My vision kept flickering. Fading in and out of focus, but it didn't stop me. I'd survived 3 manticore attacks and I was never going to let something so insignificant as my vision stop me. Still, I'd only survived those attacks because of Cyclone and I'd still taken some serious hits. My right side had a wide and deep gash running from the back of my neck to my rear leg. I also had a broken foreleg, causing me to limp with my hoof lifted off the ground. But none of this slowed my pace.
~Atom. Man I know we need to get out of here pronto, but this is really taking a toll on you. Rest!~ He sounded worn out. We all did.
+I agree, Atom we need to rest.+
/ We will rest as soon as we get out of this forest. It's too dangerous here when we're awake. We'd be sitting ducks asleep! \
I was beginning to be come agitated and they sensed it, being all of the same mind. They allowed my anger to fade, realising I wouldn't give in.
My vision flickered again and when my eyes re-focused I noticed the trees were beginning to thin. We must nearly be out! My confidence bolstered and I allowed a small smile to shape my dry mouth. We were finally going to get out of this hell-hole. We all new what we needed first: Food and water!
My pace quickened at the thought, but the days were just now catching up on me. I staggered and put my hoof on a tree to steady myself. I shook my head trying to clear the dizziness, but it refused to budge, so I continued emerging out of the forest and into the dazzling sun. Too dazzling.
My eyes began to sting after being in that dingy and dark forest for over a week. I kept walking though determined to find some sort of settlement. I was in luck. After another ten minutes of blind walking, I felt the terrain change from grass and dirt to some sort of path. I followed the path with my eyes in each direction it followed. At one end was some sort of orchard, I could just make out two of the words that hung on a sign above the gate: Sweet Apple....
In the other direction I saw a small town with a large tree-building type thing near the centre.
My thoughts were disrupted as my wounds began to protest at me. I looked at my self. My vest was torn in multiple places and by shades hung broken out of the top pocket. And in it's usual place the hilt of a sword, was strapped to my broken hoof. I realised my mistake and strapped it to my right hoof which relieved some of the pain in my broken one.
Suddenly, a wave of intense pain caused me to drop to my knees. I cried out in pain as my broken hoof hit the ground. My vision began to flicker again and I realised there was no fighting it this time. Passing out was inevitable. I allowed my head to drop to the ground. I began to hear things as my senses began to fade along with my vision. I saw an orange mare and a large red stallion galloping towards me. But then my vision failed completely and I fell into a peaceful slumber.
-------------------------------
My eyes snapped open, but my body failed to react as fast. I noticed I was in a hospital bed and gown. Damn, I wonder whether I can get a new vest made. Then my heart skipped a beat. I couldn't feel the normal sensation of a band wrapped around my wrist. [ I'm not sure if wrist is correct, or if it's ankle, but I'm just gonna' say wrist anyway. ]
I tried to pull my arm up to double check but I found, they were restrained. What the bloody hell was going on?! I began to struggle as I felt Cyclone and Proton wake.
~Ugh, what the fuck happened- wait why are we being restrained!~
+What are you talking abou- wait, your right!+
/ Welcome back Sherlock, now can you guys do anything useful besides point out the obvious?! \ I was beginning to become frightened, so I let Cyclone take over. He still had no luck. I took control of my body again and began roaring out in anger. I had to find Breeze! If I lost that sword my life would be over!
I heard the door burst open and suddenly I was surrounded by doctors and nurses calming me down. Being the stubborn idiot that I am I insisted they let me go and hand over Breeze. But they held me down as I felt a needle pierce my arm and my strength fade. Just before my eyes closed again I saw a group of six ponies looking through the door, their faces filled with pity for me. I thought I saw the same orange mare that had been galloping toward me the first time I passed out. Speaking of passing out.
-------------------------------
When I came too for the second time, I noticed the restraints were tighter. I knew there was no way I was getting out of this, so I surveyed the room and let out a sigh of relief spotting the familiar sword hilt sitting on the bed-side table.
"Ok,", I was speaking out loud to help me organise everything more clearly, ", so I got out of that forest, found a path and passed out. Woke up with no Breeze, no vest and no way of moving. This week has gone perfect!", I said with just a hint of sarcasm.
I looked out the window nearby. The sun wasn't up so I decided it would be better to sleep off the drug they had given me.
~Well looks like we might be having a turn of luck!~
+NO! Why'd you say that?! There's no wood here to touch, so you probably just jynxed us!+
~Oops.~
I chuckled slightly to myself as I allowed purposeful sleep to take over.

Well guys there's the first chapter! I know it's quite short but I'll try to make them longer!
As following the trend I will be doing a chapter a day, and if I miss one it's probably because I'm busy so don't bug me!
Anyway see ya! And if you liked the story, you should have started tracking when you started reading!
