Chapter 1

The chamber door slammed shut. It wrenched Imperial out of his trance. He had been staring at yet another graffitied portrait of Her Majesty, Princess Celestia. It was likely another town ruffian, and not Princess Luna.

“Captain,” a hunkish voice sounded from the other side of the room.

Imperial pivoted around and looked the pink stallion over. His usual, trademarked impassive stare covering the pride he was feeling over what was before him.

“I have another filly, tackled and bagged, by your orders,” Concord said, gesturing to the sack at his hooves. Whoever was inside it had ceased moving. Imperial watched it for a moment, making a mental note to have chips and dip for a snack later in the evening.

“Excellent work, Concord. I am proud of you,” Imperial eventually replied. “Perhaps soon, this plague of orphaned children will soon be cured.” He noticed Concord was staring at him expectantly. The stallion had been acting strangely around the Captain of the Guard. Due to Imperial’ highly keen senses, he had knew why, and it made him hot under his proverbial collar.

Recently, the Society of Orphaned, and Unwanted Ponies had lashed out at the common society. They had taken to vandalising buildings with hoof paints, loitering, and replacing all forms of fun with board games with pieces missing.

Concord cleared his throat, “The reward, Captain? This is my fifth foal this week.”

Imperial nodded quickly, “Oh, yes! I---”

“I was thinking of a different reward.” Concord shook his head to the side, allowing his mane to flick through the night air. He turned to the side, eyeing his superior. His strong, stallionly features exaggerated by the glow of the moon.

Imperial felt his cheeks light on fire. Not literally, of course. “Excuse me?”

Concord moved closer to the captain, “Don’t play coy with me, Captain. You know exactly what I mean!” He pressed his muzzle up against the other pony’s, “I see you, watching me from afar. You’re so stern... but that's not who you truly are. Drop this pretence, Imperial. For tonight. Let us enjoy this wonderful evening.”

There was a loud crash outside, followed by two screams. Imperial glanced toward the door, turning toward it. “No, Concord. Not tonight. I fear that a foals hav overheard us, and have jumped to their deaths. Under Princess Sparkle’s orders, we must bring them to her for testing.”

Concord moved quickly, standing in front of the unicorn again, raising his wings to block the guard’s path, “Then we should go where no filly can hear us. Princess Luna is busy in the evenings, and her room is all but abandoned. Let us go there.”

Imperial could feel Concord’s hot breath on his neck. It made him sweat. He tried to gather his nerve, consciously forcing his impassive stare to remain as stagnant as possible.

Concord could tell that behind those cold, dark eyes that Imperial was fighting his own biological lust and desire. Concord’s heart skipped a beat as he realised that Imperial loved him too. There was no denying it.

Imperial steeled himself. The words moved to the very tip of his tongue. He would tell Concord to simply stop existing in front of him, and return to his duties. He turned to face the stallion in front of him, opening his mouth to bark the order to his subordinate. He stopped.

Concord stood there with that cool, confident expression he often wore. He wiggled his eyebrows as stared into Imperial’s eyes. He knew. They knew. They had to have each other.

Without a word, Concord led Imperial to Princess Luna’s guest room. As expected, it was completely empty. Princess Luna seldom had guests. It was here that the hunkish stallion turned around swiftly and met his lips with Imperial’s. Their lips met hotly, melting the icy heart of even the coldest warrior. Even Sombra, ever watching in his polka dot boxers, became envious.

Imperial’s world melted around him. He could feel himself floating as Concord’s leathery stallion lips met to his. The dark, marble walls of Canterlot Castle disappeared, only to be replaced by a vision of flowers and rainbows. For the first time in his life, Imperial felt love.

“Oh, Concord... I never knew you felt this way,” Imperial said saucily as he took his armour off.

Concord waited patiently, watching his soon-to-be fling undress. He batted his eyes a few more times at him, making the Captain to undress faster.

“Kiss me, you strong, beautiful hunk,” Imperial said loudly as he pounced upon the pony.

Two figures sat outside, peering into the room. One giggled madly, while the other simply sat there, her wings slowly unfurling.

“Are you sure you haven’t taken this too far? What will they think in the morning?” Princess Twilight Sparkle questioned, finally managing to disengage her gaze from the scene.

Princess Luna “Oh, Twilight, you are looking into this far too deeply. In the morning, they will awaken together and enjoy their lives anew!”

“But Concord isn’t even real!”

“Is he not? Princess Twilight, I would think that you of all ponies would understand that true love transcends all understanding. If Captain Imperial wishes to spend the rest of his life, happily partnered to his dream of Concord, then he should be allowed to!”

Twilight blushed, “That scroll was different. And it was animate!”

“Indeed,” Luna replied with a sly grin, “And we saw every moment. Now, if you are finished questioning, perhaps you should turn your attention back toward the scene in front of us. As I can see, we are only beginning to see the good part.”

The two Princesses turned their attention to the saucy, sweaty and extremely hot scene that was playing out before them, as the stallion and his dream date did the naughty. They did not stop for the entire night.

It was easily one of the greatest things to ever happen in the kingdom of Equestria.
