Chapter 8: What Should I Do?

          "I'm so sorry Octavia!!!!" BonBon shouted well squeezing Octavia.

"Umm BonBon could you let me go you're hurting me" Octavia wheezed  while under the weight of the earth pony.

"Oh I'm sorry.... Again." She said sheepishly while letting go of Octavia.

"For what?" Octavia asked. "For crushing me." She coughed well catching her breath.

"Well that and for leaving at the club last night." She said poking at the ground. And like that the events of last night replayed them self in Octavia's head again. If it weren't for them she wouldn't have to be dealing with the unicorn she was supposed to 'hangout' with tomorrow.

"Oh yeah" she said as she remembered seeing them walking out the door to the club."Oh yeah!" She repeated furious. "What were you to doing we, were barley there for 10 minutes before you left!" She shouted.

"Well actually Lyra was there for an hour before we showed up, and you know I'm kind of a light weight. I'm so sor....." Octavia caught her off.

"Great just, great now because of you to have to 'hangout' with some mare I met yesterday who I barley even know and...." This time BonBon cut her off.  

"Wait you met someone! Oh Octavia I'm so happy for you... Wait you said mare oh I'm even happier I know you said you thought you were a fillyfooler but I didn't expect you to come out of the closet that quickly oh I'm so happ...." BonBon was cut off by Octavia shoving her hoof into her mouth.

"Will you keep it down I'm not going on a date especially with a mare." She whispered. She then looked around to make sure no pony was looking.

"Buht ooo shed..." BonBon said Octavia's hoof still in her mouth.

"Sshhhh I know what I said but were not going on a date were just hanging out." Octavia replied as she took her hoof out of BonBon's mouth. BonBon after spitting sort of confused said "Then I don't see what the problem is, if your just hanging out."

"The problem is that I don't want another...." Octavia then looked away.

"Hey come on you can tell me were friends. Here fallow me let's sit down and you can tell me what's bothering you." BonBon then lead Octavia to sit on a bench. They, then sat down and BonBon began to speak." So what were you saying you don't want another what?" BonBon asked sincerely.

"I don't want another pony to be my friend." She said sadly.

"Why not it's great to have a bunch of friends and by what I can tell me and Lyra are your only ponies you hangout with." She told Octavia."I think you could use some more friends."

"No you don't understand.... I can't have any other friends." Octavia replied.

"You can't or you don't want any more friends." She told Octavia.

"No, you really don't understand." She then looked up at BonBon, and told her every thing. She told her how they earn her trust and then just leave, how every time they she made a friend in the end they just turn there backs on her when they find out that they can't benefit from her. Every time she meets some pony they think she's rich like her parents, and then when they find out that she's not they leave her feeling hurt and betrayed.

"Octavia.....you know me and Lyra would never do that right?"BonBon said sincerely.

"I know but...that's the problem...so far in my life you and Lyra are the only ponies I can trust. It's sad but true. I haven't met any other pony who's showed me more friendship than you two and I thank you for that." Octavia then leaned forward to hug BonBon which BonBon gladly accepted.

"So what are you going to do?" BonBon asked well retrieving from the hug.

"Well I honestly don't know." She replied.

"Well why not give her a chance I mean you gave me and Lyra a chance and look how we turned out." BonBon. Said grinning.

"Well I suppose it wouldn't hurt." Octavia said scratching her chin.

"Hey, who knows maybe your little date will have a happy ending."BonBon said moving her eyebrows up and down.

"Oh shush you I already told you it's not a date and besides this mare is....I guess not my type." Octavia said thinking about Vinyl.

"What's her name maybe I know her?" BonBon asked curiously.

"Her names Vinyl Scratch or what did she say ummmmm.......oh yes DJ-Pon3." Octavia answered.

"WHAT!!!!!" BonBon yelled." Your going on a date wit DJ-Pon3!!!!!" BonBon yelled.

"BonBon keep your voice down!!!" Octavia shouted in an attempt to quiet her. She looked around luckily they had only caught the attention of a few ponies." One it's not a date, and two why is it a big deal?" Octavia asked.

"Why is it a big deal she's as famous as you are!" BobBon yelled excitedly.

"Them how come I've never heard of her?" Octavia asked.

"Well she's as famous as you when it comes to dubstep and wubs." She replied.

"So basically that popular music." She said in a dead tone.

"Yeah!!!" BonBon said excitedly.

"Oh great." Octavia said frustrated.

"What?" BonBon asked confused.

"You know I can't stand that type of music BonBon." She replied."Maybe I should cancel."

"Oh no you don't." BonBon said.

"What?" Octavia asked confused.

"A pony like her is just what you need."

"I don't fallow."

"Look Octavia I don't mean to be mean but let's face it excitement is something that is lacking in your life. So I think you know with the pony like her in your life you could have an exciting life and experience new things do anything."

"I don't know BonBon." Octavia said doubtfully.  

"Come just give her a chance." BonBon pleaded. After thinking for a while Octavia decided hey what could go wrong.

"Alright BonBon, but I swear if something bad happens." Octavia warned.
