(Next day)

Twilight walked through the streets in the early morning in her suit with a small smile looking at the peace around her before it turned to a frown as she looked at the stupidity and ignorance of these ponies that know nothing of the suffering that happens in the world.

"Hello ma'am how are you this morning?" She turned to see a young stallion smiling at her from a store that he was just opening as another mare came out and smiled at her.

"Good morning." She nodded to her getting one in return.

"Good day." With that Twilight continued on her way to explore what was barely saved by two of her former friends. She smiled a little at that as she saw a few fillies running past her while their mothers ran after them.

'This is what I want to accomplish for my people, true peace.' She smiled picturing sparkling streets her children grown and married while her grandchildren gathered around her to listen to stories after she passed on the title of Boss to her son.

She smiled wide at that looking at his handsome face standing tall and proud as he led the city into a golden age. Her day dream was brought to a halt when she felt something run into her leg, she looked down and smiled at the little unicorn who was rubbing her head.

"Ow."

"Are you alright dear?" Twilight smiled helping the child up getting a smile from the filly.

"Yes ma'am I'm ok." She chirped but winced when she took a step.

"Here stay still and I'll take care of that for you." Twilight gave a comforting smile as the filly let her take her arm while Twilight's eyes changed to a calming blue while the filly watched amazed as the wound quickly healed till Twilight let go.

"WOW! I didn't know that unicorns could do that!" She cheered as Twilight patted her head.

"Sorry sweetie but I'm a special case." Twilight smiled getting up and walking away towards the Crystal castle.

Once there Twilight sighed as she moved through the halls of the castle passing her brothers and sister in laws room when she heard voices coming from the others side. She stood next to the door and listened to see if she could hear anything that would help her in her quest.

(With Shining and Cadence)

"Cadence what can I say to her? Oh sorry about the wedding thing totally my bad so we're good right?" He groaned feeling his wife rub his back.

"Shiny I know Twilight will forgive you but you have to let go of the image of the little mare you knew, she's changed far more than we could have thought and we have no one to blame but ourselves." Cadence nuzzled him hearing a sigh escape him while he looked back at her with tears in his eyes.

"But how Cadence? My baby sister hates me how can I possibly make it up to her after what we did to her? By the gods Cadence she was raped, she killed and Celestia knows what else she had to do to survive with Spike. By Luna the things that poor boy had to watch happen to Twilight and feel so useless, I don't know if I will ever forgive myself for what we did to them honey." He sniffled turning completely to face her burying his muzzle in her mane.

"I know sweetie but if Twilight truly hated you do you think she would come all this way to make up with us and be a family again?" Cadence asked as he looked up at her with hope.

"So what should we do?" She gave a smile to him running her hoof through his mane.

"Why don't go and ask Twilight out for dinner just the two of you and talk privately. Get to know her again see what she's been through and for the gods don't act like you understand what she's gone through Shining. Ask her about her children, about Spike and her city try to just talk to her and understand the new mare in front of you." Cadence smiled down at him while he nodded pulling her into a searing kiss.

"Thank you Cade, for putting up with this fool of a stallion." He smiled getting up and heading to the door.

(With Twilight)

Twilight sighed as she sat down and looked up at the stars after she flashed away when she heard her brother moving to the door.

'Hm a dinner huh? I feel so much anger for them all, can I really forgive them? Mom help me out here I don't know what to do.' She thought holding a glass of wine before moving into her room and caught a small flash of gold from her saddle bags. She moved over and choked on a sob finding the locket that her mother gave her and read the words on the inside next to a photo with her, Spike, and Odin smiling.

[Twilight my child, remember that friends come and go but the bond of family will never break no matter how bad it gets in life. With love your mother]

Twilight smiled wiping a tear just as the door opened turning to see Shining Armor with a nervous look on his face.

"Um Twilight I was wondering if you wanted to come with me for dinner tonight just the two of us so we can talk. I want to really get to know you and see how you changed." He said still looking down at the floor.

"I'll meet you at bottom of the stairs tonight then at 7pm, don't be late." She watched him look up and smile a little while she felt a little of her anger fade away letting a small smile come to her face.

"I won't." He beamed and rushed out the door closing it behind him as she went and grabbed her best dress.

(7 pm top of the castle stairs)

Shining checked over his suit for the 6th time that night before he descended the stair and saw to his surprise his beautiful baby sister standing in a dress.

Shining was stunned before shaking his head and smiled as she turned giving a small smile of her own.

"Hello Shining." Twilight smiled at the pin stripe black and blue tux he was in.

"Wow Twilight you look beautiful." He smiled stepping beside her getting a thankful smile from her.

"Thanks, so where are we going?" She asked getting a smile from him.

"Well there is this place that just opened up not far from here that's suppose to be really great." He looked over at her while she nodded and motioned for him to lead the way.

The two walked in silence while Shining was nervous and didn't know what to say.

"When was Starbolt born Shining?" Twilight asked suddenly making him blink before give a wide smile.

"About 6 years ago, oh Twilight it was the best day of my life watching her grow and I can't wait to be there for her as she continues to grow day after day. She was born in October on 15, mom was so happy to finally have a grandchild to spoil and so was dad." He smile remembering happy days before he frowned.

"But it always felt empty because you weren't there Twilight I know every night mom would cry after she watched Star open her presents. Time at home just wasn't the same without you." He sighed as she remained silent.

"She cried for me?" He barely heard her making him look at her.

"Yes she did, when the news came that the search was called off for you mom became an emotional wreck she didn't sleep, she barely ate she was a mess till Starbolt was born and that was when I saw some life come back into her Twilight when she held her. I think it was like holding you all over again." He said watching as she nodded.

"I see. I thought that you just didn't care that I was finally out of your mane and after everything that's happened to me and Spike, I just didn't care anymore." She looked up at Shining who was looking down.

"We never forgot you Twilight, we told stories to Starbolt about you and how your old friends saved the day or just stories when we were young. She loves the one about you saving Princess Luna and wants to be like you one day." He smiled watching a sad smile cross Twilight's face.

"I just hope she doesn't have to deal with the same things I had to, not just the exile or what I suffered when I first arrived in the city but the times we had to put our lives on the line to save everyone." She looked up watching Shining nod as they rounded a corner and a building that had neon lights showing the name of the restaurant on the outside of a large crystal cut in the shape of a castle.

"Come on we'll continue this inside." Shining smiled waving her to hurry up.

ok so I think what's going to happen is I'm going to be updating with smaller chapters from now on, I know it's not something I would normally do but I see no other alternative till I can get the ball rolling on this story again. So until then please enjoy.
