Chapter #1 Woona
{Author Note: This is my own take on "Moonstuck" within my previously established "Equestira's Crazies" Canon}
"So do I have to do this again?" asked Luna as she trudged along behind her sister.
Celestia let out a sigh "This is the tenth time you've asked. You have to do this because you've done something bad and when ponies do something bad they need to be punished."
The two alicorns approached the large wooden doors that led to the main hall. Before Celestia could make it to the door however Luna rushed ahead and placing herself between her older sister and the door. Knowing she had little time to save herself from a fate worse than Death.
"But sister you never gave me a chance to defend myself." she said attempting to stall her sister long enough for her to think of a long term solution.
Celestia was well aware of her sister’s intention. She was also aware that Luna had no defense. However she was in need of a good laugh.
"Okay than Luna, give me one reason to justify blowing up have the castle."
"It was only one third of the castle" Luna said awkwardly.
Celestia glared at the moon goddess
"You have one minute if you are unable to convince me than you'll have to march into the room and face your punishment with what little dignity you still have."
"Okay" Luna stammered "The reason I blew up part of the castle was...." Luna did her best but her mind kept drawing blanks. Deep down inside she knew she had no actual reason for what she'd done, or more accurately what her and Discord had done. At the time it seemed quite funny. Discord had conjured up some of his special chocolate milk which they placed under Nightmare's bed. Not enough to cause major damage to the castle, just enough to send her half way to Las Pegasus. However they might have over done it with the milk. Either way it had been four days since they last saw Nightmare. Luna was quickly snapped out of thought by a hoof waving in front of her.
"Equestria to Luna, do you read me? Come in Luna." her sister finished with a giggle.
"Huh... What?" asked the slightly dazed Alicorn.
"30 seconds and you still haven't told me anything thing."
The princess of the Moon began to panic. She had no defense, heck she didn't even have a window to jump out of.
Pony feathers she swore to herself If Nightmare were here she'd be able to sweet talk her out of this.
"So Luna your times up, what do you have for me?" Celestia said smugly.
"Buck it" She answered flatly "I've got nothing."
Celestia's expression quickly became serious "Than Princess Luna of Equestria due to your crime against Equestria and to my trip to Las Pegasus which I now have to postpone. I find you guilty and you shall serve out your sentence within the castle wa...”
"You really enjoy being a judge don't you?" interrupted Luna
Celestia's face quickly changed from serious back to her normal cheerful one.
"Just a little." She said with a chuckle. "Let us go, so you may serve out your punishment."
"Fine." The night princess said with a sigh before stepping away from the door.
With the familiar golden flare of Celestia's horn the door began to open. Luna closed her eyes and braised herself whatever waits beyond that door could possibly be the worst thing ever. However nothing happened, but Luna didn't dare to open her eyes she knew it could be anything including another cockatrice. Last time Celestia had hid one in her bathroom. It had taken her seven hours to remember the reversal spell. She knew if she opened her eyes now it meant infinite suffering.
Several minutes passed and nothing happened. Luna began to wonder if maybe it wasn't that bad after all, with all her courage and will power Luna opened her eyes. What she saw stunned her, where once only her sister stood there were now several smaller unfamiliar foals and one very familiar black Alicorn.
"Sister what is the meaning of this?" asked the extremely confused Luna.
"Oh what ever do you mean dear sister?" answered Celestia with a sly grin.
"I thought you said I was going to be punished, instead you lead me to a room of foals.” Luna's expression quickly shifted to one of pure terror. "Please don't tell me I have to foal sit them, you know I'm not good with children."
Celestia let out soft chuckle "No sisters you do not have to foal sit them. Your punishment is much simpler than that. You see these are the children of the castle staff and guards most of the time they are off in the castle play area. However since you and Discord decided to blow it up these foals have nothing to do for most of the day."
Nightmare leaned in, pulling Celestia closer to her. "Did they really blow up the Foals play area?" she asked with a hoof over her mouth in an attempt to keep Luna from reading her lips.
"Nope" Celestia said with a grin "I'm well aware of the risks within the castle I personally placed the barriers over that portion of the castle myself. Not even a god could crack those barriers."
"Hello?" Interrupted Luna
"Oh where was I?" Celestia said with another chuckle "Oh yes, since you two left these children with nothing to do for most of the day. I've decided that it is only fair if you entertain them yourself."
"Wait!" Shouted Luna "If this is supposed to be both of our punishment than where is Discord? Secondly how am I supposed to entertain seven foals for most of the day?"
Before Celestia could begin answering Luna's questions Nightmare began to speak.
"First off since both of you felt the need to disturb my sleep I've decided to personalize the punishment. Discord is currently the center piece of a garden belonging to a cheerful purple sea serpent in the middle of the ever free forest. To answer your second questions it's quite simple really. All you have to do is read a story to these foals each day."
Luna perked up "Well that's not a problem at all, I enjoy read and we have a big selection of books.....in the....library, aw pony feathers that blew up didn't it?"
Nightmare and Celestia both nodded in unison.
"So what am I suppose to read to them?" asked the now heartbroken Luna.
Celestia shrugged "You're a being of infinite age; you have to have something stored in that head of yours." With a flash Celestia vanished leaving Luna to fend against Nightmare Moon and seven foals.
"Okay than let’s get comfortable as I think of a story for us." With a flash of her horn the Center of the room was filled with pillows and chairs.
"So does anybody have a favorite story? Maybe I know it too." Luna asked hopefully
Nightmare hoof quickly shot up "Pick me! Pick me!" she repeated.
"No Nightmare I will not tell them the story of how we tried to conquer Equestria and bring about eternal night." Luna said sternly.
"Aw" Nightmare sighed a look of disappointment on her face "But it's a classic"
Luna's face lit up. "I've got a great story; it was one Celestia use to tell me when we still lived in the Everfree castle."
Luna's magic began to form into a cloud above her head. At first many of the foals were a little nervous as the lights began to die out in the room. Noticing this she used her magic to relight some of the candles scattered around the room.
"Do not worry my little ponies; this is the tale of Woona. The most adorable princess to ever live. Not only is she the most adorable princess she's also the best princess, do you want to know why?"
Several of the foals nodded their heads.
"The reason Woona is the best princess is simple, she is princess of the moon. Now you might think that's a ridiculous thing to be princess of moon, but you should know the moon is the most interesting place ever. Now listen as I tell you the story of Woona and her adventures stuck on the moon.
"That sound a lot like another Princess I know." Nightmare said glaring at her.
"Quiet you!" Luna snapped
With a flare of her horn the purple cloud of magic above her began to form into an image.
"Any resemblance to famous Alicorn ether Living or Dead is purely coincidental and should be ignored because Nightmare Moon is a big meanie therefore whatever she says is wrong." Luna quickly blurted out
Chapter 2: What Would Woona Do?
With another flare of her horn Luna let her magic engulf the room. Transporting the young foals and several of the guards to an almost perfect replica of the moon. The terrain was quite different from that of Equestria instead of grass and trees; there was only an endless expanse of gray dirt and craters. However there was a silent beauty to this harsh rock, as if it hid many secrets.
Luna did her best to gain the foals attention. After trying to all them failed to work she resorted to the only logical solution.
She began flaying her hooves around like a mad mare, which worked surprisingly enough.
"Now before this story begins. There are a few things you should know about Princess Woona. As I have already said Princess Lun... I mean Woona is the most adorable Princess ever. But she's also one of the most talented Princesses. She's been on many adventures and has gained many skills. However in this story Woona will need to use all of them if she wants’ to make it back home."
However before Luna could begin telling her story a young pegasi filly had already raised her hoof.
"It seems we already have some questions, first though why don't you tell me your name." Luna asked the gray filly.
"My.... my name is Dinky doo, your highness." stammered the little gray filly.
Luna let out a soft chuckle "Well Dinky Doo, pleased to meet you. Though please just call me Luna, no need to be formal when among friends."
For a few seconds Luna thought that maybe the filly might explode. The smile that spread across the face was one of happiness she had not seen in quite some time.
"Now Dinky, what was your question?"
"I was just wondering how Woona got stuck on the moon."
Uh oh Luna thought to herself she hadn't planned onto foals catching onto such minor details such as "Why is that pony trapped on the moon." or "How did you accidentally eat the piece of cake I had hidden on the surface of the sun."
This might ruin everything she said to herself now descending into deep panic.
"What an inquisitive little foal you are." Rang the sweet but eerie voice of Nightmare Moon.
Black tendrils began to crawl across the lunar surface before gently dragging the gray filly back over to their master. However for a situation that would normal frighten the average child, Dinky remained calm.
"Here's the 20 bits, good work kid." Nightmare whispered into the filly’s ear. Before looking back up towards the other ponies. "Why don't I answer this question Luna?"
What are you up to? Luna asked herself She's never let something go and I blew her half way across Equestria Luna continued to Nightmare for any signs that would give her plans away.
"I'll take that as a yes." Nightmare said with a grin
Before Luna could even answer let alone object Nightmare began to speak
"You see children; this isn't going to be a regular story, as you can tell by this nice little spell created by Princess Luna"
She's being nice; she's never nice.
"In fact this is a completely new story; no pony in Equestria has ever heard it before. Not even the princesses or I have even heard it."
With the sudden news that they would be the first ponies in Equestria to hear a story told by one of the princesses the children suddenly became far more energetic.
Dinky looked back up a Nightmare "If it's completely new and not even you and princes... I mean Luna have heard it. Than how do you know how it goes?"
Nightmare gave Luna sly smile before returning her gaze to the ponies in front of them.
"That's a good question my little pony." she said flashing Luna another grin. "We're going to make the story up as we go along and our very own Princess Luna as is going to play the role of Woona."
"She wouldn't, she couldn't." Luna muttered making sure to keep a visual on Nightmare.
"No she couldn't, but I could" came the voice of Celestia from beside her, causing Luna to jump at the sudden appearance of her sister.
Luna's shock was quickly replaced with terror as she realized what both Nightmare and her sister had planned.
"No! Noooooo!" Luna screamed as Celestia's horn began to grow a brilliant golden, as light began to engulf both of them.
"Noooooooooooo!" continued the scream of Luna from within the ball of light.
"Stop whining!" shouted her sister "It's not permanent."
"What's not permanent!?" she shouted "Celestia what are you doing!?"
"You'll see dear sister." and with a final laugh Celestia vanished and so did the light.
It was several minutes before Luna regained consciousness. She immediately checked her surroundings and was surprised to see that everything remained the same. She still remained on the conjured moon. It was only when she shifted her gaze to the rest of the ponies. They had grown the foals where now the same size as her. Nightmare was now almost double her size.
No she thought to herself they didn't grow. Which means only one thing
"I'm back in the land of slightly taller than average ponies!" She shouted.
"That happened one time!" Nightmare said "And we are not giant ponies you’re just a tiny pony now."
Using her magic Nightmare conjured a mirror and dragged Luna over to it. What Luna saw stunned her. She was no longer the longer the intimidating Alicorn she once was but instead it was a much younger version of herself, or to be more exact an older form she had once taken.
"I forgot how adorable we were." Nightmare squealed using her magic to pick Luna up holding her up in various positions in front of the mirror. "
"Well I am pretty adorable."
"Good then, you shouldn't have any problem with playing the role of Woona"
"Yep... Wait what?"
"Too late, you agreed." Nightmares horn began to and Woona was once again engulfed in light.
This time however Woona was alone and the once almost real illusion of the moon had somehow become the real thing. Though something’s seemed different from the one she had created. For one thing sound appeared to travel across the moon even though there was no air.
"Woona can you hear me?" came the familiar of Nightmare from what seemed like nowhere yet everywhere at the same time.
"Where are you Nightmare? Stop calling me Woona." Woona shouted at the nothingness "Why does all the text refer to me as Woona."
"Shhhh the walls have ears. In order to make the story more authentic we've decided to place you inside the story. Don't worry everything is perfectly safe. I've even found members of the castle staff willing to play all the other rolls."
"I will not be a toy for your sick little pranks."
Nightmares voice began to shift to a much sweeter tone. "If not for use than at least do it for the children. If you don't do this these poor, poor innocent foals will be crushed."
"Please Woona" came the voice of Dinky Doo "We really want to hear the Woona story."
Woona sighed in defeat "Fine I'll play along with your story. But I swear if this turn out to be like The Book of Eibon incident I'll do some very un-princess like things to you."
"Good then, let the story begin!" Boomed the voice of Nightmare
Woona once again found herself on the moon. Woona never really understood it herself she just seemed to have a knack for ending up on the moon, be it through misfired spells or through annoying her sister she just seemed to end up on the moon. This time however Woona had no idea how she got her. It was probably because of that whole "I'll never eat my Alfalfa speech." but it was probably the whole "Attempting to over through her sister in the name of Alfalfa Smoon."
"I miss Alfalfa Smoon" Woona said to herself "He....she? It was so much fun. Alfalfa was only the best have during partners."
However this wasn't the time for reminiscing Woona told herself. Her sister most likely wouldn't be back to get her for several hours. Woona wasn't one to just wait out a sentence she decided she was going to make the best of this situation.
She spun around for a few seconds, before suddenly stopping. South she decided the moon had many secrets and today she was going to find them all, or at least twenty percent of them.
But being the most adorable princess in Equestria meant she couldn't just walk or trot across the moon. She would have to keeps adorableness level at its highest; she would have to hop across it.
Sadly what Woona had forgotten was that the only thing keeping her tethered to the moon was her sheer adorableness. However since none of her over-charged adorableness was touching the surface she was launched into space, never to be seen again.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh" She screamed as she continued flying through the nothingness
With a flash of light Woona once again found herself on the moon’s surface.
"How did you die already?" Returned the voice of Nightmare "Really Luna? Really? It's the first chapter of a foal’s story and you died."
"How was I supposed to know the only thing keeping me tethered to the moon was her sheer adorableness? That doesn't even make sense."
With another flash of light Luna found herself back with the group.
"Okay children" Spoke Celestia "It's time to go home we’ll see you all tomorrow."
After several minutes all the foals had managed to gather up their things and had left with their parents. This left only the three Alicorns.
Luna sat on a cushion staring up at her suddenly much larger sister
"So you're going to turn me back now? Right?"
"Why would I do that?" Celestia said with a grin "You so adorable like this; I have a much better idea.”
"You wouldn't Celly"
"Oh yes I would, in fact I think Nightmare would to."
Nightmare nodded "If I remember correctly we were quite ticklish."
"Noooooooooooooooooo" Screamed Luna as she was pounced.
{Author note: I made a mistake and the final line almost became
"Noooooooooooooooooo" Screamed Luna as she was punched which in theory would have made that last line all the more funny but I guess it would be a wee bit mean}
