Pinkie's Shipping People Again

“So, know anything about the transfer student?”

Twilight Sparkle shook her head, “No, I haven’t heard anything. What’s she like?”

Rainbow Dash shrugged, looking toward Fluttershy as the girl in question bent over to pick up a pencil, “No idea…”

“Hmm, I guess we’ll see if she’s in any of our classes,” Twilight remarked.

“One of the girls was saying she saw her coming up the front step this morning,” Pinkie chirped up, “Said she was creepy. Like, really tall and quiet.”

“Really now?” Twilight said, “Well, maybe she’s just soft-spoken, or an introvert.”

“Girls!” their teacher snapped, “What did I tell you about gossiping in class?”

The three shut up, saying nothing further.

“Now, assuming those of you at the back can keep your lips together long enough, I’d like to introduce you all to our new-”

The teacher was cut off by what sounded like a raised voice outside.

“What do you mean I can’t go into class until the teacher calls my name? What idiot thought that was a good idea?! Oh, new girl! Let’s parade the fucker around all day. As if I’ve got enough problems trying to find my way around this place-No I will not calm down! You won’t let me go to class, which is why I’m here!”

The entire class was silent, eyes glued to the door. Already some soft whispers sounded from a couple of students.

“Holy shit, the new girl has balls!” Rainbow remarked in a low whisper, whistling.

“Can’t say I blame her,” Twilight murmured, “I remember when I first transferred here…”

“Yeah, I got the same thing too,” Pinkie remarked, “Why do they do that? Why do they put us on the spot like that on our first day?”

Pinkie’s question wasn’t answered as the door burst open and a furious girl stormed in. Walking past everyone, she threw herself into the empty desk in the far back corner of the room.

All eyes were on her then, staring at the new girl with curiosity.

“Wow. She’s… actually kinda pretty,” Rainbow whispered.

Twilight glanced toward her, also curious. But the minute the girl looked toward her, she snapped her gaze away, “...Yeah, she is.”

“E-everyone,” the teacher said, clearly caught off guard by the girl’s outburst, “This is our new student, Ascentia Kortai. Ascentia, why don’t you come up and tell us a bit about yourself?”

Ascentia slowly raised her gaze up to the teacher, “Last time I checked, this was History, not Facebook,” she said bitterly.

A few students cowered in fear, followed by nervous whispers. Twilight, however, gave a smile. As curious as she was, she had to admit that that the new girl, now known as Ascentia, had a point.

“O-okay…” the teacher shrugged and turned back to the board, “All of you open your books to page 394…”

As the day went on, it was clear that despite the “New Girl” freshness Ascentia had, it wasn’t long before everyone pretty much steered clear of her. Any approach made was met with fiery scorn, any sort of greeting was met with a bark. It wasn’t long before she was now an imposing, intimidating figure no one dared approach unless they had a death wish.

During lunchtime, she sat by herself in the far corner of a table. An empty table. No one dared approach it, even at the very end.

Twilight noticed this as she ate lunch with her friends. She just couldn’t get the new girl out of her mind, try as she may.

“Look at her… all by herself. Maybe she doesn’t want friends, but… doesn’t mean someone should be completely lonely,” she murmured.

“I think she brings it on herself,” Rainbow shrugged, “People tend to steer clear of you when you snap at them all the time.”

“Rainbow has a point, darling,” Rarity nodded, “That sort of attitude does not win friends or influence people.”

Fluttershy gave a nod of agreement, clearly looking a bit shaken up, “...She… dropped a pencil… I… I picked it up and gave it to her… she told me to get lost and stop pretending to be nice…”

“But you are nice!” Pinkie pouted, “That’s soooo mean!”

“Well, guess her experience might be different,” Applejack remarked, “Ah guess there’s nothin’ we can do about it.”

“I mean, if you wanna go over there, be my guest Twilight,” Rainbow shrugged, “Your funeral.”

Twilight sighed, shaking her head, “It’d be nice… But what would it do. As much as I’d love to sit down and talk with her about things, I doubt she’d receive that well.”

A commotion started up three tables down as two guys started roughing up a younger kid, smacking him around the head while their friends laughed. Rainbow made to get up, when a whistling sound came from the corner of the room and an apple smacked one of the guys in the back of the head, making him whip around looking for who threw it.

Everyone’s eyes followed where it had come from to Ascentia, who was on her feet and glaring at the both of them. They shrank back a little, as standing up straight Ascentia was over six feet tall. They dropped the kid and he ran from the cafeteria as Ascentia sat back down and resumed eating her lunch.

“...Did she just help that kid?” Applejack wondered.

“Looks like it,” Twilight said with astonishment.

“Great, now I’m confused,” Pinkie frowned, “Does that girl hate people or like people?”

Her friends all shrugged, unsure what to think.

“Um… it was still nice of her to help that poor kid, at least…” Fluttershy offered.

“You goin’ over now?” Rainbow asked, nudging Twilight, “Or is it still a bad idea?”

Twilight snorted, “I said I wasn’t going to, you know.”

“That’s a shame, because she’s lookin’ at you,” Rainbow remarked.

“...What? How do you know that?” Twilight asked with a confused frown.

“Turn your head around, see if she looks away,” Rainbow smirked.

Scoffing, Twilight did so. Sure enough, Ascentia’s gaze had been pointed straight at her, at least before she looked away.

“...What the heck? Why is she staring at me?” Twilight wondered. “I’m not exactly that pretty or interesting.”

“I don’t think any of us will know unless we ask, dear,” Rarity replied, “We’re not exactly mind readers.”

“...Whatever, it must be my hair or something,” Twilight brushed it off.

The bell rang loudly overhead and the girls watched as Ascentia seemed to leap to her feet and stride as quickly as she could out of the cafeteria, shoving past several people on her way.

“Oh boy…” Twilight mumbled, getting up with her friends.

Much to her own surprise, Twilight found that her locker was actually a few feet away from where Ascentia’s was. The same row, no less. As she tried to busy herself to gather her belongings, Twilight found herself unable to look away from the ever-fascinating girl. Whatever it was about her, she was ever more curious. Ascentia caught her stares and gave her a flat look.

“Yes?” she asked.

“...Hi,” was all Twilight could say. ‘Hi? That’s it? That’s the best you can do? Oh, nice going! Why not ask her about the weather, next?’

“Hi,” Ascentia said flatly, though her expression seemed irritated as she continued digging through her locker.

Twilight fidgeted a bit, figuring it was a good time not to tempt fate. Still, it occurred to her that she was at least responding. “...How are you?” She asked, lamely.

“Fine,” she said as she shoved something into her bag.

“Um, great! That’s good to hear!” Twilight smiled sheepishly, “So, uh… Okay, time out. Just give me a second.”

She grinned, widely, forcibly, and turned the corner to go drink from the fountain. Ascentia looked at the place where she disappeared and shut her locker, leaning against it and checking her watch.

“I have to be to class in five minutes,” she called out.

Twilight came tittering back, “Okay! See? I’m back!”

“Was there something you wanted?” Ascentia asked with a huff.

“Uh...” Twilight shifted her weight from one foot to the other, “...I really… like your hair?”

“Thanks?” Ascentia said, bewildered and cocking an eyebrow, “Are you going somewhere with this?”

“I’m glad you asked! I… well, I think you’re pretty! I think… you’re cool! It’s… uh… nice to meet you! I’m Sparkle Twilight! Erm! I mean, Twinkle Light! I mean… urgh! I’m Twilight Sparkle and it’s nice to acquaintance your pleased make!”

Ascentia had to resist the urge to laugh, but otherwise gave her a more bewildered look, “Did you smoke something just a few minutes ago? You’re tripping over your words worse than that kid in the cafeteria.”

‘What’s the matter with me?! I have a much more extensive vocabulary than this!’ Twilight thought, keeping her sheepish grin, “Nope! I don’t smoke! Not at all! I’m just uh… you know! Making friendly! You know how it is! You come to a new school, you don’t know anyone, you feel like you’ll never fit in, like you’re an outcast, and then you get the three A’s! You know, Awkwardness, Attention, and Abandonment!”

“Yeah… I’m not really worried about any of that,” Ascentia shrugged, “Things will fall into place over time.”

“Well, gosh! You’re uh… taking it better than I did! When I first got here nearly two years ago, I was scared stiff! I was home-schooled by Pri-er, you know, a private tutor! So I wasn’t used to it, or even the idea of making friends!” Twilight shifted her weight again, looking down.

“I transferred willingly,” Ascentia remarked, “My last school wasn’t exactly… tolerant of me.”

Twilight blinked, realizing she was entering ‘No no’ territory, “I see! Well, uh, here’s hoping you’ll do fine here! Somehow!”

“You seem to be doing fine here, and everyone’s already terrified of me, so I think it’ll work out a lot better,” Ascentia shrugged.

“Well, yeah! It’s pretty nice here! Kind of silly and crazy, but it’s nice!” Twilight bobbed a little on her feet, “So, uh… what’s your next class? You know, just curious! Maybe I can help you if you’re having trouble finding it!”

“Physics,” Ascentia said flatly, “I know where it is.”

“Really?! Wow, I have Physics next, too! Oh, I love that class! It’s so much fun!” Twilight said excitedly.

“I don’t,” Ascentia snipped, “I’m taking it because it’s a prerequisite. I’m just supposed to be in class, I don’t plan on going.”

Crestfallen, Twilight faltered, “Okay then… Well, uh, I guess I’ll see you around… Have a… good rest of the day…” She turned away, heading down the hall.

“Hold up a second,” Ascentia called, following her.

Twilight frowned in confusion, “...Why?”

Ascentia caught up with her and looked down at her for a minute, as if pondering something. Then, without warning, she tilted her chin up and brought her lips to her’s. Twilight froze for a minute, but Ascentia was already pulling away.

“Nah, never mind,” she shrugged, “Cya.”

She turned around and strode off, leaving Twilight looking wide-eyed at her as she left.

“The fuck just happened?” she said quietly.

“Ooooh! She likes you!” Pinkie hopped into view, grinning at her, “That was soooo cute!”

“Cute? How?” Twilight asked.

“Hello? Big, tough, strong, mysterious new girl and an adorkable nerd! Especially like this!” Pinkie giggled, “It’s awesome!”

“I don’t think she likes me, Pinkie,” Twilight grimaced, “She said ‘never mind.’”

“But then why did she even kiss you?” Pinkie poked her nose.

“I… I don’t know!” Twilight said in a huff.

Pinkie grinned widely, “She totally likes you! She probably has no idea how to admit it! Or even realize it! Oh, she never felt this way to anyone before… It’s all foreign to her little mind! You go about life not looking for love, thinking it could never happen! You’re content, it’s all good, right? But then the next thing you know, you’re head over heels for someone in a flash! Love just walks in, closes the door, and sits there! It doesn’t move or leave! She’ll be questioning it, but can’t escape it!”

“Pinkie, I think you need to cut back on the asian cartoons,” Twilight said flatly as the two of them headed to class, “She didn’t shy away from me and smile. She walked up, kissed me, said ‘never mind’ and walked away.”

Pinkie frowned a bit, “Something isn’t adding up, Twi-Twi.”

“Whatever. Just don’t tell the others about this.”

“I can’t believe you told the others about that,” Twilight glared daggers into Pinkie as the girls were all looking astonished on the bus home.

“You didn’t make me promise, Twi-Twi!” Pinkie said, nudging her.

“Shit, Twi!” Rainbow gaped, “You and the new girl were making out in the hall?!”

“Uh, no. It was a kiss that lasted… a few seconds,” Twilight corrected.

“Wow, though… that’s something…” Fluttershy remarked.

“So you go from not wanting to go near her to swapping spit in a matter of hours?” Rainbow laughed, “How the hell did you pull that off?”

“I didn’t do anything! I just… talked to her. And messed up because she clearly doesn’t like me. I didn’t exactly look like a scholar when I did. I felt like an idiot…” Twilight grumbled, “I am never doing that again!”

“Well if she doesn’t like you, then why’d she kiss you in the first place?” Rainbow asked, smirking as if Twilight was out of her mind.

“Apparently she felt it was cool to do, but then kissed me and changed her mind! Lovely! Gee, thanks for jerking me around, jerk! I was TRYING to be nice!” Twilight griped, “But no! Screw off, then! I don’t care!”

“If ya don’t care… why are ya upset?” Applejack asked.

“Yeah, Twilight,” Fluttershy said quietly, “Why’d this bothering you so much?”

“Did you like her?” Pinkie asked with a smile.

Twilight pouted and crossed her arms, “No! I don’t even know her!”

“But did you want to?” Rainbow asked, “You were giving her looks all throughout History class. And you were the one who wanted to approach her.”

“I did at first, but now she blew it! ‘Oooh, look at me, I’m Ascentia! Rar! Get away from me, you all suck! Oh look, it’s Twilight Sparkle! I’m gonna mess with her head! Hahahaha! Victory is mine!’ Blegh…” Twilight gagged.

“Well that’s a shame, Twi-Twi,” Pinkie grinned, looking toward the back of the bus, “Because she’s looking at you again.”

“Nope! Not falling for it!” Twilight crossed her arms and pouted, “She can stare at me until she burns lasers into my head for all I care!”

“What if she gets up and comes this way?” Pinkie suggested.

Twilight yawned, “Uh-huh. Don’t care.”

“Well if you don’t want it back, then I guess I’ll just keep it,” came an accented voice from behind her, “But I was never one to hang onto things others drop.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?!” Twilight faced around the back, “You kiss me in the hall and then you’re acting like it never happened! Gee, thanks! I had no idea kisses were taken so lightly where you come from!”

Ascentia cocked an eyebrow and held up a tiny purple star pendant, “Is this yours? It looks like the star on your skirt.”

“Wha-? That…!” Twilight muttered and grabbed it, “Thanks,” she turned away again.

Ascentia shrugged and turned to go back to her seat when Rainbow grabbed her sleeve.

“Hang on, this is really eating her up,” Rainbow said briskly, “Why’d you kiss her?”

Ascentia shrugged, “I’m gay, she was being cute, sue me.”

She shook her sleeve out of Rainbow’s grip and returned to her seat.

“Then why’d you tell her to never mind?” Rainbow called across the bus.

“She has really bad breath!” Ascentia called back.

Twilight breathed heavily, getting increasingly irritated, “THAT is your excuse?! Then why didn’t you say so?! Huh?! Why did you play with my head?! You thought it was funny?! Huh?! Well, it wasn’t! I wasn’t laughing! Oh, but I bet you were! I bet you don’t even care how I feel! Well, fine! I don’t care! Just get away from me! If you don’t care, just leave me alone! Because I’m getting sick of your attitude! I try to be nice, actually nice, and you’re just...urgh! Just go away! I hate you!”

Ascentia turned back around, looking bewildered again, and returning to the front of the bus, “Twilight, aren’t you straight?”

“No,” Fluttershy replied before Twilight could respond, “She’s the only one at the school who’s openly gay.”

“Oh…” Ascentia said, realizing what she’d done, “I’m sorry, Twilight. I wasn’t trying to mess with you. I’m tough, I’m not cruel.”

“GAH! Just… just stop it! Stop it!” Twilight blushed, “Did I, at ANY point, indicate I was bothered by a girl kissing me?! No! I didn’t! Even so, you don’t just do that and act all like it doesn’t matter! If you’re going to do that, MEAN IT! Be straight with me or just get out of my face! If you wanted to talk to me, you should have! But no! You blew it! I wanted to talk to you! I wanted to get to know you, but you blew it! BLEW IT! Now get out of my face! I don’t want to hear another word out of your stupid mouth! Just-stop looking at me! You’re making me crazy! GAH! You… You… urgh! You smell!”

Grabbing her bag, Twilight rushed past her and got off the bus. Despite it being four stops from where she usually got off. Ascentia have a small nod of the head to Twilight’s friends.

“I won’t bother you girls again,” she said calmly, returning to her seat.

“Wow,” Rainbow said quietly, “One kiss and Twilight’s driven right up the wall and screaming at people. What do you think would have happened if they started dating? She’d kick the shit out of her?”

“Oh please, Rainbow,” Applejack scoffed, “Twilight’s half her size.”

“That was simply terrifying! I haven’t seen her this angry!” Rarity murmured, wide-eyed, “Surely there are the types who bring out the worst in you, isn’t there…”

A first for me, the day I fall in love!” Pinkie sang out dramatically.

“Great, Pinkie’s shipping people again,” Rainbow sighed.

“Oh, dear…” Fluttershy shook her head, “That could have gone better.”

“So…” Rainbow said slowly, “You guys wanna follow her and bug her about it?”

“Me! Me! Me me me me ME!” Pinkie waved her hand excitedly.

“Okay, Pinkie’s down, anyone else?” Rainbow asked.

Rarity spoke up, “Exactly what are we planning to accomplish, dear?”

“Bug Twilight into admitting she’s got it bad for the new girl,” Rainbow smirked, “What else do we do?”

Pinkie giggled knowingly, “Hello, Pot… calling the Kettle, are we?”

“What does that mean?” Rainbow asked.

Rarity and Applejack exchanged confused glances, Fluttershy blinked and tilted her head cutely, while Pinkie just smiled knowingly.

“Oh, nothing, Dashie. So then, let’s form our posse and go find Twi-twi!”

Rainbow pulled the cord and brought the bus to a halt and the two girls jumped off and ran back in the direction they’d come after Twilight.

“Twilight!” Rainbow called as she spotted her, “Wait up!”

Twilight turned around, “Girls, what are you doing? You all live in different parts of the neighbourhood!”

“Rainbow Dash had the idea to follow you and bug you until you go back and talk to really-weird-sounding-name and I said YAY! And then Rarity said BOO! So we jumped off the bus and came and found you and then you asked what we were doing and I said that Rainbow Dash had the idea to follow you and bug you until-”

Rainbow Dash put a hand over Pinkie Pie’s mouth, “The first bit of what she said.”

“...Why? Why?!” Twilight asked, bewildered, “I want nothing to do with her!”

“Oh c’mon, Twi,” Rainbow laughed, “This girl’s gotten you all worked up so easily. If you really want nothing to do with her, why is this bugging you so much?”

“Because you just don’t do that!” Twilight griped, turning around and walking away, “I don’t care! I just want her to leave me alone! I don’t like people messing with my head!”

“Well that’s a little harsh,” Rainbow said, following her, “She’s probably… what, the first person to ever kiss you and… oh now I see what’s bugging you so much.”

“What?” Pinkie asked blankly.

“Twilight, that was your first kiss, wasn’t it?” Rainbow asked.

Sighing, Twilight nodded, “Yes. Yes it was. But regardless of that, you don’t just kiss someone out of nowhere! And play off like she did! That was just…! Who does that?! No consideration, no asking, no follow up… nothing! Girls, just take off your rose-coloured glasses and drop it! I don’t care! She can kiss my butt for all I care!”

“Oh take the stick out of your ass, Twilight,” Rainbow laughed, “First of all, who the hell asks to kiss someone? That just sounds cheesy as all hell. Second, I know you’re someone who just likes to read through the entire library, but people make out with each other randomly all the time. It’s more common than breathing.”

“Will you just stop?! I want nothing to do with her! And you girls are not making me regret my decision!”

“Well, dear, she was sorry… I’m sure she just had no possible clue how to even approach you,” Rarity reasoned, “She did seem a little sad when you left. Come now, give her a chance.”

“Yeah Twi-Twi,” Pinkie chirped, “It’d be soooooo cute!”

“I’m with Pinkie, it sounds cute,” Rainbow said to the stares from the other two, “Oh what?”

“I… um, agree with Rainbow, too…” Fluttershy said softly.

“Yeah Twi. I don’t think it’s really all that nice to just freak out like that,” Applejack added, “At least go talk to her about it without jumpin’ to conclusions.”

“No…” Twilight shook her head, “I can’t! I just… I feel things when she’s near and she just makes me… urgh! Angry! Crazy! I don’t like it!”

“Oh my god, just go fucking do it!” All five of them shouted.

“Cut the angsty crap and just go talk to her,” Rainbow said in exasperation.

“And if I don’t?”

Rainbow smirked, “We’ll unleash Pinkie Pie on you for hours.”

“Uh-huh,” Twilight rolled her eyes, “You forget that I’ve gone on vacation with her a couple times. I can handle her.”

“We’ll give her coffee,” Rainbow threatened.

The girls all gasped.

“... I swear to Celestia, I am going to get you for this, Rainbow Dash… all of you…” Twilight snarled. “FINE! I’ll go hear her out! Then that’s it!”

“YAY!” Pinkie squealed as the girls all smiled in satisfaction.

Thing About Collateral Damage

Ascentia was throwing her books into her locker when she heard a shrill voice call her name. Turning around, she saw Twilight striding down the hall toward her.

“Yes?” she asked.

“Talk,” Twilight said flatly, “And no funny business, either. Tell me everything and I am asking for the whole truth here. I’ll let you have your say. So go on, I’m waiting.”

“My say about what?” Ascentia asked, genuinely confused.

“About what?!” Twilight parroted, “Last night’s rap concert, what do you think I mean?”

“Oh, the kiss?” Ascentia asked, “I don’t know… impulse? You were being all cute and friendly, I thought ‘give it a shot’.”

“Cute?! I… I was acting like a moron!” Twilight blushed with embarrassment, “I felt like I had no idea of the advanced quantum physics I memorized!”

“You were all nervous trying to talk to me. That was adorable,” Ascentia smiled.

“...Whatever, I guess…” Twilight mumbled, barely realizing how nice it was to see her smiling.

“Did you like it?” Ascentia asked.

“...Why?” Twilight frowned, “Why does that matter? Even if I did answer that, I can’t exactly say if I did. It happened way too fast!”

Ascentia closed her locker, pushed Twilight against the row and kissed her again, this time holding it as she curled her fingers around the back of her neck. After what seemed like a minute, she pulled away.

“How about now?” she asked.

“Uh?! ...What?! You… what? What just happened?!” Twilight squeaked, wide-eyed and blushing heavily.

Instead of responding, Ascentia simply repeated the action, pushing her back and kissing her. Pulling away a second time, she simply said “That.”

“Why are you doing this….” Twilight whimpered, quivering in pleasure, “Stop it I feel weird…”

“Then answer my question,” Ascentia said softly, “Did you like it?”

Twilight gulped and blushed heavily, “...Yes. A little too much…”

“What does ‘A little too much’ mean?” Ascentia asked.

“Stop asking stupid questions and kiss me again…” Twilight moaned.

Ascentia chuckled and brought her lips to hers again, holding the back of her neck as she held her against the lockers.Managing to regain herself, Twilight kissed back and fisted her fingers into her hair, shaking. Lifting Twilight off her feet and against the lockers, Ascentia gently bit down onto her lip, running one arm around her waist while the other stroked her cheek.

“Mmmmnnnghh…” Twilight uttered, squirming gently and moaning against her lips.

Ascentia pulled her lips away from Twilight and smiled, “Enjoying yourself?”

“Unfortunately… I don’t know why…” Twilight was shaking a bit, “It feels so good… I feel weird… all over…”

“So what now?” Ascentia asked.

“...I don’t know,” Twilight looked away, “I don’t even know what I’m doing.”

“Do you want to go out? Do you want to leave and not speak to me again?” Ascentia asked, lowering her to the floor, “Or do you wanna just find a private place and screw?”

“Screw?! W-Wait! No no no! Get off!” Twilight cried, pushing her away, “No! I’m not ready for that! No! No! Look… I’ll bite. We can talk, hang out, g-get to know each other… and stuff.”

“Alright,” Ascentia nodded, “When?”

“At lunch, we can sit together. After school, we can… read in the library, I guess,” Twilight got back up, brushing her skirt.

“Alright, I’ll see you in…” she checked her watch, “...Oh, lunch is in… three seconds.”

A bell rang overhead as people started filing out of classrooms and into the halls.

“Right on schedule…” Twilight said dryly, picking up her bag.

Ascentia chuckled, hoisting her own bag over her shoulder, “Are you alright?”

Nodding, Twilight looked away with a blush, “Yeah, I’m fine. I just… you know, never actually felt like this… So I really don’t know what to do.”

“Just do what comes naturally,” Ascentia smiled, biting her lip a bit, “Which in your case I find to be very cute.”

“...You really think I’m cute?” Twilight looked up at her curiously.

“No, Twilight. I kissed you because I thought you were completely unattractive,” Ascentia said sarcastically, “Yes, I really think you’re cute.”

“No, it’s just… no one’s ever said that before,” she admitted.

Ascentia shrugged, “Oh well, their loss.”

“So… I guess… this means… we’re going out?”

“Mmmhmm,” Ascentia nodded as they headed for the cafeteria.

“...Wow,” Twilight smiled, “First time having a girlfriend… this is… kind of exciting!”

“Really? You’ve never had one before?” Ascentia asked.

Twilight shook her head, looking a little sheepish, “No. I only just learned to make friends in the past year and a half I’ve been here. I never thought about relationships.”

“Fresh meat? Exciting,” Ascentia smirked, patting her shoulder.

“Why? Have you been in a relationship before?” Twilight asked.

“Not a relationship, persay,” Ascentia replied, “Mostly just one night stands over the last two years or so.”

“Oh, I see,” Twilight nodded. She paused a few moments, “You know, I was tempted to try things like that. But I… kind of realized it wouldn’t work for me.”

“How so?” Ascentia asked.

Twilight bit her lip, considering how to explain it. “I just felt like… well, I’d feel a lot better sharing it with someone I was actually emotionally connected to. I-well, I don’t think of my friends that way, but if someone were to ask me to choose between a gorgeous lesbian model, for example, or one of my friends, I’d pick one of my friends every time.”

“I can understand that,” Ascentia said softly, “If you were wondering about a comparison, a one night stand and being with someone you care about is much like the difference between eating a Whopper or eating at a high class restaurant. They both satisfy your hunger, but you’ll always think more highly of the high class restaurant.”

“But what if you like Whoppers better? ...Okay, point taken,” Twilight smiled, “That does make sense, though.”

Ascentia smirked, “Of course, Whoppers are easier to obtain than reservations to a high class restaurant. If I was reliant entirely on Gordon Ramsay’s cooking to survive, I’d probably die.”

“I see,” Twilight giggled, “Have you been to a high class restaurant before? I did a couple of times, considering my private tutor. It was nice, but I kind of felt out of place and like I really didn’t belong. Plus the food was in tiny little portions like this!” She held her fingers a couple inches apart, “I’m not a big eater, but I was still hungry after the main course!”

Ascentia did a little math in her head, trying to determine if they were being literal or still talking about sex. Deciding she was being literal, she shook her head, “No, I’ve never been. Can’t afford it.”

“You’re not missing much,” Twilight patted her back, “You’re better off with those nice places that are a little more expensive, but are still laid back and casual. Anyway! Speaking of dinner, we’ll have to do that sometime! I mean… that’s what you do on dates, right?”

“You can pretty much do anything,” Ascentia shrugged, “You can sit in a hole you dug in the side of the road and it’d still be a date.”

“Sounds like something children would do!” Twilight giggled at the thought, “Then again, my brother and I used to think babies were conceived by pushing down on the woman’s stomach for the amount of babies you wanted.”

Ascentia laughed loudly and slapped Twilight on the back, “That just sounds ridiculous.”

“I know! When I finally read a book on biology, because I felt like it, I ran to my Mom and told her she lied to me about the stork!” Twilight laughed heartily at the memory.

“They always lie to us,” Ascentia snickered, “My mother told me kids were born by simply appearing out of thin air.”

Twilight balked and laughed, “Oh goodness! What a concept! ‘Honey, I want a baby!’ Poof! There it is!”

“Well, it doesn’t matter if I know where they come from or not,” Ascentia laughed, “It’s not really possible for me anyway.”

“How do you mean? Because you’re gay or is there a medical reason?” Twilight asked, “That is, if you want to tell me.”

“Well, for one it’s because I’m gay,” Ascentia remarked, “But for two I’m just infertile anyway.”

Twilight’s face fell, “Wow. I’m sorry… I mean, not to say that a woman isn’t a real woman if she can’t reproduce, of course. I mean it in the sense that it’s a shame not to have the option.”

Ascentia shrugged, “Not a big deal. Not a fan of kids anyway.”

“I do, I just can’t see myself mothering one,” Twilight murmured, “I’ve sometimes had to do babysitting for our neighbours. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relieved that a parent has to deal with them the rest of the time.”

Ascentia laughed heartily, nudging Twilight’s shoulder, “I know how you feel. I used to babysit as well. It’s nightmarish.”

“It is! I mean, I enjoy sitting down with kids, talking to them and listening to them. It’s a lot of fun, I’ve done that for years,” Twilight smiled, “But at the same time, they have WAY too much energy for me. I’m sitting there on the couch, trying to say we should just watch a movie together. But they’re tugging my arms and telling me to go outside and play tag with them!”

“I just plain don’t like them,” Ascentia shrugged, “As in keep them away from me at all times.”

“Guess babysitting dates are out of the question,” Twilight nudged her lightly, snickering.

“Not unless you want to see a triple-infanticide,” Ascentia snickered.

“And not unless you want me to never call you again,” Twilight winked.

“Oooh, someone just grew some teeth,” Ascentia smiled, “Me likey.”

Laughing, Twilight took her hand and squeezed it, “You know what? All things considered, I’m glad you kissed me. I think this is going to be the start of an interesting relationship.”

Twilight rocked back and forth on her heels as she stood under the tree at the front of the school. Periodically she’d glance over at the main entrance, waiting, but then would turn back to face anywhere else, or turn her attention to Rainbow Dash, who was waiting with her.

“So, I never thought I’d say this…” Twilight mused, “But I’m going to try asking Ascentia to the dance this Friday.”

“You two have been going out for the last two weeks, I’d have assumed it was a given you’d be going together,” Rainbow said, throwing popcorn into the air and catching it with her tongue.

Twilight chuckled at the trick, “Yeah, I know. I just never did that before, let alone having been to a dance. I know it’s not exactly the 50’s where the guys have to ask the girls. But I guess I really just don’t know how I’m going to ask. Especially since she’s probably not even into that kind of thing.”

“How do you know?” Rainbow asked, “Did she say she wasn’t?”

“Not really… I just know social gatherings aren’t always her thing,” Twilight said, biting her lip.

“Jeez, I could have told you that,” Rainbow shrugged, throwing more popcorn into her mouth, “She’s still biting people’s heads off whenever they go near her. I think you’re the only one she talks to.”

“Kind of. But she likes you guys… she just thinks you’re all crazy,” Twilight chuckled, “She thinks Fluttershy is adorable. Common knowledge, I know, but it was funny watching her gush over how adorable she is.”

“Yeah, but did you see what she did to that kid who wrote on her locker?” Rainbow asked, “I think he’s still unconscious.”

“That’s different, but yeah… a little extreme,” Twilight shuddered, “She has a bit of a short fuse. Or rather, just no patience for that kind of thing.”

“I don’t have patience for what?” Ascentia asked from right behind the both of them.

“Oh there you are,” Twilight turned around, “We were just talking about that whole… thing with the unconscious guy that happened yesterday.”

Ascentia shrugged, “What about him?”

“Dude, he’s still unconscious! That’s… pretty crazy!” Rainbow snickered.

“Riiiight,” Twilight nudged her lightly, “So, where’s Fluttershy? I thought you said she was meeting you out here. I haven’t seen her since she ran to the bathroom at lunch today.”

“She’s still in there,” Ascentia said, leaning against the tree, “Three people are trying to get her out of the stall. I suggested explosives, but somebody has a thing about collateral damage.”

“...Wow… she took Night Wing’s rejection really hard…” Twilight said sadly.

“What kind of a name is Night Wing?” Ascentia asked, “Sounds like a bad superhero knockoff.”

“She’d been trying for days to ask him out,” Rainbow said absently, “It’s like pulling an elastic band really tight and then smacking yourself in the face with it.”

“...Watch out for Night Wing, courtesy of AZ Comics,” Ascentia said in a mimicking tone.

Twilight snorted, “Rainbow, why don’t you go talk to her? You know how to knock sense into her better than any of us can.”

“Oh, she’s just going to be at this again next week,” Rainbow grumbled, “Honestly Twi, it’s starting to get old.”

“...Faster than a speeding puppy, more powerful than a light breeze, it’s NIGHT WING!” Ascentia said, kicking the tree.

“Nightwing is Dick Grayson, originally Robin, so this guy is a real knockoff,” Twilight said with a snicker. Turning back to Rainbow she said, “Old or not, you’re still her oldest friend and you know how to give her the tough love she needs. As much as we care about her, we can’t exactly do what you can. She doesn’t need to be coddled right now. She needs someone who knows her well enough and can knock tough love into her. If nothing else, at least get her out of the bathroom.”

“Great, so not only is he a bad knockoff, he has the shame of being a knockoff of Robin?” Ascentia balked, “Now I really feel bad for the guy.”

“Fine,” Rainbow grumbled, skulking off back into the school.

“They sometimes call him that behind his back,” Twilight giggled, “That or Bat Hero because he was the original Batman for Nightmare Night last year. He was bad because he looked and acted like a cheap knockoff.”

“Why did Fluttershy like this kid again?” Ascentia asked.

“Last year, our school was doing a production of Sleeping Beauty. He auditioned for the role of Philip, got the part, and he was great at it. Good singing voice, good actor. Fluttershy was helping Rarity for the costume design, and when she heard him sing, she was enchanted. After that, she tried talking to him, but never actually got past a few sentences. She had a crush on him ever since, but I kept telling her she was just infatuated with an idea of him. Really, Night Wing is… kind of… eh, you know, really dumb. He takes advantage of others, copies off their work, can’t hold down a girlfriend for more than a week, and tends to fall in with the wrong crowd. Because she saw him as a Prince Charming with the play, it was kind of fixated in her head that he was quite like that. Thing is, he doesn’t even remember her name,” Twilight explained, “She wanted to ask him out, we kind of told her she shouldn’t… but at the same time, we also had to support her, so we did encourage her, anyway. I’m not surprised he rejected her, I guess.”

“Wait a minute… that’s the kid I knocked out yesterday,” Ascentia said in realization, “The one who wrote Teacher’s Pet’s Pet on my locker.”

“Wow, really? What a jerk!” Twilight’s eyes widened.

“Yeah. I caught him putting the marker away,” Ascentia grinned, “It was fun watching him beg for mercy.”

Twilight shuddered, but said nothing further, “Well… Anyway, I guess I’m kind of glad. Fluttershy dodged a bullet there… even if it meant making her this upset.”

Ascentia shrugged, “Sounds like it. Anyway, you said you wanted to talk to me about something?”

“Me? Oh, uh… yeah, I guess!” Twilight shrugged, hoisting her backpack over her shoulder.

“Well what is it?” Ascentia asked, standing up straight.

Twilight bit her lip in hesitation, “Eh, I don’t know… Are you busy this Friday?”

“Nope,” Ascentia replied flatly.

“Well, okay! Good to hear… I’m not busy either,” Twilight headed toward the sidewalk, “I figured we could do something.”

Ascentia trailed after her, “What did you have in mind?”

“A couple of things,” Twilight said nonchalantly.

“Such as…?” Ascentia asked, rotating her hand in the air.

Twilight blushed, “Well, there’s…. something going on, like a dance or something.”

“Yeah, what about it?” Ascentia asked, hiding a knowing smirk.

“I don’t know… Maybe it’s an option for something we can do on Friday…” Twilight dug her shoe into the pavement.

“Twilight, are you trying to find a non-awkward way to ask me to a school dance?” Ascentia asked.

Blushing, Twilight barely looked at her, “...If I say yes, will you go with me?”

“No. If you just suck it up and ask, maybe I’ll go with you,” Ascentia grinned.

“...Will you go with me to the dance on Friday?” Twilight squeaked.

Ascentia chuckled and leaned down to kiss Twilight’s forehead, “Of course.”

“...Really? You want to go?” Twilight asked, wide-eyed.

“Sure, why not?” Ascentia asked.

Grinning, Twilight giggled, “All right then!”

Ascentia took Twilight by the hips and lifted her, bringing her lips to hers and moaning softly. Twilight cooed and kissed her back, unabashed by the fact they were in public. That is until someone actually recognize them.

“Is that Twilight and that new crazy girl?” came a voice in the distance.

“Totally! It is!”

“Yikes, didn’t know Twilight liked to stick it in the crazy.”

“Oh this is priceless, get this on your phone!”

“This is so going up on Youtube!”

Twilight pulled back, wide-eyed, “Let’s get out of here, now!” She whispered.

Ascentia set her down and motioned for her to lead the way, “Alright.”

Grabbing her hand, Twilight wasted no time tearing off down the street.

“Is something the matter, Twilight,” Ascentia asked as she nearly tripped from Twilight’s lead.

“Hello? Did you not hear them?” Twilight whispered.

“Yes, I heard them,” Ascentia replied, “So?”

“It’s embarrassing! I don’t want others knowing about my love life THAT much!”

“They’re going to see us at that dance you asked me to,” Ascentia remarked.

“I know,” Twilight sighed, “I know they know we’re dating and going to the dance together. I’m fine with that. But capturing private moments? We need to be more careful.”

“Are you ashamed of me?” Ascentia asked coyly, “Am I just your dirty little secret?”

“No! No!” Twilight blushed, “Would you want to find a photo of us making out in the school newspaper without your consent?”

“Twilight, I honestly don’t care,” Ascentia shrugged, “We were kissing. What’s so horrible about that?”

“It leads to more attention. Which leads to scandals. Which leads to rumours. Which leads to no privacy. Which leads to assault!” Twilight quivered.

“Assault?” Ascentia asked, “Why would they assault you?”

Twilight looked away, unable to answer for a moment, “...There’s a reason I was homeschooled.”

“Go on,” Ascentia said softly.

“I originally went to Celestia’s School for Gifted Students. It’s a prestigious school in Canterlot, my hometown. You can only get in through scholarship, which you need excellent grades for, or if you have money. I filled out all the paperwork myself and I got in, especially when Princess Celestia said she saw great potential in me. I studied there for a couple of years, before she wanted to take me on as her own private student. When this was found out… I… I was… I was scared for my life,” Twilight managed, her voice shaking, “I was teased, I didn’t know who wanted to be my friend, I was always in the school newspaper, it never stopped. They tried hard to put an end to it all but it never stopped them. They just kept coming back. It got so bad, they pulled me out of school. Princess Celestia opted to just teach me privately, something no one else knew about. I used the home school story so that no one would get suspicious.”

“Twilight, I understand that you’re scared. But I really don’t think anybody is going to do that over this,” Ascentia said softly, pulling the girl into a hug.

Twilight shuddered, hugging her back, “I-I just… I just want to be left alone… I don’t want attention like that…”

Ascentia kissed the top of her head, “I’m sorry I put you on the spot like that.”

“It’s okay… you didn’t know,” Twilight mumbled, “Maybe I was hoping no one would see us for once…”

Ascentia looked around, “There’s nobody here now…”

“...Can we go home?” Twilight shook her head, “I’d feel better doing that.”

“Oh, finally get to meet your family, do I?” Ascentia asked coyly.

Eyes wide, Twilight blushed, “Um… I guess so…”

“Lead the way.”

Welcome To The Family, Don't Have Kids

Entering the house, Twilight came upon her parents in the living room. Her father was watching the news, while her mother was doing some ironing.

“Mom, Dad?” Twilight spoke up, “I know this is kind of sudden, but… I wanted you guys to meet my girlfriend. You know, Ascentia? Who I was telling you about?”

The both of them looked up in surprise, but Night Light managed to quickly shake it off and got up to greet them.

“Uh… it’s nice to meet you, Ascentia,” Night Light said, extending a hand out, “Twilight’s told us an awful lot about you.”

“Oh that’s never a good sign,” Ascentia said flatly, shaking his hand.

Night Light chuckled, “Come in, take your shoes off.”

Twilight Velvet’s eyes widened, “You’re Ascentia?”

“Yes, I’m Ascentia,” Ascentia replied, holding a hand out.

Staring at her hand as if it were something else entirely, she stiffly shook it, “I see.”

“Something the matter, ma’am?” Ascentia asked.

“No, not at all,” Twilight Velvet shufffled off to the kitchen.

“Did I do something?” Ascentia asked, looking at the other two.

Night Light shook his head, “She’s a little old-fashioned, kiddo. Don’t let it get to you.”

“So are my parents,” Ascentia said venomously, sitting with Twilight and Night Light in the living room.

“So,” Night Light said with a serious expression on his face, “What are your intentions with my daughter?”

Twilight buried her face in her hands, “Daaaaaaaaad!”

Ascentia, however, was unphased as she crossed her legs and sat back on the sofa with a smirk, “Well sir, first I plan to pretend to be intimidated by my girlfriend’s father, even though I’m half a foot taller than him. Then I intend on showing her a wondrous first relationship, after which I shall woo and deflower her. Any questions?”

Night Light laughed, slapping his knee, “Ohhh! Good one! Haha! I like her, kiddo. Don’t you let her get away!”

“Dad! Come on!” Twilight turned away in embarrassment.

Ascentia smiled and pulled Twilight into her arms, “Oh come on, Twilight. It could be a lot worse.”

“Mmmmph…” Twilight pouted.

“Hey, I just told your father I intend to deflower you, and wasn’t chased out of the house by shotgun fire,” Ascentia remarked, nuzzling the back of her head, “I’d consider that parent of the year.”

“I know…” Twilight shook her head, “He just embarrasses me sometimes…”

Ascentia smiled and kissed her cheek, “They always do. There’s no escaping it. Like quicksand.”

Twilight frowned slightly in confusion, “But quicksand makes you sink slowly. It’s also easy to avoid sinking into if you step on it lightly. It’s not even as dangerous as most stories make it out to be.”

“...Is she always like this?” Ascentia asked Night Light.

Grinning, Night Light nodded, “Oh, yes. One time my son asked me why worms come up when it’s wet. I said it was because they drank the water, but Twilight-”

“Dad! I’ve told you before, that’s nowhere near the right answer!” Twilight cut in, “Earthworms have very sensitive bodies, skin if you will. Moisture allows them to survive in the outside environment, because otherwise they’d shrivel up and die from the heat. That’s why we find them a lot when it rains or there’s wet dirt around.”

“I see what you mean,” Ascentia snickered as she hugged Twilight tighter, “I don’t mind. I like smart women.”

Twilight blushed and placed her hands over arms, smiling, “Thanks…”

“Knock knock!” A young college-aged boy with two-tone blue hair poked his head in through the front door.

Grinning, Twilight ran to the door and embraced him, “Shining Armor! You’re home!”

Shining hugged her, laughing, “Of course I’m home. Why wouldn’t I be?”

“It’s just great to see you! You’re always out a lot,” Twilight pouted.

“I know,” he smiled, kissing the top of her head, “I missed you too little-who’s this?”

“Oh! Yeah… This is Ascentia Kortai… my girlfriend from school,” Twilight blushed, “Ascentia, this is Shining Armor, my older brother. I’ve told you a lot about him, actually.”

“Oh yeah, Soldier Boy,” Ascentia said disinterestedly, “Nice to meet you.”

Twilight’s face fell. Shining Armor, on the other hand, was undeterred and grinned, “Nice to meet you! Twiley’s been going on a lot about you!”

“Really?” Ascentia said, now looking up, “What have you heard?”

“She’s been saying you’re this amazon-like kinda girl, really pretty and so smart, as well as pretty badass,” he said, chuckling. “It’s pretty funny how she gushes about you!”

“Oh come on!” Twilight blushed, embarrassed all over again, “Et tu, Shining Armor?”

Ascentia chuckled, “So I’m an amazon, am I?”

Twilight blushed and looked away, “I uh… might have said something like it…”

Ascentia sat up and waved a finger, beckoning her over with a smirk on her face. Twilight looked around, blushing as her father and brother laughed while leaving the room to give them privacy. She approached, as if awaiting some kind of dastardly result. Instead, Ascentia pulled her down and pinned her to the sofa, roughly kissing her as her hands found their way to her hair.

“Mmmm!” Twilight squeaked in surprise, wide-eyed. The initial shock wore off before she kissed back, reaching up clutch her shoulders. She dove her tongue into her mouth, eager to explore. Ascentia yelped and pulled back, wiping her lips.

“Did you just…” she said, trailing off.

“Sorry! Sorry….” Twilight crawled away, wide-eyed, “I didn’t mean to! I was carried away!”

“No, you didn’t do anything wrong,” Ascentia said soothingly, “I was just surprised.”

“Oh…” Twilight looked downward, “Still, I’m sorry to take you by surprise like that.”

“That’s alright,” Ascentia smiled, “Why don’t we give that another go?”

“...Okay… I just hope I can do it right,” Twilight squeaked.

This time, Ascentia pulled Twilight back so she was on top and pulled her head down, locking lips with her and running her hand over her back.

Hesitating, Twilight gently poked her lips with her tongue. The first time it happened seconds ago, it had been instinct and she had barely realized she was doing it. Now that it was calculated, she wasn’t even sure she knew how to work it correctly. Ascentia parted her lips to let her in, curling a leg around her’s as she moaned softly against her lips. Reaching her tongue out, she tentatively brushed it against Twilight’s, feeling a thrill from the sensation of tasting the smaller woman’s mouth within her own.

“Twilight! Now really!” Came her mother’s voice.

Twilight squealed and pulled away, wide-eyed, “M-Mom!”

Twilight Velvet sighed, shaking her head, “Honestly, have some decency here. Now come and help us set the table for dinner. Especially since we seem to have an extra place needed.”

Nodding, Twilight pouted a bit, “Okay, Mom…”

“What’s her problem?” Ascentia asked, “We were just kissing.”

“It’s not just you,” Twilight said, shaking her head, “She did the same whenever she caught Shining Armor and Cadance together.”

“I’m still not seeing the issue,” Ascentia remarked flatly, “All that tells me is that it’s not just you your mother is a bitch to.”

Twilight wiggled away, “Never mind. Let’s just go.”

“Alright, if you say so,” Ascentia replied, following her to the kitchen.

Dinnertime was a fairly quiet affair, with the family plus one eating some spaghetti and meatballs. Ascentia and Twilight were seated next to each other, while Shining Armor sat opposite them. Twilight Velvet and Night Light at opposite ends of the table.

“So Ascentia,” Night Light said cheerfully, “What do you do outside of school?”

“Your daughter,” Ascentia said flatly.

Shining Armor laughed, as did Night Light, while Twilight blushed heavily. Twilight Velvet said nothing, she only stared at her plate with subtle nods or shakes of her head.

“Okay, seriously now,” Night Light laughed.

“I don’t do much,” Ascentia said disinterestedly, “I go to school, then I go home. That’s really it to be honest. I draw a little, but other than that I’m not that interesting.”

“Sounds like when I ground my kids,” Night Light joked.

“Oh yeah…” Twilight groaned, “I remember. Go to school, come home from school, do homework, do chores, go to bed.”

“Well in all fairness, that’s pretty much what you were doing without being grounded anyway,” Shining remarked, “Maybe this one can get you out of the house more often.”

“Oh I plan on getting her out of more than just her house,” Ascentia smirked.

Everyone sans her mother laughed, while Twilight buried her face in her hands, “‘Scentiaaaaa!! Stop it!”

Ascentia wrapped an arm around her and kissed the top of her head, “Oh come on, Twilight. Do you know how rare it is to see a family that laughs at that? Especially a father with a teenage daughter? Or her older brother? I half expected to have something resembling a barrel at my head right now.”

“We don’t even own a gun,” Shining Armor chuckled, “Nah, I know Twiley’s in good hands. She wouldn’t go for just anyone. When she was eight, one of the boys in her class tried to ask her out. But she told him she loved books more than any boy, since they couldn’t live up to books!”

“Oh come on!” Twilight whined, her face falling to the table, “I was a kiiiid… come on…”

“I could see why boys wouldn’t live up to books,” Ascentia smirked, “You’re a bookworm, and gay.”

Twilight halfway turned her face, “I was eight and unaware of gay even existing, Freud.”

“Anyway,” Shining Armor went on, “it’s like I said, She’s not about to just go for the next gal who bats her eyes at her. So I wasn’t worried she was about to drag over some drug-inducing college girl or start rebelling like that.”

“Me neither,” Night Light agreed, “The way she talked about you, it sounded like you were way too good to be true!”

“I didn’t exaggerate that much!” Twilight whined.

“Twilight I gave some kid a concussion yesterday for writing on a locker I don’t even own,” Ascentia smirked, “What did you tell them?”

“Nothing! Just that you’re… ya know, pretty, smart, really interesting to talk to, all that stuff…” Twilight looked away from her with a blush.

“‘Oh my gosh, she’s an amazon goddess! Wait until you see her! She’s gorgeous!’” Shining Armor mimicked in a silly, girly voice that sounded nothing like Twilight.

“I did not say that!”

“Yes you did, kiddo!” Night Light patted her head, laughing.

“Did you really?” Ascentia asked, “Be honest.”

“No!” Twilight turned away, “I am not going to dignify that with a response!”

Ascentia opened her mouth to retort, then stopped, turning back to her food as a blush tinted her cheeks.

“She totally did. I got it on tape,” Shining Armor winked.

“Stop it!”

“I am getting that tape,” Shining grinned, getting up.

“Shining, I don’t want to see it,” Ascentia said firmly, “It’s making Twilight more uncomfortable than I would like.”

Twilight turned back around, “Wait! I lied! I did say it! I’m sorry, I’m just not used to saying things like this! I said it! I said all kinds of nice things!”

Ascentia’s blush deepened and she gave her a one-armed hug, kissing her cheek. Giggles erupted from the table, while Twilight blushed, unable to stop smiling.

“I’m… flattered, Twilight,” Ascentia smiled, “I had no idea you were that enamoured with me.”

Twilight pouted, “I wouldn’t be with you if I wasn’t… Of course I am…”

“You should hear her through the walls at night,” Shining smirked, but this time Ascentia glared at him.

“I think that’s going farther over the line than you ought to be going,” she said harshly.

Twilight poked her side, “Actually, I can tell a lot more of what goes on behind his walls!”

“Twiley!”

“You started it!”

“Kids, don’t you start fighting now!”

“But Dad!”

“No buts!”

“DAAAAAAAD!” Both siblings shouted.

Night Light shook his head, looking toward Ascentia, “Welcome to the family. Don’t have kids, they’re monsters.”

“Dad!” Twilight pouted.

“Oh hush you, and come here,” Ascentia smirked, pulling Twilight over and kissing her.

“Mmph!” Twilight squirmed a little.

Ascentia stroked her hair as she pushed her tongue into her mouth to the adoring “Awwww”s of Night Light and Shining and an indignant huff from Twilight Velvet. Eventually Twilight gave in and returned it, falling limp against her. Ascentia pulled her into her lap, caressing her tongue with her’s and hugging her tightly.

Pulling away to breathe, Twilight blushed heavily and hid her face in her shoulder. Ascentia chuckled and snuggled her.

“You’re so cute,” she sighed, “I love you.”

The entire room went quiet.

Twilight’s eyes widened to the size of her own dinner plate, she looked utterly frozen, like a statue. The only sounds to follow were Night Light’s chuckling and Shining’s whistling.

“..I… I… I… huh?” She squeaked.

Ascentia looked confused, as if she’d done something wrong yet had no idea what, “What? What did I do?”

“Don’t worry, she’s just shocked since she never heard that outside of family,” Shining Armor said.

“...Eh? ...Love?” Twilight managed.

“Yes,” Ascentia said matter-of-factly, “What about it?”

“...I uh… had no idea… you felt that strongly…” Twilight murmured, biting her lip.

“I agreed to go out with you, didn’t I?” Ascentia asked, “I was making out with you right in front of your family.”

“...Well, yeah…” Twilight blushed even more, “Gosh, I … I don’t know what to say…”

Shining started coughing harshly, “Tellheryouloveher!”

“Oh! Well, okay….” Twilight squirmed a bit, “...I.. I think I love you, too…”

Ascentia smiled and kissed her again, squeezing her tightly. This time Twilight wasted no time and kissed back, running her fingers through her hair. This time, Twilight Velvet was having none of it.

“Okay the two of you, break it up,” she snapped, “Lord, you two are all over each other. What’s wrong with you?!”

“Mom! Jeez! We’re not shooting up heroin and having sex on the table!” Twilight protested.

“Is that second one an option?” Ascentia asked, much to Twilight Velvet’s disgust.

“Dear, they’re just kissing,” Night Light said calmly.

“No they’re not, they’re practically grinding each other,” Twilight Velvet said venomously.

“Mom, come on,” Shining Armor interjected, “I understand why you were worried with me and Cadance. But what are you worried about with Twilight? She finally has a girlfriend, someone she likes, so what’s the problem? They can kiss if they want to. They’re not doing anything wrong here.”

“There’s a thing called decency, though you always had bad manners,” Twilight Velvet said with a huff, “But Twilight was always a good girl, and now she’s… devolved into some sort of animal once she started seeing you.”

“Do you take a pill to get that stupid, or do you do it naturally?” Ascentia asked.

“Mom….” Twilight uttered, hurt. “W-Why would you say that…?”

“What the hell, Mom?!” Shining Armor stood up in anger, “What did Twiley do that was so wrong? She’s still your daughter and she hasn’t changed!”

“Dear, you can’t mean that,” Night Light chided, “That was cruel.”

“I want you out of my house, now!” Twilight Velvet snapped, pointing Ascentia to the door and ignoring the other three.

Everyone fell silent, stunned.

Twilight stood up, grabbing her bag, then Ascentia’s hand, “Fine! Then I’m leaving too! Come on honey, we’re going out for a walk or something!”

Without waiting for any response, she dragged her out the back door and slammed it behind her. Ascentia simply allowed herself to be dragged behind her, contemplating what just happened.

“Mommy has issues, does she?” Ascentia asked.

“Urgh! It’s like she’s stuck in the fifties or something!” Twilight ranted angrily, “Jeez! You’d think I walked in dressed as a punk with a drug needle stuck to my bicep!”

“Was she always like this?” Ascentia asked.

“Kinda. Cadance is… yes, the same Cadance who’s the Princess of the Crystal Empire. She was my babysitter when I was a kid. When Shining Armor started dating her… It was messed up,” Twilight sighed, “You’d think that it’d be a good thing, right? Well, she fired Cadance and I didn’t see her for years. Not until a couple years ago.”

“Does your mother just hate the idea of her kids having girlfriends, or what?” Ascentia asked, pulling Twilight into a hug.

“I don’t even know… It’s like she wants us to marry who she approves,” Twilight returned it.

Ascentia ran her hands through Twilight’s hair, dotting her face with kisses, “I’m sorry, Twilight. You don’t deserve that.”

“It’s okay…” Twilight gave a little smile, “I’m not about to stop seeing you because of it. Besides, Shining Armor snuck behind her back, too. If I have to, then I will.”

Ascentia smiled and pushed Twilight back a bit to look at her with half lidded eyes, “In that case, how about we go piss off Mommy?” she said, running her finger along Twilight’s belt.

“No, no,” Twilight batted her hand away with a giggle, “Let’s go get ice cream.”

Ascentia relented and let her lead the way, “You know I’m going to get you out of those jeans eventually, right?”

“Nope!” Twilight giggled, winking at her.

Ascentia laughed and ran after her.

“Ack! I don’t even know which one I should wear! Too elegant? Too casual? I can’t decide which is better or worse! Oh, I should’ve asked Rarity…” Twilight moaned, throwing another dress onto her bed from the closet.

“Does this mean I can go now?” Shining Armor asked as Cadance grabbed one of the dresses out of his arms.

“No,” said Cadance, shaking her head, “Twilight needs her support system more than ever! It’s her first dance, after all!”

“What makes you think your girlfriend is doing the same thing?” Shining asked, “She’s been here three times and worn the exact same thing every time.”

Twilight pouted, “Well then I’m going to feel overdressed!”

Cadance, on the other hand, glared at him, “First dates are supposed to be special. I’m sure Ascentia is going to wear something nice as well.”

“Can you imagine a girl that tall in a dress?” Shining chuckled.

“Aunt Jenny is six two, she wears dresses,” Twilight pointed out.

“Aunt Jenny doesn’t look like she can bench press a person,” Shining remarked.

Cadance stepped between them again, “Come on now, you two, let’s not get off track here! I think I know just the dress for you to wear, sweetheart.”

“Which one?”

With a grin, the older girl went and selected a frilly, ruffled, strapless dress made for her by Rarity.

“This cute little number! Oh, you’re going to look adorable and like the belle of the ball!” Cadance grinned.

“Really? Strapless?” Twilight cringed, “She already wants to get my clothes off, I don’t think I should be showing more skin…”

“Twilight, it’s about time you stepped up a little and showed some skin!” Cadance encouraged, “It’s still tasteful, but it pushes the envelope a little. That’s part of the fun!”

Twilight blushed and hid her face, “O-okay…”

“Atta girl!” Cadance gave her the dress, patting her on the back, “Now go and change! Let me see how you look!”

Twilight stepped behind a changing screen and started to strip, throwing her clothes over the edge and pulling the dress on.

“So… now can I go?” Shining asked.

Giggling, Cadance slapped his rear playfully, “Go ahead, cutie. This is going to be girl time, now.”

“Thank Celestia,” Shining sighed, throwing the other dresses onto the bed and leaving, shutting the door behind him.

“Cadance, I don’t think this is a good idea…” Twilight said from behind the screen.

“Why not?” Cadance asked, approaching it.

Twilight stepped from around, showing how the dress squeezed her chest, “I have… cleavage!”

“Twilight, that’s the point! It’s meant to show off your cleavage,” Cadance told her.

“But… whyyyyyyyy?!” Twilight grimaced.

Cadance giggled, bringing an arm around her, “Twiley, you’re so cute. Come on now, it’s a time to be daring, to just have fun and not care about what others are going to think. It’s your first dance, your first dance with a girlfriend, and you’re going to take it down! Nothing’s going to stop you tonight.”

“But… what if things go further?” Twilight asked, “What if… she wants to go all the way with me?”

“That will depend on how you feel,” Cadance said seriously, “If you want to, if you feel ready, then go for it, If you’re not ready, you tell her so. It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, it doesn’t give her or anyone the right to act on temptation. If they can’t control themselves, that’s not your problem. I’m not saying you should deliberately tempt anyone or her, either. It’s just about having fun and being more… daring, like I said. But again, if you don’t want to, you stop her.”

Twilight took a deep breath, and sighed, “Okay Cadance. I think I can do this.”

“Twilight!” came Shining’s voice from downstairs, “Ascentia’s here!”

Twilight shrieked, “I was wrong! I can’t do this!”

“Yes you can!” Cadance held her shoulders, “You can do this, Twilight! I know you can. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything. Now, go for it! Go out there and show them what you’re made of! Knock ‘em dead!”

Twilight took several deep breaths and stood up, “Okay… okay… okay… let’s go!”

Taking her hand, Cadance led her out the door and to the stairs, “Miss Kortai… your lady awaits!” She stepped aside to allow Twilight to descend.

Nervously, Twilight did so, unsure where to even look, so she settled for her feet, her cheeks a bright pink.

Ascentia had her back turned to them, inspecting a painting as she heard the footsteps come down the stairs.

“I was wondering what was taking you so lo-fucking hell!” she balked as she turned and watched Twilight come down the stairs, her mouth hanging open.

“S-Sorry, I was-oooohhh,” Twilight blinked, surprised to she that she was indeed wearing a dress. “W-Wow! Hey… you look nice! I’m not overdressed! Yes!” She danced a little, looking like a silly dork.

Ascentia looked down at the simple green garment that the shop owner had very sarcastically called a ‘dress’ and smiled, “Thanks… you’re… fucking gorgeous.”

“Hey, come on… I look okay…” Twilight demurely brought her arms behind her back.

Ascentia bounded forward, meeting her on the stairs and pulling her into a kiss, running her hands along her bare shoulders. Twilight shuddered a bit, but kissed her back sweetly.

“Awwww,” Cadance cooed, “Shining, get the camera!”

“Way ahead of you!” Shining grinned, taking a photo of the two.

Twilight squirmed and cooed in Ascentia’s grip, while Ascentia just hugged her tighter, biting down onto her lip. After a few more moments, they parted and looked into each other’s eyes.

“Wow…” Twilight giggled.

“Doesn’t matter how many times we do that, you always act like it’s the first,” Ascentia snickered, and motioning toward the door, “Shall we?”

Nodding, Twilight took her clutch and jacket, draping it over her arm, “Yep!”

“Have her back by one!” Shining Armor quipped.

“Before breakfast, you mean!” Cadance giggled, “Have a good time, you two!”

Ascentia waved as she and Twilight shut the door behind them.

“So, do you prefer to walk or drive?” Ascentia asked.

“Well, I do have heels, so I’m going to need a little help,” Twilight said, indicating her heeled boots.

Ascentia took her by the arm and led her down the street, “Why are you wearing heels? That doesn’t seem very comfortable.”

“Actually, these are really comfortable! The heels are great support,” Twilight grinned.

“Well they are sexy,” Ascentia smiled, looking down at her legs.

Blushing, Twilight averted her gaze slightly, “Thanks…”

The school dance was being held in the gymnasium, where loud and funky dance music was heard from the surround sound speakers all over. Further adding to it were some flashy, colourful lights pointed at the designated area that was the dance floor. Many students danced, while some were off to the sidelines in their own groups.

Twilight could not believe how loud and very colourful it all was. She stood to the side, almost hidden in the shadows, with Ascentia alongside her.

Rocking back and forth on her heels, she scanned the crowd for any of her friends, considering they had said they would be coming to the dance this evening.

“Gosh, I wonder if I really was missing anything…” Twilight remarked, feeling a little cold all of a sudden.

“What do you mean?” Ascentia asked, “Is everything alright?”

“I feel weird… out of place… like I really shouldn’t be here…” Twilight looked around again, “Wow. How nice. I ask my first ever girlfriend to the dance, our first ever dance together… and here I am griping because I’m not used to it. Making it sound like I don’t even want to be here. How nice! Great… Now I’m a wuss.”

Ascentia took her hand and pulled her out into the crowd, “Come on, let’s get you moving before you start overthinking everything.”

“I am not overthinking!” Twilight pouted, but otherwise didn’t protest.

Ascentia spun around and looked at her, “Alright, how do you want to do this?”

“Do what?” Twilight asked, puzzled.

“Dance, what else?” Ascentia smirked, “I always had ideas, but they never really fit well with music that sounds like someone is smacking themselves in the face with a studio mic.”

“...I can’t dance,” Twilight confessed, looking down.

“Then why come to one?” Ascentia said warmly, “You know what, hold on a minute.”

Ascentia threw a discarded shoe up behind the MC bench, who turned to look at her. She made a few committal gestures and he nodded. Fiddling with some settings, the thumping music faded out and changed to something slower and more intimate.

Ascentia turned back to Twilight and hugged her, “This is piss easy. Just rock back and forth.”

“Okay…” Twilight brought her arms around her neck, nervously moving about, “Yeah… Yeah, this is easy… I can do this… This is nice…”

Ascentia nuzzled her head as she swayed her around, holding Twilight tightly against her, “See? There we are, you got this.”

“Yeah…. Yeah! I got this!” Twilight giggled, nuzzling her back, “Wow!”

She looked all around her as they danced, watching some other couples dancing together. Her eyes then fell on, to her surprise, Rainbow and Fluttershy dancing together. Really close. Really really close. They looked more like a couple than two friends sharing a dance, especially with the way Rainbow was leaning on her shoulder, looking blissful.

Twilight snorted, giggling, “Just friends my foot…”

Her eyes turned further and fell on Rarity, who was seated at one of the tables, watching everyone else dance. She had a big smile on her face, which made sense as a lot of other students had bought dresses from her. It seemed she was having just as much fun watching her dream business become more and more of a reality as everyone else was dancing.

Moments later, she was joined by Applejack, who was saying something to her. Whatever it was, Rarity was then smiling wider and laughing. Deciding to ask her later, Twilight turned her head back and laid it on Ascentia’s shoulder.

“Mmmm,” Ascentia moaned softly, “This is lovely, Twilight.”

“You bet it is...” Twilight agreed, closing her eyes, “It’s great.”

Ascentia closed her eyes as well, hugging Twilight tightly to her and nuzzling her, “I love you, Twilight.”

“I…. I think it…. Oh, screw it. No more of that. I love you too,” Twilight beamed.

Ascentia chuckled softly and rocked her on the spot, kissing her hair.

“Woohoo!” Twilight cheered, laughing a bit.

Lifting the girl up, Ascentia spun her on the spot before setting her back down, a movement that drew attention from the slow moving crowd.

“PARTY!!”

Pinkie appeared in the middle of the dance floor, dancing and looking like an immense dork, which drew everyone’s attention almost immediately.

Twilight giggled in relief, “Oh, Pinkie… don’t ever change…” She murmured.

XXX

“So, you two look like you’re getting pretty serious,” Rainbow laughed as the seven of them sat around the table.

Twilight snorted again, hiding a smile behind her hand, “Yeah... you can say that!”

“Hey, remember three weeks ago when you were all maddy-pie at her?” Pinkie said gleefully, “And you didn’t want to talk to her and then we all made you go talk to her?!”

“Yes, I remember…” Twilight playfully rolled her eyes, “You guys remind me of it every other day.”

“That’s because you were being all nervous-nelly!” Pinkie grinned.

“But really, darling, I’m glad it all worked out,” Rarity smiled, “You seem so lively now.”

Twilight blushed a bit, giggling, “Oh, come on. If any of us made it along, that’s Fluttershy. The hardest thing I had to do was just work up the nerve to ask. I can’t exactly top gathering nerve, getting rejected, and then getting back up again!”

Fluttershy smiled a bit shyly, “Well… it helped to have such supportive friends, and Rainbow promised to go with me in his place. That’s all.”

“I still think that kid has the dumbest name in the world,” Ascentia quipped, “I’m glad I knocked him out.”

“He’s no Dick Grayson!” Twilight nudged her side.

“Was never really fond of him either,” Ascentia retorted.

“Shut up, no one cares,” Twilight stuck her tongue out at her, “So! You girls enjoying the dance?”

“Of course, Darling,” Rarity exclaimed, “Everyone is wearing my designs! Oooh, I wish I could do this for a living!”

“The dresses are all lovely…” Fluttershy smiled, “I think you could make a nice living off it one day.”

Rarity grinned, “I’d only wished you two had let me design your’s,” Rarity pouted, “I could have made the two of you look absolutely stunning!”

Fluttershy blushed and giggled, patting her arm affectionately, “Next time.”

“I can’t believe I still had this one you made me last year,” Twilight remarked, fiddling with the skirt of her own, “If Cadance hadn’t found it, there’s no telling what I’d be wearing.”

“If I had my way, you’d be wearing nothing at all,” Ascentia smirked, kissing her hair.

Their friends all snickered.

“Will you guys just do it already?” Rainbow quipped, winking at the two.

Twilight snorted, “Hello Pot, I’m Kettle.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Rainbow asked, looking baffled.

“You’ll figure it eventually, darling,” Rarity giggled.

“Well, point still stands. You two have been getting all close and intimate,” Rainbow smirked, “When are you two just gonna screw already?”

“Okay, as tempted as I am, I’m not rushing anything here. The last thing I want is to go into it blindly,” Twilight said, blushing a bit, “I just don’t feel ready yet… You know?”

“Oh, that’s okay, Twilight,” Fluttershy smiled and patted her shoulder, “It’s understandable you’re not ready yet. There’s no need to rush anything.”

“Speak for yourself,” Ascentia smirked, “You’re not the one whose lap she flops that cute ass onto all the time.”

Eyes wide, Fluttershy cowered and squeaked, saying nothing else.

“Hey, give her a break,” Rainbow said crossly.

“Girls, girls, calm down,” Twilight spread her arms between them all, “Look, it’ll happen when it happens, okay?”

“Oh I’m calm, Twilight,” Ascentia smiled, “I was just making a joke.”

Twilight nodded, “I know. But sometimes… Fluttershy feels like no one takes what she says seriously and is making fun of her when they respond with jokes.”

Ascentia shrugged and said nothing, taking a sip from a solid metal water bottle.

“So then, sugarcube,” Applejack spoke up to break the silence, “Since it’s yer first dance an’ all, how’s it been holdin’ up?”

“You know, it’s turning out a lot better than I expected it to,” Twilight grinned, “I mean, I eventually got to dancing, and here I am with you girls and my girlfriend too! I’m glad we decided to come here.”

Ascentia kissed her neck, squeezing her a little, “I’m glad you’re having fun, sweetheart.”

“Me too,” Twilight giggled gleefully.

“Hey, I heard from a friend of Shining’s that your mother flipped out at you two the other day,” Pinkie said, hanging a spoon from her nose, “What happened?”

“Urgh… I don’t even know anymore… I swear Mom’s stuck in the middle ages or something,” Twilight muttered.

“Whatever do you mean?” Rarity asked, “What happened?”

Twilight explained to the others about what had occurred, and even in how things had been tense ever since then. It became more and more apparent to Twilight that she was feeling like she had no support from her own mother. As a teenager, that made it even harder and confusing to face up to issues she would eventually see more of. Without her mother’s support, it was beginning to feel like she had an emptiness within herself.

By the time she was done, she was leaning over the table, staring disdainfully at the tabletop.

“So I don’t even know what to do, now.”

“My goodness… she really called you an animal?” Rarity balked.

“What a bitch!” Rainbow said angrily.

“What about your parents?” Fluttershy asked Ascentia, “How do they feel about you and Twilight?”

“They don’t know,” Ascentia said flatly.

“Now I wish my parents didn’t… My dad’s been nice and supportive, but my Mom… come on, she’s my Mom…” Twilight moaned, “I can’t turn to anyone like her anymore. Cadance is too busy and I don’t want to bother her… Princess Celestia has been the only thing close to a mother I ever had aside from Mom. And I can’t bother her, either. If I can’t turn to my own Mom, who can I turn to?”

Ascentia held a hand out and waved to the five women seated in front of her.

“Of course you still have us, silly!” Pinkie said eagerly with a grin, “We’re not gonna turn our backs on you!”

“Never, dear,” Rarity agreed, “I do not know where your mother had the idea that love is conditional, but we surely don’t live by that.”

“We’re still here and we’ll help however we can,” Fluttershy smiled.

“There, see?” Ascentia smiled, “You’ll be fine.”

“Thanks, girls…” Twilight smiled.

“Don’t ya worry none about it, sugarcube,” Applejack squeezed her shoulder in assurance, “You’ll always have us.”

Rainbow squirmed, looking a little uncomfortable and uncertain, “Yeah… Yeah, definitely. I… urgh, sorry, I’m no good at this mushy stuff. Just… what you guys said, ‘kay?”

Fluttershy smiled and nuzzled her, causing the rainbow-haired teen to blush, “You tried, Rainbow.”

Ascentia looked at her watch, the display reading that it was nearing midnight and the dance would be over soon, “Should we be heading out, Twilight?”

“Huh? Oh! Right, yeah, it is a little late, isn’t it?” Twilight realized, smiling sheepishly, “Yeah, we’d better go.”

“Do you want me to take you home, or would you like to go somewhere else?” Ascentia asked.

“Let’s go home. Mom’s out of town for the weekend and she left this afternoon,” Twilight said, getting up.

“Going to my girlfriend’s house at midnight?” Ascentia asked, “Sounds fun.”

Twilight nudged her side, “Don’t get ideas, Catwoman.”

“Too late, already have ‘em,” Ascentia smirked.

While they dispersed to go their separate ways, Twilight blew a raspberry.

Sorry, Not Into Mother And Daughter

“Homework done.. Studying, a week ahead of schedule…” Twilight sprawled on her bed, muffled into her pillow now, “And there’s nothing to do.”

“If you’re that bored, you could always clean the garage,” Night Light suggested as he walked past her open door.

Twilight rolled back over, “I’m not that desperate, Dad.”

“Well then why don’t you call your girlfriend?” Night Light asked, “You’ve been cooped up in this house for days. Spend some time with someone.”

“I guess so…” Twilight sat up, stretching, “Plus my friends are all busy…” She reached for her cell phone, speed dialing.

“Hello?” came Ascentia’s voice on the other end.

Twilight smiled upon hearing her voice, “Hey, sweetheart, what’cha doing?”

“Um…” there was the distinct sound of fabric rustling, “Nothing, why what’s up?”

Raising a brow with confusion, Twilight shrugged, “Nothing, really. I’m actually kind of bored. Would you like to do something together?”

“What did you have in mind?” Ascentia asked.

“I don’t know,” Twilight sighed, shaking her head, “I guess if you want to come by or something? Don’t worry about Mom, she’s not around until later tonight.”

“Alright, be there in a bit,” Ascentia said, hanging up.

‘A bit’ turned out to be nearly an hour, with Ascentia prodding the doorbell repeatedly to announce her arrival. Twilight rushed downstairs, opening the door for her.

“Oh, that was quick, Ascentia, I only called you an hour ago,” she said dryly.

“I live on the other side of the city,” Ascentia said flatly, “It’s not exactly a straight line.”

“Could’ve fooled me,” Twilight poked her stomach, letting her in and closing the door.

Almost immediately, Ascentia grabbed her from behind and lifted her off her feet, kissing her cheek before setting her down again, “So, what did you want to do?”

“...I don’t know…” Twilight confessed, twiddling her fingers, “I figured we could find something to do.”

Ascentia smiled, pulling her onto the couch and into her lap, snuggling her tightly, “Why don’t we just do nothing together?”

“Nothing? But… nothing is… nothing!” Twilight pouted, snuggling her anyway.

“And?” Ascentia asked, kissing her neck, “You have any other ideas, I’m all ears.”

“...No, I don’t,” Twilight pouted.

Ascentia leaned back, paying flat on the couch and cradling Twilight on top of her, “Then cuddling it is.”

A smile grew on the shorter girl’s face, “Cuddling is always nice…”

Ascentia lowered her hands to Twilight’s lower back, snuggled her close and rubbing their noses together, “I love you, Twilight.”

“I love you too,” Twilight kissed her cheek, “You’re the best.”

Ascentia smiled and brought her face in, bringing her lips to hers as she wrapped an arm around her waist. Eagerly, Twilight kissed her back and straddled her hips, running her fingers along the soft red strands of her hair. A feeling of excitement swirled in the pit of her stomach, sending shivers up her spine. Ascentia bit down on her lip and swirled her tongue around them, moving both her hands to Twilight’s hips, moaning softly against her mouth.

“Mmmm…” Twilight moaned, laying a bit further down, fisting her fingers into her hair. She explored the other girl’s mouth eagerly, taking in her flavours a plenty. Before long, her fingers loosened and ran down her shoulders, rubbing them.

Ascentia shivered as her hands touched her shoulders, bringing her own up and wrapping them around her waist again as she suckled Twilight’s tongue as it probed around her mouth.

Pulling back a bit, Twilight smiled with a blush, “You know… You taste good…”

Ascentia’s cheeks were flushed as she caught her breath, “I do?”

“Yeah… I don’t know how, but you do…” Twilight nuzzled noses with her.

Ascentia giggled, briefly kissing her, “You taste like… coffee.”

“I don’t drink it… But I’m addicted to Coffee Crisp,” Twilight grinned.

“That explains the hint of chocolate,” Ascentia smirked, nuzzling her.

Twilight giggled, “Well, sweetie cakes, that’s only part of it.”

“Oh?” Ascentia asked, hugging her tightly, “What else is there?”

“Kiss me again and you might see…” Twilight licked her nose, winking.

Ascentia roughly pulled her down to meet her lips, running her tongue over them before pushing past and exploring her mouth, curling her fingers into her hair as a moan escaped her. Straddling her harder, Twilight felt a strange sense of immense pleasure in this. While she’d been curious about the idea of sex between them, it wasn’t until now that she was more willing to push the envelope.

Lowering her hands, she ran them along Ascentia’s sides, taking a feel of her curves. She then brought them to her legs, exploring them curiously. Visions and ideas of what they could do flashed in Twilight’s mind, more so than she could remember them doing. Ascentia’s breath hitched underneath her as she felt Twilight running her fingers along her legs, curling her fingers more tightly into her hair and curling her tongue around Twilight’s in a breathy moan.

Twilight moaned into their mouths, falling more into her own urges. Less of her mind was holding her back and actually releasing her from uncertainty. Whatever it was that drove her, she followed it. Her hands ran back up to her hips, then along her chest, where she groped Ascentia’s smaller though full chest curiously.

Ascentia groaned and pulled away from her, breathing heavily, “Twilight… what are you doing?”

“I don’t know, I just… I think I… really want to try going further…” Twilight blushed a bit, “I mean, you kind of touch me there sometimes… And I like it…”

Ascentia nodded and pulled her back down, bringing their lips back together and giving her an encouraging moan. Giggling against her lips, Twilight resumed her ministrations of groping her breasts. It felt thrilling, to be able to explore her like that. It was unlike anything she’d felt before. Either way, she enjoyed it. Ascentia clearly enjoyed it too, as she slowly started to shudder and give sharp breaths as she hungrily ran her tongue over every inch of Twilight’s mouth she could reach.

All the more curious, Twilight ran her hands up Ascentia’s baggy t-shirt, reaching her soft skin beneath there. Already her hands were weaving along the cotton padding of her bra, cupping her breasts. Ascentia pulled her mouth away from Twilight’s and leaned back, shuddering and blushing furiously.

“Twilight, that feels… nice,” she groaned, reaching up to stroke her face as she pulled her back down and began exploring her mouth again.

“Good to know,” Twilight said between kisses, reaching toward her back, but stopping. What was going to happen now? Keep exploring? Let it all go further? She had no idea. All she knew was that she was enjoying these new elements of their relationship. Hesitating, she pulled back, “W-Wait a second…”

“What’s wrong?” Ascentia asked, catching her stammer.

“I… I don’t know what I’m doing… Every book on sex I’ve read doesn’t talk about leading up to it… Or how to start… And you… You’ve had so many partners before… How can I even live up to that? I don’t know if I can even do it right!” Twilight began to squirm away.

Ascentia’s cheeks flushed a little and she sat up, nuzzling her, “If you don’t want to, Twilight, I’ll understand.”

“No! I do want to! I just don’t know how!” Twilight blushed, looking embarrassed and nervous.

“Shh,” Ascentia smiled, putting a finger to her lips, “Why don’t we go upstairs and get some more privacy, and I’ll show you how.”

Eyes wide, Twilight blushed heavily, “...Sure… we can do that.”

Ascentia lifted her off her lap and took her by the hand, leading her to the stairs and climbing them. As she and Twilight got to her bedroom, Night Light passed by them.

“Hey you two, how’s it going?” he asked.

Ascentia pushed Twilight into the room, “Put on your noise cancelling headphones, this is gonna get loud,” she said before closing the door in his face.

Twilight fell onto her bed, wide-eyed. This was all happening so fast. What was she to do now? All she knew was that there was no way she could turn back from this. Not when her heart and body wanted it more than ever. Not when she felt a tingling between her legs.

Ascentia kneeled over her, reaching underneath her shirt as she softly kissed her, rubbing the underside of her breasts as she locked her hips in place with her weight, curling her fingernails over her skin.

“Nnnhhhh!” Twilight moaned between kisses, squirming in pleasure beneath her.

Ascentia lifted away from her, lifting Twilight’s shirt up to her chest and leaning down to kiss her stomach, nipping at her soft skin as her dextrous hands went to work undoing her belt.

“Ooh…” Twilight smiled brightly, her blush increasing, “This is how you do it…”

“Almost,” Ascentia whispered, pulling her belt off her and unzipping her jeans, kissing down her body as she pulled them off, leaving Twilight in her t-shirt and panties, “Let’s see how much you really do enjoy learning.”

Twilight grinned, “Teach me, Master Ascentia...”

Ascentia lifted Twilight’s legs into the air, kissing her calf as she trailed her fingers down to her thighs, taking ahold of her panties and lifting them down her legs and off of her completely. Pushing her legs back, she bent them at the knees and spread them apart, leaning down and kissing her abdomen as she peered up at her with bedroom eyes.

Squirming beneath her, Twilight clutched the sheets as the intense tingles of pleasure coursed through her. She shivered, anticipating what was to come, “G-Go ahead…” She managed.

Ascentia lifted her lips from her and smirked, then lowered her head down and wrapped her lips around her moist folds, trailing her tongue around her nub as she nipped her teeth against her.

Crying out in pleasure, Twilight was engulfed with the foreign but pleasuring feeling of Ascentia’s mouth on her sex. She bucked her hips lightly, breathing heavily as the waves of immense ecstasy ran through her.

“Oh my gosh…! That feels so good! Y-Yes! Keep doing that!”

Ascentia trailed her tongue around her folds, then pushed it past her lips, raking her teeth against her sensitive nub as her tongue explored within her, taking in her sweet, chocolatey taste. Bringing her hand up, she raked her nails over Twilight’s stomach as her tongue probed inside her, giving a little hum.

“Nnnghhh! Oooh my gosh!” Twilight moaned, grabbing her head, “Oh my gosh!”

She squirmed and writhed, bringing her legs around her shoulders. This was completely unexpected, to feel this good, this amazing. Whatever kind of skills Ascentia may have gained in her experiences, Twilight felt immensely thankful for.

Ascentia smiled as she kissed along her sex, wrapping her lips around her nub and suckling it as she brought her hands underneath her to clutch her rear. Running her tongue in circles around her nub, she licked up her juices and massaged her labia between her lips and tongue.

“Aaaahh… ooohhh Ascentia…” Twilight moaned, her arms falling limp, “Don’t you dare stop… that’s soooo good… yes...”

Ascentia moaned against her sex, continuing her ministrations while her fingers massaged and prodded every inch of Twilight’s skin that she could reach. Running back, she stroked her legs, nuzzling her cheek against Twilight’s inner thigh as she dover her tongue into her.

The rush of climax approached rapidly, before Twilight could even try to slow it down. It was so intense, she almost wanted this to stop, for fear of it becoming painful. She moaned louder, her legs closing tighter around her lover’s head.

“I think I’m close…!” She uttered.

Ascentia hummed loudly as she lifted her thighs up and sped up, determined to push Twilight as hard as she could, moaning as her taste filled her mouth.

Before long, Twilight reached climax and cried out her lover’s name in a strangled sort of way. She had never cum this hard before, or even felt such a strong leakage of her juices. Nonetheless, she rode out her intense climax and fell limp, her legs giving way and her chest heaving with every pant.

Ascentia rose up, wiping her mouth on her sleeve and smiling as she kneeled up and looked at her, “Someone certainly had fun,” she smirked.

“Wow… That was incredible! It felt so good I could barely breathe!” Twilight uttered, panting a bit.

Ascentia ran her hands over Twilight’s thighs, “I’m happy you thought so. I’d been dying to get my lips around you since I met you.”

“...Seriously?” Twilight looked baffled, “You can feel that way with someone just meeting them?”

Ascentia chuckled, “Twilight, you can easily decide if you want to have sex with someone or not. That’s pretty much the urge that drives all relationships. Pretty much the instant I saw you walk away from me, I wanted you.”

Twilight blinked, looking away shyly, “I didn’t even realize I wanted you until we started dating more…”

“And what made you realize that?” Ascentia asked, lying down next to her, snuggling her.

“Gym class, when I accidentally saw you in your underwear,” Twilight confessed with a blush, “Oh, right… you weren’t supposed to know that. Yeah, I thought you were really… well... attractive and… felt interested in you sexually. I just wasn’t ready…”

Ascentia’s eyes widened and her smile grew wider, “So, goody-goody Twilight was peeping on me in the changing room, was she?”

“Nooo!” Twilight protested, blushing, “It was an accident!”

“And how did this ‘accident’ happen anyway?” Ascentia asked, kissing her cheek.

“I was coming to try and ask if you were ready to go. Before I could say anything, I saw the curtain pulled part way. You came into view and I saw you were in your underwear… I looked away and tried to make it seem like I didn’t see anything,” Twilight admitted.

“Oh, that,” Ascentia smirked, “I thought you meant some other time. I knew you saw me. The blush was pretty telling.”

Twilight pouted, “Fine…”

So, you’ve seen me half naked,” Ascentia smirked, “How about the rest of the way?”

“No… but I’d love to see it,” Twilight blushed, nodding.

“That’s what I was offering,” Ascentia smiled, getting back up and straddling Twilight’s hips again, lifting her own shirt over her head to reveal a dark green bra underneath.

Eager, Twilight lifted her hands toward her, reaching for the clasp of the bra.

“Twilight, have you seen-” Twilight Velvet stopped dead in her tracks as she opened the door and saw her daughter lying on her bed, her pants and panties strewn across the floor, with Ascentia straddling her without a shirt on, “WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!”

“Mom!” Twilight cried in embarrassment, “We’re just… just fornicating!”

“You’re WHAT?!” Twilight Velvet shrieked.

“We’re having sex,” Ascentia said loudly and slowly, “Bumping uglies, rutting, being intimate, making the beast with two backs, I’m fucking your daughter you backward-thinking she-beast.”

Ascentia threw a shoe in her direction, which Twilight Velvet ducked, and Ascentia leapt up and shut the door in her face, turning the deadbolt.

“Open this door right now!” Twilight Velvet hollered.

“Sorry, not into mother and daughter,” Ascentia quipped, leaning against the door.

“Mom, please!” Twilight yelled, “She’s clean! She showed me her medical records last week!”

“I never showed you any medica-I mean yes, what she said!” Ascentia called out.

“I want you out of my house!” Twilight Velvet screamed.

“You sure you’re mother’s not just pissed that I’m a woman?” Ascentia asked, “I’ve been getting that vibe from her.”

“It could be part of it,” Twilight sighed, “Mom, stop it! I know what I’m doing and I can very well make my own decisions!”

“Twilight, you are too young to know about this sort of thing! This woman is manipulating you!” Twilight Velvet shouted through the door.

“She’s older than I am!” Ascentia said, baffled.

“Wait, seriously?” Twilight looked at her with mild surprise, “By how much?”

“Three months?” Ascentia shrugged, “Didn’t do the math right to the day.”

Twilight shrugged, “Close enough, I guess. But seriously, Mom! I’m seventeen, not ten!”

“And seventeen is not an adult!” Twilight Velvet shouted, “Now open this door!”

“Mrs Sparkle, you have about ten seconds to go away or I’m going to start going down on your daughter right in earshot of you,” Ascentia said with a smirk.

“I’ll be eighteen in five months, Mom! Get off my back!” Twilight yelled, “Just go already! I have a right to be with who I choose!”

“Twilight, you’re not thinking clearly!” Twilight Velvet shouted through the door, “You’re hormonal and this woman is taking advantage of you.”

“Eight… seven… six… five… four…” Ascentia called with a widening grin.

Twilight groaned, “She’s not! I’m with her because I want to be! She never manipulated me! I wasn’t even ready for sex at first! But she was understanding and never pressured me! I know this is my first relationship and I realize that! I’m still learning the ins and outs of dating, but I’ll never learn if I don’t try! Ascentia and I care about each other very much, and I really am serious about this. Please, Mom… you were young once, too. You and Dad were high school sweethearts! And you’re still together! Don’t you remember what it was like? Well, now it’s my turn, too…”

“Two… one… time’s up,” Ascentia grabbed Twilight by the shoulders and pushed her against the door, kneeling down in front of her, “Are you leaving, Mrs Sparkle, or you gonna stay and listen?”

“GET OUT OF MY HOUSE YOU WHORE!” Twilight Velvet shrieked.

“Suit yourself,” Ascentia smirked, diving between Twilight’s legs and taking a long lick of her.

“Nnngh…” Twilight squirmed, thankful for the support, or else she’d have collapsed.

Ascentia wrapped her lips around Twilight’s nub, massaging it with her nub while Twilight Velvet pounded on the door.

“YOU GET OFF OF MY DAUGHTER!”

Ascentia pulled her mouth away, “Nope!” and dived back in, pushing her tongue into Twilight’s folds.

Grabbing hold of her head, Twilight moaned louder, the pleasure managing to override her growing heartbreak. Ascentia lifted one of her legs and gave herself better access to Twilight’s folds, lapping away at her as she dipped two fingers into her.

“Twilight, come out of there this instant!”

Ascentia got up and kissed her, undoing her own jeans and letting them fall to the floor. Pulling away and moving back to her bed, Ascentia laid down on it, clad only in her green bra and panties, beckoning her over.

“Oooh…” Twilight murmured, eagerly approaching her bed and smiling brightly. “Hello, pretty girl.”

“Hello,” Ascentia smiled, leaning back and showing herself off for her, “How about you lose the shirt and come join me?”

Nodding, Twilight took off her shirt, placing it aside, then removing her bra. “All gone!”

“Now, why don’t you come over here,” Ascentia smiled, giving her half lidded eyes, “And we’ll see how much you’ve learned.”

“Yes, Master…” Twilight purred, getting onto the bed with her.

“Twilight! Stop this! You’re a good girl!” Twilight Velvet called through the door.

Ascentia ran her hand through her hair, bringing her in for a kiss and stroking her bare shoulder, “Yes, you are a good girl, making me wait,” she smiled warmly, “But you want me, don’t you sweetheart?”

“I-I do want you,” Twilight nodded, blushing heavily.

Ascentia sat up and reached behind her back, unclasping her bra and drawing it off her body, tossing it aside and leaving her chest bare for Twilight to see.

Shuddering a little as Twilight came to realize she was seeing a fully naked woman, in real life, for the first time; she slowly reached out to touch her. Anywhere. First her shoulders, down her arms and along her chest and stomach.

“Wow…” Twilight murmured, taking it all in as her eyes wandered all over, “You’re beautiful…”

“Thank you,” Ascentia said quietly, running her hands along Twilight’s hair, feeling a sense of warmth and satisfaction at hearing Twilight compliment her, “So are you.”

“Thank you too,” Twilight giggled and nuzzled her neck, “I love you.”

“I love you too,” Ascentia said, nuzzling her as she lowered her panties down her legs and laid them aside.

Giggling, Twilight playfully pounced her onto the bed, “Yay! So… wait. Wait. How do we do it? The books never said how two women or men do it…”

Ascentia smiled warmly and shifted her weight, “Here… just hook your leg around mine like… there we go…”

Ascentia helped Twilight change position in such a way that their pelvises were resting against one another.

“And when you’re ready… just rock back and forth,” Ascentia smiled, looking up at her.

Blinking, Twilight took in their position a bit as she made herself comfortable to do so, “Really? For some reason… I think we look like a pair of scissors.”

“A pair of scissors bent over one another, which I don’t think they can do,” Ascentia chuckled, “But it is called scissoring for a reason.”

“I see…” Twilight experimentally rocked her lower body a bit, rubbing against Ascentia’s sex slightly, “Like this?”

Ascentia gave a tiny sigh, “There we are. Just a little faster…”

“Nnnngh…” Twilight moaned, managing to do so as she rocked a little faster.

Ascentia pulled her down to kiss her, rocking her hips in time with her as she raked her fingers over Twilight’s back. Returning the kiss, Twilight angled herself to rub their sexes together as best she possibly could, moaning all the while. She reached over and clutched her shoulders for support, finding utmost tingling pleasure in their new position. Ascentia moaned sharply and dove her tongue into Twilight’s mouth, fisting her fingers into her hair as she rocked against her.

Pulling away from her mouth for a minute, she shallowly breathed, “I was right before… high class restaurants are better than Whoppers…”

“Oh, really?” Twilight licked her lips with a smile, “Glad it compares…”

“It does…” Ascentia moaned, nibbling her bottom lip, “...and I think she’s gone.”

Looking down at the door slat, she could see a stream of light with no twin shadows right against it, indicating her mother was gone.

“Yes, she’s gone.”

“I gotta say, I’ve never had sex with a girl while her mother was listening,” Ascentia chuckled, rocking against her.

“Oh… I see…” Twilight rocked back, “Now, why don’t you keep the talk of your previous sex experiences to a minimum… Especially right now…”

“One more…” Ascentia moaned, “So far… you’re the best. Really.”

A grin spread over Twilight’s pleasured countenance, “Oh, that’s sweet…”

“Mmmm… I’m close, sweetheart,” Ascentia moaned, rocking harder against her.

“Y-Yeah? Me too…” Twilight cooed, breathing heavily as she rocked faster as well.

Ascentia’s breathing hitched as she seized up, grabbing Twilight’s head and kissing her roughly as she shuddered and felt her release boil over, a rush of warmth and she felt her juices leak out over Twilight’s snatch.

“Nnngh-hhnnnnghh!” Twilight moaned, managing to do so as she came, harder than expected.

Ascentia leaned back and sighed, pulling Twilight with her, “Oh… that was lovely.”

Pulling her legs free, Twilight smiled brightly and lay over her, “It definitely was…”

Ascentia smiled and lay underneath her, “Any more ideas, or is that it for you?”

“Well, maybe a little snuggling will get my creative thoughts going…” Twilight winked, nuzzling her nose.

Ascentia grinned and pulled her tightly against her, running her hands over her back as she turned them to spoon her. Kissing the back of her head, “That’s always nice.”

“I know… Snuggling is a perk I definitely didn’t know I missed,” Twilight giggled, closing her eyes.

“I always liked girls shorter than me,” Ascentia smirked, “Easier to do this with.”

“Oh, so you like that I can’t reach your shoulders, but my head fits under your chin?” Twilight teased.

“Mmmhmm,” Ascentia smiled, wrapping her arms tighter around her and moaning happily, “You’re so cuddle-able.”

“That’s not a word…” Twilight laughed, leaning back against her.

“Fine. You’re small, you’re cute, you’re warm, and I want to fucking snuggle you,” Ascentia said with a laugh.

“Wonderful,” Twilight giggled, “The feeling is mutual. Except that you’re not small, you’re more beautiful than cute and you smell.”

“I smell?” Ascentia asked with an eyebrow raised.

Twilight laughed, “I’m kidding on that. You do smell. But very nice, actually. Like lilacs and fresh cotton.”

“I don’t know how that happens,” Ascentia laughed, nuzzling her hair as she hugged her, “I’m not exactly one for scented bath products.”

“Must be your natural body scent or something,” Twilight giggled.

Ascentia buried her nose in Twilight’s hair, taking a deep whiff, “You smell like… roses,” she took another whiff and moaned softly, “Mmmm, that’s so good…”

“It’s my favourite shampoo,” Twilight smiled.

“And you taste like chocolate,” Ascentia smiled, nuzzling her again, “That’s two of my favorite things in one sexy little package.”

“Oh darling, you flatter me,” Twilight teased, grinning widely.

Ascentia grinned back, running a hand over her stomach, “Then that means it’s working.”

“Yes, yes it is…”

Ascentia stroked her face and smiled, “Twilight?”

“Mmm-hmm?” Twilight opened one eye.

“I’m glad you made me wait,” Ascentia smiled, nuzzling her as she settled the covers over the both of them, “I love you.”

“I love you too, I’m glad we waited,” Twilight smiled all the more and nestled against her.

The two girls smiled, both blushing as they felt the weighty burden of sleep overcome them.

Fuck It, It's Cheesy

Sitting in class one afternoon, Twilight could barely hear the teacher as the lesson was going on. All she could think of was anything else. This was definitely something, especially since her notebook, open in front of her, was blank. Completely blank.

She wrung her hands nervously, fidgeting in her seat, looking all around herself.

‘We’ve been together a few months now… Almost half a year… We’ve been sleeping together almost as long as we’ve been together… And everything’s… changed. Just changed! What’s going to happen now? Most high school sweethearts don’t even stay together! We’re graduating in four months! What about college? What if she wants more out of me? What if she wants to get married, like right now? What do I do? Why did we even do it… I feel so confused! So… oh my gosh… And the kids are staring at me! They won’t stop talking about us! Why aren’t we yesterday’s news?!’

That likely had something to do with the fact that Ascentia had a habit of keeping herself in the minds of everyone around her. She was intimidating, she was aggressive, and had a habit of reacting to others with outright hostility. And since Twilight was almost always hanging off of her, the fact that she was dating the school’s resident “thug” was something that people always talked about.

Twilight glanced around the classroom once more, catching a few stares, most of which looked away when they saw her looking. She exhaled, tapping her pen against her notebook.

‘It just gets more and more attention… What next? Am I going to have to be pulled out of school again? Leave behind all my friends?’

“Is something wrong, Darling?” Rarity asked from behind her.

“Nope! No, not at all!” Twilight said quickly, shaking her head.

“Twilight, I’ve known you too long to believe that,” Rarity said softly, “What is it?”

“It’s nothing, I’m just… Just, I don’t know! I don’t know what to do,” Twilight lamented.

“About what, darling?” Rarity said reassuringly.

“Everything…” Twilight’s head fell onto her desk.

Rarity sighed. There were times where Twilight’s inability to simply spit out what was bothering her wore on all of them. It often felt as if Twilight enjoyed dragging out her troubles, as was evidenced by Rainbow having to threaten her with a caffeinated Pinkie Pie just to get her to stop making excuses and go talk to Ascentia so many months ago.

“Twilight, what specifically is bothering you, sweetheart?” Rarity asked.

“I don’t know, that’s the problem. I’m sick of the attention I’m getting where it’s not warranted, I don’t know where my relationship is going, and I feel more stressed about everything,” Twilight sighed, shaking her head.

“I thought your relationship was going wonderfully,” Rarity said, concerned, “Whatever is the problem?”

Twilight stared down at her notebook, idly doodling on one of the pages, “I just feel like everything changed after we slept together. Sure, at first I thought it was just the new step we took coming into effect. Now I just feel… strange, I don’t know why. I almost feel like we should’ve waited longer, like maybe it shouldn’t have happened. My mother barely talks to me, Ascentia pisses her off even when I ask her not to. Everyone talks about us… I just feel stressed and like I don’t know what to do or where to go.”

“Can’t you talk to your father? Or Shining or Cadance?” Rarity asked, “I’m certain they could help you.”

“They do, they really do, but it’s just… she’s my mother,” Twilight murmured.

“What is your mother’s problem with Ascentia anyway?” Rarity asked.

“She keeps saying that Ascentia manipulates me, will leave me hanging, is a whore, and all that backwards nonsense,” she said.

Rarity balked, “That’s horrible! I had no idea your mother was so… uncouth!”

“Not the first time it’s happened,” Twilight muttered, “Cadance had the same treatment, and she’s a Princess!”

“How… how does Ascentia deal with that?” Rarity asked.

“Purposely pissing her off. It was cute at first, now it’s getting old and it really doesn’t help because Mom gives me lectures afterward. I’ve asked her to stop doing that, but she doesn’t.”

“Goodness,” Rarity put a hand to her mouth, “Oh Twilight… I had no idea things were so rough… are you going to try and push through it or…” she trailed off, hoping Twilight would catch her meaning.

“I don’t even know anymore…” Twilight confessed, holding her head in her hands.

Rarity pursed her lips, seeing Twilight’s tendency for theatrics poking through and decided to nip it in the bud, “Twilight, I think what you should do first and foremost is talk to Ascentia about where your relationship might be going. Then you should talk to your mother. Calmly, and without Ascentia to provoke her. You do love Ascentia, right?”

“Of course I do,” Twilight said without hesitation, “You’re right, Rarity. I should talk to them about this. I just hope it helps.”

“Good. Now no more hysterics, darling,” Rarity said, laying a hand on her shoulder, “That’s my thing.”

Twilight giggled, placing her hand over hers, “Wouldn’t have it any other way, Rarity.”

“Hey Teacher’s Pet’s Pet!” a girl called out as she passed Ascentia in the hall, “How’s the-WAH!”

The girl tripped on Ascentia’s outstretched foot and was sent face first into the floor.

“Really? Six months and there are still people who don’t get it?” Ascentia asked.

“Hey,” Twilight came into view moments later, “We need to talk.”

Ascentia suddenly got a nervous look on her face, “About what?”

“Something is wrong here. I don’t even know where to start…” Twilight looked down at the floor, “You know I love you, right? It’s just… I’m wondering if that’s even enough.”

“What do you mean?” Ascentia asked, moving closer to her and running a hand over her shoulder, “What is it that’s wrong?”

“I just, I feel stressed out! Mom won’t get off my case, everyone still stares and makes rumours about us, it’s like I can’t sit back and enjoy what we have! I tried ignoring them, didn’t work. I tried telling on them, nothing happened. It’s never-ending!”

“The others aren’t an issue,” Ascentia waved, “High school is hell. Those who say otherwise are probably the reason it’s hell. But that ends, and in four months no less. On the other hand… I don’t know what to do about your mother. I’ve… never met someone so… insane.”

“I’m going to try talking to her, but please, for the love of Celestia, stop tormenting her. It’s not funny anymore and it gets me in trouble. I know you’re a practical joker and everything, but it needs to stop. It’s not helping,” Twilight pleaded.

Ascentia sighed, “Alright. I promise, I won’t antagonize her anymore.”

“Thank you. Now, look… I need to ask you something,” Twilight fiddled with her notebooks nervously, “You haven’t felt any… different in the past few months, have you?”

“I’ve felt good overall,” Ascentia smiled, “Lighter… elated. Why?”

“Just wondering…” Twilight shifted her weight from one foot to the other.

“Have you been… having doubts?” Ascentia asked.

“No, not entirely. I just… I’m not even sure what’s going to happen now, what to do or where we’re going,” she admitted, looking down.

“What do you mean?” Ascentia asked, having never encountered this before, her previous relationships lasting a few days at the most.

“That’s the problem, I don’t know!” Twilight exclaimed.

“Well if you don’t know… why worry?” Ascentia asked.

“Don’t you think I wish I could stop worrying? But it’s like all of a sudden I’m worried that I made the wrong decisions or tackled things too soon!”

Ascentia pulled her into a hug, “Calm down, Twilight. I don’t know where this is going. Nor do I want to. Will we be together another few weeks? Months? Years? I don’t know. Will we break up? Stay together? Get married? I don’t know. I’m seventeen, I don’t need to know. I know I don’t regret anything, and that I love you. That sounds cheesy but… fuck it, it’s cheesy.”

“I love you too… I just hope we’re doing the right thing. The last thing I want is for either of us to get hurt,” Twilight hugged her back.

“Oh Twilight,” Ascentia joked, “I’m six foot three, what harm could you possibly do to me?”

Twilight bit her lip, unable to respond to that.

“I’m just playing, sweetheart,” Ascentia said warmly, kissing the top of her head.

“Okay,” Twilight murmured with a little nod, relaxing a bit.

Three girls passed them in the hall while they were hugging, two of them gave a quiet “Awwwwww!”

Squirming a bit from the attention, Twilight could at least find solace in the fact they found it cute.

“So, you’re going to go talk to your mother?” Ascentia asked.

“Yes, yes I am.”

“I hope she comes around,” Ascentia said quietly.

Twilight nodded, “Me too.”

Walking into the house after school left Twilight with a feeling of dread. She knew what she had to do, but the question was being able to at all. Not thinking of the result and just letting it happen was getting increasingly difficult. But the more she thought about it, the more she knew that she had to say something. She had to try letting her own mother know how she felt.

Going into the kitchen, she found her mother there, preparing that evening’s dinner. Exhaling, she slowly walked in.

“I’m home, Mom,” she said casually.

“Hello, Twilight,” Twilight Velvet said stiffly, dropping some vegetables into a pot of boiling water.

Crestfallen, Twilight almost wanted to retreat then and there, but knew she wouldn’t gather the nerve to do it again later. “Mom… Can I talk to you, please?”

“Of course,” she said, not turning around, “What is it?”

“Mom… I really, really don’t want to get into something here, but I just need to know. Why don’t you like Ascentia at all? I-I don’t mean to be confrontational, I just want to know why you don’t feel comfortable with her,” Twilight managed, keeping her voice steady.

“She is a bad influence on you, Twilight,” Twilight Velvet said stiffly, “She’s carrying this phase of yours farther than it should be going, and I’ve heard stories about how violent she is at school.”

Twilight nodded, “Fair enough, Mom. I’ll admit that I get really concerned about her violent tendencies. I try to keep her in line and tell her to calm down a bit as best I can. But I can assure you with all my heart that she has never raised her hand at me. I’m not hiding any bruises or scars whatsoever.”

“Be that as it may, you’re eighteen now Twilight. It’s time to stop this silly phase and grow up,” Twilight Velvet said, rolling her eyes.

“I’m not going through a phase, Mom,” Twilight said evenly, “Look, it’s not as if I’m eloping with her or anything. She’s my first girlfriend and probably not my last. I don’t do drugs, I’m not sleeping around, only with her, I’m not sneaking out at night, or anything. She’s just my girlfriend, that’s all. We hang out, we go out on dates, and we occasionally have sex. You have nothing to worry about. Now I know she agitates you and believe me, I’ve told her to stop. Even I think that’s unfair. But please, I just want you to know that this really hurts me. I do love you Mom, and I know you just want to look out for me. But I am a growing woman and I do need the freedom to make my own decisions. Please… I’m not asking you to be her best friend or anything like that. I just want you to understand that this is my life and my choice, and that I’m happy with her.”

Twilight Velvet turned around, a dismissive look on her face, “Well if you’re so happy, why do you care what I think? If you want freedom to make your own choices, then leave and make your choices. But so long as you live in my house, you’ll do what I say. And what I say is that that woman is not welcome around here, or around you. Understand?”

“Mom… I do care about what you think. I’m not going to shut down your opinions just because I disagree with them,” Twilight pleaded, “Mom… please. Don’t do this. I know this is a lot of adjusting for you, and I understand. I’m not exactly going through this very easily. You didn’t have to cut me off…”

“You heard me Twilight,” Twilight Velvet snapped, turning back around and resuming her cooking.

“Mom, I can’t right now. I still have to finish school. But I’ll be going back to Canterlot for private college study… So I’ll leave then…” Twilight turned, hiding her tears and going to leave the room.

“Hey Twiley, how’s it-” Shining stopped her in her tracks, “Whoa, what’s wrong?”

Twilight wiped her eyes, “I can’t get through to Mom… And until I leave after graduation… I don’t know what else to do.”

“Ignore Mom, she pulled the same crap with Cadance,” Shining said, hugging her, “The two of you make an adorable couple.”

Smiling, Twilight hugged him back, “Thanks… I’m glad some of you support us.”

Shining kissed the top of her head, “I’m always here for you, so is Dad, and so is Cadance.”

“I know, I appreciate it,” Twilight smiled brightly.

Shining smiled and let go of her, “No more crying, okay?”

“Okay, Shining,” she giggled, wiping her eyes. “Not when my awesome BBBFF is around!”

Shining smiled and left, heading to the den.

Oh God, Why Did I Say That?

Everyone in the classroom stared with their eyes wide, jaws dropped, and completely silent as Twilight walked in the room. So they should’ve been. If anyone were to stick a high school stereotype label on her, “nerd” would have been the first choice. She tended to wear very conservative “nerdy” clothing, clothes even today’s fashions would find dreary. But she never cared, she liked the style and found them to be comfortable. Usually they consisted of a shade of purple, her favourite colour.

Today, however, was not one of those days.

Right now she was dressed in something that barely crossed the line of the school’s dress code. A hot pink tank top matching her star necklace, short shorts, pure black knee-high punk boots, punky wristbands, and no bra. It was even possible she wasn’t wearing panties. On top of her getup, she even splattered on some flashy, dark makeup. But the most telling thing of all was her hair. It had once been fairly long, just barely reaching the small of her back.

Her hair was now chopped, barely passing her neck, and was scruffy and a bit spiked at the bottoms.

“Hey,” she greeted coolly, smirking at her classmates as she swayed to her seat.

“Twilight…” Rarity balked, part of her mind breaking at the ghastly sight before her, “W-what have you done?!”

“Do you like it?” Twilight sat in her seat, provocatively, as she faced her friend with a cool smile.

“Well… I don’t… why did you do this?” she asked, giving a wide eye to the way she was seated.

Twilight stretched and crossed one leg over the other, “It was time for a change. Time to really live!”

“But… your lovely hair… you chopped it off…” Rarity seemed to be having a mini panic attack, as she always did when she saw people in Twilight’s current manner of dress, “And… darling, are you even wearing underwear?”

“Want to look and see?” Twilight purred, leaning toward her.

Rarity was calmed a little, knowing Twilight had to be messing with her. There was no way the girl would show her in class, “Sure. Let’s see,” she said with a smirk.

With a wide smirk, Twilight made sure no one else was looking, before grabbing Rarity’s hand and placing it down the waistline of her shorts, “Feel any? Want to go look deeper?”

Rarity’s heart pounded in her chest at Twilight’s boldness, but didn’t feel any sort of cloth under her shorts. Still, women often wore low-hanging panties, she she was sure the woman was still bluffing, “Sure,” she said, ‘Oh god, why did I say that?!’

“Wow, you’re a bad girl yourself, Rarity,” Twilight cooed, bringing her hand lower, just along her hip.

There was no doubt about it now. Rarity ripped her hand back, and laid it over her chest, “T-Twilight, you shouldn’t have… you have a girlfriend!” she said quietly, breathing sharply.

“Maybe, but little Twilight Sparkle is dead. Today is the dawn of a new era,” Twilight winked, then around in her seat. Though not to study. She sat back and proceeded to file her ebony nails.

“But… why do this all of a sudden? What brought this on?” Rarity asked, her shock dissipating.

“I’m sick of the way I’m treated by my mother, I’m sick of everyone else thinking they can walk all over me. Well, today, I’m going to let them know I won’t tolerate it! I’m not a little girl anymore, Rarity. I’m not a shut-in nerd. I’m a real woman, a woman who makes her own choices! I won’t answer to anything again, because I will make my own authority,” Twilight replied.

Rarity balked, “My goodness, Twilight… I don’t even know what to say…” she leaned her forehead against her hand, only to feel something warm and damp. Leaning her head back, she saw two of her fingers glistening. Her eyes widening in horror, she slowly turned her head to Twilight, “This better not be…”

“What’s wrong, Rare-bear?” Twilight purred, using Pinkie’s usual nickname for her.

“Do… do you have a napkin or something?” Rarity asked shakily.

Giggling, Twilight tossed her a handkerchief from her pocket. Rarity wiped her fingers and quickly handed her back the handkerchief, blushing furiously.

“Hey girls, what’s with-” Rainbow stared, blinking, “...Who’s this punky Twilight knockoff?”

“That is Twilight,” Rarity said, her breath shaking.

Twilight chuckled, “Hey, Rainbow Dash. How’s it hangin’, dude?”

Rainbow balked, taking a step back, “Who the fuck are you and what did you do with Twilight?!”

“Twilight’s going through a rebel phase,” Rarity said, trying to steady her breath, “She’s not very… good at it.”

“What’s gotten you so shaken?” Rainbow asked.

“Twilight put my… hand down her shorts,” Rarity said, flushing.

“Say WHAT?!” Rainbow gaped, wide-eyed. She looked at Twilight again, biting her lip, looking toward where Fluttershy was sitting, then sat in her own seat, “Shit… This is bad.”

“It’s my fault,” Rarity said, not looking at either of them, “I called her bluff… she wasn’t bluffing…”

“Yikes…” Rainbow said, shifting back a little. “I think I’m gonna steer clear.”

“Probably for the best,” Rarity said, “I’ll stay close, see if I can get her down from this.”

Rainbow nodded, glancing toward Twilight again, “Not gonna lie, she wears it really hot, but fuck that, it’s not her. I’d take Twilight the eggheaded nerd over…. THAT any day.”

“I agree,” Rarity nodded, “She’s certainly… exotic… but it’s not our Twilight. Twilight, are you sure you don’t need help with anything?”

The girl in question peered at them over her shoulder, “Nah, I’m good. Actually, can I borrow a pencil? Forgot mine in my locker.”

Rainbow’s jaw dropped again, “...Did I step into the Twilight Zone or something?”

Rarity handed her a pencil, “Here you are, dear.”

“Thanks, you’re a peach,” Twilight took the pencil and turned back around. Then proceeded to use the pencil as a toothpick.

Rarity made a slightly uncomfortable face, and turned back to her desk while Rainbow faced the front. Looking down at her hand, she brought her fingers up to her nose and gave a small sniff, an action that did not go unnoticed by Twilight.

“Rowr,” Twilight said playfully.

“Twilight…” Rarity couldn’t believe she was asking this, “...If I hadn’t pulled my hand away… what would you have done?”

“Who knows, Rare-bear. Call me as unpredictable as anything,” Twilight winked.

“I’m outta here! Hey, Fluttershy! You need help over there?” Rainbow immediately stood and crossed the room.

“Bye bye,” Twilight waved after her, snickering, “Soooo, you like what ya smelled?”

“I… yes, but that’s beside the point,” Rarity huffed.

Giggling, Twilight winked and turned back around to face the front, still using the pencil as a toothpick.

Walking up toward her locker, Twilight smirked as she saw Ascentia gathering things from her own locker. With her back to her, Twilight snuck up, and gave her a firm slap on the rear.

“Hey there, babe,” she purred.

“What the hell was-Twilight?!” Ascentia balked as she turned around, “What the hell did you do to yourself?!”

Unfazed, Twilight did a little twirl, “You like what you see, babe?”

“...Some of it,” she said, looking at her clothes, “Others not so much,” she added, looking at her hair and makeup.

Twilight stopped, “And what’s wrong with the not so much?”

“You’re a little heavy on the makeup, and not sure I’m a fan of your hair,” Ascentia said, stepping back a little bit.

“Awww, too bad!” Twilight mocked, “Little nerdy Twilight Sparkle is fucking dead! Meet the new Twilight! ...Actually, no, Twilight Sparkle sounds stupid. Call me… Dusk.”

“I’m not going to call you Dusk,” Ascentia said flatly, “And why did you kill little nerdy Twilight Sparkle?”

“Because she’s had enough of being a kid and treated like a little mat. I’m not taking that crap any longer!” Twilight said, hands on her hips, “If Mom thinks I’m so reckless, fuck that then! I will be! It’s time I started living and stopped being such a nerdy shut-in!”

Ascentia backed up against her locker. She was severely conflicted by this. On the one had, gutsy, provocative Twilight was really hot. But on the other hand she liked flustered, nerdy Twilight. Flustered, nerdy Twilight was who she fell in love with.

Taking a deep breath, she sighed, “Okay… so what do you intend to do?”

“I intend, my dear,” Twilight came right up and pinned her against the locker, “to take you out of that lame class and into the bathroom.”

“I don’t have to go to the bathroom, Twilight,” Ascentia said, knowing full well what Twilight meant.

Twilight rolled her eyes, “Who said anything about needing to piss or shit?”

Ascentia pushed back against her, separating her back from the metal, “I was hoping to dissuade you, you’re not yourself today.”

“For your information, I’m fine!” Twilight said defensively, “God, weren’t you listening?! I’m not the same little nerdy shit that I used to be! Get used to it, sweetheart, because this is how it’s going to be.”

Ascentia sighed, “Alright… are you too cool to hug me anymore?”

“No,” Twilight said, and hugged her. All while taking a moment to feel her up.

Ascentia jumped, not used to others taking the initiative with her, “Twilight, we’re at school.”

“Yeah? So?” Twilight said, unabashed by that.

“So? You can’t just feel me up in the hallway, it’s dangerous,” Ascentia hissed.

Twilight snorted, “Dangerous? You’re acting like we’re in No Man’s Land in World War Two or something.”

“So, what? Were you planning on taking me right against my locker or something?” Ascentia snorted in return.

“That’d be fucking cool, but I’m not gonna,” Twilight let her go, “What do you think the bathroom’s for?”

Ascentia saw a chance to knock Twilight down a peg and took it, “Oh, so the new daring Twilight’s gonna play it safe, is she?”

“Uh, what? Come on, I’m not that stupid!” Twilight rolled her eyes.

Ascentia looked from one end of the hall to the other, and smirked, “I don’t see anyone, do you?”

‘If she calls your bluff, you are screwed.’

‘In what sense of the phrase?’

‘Both.’

“No, but let’s not. We’re going to the bathroom, babe,” Twilight reached to grab her wrist.

“Um, Twilight…? Hi, I brought the DVD you loaned me…” Came Fluttershy’s voice.

Sparking, Twilight turned around and smirked, “Hey there, Fluttercutie. Want to join us?”

“H-Huh? But, I have class… For what?”

“Fucking, of course, come on…” Twilight grabbed her by the waist, “I always thought you were cute. Forget Dash, she doesn’t know what you want. Come with us…”

Fluttershy’s eyes widened in fright as she tried to get away, “N-No! Please, let me go! I-I don’t want that! I’m sorry! Please let go…”

“Come on, I know you want it…” Twilight held her tighter.

“No!” Fluttershy yelled, batting her fists against her chest, “L-Let go of me!”

Ascentia pulled back, digging her feet against the floor and bringing the three of them to a halt, “Twilight, let her go, now.”

“Oh don’t be such a stick in the mud,” Twilight smirked, trying to pull them along.

Ascentia wrenched her arm out of Twilight’s grip, and pulled her away from Fluttershy, nodding to her to leave. Doing so, Fluttershy fled and hurried around the corner as quick as she could.

“Jeez, what’s up with you two?” Twilight wanted to know.

Ascentia grabbed her by the shirt and dragged her around the corner, into the nearest bathroom and shoved her back against the stall.

“Listen to me. I get that you’re going through an identity crisis, and the stress from everything these last few months has finally gotten to you. I get that, I understand that,” Ascentia said with a snarl, “But if you ever pull a stunt like that again, I will beat the fucking tar out of you. Are we clear?”

“Okay, okay, jeez!” Twilight pushed away from her, smoothing her shirt, “God, what are you trying to do, act like you can control me?!”

“No, but you almost committed sexual assault at school,” Ascentia growled.

“Seriously? Come on. Fluttershy’s just being Fluttershy! She does that all the time when she experiences something new! She’d have warmed up to it,” Twilight rolled her eyes, “I wasn’t gonna hurt her or rape her!”

“I don’t care, she was terrified,” Ascentia said flatly, “If you’re going to flaunt yourself around, great. That can be hot. But you’ll respect other’s boundaries. Are we clear?”

Twilight let out a frustrated groan, “Oh, come on! Fine, fine! Jeez, when did you get so controlling?”

“My parents are in law enforcement,” Ascentia replied, “I’d appreciate it if you kept the felonies to a minimum, or you’ll get me in a lot of trouble.”

“Fine, whatever, no-fun Mackenzie…” Twilight sighed, going to the door, “And forget about fucking, my lady boner’s gone now.”

“I had no intention on it,” Ascentia quipped, beating her to the door and storming down the hall, looking to find Fluttershy and apologize to her.

“Whatever,” Twilight muttered as she went out the door as well.

“Fluttershy!” Ascentia called, spotting her sitting on a bench with her knees to her chest.

In response, Fluttershy drew her head against her knees, shaking in fear.

“Fluttershy, it’s only me,” Ascentia said soothingly, sitting next to her and putting an arm around her shoulders, “I’m sorry about that, I have no idea what’s gotten into her.”

“She tried to… rape… me….” Fluttershy whimpered, “What’s wrong with her… Why would she do that…”

“I don’t know,” Ascentia said calmly, rocking her, “Her mother’s shit finally got to her. She’s not right in the head. Are you going to be okay?”

“Yes…” Fluttershy murmured, sniffling, “I just… I want our friend back… I want the Twilight we know… This new Twilight is terrifying…”

“I do too, Fluttershy,” Ascentia said, hugging her, “Do you want to… report her?”

“N-No… I can’t do that to her…” Fluttershy shook her head, “I-I know that’s not like her… She’s not a bad person…”

“Alright,” Ascentia said, letting go of her, “Why don’t you go find Rainbow and get yourself some tea?”

Sniffling, Fluttershy nodded, “Okay. Thank you… for helping me. If you hadn’t been there…” her voice trailed off.

“You’d have kicked her ass,” Ascentia smirked, “I know how you get when you’re really scared.”

“I-I don’t know…” Fluttershy admitted, biting her lip.

Ascentia nodded, turned and left, her jacket billowing behind her.

“Well hell-o, lovely,” Twilight smiled as she approached Rarity in the sewing studio, bringing her arms around her waist from behind, “What are you making there?”

“I’m… making sweaters for everyone,” Rarity said, squirming against Twilight’s grip, “Why are you here?”

“Bored,” Twilight smiled, “Physics was just soooo boring. Decided I’d come scope out my friends and have a little fun.”

“And would that be old Twilight’s idea of fun, or new Twilight’s idea of fun?” Rarity asked.

“New, duh,” Twilight rolled her eyes, “Old Twilight’s dead. And I’m Dusk, by the way. Dusk.”

“Dusk?!” Rarity balked, “Wherever did you get that from?”

“Does it matter? Twilight Sparkle? Come on, that just sounds like something out of that shitty excuse for a vampire book series,” Twilight rolled her eyes, “No, Dusk sounds much cooler. More dark, mysterious, and not to be tampered with. Twilight’s for little girls. Dusk, is for women.”

“If you say so, Dusk,” Rarity said, shaking her head, then realizing what Twilight had come in for. Looking around, she saw the studio was empty except for her and Twilight, “Uh-oh…”

“I know, that was a silly game show,” Twilight chuckled, turning her around, “So, Rare-bear… You want a little taste of Dusk?”

Rarity bit her lip hard. Ever since Twilight’s stunt in class, she’d been thinking about her. There was something about Twilight’s newfound bravery that she found highly alluring, even though she’d never had an interest in women before.

“I must say Twi-Dusk, it sounds… tempting…” Rarity stammered, not looking directly at her.

“Yeah, that’s it… A pretty little socialite like you, come on… You definitely want a bad girl,” Twilight purred.

Rarity groaned a little, “Y-yes… I do…”

Grinning maniacally, she then pushed Rarity onto a table and straddled her, licking her lips, “Well, my little Princess, then I guess your wish is granted.”

Rarity’s mind was still at war with itself as she tried to convince herself to put a stop to this.

‘She’s your best friend! She has a girlfriend, stop her!’

‘C’mon, she wants it, you want it, live a little! Nobody has to know!’

Unfortunately for Rarity, the side of her that was easier to give in to won, “What are you going to do with me, Twi-Dusk?”

“Hmm…. I’ll let you call me Twi-Dusk… That works fine. As for what I’m going to do to you…” Twilight licked her lips again, running her hand along Rarity’s thigh, “I’m gonna show everything Miss Nag showed me…”

“Dusk… aren’t you… cheating on Ascentia?” Rarity said, moaning from Twilight’s hand.

“We’re not married, Rare,” Twilight told her, “Besides, not like she’s gonna care. She’s off being her old stick-in-the-mud self, anyway.”

Against all of her better judgement, Rarity nodded, “Alright… show me.”

Nodding, Twilight leaned in, about to meet her lips. But that was when loud footsteps entered the room and her arm was grabbed, wrenching her off Rarity and the table.

“Twilight! I heard about what you did to Fluttershy! What the fuck is wrong with you?!” Rainbow Dash demanded, “And what are you doing to Rarity?!”

Rarity bolted up, her face flushed at being caught, “What?! What did she do to Fluttershy?!”

“She didn’t tell you?” Rainbow asked, but shook her head, “I’ll tell you what she did! She tried to force her into a threesome with her and Ascentia!”

“I didn’t force her! I was suggesting it and she wasn’t into it, how was I to know she didn’t want it?” Twilight protested.

Rainbow glared at her with pure venom, “Fuck off… She told me you grabbed her, didn’t let her go, she got scared and tried to tell you no… And that’s not attempted rape?! You almost raped her! I have half a mind to fucking punch you right now! You don’t touch my friend like that! And now you’re going on to cheat on Ascentia with Rarity?! Trying to drag her into your stupid mess?! Who… the fuck are you? I don’t even know you anymore! The Twilight we know would never hurt her friends like this!”

Rarity looked horrifed as she looked from Twilight to Rainbow Dash, “My goodness… what did I almost do?!”

“Gee, thanks, Rainbow Dash… I thought you were supposed to be the cool one,” Twilight rolled her eyes.

This only served to make her angrier, “Shut your stinking mouth, bitch!”

Rarity straightened her clothes and put herself between the two of them, “Girls, please! Let’s just… everyone calm down. Is Fluttershy okay?”

Huffing, Rainbow nodded, “Yes. I took her home.”

“Was Ascentia part of the whole thing?” Rarity asked, wondering if the two had tried to gang up on her.

Rainbow shook her head, “No. Ascentia actually stopped Twilight and got Fluttershy away from her. She even talked to Fluttershy earlier to calm her down.”

Rarity sighed in relief, “So… now what do we do?”

“I for one am getting out of here,” Twilight pushed past the two and headed to the door.

“Twilight, if you don’t stop this stupid crap, don’t think you’ll be so lucky next time!” Rainbow threatened. “I don’t know what you did with our Twilight, but we want her back!”

“Should… should I tell Ascentia about what just happened?” Rarity asked, looking to Rainbow Dash, “I… I gave in to her… I feel horrible…”

“I think you should. She’s the voice of reason with her right now…” Rainbow sighed, shaking her head, “If this keeps up, we’re fucked.”

“Ascentia?” Rarity asked, knocking on the door to the empty classroom she was in, “I need to talk to you…”

“Come on in,” Ascentia said absently, closing her notebook, “What’s up, Rares?”

“It’s Twilight. I… I certainly don’t wish to speak ill of her, but… I’m afraid she’s out of control,” Rarity said, biting her lip, “I certainly didn’t help matters. She…. attempted to seduce me. I wish I could say I stopped her, but I couldn’t. I found myself tempted and gave in… Thankfully, Rainbow Dash interrupted before anything happened. I… I am so sorry. I thought it better to tell you the truth of it.”

She expected Ascentia to sigh. She expected her to get angry. She even expected her to shout at her. What she hadn’t expected, however, was Ascentia’s face to fall and a pained look cross her face. She looked genuinely hurt.

“She… she tried to cheat on me?” Ascentia asked slowly, her voice cracking a bit.

Placing a hand on her shoulder, Rarity nodded, “I’m afraid so, dear. She didn’t even care. That’s just terrible… I am so sorry.”

Ascentia looked down at her notebook, her hair obscuring her face, “I knew she was going through a nasty streak but… that hurts…”

“I certainly wish I knew what was going on in her head…” Rarity lamented, giving her a hug around the shoulders, “But don’t you worry. We’ll figure a way to help her. She can’t possibly go on like this.”

“Rarity…” Ascentia took a shaky breath and tried to steady herself, “I don’t know what to do anymore… I don’t know how to get through to her. This all started because her idiot mother had to… that’s it!”

“What’s it, darling?” Rarity asked.

“All this shit started because Twilight’s mom was being an ignorant little shit,” Ascentia said, “She had plenty of time to wise up on her own, let’s go down there and make her wise up.”

“All of us?”

“You expect me to go alone?” Ascentia asked, “I’ll probably get shot.”

Rarity shook her head, “Of course not, dear. Let’s gather the girls and we’ll go there first thing this evening.”

“Thanks, Rarity,” Ascentia said, standing up and moving to leave, before she stopped, “And… thank you for telling me.”

Smiling, Rarity nodded, “Of course. I admit I wasn’t sure what to do, but I knew it to be a far better idea to hear it from me. The last thing I wanted was to make this even harder than it is.”

The girls had a plan. One that had taken some time to convince Rarity to go along with. It was no surprise to any of them that Twilight was currently nursing a huge attraction to her, so they’d put her on the stop to get her the help she needed. The plan was to get Twilight Velvet to unleash the wrath of god onto her daughter. Rainbow and Fluttershy were going to lure her into a classroom that Rarity and Twilight would just happen to be in at the time, with Twilight getting Rarity to get friendlier with her.

Rarity had found the idea of touching her friend in such a way to be going too far, but the others had managed to get it through to her that it wasn’t going to kill her, and that Twilight needed help.

She waited in the classroom, nervously awaiting the plan’s execution.

Meanwhile, in the hallway, Twilight was heading down the corridor, still as lost as ever within her new persona. She marched on with confidence, looking smug as she did so, winking at anyone who passed her.

At least until her arm was grabbed from the side, surprising her.

“Hey! What’s the big idea?” She protested, trying to pull away.

Rarity pulled her into the classroom, putting on a face of looking irritated with her. The intention was to get Twilight to repeat the same stunt she’d pulled the other day only further so there’d be time for Velvet to catch her.

“Twilight, please. We need to talk about this,” Rarity said in a soft voice, “You’re not yourself.”

“This again?!” Twilight pulled her arm away, “Will you girls just get off my back already?! I’ve told you once, I told you a thousand times, Twilight Sparkle is dead! Gone! No more! Nada! Niente! Zilch! Nein! Rien! No! It’s over! When are you going to get that through your thick skull?! I thought you were supposed to be beauty and brains.”

Rarity looked away, “I just… needed to be sure that you were serious, I guess… I just worry about you, that’s all. You can understand, can’t you? You made this change so quickly, it scared a lot of us.”

“Yeah, well, not my problem!” Twilight turned and headed toward the door, “If you’re just gonna be like that, I’m leaving!”

“Twilight wait, I’m sorry, I just-” Rarity looked down toward her shorts, “Please tell me you’re at least wearing underwear today?”

Now confused, Twilight turned around, “What the hell does that have to do with anything?”

“You know me, Twilight,” Rarity said, cocking an eyebrow, “I’m very concerned about people’s dignity.”

“Whatever,” Twilight rolled her eyes, “Like I care what anyone else thinks.”

“But are you?” Rarity asked, “Please Twilight, I’d feel a lot better if you just answered me.”

“I happen to be wearing a thong!” Twilight said irritably, “Unless you’re asking to see it, quit badgering me about it!”

“And… what if I was asking to see it?” Rarity asked, biting her lip ‘Twilight better appreciate this when she’s back to normal...’

Twilight faced her again, “Seriously?”

Rarity bit her lip again, remembering that she had to keep Twilight there for a good twenty minutes, “Y-Yes.”

“Well!” Twilight gave a smirk, “That’s a bit more like it. Anything else you want to see, Rare-bear?”

“Y-yes,” Rarity said shakily, “I’m sorry Twilight, I just… can’t stop thinking about the other day and… and yesterday…”

Licking her lips, Twilight approached and placed her hands on her waist, “Well, glad to hear it. Ever since Naggy McStick-In-The-Mud’s been lamer than lame, it’ll be nice to get a little action here.”

Rarity’s eyes momentarily shifted to the clock. Nineteen minutes.

‘Looks like you’ll have to get a little messy, Rarity,’ she thought, running her fingers along Twilight’s bare stomach, “S-same here… you wanted us to call you D-Dusk, right?”

“Yes, Dusk,” Twilight smirked, bringing her closer, “Glad one of you gets it.”

“So… I’ve never been with a woman before,” Rarity said shakily, “H-how do we p-proceed?”

“That depends what you want from me,” Twilight winked, running her fingers along her back.

Rarity groaned, and decided she may as well try and enjoy herself, “K-kiss me…”

Grinning, Twilight obliged and kissed her passionately. She held her closer, bringing the other girl down onto the teacher’s desk and climbing over her, straddling her waist. Rarity jumped a bit in surprise, but took Twilight’s neck in her hands and held her close, taking in the feeling of her friend’s lips along her own.

Pulling back a bit, Twilight smirked, “You really are a great kisser, heh. I’ll get used to this,” she whispered before kissing her roughly.

Any sort of plan she’d had in her mind had quickly evaporated as she moaned underneath her, running her hands over her back as she felt her whole body heat up.

Running her own hands along Rarity’s thin form, Twilight smirked between kisses as she brought her hands to her hips. There, they trailed up her skirt, caressing and kneading the soft skin of her thighs. Rarity shuddered, squirming a little but otherwise remaining still.

‘No… I should get control of this… I was supposed to just...’ Rarity moaned softly, “Oooh yes! Twilight, that’s so nice…”

“Yeah, you like that, don’t you? You’re really a little… slut underneath all that makeup and prissy clothes,” Twilight smirked, going up higher, “Admit it, Rare, you like what a woman can do. You like being dirty…”

“Y-yes… I… I like being dirty,” Rarity groaned, resigning herself to her friend, ‘Oh it’ll all be the same if they walk in on this...’

Chuckling, Twilight leaned down and kissed her neck, trailing her hand to Rarity’s panties, where she slowly rubbed her mound, “Wow, would ya look at that… you’re already getting a bit damp there, honey bunch.”

Rarity moaned softly, “Please Dusk… please touch me…”

“Well, m’lady, your wish is my command,” Twilight purred, licking along her collarbone as she slipped her hand down Rarity’s underpants.

Rarity breathed softly, leaning her head back and moaning loudly, “Oh goodness Dusk! That is… so good!”

“That’s it, good little Princess, feed into your inner bad girl,” Twilight moved back up to her lips, exploring her sex with her fingers.

Rarity moaned louder, wrapping her arms around Twilight’s neck, “Oooooooo yes! Yes, I’m a bad girl! I need you, Dusk!”

“Fuck yeah!” Twilight hollered, slipping her fingers into Rarity’s entrance, pulling down her panties with her free hand.

“Ah!” Rarity gasped as she felt her panties being yanked down as Twilight started fingering her, “Oh god… yes, right there!”

Laughing, Twilight nibbled her neck, groping her breast with one hand while she continued to vigorously finger her, “Yeah, you know you want it all, Rare… That’s a good bad girl… Keep begging me, little slut, you know you want to.”

“Yes!” Rarity gasped, “I do want it all, Dusk… oh this is so good… I want you so badly. AH!”

Inserting a second finger inside, Twilight licked her jawline and made a scissoring motion with her fingers. Her free hand now slipped up Rarity’s blouse and groped her breast through her bra. “That’s what I sure love to hear…”

Rarity moaned and bit her lip, her knees spreading further apart, hungry for more of her friend as she eyed her tight shorts that hugged her curves beautifully.

“Now then, m’lady, what can I do to you? Hmm? Want a good fucking?” Twilight smirked.

“Yes!” Rarity almost gasped, “Yes I do, Dusk! I want a… good fucking!”

Grinning maniacally, looking more crazy than aroused, Twilight nodded. She lifted Rarity’s skirt hem above her waist, spread her legs, and lifted them onto her shoulders.

“Well, m’lady, prepare to be deflowered,” she whispered.

Rarity’s face flushed brightly, there was no going back now, “I’m ready…”

Chuckling, Twilight was just about to dive right in to oblige, when she heard the door slam open behind her.

“Twilight Sparkle, what the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Twilight Velvet screamed, looking absolutely livid.

“WHAT?!” Twilight tore away, wide-eyed, “Mom?! What the hell are you doing here?!”

“Never mind what I’m doing here, what the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Twilight Velvet seethed, “I thought I raised you better than this!”

Twilight let out a frustrated groan, “Mom, I’m eighteen! I’m sick and tired of being treated like a child! I’m taking charge of my own life! I’m sick of being a shut-in and a coward! I’m sick of being worried about everything!”

“So you thought you’d just get busy with some slut in your classroom?!” she asked, clearly appalled by her daughter’s idiocy, “Taking charge of your life means recklessly fucking some whore?!”

“Hey, that’s still my friend right there! And maybe I am!” Twilight retorted, “I’m sick of you trying to keep me from something I want!”

“And what is it you want?” Twilight Velvet asked, folding her arms in a huff.

“I want to be my own woman and without you trying to wear me down! I want you to understand support my choices! I want everyone to stop staring at me like I’m an alien!” Twilight shouted, “I just want to do what I do without others trying to pry into my life!”

“Well Twilight, look what happens when you try to be your own woman?” Twilight Velvet said firmly, indicating Twilight’s clothes and Rarity still lying flushed on the desk, “You could have gotten yourself in some serious trouble here! Why if any teacher had walked by this door and saw you, you’d have been expelled from school. Right before graduation! Now explain to me what idiot would support such a reckless and stupid decision like that?!”

“Maybe I didn’t care about the rules! Maybe I just wanted to be free!” Twilight yelled, tears in her eyes now.

“Free? And then what? What will you do with freedom, Twilight?” Twilight Velvet asked, “Go off on a joyride, get yourself arrested and thrown in prison? Ruin your future as the Princess’s student all to fulfill some adrenaline rush? That is not freedom, Twilight. That is stupidity. This is exactly what I was trying to tell you not a week ago!”

“Oh, no! You are not putting the blame on Naggy Nag! She’s got nothing to do with it!” Twilight snarled, “That’s what I was talking about! I wasn’t who I am now when I was with her!”

“Was?” Came a voice from the doorway, “Did you break up with me without telling me or something?”

“What are you doing here?!” Twilight exclaimed, ignoring the question.

“Hey, you wouldn’t listen to reason,” Ascentia shrugged, “So now you’re gonna listen to your mom. And Rarity, put your panties back on and put your legs down already.”

“Listening to Mom?! Mom’s the whole reason I even felt pushed to do this!” Twilight yelled, “That and everything else! I can’t take it! I’m sick of being little nerdy pushover Twilight Sparkle!”

Twilight Velvet took a small breath and relaxed, “Sweetheart… I was wrong about Ascentia. She came to me saying you’d started doing… this and was worried about you. She wanted me to come and talk to you. I am sorry I didn’t give you my blessing when you wanted it. I should have trusted you to take care of yourself. But Twilight, this is not the way to take charge of your life. This is just going to destroy it.”

Eyes wide, Twilight’s angered countenance faded, “...I… I… Mom, I… just…”

“Now, I have to be at the DMV to get my license renewed,” Twilight Velvet said hurriedly, “Ascentia, dear, could you take her home and get her changed?”

Ascentia nodded, “Of course, Mrs Sparkle.”

Twilight said nothing, she just stood there in shock, having no strength to move or speak. Ascentia slowly approached her, taking her hand.

“Twilight? Are you alright?” she asked.

“No,’ she said curtly, not looking at her.

“What’s wrong?” Ascentia asked, “Your mother apologized for everything… isn’t that what you wanted?”

Twilight didn’t respond, she just stared straight ahead, “I just want to go home.”

“Okay, I’ll take you home,” Ascentia said soothingly, placing a hand on her back.

Not protesting, Twilight followed along with her as they left the room.

Ascentia and Twilight were completely silent as they sped down the road, Ascentia deliberately taking the longest route to Twilight’s home as she possibly could.

“...Are you going to talk to me?” Ascentia asked, looking over to her.

“What’s there to say,” Twilight muttered, staring out the window.

“...Are you mad at me?” Ascentia asked as she took a hard left.

“No,” Twilight shook her head.

“...You… you never answered my question back there…” Ascentia said nervously, “Are… are we… breaking up?”

Sighing heavily, Twilight looked away again, “I think we should for a while. I need to be myself and think about it. I’m eighteen and I… I don’t know. I think I just need to find myself.”

Ascentia looked over to her for a minute, barely able to believe what she’d heard, then turned her head back to the road, “Alright…” Twilight looked up to her. Despite the solid poker face, there were tears flowing freely down Ascentia’s cheeks.

For a moment she wanted to just take it back, to forget saying such a thing, but now was not the time to buckle under emotions. Sniffling, Twilight hid her own tears, shaking a bit. The two drove in silence until Ascentia came to a screeching halt in front of Twilight’s home. Putting her car in Park, she took a shaky breath and unlocked the passenger side door.

“Here…” Ascentia said shakily.

“Thanks… I guess so, anyway,” Twilight mumbled, opening the door, “... I do love you, you know… I just wanted you to know that.”

Not waiting for an answer, she hopped out of the car and closed the door behind her. Ascentia’s care tore off almost the instant the door clicked shut, kicking up a stream of dust and leaving Twilight by the curb.

Hanging her head, Twilight sniffled and slowly went into the house, closing the door behind her.

“Hey Twi,” Shining said, smiling, “I was told Ascentia was bringing you home… where’d she go?”

“Home, I guess… I… I just… I broke up… w-with her…”

It was then that it fully dawned on Twilight. She crumbled and fell to her knees, sobbing into her hands. Shining rushed over and pulled her into his arms, stroking her hair and holding her up.

“Shhhh,” he cooed, “It’ll be okay… what happened between you two?”

“No… It was all my fault…” Twilight whimpered, crying into his chest, “Everything got messed up because of me…”

Shining rubbed her back, “Do you want to talk about it, Twiley?”

Sobbing harder, Twilight shook her head, “I fucked up! I alienated my friends, violated Rarity, nearly raped Fluttershy, lashed out at everyone, tossed away my dignity, nearly threw my life away… and I screwed it up with the only girl I’ve ever loved!”

If it weren’t for the fact that Ascentia had told Shining Armor everything that had happened, he would have been shocked to hear these things come from his little sister’s mouth, “Shh, it’s alright Twilight. I’m sure your friends will forgive you. But… I have to ask… why did you break up with Ascentia? She didn’t seem angry with you.”

“I… I had to…” Twilight moaned, sniffling, “I need to find myself… To make things right… Come to terms with things… I can’t put her through that suffering anymore. I nearly cheated… No, I did cheat. I can’t do this to her…”

“Twilight… she was here looking for Ma to help you,” Shining said softly, “She was so worried about you, and she wanted to help you. I think… I think she wants to be there for you. I think she wants to help you through what you’re suffering through. I’m not telling you to run back out and go find her… just something to think about. Okay LSBFF?”

Sniffing loudly, Twilight nodded, “Okay, BBBFF...I’ll do that.”

Ascentia brought her car to a screeching halt once she got back to the school and sat there, waiting for Rarity to come out. She was still somewhat in shock, and simply stared out the windshield. Finally, after a few minutes of waiting, everything finally crumbled on top of her. She laid her arms over the steering wheel and broke down, weeping into her sleeves.

After a few minutes, she was startled by a tapping on the window. Rarity was ready to go. Opening the door and gathering herself, she sped off as soon as Rarity was fastened in.

“So how was she?” Ascentia asked dully.

“...Actually, aside from… heavy touching, it never did get too much farther…” Rarity admitted.

“Still, how was she?” Ascentia asked again.

Rarity squirmed a bit, looking down, “I cannot deny that my hormones overreacted. I found myself enjoying it… far more than I should have. While it may have been Twilight… it felt more like it were a stranger. I suppose I… latched on to the feeling and being given such treatment because of how different and how good it felt. I only wish it weren’t under such circumstances… especially with Twilight not acting like herself.”

“Guess it doesn’t matter anyway,” Ascentia said flatly, “She broke up with me…”

“What?! D-Darling, I understand you’re hurt of the way she… had cheated, but surely you two could have worked it out…” Rarity uttered in worry.

Ascentia shook her head, fresh tears brimming in her eyes, “She said she… needed to find herself. Whatever that bullshit means…”

Exhaling, Rarity shook her head, “It simply means that someone needs to come to terms with everything within themselves before they can fully give themselves to someone else. Clearly, she didn’t feel she could truly continue or commit to your relationship and give it it the everything it needs. After what happened, I certainly can’t say I blame her. But even I don’t think it should have ended this way…”

Ascentia shrugged and kept driving, when an idea hit her, “Hey… Mrs Sparkle interrupted you before you two could really get started, didn’t she?”

“Thankfully, yes,” Rarity replied, “What about it?”

Ascentia shrugged, “You were having fun, I was just dumped and on the rebound. What do you say?”

Eyes wide, Rarity blushed heavily, “...Darling, are you sure?”

“Yes,” Ascentia said firmly, “I’m positive.”

Shifting a bit, Rarity clasped her hands in her lap, “...All right.”

Ascentia slowed down at an intersection and wheeled the car back around, tearing off in the direction of her apartment.

The Solution To (And Cause Of) Most Of Life's Problems

“So did those two ever patch things up?” Rainbow asked as she sat at the back of the bus with Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity.

“Not really, dear,” Rarity shook her head, “Beyond civil conversation, they hadn’t reconciled.”

“They aren’t even friends anymore,” Fluttershy squeaked.

“I heard somethin’ about Ascentia going off an’ sleepin’ with someone right after they broke up,” Applejack added, “Don’ know who though.”

“Yikes, talk about rebound,” Rainbow said, cocking an eyebrow.

Rarity sighed, “Regardless, as much as I would rather not pry into them, I do believe they need a chance to truly talk.”

“I hope so,” Rainbow sighed, “Ascentia made Twilight pretty damn happy…”

“And vice-versa,” Fluttershy murmured, “But what can we do? It really isn’t our place to do or say anything. Shouldn’t they work it out for themselves?”

“I guess,” Rainbow sighed, “Doesn’t stop me wishing they will though.”

“Well, girls, we had to intervene to save Twilight from herself and her inner demons. Perhaps, in some sort of way, we should...nudge them in the right direction,” Rarity put in, “It’s all in the power of a little cunning.”

“Ooooh!” Pinkie squealed, popping up from seemingly nowhere, “Are we gonna play matchmaker for Twi Twi and Asy?!”

“Yes, Pinkie. Yes we are,” Rarity said evenly.

“Okay… so anybody have any ideas for exactly how we do that?” Rainbow asked, “Cause the last time we just made Twilight go talk to her.”

“Lock them in a room together! We don’t let ‘em out until they’re making up! And out, of course!” Pinkie chirped.

“Pinkie, that’s borderline kidnappin’,” Applejack said, rolling her eyes, “Anythin’ we could do that’s actually legal?”

“Um… Maybe we could ask them to-”

“I got it!” Pinkie broke in, cutting Fluttershy off, “I’m gonna go and ask them to meet me at Sugarcube Corner! Separately! They’ll both think they’re meeting me there, but then they see each other there and oh my gosh! There it is! Ta-da-da-da!”

Fluttershy put her hand down, pouting, “That’s what I was going to say…”

“There, ya see? That’s better!” Applejack smiled, “Alright Pinkie, you go find ‘em and do that. The rest of y’all, we gotta think of somethin’ in case that don’t work.”

“Well, prom is coming up. I know they were planning to go together…” Fluttershy put in.

“Yeah, but then they split up, Shy,” Rainbow said flatly, “I don’t think that plan’s still in the works.”

“You know what I meant,” Fluttershy said.

“Ooooh! That’s it!” Pinkie said, slapping her fist into her palm, “Plan B, you guys! We’re going to split up, and make sure we get them to prom! But we don’t tell them Group A is bringing Twi-Twi and Group B is bringing Asy! We make them believe we’re just all going!”

“Sounds… devious,” Fluttershy said, “Interestingly.”

“That’s nice in theory, but how in the world will we convince them to go?” Rarity wanted to know.

“It’s a party, silly!” Pinkie beamed, “Why wouldn’t they want to go?”

“Because they’ll both be thinking ‘What if the other one is there?!’ and they’ve been going out of their way to avoid each other,” Rainbow said flatly, “Twilight tried to sleep with Rarity, and Ascentia slept with… someone. They’ve both been hurt by that pretty badly.”

“Oh, they won’t be avoiding each other, Dashie,” Pinkie said deviously, “Not at all…”

They all stared at her.

“Subtle,” Rarity deadpanned, “Would you like to wring your hands while you say that?”

“Okay, I’ll bite,” Rainbow said, rolling her eyes, “Why won’t they be avoiding each other?”

“You just leave that to me! So, pick one, lovelies! Plan A or B and we go for it!” Pinkie winked at her friends.

“Plan A seems more practical,” Rainbow said with a shrug.

“Oh, but Plan B just sounds so romantic,” Rarity said, staring off into the distance, “Fluttershy, what do you think?”

“Well, um… Plan A is certainly more practical and I think would work better. But Plan B really is so sweet and romantic,” Fluttershy smiled dreamily, “How I’d like to reunite with the one I love on the prom dance floor, dancing all night…”

“Okay, so Fluttershy’s in for Plan B,” Rainbow said, “Applejack?”

“Plan A,” she said, “Get right to the point.”

“...Shit, there’s an even number of us,” Rainbow put her face into her palm, “Forget it, let’s do Plan B.”

“All right, well I will go with… whichever of us will convince Ascentia,” Rarity spoke up, “She and I have an understanding, you see. Any other takers?”

“I’ll go, too,” Fluttershy said.

“What do you mean by ‘understanding’?” Rainbow asked.

Rarity sighed, rolling her eyes, “What I mean, dear, is that we simply chat sometimes. She usually asks me how Twilight is doing and if she’s said anything about her.”

“Oh,” Rainbow looked disappointed, then shrugged, “Looks like it’s you and me with Twilight, Applejack.”

“Sounds like it,” Applejack smirked, “This’ll be easy peasy.”

“And I’ll go with Rare-bear and Flutter-butter to convince Asy!” Pinkie declared, “We begin Operation Cobra pronto!”

“Cobra?” Rainbow asked, “Why Cobra?”

“It sounds cool!” Pinkie giggled.

Fluttershy giggled and whispered, “She and I have also been watching Once Upon A Time. Anyway, so it looks like we have the plan in action. We’ll just have to make sure they have dresses.”

“Darling, you need not look any further! I shall take care of that,” Rarity grinned.

“Great,” Applejack said, standing up, “Let’s go then, I don’t wanna waste any time.”

“Operation Cobra is in motion! Let’s move, troops!” Pinkie appeared into view again, wearing an army helmet.

“Twi? You in there?” Rainbow shouted, pounding her fist onto the Sparkle’s front door.

The door opened, revealing Shining Armor, “Oh hi girls! Twiley’s upstairs studying. Come on in!”

Rainbow and Applejack followed him inside, “Hey Armor, how’s she been?”

“Well, she’s been pouring herself into her studies a lot more lately,” Shining said a bit worriedly, “And I mean a lot more. Twiley studies a lot, but she still had fun, either just doing something else or hanging with you guys. Not this time, all she does when she’s not eating or sleeping is studying.”

Rainbow and Applejack exchanged nervous looks, but pressed on, “Can we go see her? We wanted to talk to her.”

“Be my guest,” Shining indicated to the stairs, “I’m sure you gals will have better luck. Cadance and I have been trying all afternoon.”

The two climbed the stairs to Twilight’s bedroom door and Rainbow rapped her knuckles against the wood.

“Twilight?” she called, “It’s me and Applejack. Can we talk to you?”

“I’m busy!” Twilight called back.

“Sugarcube, we’ve heard that all ya do is study study study. Now that might be normal fer you, but when it’s too far, even for you, that’s sayin’ somethin’,” Applejack spoke up, “Now come outta there. Ya havent’ been outta yer room except for school.”

“I said I’m busy! I have final exams to prepare for!” Twilight snapped, “Now go away!”

Rainbow looked at Applejack with a flat expression, “We’re just going in anyway, right?”

“Of course we are,” Applejack smiled, turning the doorknob and opening the door.

Twilight, who was reading a book and taking notes at her desk looked up, “Did you not hear me?! I’m busy!”

“Nnnope. We’re totally deaf to anythin’ but ‘yes’,” Applejack quipepd dryly, “Now then, yer gettin’ ready for prom.”

“Prom?! I’m not going!” Twilight protested.

“And why not?” Rainbow asked, “We’re your friends, you’re coming to Prom with us.”

“No, I’m not going!” Twilight huffed, “End of discussion!”

“Twi, if this weren’t fer yer own good, ya know we wouldn’t be pushing you,” Applejack said firmly, “Now you listen here. Ah know what happened was terrible and you feel like crap. But sittin’ here and studyin’ your brains out ain’t helpin’. We haven’t even seen ya except at school an’ we’re worried. Come with us ta prom, to just have fun and enjoy yourself.”

“Well, let me think! Hmm, no!” Twilight shook her head and went back to her book.

“Please, Twilight?” Rainbow asked, “At least tell us why you won’t?”

Twilight snorted, “And why, pray tell, must I justify my reasons to you?”

“Sugarcube, it’s a fair question. Now just tell us,” Applejack put her hand on the book and forced it down,

“Fine! You want to know why? Because I have much more important things to do than to go to a silly dance! So what if I miss prom? High school isn’t even a significant part of my life! Why would I need to celebrate its end? I don’t! I’m not going because I have no interest! And I don’t want her to start coming and begging me to take her back! I’m just surprised she hasn’t stood outside my window with a radio above her head playing sad love songs!”

“Aha, so it is about Ascentia?” Rainbow smirked, “You’re afraid you’re gonna bump into her! See Applejack? I told you that’s why she hasn’t come out of her room in days.”

“Sugarcube, if you’re so done with her, why are ya avoidin’ her?” Applejack asked.

“What do you mean why?! When you break up with someone and not want anything to do with them, you avoid them!”

“But you didn’t have to cut her off! Make it like it never happened and that you were nothing!” Rainbow protested, then paused. She shook her head, “Anyway, you know what I mean! You can’t just keep doing this!”

“And why not?” Twilight asked indignantly.

“Cause it ain’t healthy, Sugarcube,” Applejack retorted, “If anythin’ this dance’ll give you some much needed exercise.”

“You saying I’m getting fat?” Twilight scowled.

“No, I’m sayin’ you’ve been on your butt for over a month now,” Applejack frowned.

Rainbow snickered, “But you are getting a little pudgy…”

“I am not fat!” Twilight yelled, “And I am not going to prom! You’re going to have to drag my cold, dead body there!”

Rainbow smirked and cracked her knuckles, but Applejack put a hand on her shoulder.

“No killin’ Twilight,” she said quickly, “Twilight, we’ll get Pinkie over here if you won’t co-operate.”

“Oh, come on! Seriously?! Threats with Pinkie again?!” Twilight snarled, getting up, “If you girls don’t get out of my face, I will report you for for harassment!”

“To who?” Rainbow smirked, “Who’s gonna bother with that?”

“Now yer bein’ irrational,” Applejack placed a hand on her shoulder, “Now quit fightin’ and do yourself a favour. You’re comin’ with us to prom and that’s final!”

Twilight let out a frustrated growl and wrenched herself away, “Fine! I’ll go! But only for an hour, then I’m leaving!”

“Great,” Applejack grinned, “Now come to Rarity’s this evenin’ and she’ll have a dress for ya.”

“Whatever,” Twilight sat back down and returned to her book.

Applejack and Rainbow closed the door behind them and smirked.

“That was easy,” Rainbow laughed, “Hope Rarity and Fluttershy are having just as easy a time.”

“Hellooooo!” Pinkie knocked on Ascentia’s bedroom door, “Asy! Asy, it’s us! Come out come out!”

Ascentia opened the door, rubbing her eyes and looking like she’d just woken up, “...What? Why are you so loud?”

“Oh, no no no no no and no!” Pinkie said with disapproval, shaking her head, “Look at you! You’re a messy messy messy lady!”

“Darling,” Rarity spoke up, “we’re here because we’d like you to come with us to prom.”

“Um, this is the part where I say if you want to, but I’m afraid that would be lying… sorry…” Fluttershy said.

Ascentia looked flatly at Fluttershy as she blinked, trying to rid her face of sleep, “...Do I not have a choice?” she asked hazily.

“No. You don’t,” Rarity said sternly, “You’re coming with us to prom, dear. We will not take no for an answer.”

Ascentia yawned, “Yeah, sorry but that’s not really my thing,” she said, opening the door wider as she turned her back to them, “I only went to the last one because… well I just don’t wanna go.”

“Ah-ah-ah! Asy sweetie, I think you’re a little hard of hearing,” Pinkie blocked the door with her foot, “Because we said, specifically, that you’re coming.”

“We don’t mean to be forceful, but you haven’t been out of your house for over a month. You don’t even call me anymore,” Rarity said sadly, “Honestly, that hurts. I think you need some involvement and time to get your mind off everything.”

“Please, please come with us,” Fluttershy begged, giving her a puppy dog face, “We’d really appreciate it.”

Ascentia pulled open her dresser, digging through her clothes, “Hmm… lemme think about that… no. And Rarity, I call you all the time, you just don’t answer.”

“I do so!” Rarity retorted, “You-oh. Wait. I did get a new phone last week and-oh, right, different number… Right, my bad.”

“Anyway!” Pinkie stepped in again, “Sorry but no is not an acceptable answer, Asy! You’re coming with us! Or I’ll be drinking coffee! Lots of it! I noticed your parents have a Keurig…”

Pulling her wrinkled shirt off and throwing it aside, Ascentia started digging through her shirts, trying to find one that was clean, “Pinkie, I’ve seen you drink coffee, you’re not all that frightening when you do. And it’s a Tassimo.”

Laughing, Pinkie grinned, “Oh, sorry. Did I say coffee? I meant Red Bull!” She pulled a can seemingly out of nowhere, “And this isn’t my only one, either.”

Rarity and Fluttershy both backed away in fright, wide-eyed.

Ascentia put down the shirt she was holding, leaned back and smirked, “Go ahead. I’m six foot two and could hold you down with one hand.”

“Oh, really?”

Four cans of red bull later, Pinkie was sitting on Ascentia’s back while the latter was flat on the floor, pinned down by her weight.

“You were saying?” Rarity smiled.

“Wiry little bastard…” Ascentia mumbled, “I’m still not going, and you three have to leave at some point!”

“I’m not getting up then! No no no nope!” Pinkie smiled, holding her down more, “I can stay here all day!”

“It’s true, she can… She held down someone for over six hours one time…” Fluttershy said, “Please go with us?”

“So you’re gonna stay here all night, are you?” Ascentia asked, her tone getting more childish as she felt Pinkie’s weight press her bra clip into her back, “I have the patience of a monk, just try me.”

“Silly, we’re not doing this all night! But we can!” Pinkie smirked, “Now come on, one little word!”

“Darling, this is about the possibility of seeing Twilight there, isn’t it?” Rarity stated.

“Duuuuuh!” Ascentia said mockingly, “No Rarity, I’m refusing to spend two hours in a place I already spend thirty hours a week at just because. Of course it’s about her!”

“I knew it!” Pinkie said with a grin, “Well, that won’t be a problem! She’s not even going!”

“The poor girl has been studying herself silly,” Rarity said, shaking her head.

“Yeah yeah, like I believe that,” Ascentia smirked, turning her head, “Where are the other two?”

“Applejack went home and Rainbow is at practice,” Rarity replied casually.

“You see, why don’t I believe you?” Ascentia asked, “I bet if I asked Applejack, she’d tell me something different. That chick’s as honest as her legs are… I should stop that line of thought, two is enough.”

“Go ahead, call her right now,” Rarity smiled, “we have nothing to hide. Would you like me to get your phone?”

“Well Pinkie could just get off me and I could get it myself,” Ascentia retorted.

“Here you go!” Pinkie placed the phone next to her head, “It’s fully charged, I checked!”

Ascentia frowned, “Pinkie, get off me!”

“Nopey-dopey-lopey!” Pinkie giggled, “I’m not moving until you say yes!”

“You know, Pinks… my Dad’s a cop and my Mom’s a lawyer,” Ascentia said with perhaps the most infantile grin ever.

“And?” Pinkie giggled.

“You have me pinned to the floor and I’m half naked,” Ascentia grinned, “One shout and you’re in a lot of trouble. Get off!”

“Um, darling? Your parents aren’t even here,” Rarity deadpanned, “And even if you did call them and tell them to come back, we’d be gone.”

“No, but that camera up there’s probably got a few things to say,” Ascentia grinned, pointing up at a black bulb in the corner of the ceiling, “Paranoia finally paid off.”

The three stared weirdly at her, before Pinkie obliged.

“Fine then, you win that part,” Rarity said coolly, “But we’re not leaving yet.”

Ascentia picked herself up and set her phone on the dresser, “I’m not going. And you can make all the threats in the world but-”

Pinkie’s hand shot out and grabbed her wrist, turning her arm over, “What’s this, Asy?”

“...Really bad burn?”

“Try again.”

“Birthmark.”

“Nope.”

“I cut myself.”

“Not buying it.”

“I habitually cut myself.”

“One more.”

“Fine, it’s a tattoo,” Ascentia scowled, wrenching her arm out of Pinkie’s grip, “What about it?”

“I bet Twi Twi would love to know you have a tattoo of her star charm on your arm,” Pinkie grinned.

“We used to go out, it sounds plausible,” Ascentia smirked.

“Darling, you didn’t get that until after you two had broken up,” Rarity smirked.

“And how would you know?” Ascentia smirked.

“Yeah, Rare-bear,” Pinkie said, looking curious, “How do you know?”

Rarity rolled her eyes, “I was with you when you got it, dear.”

Ascentia leaned forward, her smirk widening, “No you weren’t.”

“Oh, wait, I know how!” Pinkie then said, “You saw it when you two were totally doing it!”

All eyes were on her then, stunned.

“H-H-How did you…?” Rarity squeaked, fumbling her fingers.

Pinkie giggled, “Aha! So it’s true! I was just bluffing!”

Ascentia leaned back against the windowsill, “Actually Pinkie, I just didn’t have it then, and I slept with her right after Twilight broke up with me. But you all wouldn’t want her to know that, would you?”

“Why would you get a tattoo after all that? It’s permanent,” Fluttershy said, biting her lip.

Ascentia sighed, “I… I don’t know… it was kind of a spur of the moment thing…”

“You got a tattoo, which I’m questioning if you’re actually legal to get one, which is permanent!” Rarity exclaimed, “I didn’t want to say anything at first, but right now I will not. And this is why you’re coming to the prom, because you’re obviously letting yourself go.”

Ascentia looked down at herself, “What are you talkin’ about, I look fine.”

Rarity stared hard at her, “Oh, really. A tattoo, of your ex-girlfriend. Ex. Girlfriend. What do you think a future partner is going to say when they see that? What about in ten years when you regret it? Darling, how you feel about Twilight is how you feel. But you are clearly letting this get to you far too badly. It’s been a month. Your hair is ragged and you are beginning to smell. When was the last time you even showered? And look at this!” She pulled some things out from under the bed, “Emptied, used ice cream cartons?! You didn’t even wash them! I see those wrappers and plastic cups in the corner, too! I’m surprised you haven’t had an insect infestation in this room! This looks like the room of an alcoholic! In fact…” She pulled an empty bottle of hard apple cider from under the bed, “Don’t even tell me it’s your mother’s.”

Ascentia took a shaky breath and looked away from them, “It is… I stole it…”

She sank down to the floor and buried her face in her hands, “Oh god, what’s wrong with me?! I’ve been d-dumped before and I was f-fine…”

“Have you ever felt truly serious about someone?” Rarity queried, sitting down next to her.

Ascentia shook her head, taking in a quivering breath, “No…”

“Obviously, you two need proper closure. This cannot go on,” Rarity placed a hand on her back.

Ascentia shook her head, “She hates me, she’s not going to want to talk to me.”

“Darling… Hate you? Where in the world did you get that idea?”

“She doesn’t hate you!” Pinkie pouted, “She misses you! She just won’t admit it!”

“It’s true. She didn’t break up with you because she hated you. She did it because she didn’t want to hurt you anymore,” Fluttershy said.

Ascentia looked up and glared at her, her tear-streaked face conveying everything the glare was meant to say.

“No!” Pinkie smacked her side, “You stop being a sour puss right now, missy! You get yourself back up and into the game! Is this what you want for yourself? Do you think Twi-Twi would be glad to know this happened to you? That you’re doing this to yourself.”

Ascentia wiped her eyes, “No… god, I don’t even know what’s happened to me. I think I’m still drunk…”

“Despite everything, they were right. Sure this breakup hurt you more than not breaking up with you could have, but that is where you are going to march right to that prom and be the best you are,” Rarity poked her nose, “You can’t live like this. Do you want to look back on that,” she pointed to the hidden camera location, “and see what a mess you are? Do you want Twilight to see that? Or anyone?”

All of a sudden something hit her, “Hey wait a minute. I’ve been getting hammered in here for a month, and that thing’s been in my room since I was five. Shouldn’t someone have come in to check on me?”

At that, a woman crossed the hall, briefly stopping to lean past the doorframe, “Hey Ascentia, thanks for everything! I’ll see ya around!”

She walked past, leaving the four girls confused.

“Who was that?” Fluttershy asked.

“I have absolutely no idea,” Ascentia said, “Alright, you win. Let’s go.”

“Woohoo!” Pinkie danced, “Let’s get you a nice dress, then!”

“Don’t you worry, I do,” Rarity smiled.

“All right, we’re here, woohoo,” Twilight muttered dryly. She looked amongst her friends as they stood near the entrance of the venue’s ballroom, where the prom was being held, “So now what do we-Rainbow, for crying out loud, will you stop fidgeting?! What’s your problem?”

Rainbow snapped ramrod stiff and flushed, “N-nothing… I’m just a little… hey look, punch!”

Rainbow tore off to the table to get herself some punch and guzzled it down in desperation.

“Oh, poor thing…” Fluttershy said worriedly, “I’ll go talk to her,” she went over to her friend and touched her shoulder.

Twilight managed a smile and snorted a bit, “Keep telling yourself that, honey…”

Looking all around the room, seeing her peers dressed in their best, dancing, or just mingling. Twilight frowned and disinterestedly leaned against the wall.

“Alright, so can I go now girls?” she asked, “I came, I mingled, now I wanna go home.”

Rarity gave her a flat look, “You’ve been here for five minutes and have done nothing but stand in the same spot. You’re not leaving, dear.”

Twilight grumbled and rolled her eyes as she watched Pinkie bounce around the room, violating everyone’s personal space.

“Hey Roseluck! Vinyl! Octy! BB! Bumpky! Cranky! Snowy! Asy! LET'S PARTY!" she squealed, dragging the eight boys and girls she’d collided with over to her friends and kicking the audio equipment to start playing really loud music.

“Well la-dee-da, now it’s time to dance,” Twilight stretched her arms, “No thanks, I’ll just go get punch or something.”

Slogging herself over to the table, she grabbed a cup next to a bright red and shaking Rainbow Dash.

“What is it with you and dances?” Twilight asked, “What on earth get’s you so nervous?”

“Nothing!” Rainbow fidgeted as she glanced around nervously, “And I know I picked up Fluttershy but that doesn’t mean we’re here together! I’m fine!”

Twilight smirked, catching the signs of a girl in the closet all too well, “Never said you were here together, sport.”

“We’re not! And I wasn’t staring at anyone, especially not her!” Rainbow drank down more punch.

Twilight giggled, throwing an arm around her shoulder, “Oh c’mon Rainbow, lighten up. I’m just playing.”

“Whatever,” Rainbow groaned. She then perked upon hearing the next song playing, “Ooh! That’s our song! ‘Scuse me, Twi, gotta grab Flutters and dance!” She hurried off toward the floor.

“Whatever you say,” Twilight chuckled, “So deep in the closet, she’s finding Christmas presents.”

Looking about once more, she came upon a sight she’d never expected to see. Standing some ways off, chatting with Rarity, was Ascentia. Had she been drinking some punch, she’d have done a spit-take. Not just at seeing her here this evening, but most especially at how she looked.

Twilight could tell Rarity’s handiwork when she saw it. Ascentia’s hair had been carefully straightened and layered with glossy flecks down her back, making it seem to shimmer in the dim light of the ballroom. She’d also, somehow put makeup on. Either that or someone had held her down and put it on for her, and she was wearing a dark green, strapless dress with an angled hem, showing more of her right leg than her left.

The cup she was holding in her hand squished in.

“Wow…” She murmured, stunned, “Always knew she was attractive, but boy she cleans up nicely.”

“Hey Twi Twi!” Pinkie squealed, bounding down next to her, “What’cha lookin’ at?”

“Nothing!” Twilight tore her gaze away, clearing her throat.

“Ooooooh!” Pinkie smirked, “I see, you were looking at Rare-bear, weren’t you? Twi Twi’s got an eye for the pretty ladies, does she?”

“Well, yeah. Of course I am, I find women attractive and am perfectly comfortable with my sexuality,” Twilight snorted, “Unlike one of us…”

Pinkie just beamed and hung herself off Twilight’s shoulders, poking her tongue out the corner of her mouth, “Well why don’t you go dance with Rare-bear? I don’t think her friend would mind.”

Twilight blushed a bit, giving her a pat on the back, “All right, fine. I will go and dance with her. I think it’s the least I can do after…. after that.”

“After what?” Pinkie asked obliviously.

“Nothing. I’ll just… just go do that,” Twilight shook her head, tossing her cup into the trash.

Pinkie smiled brightly and dove back into her makeshift moshpit as Twilight approached the two women, nervous at the idea of a possible confrontation with her ex girlfriend. Almost as if she sensed her, Ascentia walked away from Rarity and into the bathroom, keeping her back to her the whole time.

“Twilight!” Rarity smiled, “You made it! Lovely Darling. I was beginning to worry that all my time spent sewing had been in vain!”

“Of course I made it, you came with me,” Twilight said, “Look, I… I wanted to know if you’d like to dance with me.”

Rarity looked surprised, “Me? Really?”

“Look, I know I’ve apologized several times for what I did, but I think it would also be a very nice gesture if we had a dance together. Between friends. And… despite the crudity of my words, I did mean it when I said I found you to be a beautiful young woman,” Twilight managed a smile, holding a hand to her.

Rarity smiled, “Of course, dear,” she took her hand and let Twilight lead her out onto the dance floor.

Coming to a spot on the floor, the two resumed a traditional waltzing position as the music became slower and softer. Although a little clumsy, Twilight managed to avoid stepping on Rarity’s shoes.

“Have you been doing alright?” Rarity asked as they danced, “We’ve all been worried about you.”

“I’ve been… studying a lot,” Twilight looked down a bit.

Rarity lifted her face to took at her, “I’ve heard. It’s good you came out of your room, darling.”

“...I guess it has… I just… I was afraid I’d see her here,” Twilight admitted.

“Well, you probably saw,” Rarity said softly, “She is here.”

“I know, I did see her… She looks amazing, by the way.”

Rarity beamed, “Thank you, Darling. Possibly my biggest challenge yet. It took hours to get all the grime out of- I mean, thank you Darling.”

“You’re welcome,” Twilight grinned, “It really showed. I mean, I couldn’t see her in full from where I was standing, but, you know…”

“I’d been dying to try hair glimmer for a while,” Rarity grinned, “Do you think it looks okay?”

Twilight nodded, “I did see it, it looked lovely.”

Rarity seemed to silently squee, “Ooooh, now I have to do everyone’s hair like that! I’ll just need to get more glimmer.” She threw her arms around Twilight’s shoulders and hugged her tightly.

Laughing, Twilight hugged her back, “Oh, I bet we’ll be taking you up on that.”

“Wonderful, dear,” Rarity grinned, “And you don’t need to apologize for what happened before. Really.”

“Maybe, but still. You’re one of my best friends and you deserve a much better experience than that, man or woman,” Twilight pouted.

“Well, I think I should thank you,” Rarity said with a small blush, “I’ve… come to the realization that I like… both. And I think it was you that helped me see that…”

“Really?” Twilight looked to her with surprise, “Wow.”

Rarity’s blush deepened and she nodded, “Mmhm. It’s actually quite liberating. So… thank you, Twilight.”

“Well, hey! You’re welcome, at least something good came out of it for you,” she smiled more.

Both girls spotted another out of the corner of their eyes. Ascentia had come back from the bathroom and was watching Pinkie intently as the party-girl was somehow managing to slow-dance with five people at once. Ascentia absently lifted a steel flask to her mouth and took a drink.

“...Should I go talk to her?” Twilight murmured, “Would she even want to see me?”

Rarity bit her lip, unsure whether to tell her the truth or if that would be going too far, “I think you should. You two haven’t spoken in a month, there’s nothing to lose.”

Nodding, Twilight nuzzled her in thanks before letting go as the song ended. She slowly walked along, nearly tripping on her skirt, trying hard to make her way over to her ex.

Swallowing hard, Twilight stopped about ten feet away. It felt as if her feet were held down by cinder blocks. Even her legs were like jelly at this point, barely holding her up. She was about to consider just turning around and trying later, only for a pair of unseen hands pushing her back and toward Ascentia.

“H-H-Hello!” Twilight managed in a squeak, standing up straight.

Ascentia jumped violently and whipped around, breathing heavily as some of her drink splashed onto her cheek, “Don’t sneak up on me like that. And the others told me you were staying home…”

“Ack! Sorry! Sorry sorry sorry!” Twilight grabbed some napkins from a nearby table and wiped her cheek with it, “I didn’t mean to, sorry! I-wait, what? They told you that? But I didn’t, I was-oh, those little sneaky vixens!”

“What?” Ascentia asked, taking a swig from her flask.

“They-wait a second, what is that?” Twilight snatched the flask and sniffed it, “Alcohol?! Are you out of your mind?!”

“Yes,” Ascentia quipped, snatching the flask back.

Twilight took it back, emptying it into a spittoon, “You are not drinking this, young lady! It’s illegal and it smells! Ew! How can anyone like this stuff?!”

“Because it’s the solution to, and cause of, most of life’s problems,” Ascentia said bitterly, taking her flask back and filling it from the punch bowl.

“Oh, so endangering your health will make things easier? Right, I’m sure,” Twilight rolled her eyes, “Whatever. I can lecture you about this later, missy. I’m here to talk to you.”

“What?” Ascentia asked flatly, taking a swig of her punch mixed with the last dregs of vodka, and smiling appreciatively at her sudden discovery.

“Hey! Will you put that away?! I’m trying to bear my soul here!” Twilight pouted, crossing her arms.

Ascentia’s eyes snapped to her, ”Okay, now I’m listening.”

“Good, thank you. Look, I’m… I’m sorry. I’m sorry about what I’d done and the fact that I… well, hurt you like I did. Especially in that I pretty much treated you like you were just somebody that I used to know. But, you’re more than that, you always had been. I just never went through a breakup before, I didn’t know how to handle it, and I knew I didn’t want to break up. I just… In truth I’m really just a dumb bunny. I’m smart and always have the answers to things, but for once, I didn’t have any at all. It was like I was driving on an unmarked road with no map but had to get somewhere in twenty minutes. I didn’t know how to feel with all that and just, I lost it. I really am just-what is that?” Twilight took hold of her arm, noticing something, “...Is that… you got a tattoo? Of my star charm?”

Ascentia got a look on her face like she’d been caught red handed for murder, “Uh… no?”

“Oh, really,” Twilight deadpanned.

“Okay, I didn’t exactly take our breakup all that well,” Ascentia said shamefully, “Some might say I was pretty pathetic… and by some I mean Rarity.”

Twilight blinked, letting her arm go, “It really meant that much to you? I’m not going to lie, this is kind of creepy. But then again, I… well, never would’ve expected someone to feel that strongly about me.”

“I was drunk and upset,” Ascentia said, not looking at her, “If I could have afforded it, I’d have gotten it removed the next day…”

“Well then! It looks like you’re stuck with me,” Twilight smiled, coming closer to her, “Because like that tattoo, you’re not getting rid of me that easily.”

Ascentia looked absolutely stunned, “A-Are you saying that you…”

“As much as I tried, I couldn’t get over you. After all, I didn’t want to break up. I just had the stupid idea thinking it was best. Even after what you did for me. Just to help me… And you even get a tattoo! Wrong reasons, maybe, but, I don’t know, that’s just great,” Twilight hugged her, “So, if you’re willing to put up with me and give this another shot, I’m game.”

Ascentia grabbed her by the waist and lifted her off the ground, hugging her tightly, “Of course I am, Twilight. I missed you so much…”

“Whoa!” Twilight squealed in fright, bringing her arms tighter around her, “I forgot how strong you are… Um, sorry. Yes, I missed you too!”

Ascentia smiled warmly and nuzzled her, “I’m sorry. I was just worried about you, I wasn’t trying to nag…”

“I know… Looking back, you were just trying to help because you were worried. I’m sorry I called you a nag and all those ‘stick-in-the-mud’ nicknames,” Twilight nuzzled her back.

Ascentia simply sighed and held her tightly, a rush of warmth spreading through her chest. She couldn’t quite tell if that was because she was holding Twilight, or the booze kicking in.

“So… since we’re here, I guess we may as well dance!” Twilight said sheepishly.

Ascentia set her down and smiled, nodding, “Yeah… we should.”

Laughing a bit, Twilight took her hand and led the way to the dance floor, “So, how did they manage to convince you to come, anyway? I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t have otherwise.”

“Uh… I can tell you anything, right?” Ascentia asked.

“Well of course,” Twilight assured with a nod.

“Well, a girl left my house when the girls came over to talk to me, and I had no idea why she was there,” Ascentia explained, “I think when you get to the point where that happens, you take any help offered to you.”

Twilight looked confused, “...I’m not sure that I follow… But I guess it would still make less sense if I did.”

“I still don’t even know,” Ascentia sighed, “Like I said, I was… kind of a wreck.”

“Well then, little missy, I sure hope that you’re going to partake in some Twilight Sparkle Rehabilitation!” Twilight poked her nose.

“And what does that involve?” Ascentia asked.

“Getting our relationship back on track, but also a lecture or two, and making sure you’re healthy. So get comfortable!”

Ascentia smiled, “If I’m getting a lecture from anyone, I’m glad it’s you.”

“Good! It’s what I’m best at,” Twilight winked.

“Not to ruin the moment but… your friends are watching us,” Ascentia whispered.

“Those little vixens…” Twilight caught a discreet look at her friends, smirking a little, “I love them but boy they are in so much trouble, now…”

“Go easy on them,” Ascentia said softly, “I… really appreciate what they did for us.”

“Believe me, I appreciate it too,” Twilight giggled, “If not for them, both times, I wouldn’t have had the nerve to move things forward.”

“I… I love you, Twilight,” Ascentia smiled, rocking her on the spot.

Twilight smiled and nuzzled her, “I love you, too.”

Ascentia and Twilight, joined at the lips, stumbled into the first door they found that wasn’t locked and Twilight felt her back hit a flimsy, metal wall. Pulling away from Ascentia’s mouth, she looked around.

“This is the bathroom…” she breathed.

“You want to go somewhere else?” Ascentia asked.

“Now I wish the prom was held at a hotel, like most are,” Twilight pouted.

“I think there’s a reason they stopped doing that,” Ascentia chuckled.

Twilight blushed, “Point taken. But how’s this any better at prevention? At this rate, it makes them want to even more.”

Ascentia roughly kissed her before pulling away, “So do you want to or do you wanna go home?”

“Hmmm… let’s go home, I got myself in enough trouble,” Twilight licked her jawline.

Ascentia relented and allowed Twilight to lead her back out into the hall, where Fluttershy spotted them.

“Oh, Twilight!” Fluttershy smiled, “I was wondering where you two had gone…”

“Nowhere in particular,” Twilight’s eyes shifted, “Is everything alright?”

Fluttershy nodded, “I was just wondering if you two were staying or if you were leaving. Because Pinkie was talking about wanting to go take the town after the dance was over.”

“Oh, that’s nice. Actually, we’re going to head out,” Twilight said, shaking her head, “My feet are killing me. Besides, I know Pinkie’s going to have an after prom party tomorrow, so we’ll be around for that.”

“Oh… okay…” Fluttershy gave a small smile and skulked away.

“My car’s out front,” Ascentia whispered.

Twilight nodded, “Let’s go, then.”

Twilight dragged Ascentia up the stairs and into her room before anyone else could interrupt them and locked the door behind them, pushing Ascentia back onto her bed with a heavy shove. Ascentia hit the mattress hard, smiling up at her.

“Wow, you’re eager,” she smirked.

“What can I say, it’s been a while. I missed this,” Twilight grinned, taking off her dress and kicking off her shoes.

Ascentia looked down at her own dress, and frowned, “Great, now I gotta figure out how this comes off…”

Looking around, she spotted what looked like a tab. Written on the tab was ‘Pull this is everything goes really well, Rares.’ Giving it a tug, all the ties on her dress loosened and the dress itself loosened enough to slip out of, leaving Ascentia lying on Twilight’s bed in her bra and panties.

“Well well, she sure thought of everything,” Twilight remarked.

Ascentia smiled and reached out to her, inviting Twilight to join her. Eager, Twilight all but pounced onto the bed and pinned her down, kissing her neck. Moaning softly, Ascentia wrapped her arms tightly around her, hugging her close to her and running her fingers over her smooth skin. Digging her nails into Twilight’s back, she nibbled onto her ear, her body quivering under Twilight’s kissing.

“My my, you missed this too, didn’t you,” Twilight purred, licking the skin.

Ascentia nodded, breathing heavily, “I told you, Twilight… you’re the best I’ve ever had…”

“And now you’ve got me! Until you get sick of me and go marry some rich corporate executive,” Twilight teased.

Ascentia chuckled, “Well, you’re the student of royalty, so you’ll probably be royalty eventually. That’ll work.”

“Considering I have to take my college studies to Canterlot, no wonder,” Twilight stuck her tongue out playfully.

Ascentia grinned and kissed her, running her hand over her bra-strap and unhooking it, “Good, then it’s settled then.”

“But then being the lover of a Princess would mean a lot of exposure,” Twilight realized.

“Sounds cool,” Ascentia grinned, “I always wanted to be famous.”

Twilight smiled sadly, “Well, it’s not what it’s cracked up to be. But I suppose you might take it better.”

Pulling Twilight’s bra off her arms, Ascentia shrugged, “Still think it’d be cool.”

“That’s what they always say. ‘Oh, I’d love to be famous’, but they never truly know what it’s like. Eventually they realize it should never have happened… Oh, never mind. That’s neither here nor there,” Twilight then smiled, removing her bra as well.

Ascentia laughed, “Captain bringdown talks aren’t all that good when we’re about to strip each other, are they?”

“No, they’re not,” Twilight giggled, “Well, on the bright side, you looked amazing tonight. I should’ve known Rarity worked her magic on you.”

Ascentia blushed softly, “Thanks. And yeah, she did. Never realized how cool hair glimmer would be.”

“No kidding, that was amazing!” Twilight whistled.

Ascentia reached back and grabbed a strand of her hair, pulling it in front of her face and watching it glimmer in the light, “I’m glad we got pictures of all that.”

Running a finger through the strands, Twilight giggled and smiled, “It’s beautiful. Like it’s shining and yet on fire.”

Ascentia blushed and pulled Twilight back in, kissing her fiercely as she ran a hand down to cup her backside. Returning the gesture, Twilight straddled her waist and lowered the taller girl’s panties, tossing them aside to who knew where. Eagerly, her hand crept in along her inner thigh, stroking the skin. Moaning softly, Ascentia reached up and stroked Twilight’s thighs, rubbing her skin and digging her fingernails into her backside.

“So, since this is our… first time since getting back together, how do you want it?” Twilight whispered, going further along her inner thigh.

Ascentia smirked and pulled Twilight down so their faces were close together, “To tell you the truth… I always liked to be completely and totally dominated.”

A glimmer came to Twilight’s violet eyes, “Oh really?”

Ascentia nodded, “Mmmhmm. Being at the mercy of another woman and completely subject to them? It’s really hot.”

“I see… Well then, let’s have a little fun,” Twilight smirked, “Are you ready?”

Ascentia grinned, and nodded. Twilight grinned, standing up and taking off her panties.

“Okay, so first thing, roll over onto your belly.”

Ascentia obliged and turned herself over, stretching her naked body out on Twilight’s bed. Going over to her dresser, Twilight reached into one of her shirt drawers, taking out a white box. She opened the box, taking something out, and bringing it over.

“Pinkie gave me this as a gag present… I do not know how she got it,” Twilight blushed, showing that it was a small strap-on.

Ascentia shuddered a bit, “Never had one used on me before…”

“Really?” Twilight tilted her head, “Huh. I guess even experience folks try new things! Anyway, so it also vibrates, and this little wedge right here allows the same vibration feeling to be used on the user. See? So we’ll both get quite a bit out of it!”

Ascentia blushed, “Well then, I suppose I’m ready… mistress.”

“Mistress? Oh, come on. Let’s not do something silly like that,” Twilight snorted, tying on the strap-on.

Ascentia pouted, but then smiled, “Alright.”

“Hips up!” Twilight grinned, getting onto the bed behind her, “I never used this thing before… At least not the real way… So bear with me.”

Ascentia lifted her hips into the air, keeping the rest of her flat to the bed, “Not the real way? How have you been using it?”

“Duh, I used the dildo end on myself. Didn’t use it on anyone,” Twilight said, “...Although, Rainbow looked a little freaked out when she saw it. I wonder why…”

“She’s always wearing shorts,” Ascentia suggested, “Maybe she’s packing?”

“Packing what? Socks?” Twilight asked, confused, “She stuffs socks into her shorts? Why would she do that?”

“No, a dick,” Ascentia smirked, turning her head around, “You know, she’s Intersex? I’ve heard of it happening, it’s a thought.”

Twilight laughed loudly, “Oh, you’re hilarious! You should take that on the road.”

Ascentia shrugged, “So, you gonna make me scream or what?”

“No promises on the screaming!” Twilight giggled, carefully inserting the dildo, “There we go… Tell me how it feels and if I should slow down.”

“No, go fast and go hard,” Ascentia moaned as she felt the rubber toy slip into her, “Dominate me!”

“Well excuuuuuse me, Princess!” Twilight blew a raspberry, “I’m not exactly used to this thing. Give me a second! Okay, now I just push it in, a little more…”

“You’re the one who’s gonna be a Princess, and I wear all green,” Ascentia moaned softly, “So that’s my line. Oh yes, right there!”

Twilight giggled, “Fair enough, sweetheart. Okay, almost… Wow, you’re taking it better! I couldn’t have it go halfway without freaking out.”

“F-F-Freaking out? W-Why?” Ascentia moaned, quivering as she kept her ass in the air.

“It felt weird!” Twilight went in deeper, then turned on the device, “I didn’t like how further insertion felt.”

Ascentia shuddered as she laughed, “Wow… you’re gayer than I am… never thought I’d see the day-AHH! YES!”

“That has nothing to do with gay!” Twilight snickered, “It just didn’t feel-oooh that’s good-all that comfortable.”

Ascentia moaned sharply and gripped the pillow underneath her, “Mmmm, yes! Pull my hair!”

“Okay…” Twilight did so, tugging on some of her hair as she probed deeper.

Biting her lip, Ascentia arched her back and moaned softly, “YES! Mmmm, I love you Twilight!”

“And I love you too!” Twilight moaned, beginning to thrust in and out of her.

“Ah!” Ascentia gasped, the feeling of Twilight’s toy sliding in and out of her sending chills up her spine, “Oh god… fuck yes! Fuck me, Twilight!”

“Whoo, this is fun!” Twilight cried, spanking Ascentia’s rear amidst her thrusting, “Keep on yelling for me, baby!”

“Rut me, Twiley!” Ascentia gasped, shaking under her as she felt her ass sting, “Hit me again!”

“O-Oh… Okay!” Twilight did so, thrusting harder and then slapping her other cheek.

“Oh god, that’s good,” Ascentia moaned, rocking her hips in time with Twilight’s thrusts, “That’s… soooo good! Fuck me harder, Twilight!”

Thrusting faster, harder, Twilight moaned loudly as the vibrating wedge heightened her own levels of pleasure as well. She gripped Ascentia’s hips tightly, groaning, occasionally spanking them and leaving angry red handprints.

“Yeah, you like that, huh? You like to be fucked hard!” Twilight cried out.

“Yes! I love it! I love being fucked senseless!” Ascentia cried, shaking violently.

“Whoo! Then I shall make it so!” Twilight squealed, turning the vibrator onto a higher setting.

Ascentia’s body convulsed and she threw her face into the pillow, letting out a shrill screech and instinctively pressing her backside against Twilight’s pelvis, dripping onto the blanket, “FUCK! Twilight… I’m gonna cum!”

“YES! Then cum, you little slut!” Twilight moaned, leaning over her.

Shivering, Ascentia moaned and came hard, squirting out onto the bedspread and sinking down onto her pillow, moaning softly, “Yes…”

After a few more thrusts, Twilight came as well, falling over her body, “Wonderful…”

Ascentia leaned her head up and nuzzled her, “That was… amazing…”

Giggling, Twilight pulled out of her and then lay on the bed beside her, panting, “You’re right, that was fun… A lot of fun… What a way to start back again!”

Ascentia reached an arm over and snuggled up to her, “Yeah… yeah it is…”

Epilogue: Scorched It Off With The Iron

Twilight snapped out of her thoughts as she held Ascentia’s sleeping form against her, turning her arm over to see her tattoo.

It wasn’t there.

Confused, she checked the other arm, it wasn’t there either.

“Kitten, wake up,” Twilight said, somewhat concerned.

“Mmm… what?” Acentia asked.

“Back in high school you got a tattoo of my star symbol on your arm,” Twilight explained, “What happened to it?”

Ascentia yawned and turned over, “Uh… last January, you scorched it off with the iron…” Ascentia sighed and snuggled up against her.

Crestfallen, Twilight looked away, “Oh… I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be, the burn healed a while ago,” Ascentia said through her drowsiness and held up her arm, “See? They told us the synthetic skin grafts would blend in with my arm, and they did.”

“Still… It was nice,” Twilight sighed, patting the spot gently, “I ruined it for you. You can’t even have a tattoo without me ruining it.”

“Hmm… well, I could get another one. Maybe right over my back this time,” Ascentia said with a smile.

Twilight looked puzzled, “But then you wouldn’t see it. Not unless you looked in the mirror by having your back facing it and contorting yourself.”

“No,” Ascentia smirked, nuzzling into Twilight’s chest, “But you could see it given the right circumstances.”

“Well, yes, but, it’s no fun if you can’t share it either,” Twilight pouted.

“Fine, I won’t get the tattoo,” Ascentia shrugged, “Probably too much scar tissue to get one anyway.”

Twilight cringed, “Right, no kidding…”

“You okay?” Ascentia asked groggily, “It’s 3 in the morning and you’re still awake.”

“Sorry… I was just… thinking back to when we were in high school,” Twilight murmured, rolling onto her side.

Ascentia smiled and tried to turn her back over, “Yeah, that was… a crazy time. Hey, turn back over, why’d you stop cuddling?”

“Sorry,” Twilight rolled back around, “I don’t know, I’m a little frazzled.”

“Over what?” Ascentia asked, snuggling back up to her, sighing contentedly.

“The way I treated you even back then…” Twilight murmured, exhaling, “Breaking up with you like Edward did Bella…"

"Don't you ever compare me to that bitch ever again."

"Then progressively taking you for granted and smacking you… How it all came to… everything else. I was telling Doctor Firebrand about our high school experience today, anyway. I guess that was a whole new set of memories I was trying to forget…”

“It’s alright,” Ascentia smiled, nuzzling her neck, “It’s all in the past.”

Smiling sadly, Twilight ran a hand along her hair, “I know… I know…”

Ascentia wrapped her arms tightly around Twilight’s midsection, grinning as she nuzzled into her warmth, “Good. Cause I don’t like seeing your pretty face upset. I want you to be happy, not worrying about stuff I already forgave you for. I love you, Twiley.”

“I… love you too, Asy,” Twilight murmured, kissing her cheek, “I’ll try. But that’s what this is all about, making sure I can move past all of it. And it’s working…”

Ascentia grinned and cooed cutely, snuggling her tighter, “I’m glad, sweetheart. Now get some sleep before dawn.”

“Okay,” Twilight chuckled a bit, smiling.
