Twilights Alternate Story

Twilight was nervous as she walked down in hallway with her parents. She was shaking her hooves and chattering her teeth. When she got to the room where her some ponys would be observing Twilight, she hid behind her parents. Her parents then proceeded to bring Twilight to the middle of the room, and then went off to the side. A pony came through the door pushing a small wooden cart with some hay and a egg on top of the hay. Confused, Twilight looked towards her parents, but they simply smiled back and gave no thought to the egg. "We haven't got all day!" One of the observing ponies strictly told Twilight. She then figured out that she needed to hatch the egg, which she had no idea how to do.

Twilight tried to cast a spell on the egg. Her horn emitted a dim light and a few sparks came out with it, but to no avail in hatching the egg. She then started to get nervous, thinking she would not pass. She then started to look at different angles while trying to hatch the egg, but with no success. One of the pony's yawned.  Desperately, trying her hardest she swung her arms around, as if casting a spell like a human magician would, while trying to hatch the egg, but still didn't do anything to the egg. Twilight then gave one final try and put all of her might and effort into it, but didnt come close to hatching it. She then gave up and sad down looking towards the floor with a frown on her face. "I'm sorry I wasted your time." Twilight apologized the observers. "Next!" shouted one of the observing ponys. With a tear rolling down her cheek, Twilight then returned to her parents and they went home, and in a result never hatching and becoming friends with Spike.

Twilight then gave up on learning magic, as she had felt shattered having messed up the chance of getting into magic school.

She then began to make some friends at school and met a certain boasting unicorn.

Trixie.

She, while boasting to twilight, offered her to be her assistant with her show. "The 'Great and Powerful Trixie, would like to offer you a chance to work beside a masterful unicorn with the ways of magic!" you know who shouted. Twilight, having lots of spare time on her hands, agreed. "Is there anything I get out of it?" Twilight asked. "Trixie shall pay you, but don't get your hopes up on it being so much." Trixie said. Twilight bid goodbye to her parents and friends and set off with Trixie towards a town not far off...
