It was dark, the moon shining brightly beside the stars, illuminating the forest.

Bruce wandered across the forest, fleeing from wild animals and trying to find some form of intelligent life- surely he couldn't be the only pony in this universe... could he?

He trekked for hours more until he collapsed, unable to walk further. He took shelter under a tree, but he couldn't sleep, as the pain from his broken leg kept him awake. Bruce sat in silence until the sun started to rise up above the clouds, and he continued to walk. He limped until the sky was orange and he was suffering from exhaustion, and he tripped, unable to get back up. The last thing he heard was singing. The voice was light and beautiful, and it calmed him down.

At least I'll die listening to someone.

He fainted.

Bruce opened his eyes. He was lying on a bed, staring at a ceiling. It was a dull beige, and he sighed. He tried to get up, but gasped in pain as his leg wound sent a shock up his body. Bruce lay back down, and realized that he was in a hospital. How had he gotten here? He twisted his head to the left. A curtain blocked his view, but he heard a man coughing behind it.

Who the hell is that?

A door opened from behind the curtain. There was a clopping sound that Bruce assumed to be walking.

"Doc..." The man rasped. "I been shot..."

"Yes," a voice replied. "You're in stable condition, though, and we expect you to be fully healed in a week."

Bruce turned his head to face the ceiling again.

They have guns here?

The doctor walked from behind the curtain, and stood at the side of Bruce's bed. The doctor smiled, and tapped Bruce on the his hand- er, hoof.

"How are you feeling?" The doctor asked calmly.

"Good, I guess," Bruce coughed. He looked up at the doctor. "What are we?"

The doctor deadpanned.

"Um, we're ponies..." He explained cautiously. The doctor found no evidence of a head injury. Maybe this pony was crazy.

"Who are you?" Bruce asked, a look of innocence on his face.

"Your doctor." He responded, confused.

"How did I get here?"

"You were brought in by a Pegasus pony by the name of Fluttershy. You should be thankful, considering the fact that she saved your life." The doctor frowned. "She found you in the Everfree forest."

"Where am I?" Bruce asked.

"Ponyville. You're in Ponyville."

Bruce resumed staring back at the ceiling, a blank look on his face. The doctor shook his head and trotted behind the curtain and out the door.   Next Chapter: Rainbow Dash Estimated time remaining: 19 Minutes
