It was a summer night in Ponyville and Twilight Sparkle; who is usually sleeping by now, is awake, studying. She is trying to master a really difficult spell, and was being absolutely restless! Books were everywhere on the floor, she had spilled 3 botlles of ink in a matter of minutes, and to top it off, she had lost her really, really, REALLY important spell book! She tossed books off the shelves looking for the one book that mattered to her at the moment: Talia Rio's guide to all things magic and strange. Suddenly, a blue blinding light filled the room, and Twilight coul'n't see a thing but a mixture between white, and green.

She was blinded for several minutes, and when she felt that her eyes werent in pain anymore, she opened them. She immediatly looked out her window to see a green light flowing out from the everfree forest upwards towards where she figured Cloudsdale was. "Spike!" She called. "Where are you?" She didnt receive an awnser and looked around for Spike. Spike was nowhere to be found! Suddenly Twilight got extremely worried; Where was spike, what was that light, and what should she do now? She had no idea's other then to head to her nearest friends house. At the moment that was Rarity so she rushed out the door to get to Rarity's.

When she got to Rarity's she was in such a hurry that she forgot ot knock and just just burst in yelling "Rarity Rarity where are you!?" Rarity hurried down the stairs looking really tired, with bags underneith her eyes. Twilight explained what had happened and Rarity said she hadn't seen any blue light. Twilight was really confused by this, and she asked Rarity if she had seen Spike. Rarity said that she had seen a small creature in a suit with a top hat and a mustache going to the woods. Twilight knew that this had been Spike because he had used that disguise before when he was trying to frame owlawiccios(horrible spelling, sorry) They rushed out of the house to the edge of everfree forest, they had to find Spike, and find out what that light is, coming from the forest that seems to be something only she can see.
