Sighing heavily, I take a seat next to Bowen on the soft white covered bed and hunch over, still look at the princesses. Who's faces have taken saddened expression.

"Well we have time, feel free to start from the beginning."

"It happened long ago, when your new friend Shining Armor here had asked princess cadence's hoof in marriage. Their love was strong, very strong. Strong enough to bring ponies from many of our provinces. Along with expected and uninvited guests. The Changelings and their ruler queen Chrysalis, feed on the power and energy love can produce. With the love blooming for the two soon to be married and the hundreds flocking to the to the ceremony..."

"They had a massive source of energy to feed off of." I cut in.

"Precisely! Celestia continues. So with their mastery of shape shifting and voice masking. Queen Chrysalis had foal-napped princess cadence and taken her place, along with others on their way...."

"Easy cover and easy picking with no suspicions." I cut in again.

"Yes, all that being said, we had found out too late. The Changelings had taken us all by surprise, I tried to stop Chrysalis by force, but was foolish and underestimated her. With hast I sent the girls to retrieve their elements with hope of repelling the attack. But to no success, the Changelings captured them and brought them back to the ceremonial chamber, with relief unharmed. Chrysalis was sure her victory was complete had here attention had left us to gloat. Giving princess Cadence an opportunity to reunite with her love and with one magical blast, the power of true love blasted the Changelings from Canterlot and save its ponies!"

I had known this already but it was a good way to get Bowen up to speed on the story leading up to what was about the be discussed.

"But you clearly knew it wouldn't be the last you herd from them." I state the obvious.

"Right again Eagle. From those days since we had guards scouting the badlands for any sighs of retaliations. In resented weeks we've been getting reports of increased activity on the surface of their hives. Not wanting to cause a panic we made plans in secrecy. After this time Twilight had made a new discovery. A centuries old book left behind by Luna and I's parents, containing hidden knowledge of an ancient civilization, known as humans."

Ok that part caught me off guard! To my knowledge there was only the world of Equestria girls that contained a human presence in the show. Not mixed with the pony side of things.

"Really!" Me and Bowen say with disbelieve.

"Yes indeed. Humans like yourselves. The book contained a very few things about their Along with the power and knowledge to summon warriors to fight to protected from any evil that would do harm to anypony. With this newfound information, We made a last second decision to try our luck."

"You used the spell." Bowen comments this time.

"Yes" Luna answers back.

"Guess that explains that freakish storm that came our way."

"Yeah, no kidding."

"It took much power and energy but with your arrival's we succeeded."

"Bro is that the why the main street through town is messed up?" Bowen turns to me with a question.

I give a simple node turning my gaze to the floor running my hands though my short hair.

"A lot of good ponies died that day. One of them died saving me. Shining Armor and I were facing down queen Chrysalis together when he got hit with one her magical bolts in the leg. Then managed to daze me with a knock to the head. I had been holding her to the ground with a bad choke hold while he tried to keep her into pined down. But she managed to buck him off of herself and zap his leg and smash the back of her head into my head. My right hand came lose with my grip and she broke free, she got up and pined me down. Time seemed to slow as I watched her rear up on her hind legs, about to bring her fore-legs down and bash my skull. Then out of nowhere, that one guard pony who was probably the only one at the time who saw what was going on, tackled her off of me and then she...all there was left was ashes!"

Shaking my head side to side I stand up, all the emotions I hadn't had time to cope were coming up. Being under for a day right after the battle I didn't have time to mourn about the fallen or contemplate my acts. Suddenly having thought about them was to much to take all at once.

"I'm sorry I need to go out side."  I say walking quickly to the door.

"Hey Eagle wait up!" A raspy voice calls after me.

"Hey man I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked!"

"Eagle please come back!"

I exit the medical center in the barracks, stepping outside I slide my shades up and press my back up against a wall nearby. Covering my face with pressure applied by my left hand, a run them though my hair. Soon after Rainbow Dash, Bowen and princess Celestia follow, the rest of the group soon follows after, minus Trixie.

"Eagle its ok to vent."

"No Rainbow its not that! I keep getting flash backs!"

"Hey man its my fault..."

"No its no you, its the images, they keep playing through my head!

"Eagle its not your fault he died, he died willingly!"

"It should have been me not him!"

"You made sure he didn't die in vane, that's all you could have done Eagle!"

I remove my left hand slowly from covering my eyes, my breathing heavy and labored with shudders.

"Not..in..vane?"

"Not in vane Eagle. His sacrifice saved the city and all of Equestria. Were all safe thanks to you all!"

My breathing slows and I lean off the wall. With my body free from any obstacle that would block it. Rainbow slowly pulls my into a warm friendly hug. Unsure how to respond I stand there frozen.

"Let us in Eagle, were your friends. You can talk about anything with us."

Slowly but surly, my arms start to raise inch by inch. Until they find their way around her torso. I wasn't sure if I was irritating her wings, she hadn't been flying and was standing on her hind legs. Pushing the thoughts aside, I clear my mind with the tenderness of the moment. Feeling the vibe of love and care that radiates off of Rainbow with everypony else around me. Slowly calming down, I give two pats on her back to signal to break the hug up, but instead she only pushes off a little to look me in the eyes.

"Felling better tough guy?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm good, thanks Dash."

"No problem, now are you ready to go back inside?"

"Yeah."

Rainbow Dash drops from leaning on me back to all fours. Taking one last deep breath, I give everpony and Bowen the thumbs up.

"All good ladies and gents."

I start back towards the door and RD, Bowen and Tia following behind, the rest of the girls Spike and Shining stand off to the side allowing me back in first. As I reenter the med barracks, I receive concerned looks from the beat up guard ponies. I continue on with out saying anything, only glancing at those I pass by. I see movement out of the corner of my eye when I glance left. I don't bother to turn to look assuming somepony was shifting in bed to get comfortable. Nearing the empty bed next to the still unconscious Trixie. I notice that I can only hear a new set of hoof tots behind me.

"You alright there bother?"

Coming to a halt, I look over my right shoulder to see who's voice was addressing me. To my surprise, it was one of the wounded ponies. I could see the girls and guys a few feet behind him. He had white body and blond mane. His cutie mark had a gold colored shield and with two crossed swords in front of it.

"Yeah I'm doing better, you?"

"Good, hey listen, don't let the images get to ya to much, we had the same problem at first. But we talked it over with each other, you need to get it off your chest and vent as much as you feel you need to or it will just haunt you. Just be happy with the outcome and rejoice with the fact that our citizens and land are safe, be happy you can live to fight another day and insure that they can remain safe."

I took a few moments to soak up what he was saying and smiled a little. This guy really did nail it for me.

"You got it bother." I reply nodding

"One last thing. Go out and see our works pay off. How life continues on as if it hadn't even happened. Do that for favor for us would you Eagle?"

"How'd you know my name?"

He didn't even blink as he pointed a hoof towards the gang as he gave a small smile.

"Heard it loud and clear! You can be sure its gonna spread fast thought the guard ranks real fast!"

"Well if that be that case and word of this event spreads like wild fire across Equestria, be sure to keep me a ghost would ya?"

"Yeah just a shadow of the deeds of the few and the brave royal guard."

"Why would you want to be unknown after all that?"

"Well for starters I don't want any attention from the media about this or hounded by news writers. I'd like to have privacy to remain apart of my life. Second I don't want to be known by everypony and have them ask me about what happened non stop. Third, and this is the important one. I say leaning in a little close so I don't have to say it out loud. He leans closer as well. Should Equestria have a new treat ever come to pass, I don't what who ever they may be to have a target. I would like to keep a bounty off my head and be able to fight at yours guy's side to confront them should you ever need me." I finish with a smirk.

He nods a few times in understanding.

"Right, I got'cha, the less ponies know about your existence and motives for live the better and peaceful you can be and feel in civilian life."

"Bingo!"

"Well, I'll pass that along to the guys then, I won't keep ya for whatever you got planned for the day. Oh, and don't forget about checking out the city!"

My stomach growls with hunger as if on queue. Lightly chuckling I pat my gut.

"Well I have an idea on where to go first! Can't believe I'm already hungry again! By the way I didn't get your name?"

"Its Sword Halter."

I reach my arm out and make a fist for a bro hoof, to which he responds with a bump of his hoof. It was strange, When RD bumped my fist with her hoof it felt soft yet sold with a little mushy feeling to it. Sword Halter's felt harder, but his hoof was more out there, with it being colored different than the rest his body's color.

"Hang on a sec bro I got to get the dead weight first." Bowen says passing us by to get Trixie.

"Um Eagle, what's going on with her anyway." Sword Halter asks me.

"Oh she's a knocked up prostitute and my buddy Bowen can't bring himself to let her go without getting what he asked for."

I could here Bowen snickering behind me, so I quickly turn half-way around and gesture for him to keep it down.

"So well be going now, Bowen hurry up!" I say rushing by him trying to hold my own laughter in."

"Shut up I'm coming!"

"Bow chicka bow wow!"

"Shutthefuckup!"

"Girls and boys hurry up" I comment to our group Now leaving the med barracks.

"Eagle me and my sister must return to our duties, we will await your return!"

"Alright catch you later ladies!"

Walking as fast as my legs can carry me, I head out the gate that leads to the road that leads back to the rest of the city, but I start laughing so I stop for the group.

"Dude, what the fuck why!" Bowen was near dropping Trixie over his fit of laughter.

"Because felt like!"

"Guys what's a prostitute?" Spike asks curious.

That only made us snicker. Spike still very young had no idea. But no pony else looked disgusted but rather confused to, so I'm sure they didn't know ether. Recomposing my self I simply say.

"Can't tell you bro, its nothing you should know anyway."

"Ok then?"

Then our old friend Trixie comes to in of all places, in Bowens arms.

"W-what hap..?"

Their was a long pause of silence. Trixie looks up at him and then to his arms and then back up.

"Um Bowen, why are carrying me?" Those pink circles appear.

"Well um, you kind of passed out so, yeah."

"Oh, well then, can you put me down."

Without replying Bowen lowers her and Trixie rolls out of his grasp landing on her hooves. Turning towards us pauses to see five of the girls aggravated faces excepted for Twilights. Spike didn't look to pleased either.

"So... anyone what to explain the history or do me and eagle have to stay in the dark in this?"

"Oh there's plenty to be said partner!"

"Yeah Trixie we haven't forgotten about what you did to everypony back in ponyville!"

"Girls..."

"Yeah you big bully what's the big idea!"

"Girls..."

"Well darling I hope your satisfied!"

"My poor animals we're scared to death you know!"

"Girls!"

Twilight had been trying to get her friends attention but had to shout over them to silence them.

"If I may, I'd like to have my input spoken now."

The girls fell silent still with aggravated expressions, Trixie hung her head low with shame waiting to hear what the newly crowned princess Twilight Sparkle had to say. In Twilights position of power she could punish her in any way she wanted. Why did I feel this wasn't gonna be the case after seeing Equestria girls.

"Trixie, you came to our town and boasted about your magical abilities, to try and prove yourself superior over other ponies, you also harmed my friends to do so. Your boasting also encouraged snips and snails to find an ursa major but by some chance they actually found an ursa minor. Which I had to deal with. You ran off only to return sometime later to steal the alicorn amulet, force me from my home and friends and incase ponyville in a magic dome of some sort. I then must return later to defeat you and remove the power hunger inducing amulet. Then after all you've done you come to me when nopony else is around and simply say, 'I'm sorry I was just so jealous' and run away.

Trixie wasn't handling this situation well. Head still hung low and facing away. Shining had a look of disbelief, I guess he never was informed of this until now. Aside from his shock, Bowen's look of surprise and the girls and spikes death stares .

"But I forgive you."

"WHAT!" The rest of the group shouts in surprise.

I knew it. I can honestly say I wasn't surprised. I knew how twilight was after seeing her forgive Sunset Shimmer, if she was forgiving enough to forgive her after trying to take over Equestria with a small army of brainwashed teens then she was more than forgiving enough to give Trixie a second chance. So I stand, arms crossed smiling on the inside.

"Even though your actions were extreme to say the least, you had the courage to admit what had been bothering you and confronted me about it and apologized. Being with my friends has taught me to love and tolerate no matter what. So I extend an offer to you, you can stay with us and redeem yourself, or you can go off into the world to do whatever it was you were doing. The choice is yours."

We all stand for what seems like an eternity, waiting for Trixie to reply. An uneasy feeling now coming over me, not really sure what to expect out of Trixie.

"*Sniff*..Yes!"

Finally some relief I thought to myself! Physically smiling on the outside, I nod my head in approval at her choice.

"Then I and I'm sure my friends, welcome you back with open hooves!"

"Oh thank you twilight, thank you! I swear I'll make up for every thing I've done!"

Trixie and Twilight move closer and embrace in a hug, full happiness, rainbows and gumdrop smiles! Or some such bullshit, I don't know. Anyway everything was cool now. After a few moments of lovey-dovey hugs they let go of each other. Twilight looks to her posy behind her for their position on this agreement. They all exchange glances before perking up smiles of their own.

"Well Twi, I don't know what degree of bad somepony has to reach before they're unforgivable for ya, but if you think she can be trusted and turned around for the better, I guess we best be stick'n with your judgment then, girls?"

"Well it wasn't cool when she electrocuted me, but I can't hold a grudge forever so we're cool now!"

"Even if she was mean I can still find a way to make her very nice and smile smile smile so me to!"

"You always have my support dearie, of course I'll forgive her!"

"Well my animals were frightened for awhile, but its ok, fear go's away with time."

"Twily, your love and tolerance is beyond my comprehension, but its one of the reasons why I love you so much. I'll let it slip."

"As your number one assistant, I am always by your side Twilight! So what the hey, I'll give her another shot!"

"Then its settled, Trixie you are here by excused of all past actions and welcomed with open hooves!"

"Oh my gosh thank you girls thank you!"

Trixie rushed the group with joyful tears streaming down her cheeks, her sudden action was met with what you'd expect. All the girls gather around Trixie in a big group hug, leaving us four guys out in the cold.

"Wow! Bowen finally speaks up. And when were you going to fill me in on this!"

The girls all look to Bowen who's arms were now crossed with a wide-eyed expression. They all let go of Trixie as she starts to shuffle around a bit, likely trying to think of an answer that can at least sound somewhat reasonable as to why she wouldn't tell him that she's practically an outlaw for what she's done.

"Well...eventually." She reply's, head tilted down towards the left looking away.

"Ah don't feel to bad about it, I thought about leaving you to your fate with the arachnidcats when they attacked the wagon."

"Oh gee thanks, I that makes me feel so special!"

"Hey you would thought about it to bitch!"

"What in Equestria does bitch mean anyway!?"

"Whoa hey cool down there you to!" I step in thinking this could lead to a heated argument.

"Relax dude, its just how our relationship works, we been going back and forth like this sense we met a day ago."

"Oh ok have at it then. *Stomach Grumbling* As soon as we find a place to eat, speaking of which any of you girls know a place in town?"

"Follow us big guy!" Rainbow Dash flies quickly up to my side, grabbing my right arm with both hooves.

"Ok slow down, slow down!" I beg as she nearly drags me to the ground.

We arrived at the place they had talked somewhat about along the way. It looked like a café of some sort. I just hope they served more than vegetables, I got lucky that the palace had a griffin in case of a other fellow meat eaters arriving on political business, I'll be lucky if there's a wheat product anywhere that isn't junk food. There was a open table with an umbrella to block the suns rays while costumers ate. We all take a seat and wait for a waiter or waitress to ask if we we're ready to order. Of course me and Bowen were now at each others side like always when we sit together, Rainbow and Trixie at our opposite sides. I can already tell that he and her must have some pretty good connections judging by his story on how the came to meet. Bowen apparently had been dropped somewhere out in the woods, he started to walk in one chosen direction. Getting beat up by nature along his journey, he encountered an hedge with thorns all along is walls, I asked how the hell he found a hedge in the middle of the woods. To which he replied "I asked myself the same damn thing when I saw it!" He said that he had forced himself through it despite how painful it felt, then plummeted down a hillside as soon as he made it through, hitting his head on a stone along the way down knocking himself out. Then after an unknown amount of time, Trixie had apparently stumbled across his seemingly lifeless body. What cracked us all up is that she had apparently poked him with a stick to wake him up! I swear she is the crocodile hunter of Equestria! Back to present, I pick up a menu lying in front of my seat and begin to surf through the pages hoping to find food edible to me and Bowen. To our luck there was plenty of food as such. Only down side of not having any meat products at all.

"At least they have typical breakfast foods." I say nudging Bowen's shoulder.

"Yeah, mite have to go cold turkey on meat for awhile."

"Hey at least you guys don't have to eat meat to survive." Dash says probably trying to make us feel better about losing a favored part of our diets.

"Yeah well meat was tasty to us, but until we figure out a way to get some other than being at the palace, we're gonna have to role." Bowen reply's.

"So I'm just gonna have toast with pancakes."

"Yeah same for me."

The girls declare what they intend on eating before a unicorn stallion in a waiters outfit trots over our way.

"Hello may I take..."

The Stallion paused when he noticed me and Bowen sitting amongst the girls. Not out of place in anyway so I totally didn't know why.

"Oh my..its you!" The stallion said pointing a hoof at me.

"I'm sorry?" I question the awe struck Stallion.

"Your the one from the papers!"

"Papers!?"

"Yes, look here!"

The unicorn stallion levitated a newspaper from a nearby stand and set in front of me at our table. I look at the series of pictures printed on the paper, to see myself locked in battle with the Changeling queen. Multiple snapshots of me hitting her in various ways, almost like whom ever had taken them left out the parts when I got hit, seems like somepony was trying to glorify me. The aftermath of the Battle of Canterlot as the heading would say, apparently this unknown pony snapped a photo from behind me after I holstered my ulacks, the guard ponies staring at me and Chrysalis. She was dead at my feet, on her left side not facing the way the photo was taken, leaving what I had done to her naturally censored. They even had a picture of me when I had her severed horn in my grasp. "I see." I didn't have to look up from the newspaper to know everypony and Bowen were looking at me.

"Damn dude, what did you do to her?"

"I made sure she got what was coming to her."

"Shit, I hope you did, no tolerance for tyrants!"

"Damn striate son HOOAH!"

I bro fist Bowen and return my attention back to our waiter.

"Anyway did you have something to say about those photos?" I was expecting him to call me murder even after what the Changelings did at the royal wedding, and a day ago. Canterlot being the home to the snobs of equestrian society.

"Yes, I don't know who or what you are, but thank you and the guard for protecting our homes and families!"

I had growing feeling of happiness inside of me at his words, to know your work and sacrifice of lives was at least appreciated by those you protected.

"Hey thanks for the Kind words man, me and my buddy Captain Shining Armor here really appreciate hearing you say that."

"Oh no please, let me just say that we the citizens owe you and the guard a dept. of gratitude Sirs!"

"Again thank you, but me and my friends here are a little hungry so can we have take our orders?"

"Yes of course, what would you like to order!"

We all place our orders and start chit chatting to pass the time.

"So anyone got an explanation for how unicorn magic works?"

Twilight's face lit up at the chance for a intelligent explanation. But before she could say anything I cut her off to put out what I had to say about the topic first.

"Hey before anypony says anything about it I just want to say that I am immune. Ok you can say what you were going to say now Twilight."

Before she could speak she was cut off again, this time it was Bowen who had.

"Bullshit!"

"No I'm serous!"

"Naw I'm calling bullshit!"

"Why!?"

"Because after my leg got cut by one of those manticores and I ran like hell, Trixie was able to at least heal the big ass gash in it to an extent!"

"Ok now I'm calling bull shit because when I was fighting in the Battle of Canterlot, queen Chrysalis shot me with some magic death bolt and it didn't do jack!"

"Ok so lets just say we're both telling the truth on our parts. How come I was able to be healed with what power Trixie had at the time, but when you get hit by death bolts nothing happens!?"

"Ok now that's a good ass question! Hey one of you girls and or Shining Armor know and ranged attack spells?"

"Well me and Twily do but..."

"Ok hit me!"

"What!?"

I get up from my seat and walk to the middle of the lowly populated area in the street. I extend my arms out to my sides and ask one of my unicorn friends to hit my with a bolt. Twilight hesitantly gets up from her seat and nervously trots at a slow pace until she is facing me. I can see a little sweat forming around her fore-head, I knew she would be nervous when she was the one who got up to try something like this. I mean who would want to shoot at their friend with a gun and or magic. "Twilight is fine, I promise it won't hurt me." She takes a deep breath and wipes head clean of the sweat that had been forming, her horn lights up with a purple glow and within a few moments discharges.

Also within that time frame my brain had an evil idea! When the bolt hit me dead center in the chest I fall onto my left side and put my arms where it made contact."Ahhhh it burns!" I howl pretending to be in pain, and I got the reaction I was looking for. The girls gasped in horror and the guys aside from Bowen screamed "OH NO!" as for Bowen his was more along the lines of "OH SHIT!" Bowen and Shining were the first and only ones to get up and rush over to me. At this point in time I was laughing my ass off at everponies response! As soon as they both realize this they stop dead in their tracks with the surprised facial expressions that said, "You dirty little fucker!" The other girls took notice a well and sighed in relief. Dash and AJ were smiling a little at a joke well done, Rarity was waving a hoof to cool herself down. Spike at her side hammer fisting the table in his own laughter "Oh wow, you really had us!" , Pinkie was laughing to but not like Spike. Her laughs were more rapid to the point where she was snorting, followed be her asking "What are we laughing at, I don't get it?"

But when I looked at Fluttershy and Twilight I felt like the biggest dick. Fluttershy was shaking wildly with her hooves over here eyes, whimpering. Twilight was relatively the same, sitting on the ground in front of me, Bowen and Shining Armor, she was shaking wildly with her face buried in her fore-hooves crying uncontrollably. "I'm s-so s-sorry!" She managed to sniff out. It was still funny as shit to me but I may have gone to far with my act. I get back to my feet with the support of Bowen pulling me up with a extended hand. "Dude you made her cry you bully!" He says in a jokingly criticizing way. "Oh Jesus!" I quickly walk over to her dropping to one knee and grabbing her into a hug, feeling guilty as ever. "Hey its ok Twilight I was only faking it!" She doesn't look up nor stop sobbing. I slowly and gently start rocking side to side while rubbing her back, taking care to not touch her wings. Trying not to snicker as I do so. I continue to rock her back and forth, side to side, she starts to calm down. I repeat myself when I whisper softly "I'm sorry, it was a bad joke." After a minute of doing so, she moves her hooves from her eyes and sniffs, giving me big puppy dog eyes. "You ok now?" I ask real sweet like. "Yes, I'm fine." She reply's with a small smile. Oh she has such a big heart! I rise back to my feet, holding her left hoof hind my right hand to assist back onto her other hooves. I direct her back to her seat and then return to mine, now that everypony was calm.

"Ok we all know now that I can't be harmed by magic for a fact now, so Bowen I don't know how you apparently can be affected my its power, so lets speculate on how this works."

"Alright so you've clearly shown that you're immune to magic when its intended to be harmful, when magic was used on me it had the intent of healing. Maybe there has to be some sort of consent to it?"

"Consent?" I question.

"Yeah, like mentally."

"You mean like how you wouldn't want a magic death bolt to harm you but you would want magic to heal you!"

"Yeah like that!"

"But wait, I wanted Twilight to hit me with a bolt of her own, but then again that actually furthers your point because even though I wanted her to but at the same time I still didn't want it to hurt! So we may have control over magic as far as that go's!"

"Dude this is awesome!"

"But that doesn't explain how I punched a hole though a brick wall!"

That comment by me left us silent as the waiter returns with a large tray in his magical grasp holding our orders of food. "Your orders sirs and madams!" The waiter levitates the dishes that rest on the surface of the large tray and sets them neatly in front of us, along with the silverware. He then bows his head and trots away. "Lets dig in, I've been living off of poptarts and need something yummy in my tummy, like my eggroll here!" Bowen declares to us. We do just that, but their was the question in my head still. If I can punch a hole through a brick wall, what else can I do? My thoughts were interrupted by Dash speaking up to Twilight. "Hey Twilight I've been thinking, you haven't really been using your wings sense you got them, how about after we're done here we go find someplace and work on your flying?" Twilight finishes what she's chewing on and swallows. "Sure Rainbow Dash, that sounds fun!"

"Hey that's my eggroll, you touch it you die!"

"Oh hush you barbarian!" I hear Trixie retort.
