Speculum walked through town, seeing ponies waving, but ignoring them. Her quest was much more important than seeing everyone. She soon heard several gasps and some ponies ran past her as a small black colt walked past them. He had a small horn and a dark red mane. He looked alone. Speculum looked and took pity on him. She walked over, "Hello?"

The colt stared at her, "Y'ar! Who are thee!?"

"Y'ar?" Speculum lowered her body, "Who are you?"

"Name's Jolly Roger. I'm a pirate!"

Speculum couldn't help but eye him, "Are you sure? You don't seem very pirate like to me."

"I am too a pirate! I am the great-great grandson of Captain Blackhoof." Speculum stared. Blackhoof was the stallion to kill her great-grandmother. She sought revenge against him, but knew she shouldn't hurt such a small colt.

"That's really impressive. I'm Speculum Heart."

"OOH~! I HEARD ABOUT THE HEARTS~! They're supposed to be a bunch of rich ponies who all live in Canterlot! HEY, EVERYPONY, SHE'S A HEART!" Speculum screamed as all ponies gasped and ran to her, trying to shake hooves with her.

"Maybe I should rethink killing the little guy..."
