I trotted around my cottage home. There was nothing to do, but that was okay. I was used to being alone during the evening. All of the animals were asleep in their beds, in a happy little dreamland. Angel was lying in his bed, watching TV. Suddenly, I heard a knock at the door. Who it could be, I wondered. I walked to the door cautiously.

“Hello?” I said through a small crack in the door.  I heard wings beating and a few baby noises. The quick-flapping wings were getting softer and there was now silence. Opening the door curiously, nopony would guess what I saw.  A small gray filly with violet eyes and a pastel rainbow mane looked up at me.

“Oh dear, you poor little darling!” Quickly, I swept up the basket she was in and brought her inside. Who would abandon their little filly? Their own daughter, their flesh and blood! Calm down Fluttershy, all is well, she is not hurt or anything, right? I gently took her out of the small basket, she seemed to be less than a day old, and my judgment said she was no more.  Upon closer inspection, the filly was a little Pegasus, with wings that had rainbow feathers. Her ears were down and her eyes were now closed. I always kept diapers and baby supplies handy in case one of the cute little animals would surprise me with a new cute little animal. Quickly, I grabbed one of the diapers and put it on her, they fit a small bit loosely, but she seemed comfortable. I set her between my wings and took her upstairs to the small bed I had kept in case an animal needed overnight TLC. I tucked the young pony in, then decided I would need some sleep myself.
