Ch. 1 Welcome Back to Life! (Greatly Revised)

"Hey man, when are we gonna land? It feels like we've been stuck in this thing for days." A person, with average height, and a slightly British accent who was wearing a simple suit, a black jacket, and a fedora, who was also sitting next to me, who goes by the name of Seth, who is also a childhood friend of mine, inquired.

Me and Seth are taking a flight currently going to the hometown of a friend of ours to congratulate him for getting married. Who am I exactly?

Well, I'm a rather calm, well, most of the time, enigmatic programmer whose name is Wilson. I wasn't really wearing anything awe inspiring during this flight, all I have on is currently a simple black shirt, a grey jacket, and a grey scarf that a dear old friend gave me.

"How am I supposed to know? Go ask somebody else who probably knows." I replied half-asleep in annoyance as I was rudely awakened from my nap.

"Ask who? A flight attendant? Not a single one of them is nearby right now." Seth stated.

"Well, that's very unfortunate for you, perhaps you could simply wait?" I hissed with annoyance due to still being a bit drowsy and cranky from being rudely awoken, to which Seth responded by rolling his eyes in mild irritation and went back to waiting.

"Wilson, come on, man. Do something, I'm bored." Seth pleaded desperately after not a lot of time later. That's Seth for you, never the one to just sit still and wait, he's always the adventurous type. He even placed several road blocks on the road to his house to delay an unfortunate pizza guy's arrival,

Now. you'd think he'd do that solely for the free pizza, you thought wrong, he did it because he found it fun.

"What do you suppose I do? We're in the middle of a god damn flight."

"I don't actually know. But, knowing you, you could probably do something entertaining until we've arrived at our destination."

"Ugh, could you just please let me sleep? Just for a couple of minutes, and I'll probably do something."

"Fine, I can wait. But I'll wake you up if you take too long." Seth warned me before ceasing his maddening pestering, allowing me to, once again, relax.

A few moments after our short conversation, I returned to the blissful grasp of slumber. But shortly after I did just that, a loud blast suddenly shook the plane violently, causing a scarring panic within the passengers.

"What in the blazes? What the hell was that!" I asked frantically as I hastily opened my eyes and looked for anything seeming off, or the cause to the sudden blast for that matter. I did not like what I looked, people were panicking, some of them were even unconscious. And are we loosing altitude? Oh hell, the left wing of the bloody plane is missing!

"It was an explosive, someone set a damned bomb! The whole left-wing of the plane is almost completely blown off!" Seth replied while being very panicky. I could barely decipher his words as the majority of crowd of people within the plane was screaming in total fear.

Oh bloody hell, as if my day wasn't bad enough, "I can see that genius! But what do we do now? We're crashing anytime soon!" I inquired, once again, the crowd making my words barely audible.

However, he had no answer, all he did was frantically look around for a moment and then place both of his hands on his temples and looked down, trying his utmost best to discover a possible answer to make the outcome of this event somewhat more favorable.

Also a bomb? How did it not get detected by the security? And why is it armed in this plane in particular? Ugh, luck, the commodity which is very evasive to me.

"Seth what do we do? Come on man, we're gonna crash any minute now!" I repeated, and as expected, he had no answer once again.

I couldn't think of anything as well, not in this state, my heart rate was going insane, my mind, fogged in fear. I could only do what my fear-induced brain told me, close my eyes and hoped that it all ends quickly, and for moment, I saw green flames envelope me.

                                                     Meanwhile in the Changeling Hideout...

"I don't understand, the summoning process was done correctly, yet, where is this so called 'human' I've summoned?" A fairly annoyed Chrysalis inquired.

"Perhaps, the ritual failed? My queen."  A male changeling, whose mane was a deep purple, and whose eyes were of a green hue, said.

"No, it couldn't have, Andrei. The promised human was placed somewhere else, possibly." A hooded female changeling, who had a crimson mane, and teal eyes suggested.

"Marisa, are you certain? The summoning spell was supposed to summon a human, with a few tools that the summoned human is familiar with, a few feet from the summoner." Andrei replied.

"Still, there's a possibility that it was summoned someplace else, magic spells like this one tend to be random and sometimes do not go as planned." Marisa stated.

"If the human we speak of was summoned somewhere else, I want it to be brought here. Andrei! Rally a group of changelings and find him." Chrysalis commanded the two changelings.

"My queen, what if the human won't accept our request of assistance, surely it would hesitate assisting an entire new race that he is not familiar with?" Andrei inquired with concern clearly apparent in his tone.

"If the aforementioned human doesn't come to our aid, we must simply bribe him, everything has a price, we've managed to snag quite the amount of interesting loot from our previous caravan we managed to bring down and pilfer." The changeling queen simply replied, prompting her two subjects to nod in understanding.

And with that said, the two changelings departed, shortly mobilizing a small team of changelings to initiate the start of the search of the human after their departure.

                                           Back to our protagonists...

I opened my eyes, expecting my life to have ended, however, instead of whatever the afterlife looks like, I seem to be lying down on the ground of what appears to be a clearing of a dense forest.

As I inspected my surroundings, I came to a conclusion, it seems so familiar to me, but I'm not exactly why? Examining my surroundings further, I spotted an unconscious Seth laying on the dirt not a few feet away from where I was.

With worry wrenching my mind, I rushed towards him, almost tripping over a very inconveniently placed rock.

"Seth! Man! Can you hear me?" I shouted at his body, fearing for the worst. No response, I have to check his pulse, "Come on you imbecile, don't die on me, not in a forest, it'll be a hassle for me to bury your body in unfamiliar territory." I said to his unconscious, or possibly dead body.

Huh, he still has a pulse, well that's good, no need for a burial then, that means more time to identify the current region me and my previously thought dead entourage. But now, I have to wake up my friend, but how? Perhaps I should douse him with water, but I have don't have even a drop of water on me right now, perhaps I should just slap him in the face, yes, that will work.

"Ugh, what the hell? What was that for, you mongrel!" He loudly asked in panic after being slapped in the face, suddenly, he had a concerned look apparent on his face,"Wait, how are we still alive? Did we... survive the plane crash?" Seth added in bewilderment, while getting up from the cold ground.

"Apparently so." Bloody hell, this reminds me all to well of Dead Space 3, well, the DLC at least. Perhaps we've been saved by aliens? Heh, I chuckle at the thought.

"So, what are we supposed to do now? We're stuck in god knows where, and we don't even know how we got here, and more importantly, we've got nothing!" Seth said while removing the grime and dirt off his clothing.

I literally have no idea, first, I have no clue where we currently are, and second, I have no knowledge of surviving, save for some methods that I acquired thanks to the "Man vs. Wild" show.

"Actually, where did you get that bag? I don't even remember you wearing that bag at all at any point." Seth inquired with curiosity. A bag? What bag? Oh this? Wait, I don't recognize this bag at all, nor remembering actually strapping this bag on me. The bag itself weighed a little, as if there were some objects inside.

"That's actually odd, I don't remember seeing this bag at all, much less buying it, I suppose we should probably check what's inside." I suggested before placing the bag in front of me and opening said bag and started inspecting the items within it.

First of all, the contents stored within the bag is going to be significantly useful to our endeavors, first, I managed to find a flashlight accompanied by several spare batteries, a med-kit, and three bottles of water.

"Well, mind retracting your previous sentence now? I bet we could survive for a few days with these." I said snidely as I held the objects in front of him for him to view them.

"I suppose I should now, thank god for your mysterious bag." Seth replied with a somewhat more relieved tone.

After even more rummaging, I managed to find something that made my jaw drop and made my heart explode, a bloody Colt python revolver, It had a very sleek look as well, it had a lavish black paint job, and its luster could drive a gun enthusiast murder for the possession gun, and it's condition, it's beyond pristine, not a single speck of dirt tarnished this gun, nor does it looks like it's been used before.

And it even had several boxes of spare ammunition to go with it.

Did I have experience with guns? Eh, I do, well, at least some, I go to firing ranges somewhat frequently, normally to settle a couple of bets me and some of my colleagues conjured, and sometimes I go hunting. Was I a good shot? I guess I can say I am,

I'm no legend, mind you, but I wasn't a mad gunman that would blindly fire two automatic sub-machine guns at a deer in hopes that a bullet would strike its intended target.

"Holy hell, look at this beauty I  just found." I said as I carefully gripped the masterfully crafted revolver from the bag while appreciating the beauty of the masterfully forged revolver.

"Look at what?" Seth inquired before he caught sight of what I was referring to, "Holy crap! Man, that is one hell of a revolver!" He exclaimed while being awestruck just by looking at it.

"You're damn straight it is, I wonder how well this shoot?" I asked, looking for something to aim with it. And lo and behold, I managed to spot a curious looking squirrel.

"Hey man, mind if I test this thing out on that thing right there?" I said with a smirk as I pointed at it with malice.

"I don't know, what if it attracts unwanted attention? Then again, we're in the middle of a random forest. I doubt civilization is nearby." Seth reasoned, "Alright, do it, we don't have any food with us, and I'm curious what squirrel taste like.

I grinned, and I aimed at the soon to be deceased squirrel, I gripped the revolver firmly, controlled my breathing, and I lined my shot. And then I pulled the trigger.

And there goes the deafening blast from the revolver, and the squirrel's head is no more, no literally, its head was completely torn off.

"Holy hell! Nice shot man!" Seth exclaimed, I guess he was impressed.

"Hell, I feel bad, I don't think I deserve that kill, this revolver is way to good to possibly exist. Oh well, who cares?" I replied, still awestruck at how well this gun operates.

"Perhaps we should out now?" I suggested.

"Yeah, give me a second to grab the meat and let's go."

"By the way man, I get to be the one with the revolver." I exclaimed with a smug grin.

                                                                 Somewhere in the Everfree...

A sizable amount of time has passed prior to the changeling search party has been dispatched, so far, they managed to find nothing. But suddenly, a loud blast was heard just ahead of the group of changelings

"Sir! Did you hear that? It sounded like it came just ahead of us." A changeling scout said.

"Indeed, I did. That must've been the human, no doubt. Marisa! I think we just located our human." Andrei stated.

"Apparently so, onwards! The faster we get this done, the better." Marisa stated.

Back to our so called "heroes".

"I feel as if we've been walking for hours, where are we?" Seth inquired feeling very tired. It's only been a few minutes since we started walking, and this idiot is already complaining.

So far we've found nothing of use. We've managed to cook the squirrel a while back, it tasted peculiar, to say the least.

I was about to respond in aggravation, but then I heard something that made my ears perk up, footsteps? It didn't sound like footsteps, but it did, it sounded more like... I really can't identify it really, "Shh! I think I heard something! Get down." I commanded as silently as I could.

We quickly dove into the foliage, hoping to evade a possible dangerous encounter with the local wild life, "Wilson, what did you hear exactly? Wait, I hear it too, I think it's coming this way!" Seth whispered.

And so we anticipated what could be our first survival situation, and then, it emerged, a chicken? No, wait, it has a serpent's tail! That's so oddly familiar and mentally disturbing. Wait, I think I recognize it from somewhere, ah! Of course, that show! That show about those miniature equines!

That's a cockatrice! The chicken-snake like being that is capable of petrifying those that are unfortunate enough to be caught by its gaze.

But that's impossible, how could that creature from the show exist here? Unless, we're in Equestria, which is very unlikely. Alas, what could possibly be the explanation for this cockatrice's existence?

"Um, Wilson? What the bloody hell is that thing? It looks as if you just saw a ghost immediately after you directly laid your eyes upon it," Seth inquired, "That, my friend, is a cockatrice, the one from the show 'My little Pony', to be exact." I casually replied.

No way, are we actually in the land of miniature horses? And if so, dammit! We're gonna be so late for our friend's wedding.

"What? You mean that incredibly idiotic show you watch? Man, what are you on?" Seth responded.

"Well, that thing right there looks exactly like the one from the show, and now that I think about it, this place looks a lot like the Everfree forest from the show as well."

"For god's sake, is this what being in hell is? Being stuck in the middle of nowhere with a lunatic?"

"Ugh, look man, I know that what I just said felt like it came from a psychopath, but I'm serious, this place looks a lot like the Everfree forest from the show, and that thing looks a lot like the cockatrice from the actual show too."

"Okay, fine, fine. So we're stuck in the dimension of happiness and rainbows, now what?"

"I suppose we should go find those ponies, I bet they're more than willing to help." I suggested.

No response? Was my suggestion that idiotic? Eh, possibly.

"Um, Wilson," He said, his voice faltering which made me slightly concerned, "I think it noticed us." Seth stated with a somewhat concern-filled voice.

I turned around to face where the cockatrice was previously standing, and as expected, it had a glare directly pointed to our general direction.

"Don't look at it directly!" I exclaimed as fast as I could while covering my friend's eyes with my hand.

"Huh? Why not? It's just some angry looking, enlarged, chicken-snake hybrid, I'm sure you can take it on with your revolver." Seth stated as he removed my hand from his eyes.

"That's not what I meant! If you stare at it directly, you'll be morphed into a stone statue!"

"The hell? Well, things in rainbow-land are surprisingly grim-dark, the chances of your stroll being ruined by the local wildlife petrifying you is quite probable."

"What's the plan? I think it's still there, gazing at us," Seth said before turning his head around and attempting to confirm his assumption then quickly spinning his head back to facing me.

"Indeed! It is definitely still there, attempting to petrify us. You know, this is a very poor self-defense mechanism. Well, I say that it's a form of defense is because I think it would be pretty impossible to eat petrified prey."

Well, cockatrices can cancel the petrification if it wishes to, perhaps they drag them to somewhere pitch black and devour them there while they are in a state confusion?

Eh, I don't know. Are cockatrices even carnivores? Or do they posses the same diet that of a regular chicken? Well, snakes are carnivorous. Ugh, enough of this particular topic, I have no intent to learn what this thing consumes.

Alright, time to get out of this mess, think, think. Eh, I got nothing, time to shoot at it blindly with my revolver, I suppose. Yes, I know what I just said about me not shooting at living targets mindlessly, but hey, this time, the target has petrification powers.

"I'll just shoot at it blindly!" I exclaimed as I drew my already-favorite revolver.

"What? Are you insane? That's a completely idiotic idea!" Seth responded via shouting, "But then again, what other choice do we have?" Seth deadpanned.

Well, time to execute this pathetic excuse of a plan. I aimed at the general direction of the chicken-lizard hybrid thing and fired in quick succession.

Bang, all six rounds within the cylinder were unloaded at the cockatrice, well, its general direction, at least. After a few seconds, I turned around to face the thing to see if I manage to land at least a single bullet on it, however, I just faced nothing. Must've ran away.

"Hey! The plan worked-ish!" I exclaimed in victory.

"Wait, couldn't we have just taken another route?"  Seth stated as we both emerged from the bushes we were currently concealed in.

   "Oops."

Somewhere within the Everfree, not too far away from our protagonists...

"There's the sound again! But somethings off, it was repeating for a few seconds." A changeling hunter stated.

"We're definitely close now, just a few more minutes of searching and we'll be able to locate the human soon enough," Andrei, responded. "Marisa! How are you holding up?" Andrei inquired his already weary-looking companion.

"Can we- Can we please take a break?" Marisa desperately pleaded, appearing as if she was mere seconds away from fainting due to exhaustion.

"No, not now, we're too close, we're about to find this human and recruit him soon, I can feel it."

"Eh, whatever you say, but if I were to die from  exhaustion, it'll be on your hooves!"

     Andrei merely rolled his eyes.

                                                            Back to our protagonists...

"There! There's Ponyville! Wait, there's gigantic wall, I don't recognize it, nor do I remember it." I stated while perching from a random tree in the forest's clearing.

"Ponyville? Alright, I never watched the damn show, but, I can tell why there's a handful of haters of it already. And, a wall? I'm not even gonna question how they built it. But, how big is it?" Seth inquired curiously.

"Don't judge the show until you watched it, you doughnut. And as for the wall, well, it's hard to tell from here. But judging by the fact that we're not that far from here, Titan Eren could possibly jump over it with ease." I snidely answered, actually managing to make myself chuckle.

"Eh, wait, huh? Titan Eren? What the hell do you mean?" Seth asked in confusion. Oh, well isn't this a nice surprise? He didn't watched the entire anime yet. Should I spoil it for him? Well, it is his fault, he should've finished that anime months ago. Then again, only the most vile of people would spoil an anime.

"Screw it, forget what I just said. What I mean is that the wall is not that big." I deadpanned. Yeah, that was probably the right decision. I'm notorious, but I'm not downright an evil being that would slaughter the lives of several innocent beings, without good reason, of course.

"Huh, do you see something else? Perhaps, these so called 'ponies' that you claim to inhabit these forsaken lands." Seth asked with either pure, or sarcastic disgust in his voice.

Rolling my eyes, I went back to scouting the wall, then I managed to perceive something familiar, a pony, most likely a sentry, most likely because he, or she, it's hard to discern its gender from here, is clad in Royal guard armor and was stationed on top of the wall. Why do they need gigantic wall?

"Well, bloody hell. There's a sentry on top of that wall, a pony sentry, to be exact." I stated.

"A sentry? How can a small sized horse defend itself exactly?"

"Never underestimate those bastards, or you're in for a surprise." I responded.

"Screw it, forget what I just asked. These ponies, I assume they're friendly?"

"Indeed, but they're extremely xenophobic. It is essential that we state that we are of no trouble, and we might receive their help."

"Help? Help with what? Getting out of here? How could they possibly help us? They're just horses!"

"Sapient horses, to be exact. And there's more to them than just that. Just trust me."

"Ugh, you know what? To hell with it, lead the way." Seth grumbled before he proceeded to travel to the pony settlement, prompting me to jump down from my perch and resume traveling once more.

It only took the both of us a few minutes of walking towards the wall. The sentries currently guarding the wall immediately took notice of us and aimed an assortment of weapons at us, "Monsters! Lay waste to them, men!" A guard, most likely that of a higher rank considering that his armor was much more distinct than the rest of the guards, commanded.

We didn't even have time to react, I basically just shouted "What!" in disbelief before drawing my revolver. A shower of arrows and beams of light that detonates upon impact on anything solid was rained down upon us.

We basically retreated back to the Everfree as fast we could, but their constant barrage made a normally easy task much more difficult.

"Wil! I thought you said they were goddamn friendly!"  Seth exclaimed. "It seems that I underestimated their hostility!" I responded.

"Yeah, it appears s-" Seth's sentence was cut off by an arrow that somehow managed to land right behind his leg, where the arteries were at, causing him to stumble down, immobile, making him curse in agony as well.

Even more horrifying, three arrows followed the first one that struck him, all three, despite the odds, managed to strike him at various parts of his body, two in the chest, and one in the head.

Huh, I can't exactly define this feeling I'm currently experiencing. But it's commanding me to slaughter the entire army of guards. Seth, a dear-old friend that I had since I could remember, taken from me by a group of armed horses. Then I felt it, a surge of anger, pure anger coursed right inside me.

"Seth!" I exclaimed in horror and disbelief, "You bastards think you can get away with this alive?" I bellowed at the ponies with primal rage, actually causing some of them to look at themselves with a worried face, and some even accidentally dropped their spears or swords, or whatever weapon they had on them.

Alas, it was inevitable, they had slaughtered my friend, my mind was plagued by the need to avenge my friend, so, I took cover from a nearby tree and I took aim at a random pony.

I ended the life of one of them with a loud roar from my revolver with precision that would be thought to be impossible. Their reactions were priceless, looks of horror were plastered on their faces, however, I gave them no quarter, they had barely no time to react to my second shot.

A second guard has been slain due to my marksmanship, his corpse actually fell off the wall, thanks to the power and velocity of the bullet.

One by one, I thinned their ranks, however, to my astonishment, they managed to rally reinforcements consisting mostly of pegasi wielding spears. I'd estimate that there was at least twenty to thirty pegasi in that squad.

Oh, and look, they're charging straight at me. I managed to shoot some of them down, but now, they're too close for comfort. And close quarters combat is something I'm not experienced in.

Too my luck however, a green beam, much similar to the ones that barraged me, struck a pegasus that was literally seconds away from impaling me, combusting the pegasus in green flame.

More and more of the green beams incinerated the pegasi, causing them to retreat. However, just as they finished falling back, the rain of beams and arrows resumed.

I looked towards the source of the beam, to my surprise however, I saw several changelings either shooting bolts of green light at the ponies, or firing crossbows via telekinesis.

"I see you've encountered the ponies, human," A changeling with a distinct appearance stated, "There's not much time left, they'll call for additional forces to kill us. I suggest you follow us."

"Changelings? Why would I go with you guys? I don't even know your name!" I responded as I took potshots at the opposing ponies.

"Because, I can assure you, unlike those ponies, we're not attempting to kill you. And the name is Andrei."

I hesitated to answer him. I simply stared at him in silence.

"Make your choice with haste human! The ponies are probably rallying reinforcements right now!"

"Fine, fine! I'll go." I stated.

"Good, good. You've made the right decision. Marisa," This changeling who claimed to be Andrei called out to a female changeling attempting to snipe ponies with a crossbow, "Let's go! Order our troops to retreat back to the Hive! The human agreed to come with us!"

Shortly after that, me and the squad of changelings departed from the field of battle.

Ch. 2 The Hive (Revised)

Alright, let's do a small recap, first, me and my now dead friend, Seth, were taking a flight to attend a friend's wedding, an explosive goes off during the flight; the entire left wing of the plane was blown off. Then, we somehow managed to end up in a forest which is in another dimension.

At that point, me and Seth ventured around the Everfree, and then we somehow stumbled upon a cockatrice that attempted to turn us into stone.

Moments after that, we spotted the pony establishment that is known as "Ponyville", it actually didn't take that long for us to decide to approach the settlement.

However, unexpectedly, the ponies just bombarded us with an array of weapons. And Seth... he was a goner in that onslaught, I managed to take down as many as I could.

However, they rallied a sizable force of spear wielding pegasi to charge at me. Things were looking grim for me, however, the changelings intervened, they rescued me from a rather morbid death, but for what reason?

Me and the group of changelings are currently evading the pursuing pony forces. I assume we've managed to elude them, considering the amount of distance we've already traversed, and that we're no longer running, but simply walking.

"I take it you're going to take me to your queen, Andrei? That is your name, correct?" I inquired to the changeling that persuaded me to follow them. A purple mane and green eyes was featured in this particular changeling, and it appears that there are other distinct features in the other changelings.

How intriguing, these changelings are more similar to that of a pony's appearance, however, they still retain their fangs, unsettling cheese-like legs, and their insectoid wings.

"Yeah, that is my name, and yeah, we are taking you to the Hive. Strange, how do you know about changelings? I assumed they didn't exist in your world"

  "They don't." I replied.

"Uh, well, so how do you know about us?" Andrei asked in confusion.

"It's way too complicated for me to actually explain."

"Hm, I see, I guess I shouldn't question it further then. But tell me human, what was that weapon you were wielding back there?" Andrei inquired while using his holed hooves to point at the holstered revolver.

"Oh this? It came with this bag that mysteriously appeared out of nowhere, my name is Wilson, by the way, so you could stop calling me "human" now."

"Ah, that bag and its contents must've been the result of our summoning spell." A voice, most likely female, stated from behind me.

I turned around to face the source of the voice, and it turns out to be a changeling, a female one to be exact. She had a ragged hood on, a crimson mane and teal eyes.

"Summoning spell? You mean, you've summoned me and my friend here?" I questioned.

"Your friend? The spell was only to summon you, well any random human in particular. Your friend must've been too close to you, and was therefore summoned as well." The changeling answered.

    "Ah, I see, miss...?"

"Marisa, I'm the head mage of the Hive, and one of the most legendary, if I do say so myself," The changeling mage boasted, "Say, where is your friend? We only found you back there." Marisa inquired.

And here comes the traumatizing memory of my friend being turned into a lifeless corpse right before my eyes, "He died during that skirmish." I sighed, attempting my best to seem stoic, I must not show a hint of weakness to my new found allies.

There was a tense silence for a brief moment. Their faces portraying curiosity shifted to that of a grimace upon realization.

"Oh, um, my apologies, the spell was supposed to summon one human instead of two, it seems that your friend was in close proximity to you when the spell was done." Andrei stated, his tone of voice felt sympathetic.

"It is our fault that your friend was killed, forgive us." Marisa added.

"Regardless of whether you summoned me and my friend, Seth would've most likely die anyways, due to some tragic accident that was about to occur. " I stated, still retaining my stoic tone, "Hell, you actually saved me from dying." I stated with a weak smirk.

"Accident? What type of accident?" Marisa queried.

"Perhaps we should save the questions after we arrive to wherever you guys hideout. I feel like I'd be more inclined to answer whatever inquiries you have for me there."

They simply nodded in response to suggestion.

The route we took to the Changeling HQ was a long and boring, there was the occasional manticore or timber wolf pack that would attempt to maul us, but, they were swiftly taken care off by my revolver.

Needless to say, they're quite amazed by my revolver, I don't blame them, this thing is basically alien technology to them.

And we finally arrived to the changeling base, or so I thought, the abandoned castle in the middle of the Everfree Andrei and Marisa ordered me to follow them, so I did. The actual changeling base was actually underneath the ancient castle.

They appear to be utilizing some sort of cave network, or so my changeling companions claim. And as one would assume, yes, it's quite dark in there. Fortunately, they have torches to light up most of the interior of the cave network, albeit, one would still have difficulty seeing due to the darkness.

And of course, every changeling that encountered me shot looks of either disgust, or curiosity, or occasionally a combination of both.

Traversing the eerie tunnels further, me and my two changeling companions finally ended up in front of a large, intimidating door guarded by two armored changelings.

Andrei turned and looked at me, "Here we are, behind this door lies the throne room of our Queen-"

"Chrysalis, yeah, I know about her. She was repelled by the ponies after her scheme to capture Canterlot was ousted by a lavender pony, correct?" I interrupted.

Both of them appeared startled by my question, but they eventually just shrugged it off and glared faces of annoyance at me,"I'll take that as a 'yes.' Well, I have to do is act nice and all will be good, right."

"I suppose so, well then, shall we proceed?" Marisa suggested.

I nodded and we approached the guards, "About time you finally captured that... thing, Andrei." One of the guards mocked with a sly smirk. As a human being, I take offense to being referred to as a "creature."

Andrei sighed, "Yeah, yeah. Whatever, can you just let us in?"

The guard chuckled, "Eh, sure, wouldn't want the Queen to wait to meet her 'tactician' any longer, heh, looks more like a mutant ape rather than a tactician, if you ask me." That makes my ire boil even more, I was visually frowning by now.

The guard began the process of opening the metallic door via magic, seeing that he was occupied in opening the door, I slowly made my hand progress to my revolver.

"Easy now, Wilson, I know he's annoying, but killing him won't really let you gain anything." Andrei whispered.

I sighed, the changeling holds a valid point. I relinquished my desire to murder him, my hand retreated from the revolver's holster.

Soon after the door was opened, we entered the throne room, and not really a big surprise, I was greeted by a grinning Chrysalis sitting upon her throne.

Hm, the throne room possessed a certain allure about it, I can't really describe it, but it's really ambient. It was poorly lit, only a chandelier on the ceiling was providing light to this room, and some torches, more strangely, the chandelier and torches were emitting a green flame.

We approached the changeling queen, "Andrei, so all I have to do is act nice, correct?" I asked, "I suppose." Andrei simply replied. Well that's problematic, considering I'm not a friendly person and all, oh, and don't forget that my friend was just murdered a few hours ago.

"Andrei, Marisa, excellent work finding the human, I so believe you have duties elsewhere, go on. I have to discuss some things with the human." Chrysalis said. My two changeling friends complied and left the room.

"Ah, finally. Human, I am-" Before she could do her introductions I interrupted her, "Queen Chrysalis, yes, I know some things about you."

"Hm, my fame exceeds me, so I do believe you are aware why you are here?" Chrysalis inquired.

"Let me conjure a quick theory, is it because you are in need of assistance in enslaving the entire pony race?" I replied, which caused a surprised reaction from the changeling queen.

"Hm, you humans scare me, but, yes. I do require help against my adversaries," The queen admitted, "But, I take it you're not going to aid us now. However, we have things that might interest you." Chrysalis claimed.

Well, that actually caught my interest, what type of thing? Or as Rick pronounces it, thangs.

"Things? Mind being more specific?" I responded, it seems that I made her smirk.

"Well, human, does this amulet appears familiar to you?" She asked while levitating the infamous Alicorn amulet. Huh, the amulet, eh? My help in exchange for that magical relic?

Well, my original scheme of vengeance was to do a direct assault on those four-legged bastards, huh, that actually sounds much more stupid now, it will sound less stupid when I have the ability to cast magic.

"Hm, now you caught my interest, but the side-effects of the amulet is somewhat making me reluctant on accepting the deal." I stated. She appeared slightly frustrated now.

"Hm, so you're aware of the effects of this amulet? Well, we're actually researching on it, in hopes to either neutralize, or deter the unfavorable side-effects of the amulet. And only prolonged usage of the amulet will cause the effects to occur." Queen cheese-legs replied.

I slowly nodded my head in consideration, "Well, normally, I would decline your offer," I said, causing the queen to look in a combination of disappointment and sadness, "But, the ponies managed to piss me off, so, I'll aid you in your battles." I added, causing the Queen to smirk once more.

"Good choice, human, but before we I start showing you around, why don't you tell me about yourself and your kind?"

However, before I could reply, a very frantic changeling teleported into the room, "My queen! A squad of Royal guards is nearing towards the base! It won't be long until we're discovered!"

Chrysalis looked genuinely concerned, "It appears that we have to postpone our little conversation for another time, perhaps you could assist our troops, quickly, head to the surface and let one of my changelings brief you in this upcoming skirmish, normally, we usually repel them, but always with casualties, perhaps you can change that? The Royal guard has been hounding us for quite some time already, I fear they will discover us soon."

"Hm, I have to fight some ponies with changelings by my side already? Hmph, I didn't even get a welcoming party, oh well, as long as I get to see those bastards die, I'm happy." I said before dashing off.

This is the part where things get interesting.

Ch. 3 Second Encounter

Just before I left the throne room, I heard Chrysalis shout at me, "Hey! The amulet! You'll get slaughtered without this, you imbecile!"

Oh yeah, the amulet, right. I turned around just in the nick of time to catch the amulet as it was thrown at me. I staggered a bit, but I regained my composure shortly, and resumed my dash to the exit.

"Sir!" A changeling stammered as I bolted out from the throne room, startling him in the process. Fortunately, I managed to avoid bumping into him, albeit barely.

"I, uh, was ordered to find you and bring you to the battlefield. Uh, sir, if you may please come with me?" The changeling stuttered.

I smirked coldly, "I know the way to the exit," I stated, "Although, where is the battle gonna occur?" I inquired.

"Um, just go directly left after you exit the castle, you should be able to meet up with a changeling squad, sir." The changeling responded, "This place has a very elaborate structure, are you certain you don't need me to guide you?" The changeling added, to which I replied with a simple "Nah."

"You've helped me more than enough, mate. Thanks!" I exclaimed as I ran through the dark rooms of the cave network.

I made my way around the tunnel network with slight difficulty, I managed to remember where the entrance is at, so I really didn't require a guide to point out which direction I was suppose to go.

As I ran, I began to think, why am I assisting the changelings? Well, most likely because of the Alicorn amulet, who knows what a human with magic could wreak. Perhaps, I simply want revenge, and with the aid of the changelings, revenge will be even more easy to obtain.

Speaking of which, I still have the amulet grasped in my hand, hm, I'm getting curious. Well, it is mine now. I halted my running and proceeded to wear it.

Power, immense power. I could feel it, I don't know how, but I could just sense its presence within me.

"Holy hell, that felt great!" I shouted at nothing in particular.

I shook my head. Oh, right, right. I gotta make haste to the battlefield.

But before I began to even take a step, I stopped, "Hm, why walk, when you can teleport?" I said to myself with a malicious grin. But that thought was short-lived, I am not familiar with magic, considering I'm from a race that's not suppose to even wield it in the first place.

"Hm, come on, think. How does one teleport?" I asked myself.

"Hm, perhaps you just need to visualize the location in your mind?"

So I closed my eyes and pictured just outside the abandoned castle and then, I concentrated. And lo and behold, I disappeared in a flash of light from my original location to my intended destination, however, I now feel very nauseous.

After regaining my composure from my staggered state, I quickly ran towards the Everfree forest, only to run to the opposite direction after realizing that the direction I was going to was the right, not the left.

Making my way around the murky forest, I heard a faint whisper, "Wilson! Over here!" I turned around to pinpoint the source of the voice, it was Andrei perching on top of a tree.

"Andrei!-" I couldn't finish my sentence as he cut me off, "Sh! The Royal guards are heading this way, scouts might hear you." Andrei whispered just loud enough to be barely audible.

"Right, so, what's the plan?" I whispered back.

"Well, we're planning on ambushing them. But you're the one in charge, right?" He replied.

Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be their tactician and all that. Welp, this is where all of my experience in strategy games payoff, "I suppose that's correct. So, how much time is left until they get here, and how large is their squad exactly?"

"They'll most likely arrive in about five minutes," Andrei replied, "As for the amount of opposition, I'd say somewhere from thirty to forty, we're outnumbered by ten or possibly more."

Dammit, that doesn't exactly reassure me, and only an estimated five minutes until they get here? Also, we're outnumbered? Ugh, screw it.

"Alright, I'll distract them for a while, and when I give the signal, I'll need you guys to overpower them." I said, yeah, what bloody brilliant plan, what could possibly go worse?

"I suppose we could do that, but, one question, what exactly is the 'signal?'" Andrei inquired.

Then I paused, I didn't even think of a good way to signal them, "Er, just- when I fire my weapon, yeah. That's the signal." I replied.

"Well, okay." Andrei replied as he concealed himself in the tree.

And now, we play the waiting game I suppose.

Time passed agonizingly slow, however, that did not persuade me to lower my guard. Then there it was, the squad of Royal guards, damn, that was a lot of them. Pegasi hovering just above them, earth ponies armed with swords marching with them, and unicorns preparing their magic as they saw me.

Then I saw that one particular bastard of a pony, the captain from the wall. The one that gave the order to exterminate me and my friend.

Luckily, he only succeeded in killing one of us off.

They closed in even nearer to me, soon, they were only mere a few steps away from me. The captain approached me with a smug smirk.

"It appears we've finally manage to find you, beast." He finally spoke.

"Yes, it appears so, mongrel." I spat.

"You've slaughtered several my soldiers, monster. What do you say about that?"

"I say that you attacked me and my friend, whom you killed, for no reason!" I countered.

"We were given orders to keep monsters away from Ponyville, and to the rest of us, you look exactly like one." He spoke, "If you didn't murder my troops, I would've let you escape." He coldly added.

"Now, I found you. I will avenge my comrades and I will have your head." He claimed before lunging at me with a blade. I managed to dodge him by quickly strafing to the left, giving me an opportunity to do a counter-attack.

I focused, and I released a large shock wave from the palm of my hand, sending the captain flying straight to a tree, I heard a large cracking noise as he collided with said tree. Hmph, he's going to hold a grudge.

"That thing killed the captain!" One of the ponies shouted in fear, well that's an exaggeration, I'm quite certain that's he's unconscious, but not dead, riddled with injuries, but alive, nonetheless.

"That thing can use magic! Get him before he slaughters us all!" One of the unicorns added in horror.

And incomes the familiar volley of arrows and rays of light. I quickly teleported behind a tree for cover, to avoid being murdered, to which gave me an opportunity to shoot them down my revolver as they were in a state of confusion prior to my teleportation.

But then I remembered, I can't use the revolver, no, now's not the time to give my changelings the signal. So I thought, what I could do at this point, then I remembered, I could use offensive magic, duh.

So I managed to conjure a form of magic attack, then I pointed my arm which was channeling magic to the sky. One by one, several pitch black swords materialized from the sky above my four-legged adversaries.

Only a small portion of the Royal guards noticed the blades hovering above them, not even the pegasi, it was hovering just above them, and those that did notice the blades were either too awestruck, or too horrified to move.

After seeing that the amount of swords blotting the sky was favorable, I lowered my hand; I sent the swords raining down on my foes. It was morbid, to say the least.

I could hear their screams of agony and terror, I could see the swords impaling them, I could see the looks of horrors on those that were lucky to survive. I could even see some of them struggling and flailing as a sword pinned them down to the dirt, but they suddenly stopped their thrashing and remained still, as their blood tainted the grounds that they were on.

Yet, I did not feel anything, instead, I felt like they got what they deserved. Why? I know I wanted vengeance, but this is way too grim dark. Maybe the amulet is influencing me already?

As the squall of swords ended, I commanded my magic to withdraw my magic from the arcane swords, causing the swords to disperse in the process, as expected. However, the screams did not cease, I could still hear screams of agony and what sounds like sobbing.

I emerged from my cover and saw something that would've most likely force me to vomit. I saw dead corpses, some had faces of horror and astonishment plastered on them. And some weren't even dead, they were barely alive, they were crawling towards their allies in desperation, they were slowly bleeding out.

I even witnessed a few of them sobbing and lying on the ground visibly shaking, they were probably traumatized for all of their lives.

Still, I didn't feel anything, instead, I walked towards them without remorse or a single feeling of guilt. Those that were lucky enough to not be maimed or traumatized drew their weapons on me, albeit, they were nervous and scared as all hell.

"So, are all of you prepared to give up? Or do I have to knock you all out? I want at least ten prisoners from this encounter." I claimed in a very icy tone.

Damn, that was awfully dark, was that actually me or the amulet?

Hm, no response, they still held their weapons at me shakily, and their legs were still shaking as well. Some were even failing to hold their tears back, for obvious reasons.

"What's wrong? You know, it's rude to stare." I slyly stated.

Still nothing, oh well. Focusing speed enhancing magic on myself, I grabbed one of the guards by the throat in the blink of an eye, causing some of the guards to close in on me, and some to gasp.

"Give up now, or I'll rip this one in two." I stated coldly. One by one, they reluctantly lowered their arms however, the pony that I had in my grasp spoke, "D-don't surrender to this thing. Kill him, you must usher retribution to our comrades." He coughed.

"Hm, you're a brave one, I'll give you that. But still, I highly doubt all of you could take me down." I said causing them to lower their arms once again.

"Good, now throw them away." I added, and they complied by discarding their weapons.

With them unarmed, I drew my revolver, aimed at the sky, and pulled the trigger. The crackling noise that the revolver created was enough to make them cringe.

Soon, changelings began to emerge from the trees, "Take them all to the hive!" I ordered them, and so they did, they began to escort the captured ponies.

"Wow, you didn't even need our help," I heard Andrei said as he trotted next to me, "How did you learn to use magic at a ridiculous rate?" Andrei questioned, his tone filled with a complex mixture of astonishment, horror, and curiosity.

   "I guess I'm just a natural." I simply replied.

"So, should we, leave now?" Andrei suggested.

I shook my head, there was one last thing I have to do. I looked around my surroundings and spotted what I was looking for; the unconscious captain, "I still have a little something I have to do before we leave." I said, my voice sounded neutral, but, one could tell that it contained hatred.

Andrei looked concerned for me as I approached the captain's unconscious body.

Ch 4. The Interrogation

I approached the unconscious captain's body with intent of malice. I poked him with my foot, he quickly attempts to stand up, but was quickly subdued by a jolt of pain.

He glared at me with eyes of pure, bitter resentment, "You monster," He coughs out a bit of blood, "How did you manage to best me? Your friend didn't appear to be powerful in contrast to you." He asks.

I place my foot on his muzzle, "Don't ever mention my friend ever again, the reason why I just slaughtered your men is because of what you did to him."

"You- you what?" He choked out in disbelief.

"See for yourself." I grimly said with a ghastly smile as I removed my foot from his muzzle, and made way so that he could see the carnage behind me.

His reaction was priceless. He had a face that described the epitome of disbelief, he looks at me once more, "You vile creature, they were merely young stallions, and you butchered them all." He spewed.

"Yeah? And what? Just give up? You left me no choice." I said in defense.

He glares at me with cold eyes.

"Now then, I have some questions for ya." I stated, "And why should I care, beast? Because you're going to torture me and kill me if I won't answer them? I won't give you any information, even if it kills me." He spewed.

"Kill you? Oh no, I'm gonna finish off your soldiers. My changelings! Forget about what I said about taking them to the Hive! Rally the prisoners here!" I commanded, and they obeyed. They flocked the prisoners right in front of me and the battered captain.

"What? No! Don't I'll tell you everything you wish to know!" The captain pleaded in desperation.

"Sir! It's fine! We'll be more than glad to die than to give him info!" The feisty one from before stated. However, his statement somewhat contradicts itself, I could clearly see some of the Royal guards staring at him in disbelief.

"Let's test that theory, shall we?" I said before grabbing a random Royal guard from the line of prisoners with telekinesis. Damn, magic is convenient.

He struggled and flailed defiantly while screaming "no" repeatedly, I found it amusing, actually. I placed him in front of me and bound him to the ground with, of course, magic. I materialized a blade, and upon seeing this, the bound pony began to frantically thrash in vain.

The other guards looked in horror as I readied my blade, "So, tell me, captain. What is your name?" I simply questioned. Everyone seemed to be dumbfounded by my question.

The captain paused for a moment but then answered, "It's Morning Raid." He simply replied.

"Good, good. See? That wasn't hard at all!" I commented.

"Now then, next question, why was a wall created around Ponyville." I questioned.

"Monster," He coughs once more, "Monsters have been frequently assaulting that settlement, we were stationed there to guard it." He finally answers.

"Now then, next, did you inform the princess of my existence?" I asked.

"I told a messenger to go to send a message to her. But, the messenger's train hasn't left yet, his train to Canterlot will depart in the morning." He stated.

"Good, what does the messenger look like, exactly?" I questioned further.

"Do you play me as a fool, beast? Do you really think I'll let you kill her?" He spat out.

"Kill? What do you take me for? A monster?" I stated in defense, "Oh wait, you actually do. But for your information, no, I won't murder your messenger." I added.

"Oh right, and we're supposed to believe you because why?" The brave one from before interrupted. Hm, I like this one, I think I'll kill him last.

"Hm, well, since you asked so nicely." I grin maliciously, "Because, if you don't, I'm going to make that train go boom in a fiery display of explosions." I stated in a disturbingly cheery tone. Some of the ponies' jaws dropped. Hell, even some of the jaws of the changelings dropped.

Sure, I don't have any bombs at the moment. But hey, with magic, anything's possible, right? Or you know, I could do it the traditional way, find a crap-ton of explosives and plant it in the train and look away as the explosion engulf the train, because, cool guys don't look at explosions!

"You bastard, you wouldn't dare!" The captain shouted, taken aback by my previous sentence. The heroic one seemed to shut up by now.

"And why not?" I retorted. At this point, most of the captured Royal guards have faces of either great fear, or anger. Even some of my own changeling troops appeared uncomfortable.

"Because, no one would be that much of a fool to provoke the entire Royal guards!" The captain answered in desperation.

"Then I will slay as much as I can until I fall, unless, you're willing to give me a description of your messenger." I exclaimed.

I stared at him intently, I watched him as he began to falter, his breathing became erratic, and he was quivering as well.

"Gah! Fine! Her name is Derpy Hooves!" He finally answered. Wait, wait. Derpy hooves? As in the wall-eyed mare?

No bloody way, I don't think I can do this. Kidnap Derpy?

"Wait, excuse me? Derpy? As in, the pegasus with the ditsy personality?" I asked, still confounded on why she was the messenger.

"Actually, yes. How did you know?" He asked, probably surprised due to the fact that I know about her.

"I... have sources." I simply responded.

    Silence fills the interrogation briefly.

"Well, alright! We're done here!" I exclaimed, satisfied by the outcome of the interrogation, "Let's pack up and-" I halted mid-sentence, "Wait, where did the brave one go?" I asked the changelings that were SUPPOSED to keep an eye on the captured ponies.

They looked around for him for a brief moment, and then, they simply shrugged. Even Andrei! He couldn't keep check on him?

Gah! How did he escape? He was basically surrounded by changelings? How? How! It's impossible, dammit! Intense infuriation accumulating within me, I'm going to murder every single living being within the vicinity.

I ignited my hands with magic and slowly raised it up, both ponies and changelings alike were startled by this. Fortunately, I managed to restrain myself and took the amulet off.

I felt the arcane powers leave me as I removed it, causing me to stagger back.

"Oh woah, probably not doing that anytime soon..." I muttered as I stumbled to the ground.

Andrei rushed to my side, "Wilson! Wilson, are you alright? Geez, it seems that the amulet effects you more rapidly." Andrei said

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine... just give me some space." I said as I slowly regained my footing.

"Well, take the prisoners back to the Hive." I ordered.

"What? What about the one that escaped?" Andrei said.

A cold smirk grew on my face.

"Oh, him? Leave him to me."

With that said, I wore the amulet once again, and shot through the air upwards with magic.

Chapter. 5 Pursuit

I've spent untold amount of time tracking this escapee, however, even with the Alicorn amulet, this task proves to be difficult.

And I also have to find this pony before morning comes, well, isn't that great?

"Come on, where is this bastard? Ugh, he couldn't have gone that far? Did he?" I sighed as I traversed the murky depths of the Everfree.

"I swear," I began to ramble, "when I find you, I'm going to..." I trailed off as a sudden thought struck me.

Is it possible to summon forth a clone of yourself with magic? Heh, if that IS possible, then I could be at two places at once! Hopefully, speeding up the process of this stupid pursuit.

A snide smile crept up to my face, "Alright, just... focus, right?" I muttered to myself.

I closed my eyes and focused my magic, "Come on, damned amulet-thing. Work!" I cursed while I continued to focus.

Then "it" happened, I felt like I was being... burned alive? No, it felt like tongues of flames were assailing my body, but I didn't feel any pain, it just felt as if I was enveloped by non-burning flames. Non-burning flames? That sounds really stupid, it sounds even more stupid because I'm the one that thought about it.

I staggered back in surprise, "Ugh, damn. What the hell?" I grumbled.

When I opened my eyes, I saw an exact imitation of me right in front of me.

"Oh my god," Me and my clone said almost exactly at the same time, "You're me, and I'm you!" I stated, my clone once again, said the exact same thing, at the exact same time.

"This is bloody amazing," I stated.

"Man, I know right?" My clone replied, "Dude, your an idiot for not doing this earlier!" My clone snidely added.

"Idiot? Me? You do know you're just calling yourself an idiot? Right?" I, the original Wilson, countered.

"Eh, fair point." The other Wilson replied.

Alright, enough arguing with myself, time to find him once and for all.

"So, shall we carry on with the chase? You know he'll get to Ponyville eventually," I said.

"Eh, sure. But let's make more of us before we get going." The clone responded.

I nod in agreement. Shortly, both me and my imitation began the process of the cloning-spell. Much to our inconvenience, however, it appears that only the original Wilson can cast the cloning spell.

"Well, this is rather problematic..." I said to the other me.

"Hm, it appears so..." He said, "Alright, have fun cloning yourself over and over again! I'm off to find the bastard! See ya!" He said as he vanished via teleportation.

Oh for god's sake, that was a dick move! Then again, that was my clone... ugh. Screw it, if you want something done, do it yourself, I suppose.

After an ungodly amount of tediously recasting the spell over and over, I seemed to managed to be more efficient in casting the spell, not even needing to concentrate anymore.

"Alright, you're the last one, I don't think I can cast that spell any longer without knocking myself out." I said to my most recent clone.

"Aw, suck it up, you sissy." My clone said to me.

Geez, every clone that I would create would always be a dick to me in some way.

"Yeah, yeah. Not the first time I've heard that," I barely managed to say, as I was exhausted from all that spell-casting, "Now shoo! Go find the one that escaped." I lay flat on the ground.

"Yeah, and shoot a flare-like fireball at the sky to signify that one of us found him?" He said as he prepared to leave.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that part, "Yeah... right." I simply replied, still laying down on the ground.

Shortly, I heard the distinct teleportation sound, that's all I needed to know that Wilson number... eleven? Was it eleven? Eh, that's all I needed to know that he already departed.

"Time to get some rest-" Just before I was about to let the blissful grasp of slumber take me, I saw the flare, the "brave one" was found.

Is this for real? Like, right now? Just before I was about to rest, the one we were after was found?

"Oh for... can't I get some rest?" I furiously yelled at the sky, "Ugh, might as well get this over with." With reluctance, I transported myself using magic to the current location to wherever my duplicate is at.

As I materialized, two things amused me, one, the pony that got away was actually perching on a tree-branch, two, the reason why he was on the tree was because a pack of timber wolves were right under him, hoping to maul and then consume him.

"It seems that he didn't notice us yet, thinking what I'm thinking?" My clone asked.

"Yup," I replied, "but first, let me regain my magic." I snapped my fingers causing my clones to disperse in a cloud of smoke, the other clones probably did the same as well.

I could feel my magical prowess being revitalized as my duplicate disappeared, "Ah, much, much better." I said to myself as I regained most of my magic back.

Now, I'll need to somehow kill all off the timber wolves wanting to eviscerate him, but how? Now, a fiery inferno might take care of that problem, but, that would probably cause a very, very large forest fire.

Maybe the squall of swords would be a possible solution... nah, that would probably impale the escapee as well. How about slashing them all down? Ah, right, they can regenerate themselves.

I'm running out of ideas fairly quickly, maybe I should get some inspiration from video games I played, heh.

Make the wolves levitate harmlessly in the air? Not only making them vulnerable to attacks, but also completely unable to move? Now that would probably work, nah. I'll save that for another time.

How about opening a wide, dark abyss beneath the wolves? No, what am I thinking? That would probably consume the tree as well.

I guess freezing them would be an option, I guess I'll try that one out.

I condensed freezing arcane energy in the palm of my hand and jumped out of cover, the timberwolves seemed to noticed me.

Not even hesitating to blast them all, I shot a wave of icy magic in an arc at them, effectively freezing them all, and the ground and whatever was behind them.

I briefly saw the Royal guard on the tree sighed in relief, and then gasped in terror as he saw me standing still right where I was.

"There you are! I've been looking forever!" I called out.

He glares in either terror, disbelief, or anger at me for a moment and then proceeds to jump off the tree and make a run for it. Fortunately, for me, I already had a spell prepared.

I quickly shot a bolt of non-lethal ice magic at him before he could successfully escape one more, the bolt of ice managed to land right on his left foreleg.

Aforementioned leg was now encased in ice, disabling him from fleeing effectively.

I disappeared in a flash of black light and reappeared right before him, "Thinking you're going to escape from me for the second time?" I asked him in an intimidating tone, "Don't think so."

The only reply I received from him, however, was a spit at my face.

"In hindsight, I should've probably seen that coming." I sighed as I wipe the spit from my face, "Yeah, funny, wasn't it?"

I then proceed to punch him in the face, "Yeah, who's the comedian now?" I said while nursing my fist, I think I might have decked him too hard.

Now then, I should probably head back using teleportation, one minor inconvenience, though, I'm not sure how to teleport another being.

I suppose I should just carry him through telekinesis all the way to the hideout, but that would probably take way too long.

As I continued to ponder, I could hear him struggle to break free from the ice encasing his foreleg, quite a nuisance, actually.

"Could you stop that?" I asked in annoyance, breaking from my train of thought.

To my surprise, he actually stopped, "Thank you." I responded to his silence.

"Look in front of you... " He said, fear instilled within his tone.

I looked up, and saw what appears to be multiple green glowing eyes in the foliage. Great, even more timberwolves!

"Let me go... Let me go!" He said, struggling even harder to break away the ice.

"Psh, I've dealt with worse." Sorta.

I readied my ice magic once more, but suddenly, the ground shook, making me slightly unbalanced. Suddenly, a colossal timber wolf emerged from the bushes and trees.

I simply gazed at it in awe and a slight bit of terror as it.

    I wasn't expecting this, I knew I shouldn't have skipped the episode.

"Um, sure, yeah." I hastily began to melt away the ice immobilizing him, then I halted.

Hey, it would serve this weasel right if he got eaten.

"Hey! Now's not the time to be day dreaming!" He yelled.

That snapped me out of my daze, "Oh? Yeah, right." I continued to melt away the ice. Soon enough, he broke free from it.

    "Go! Run!" I ordered.

"What? Aren't you here to retake me?" He asked in confusion.

"Well, I need you alive, bloody dolt. Now run!" I commanded once more.

"I can't!" He responded. What a rhetorical reply.

    "Can't or won't?" I yelled back.

    "We're surrounded!"

Immediately upon hearing this, I swiftly did a scan on my environment, unfortunately, he was right, we are surrounded by the them.

If he dies now, all the effort invested in chasing him down would be all for nothing!

    "Draw your blade," I commanded.

    He blinks.

"Draw your blade, imbecile!" I ordered once more. This time, the command that I had given has finally processed correctly in his tiny brain of his.

A wolf lounged at me, luckily, with my sharp reflex, I managed to blast him, mid-pounce, with an orb of potent ice-magic, freezing it from head to tail completely.

The other wolves seemed to disapprove of the murder of one of their brothers, the large one lounges at us, in an attempt to devour the both of us. Luckily, I managed to dodge its mouth, as well as pushed my equine companion out of the way of its mouth.

"I'll keep this mongrel off you! Just, try not to get yourself eaten by the other wolves!" I yelled at my slightly dazed captor as I teleported on the top of the head of the large timber wolf.

In an attempt to not get shaken from the head of the wolf, I materialized a black-sword in my grasp, much similar to the one earlier, and I stabbed it right in the forehead, surprisingly, I secured a good grip right on the wolf.

Unfortunately, it started shaking its head frantically in agony in a desperate attempt to shake me off its head.

Somehow, I managed to maintain my hold, enabling me to channel intense fiery magic in my hand. Once I felt that I had enough power stored within my palm, I jumped off the wolf, and in mid-air, I aimed, and fired.

A massive fireball shot out from my palm and into the wolf as it made contact with the large beast, it exploded, enveloping the wolf, and almost the entire vicinity of the wolf in flames, if I didn't jump far enough, I might have been charred as well.

I think... I might have used way too much energy in that. Well dammit! There's no doubt that bastard got incinerated to ashes!

Might as well check, the blast couldn't have been enough to char his body enough to make him indistinguishable from the other ashes now laying in the, once grassy, fields of ashes.

I looked around the burning remains of the forest, so far, no corpse. I thought it would help me if I doused the flames, and so I made it rain, heavily.

No, not actual rain, mind you. I just shot a barrage of water upwards, making it appear as if it was raining. As soon as the flames were extinguished, I noticed something.

A pathway that I had not notice. In the middle of the pathway was the pony's blade. I placed one and two together, and I came to a conclusion.

"He escaped, once again." I muttered to myself, my right eye twitched briefly.

Insatiable rage building up inside me, I screamed, "FUUUUUUUU-"

Chapter 6. Preparations

The pathway the pony used to flee was ungodly long and riddled with various obstacles, such as, the stupid bushes and foliage. I was currently following his trail, more simply, he was bleeding, probably due to the encounter back there, and I was simply following the drops of blood leading into the forest.

The amount of blood wasn't that high, so, it's unlikely that he'll die from blood loss, he might go unconscious, perhaps, but not dying from it.

Calling this hunt "tedious" would be an understatement, much like saying that the entire WWII caused some property damage among countries.

"God dammit, I let him escaped twice?" I muttered, "I swear," —I conjured a small fireball in my hand—"I'm going to roast his entire family alive." I directed the fireball towards a nearby boulder, the fireball dispersed after charring the spot that it landed on.

I hacked down the foliage and trees standing in my way with an arcane blade I conjured a while ago, forging a path for me to take. Any unfortunate wildlife that had the misfortune of encountering me was quickly dealt with accordingly; They were swiftly disintegrated to ashes upon sight.

Night draws near, soon, darkness shall cloak the land, thus, making my already tedious task even more tedious. Seeing that I might not have ample enough time to find the escapee and return back, I came to a conclusion, I should probably send a clone to order the changelings to execute the operation to kidnap Derpy.

I swear, if those Changelings manage to end up giving away our cover, I swear I'll burn the lot of em'. And more importantly, if they somehow manage to end up killing Derpy, I might as well cause nuclear fallout on this place.

Dismissing the rather spiteful thought, an idea struck me, I could probably instruct a squad of Changelings to disguise themselves as the Royal guards that were sent to capture me, giving the Changelings entry to Ponyville with ease.

Pausing my slaughter of plants, I took a breath, slashing down foliage is more fatiguing than I originally anticipated. After I regained some of my stamina, I casted the cloning spell.

The clone materialized beside me, with an annoyed look,as if saying, "What so you want?"

"I assume I don't need to explain what you need to do." I said to the other me, the duplicate merely waved his hand dismissively.

"Yeah, yeah. No need for a briefing, I know what I need to do." The clone answered with an annoyed tone before disappearing in a flash of black.

I sighed, time to continue the damn search, I suppose. I readied my blade once more, preparing to hack down vines and shrubbery.

More and more deforestation later, I finally stumbled upon the missing pony, but instead of him being awake, he was laying on the ground, unconscious. Huh, so I was right.

I approached his body slowly with a smirk. It was really tempting to butcher him in pieces, but I resisted. I drifted my face closely to his ear, "Have I ever told you the definition of insanity?" I whispered.

The desired effect occurred, he quickly bolted up, he shot a stare at me with fearful eyes. He staggers backward, if he could still run, he would probably do so right now, however, exhaustion, and blood loss probably prohibits him from doing so.

"Insanity is... doing the exact same thing over and over while expecting something different each time." I quoted.

He steps backwards, preparing to bolt once more. I shot a bolt of energy at him, he recoils back , when he checked himself for any injuries, to his surprise, nothing seemed off, he wasn't melting, nor was any of his limbs missing, he sighed in relief. Ha! If only he knew.

"What- what did you do to me?" He finally asked.

My face quickly adorned a smug smirk, "Oh, nothing really," I stated, one of his eyebrows arch, "I just placed a spell on you." I quickly added.

He gulps, "What sort of spell?" He hesitated to ask, worrying what my answer might be. This only fueled my entertainment. I had to struggle not

"Something that I came up a while ago... I may now detonate you whenever I want to, thanks to the spell I placed on you." I answered.

Sadly, it's only temporary, the magic eventually wears off after a day, thus, causing the hex to deactivate. Huh? That's odd, how could I possibly managed to know about that? It's no lie, I'm a novice at magic.

His eyes widen in shock. Heh, his reaction is priceless.

He yelled something about rather dying than being my prisoner, or something, but, after one simple threat about killing one of his friends, the pony was coerced into following me back to the Hive. I would've teleported the both of us there, but, like I stated from before, I am not certain on how to teleport more than one being.

"Where are we? This is definitely not the way back." The pony whined.

"Yeah? Well... do you know how to navigate through this place?" I retorted.

He simply shrugs, "This forest is wild and vague, not even a map of this place exists," He rolls his eyes. "so, yeah, of course I know how to navigate this place." He sarcastically responded.

God dammit, even more wandering through this stupid forest? Gah, I swear I'll burn this place to the ground when I have the chance. Oh wait, I actually posses the power to do so, however, I think I'll just leave it alone, for now.

Meanwhile, the other Wilson arrived back to the changeling hideout...

"Hey! I'm back!" I exclaimed as I opened the castle walls, a crowd of changelings were apparently awaiting my arrival, they cheered as I entered the castle, huh, they must be eager to launch the kidnapping operation.

As I walked through the crow, I was greeted by a familiar sight, Andrei emerged from the crowd of changelings and rushed towards me.

"Wil! What took you so long, it's almost morning, we have to find this "Derpy" character before she leaves for Canterlot." He bashed.

"I haven't forgotten about that, mind you, and I've already got a plan to get our changelings within Ponyville." I stated.

"Really now? Mind tell me what it is?" Andrei questioned.

"Simple, we disguise as the guards that were looking for me."

"Hm, simple indeed. But that might work." Andrei replied, "One minor problem, you won't be able to enter." He added.

"No matter, I'll find a way in." I casually replied.

"Heh, I hope what you're doing," He warned, "By the way, where's the escapee?"

My face featured a sheepish smile, "Heh, about that..."

                                                               Back to the original Wilson...

"Okay, we're back here..." I said as we finally managed to backtrack all the way back to the charred ruins of my wrath. It looked... really dark, nothing but burnt trees, cinder, and ashes fills up the formerly green part of the forest, thankfully, no one bothered to check the place, regardless of the smoke, and light that originated from it.

"I can see that." The pony exasperated.

Urge to kill rising... but I dismissed it, barely. I managed to keep myself calm enough to refrain from saying anything that might traumatize him, such as, the things back in my world, because, I am quite certain that events and things that we humans did or do would be much, much more grim, in contrast to these miniature equines.

Oh yes, much, much more grim.

More wandering through the forest later, through our dumb luck, we managed to stumble upon a manticore blocking the pathway. Fortunately, it was in a rather peaceful slumber, giving us ample enough space and time to decide a method of passing.

"So, kill it or leave it? I asked, not even looking at the pony beside me.

"What?" He was startled by my question.

"I said," I readied a ball of lethal force in my palm and aimed at the sleeping beast, "Kill it or leave it?"

"We leave it!" He exclaimed, "Of course!" He added, as if implying that was the obvious answer.

"Fine, fine." I drew back the power stored in the blast.

"So, riddle me this, how are we going to pass through?"

"Don't you have exceptional magical ability?"

"True, but I got nothing, like I said, I can't teleport the both of us."

           "Why not?"

"I simply don't know how to," I shrugged.

"Why not levitate me over the manticore, and then teleport over?" He suggested.

"Oh yeah," I deadpanned, "One problem, you have to know the location, you're trying to teleport to, which this Manticore is blocking, before you can warp to it, not only is this manticore large enough, it's also dark as all hell." I stated.

He sighs, and proceeds to attempt to conjure another alternative.

An idea hits me, "You know, I can just use a potent sedation spell on it." I suggested.

"Why didn't you say that before?"

"You never asked," I said before shooting the manticore with a purple beam-like ray, the thing didn't even react, not a single flinch. The spell might have worked.

"Did it work?" He asked cautiously while eying on the manticore.

"Only one way to find out." I shot a magically-formed, non-lethal arrow on the manticore's body. It wasn't going that fast, but it managed to stick itself in the manticore. Blood burst out as the arrow hit its target.

No reaction, the manticore is still in its slumber. If the spell wasn't in effect, that manticore would have awoken in a berserk state of rage.

          "Hey! It worked!" I cheered.

"You couldn't find a better way to test that?" He protested.

"Well, the spell worked, didn't it?"

                                                  Back to Wilson number two...

"So, you're not Wilson?" Andrei asked quizzically.

"I am," I stated, "Just a clone of him." I clarified.

I managed to rally the changelings for the operation, they've been ordered to shape-shift into the Royal guards that were either captured or killed by us. Me and the "Royal guards" are currently passing through the route that takes us to the wall surrounding Ponyville.

"Hm, so you're telling me that the original Wilson is currently searching for the escapee?"

"Well, if I do say so myself, I think I would be able to capture him by now."

"That sounds somewhat complicated." Marisa joined in, she apparently wants to procure more spell books from Ponyville, thus, she is joining this mission.

"Aye, indeed it is." I concluded.

After that conversation ended, only the sounds of our steps was heard as we traveled further, it shouldn't be long now until we reach that damn wall.

"Tell me, Wilson, what is it like in your world?" Marisa asked.

That question is something I've anticipated for a long time, however, I didn't exactly prepared myself for.

"Er, well, to some degree, it's much alike to yours," I described, "Just, a lot more buildings and technological marvels strewn about instead of the great wilderness." I added.

"You said that humans are void of magic, how is it possible for you to build these things that the ponies, nor us can we ever dream of building?" She asked.

I pondered before finally reaching an answer, "I guess... it's either determination or the will to do so." I answered.

"Perhaps we should save this conversation for later? I can already see the wall from here." Andrei interrupted.

And he was right, the wall was indeed in sight, I could feel an evil smirk creeping in my mouth. Too bad I can't see the operation as it progresses.

"Well, go on! You know the plan, find the blonde mare with the derpy eyes and the bubble cutie mark, knock her out, kidnap her, replace her, then the mission will be successful." The two changelings nodded.

"Remember! Use the Hive mind!" Marisa reminded me before departing with the rest of the changelings.

What's the Hive mind you ask? Perhaps I'll tell you later, but, I'll tell you this, I had to endure a sizable amount of pain to receive it.

Chapter 7. Camping out

I'm not certain what pisses me off the more, the fact that this forest looks exactly the same wherever we go, or the fact that we got lost in the first place. I have a relic that bestows the wearer untold power! How is it possible to get lost while having that in your possession?

Gah, I probably should've made a trail of some sort.  No matter, I've been through worse.

The both of us traversed  through the untamed depths of the Everfree, we've encountered a few intriguing events, in example, we saw a pack of timber wolves feasting on a recent kill, to say that the Royal guard was disgusted by the sight would be a major understatement.

That's basically it, every other encounter was either a pack of timber wolves, or a manticore, pretty much the usual.

Inevitably, we succumbed to fatigue, too winded to go any further, luckily, we found an empty cave to set up camp in. I preferred finding the castle, but this is nice as well...

To be honest, cutting down the entire forest to carve paths was getting dull to me.

The cave was unsettling, it appeared to go in deeper, but we decided that it's probably best to just camp just inside the entrance.

I was not naive, however. I'm not an idiot who goes and sleep in a random cave, hell, for all I know, a manticore could be living here, so, we ventured deeper into the cave, nothing really special within the caves, just a handful of stalactites and stalagmites here and there.

Fortunately, we came to a conclusion, this cave was unused, no signs of anything whatsoever being here, thankfully. Just to be safe, I created a barrier to block the entrance.

A humble campfire provides a somewhat eerie lighting to our "campsite." Normally, it would probably take hours for me to get a fire started, through the convenience of magic, I simply shot a small bolt of flames at a bundle of timber we gathered earlier engulfing the logs with flames.

We sat down beside the fire, the warmth of the fire was appealing. The cold breeze of the night in the Everfree was harsh.

The Royal guard stared at the campfire as it continued to burn with tired eyes as he rested in the opposite side of the campfire. He looks dead inside, probably because he's aware that he's now a walking bomb, and I have the detonator.

Perhaps starting a conversation would kill some time? At least that would alleviate some of the uncomfortable silence, and perhaps some of the boredom as well.

I doubt he's in the mood to talk right now. First, most of his fellow guards were massacred by me, he was captured by me, and finally, he's lost in the Everfree with me.

    Sucks to be him! Zinger!

"So, what's it like in Ponyville? Well, I assume you're from Ponyville, anyways." I asked, attempting to at least try.

Now that I think about it, that's a dumb question to begin a conversation with.

The earth pony simply glares at me with eyes that gave away his present annoyance.

"Hey, just trying to start a conversation, no need to be all aggressive-like."

Oh wait, he has every right to be pissed off...

   "Goodnight, I guess."

I vanished with a snap of my finger, and rematerialized somewhere deeper in the cave. Yes, I found a much more secluded spot to sleep. Can't risk that pony killing me in my sleep.

And there's no need worrying him escaping... again. He wouldn't escape, no, he couldn't. He would be reduced to a pile of smoldering flesh and gore if he chose to do so.

Finding a somewhat acceptable spot to sleep in, I laid down on the cold surface of the cave, and I tried to sleep, but the cold breeze and the harsh dirt was separating me from my slumber. And even my hungry stomach prevents me from sleeping.

"Gah, damn it all. I'm hungry..." I cursed to myself.

"You know, I never tried horse meat." I mumbled to myself. But I wouldn't devour that light blue maned earth pony, no, now that I've come this far to recapture him, and I refuse to let hunger get the better of me now.

Thankfully, I still have those bottles of water in my bag. Huh, now that you mention it, I am somewhat parched. With that thought in my head, I retrieved one of the bottles of water from my bag, and took a gulp.

Once I took a swig of water, I returned the bottle back to my bag, and attempted to sleep. Somehow, I actually fell to the blissful embrace of slumber this time.

Then I awoke to somewhere unfamiliar, a flat landscape filled with nothing but grass, and an occasional flower or two. The grass swayed as strong gusts of wind assaulted the area.

Hm, a dream? I never had a dream this vivid before. It almost felt as if I'm in reality.

I explored around the grassland, but all I could find was grass, boring, boring grass, and a handful of flowers that I couldn't bother remembering their names. I could identify some though, lilies and roses, but that was about it, I couldn't recognize any of the other plants.

"Well, this is much more boring than I thought, I assumed that dreams like these were much more thrilling than I originally anticipated." I muttered.

"Well, most of the time, they usually are." An all too familiar voice spoke from behind me. No freakin' way, I know that voice...

And look who it is behind me, I spun around, and I saw the blue alicorn, Luna.

"What are you? I've never seen anything like you in my life. And I've been alive for thousands of years." She stated.

"Me? Well, if you must know, I'm Wilson Redd, just a nobody really. And if you wish to know how I got here, I have no clue."

"Wilson Redd? Well, Mr. Red, can you explain to me what you are?" She asked curiously.

"Oh, me? I'm human, a homo sapien, if you wish to be more specific."

"A human...? I've never heard of that race before."

"Well, to be honest, I expected as such. I'm not exactly from here."

      "You're not from here?"

"Eh, long story. I basically came from a planet called earth."

"Well, you're currently in Equis now, pray tell, what made you go here?"

"Hm, my presence here is unintentional, really. And to be honest, I'm not sure how I got here."

      "Ah, I see."

"Mind giving me transport to Canterlot? I've got an injured Royal guard with me, I doubt he'd last long in the Everfree."

"A Royal guard? What was a Royal guard doing with you?" She asked, "And why is he injured, and why is he in the Everfree?" She added.

"Hm, to be fair, I'm not exactly so sure why he's in the Everfree, he was fending off timber wolves when I found him, if I had not intervened, he'd be dead." I lied.

"Oh? I'd assume you're near Ponyville, why not bring him there?" The midnight blue alicorn suggested.

"Two problems, both of us are lost, and, I'm quite certain that the locals would greet us with open arms... er, hooves."

Good, good. Just a bit more deception and I'm out of this place, I just simply need to brief my prisoner what to do.

"Hm, I suppose. Tell me, can you somehow signify your presence? I do believe we are capable to fly over the Everfree with slight difficulty."

"Hm? Isn't the distance from Canterlot to Everfree a bit too far? Well, I could ignite a few of the trees on fire. That would be an effective method. Would that suffice?"

"You underestimate alicorn wings," She stated, "Also, would that not cause a widespread forest fire?" She added in concern.

"No worries, I've control over magic, I can simply douse the flames before it got out of hand... um, hoof, I'm also certain that I'm not too close to equine civilization, so I'm sure that I won't cause any panic of any form."

"You possess magic abilities? I did not expect your species to possess magic by the looks of you," She replied, "Very well, I will glide over the Everfree in search for you and the royal guard."

"Now might be a good time to wake up, Mr Redd." She said.

"Oh, oh right." I stammered before slapping myself in the face, that actually worked in waking me up, although.

I jolted up, and quickly wore a morbidly grim smirk, "Excellent, she didn't see the amulet." I thought to myself.

The amulet was under my shirt, and my blood-stained grey scarf also helped conceal it. But now, I have one major problem, the earth pony will, without a doubt, rout my devious plot. It's not really that brilliant, to be honest, it basically goes like this, first, befriend them, second, plot a bomb-ass plan to take over Equestria, finally, execute the plan.

Wait, dominate Equestria? I don't remember that being my original goal. Then again, I always liked power, power was too addictive, the amulet was giving me unmeasurable amounts of power, but, I simply need more.

I need to think of something quickly. I teleported back to the campfire, the pony was conveniently in a peaceful slumber. Then human innovation struck me like an arrow, use an amnesia spell!

I prepared the spell, which didn't take that long, actually. A spherical orb of white materialized from my palm, once the orb has stored enough potency for the spell to work, I aimed at the earth pony and launched the orb.

There was a flash of white for a split-second as the orb made contact with the pony, the spell worked? Possibly, I'm not certain, I don't even know how I learned that spell in the first place. Did the amulet give it to me? Bah, who cares, as long as it works, I'm content.

The pony woke up with a flinch, "Huh? What?" he said as he bolted upright.

"Ah, good, you're finally awake!" I cheered in fake joy.

He recoiled in horror as he saw me, "Ack! Monster!" He screeched in terror as he began to make a bolt for it to the not-really-that-safe safety of the forest, however, the barrier that I placed that was intended to keep creatures outside managed to prevented his escape.

He slammed into the barrier with great speed, knocking himself out. I stared at the unconscious body of the pony in silence. Two seconds has passed, and I broke from my intent stare to a fit of laughter.

"Oh god! That was hilarious. You know what? I think you're better off like this, mate." I exclaimed at his body.

Right, right. I need to set the forest ablaze. So, I teleported outside, and pondered, "Which tree am I going to burn?"

I then proceed to point my finger at a random tree, "I guess that one will do."

Just before I was about to unleash an orb of flame from my palm, I paused and thought to myself, "You know what? The whole orb-projectile thing is really getting dull."

       Perhaps I'll try something else?

I began to think what would be a more interesting way of unleashing flames against whatever stands your way. Beams? Naw, even the ponies use beams. Swords made of fire? Now that's simply lazy.

I continued brainstorming, I scrapped many concepts, but I decided that I'll stick to this particular idea. Conjuring wyvern-esque beings made of fire.

I focused, condensing magic into my palm, it took much loner to prepare, but it would be certainly be much more devastating. Once the ball of magic was condensed enough, I directed it at the ground in front of me.

A bright, orange abyss opened up in front of me, shortly after the portal was created, three fiery beings which resembled wyverns emerged from the fiery rift, they circled the skies above me, illuminating the night sky in a display of fire.

"Oh, this is awesome," I said to myself in awe, I impressed myself quite effectively.

I watched them, awestruck, before muttering to myself, "Now then? How do I tell them to burn that tree down exactly?" I pondered to myself.

I began a train of thought before concluding a method, "Eh, I guess that will work," I muttered to myself, "Sic em'." I shouted as I pointed my finger at the poor, poor tree, and the fiery beings complied, they dive bombed the tree.

A large explosion followed by two other explosions shook the earth. What replaced the dense foliage was burning trees and mounds of ash, and infernos that would make a human, or pony, melt just by look at it.

       "I might have overdone that."

Chapter 8. Sinister Intent

The inadequately lit throne room of the changeling hideout was empty, save for Chrysalis who was resting upon her obsidian black throne, and for one particular changeling who stood guard beside her throne, the changeling wore a cloak, much similar to that of Marisa's but a bit slighter darker shade of of black.

"So, is this it? Your brilliant plan? To mind-control the human who you gave the amulet to?" A young, male changeling, stationed beside the Queen's throne, whose mane was scarlet-red and wild, and possessed grey eyes asked.

This particular changeling was renowned for his prowess in combat, he is known to be heartless, or indifferent among his fellow changelings, thus, he is usually avoided by other changelings due to his cold personality, leaving him alone most of the time, but, he doesn't seem to care at all.

He was part of the changeling "Reapers," the most well-trained of the changeling military, although, he was a bit more experienced than most of the Reapers.

He views killing as past-time, even. He has a morbid tendency to seek out a random target, be it pony or gryphon, or whatever, and murder them with no remorse.

He had a horrible history with ponies, he was once rogue, living upon ponies a long time ago. He wore the persona of a stallion named Autumn Spear. He lived his former life as a guardspony, that is, until the local ponies discovered that he was a changeling.

They turned on him, even his closest friends didn't even bother to defend him whatsoever. So, in defense, he was forced to escape to the Everfree.

He was being hunted by a handful of ponies who loathe the changeling race, they followed him all the way to the Everfree. Fortunately, a group of changelings managed to find him cornered, trying to fend off his aggressors. Needless to say, the other changelings managed to subdue and capture most of the assaulting ponies. He would've been killed if he was not found by them.

"Yes, so it is, Viktor." She responded with a stoic tone.

"So, the assault on the wedding... was to gather enough love to amplify the power of the amulet?" Viktor asked.

"Yes, and this "mixture" that he assumes to be a detergent to combat against the amulet's corruption is actually the one we used to mind control the three ponies back in the crystal caves."

"Hm, but doesn't this have a few issues?" Viktor asked.

"The one we used was experimental, this one, however, is more efficient. If this was completed earlier, I would've given him this as soon as I gave him the Alicorn amulet." Chrysalis stated.

"Hm, no wonder. For a moment, it looked like you just gave a being you just met a relic of unimaginable power."

"Oh please, I'm not that idiotic." Chrysalis snorted.

"What of the zebra? What was her name? Zecora, was it? We had to capture and interrogate her to locate the amulet, and we stationed another changeling there to disguise him, or herself as her. Don't you think that some ponies would be dumb enough to traverse the Everfree to find her?"

"She does have a fair amount of potion brewery experience. It's no doubt that some travelers would brave the Everfree for them."  Andrei added.

"Her? The disturbingly high presence of monsters recently has discouraged the majority of ponies from venturing here. And if there are that is 'brave' enough to go look for her little hut, they would be quickly dispatched by the wildlife." She explained.

" And just to be safe, we've destroyed the road that ponies usually take to travel to her hut." Chrysalis stated.

Suddenly, the door leading to the throne room opened, a female changeling mage entered the room as the door swung open.

The changeling mage had an emerald mane,

The mage halted in the center of the throne room and bowed, "My queen, the "forced compliance" potion has been completed." The changeling stated as she levitated a bottle of greyish liquid with magic.

"The imperfections of the last one has been erased, this one will no doubt control the human with ease." The mage added.

"Perfect! Viktor, find the human and offer him the bottle immediately." Chrysalis ordered.

The changeling coldly smirked, "If I'm lucky, I might be able to find something to kill, it was getting fairly boring just standing here," The changeling took the bottle before walking towards the door.

The changeling paused and unsheathed his blade, a finely crafted sabre stolen from an armory long ago. Not a single scratch, nor imperfection was present. It's cold steel shined in the greenish-light, it would be such a shame for a weapon of such fine craftsmanship to be tarnished with blood.

But, it would be a waste for it not to be used in combat.

"Hm, sharp as ever. Hope something's unfortunate enough to get in my way," Viktor muttered, chuckling as he exited the throne room.

Chrysalis heard that particular laugh, it was not uncommon for him to do that before painting the ground with blood from several fallen foes. She heard that chuckle a long time ago, when she and her changelings found him in the burning ruins of what was once his former home.

                                                                         Shifting into Chrysalis' perspective...

It was back when my changelings rescued him, when her changelings repelled the ponies from killing him. We brought him back to the hive. When he got there, he barely spoke. He was... so filled with spite and anger, she could feel it, hell, any changeling could detect emotions.

He headed back to the village, he had a score to settle with. Of course, my changelings and herself followed him, in an attempt to not get himself killed. But before my changelings noticed his absence, he already took off, with a saber that he found in one of our weapons cache in his magical grip.

We tried looking for him, that was, until one of us spotted smoke coming from the village. We rushed to see what happened, expecting the worse. And so it was, in a sense. The entire village was engulfed in a colossal inferno, the screams of ponies being emitted from the town are still embed within our minds.

My changelings and I entered the city with caution, to our surprise, the entire streets were littered with corpses that were either burned to death, or either stabbed to death. Some of my troops even fled, I can't really say I blame them.

Of course, we can't drain the love of dead ponies, rendering the corpses useless, so, we scrambled to locate any survivors. Sadly, there was little to none.

And those that did survive weren't even grateful to be still alive, they either had severed wings, severed horn, or severed legs, or suffered extreme injuries due to the flames.

Eventually, out of all the changelings there, I was the one who found him. He was pointing his blade at a mare who I assumed to be his former friend.

He was laughing like a madpony, the mare was pleading to him by the looks of it, although, her words were unclear to me as I was too far away. He then plunged his blade into her throat, causing me to recoil back. Somehow, he spots me, then he started trotting towards me.

I did nothing but simply stood there, I was too stunned to do anything, really. The fact that this one changeling set ablaze to this entire village was quite an ungraspable concept.

Finally, once he was near enough, he simply spoke these words, "I had a score to settle, sorry to kill off your entire food-supply." He then proceeds to walk past me.

Viktor was a remorseless killer. He was feared by my other changelings, even disgusted by some.

However, his skills in combat were far too impressive to be ignored, so we took him in. Up to this day, he serves as a Reaper, and occasionally a combat instructor.

Eventually, we had to set up another hideout closer to a source, so that's how we found this abandoned castle in the Everfree, the pony establishment dubbed 'Ponyville' was relatively nearby, so it was an optimal spot to relocate to.

We then found a Zebra, named Zecora. She lived in some sort of house in the middle of the Everfree. We captured her, and shortly replaced her with another changeling, though, the changeling we used to replace her has a habit of making her sentences rhyme.

I wanted to see if she knew anypony, so we started asking her questions, rummaging through her belongings, and checking to see if there were anypony who would visit her.

Apparently, she wasn't really well known, she claimed that whenever she headed out to the nearby settlement, Ponyville, every single of them would avoid her, fearing that she might he a monster of some sort. Ah, pony xenophobia at its finest.

We wanted to see if she was telling the truth or not, so we sent the changeling disguised as her to Ponyville, it seems that she was honest after all as every single inhabitant concealed themselves from her. Ironically, a single filly apparently followed her all the way back to her hut in the Everfree.

'Zecora' had to improvise, but I feel like this story should be saved for another day. She was stationed there, in the guise of a potion brewer, just incase anypony would want help from her.

Recently, a blue showmare named Trixie apparently got her hooves on the alicorn amulet, this was appealing news to us. We began to devise a plan to take it from her, but all we needed to do was to simply wait.

One of the Elements of Harmony, Twilight Sparkle, headed out to 'Zecora' for some advice. And some time later, the lavender pony challenged Trixie to some sort of due, unfortunately, it wasn't to the death.

Somehow, 'Zecora' managed to take the amulet away from Twilight, saying that she's going to "Keep it somewhere safe."

The love we managed to gather from the raid on Canterlot was ample enough to increase the powers of the amulet significantly, all we needed now, was a wearer. Coincidentally, a changeling found a long forgotten spell written in a dusty tome deep within the Canterlot archives. The spell was intended to summon beings called humans, these humans are exceptional in terms of warfare, or so the book described them as to be.

Intrigued, I summoned one, and lo and behold, Wilson was placed here.

"My queen, is it really wise for you to send him off like that?" The changeling mage spoke, breaking my train of thought.

      "Hm? What do you mean?"

"Like you said, the presence of monsters lurking around has increased by a disturbing amount."

"Have you not heard about him? He is Viktor, the finest there is in the changeling army. No manticore could hope to bring him down."

"But a pack of them might be able to-" Before the changeling could finish, Chrysalis interrupted her.

"Not even by a long shot. He once found a den filled with them, there were newborn manticores there as well."

The changeling had a visible slightly half-startled, half-fearful demeanor as Chrysalis said that particular sentence.

"So, the rumors about him is true?" The mage asked.

        I simply nod.

"Well... I must go now, my Queen."

"Very well, you may go now." I responded.

The changeling promptly bowed and shortly vanished in an array of green flames. The eerie silence has once settled upon the throne room once more.

I relaxed on my surprisingly comfortable throne. Suddenly, I finds herself bored. I sighs in boredom, "Ugh, why is this place so dull?" I muttered in annoyance. My boredom is justifiable, the throne room was indeed dull, only a chandelier burning a mysterious green flame lit the room, however, changelings have exceptional night-vision, so it didn't matter.

The decors are dreary, the walls are dreary, the ceiling is dreary, the portraits on the dreary walls are dreary. Is there not anything her that is not dreary?

Then I remembered, we found a crate filled with wine bottles a few weeks ago. Now might be a good time for a nice glass of wine.

Chapter 9. To Canterlot!

So far, the flames that are reducing the forest to mounds of ashes showed no signs of being extinguished whatsoever, regardless of the amount of water I'm dousing it on. I am literally using enough water to flood a small town.

Did I mention how large the inferno is? Holy hell, it looks like a pyromaniac's dreamland. The flames would go for for miles, victimizing unfortunate local wildlife, and even more trees in the process. The stench of scorched trees lingers in the air, billows of smoke surround the entire area, and the skies above it.

Addendum, I made it rain, no, literally, I created a heavy-storm. It was showering heavily, thanks to my magic, obviously. Unfortunately, magical fire is much, MUCH more difficult to put out in comparison with normal fire. Isn't that nice? You literally have to make it storm to even douse the smallest of flames.

As expected, I've managed to get myself drenched in water, now I'm going to be stuck with wet clothes for a while since I didn't exactly pack any extra clothing.

Note to self, learn an instant drying spell as soon as possible.

"God dammit, I probably shouldn't have condensed that much power in those dragon things," I cursed as I shot a stream of water at the flames, extinguishing most of the flames within the vicinity.

It just occurred to me, I'm putting out magical fire with magical water. Ironic, isn't it?

The violent, magically-created squall gave no quarter to the equally-violent fires, the raindrops pounded the ground with force, it also pelted me as well. Most of the flames that once engulfed the forest are now extinguished, albeit, most of the trees around me are now puddles of water mixed with ash.

As I desperately shot barrage after barrage of water, I failed to notice something in the distance, a certain blue alicorn preparing to land.

Now this, is the epitome of bad timing.

"Oh bloody hell..." I muttered as the blue alicorn landed on the damp, black ground near me. The storm dousing her with unrelenting water. As she landed, she made a small splash of dark mud by accident, causing her to slightly flinch in surprise.

She glares at me with eyes that depict rage, her teeth clenched. The particular look she's directing at me is actually very unnerving... and quite intimidating.

'Alright, what do I say? Gah, what does it matter? I'm half-expecting her to decapitate me right here, or something. I guess the 'don't be an idiot' option is the best one I have right now.' I thought.

With my mind somewhat blotted in nervousness, I shot a sheepish smile, "Uh, Luna, it looks like you found me!"

Yep, definitely losing my head tonight.

"I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T LET THIS GET OUT OF HAND!" she bellowed with the archaic Royal Canterlot voice, almost deafening me in the process.

"Well, it still is." I retorted, proceeding to douse another flame-engulfed tree in water.

"How? How did this happen?" She asked.

"Magic gone wrong, terribly wrong." I answered.

She scowls at me with eyes that shew no mercy, "Where's the injured Royal guard you were talking about?" she asked.

"Woah, you're not just leaving me here, are you?"

     "Perhaps." she simply responded.

Well, there would be no repercussions, or downside, to letting her take him, he is in fact, in an amnesiac state. But then again, I do want to go to Canterlot.

You know, perhaps learn a few spells or so in the Canterlot archives, and in general, to earn their trust, so I can stab them in the back later.

"Oh come on! You're not leaving me in the middle of some accursed forest now, would you?"

"Fine, just... get this problem fixed."

"I'm doing that right now, the guard you're looking for is in that cave, by the way." I pointed at the general direction where the guard was knocked out.

She simply nods and proceeds to approach the cave. Out of pure misfortune, I forgot to deactivate the barrier, causing Luna to bump into the invisible wall snout first. She made a resounding screech of slight pain as she smacked into aforementioned barrier.

I heard her wince of pain as she made contact with the barrier with an audible thud, causing me to curse myself as I recalled that I placed a barrier there.

"Wha- what is this? A barrier?" she yelped.

      "Yes?" I answered.

"Why is there a barrier here?" she questioned.

"Well, to prevent any wild life looking for an easy meal, of course."

She glares at me skeptically, prompting me to remove the barrier blocking her path. She disappeared from my sight as she entered the cave.

Well, at least now I can focus on extinguishing the flames. Ugh, intensive usage of magic is making me extremely weary.

Several minutes of magic-intensive water spells later, I've successfully managed to put out the last of the flames, albeit, this entire sector of the forest was reduced to nothing, but puddles of watery-ash now, although, I'm on the verge of passing into unconsciousness.

I was panting on the ground out of pure exhaustion. Suddenly, I heard footsteps, er, hoofsteps, given the current situation.

"Well, it seems you've used too much magic..." I heard Luna say from behind me.

Without even bothering to look at her, I muttered, "Ugh, remind me to never do this again..." I said before my mind went dark.

                                                                  Somewhere in the Everfree...

        Shifting into Viktor's perspective...

My orders were to bring this mixture to Wilson, in hopes to control his mind. However, that was somewhat postponed when I saw something... interesting.

A large, large portion of the forest was reduced to ash. Well, muddy-ash to be exact. The sight was peculiar, at best. As I looked around, I saw what appears to be a cave.

"What the hell happened here? Could've it been a dragon? No, that wouldn't explain why the ashes are damp."

Making my way into the cave with caution, I could've sworn something felt off. This wasn't the first time I felt something like this. Call it a sixth-sense or whatever.

Readying my blade with magic, I delved into the cave.

Nothing, there was surprisingly nothing within the cave.

Disappointed, I sheathed my prized saber and departed, this place was rather dull anyways.

Having exiting from the ashy portion of the forest, I resumed my search for the human once more. Unsurprisingly, the abundant green foliage bored me as well. I traversed these depths of the forest countless of times, nothing particularly new here.

I've traveled all the way to the outskirts of the forest, Ponyville being visible already. He was here somewhere, I know of it. He was leading an assault on the small establishment, but, he would not reveal himself now, he said he'd wait somewhere just outside of it.

It didn't take long for me to spot him, he was perched on a tree, eying on the town with bored eyes.

"Perfect." I muttered to myself with a grim smirk.

Now shifting into Wilson number two's perspective...

So far, my changelings managed to capture and successfully replace at least twenty unsuspecting ponies. How I knew this without actually being there? The Hivemind, of course. If you must ask, it's basically telepathy between changelings.

The process of obtaining it is quite agonizing, actually. They shoot some sort of green beam right at your forehead, and if you're lucky, you won't pass out from the sheer pain.

Fortunately, I placed some sort of pain-dulling spell on myself, so the pain wasn't that excruciating, although, the pain wasn't completely numbed; the process still hurt like hell .

The primary objective of this plan was to prevent Princess Celestia from being notified of my presence here, thus, we had to hunt down the messenger, which was, to my luck, Derpy.

The changelings managed to capture her in about, ten minutes, without harming her, of course, otherwise, I'd reduce them to ashes if they somehow managed to get her harmed, or worse, killed. I've massacred those guards back there without remorse, but, I'd hate to see a mare like her die.

The optional objective was to capture the Elements of Harmony, all six of them. And if anything was compromised, I was to be sent there and confront them, and hopefully, prevent things from getting any worse. Oh, and to capture as many ponies as possible, without anypony alerting other ponies, of course.

"Hey, Wil, I've managed to found the Element of Loyalty, she's sleeping on a tree. What do you think? Should we go for it?

Before I could reply, I heard something from behind me, "Boo." a ghastly voice whispered behind me, which startled me, causing me to stumble, which, inevitably made me fall down to the cold, cold ground with a resounding thump.

Out of reflex, I began to charge magical energy in my palm and fired away at the tree blindly. The upper-half of the tree was completely decimated, the tree was now replaced with a stump with a burnt marking on the upper part of it. And yet, there was no singed corpse of my 'assailant.'

I stood up with caution while looking around. Suddenly, green flames appeared in front of me, startling me, I was about to prepare yet, another blast, until I recalled that green flames appearing out of nowhere was usually a sign of a changeling teleporting.

The changeling fully rematerialized in front of me, "That was a close one, you know." the male changeling stated.

This particular changeling had a faded, crimson scarlet mane, and possessed aqua eyes. Those weren't his most defining features, however, he had dark bags under his eyes.

"Gah, what the hell was that about? You nearly gave me a heart-attack." I growled.

"Relax, relax. I'm here to give you the detergent for the amulet." He stated as he levitated a mysterious bottle to me.

"No need for that scare still," I replied before taking the bottle from his telekinetic grip.

Stop! Don't drink that, you fool! I heard a voice within my head bellow.

The sudden voice startled me, almost causing me to drop the bottle. All the while making the changeling eye me curiously. The voice sounded female, but, it was extremely garbled, so I was unsure who it exactly belonged to.

"Did... did you hear that?" I questioned him about the phantom voice.

      "Hear what, exactly?" He responded.

How odd, the voice was way too loud to not hear it. It couldn't have been my imagination, was it? I dunno, hunger and sleep deprivation will torment a man with illusions.

"Don't drink that, trust me, you really don't want to." The voice was clear this time, and now, I could recognize it properly this time. It was the voice of Nightmare Moon, I was sure of it.

What the-? Nightmare Moon? How- How did you... get inside my mind?

None of that matters, just whatever you do, don't drink whatever that changeling is offering.

     But... why not?

I know much of the changelings, they are quite the deceptive race. They'll back-stab their allies as soon as the opportunity appears. Addendum, I've recalled a brew that changelings made in order to control the minds of whoever drank it.

I backed away from the changeling slowly. What? They wouldn't stab me in the back, would they?

"Where are you going?" The changeling asked.

I'm not sure if I should trust you.

Fine, but if you turn into a mindless slave for the Changelings, don't blame me.

"Can I refuse your offer? I'm sure I can cope with the madness..." I suggested.

"Not an option, we wouldn't want you to go insane, now, do we?" He responded.

The amulet's effects can't be simply deterred by a simply mixture, you know.

She has a point, a simple brew wouldn't be able to deter the side-effects of an ancient, magical relic. Unless it's magical brew, which does not appear to be the case here, it seems that I can detect magic being emitted from anything now, and it appears that the brew was indeed not emitting magic.

Suddenly, a simple idea struck me.

"This doesn't exactly look tasty, why don't you drink a sip of it?" I asked. However, the changeling's face didn't even look worried.

      Good thinking...

"I'd rather not." He replied as he slowly shook his head.

"Hm, I think I won't drink it then." I stated.

"You're willing to go insane just because you think it's bad...?" He questioned.

         "Um, yes?" I deadpanned.

"I believe you didn't hear me, I said that you'll go insane if you don't drink it."

"I said I'd rather not." I stated defiantly as I threw the bottle, shattering it as it struck the ground.

"Dammit... it looks like I'll have to force you to drink it." The changeling said with spite.

Dammit, it looks like I'll have to fight this guy. This is your fault, you do know that, right?

       You'll thank me later.

I glanced towards the changeling, he was unsheathing his blade with his magical grip, while eying me with angered eyes.

Back to Wilson number one...

What... what happened? Ah right, I passed out. Right... oh crap!

I regained consciousness, I immediately bolted up, I glanced around my surroundings. It was a dark... cell? A dungeon cell of some sort. The dark corridors were lit by a handful of torches, there seemed to be a number of cells that are unoccupied across from mine, although, none of them were occupied.

The apparently ancient dungeon was prominent of the smell of mildew, these dungeon cells are certainly not maintained frequently, not that I was expecting them to be.

Glancing around my gloomy environment, I suddenly realize that my bloodstained scarf was missing, no, I'm actually wearing a whole new set of clothes that consists what appears to be a simple dark T-shirt, navy-blue cloak, complete with strange symbols sewn on it, a fine, dark cloth jacket, how they managed to make one especially for me is beyond my comprehension, and finally, greyish pants known as jeans.

It's impressive that they somehow managed to take my measurements and somehow made clothes for a human being like me without any idea what they're doing. The cloak is indeed pretty nice as well... makes me feel like an assassin. Although leather is probably not used  in this cloak, they probably made this cloak with polyester or something.

"Oh crap..." I muttered to myself as the realization hit me.

First, they switched my clothes while I was unconscious, which is, in fact, wrong in so many levels. Second, there's no doubt that they saw the Alicorn amulet.

I tried to teleport out of here, but to no avail, something appears to be negating my magic. Confused and panicking, I attempted to cast spells randomly while muttering every possible curse known to humanity.

Then I saw it, some sort of marking on my right arm. The inky mark depicted a horn that appears to be crumbling apart, that was more than enough to signify that it was some sort of magic nullification symbol, or what-not.

Suddenly, I heard foot- hoof steps. A unicorn guard with a torch in his magical grip approached my cell. He had an amber coat, brownish mane, and ruby-red eyes.

He halted in front of my cell, and proceeds to eye me curiously before levitating a key and unlocking the cell door.

"About time you woke up, beast. Follow me, the princesses wishes to speak to you." He stated

"Hey, hey. I'm a human, not some sort of animal." I said defensively.

He responded by simply rolling his eyes. Oh, this bastard is definitely dying once I get my powers back.

We began the walk to wherever the princesses wish to speak to me at. The cells were completely empty. I suppose the ratio of crimes in Equestria is ridiculously low, as expected.

More, and more walking later, I find myself walking through the large corridors of the castle, and unfortunately, I managed to find that guy, oh yes, Prince Blue Blood. Surely he isn't that bad as he is depicted in the show, right? Of course not! He kept saying things along the lines of, "What is that hideous thing?" or, "Such a thing shouldn't be alive!"

"Can I murder that bastard?" I asked my escort.

"If you do, we'd be more than happy to see that . But, you'd be most likely executed."

That actually made me chuckle a bit.

The meeting room was impressive, to say the least. A wide, glossy brown table was placed in the middle of the room. There were cabinets present at the right side of the room. On the left wall was a painting, with a masterfully crafted frame. The painting depicted the two royal sisters; Celestia and Luna. There were guards stationed beside the princesses.

On the other side of the table, was Celestia who was drinking some sort of tea, and beside her, was Luna, who was drinking tea as well.

Celestia sipped her tea before dismissing the guard, "Thank you for escorting... him, you may leave now, guard." her tone was stoic; void of any emotions. Frightening, if you ask me.

Luna was the first to speak, "Tell me, how did you find that relic you have?"

Think of something cunning fast, if I screw this up, I'm done for. I thought to myself.

"I've no idea, I was already wearing it when I got here." I lied. Probably not the best lie I could go for, but hey, what's done is done.

"How did you exactly get here?" Celestia asked.

Before I could answer her, Luna interrupted, "He claims that he does not know, sister."

"Indeed, I was on the way to a friend of mine's wedding, and the next thing I know, I end up waking up in the Everfree."

"Hm, Is it true that you're immune to the amulet's side-effect?" Celestia asked.

Me? Immune to the side-effect? Of course not- wait, if I was not immune to it, then that means that I would've gone crazy from it by now, considering I overused it last night... So, possibly, I might actually be immune.

"Apparently so, I've used this thing for a few days now." I said. Somewhat of a half-truth, really. I didn't really have that thing for days, but, I think I might have overused the amulet itself last night that would've probably corrupted me by now.

"So, I've heard you saved one of my Royal guards from a pack of timber wolves?" Celestia asked.

"Indeed, I was wandering around the forest, hoping to find shelter, then I saw a pony being cornered by timber wolves. And you know, being a good guy and all, I saved him."

I really hope they believe all that nonsense. I thought to myself.

"See? I told you he was harmless." I heard Luna whisper to her older sister.

Celestia sighs, "Well, it seems that you mean no harm, Mr Will? Was it?"

"Wilson. His name is Wilson, Tia." Luna corrected.

"Wilson, you may stay at our finest guest room in Canterlot, it's the least we could do for saving one of our dear subjects."

        "Thanks. Er, I suppose."

She turned to one of the guards, "Escort him to his room, attend to him if he needs anything." She ordered.

The guard nodded to the command, he proceeds open the door leading out of the throne room, and gestured me to follow him, and of course, I did.

Me and my escort departed from the throne room.

The walk to the guestroom I was offered was somewhat irritating, ponies everywhere eying on me with disgust, curiosity, or, contempt. But I ignored the stares.

We arrived at the door to my room, about time, the stares they were giving me was pestering me.

I faced him, "Thanks, I suppose. I guess that will be all." I stated.

"I will be right behind this door, tell me if you require anything." He responded, to which I nod my head in acknowledgement.

With that little conversation over, I opened the door to my room. The room was large, a few cabinets were placed on the corner, a moderately large drawer in the middle corner of the room, complete with a large mirror with an intricate frame. A large, reddish carpet was laid on the floor.

Finally, a normal sized bed with a nightstand, with a fine lamp, beside it. Well, in a pony's perspective, this bed might've been considered large.

I eye the bed tiredly, "Well... I haven't gotten a good rest since I got here." I muttered to myself before deciding to collapse on the bed.
