Chapter 1-
A seaweed colored filly sat outside her house and let out a sigh. She wouldn’t move, no matter how much her mother or father tried to tempt her. It was an amazing day outside, and she wouldn’t let her parents ruin it. It was the first week of being in Ponyville. Before, she lived in Canterlot, bullied by everyone, simply for not having a cutie mark....Hated by everyone, she somehow ended up hating herself. Her parents noticed something, so they left for Ponyville, hoping the ponies, fillies, and colts would be kinder there.
This earth pony, however, refused to accept the fact she wasn’t hated anymore. Tomorrow, she would start school. She thought horrible thoughts of fillies laughing in her face...”Ha ha! You have no cutie mark!” She shuddered at the thought. This little filly was named Seaweed Marine. She couldn’t bear the thought of going to school. She could imagine all the faces on the other fillies’ faces, surprised they got a new student, laughing that she didn’t have her cutie mark...
Seaweed sighed. She doubted those thoughts were true...but what if they were? She shivered at the thought of starting school. “But maybe the fillies there will be nice.” She thought. She didn’t believe herself. She thought that the fillies there would be just as mean as the ones in Canterlot. She sighed and looked at her blank flank. Of course, it was just as blank as before...She was talentless....Just plain talentless....
************
Seaweed walked to school alone. She looked at the school. It was so small, but she wasn’t ready to tackle it. If only it were Friday. She would only have to survive one day. But no. It was Monday. This would be the first of the 5 days of torture. Seaweed walked into the school and blushed, her tail covering her flank. A light yellow filly, a sugar white filly, and a cantaloupe-colored filly sat together, behind a fuchsia-colored pony and a gray pony. Seaweed stood in the front of the class, nervous. “H-Hello...” She said. “I-I’m Seaweed Marine...” Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, of course, broke out laughing. “That’s a RIDICULOUS name!” Diamond Tiara said, and Silver Spoon, still laughing, said, “And I bet you have a blank flank!”
Seaweed wanted to cry. The fillies here were just as mean as the ones back in Canterlot. “I-If you’d all excuse me...” She ran outside, letting the tears pour down her seaweed-colored face. Diamond and Silver were both laughing, calling her a baby. Seaweed felt terrible. Not only had she just proved herself a baby, but she also had just made herself look stupid on the first day. The three fillies she had seen behind Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked outside. “Are you okay?” Applebloom asked.
Seaweed hid her blank flank, turned her head away so they couldn’t see tears, and nodded. “Are you sure?” Sweetie Belle asked. Seaweed simply nodded again. “Really really sure?” Scootaloo asked. Seaweed, yet again, nodded. “Those two are Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.” Sweetie Belle said. “They’re always picking on fillies with blank flanks.” Seaweed still hid her face, with no reply. “It was actually Diamond and Silver that made us all realize that all three of us had no cutie mark.” Applebloom said. Seaweed looked up. “N-No cutie mark...?” She asked. Scootaloo nodded. “Yeah.” She said. “Now come back inside. Miss Cheerilee is worried.”
************
Seaweed was ready to come back into the school after that, so she did. School was almost over by the time she checked the clock on the wall. She sighed. She liked school, the three fillies, and most of all, Miss Cheerilee. She was one of the nicest teachers she had ever met. In Canterlot, the teachers slightly encouraged the other fillies to make fun of Seaweed. Since Miss Cheerilee didn’t, Seaweed liked her.
Before she knew it, school was over. Seaweed walked outside the school, happy that she liked school. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, however, cornered Seaweed, for this was their chance. “Hey!” Diamond Tiara said. Seaweed instantly covered her blank-flank. “Why are you covering your flank?” Silver Spoon asked, for it was now obvious Seaweed had no cutie mark. “I-I have a cutie mark, if that’s what y-you’re wondering!” Diamond Tiara giggled. “Of course you do.” Seaweed’s heart was pounding. She was scared. Very scared.
“Leave her alone!” A voice said. Seaweed looked around and saw the fillies who talked to her earlier. She was so thankful, but couldn’t say a thing. Silver Spoon just giggled and walked off with her friend. “You okay?” Applebloom said, repeating the question she asked earlier. Seaweed nodded. “Yeah, thanks. I’m Seaweed Marine, as I said earlier.” “I’m Applebloom.” said Applebloom, smiling. “Scootaloo.” said Scootaloo. “I’m Sweetie Belle.” said Sweetie Belle. Seaweed smiled. “Thanks for helping me. I best be getting home.” She said, heading towards her house. She was happy. Maybe she had finally made some friends...

Chapter 2
Chapter 2-
The next day, Seaweed wasn’t afraid to go to school. She WAS, however, afraid about her blank flank, “But who knows?” She thought. “Maybe I’ll discover my talent.” She walked outside, still having 30 minutes before she had to go to school. Her mother and father walked outside, clearly worried about something.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?” Her mother asked.
Seaweed laughed a little. “Yeah, I’m okay.”
“Are you sure?” Her father asked.
“You guys are starting to sound paranoid.” Seaweed commented. “We’re just worried about you.” Her father said. Seaweed sighed, annoyed by her parents. 28 minutes until school. Couldn’t she just sit outside and FINALLY be away from other ponies for a while? Her parents got the message just by seeing Seaweed’s facial expression, and walked inside, with a little “I love you,” from both her mother and her father. Seaweed sighed, happy to finally be away from the burden of life, of other ponies.
Her parents were always pressuring her. To be the best, to be at the top, never giving her time alone. Never letting her be herself. She was always, to her parents, supposed to be perfect in every way they could think. That annoyed Seaweed greatly. She just wanted to be herself, away from pressure. She wanted to be able to fail tests, get homework wrong, and forget things, at least sometimes.
Later, Seaweed walked to school, a little saddle covering her flank. She wasn’t afraid of school, at least not that day. She was prepared for the two fillies...what were their names again? Diamond Spoon and Silver Tiara....? She walked into the classroom, smiled at Miss Cheerilee, and sat at her desk, keeping her attention off of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. When Cheerilee wasn’t looking, Diamond Tiara took Seaweed’s saddle off and laughed really hard. “I knew it!” She said. “You have a blank flank!” Seaweed was angry that Diamond Tiara was nosy enough to look and see if she had a cutie mark, but she was embarrassed. Silver Spoon was laughing, too.
Seaweed just sat there, allowing herself to get as embarrassed as the two fillies pleased, but then broke. “W-Will you....” Seaweed started. “W-Will I what?” Diamond Tiara said, mocking Seaweed. “WILL YOU BE QUIET AND KEEP YOUR NOSY NOSE TO YOUR OWN SELF AND STOP WORRYING ABOUT WHO HAS A CUTIE MARK AND WHO DOESN’T?!?!” Seaweed, at that moment, realized how angry she was and how loud she yelled. The Sweetie Belle, Applebloom, and Scootaloo were staring, surprised Seaweed had the guts to yell at Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. “Seaweed, please calm down or I’ll be forced to give you a detention.” Cheerilee said. Seaweed sighed and sat down, still feeling rage bubbling up inside her. “Boy,” she thought. “Yelling at those two felt good.”
************
Seaweed walked out of the class later, feeling proud of herself. Yelling at those two bully fillies really felt good. Anger and rage had been building up inside her for years, and she finally was able to let it out, although she was close to getting a detention. Her parents would be mad at her if she did. She would hate to see her parents angry... “That was amazing!” Someone said. Seaweed looked around, and saw Applebloom and the other Cutie Mark Crusaders. “Nopony has ever yelled at those two like that before!” Seaweed smiled, happy that she had actually took a stand in a way nopony else had. “I bet Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are regretting ever bullying you!” Scootaloo said. Seaweed laughed. “I guess we are friends...maybe just unannounced friends.”
“How was your day?” Seaweed’s parents asked when she got home. Seaweed smiled. “It was great. I think I made some new friends.” Her parents were relieved to hear this. “I even stood up to some bullies today!” This made her parents proud. “Who were they bullying?” Her mother asked. Seaweed instantly regretted telling her parents about standing up to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. They would freak out and then make Seaweed go to another school!
“I-It was me...” She said, afraid that her parents would freak out about getting bullied. Her mother clapped. “That’s great, sweetheart!” Her father said. “Huh?!” Seaweed said, surprised her mother and father were actually APPROVING of this. “It’s amazing how you were able to stand up to someone!” her mother said. Seaweed sighed. So like her parents. “I’m gonna go to my room.” She said, walking. She shut herself into her room and screamed into her pillow. “My parents are such WEIRD ponies!” Seaweed looked out her window. Were here and the Cutie Mark Crusaders really friends, or did they just talk to her because they like what she did? Do her parents really care about her? Was she friendless at the moment, or maybe even forever? Her biggest, strongest, question was....Are Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon just bullying her because they’re hiding something?
(Well! Chapter 2 is up! I'm happy people have liked, commented, and tracked my story. I thank everyone for being nice and for constructive criticism! Have a good day, and I hope you enjoyed chapter 2. ^^)
