingers and a lab coat strung around his body and a big chalk board appeared lined with doodles of Discord and other stuff. Lots of stuff.

“Let me show you what I'm talking about when you mention Chaos Magic.” He snapped his fingers and we ended up in what Ponyville looked like in Season 2 Episode 2.

“Yeah, that's about right.” I said.

“Was expecting you to object, but okay!” Discord took us back to the training room.

“I will now give you some... pointers on how to channel Chaos Magic. Stay alert, or as you say, Nepsis.”

“That's not English.”

“Excuse me?”

“Nepsis is Greek for Stay Alert, keep your wits about you, expect the unexpec- WHOA!” I yelled.

The room suddenly turned upside down and I landed on the ceiling, or what was now the floor.

“You where saying?” Discord floated next to me with his chin in his palms. I gave him a nasty look.

“Discord, but everything back where it belongs.”

“What fun is there when there's chaos to reek!” Discord exclaimed with glee.

“Besides, why don't you do it? I've heard you have a knack for magic.”

“Because I don't know how to.” I said, rubbing my aching head.

“Exactly, use your magic, but in the opposite...” Discord stopped and pointed his finger up, but it went through some sort of portal, and appeared pointing downwards.

“Direction.” Discord finished. I think I got it.

“Think the opposite?”

“Yeah!”

“Okay, let me try.” I began to think of this room turning outside in, even though it already was. Discord took notice.

“Inside out room huh? Haven't tried that one in a long time.” He said. His finger on his chin, obersving the scene.

The room turned inside out, I'm not going to explain how that looked...

“Impressive for a start.” Discord said with a sly smile.

“What else can you teach me?” I asked.

“More then you could ever dream of my fine friend...” Discord took my left shoulder and smiled, I grinned back.
