The battle of Demeter was going to be a turning point in the war in the Frontier. For the IMC, it was a chance to crush the backbone of the Militia and begin to restore Order. For the Militia, it was a chance to seperate the Frontier from the Core Worlds and ensure Freedom.

The Militia proved victorious, rigging the refueling reactors to blow and take most of the planet with it. During the final hour of the battle, the IMC cancelled the evacuation ships for the Pilots and Grunts still groundside, effectively sealing their fate. As the IMC ships moved to a safe distance, everything groundside was engulfed in a blinding, brilliant flash of light.

Included were the three Pilots of Reaver Squad and their Titans. Waking up to find themselves scattered in a forest on an unknown world, they rally together, only to find out that they are not alone here.
