"Mistress Celestia your nephew is here per your request," The royal guard said from the door leading int the observatory. The goddess of the sun turned and looked at the guard. "Good let him in," She said in a soft and kind voice giving the guard a smile as he stepped aside allowing entry for the black alicorn. A quarter metal pony began to follow him inside but was stopped by the guard, Naga looked kindly at the guard and said "It's perfectly fine he's my bodyguard, anywhere I go so does he." The guard looked sceptically to Celestia who nodded and smiled, at this the white unicorn removed the hoof he had placed between the metallic stallion and the entryway.

The guard pulled the door shut and as soon as the wooden frame finished closing Celestia's face fell into a more somber one. "Naga I'm sure you know that ever since the attack at Ponyvile we have been at war. And that I wouldn't call you here out of the blue for no good reason. The truth of the matter is I'm dying." She said without so much as flinching. Glare on the other hand collapsed on his flesh and blood side to the floor at the sentence. "And?" Naga asked "I already knew this aunt what is it you need?" She smiled at this. "I need Twilight, I need her to take my place and carry my burden as the sun goddess, you can see how they would react." She said motioning to the fainted Red Glare "In that way I can live as long as I am allowed in my normal alicorn form and we need not put the kingdom through the death of a god before a war. You will take your mothers place as lord of the night and you will reign in our place. I have arranged for the ceremony to take place at the next summer sun celebration, there I will pass the mantle to her and she will raise the moon and the following night you will raise the moon in a similar ceremony. As you know the celebration is only a week off and I had planed to do this next year but fate has decided otherwise. I now ask you to tell Twilight the news and help her adjust to the idea."

Naga pondered this for a moment, "Alright but I need to ask a few things first." he said. "Shoot." "I want to know if it would be ok to move the capital to the Everfree castle. That way the transition wont separate the elements of harmony.." He was cut off by Celestia saying "And keep Twilight close to her friends so she can still lead a semi-normal life." Naga simply stood there not saying a thing nor letting his face betray a single emotion. "Yes that will be acceptable, a new beginning in an old one. Something poetic about it." Naga smiled and nodded his head, "Thank you aunty, now as for the matter of you and mother I believe it best if you stay here and keep up public appearances. remain social and ease tension as needed, because there certainly will be plenty. And now that we have the details out of the way my reason for coming immediately as this could have waited until tomorrow, these 'morphlings' I want to know what may have caused this attack. As far as I know we have nothing they want nor do we offer a quarrel. Neither are they known to be an aggressive race, they primarily only attack when their mates the changelings as they are called are under attack."

Celestia looked away guardedly for a moment, "As it turns out they attempted to conquer Equestria to feed on the abundant love here. A member of the only other surviving alicorn family name Candace and your brother-in-law Drove them out using their combined power whereas I could not in my weak state." Naga facehoofed, "All races that have angered the morphlings have been eradicated from existence. I do believe we are in some deep shit, but I think I have a solution.
