Chaper One
I woke up slowly. I blinked twice and took my head. I could barley walk. I put on my work clothes without opening my eyes. I locked my door and headed off to work.
"Don't wurry everyponee ahm here." I said. Sounding like I was stoned.
"Holy Celestia. You look great!" Leonty said (My best friend)
" Ha, Ha... That was HILARIOUS!" I said. Opening my eyes.
One of the other co-workers who hated me walked up to me snigering.
"Lady's man allright!" He said burting into laughter.
Leonty pushed past him frowning. "Maybe you should take today off."
"Wise up." I said allmost falling over.
The other co-workers were howling with laughter.
I glared over at them. "Maybe I will just go home." I said. Lowering my head.
"I'll cover you!" Leonty announced. Beaming with joy.
I was heading out the door when three ponies pushed me out of the way as they were entering.
"Yo, Royj! There's that bender from two weeks ago!" One of them shouted.
I thought they were talking about me, I smung round and opened my mouth. "Hey! I'm striaghter them you'll ever be!" But I saw Leonty in a corner with his head down. Then I remebered a couple of months back he admitted he was gay.
"HEY! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I yelled.
"What are you!? his boyfriend?" The middle one called out. The others were laughing.
"No, I'm straight!" I called back.
They were laughing harder now. I walked over to Leonty and told him i'll cover HIM.
He thanked me and walked out the door in tears. I looked back at the three ponies, still laughing at him as he walked out.
"You think that's FUNNY?!" I screamed.
"I think that was HILARIOUS!" The left one replied.
I jumped over the conter and pushed her. She swung her hoof at me but I ducked. I pushed her again. The other two took a step back.
"Get out." I whispered.
The three walked out in laughter. I turned to the other co-workers and saw them stepping away from me. I walked out of the Café with rage.
Chaper Two
I knocked Leonty's door with my hoof.
"LEO? YOU THERE BRO?"
No anwser.
"IT'S ME!"
I saw a pair of blue hooves open a window
"COME ON!!" I called up.
"GET BENT!!" He called back. I frowned. What did I do?
"YOU'D LIKE THAT!! WOULD'NT YOU!!?" I yelled back with anger.
I heard a small chuckle.
He poked his head out and spoke sarcasticly "OH YES!! VERY MUCH!!"
I laughed. I took a couple of steps back.
"BBBEEEENNNDDDEEEERRR!!!!" I called.
He started laughing. "RRRUUUULLLLEEERRR" he called back.
I was confused at first, then I got the joke. I laughed more. "COME DOWN 'ERE AND I'LL KICK YOUR ASS!!!"
He poked his head in and closed the window. A few seconds later her oepned the door and stood up on his hind legs waving his hooves about. "LET'S GO THEN!!". I laughed.
I stood up on my hind legs and started play-punching him. He hit me pretty hard but it wasen't too sore. I hit him a little harder and smiled. My smile melted when I saw a tear on his face. I dropped to my front hooves and apologised, walking towards him. He smiled and grabbed me in a headlock. I smiled as I faught back. When I broke free, I fell to the ground. We were both laughing. I stopped laughing when I saw one of the three at the Cafe smiling at me.
"I KNEW YOU WERE BENT!" She called.
"I'M NOT BE-" I stopped and looked at Leonty.
He had his head low and was walking towards his door.
I threw my head down and walked home.
I was greeted by my girlfriend who wasen't ment to be back for another two days.
"HIYA!!" She belowed.
"Oh, Hey..." I said sadly.
"You... you're not pleased to see me?" She whispered.
"No of corse I am!! It's just... Leonty is feeling kinda down latley."
"Oh you mean the gay one?"
"He-" I sighed. "Yes... The gay one."
"OH! I GOT AN IDEA! LETS CALL PINKIE!! WE'LL THROW HIM THE BEST PARTY EVER!!!!!" She screamed.
"Sure! Why not?" I went for the phone but it wasen't in it's charger.
I turned round and Liylic (my girlfriend) was allready talking to Pinkie Pie."
I tapped her on the sholder and pointed upstairs. She nodded.
I ran upstairs and into our bedroom. I poked around untill I found a old comic book. "Got it!" I said. Liylic poked her head around the door and asked what I was doing.
"Nothin'.... Did you get Pinkie?"
"Yeppers! She said she'll lend us her party cannon!"
"Shweet" I said in a lispy voice. Liylic always liked it when I talked like that.
Chaper Three
We waddled over to Leonty's house.
"LLLLEEEEEOOOOOO" I called.
No answer.
I opened his door and walked upstairs.
"LLLEEEEOOOO"
Liylic stayed outside.
I opened his bedroom door and he was crying on his pillow.
"Go away.." he said, head burried in his pillow.
"Hey! Leo.. look what I got!" I threw the comic over to him.
"WHHOOOAAA!!!" He screamed.
"IS THAT A NIGHTMARE NIGHT SEIRES 1 ISSUE 17 SPECIAL EDITION!?"
"Eeyup" I said in a Big Macintosh voice.
"WHY ARE YOU GIVING THIS TO ME!?" He was estatic now.
"Yu'know Liylic always said she didnt like my comics making waste of space."
"Is she with you now?" He asked
I nodded and shot down the stairs.
I met Liylic outside.
"Is he alright?" She said
"Yep! COME ON DOWN LEO!!"
Leonty shyly stepped down the stairs, not taking his eyes off Liylic.
"Hey Liylic."
"HHHEEEYYY" She said, making a duck face.
We all laughed.
I piped up. "Wanna get some coffee?"
Liylic nodded but Leo grinded his teeth together.
"C'mon Leo! It'll be fun! After we'll go to the movies." I said
Liylic smiled the biggest smile ever at me.
"Ok then!" He said, walking in front of us.
We got some coffee, talked a little. Liylic and I taked about finance and our next holiday. Me and Leo talked about how bad the coffee was. Later we went to the movies to see the new Daring Doo movie. We met Rainbow Dash and got pictures, but her friends wern't there. Liylic and I shared a medium applecorn. Leo didn't want anything even though I told him I would buy. After the movie Leo felt great and Lylic was tired. Every now and then she would bump into me because she was sleepy, then she would giggle and apologise.
"Immah go to bed." She said softly.
"I'll be up in a sec, I really like this show" I said, turning back to Hoofbusters.
I slept on the couch that night. I realised Liylic needed her sleep. Well, so did I.. but she needs it more.
Chaper Four
The next morning I felt somepony shaking me. It was Liylic. I struck up like lightning and without making eye contact, asked her the time.
"EIGHT FIFTY-SENVEN!!!" She yelled. She wasen't angry, she just didn't like to see me later for work.
"Leonty is outside waiting for you! Quickly! Here's your work clothes and i paked your lunch!!" She said, almost not taking a breath. I kissed her goodbye and shot outside.
Leo and I sprinted to the Cafe.
"Do- Do- Do you--" He was trying to ask me something but he was out of breath from running. We stopped for a second and he sat down.
"Do you think we'll get fired if we're late?" She said.
I laughed and started jumping "YUP!!!"
We got there on time, but only by a minute. I slid behind the counter and threw a mop over to Leo. "It's YOUR TURN" I said smiling. He raised the mop and lowered it again. "HORRAY!" He said sarcasticly. I opened the till and started counting.
Chaper Five
A Few customers (only four or five) bought something during our shift. The two next employees walked in talking. Leo gave the one on the left a high hoof and I gave the guy on the right a brohoof. "There's around 120 in the till." I said, pointing to the till. The pony nodded and jumped behind the counter. The other pony started re-aranging the fridge.
We were just leaving when a bright purple pony shot into the cafe.
"Whoa. What's the rush Liylic?" I said, calming her down. She was bouncing around the room with joy.
"THENEWDARINGDOOBOOKJUSTCAMEOUTANDIFORGOTMYMONEYANDIWANTYOUTOBUYMEITNOWNOWNOWNOWNOW!!" She was bouncing off the walls (Not literly of corse)
"Right! Ok! I get it! Let's Go!!" I said galoping out the door
We reached the store and the clerk brought out a golden coloured (im british :P) book.
"How much?" I asked.
"20 bits, sir." he said. I pulled out 12 bits. Lylic how much do you have?
She pulled out 3 bits. Leo? Do you have any money? He pulled out 3 bits.
"How 'bout 18 bits?"
"20"
"18"
"TWENTY BITS!!!!!!...... sir.."
We left the store and I kicked over a bin. Lylic was trying to clam me down.
"It's OK, we'll get it tomorrow."
"It's not that! I NEVER buy you ANYTHING!! I never give you gifts!"
"Hey! That's not true!"
"YES IT IS!! IM TERRIBLE TO YOU!"
"No! You are the best pony I have ever met!"
Leo took a few steps back.
Nopony spoke the whole way back.
Chaper Six
I waited untill Liylic was fast asleep until I snuck out. I purchased a vase of roses and some chocolates. I bought the Daring Doo book plus a couple of other books.
I set roses going in a trail down to the living room. I set the chocolates facing the door. The Daring Doo books were behind the chocolates, so she didn't see.
I grabbed a staw and some tissues. I started firing spitballs at her until she woke. I bolted downstairs and hid behind the counter.
She walked in holding the roses in her mouth and dropped them as she gasped.
"SURPRISE!!" I yelled.
She started to cry. I put my roght arm around her and stood on two hooves. We sat down on the couch and I asked her if she liked it.
She cried even more and hugged me again. I took that as a yes. She let go and opened her new book. I walked outside and picked up the mail from the mailbox. I came inside and opened the letter. I stared reading. Reading. Reading. Then I blacked out.
I woke in a pure white room. surrounding me where curtains and my girlfriend.
Liylic was clasping my hoof. I lay back. She let go of my hoof. I didn't like that.
"Whu- Where's Leonty?" I murmured.
"That's what the letter was about. He's left Ponyvile."
