Chapter 1: Head-first

It was a dark and stormy night in Equestria thanks to the Pegasi ponies who provided the weather for the nation, everypony had taken refuge in their homes including one Twilight Sparkle of Ponyville.

Everypony in Ponyville knew who she was, she was the Pony who lead herself and 5 others to defeat Nightmare Moon and Discord when they attacked Equestria and assisted in the defeat in Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra. She was also the town librarian who always had her head buried in a book of some sort of magical study as the student of Princess Celestia herself, she often helped the town with certain Chaotic things that happen occasionally even if they are caused by Twilight herself.

Twilight Sparkle was in her usual spot reading yet another book with her number one assistant, Spike keeping the books in order when suddenly, a strange purple lightning flash filled the sky and illuminating the library which made Twilight look up and out of the window as a scream rang.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!” screamed something from outside

And then...

THUD!

“What in the name of Celestia was that?” asked Twilight to herself mostly

“I dunno Twilight but that sounded like trouble” said Spike heading to the door

When Twilight and Spike went out to the heavy rain to check what it was they were unpleasantly surprised to see something quite strange: A weird Bipedal like creature was face down but the thing that horrified the pair was that it was bleeding a lot of blood most especially from the head and it was naturally assumed that this creature was in serious trouble.

Wasting no time, Twilight flared her horn with a Magenta colour of magic to lift the creature carefully inside onto the nearest bed which already was staining with blood. There was no time for error as the creature seemed to be in life and death mode and Twilight knew she had to what she had to do

“Spike, I need you to run as fast as you can to the Hospital and get Nurse Redheart or anypony from the Hospital to get here as fast as possible” ordered Twilight urgently

“On it” replied Spike and he disappeared out the door

Twilight Sparkle was no expert at first aid but she read a lot of theory and the instructions about it and it was time to put it into practice and hold at as long as she could as she knew she could not do this herself but desperate times called for desperate measures as Twilight started wrapping bandages and healing spells at once.

As she started, she got a better look at the creature, it was with natural assumption that it was a he for starters, it was wearing clothes in the weirdest style Twilight ever witnessed. Around the top of the creature were two “Arms” with five claw like things sticking out of each arm and there were definite feet but there was some shoes covering his feet so she could not see what it had. His face was much like a pony’s but it looked different but it’s “Mane” was kind of a blonde like colour and it was short but untidy to the point Rarity would flip out if she ever saw him like this.

After around 10 minutes, Spike returned with Nurse Redheart and a few other Doctors and Nurses who kept pressure on certain wounds and took the creature to the hospital to fix him up as Twilight relaxed slightly after doing so much work to keep the creature alive.

“I really hope the poor thing is okay, I can’t help but worry despite trying my best to keep him alive”

“Uh Twilight? Not to sound rude but you should probably wash yourself up” suggested Spike

“Why? What’s wrong with me?” asked Twilight not noticing the blood on her

“You’re covered in blood, lots of blood of an unknown creature” pointed out Spike

“Oh, I suppose you’re right” said Twilight noticing

True, Twilight did have blood on her coat and mane from trying to save the creature and she did not know if the creature has any diseases or anything that can pass on so she wisely went to wash up.

After a good wash, Twilight could not help but wonder so many things about the mysterious creature. What was it? Who was he? How did he fall from the sky? Will he be alright? And just where did he come from?

“Twilight, are you okay? You’ve been pacing in this room for 15 minutes now” said Spike

“I wish I was but I can’t help but wonder…” Twilight trailed off

“That creature’s got you curious hasn’t he?” asked Spike

“He would get anypony curious Spike, he’s never been seen before in the history of Equestria and he just fell out of the sky for reasons none of us can understand and it just raises more questions about his being! I guess I’ll have to make a checklist of things to ask him when he’s better” said Twilight muttering the last part

“I get it okay? But you don’t need to worry, Ponyville hospital has never let anypony down before and there is no reason it shouldn’t now” assured Spike

“I needed that, thanks Spike” thanked Twilight feeling a lot better

Spike, now that the tension was over was starting to feel tired as he let out a huge yawn.

“Yaaaaawwwwwnnn! Well I need some sleep” said Spike

“I need some as well it’s…11:30 already?” said Twilight

The pair of them went to the bed or in Twilight’s case she had to use the spare room as the creature bled over her sheets, which she wrote a reminder to wash them tomorrow morning. The dark and stormy night continued outside and the heavy rain poured down on the houses of Ponyville as sleep took control of Twilight plunging her into a dream.

Twilight’s dream…

Twilight Sparkle was walking along the town of Ponyville doing her usual business when the same purple lightning came down and down the creature fell directly in front of her. She checked it to be alright but it seemed like it was slowly dying as she did all she could to keep the creature alive and she sent Spike to get the Nurses to come and fix him up.

(Ripple effect and change of scene)

Twilight woke the next morning and a knock on the door came from the Nurse proclaiming the creature is dead which saddened Twilight greatly, she never got to know the creature, it could have been intelligent as ponies but now it’s gone and...why is it right in front of her?

“Twwwwiiiiilliiiiighhhhtt Spaaaarrrrkkkllleee!” the creature spoke in a male voice

“It’s you, you’re alive!” said Twilight gladly

“No, I am dead! Why didn’t you save me?” said the creature with a hint of anger as he towered over her

“But I did everything I could!” protested Twilight

“Why didn’t you save me?” repeated the creature even more angrily

Suddenly the creature started duplicating into more and more clones of him all chanting the same thing over and over again.

“Why didn’t you save me?”

Why didn’t you save me?”

Why didn’t you save me?”

“I tried all I could” said Twilight

“Why didn’t you save me?”

“No, Nooo” said Twilight despairing and galloping away with tears

Twilight galloped but everywhere the creature spawned until she bumped into some clones blocking her way who started shouting even louder with angry voices.

“WHY DIDN’T YOU SAVE ME!”

“WHY DIDN’T YOU SAVE ME!”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” screamed Twilight

…

“AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!” screamed Twilight as she sat up quickly waking from her nightmare, breathing heavily

“Twilight! Twilight! Are you alright? You were screaming” said Spike who rushed in

“Oh Spike it was the most horrible nightmare” said Twilight with a few tears as she was shaking slightly

It was morning in Ponyville, the sun was shining through the spare bedroom Twilight had slept in through the night. But still the thing that was bothering her was that nightmare.

Twilight remembered the nightmare, the guilt of that nightmare and she hoped that did not pass last night. After a couple of minutes together in silence, Spike spoke up.

“Do you wanna talk about it?” asked Spike

“NO! I mean no thank you Spike, last night was a long night and I need to check on that creature” said Twilight getting up

"Well if you want to, I'll be here" said Spike kindly

Twilight proceeded to exit the room leaving Spike so confused about her behavior and felt a tad worried about her as he watched her exit the library to check on the creature.

“That creature has really gotten to Twilight hasn’t it?”

Chapter 2: Awakening

Twilight Sparkle had quickly washed herself over and brushed her mane and tail so it was in its usual state before heading out to the hospital to see the creature but she bumped into one her best friends.

“Hey Twilight!” greeted a Rainbow-maned Pegasus that could only be Rainbow Dash

“Oh, hello Rainbow Dash” said Twilight slightly distracted

“Twilight, are you okay? Your eyes look like they’ve barely had any sleep” asked Dash noticing Twilight being distracted

“I’m fine” said Twilight which was half-true as her thoughts were still on the creature

“You look like the time Future Twilight told you about a non-existent disaster” said Dash starting to get a little concerned

“I’m fine Rainbow, It’s just yesterday was so busy” muttered Twilight

“Whatever you say, oh and you haven’t seen a new pony around Ponyville have you? Pinkie’s been going crazy over that” asked Dash

“No, I haven’t” said Twilight telling another half-lie

“Anyway, I’m gonna be practicing! Gotta keep the Wonderbolt figure up!” said Dash speeding off with a Rainbow Trail behind her

Twilight Sparkle watched Rainbow Dash leave and then proceeded to her original destination of the Ponyville hospital, which was right next to her as she entered to find Nurse Redheart already waiting for Twilight.

“Twilight! I was wondering when you were coming, I have news about the creature you brought in” said Redheart

“How is he?” asked Twilight with concern

“Well from what we gather of the creature, he hit his head at almost terminal velocity that caused some extensive damage to his memory, he is very lucky to be alive and it's a miracle the damage he got was the way it was as it should of been much worse. We tried a memory spell to get the memory back but only one memory appeared. What confused us is that we saw the last thing he remembered which was falling down but he should of died from that height and his bones are broken and healing” explained Redheart

"Will he get his memory back?" asked Twilight

"He will over time, but it may be possible some memories will never come back due to the damage but luck alone has saved his life as his structure is nowhere near as resilient to fall damage as a Pegasus is" explained Redheart

“Can I go see him?” asked Twilight

“Of course but the poor dear has been heavily bandaged up and needs a lot of rest” said Redheart

Twilight Sparkle entered the room with the creature who still had his eyes closed and quite clearly unconscious but at least there was a pulse and that he’s alive, Twilight felt somewhat relieved but there was still a cloud of mystery about this creature. Nurse Redheart had said his memory would be gone but Twilight nonetheless flared her horn with magic and tried the spell, but last night was all she found…

Last night…

The creature was walking a dark path in the middle of a forest at night, why he was doing such a thing was beyond Twilight’s knowledge but anger was sensed within the memory so the creature must be angered by something or somepony.

A sudden white light was seen taking the creature and within an instant he fell high from the sky at an alarming pace!

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!”

SMACK!

Black was all that could be seen once he hit the ground and Twilight knew what happened next, she found the creature outside her door.

…

Sympathy for the creature filled Twilight Sparkle as she watched the creature be taken by some light against his will and forced him to his state right now.

“Urgh…” the creature was stirring

“He’s awake already? Not even Rainbow Dash would wake up from that one so fast!”

“Where…? Where am I? Who am I? Why does my head fill so…empty?” asked the creature very confused

A soft deep voice came out the creature and as soon as he spoke, Twilight stood momentarily amazed it was speaking perfect Equish but that’s impossible as such a creature has never been seen in Equestria! Princess Celestia will need to know of this development as soon as she gets back to the library.

“Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle” said Twilight deciding to introduce herself

“My name is..is…what is my name? I CAN’T REMEMBER MY OWN NAME! Oh what is wrong with me?” replied the creature despairing slightly

“Hey, easy there! You hit your head high from a distance so you got Amnesia” explained Twilight trying to calm him down

“Am-what now?” asked the creature

“Well you fell from the sky and then you were brought here and you can’t remember a thing” said Twilight

“Well I’m sure I can remember something…hmmm…well…nothing…oh just great! The only thing I ever remember is some weird light taking me and some falling sensation then…nothing” the creature recollected his last memory

“Nothing else?” asked Twilight eagerly hoping for something more

“Nothing, just what happened? And now I’ve hit my head so hard that you’re apparently a talking purple pony with some horn on her head” said the creature

“Um…this is real” said Twilight as though it were obvious

“You really mean that?” asked the creature

“Yes” answered Twilight

“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!” yelled the creature

“Well it’s just that I’ve never seen something like you before, you just sort of crashed here” explained Twilight

“So I’m from another world? Cool! I come in peeeaaaceee!” said the creature weirdly

Twilight couldn't help but give a weird look as the creature said his last sentence in a weird way that reminded her of a certain Party pony she knew...

"This creature is really giving Pinkie Pie a run for her bits in weirdness”

“So…Twilight right?” said the creature after a good 10 seconds

“That’s correct” confirmed Twilight

“Twilight…do you know where I am at the very least?” said the creature curiously

“You are in the town of Ponyville in the land of Equestria” explained Twilight

“That doesn’t ring any bells…I wish I knew more! Stupid Amnesia! I want my memories back!” said the creature sitting up

“You’ll want to rest up, if you get up you’ll just hurt yourself” warned Twilight

“Well I’m not finding any answers in this old dump” said the creature moving to get up

“You must rest” insisted Twilight

“But Twiiillliiigghht! Hospitals are boring! They’re all grey and I swear they have some sort of Time-slowing device built in them” pouted the creature

“You’ll hurt yourself more and you’ll be in here longer” said Twilight

“Fine…you win!” said The creature resting again

“That’s better” said Twilight

Twilight looked at the creature who was determined to get out, he clearly hated this memory loss and wanted the memories back that’s for sure. But one cannot do so if their bones are broken! However, the creature suddenly had a small memory come back to him

An unknown point in the past…

The creature was sitting in a hospital bed not unlike the one in Ponyville but there were not ponies, there were his kind. The ones next to his bed must be either doctors of friends or family or something…no memory came to who they were. What's more is that the creature felt slightly younger than he was now by about...he guessed 3 or 4 years. The creature seemed to have his leg broken as bandages were all around the right leg.

“Why are these hospitals all grey and all? It’s so depressing!” complained the creature

“It’s not that bad, but you’ll be better in no time” said a older female creature assuring the creature

“Seriously, why can’t technology just instantly heal us? We live in the year 2009 and we still can’t get all those cool future stuff!” the creature ranted

“Well J-“ said the older one before the memory cut out

The creature couldn't help but feel frustrated at the memory cutting out as that could of been his name he could of found out but the memory had different ideas...

2 days later…

When Twilight had returned, something remarkable and odd had happened over the last two days. The creature was almost completely healed, which should be impossible for any creature to do much to the surprise of the creature himself

“Wait, you mean to tell me…that I’m healed…almost?” asked the creature as though this was some scam scheme of some kind

“That’s what I’m saying” said Twilight

“I don’t know what to say but thank GOD!” said the creature

“Who’s God?” asked Twilight

“I have no idea, it just came to my head I suppose, oh I don’t know!” said the creature

“It’s quite alright, these memories will come in time, patience is a virtue my mentor always said” said Twilight

“Well this virtue stuff is killing me! Why can’t I just magically get all my memories back?” said the creature annoyed

“Magic does not solve every little problem contrary to Pegasi and Earth pony belief” said Twilight

“Well it does a damn lot from what I see, I see you all using to “force” on those objects you lift up” said the creature

“It’s telekinesis, it’s part of the magical power and all Unicorns know this spell, it’s something that just everypony knows much like a Pegasus that can fly” said Twilight correcting the creature

The creature stared at Twilight remembering all those things she did with that horn of hers, it first freaked him out but it grown on him but it didn’t stop him wishing he could have those powers. But one other thing that intrigued the creature was that Tatoo like mark he saw on everypony’s flank and finally the yearn to know about it took over.

“Say Twilight?” said the creature after another five minutes

“Yes?” answered Twilight

“That mark on your flank? What is it?” asked the creature

For some reason Twilight blushed slightly at the question ,which gave a slight concept it may be awkward but nonetheless Twilight answered the question.

“Oh this mark? This is a cutie mark, when we find our special talent we gain a Cutie Mark to show we’ve found it, no two Cutie Marks are the same and it makes it very easy to tell one pony from another, you earn it in fillyhood, which I must say was such a nightmare before I came Celestia’s student and…” Twilight rambled on

As Twilight rambled on, the creature got a little bored as he knew the answer but Twiight’s long-winded discussion was boring the crap out of him. Thankfully Nurse Redheart came in and announced some results.

“Well Mr. No-Name, it seems you are completely healed up and in unbelievable speeds I might add, but I must ask you come back in a week just for a check-up” announced Redheart

“So I’m free to go?” asked the Creature

“Yes” answered the Nurse

“YES! Come on Twilight let’s…let’s…” started the creature before realizing something was missing

“What’s wrong?” asked Twilight

“Where are the rest of my clothes?” asked the creature who realized he was only in underwear

“Well we had to rip your top clothes off to get to your wounds in time but the rest is in that cupboard over there” explained Redheart

1 minute later…

“Finally! Let’s get out there and find some memories!” said the creature who could hardly wait

“(Sniff) You might need a shower, come on then, I’ll bring you to my place” said Twilight leading on

“This is getting weirder all the time” muttered the Creature
