The Equestrian Psychological Thriller
Chapter 2: Water and Rarity don't mix
Previous ChapterI managed to lift myself from once below to appear in yet another dark, disgusting room; I peered into the darkness trying to find the source of the muffled breathing I was hearing, knowing that something… some new sick game was going down.
“Welcome! Glad to see you’re awake, finally. Well this ain’t no bonus round! So, with all seriousness let me shed a little light on the situation.” The lights flickered on to reveal that I was in a cage locked with a series of locks attached to wires. In front of my cage was an empty pool, just big enough for two people to fit in and deep enough to dive in. Inside was a white unicorn with a messed up dark purple mane and her make-up running from her tears, she was gaged and bound to a chair inside the pit, her eyes were hidden behind a bandanna tied behind her head.
“Ahh yes, the most attractive Mare in Ponyville; Rarity.” She let out a muffle yell to the sound of her name. “Now then you should feel your voice getting stronger, no? Try it out.” I hesitated but then tried speaking.
“W-w-wh-hy *Cough*” I began a coughing fit, my throat still burning. The stallion simply laughed.
“Aww man, woooowe! That should be enough for some… entertainment.” I scowled as I fell back on my haunches and began to caress my throat.
“Ok ok, let’s explain this next challenge, wing in machine, that’s all I’m gonna say…bye!” the voice disappeared and was replaced by a distant roaring that slowly got closer, chilling me to the very bone, then, the pit began to flood with water! By Celestia! He was gonna drown the mare! I looked around frantically trying to decipher the riddle sounding instructions. I looked at the wall behind me and gazed into a slot in the wall, Put wing in machine? What could that mean!? I could hear the muffled screams of Rarity as the cold water began rushing past her haunches and continued up her body at a surprising rate as I began to flap my left wing. I thought it over a bit, but I now knew what must be done… I ever so slowly slid my wing into the slot… moving inch by inch dying of anticipation of what will happen. I now have my wing fully in the slot… nothing happened, but then… SLICE! The mechanism on the other side tore down through my wing sending waves of pain throughout my body! I launched out and began to scream as I bat my stump of a wing, blood pour everywhere drenching my coat and the floor with the warm redness, My throat burning as I began to pour what contents I had in my stomach, the tremendous pain flowing through my body was too much I blacked out for a bit, I was in a black void, when an image of the white mare came to me.
“No!” I yelled, slowly staggering to my feet with drool dripping from the corner of my mouth, the blood slowly starting to stop gushing out. I heard a click, and all the locks fell of the barred door, Rarity was now fully submersed in water…my time was running out. I staggered to the pit, taking in a deep breath; I dove in, my blood mixing in with the water. I swam down, nearly passing out with each stroke, but, I have been known for my determination back in Los Pegasus. I reached the unconscious mare, undoing her binds with my teeth. I grabbed her and swam up with all energy I had left, I was so cold, cold and tired, just to go home and get some sleep in my bed… I shook the weariness of me and I pulled myself and Rarity out of the water. I fell flat right next to her and took in several deep breaths, I undid her gag and the bandanna, and she took in a deep breath and coughed out some water. She opened her eyes and turned to me in fear
“W-what do you want from me! Who are you!?” She bucked me in the face with her hind hoof, and I passed out. I saw nothing, but I could hear a series of muffled yelling and screaming, then I saw a light and felt a…tapping on my forehead; it grew brighter with each coming second, and the tapping on my forehead felt…clearer and soon I found myself staring at a leaky ceiling again. A sudden pain and bitter cold rushed through me, I looked around my body, and focusing on the cheaply sowed stump I called a wing, my coat was filthy with grime and dried up blood and next to me was the very same mare I rescued from the last round. I attempted to sit up, but failed due to my lack of energy so I slumped back down.
“Hello!” That damned voice called out! “Wow… you’re greater than I expected! The first real round, your first save! Nice! I applaud you.” He then continued to insult me by clapping and applauding my “Valiant efforts”.
“S-shut… Up.” I managed to let out. Rarity began to awake and let out a groan. She turned to me
“Y-you!” She managed to slide away from me and sat up. I turned to her and forced myself to sit up. “Wait… you’re the one who saved me!” she approached me quickly and embraced me in a painful hug, forcing me to let out a hearty groan. “Oh I’m so sorry! I’m just sorry that I kicked you! I was confused and scared-“
“I-it’s okay.” I interrupted her letting out a deep sigh.
“D’awww! So cute! Ushy goshy lovy wuvy! Blahh, let’s get started, I have much in store for you two this next round! Double team!” The stallion mocked. “And your voice is returning right according to plan! Which is perfect since you two need to cooperate for this bonus round, and since there is twice of you I decided to up the stakes a bit.
