As Spike Dragul and his twin sister, Quill Dragul, come to trems with their new lives as run aways in Everfree forest, they will learn what it really means to become the twin dragons of High Moon valley.

After another failed attempt to get information about dragons out of Twilight, Spike, and his twin sister Quill ventures to Canterlot in hopes of finding the knowledge that they seek. However their hopes are dashed when Discord comes through and dishes out his brand of chaotic misfortune.

Now on the run, the twin dragons along with their pet phoenixes must rely on each other to survive the dangerous of deep Everfree forests without Twilight to save them. As they come to terms with this new life, a mysterious equine takes them to a place that has been thought to be long since destroyed; High Moon valley.
