"No...." Discord whispered as he watched the Elements of Harmony, once again, power up and begin to glow. Twilight Sparkle's eyes shined a white so bright it nearly blinded him, her horn blazed and a mighty rainbow of power grew from the six little ponies he once saw as so inferior, and started storming toward him at a relentless pace.

How could this be happening? Discord thought, the Elements beat me once, I will NOT let them defeat me again! With one last ditch effort, Discord used all the power he had, he concentrated all of it in her, the only one left he knew he could rely on to keep his beautiful chaos alive forever, just as the unstoppable force of the Elements plowed straight through his very existence.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" he screamed as he felt a sudden numbness pass through his body and within a few seconds he felt nothing at all and his final scream faded into empty air.

The ceremony thanking Twilight Sparkle and her friends had ended, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna had helped restore peace in Equestria and things were finally turning back to how they were meant to be. Houses in Ponyville were no longer upside down and flying about, things were all pretty much normal, apart from Pinkie's Pie insane knocking on Twilight's front door.

"Twilight! Twilight! Open the door! I've got something i neeeeeeeeed to tell you!" Pinkie shouted through the wooden door.

Reluctantly, a tired Twilight jumped out of bed, dazedly drifted down stairs and opened the door. This decision was soon regretted as she was forced into a manic hyper Pinkie Pie hug.

"Hey Twilight!"

"Pinkie... I.. Can't Breathe..." Twilight stuttered out, gasping for air.

"Oh, sorry Twi!" Pinkie giggled, releasing Twilight from her big bear hug. "I'm just really, really excited! I'm planning a giant, super duper party for us and the girls! We have all been so busy lately fixing up the town and making things go back to normal we haven't had a chance to have any real fun in ages!"

Twilight sighed. She was still worn out from all the work she had been doing around town and she was behind on her studies. But maybe a famous Pinkie Pie party would be exactly what she needed to get herself back into the normality of life.

Looking into the crazy pony's big blue eyes Twilight said "That sounds perfect Pinkie! When is it?"

"Yay Yay Yay!" Pinkie shouted bouncing up and down, "Just come to Sugarcube Corner tonight at 7! Here's an invitation just in case you forget! Spike is invited too, of course!"

After scanning the invitation top to bottom Twilight looked up at the smiling pink mare and said "that's perfect! I'll see you there then!"

"Great! See ya later Twilight!" Pinkie replied happily as she bounced away.

That pony really is completely crazy Twilight thought to herself as she closed the big wooden door behind her

It was getting dark already, the cold winter air was brushing silently against Twilights face as she gazed up at the beautiful night sky, taking in Luna's perfect world of shining stars. This was definitely when she felt most at peace, just walking through the quiet streets of Ponyville without a care in the world.

"C'mon Twilight! We don't wanna be late for Pinkie's party!" Spike whined for the fourth time zapping Twilight back into reality.

"Spike! Look there's Sugarcube Corner! We're nearly there." said Twilight with a clear hint of annoyance in her voice.

When they finally arrived at the party, Twilight's first thought was, where is everypony? The room was empty. The food was laid out, the punch bowl was full, but Pinkie and the others were no where to be seen. Twilight was just about to call out when she heard an all to familiar laugh coming from out the back of the building.

"Hahahahaha!" chanted Trixie, "The Great and Powerful Trixie is back, and this time, I will be the one with the last laugh!"

"You better shut ya loud mouth before i buck ya inta oblivion" Applejack said angrily

"Guys what's happening?!" Twilight asked worryingly after rushing outside.

"Oh, so the mighty Twilight Sparkle has come to join the party has she? Hahahaha! It just gets better and better!" Trixie said in her normal snarly voice.

"Trixie has returned darling and believes that this time she is going to somehow 'defeat' us all. It's all rather pathetic if you ask me." Rarity told Twilight while glaring intently at Trixie.

"Oh you fools, you believe that it is just I, the Great and Powerful Trixie that has returned? I have been given such unstoppable power by the most brilliant being in Equestria nothing can stop me! This time I am ready, you will NOT make an idiot out of me this time, is that not right, Twilight Sparkle."

"Whaaaa?" Twilight began before she was interrupted by something she never thought would ever interrupt her... herself.

"She wasn't talking to you, Twilight Sparkle."

Standing before the six ponies, right next to Trixie, was Twilight, another Twilight, yet this version of her didn't have her purple glow, her happy smile, she was darker, she was like her shadow.

"Hahahaha! This, you silly foals, is only the start! Come on out everypony!" Trixie was in complete glory saying every word.

As soon as Trixie finished her sentence, more hoof steps could be heard in the darkness and a dark, shadowy version of Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity all walked out in turn, each looking into the eyes of their lighter selves.

"Meet the bearers of the Elements of CHAOS!" Trixie chanted. "Today is only for viewing though sadly, but soon we will return ever more powerful and take over little Ponyville and soon after the whole of Equestria! Hahahahaha!" Turning her back on Elements of Harmony, Trixie finished her chant with, "Come along everypony, we know what we have to do".

All in turn, the dark ponies turned around and started to walk away, except for the dark Twilight, instead she walked straight up to face the real Twilight face to face and calmly said "One day Twilight Sparkle, I'm going to destroy you" and, with a small grin, teleported away.

Silence ebbed into each of the six friends as they stood there, the cold wind air passing through their manes, completely unknown to them, they felt nothing until Spike ripped them back into existence by saying "What happens now..?"

"I don't know Spike... I don't even know what just happened, was that even real?" Twilight stammered.

"I hope not" said Pinkie sadly, "that completely ruined the party."

"Ah'm sure everything will be just fine, first of all, Twi, could ya write a letter to tha Princess tellin her what just happened? Then I think we should try to calm down for ah bit an go back into Sugarcube Corner and try to have ah good time." Applejack said, trying to get hold of the situation.

"That sounds like a great idea AJ!" Rainbow Dash added.

"Okay, come on girls, lets head back in and I'll write this letter and we can all be happy." Twilight replied giving a little smile.

After deciding that a party and a letter was the best way to deal with the issue, they headed back on in to the colourful building and finally started having a good time.

Twilight thought it would be best if she wrote the letter straight away, informing the Princess of the problem while it was still on her mind, she wondered what Trixie meant when she said 'we know what we have to do'. Twilight had beaten Trixie before, but this time she was scared but thought, when the Princess knows about it, everything will feel alot better and so she began to write.

After about five minutes of writing, with every detail perfect, Spike sent the letter flying out the window into the open air into a cloud of ash heading straight for Canterlot.

"C'mon Twilight! Now get on over here and start shakin' that grove thang!" Pinkie called over happily.

I hope she replies soon Twilight thought as she took a drink and ran across the floor straight into the middle of her friends, dancing happily.
