"Refreshments? Check. Snacks? Check. Games? Check. Sleeping bags along with plenty of pillows and blankets? Check!" Twilight finished checking off things she needed for her big slumber party. She had everything except the ponies. Speaking of them, where the hay were they? Maybe they got stuck in traffic, or are still getting ready or-

  Twilight's thoughts were interrupted by the knocking on the door. There they are. Twilight thought. She opened the door and all 5 ponies were there. Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and herself.

  "Hi everypony!" Twilight said. "Come on in. Make yourself at home!"

  All the ponies sat down in a circle. A very neat one. Too neat.

  "So, what are we going to talk about first?" Rainbow Dash asked.

  "Hmm... how about we talk about romance?" Rarity suggested.

  "Um... maybe. But I'm not really okay with it right now. Maybe later, if that's okay with you." Fluttershy said.

  "Let's talk about it! Pleeeaaase?" Pinkie begged. "I wanna know who you all like!"

  "Really? Do ah really have ta talk about this?"

  "Yes, Applejack. You have to spill the beads!" Rarity giggled.

"Isn't it 'spill the beans', Rarity?" Twilight asked.

  "Yes, but spilling beans is too messy."

  "Quit yer fussin'!" Applejack said, giggling at Rarity's neatness.

  Twilight finally agreed with Pinkie and Rarity's suggestion. "The topic is: BOYS!"

  "A-and mares!' Rainbow said.

  The other 5 started to laugh, but Dash didn't think it was funny. "Hey!"

  "Okay, okay. So, who do you like, Rainbow Dash?" Pinkie said.

  "A mare."

  "Dash, we are all lesbians here. Right?" Fluttershy said.

  "Right." They all said.

  "Okay, okay! I.... I have a crush on Fluttershy! Okay? That's who I like!" Dash said, then crossing her hooves.

  Fluttershy blushed deeply. "Actually... I..."

  "Save it for later, Shy! Now, how about you, Pinkie?" Twilight looked at the pink pony.

  "You'll see! Who I like will be kissed tonight!" Pinkie said, giggling. But she was serious.

  "For real, Pinks? I'm scared." Dash said.  

  "Oh, fine. How about you, Applejack?"

  "Ah aint gonna tell!" AJ said. "It's too embarrasin'!"

  "Ooh, so you have a crush!" Rarity said.

  "Yeah... but ah won't tell who!"

  Dash stood up. "Well we will find out who it is! We will, and we'll be right!"

  "Why not care 'bout who Pinkie likes?"

  "Because she will pick up, drag into the bathroom, and kiss whoever it is tonight." Twilight said.

  "Let's begin wondering who AJ likes!" Fluttershy said, giggling.

  "I bet it's Rainbow Dash. They're both athletic." Rarity said.

  "Well, I think it's Twilight. She may be different, but they also are very alike!" Dash said.

  "It's obviously Fluttershy! I saw Applejack acting flirty with her!" Twilight shouted.

  "Well.... I don't really know who it would be...." Fluttershy said in her soft voice.

  "It's Rainbow!"

  "Fluttershy!"

  "Twilight!"

  "None of you are making sense!"

  "It's not her!"

  "Twilight and her act so nice! Too nice!"

  "Girls...! Please stop fighting. We can just figure this out." Fluttershy said.

  "Well," Twilight said. "Now that I think about it, I think it might be Rarity."

  "No, it's probably Twilight! AJ was staring at your rump once!" Rainbow said, then starting to laugh. She said rump. Funny.

  "It isn't Fluttershy. They don't look like a couple. I mean, AppleShy is strange!" Rarity said.

  "We'll never figure it out by guesses." Fluttershy said.

  "Wait a minute," Rarity said. "I remember stopping by Applejack's house to see if she was ready. I saw her packing up a journal!"

  "A diary? AJ carries a diary?!" Dash said, surprised.

  Twilight stared at Applejack's bag. Then Applejack. Then back at the bag. She then jumped on it and searched through it. Applejack tried to pull Twilight off the bag, but she was WAY too heavy. Applejack then kicked her off, but Twi had the diary in her hooves. She ran into the bathroom, locked the door, and opened it.

  "Twilight, git outta here right now! Ah don't want ya ta know who ah like!" AJ banged on the door.

  But Twilight kept flipping through the pages. Nothing. But there was a clue.

  Twilight tore out the page with the clue and went out of the bathroom. She gave the journal back to Applejack. "Here. But we have the clue."

  The paper said:

December 23

          My crush and I hung out today. I helped her get her Hearts Warming Eve decorations up, and it went well. She made me hot cocoa because it was cold. We talked alot and stuff. I love her.... she's so beautiful.

  "Alright. So the question is, who was helped on December 23?" Twilight asked.

  "I wasn't." Fluttershy said. "Rainbow helps me that day."

  "I was helping Fluttershy." Dash shrugged.

  "I remember Applejack helping me." Rarity said. "But she left to help somepony else. She never said who."

  "I remember that I was helped too." Pinkie said. "It was probably after she helped Rarity!"

  "So," Twilight said. "It's either Rarity, or Pinkie."

  "Well, I'm an earth pony like Applejack. Maybe she likes me." Pinkie said.

  "Just because you're an earth pony and she's an earth pony doesn't mean anything!" Rarity shouted. "It's probably me!"

  "You have no proof."

  "Like you do?"

  "Girls, we'll need more information in order to know who it is." Twilight said. "So, let's ask AJ for a clue."

  "Fine, Ah'll give ya ONE CLUE. That's it."

  "Okay. Answer this question. Is it either Rarity or Pinkie?" Twilight said.

  "Yea. It is one of 'em." Applejack answered.

  "So, it is one of you. But which one is it?" Twilight scanned the paper from AJ's diary again.

  "Any info?" Pinkie asked.

  "It says, 'she made me hot cocoa'. So, who made her hot cocoa?"

  "Well... I didn't." Pinkie said.

  "So...." Rarity said. "It must be me!"

  "Is this true, AJ? You like Rarity?" Rainbow said.

  "Okay, fine. Ah have a crush on Rarity."

  "MYSTERY SOLVED!" They all said.

  "But wait," Fluttershy said. "Pinkie said she's going to kiss the pony she loves tonight! Who do you think it'll be?"

  "You'll see!" Pinkie said.
