Apple Leaves
Chapter 11: Epilogue AKA Chapter 0
Previous ChapterChapter 0 – Time
The only thing…I can think about…Is revisiting her.
The only thing…That actually helps me stay sane…Is this Idea. This plan.
Everything
depends on this.
I searched one and a half month for this, and finally got everything together; an old scroll I found in the hole where the portal used to be, told me what I need to create a dimension portal.
First off, you can only reactivate portals with this, so I took the only one I know: The hole which I and Chris fell into.
A circle painted with blue powder, found in the ashes of a volcano, eight torches in the shape of an octagon, lit with a burning rod made out of wood. The torches must have a special kind of coal in them, only found in the depths of lakes.
All I got to do now is say the magic formula.
“Space itself is just a force, using it against divorce, travel me to a different land, Equestria is what I demand!”
I finish my speech, as the torches suddenly switch into blue flames. They jump over to the center, and create a huge flame, which leads to an explosion.
I fall down, not seeing what’s going on through the cyan smoke.
As all settles, there is an amazing sight. The same hole that was in the ground is back! The lightly blue sparkling hole is as astounding as ever, yet seems just like a normal hole in the ground.

“Sorry boy, but your friend didn’t make it. He died off the heavy bleedings. We can’t do anymore for him.”
“W-What? He is…Dead?”
“I am sorry.”
All of this was my own fault…I could have stopped him, I know it. I could have found a way to stop him without…Doing…This to him!
And now…Now…I killed not only someone, but my best and only very good friend…
I walk home.
It’s getting late already. I told my parents I was just sleeping at a friends place for some time and excused myself.
On my way I don’t really think about anything. My legs got a little better so I can walk normally.
I get home. My parents greet me, not really saying anything, but “How was it”. I tell them it was fine and go upstairs into my room.
I…Killed him. With my hands, my sword…My mind.
No.
No, this was right. I did it for the better of two worlds, for…Equestria.
But come to think of it…Is Discord free now that Chris is dead? Or…Did he die together with his body?
…I have to check. I got to go back to Equestria.
I jump into the hole, not knowing what exactly will await me, if this works or not, if I go to Equestria or even another planet…
A horrible headache later, I arrive at a familiar place.
I wake up on the hill where me and Applejack had our picnics on. No time to lose. Yet again in my pony form I have to remember how the walking is different.
It is raining. While I want to get up I almost slip and fall over. Then I get it right and stand up to get going.
It’s not far to Ponyville, but I have another destination.
I am already at Sweet Apple Acres but I keep moving through the city instead of going in. I walk on, as I see the empty streets of Ponyville, without any big change.
I go on, realizing I am in front of Twilight Sparkles tree, yet I still don’t stop and go on.
A few minutes later I arrive at the bone yard where I see some pony next to a grave crying.
It’s mature and female; she wears a coat so her mane doesn’t get wet. I walk next to her, realizing what happens.
I hug her, as she cries on.
The pony I am next to has a red mane, eyes filled with liquid sadness and a yellow-ish face: Applebloom.
I read the text on the grave, and am shocked: HERE LIES APPLEJACK.
I am speechless. To be honest, I thought Granny Smith died because - Wait…
I was away one and a half month which equals around 40 days…Which means…
"Why did you never come back? She waited for you. Every day she skipped everything just to go around, searching for a trail of you, even though you would be too late. Why?"
I stand up she speaks with a water covered face. The rain begins to fall even harder than before. I...Can't grasp what happens at this moment, turn around and...
I run. And run. And run even more.
I don’t know when I stop. My mind is numb. I am running through the whole town, past all the ponies’ houses.
I run up to the hill, looking over the city. I lose my senses there. I remember our first picnic, our first kiss, and especially, how she hugged me, how we fell in love overall.
And I fall for a second time. I fall but this time, I won’t come back.
I fall. And I remember…Remember a short time of pure happiness in my life, a time when I had what I always desired.
When I had, what I always dreamt of.
Water fills my eyes, as I close them.
I had all this even together with a friend. A very good friend who understood me.
Who died by my sword…
I open my eyes, releasing a last teardrop...Falling with the rain.
I can see the ground.
I can see my end.
I can see… The end.
