Unforgivable
‘Are ye sure that you can walk back ta town on yer own, Twilight?’ The orange farm pony asked while tipping her hat back to the unicorn walking out through the door of the farmhouse.
‘I’m sure, Applejack. Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine.’ She answered, smiling to her friend.
‘Big Macintosh ain’t occupied this evening, he can walk you there.’ Applejack was concerned that something could happen to her on her own.
‘I’ll be fine, thanks for the dinner and everything.’ She wouldn’t complain about having a stallion such as Macintosh to walk her home, but she didn’t want to bother him after a long day of work.
She said farewell and was on her way. It didn’t take long until she regretted not letting Big Mac or Applejack walk her back to town. It was dark outside, Luna’s stars and moon giving a weak light but it wasn’t enough to comfort her. She was starting to get stressed so she started a slow trot, until she was on the brink of heading into a full gallop. She swore she could feel eyes watching her and wanting to harm her. Her fears were comfirmed as a large pegaus stallion got in her way. He was a little shorter than Macintosh, but he was still big. Twilight wimpered as she stopped. Her brain was shouting at her to run as fast as she could, but she wouldn’t budge. She was frozen in fear. It didn’t take long until another stallion, but this one was an earthpony stood behind her. Both of the males had a wicked grin plastered on their faces. She couldn’t see their eyes but she knew that this wasn’t good. She tried to teleport away with her magic, but her horn wouldn’t do as she wanted. She started to panic as the earth pony started talking in a low tone.
‘What’s the rush, lil’ lady?’ He said as he moved closer towards her. She turned to face him, he was a little shorter than the other but still taller than her. She jumped around and faced the pegasus as he spoke up.
’‘We’re gonna have some fun, you, me and my friend here...’ He said with a chuckle in the end of the sentence. Both of them was obviously a little drunk, Twilight was now in full panic, she tried to move and use her magic, but nothing would happen. The pegasus slowly walked up to her while grinning, his head held up high. He smacked Twilight so she would fall to the ground, she fell to the ground hard, her eyes was starting to tear. She could feel the other stallion walk towards her. She tried to kick back her hooves at him, but he just laughed and held them down. He started rubbing his hooves on her flank, she was crying. She realised that they were going to rape her. She clenched her eyes shut and wished that this was just a nightmare but sadly, this was the cruel, harsh reality. He stopped rubbing her flanks and removed her hooves from it, she breathed a sigh of relief in vain. As soon as he removed his hooves, he raised it and smacked her flank, it burned. She gasped and tried to scream, but no sound was made. Her eyes were wide open and tears were streaming down her face. The pegasus stallion had been watching the progress that his companion had made before he decided to join in. He forced her mouth open and shoved his member down her throat. He felt her trying to draw back in disgust, but he was so much stronger than her and pulled her back in, starting to make the movements for her. He moaned as he managed to force a steady rythm of movements. Twilight really regretted that she didn’t allow Big Mac to walk her home at this moment. The other stallion was violently caressing her marehood, it hurt for her, she wimpered and squealed. She was helpless. Whatever she would do, they would bring her back to them and make it even worse.
She clenched her eyes shut once again, before she would shoot open her eyes as the earth pony shoved his member inside her. Tears were flowing freely, it was like there was no end of the clear fluid. They kept on going for ten minutes, before they would shift. She would do anything to just get away from there, as fast as possible. Another ten minutes filled with torture and humiliation passed before both of the stallions were finished. As they left her to run off, the earth pony stomped down on her ribs, causing two of them to break from the sudden impact. This time when she screamed, it worked but not for long. It was a short yelp of pain. The pegasus stallion spat her in her face before he shot up straight to the sky. The earth pony had run off just before the pegasus, she was lying there, battered, bruised, bleeding from her marehood and barely conscious. She tried to stand up, but her hind legs just couldn’t keep her up. It took a few attempts before she could stand up and walk a few feet before she had to stop and rest.
She finally got to the library, her entire body was aching and screamed at her to go straight to bed, but she felt so dirty, she felt like she needed to be thoroughly cleaned. She went into the shower, where she broke down and started crying silently, while having the extremely warm water run down over her. She didn’t want to wake up Spike, and have him to find out of the events of the night. She had been lying in the shower, crying her eyes out for almost two hours before she heard a gentle knock on the door.
‘Twilight, are you in there?’ She could hear her assistant call for her, she feared that he could hear that she had been crying nonstop for almost the entire night through her voice, she gulped and tried to calm down before answering.
‘Yeah.’ She said, trying her best to conceal the proof of her crying, but the event of the evening ringed through her head, and her ribs was aching really bad.
’Are you okay?’ She wasn’t okay, she wasn’t sure if she’d ever be okay after this, his question stabbed her right in her heart, she knew that he wanted what was best for her but she thought that this was a thing that he shouldn’t know about, atleast for now. She figured that she’d might as well lie to him just this time so he wouldn’t worry too much about her.
‘Yes.’ It felt like she had been stomped on her ribs again after she lied to him, the side of her body where she had been stomped by the stallion had started to swell up, and she knew that if she would walk out where the dragon was standing he would notice it immediately. Se wimpered quietly as she ran her hoof over the swelled part on her body.
’Is something wrong?’ Spike asked her. Everything felt wrong at this moment. She had been enjoying a pleasant dinner at the Sweet Apple Acres before she made the stupid decision to walk home on her own, and when she thought of what happened later she couldn’t help but to blame herself for it. It stabbed her heart again when she realised that she would have to lie to the young dragon again to keep him from finding out. The hot water was still running down on her.
‘I’m fine.’ That was the lie of the century.
‘Okay then, I’ll go back to sleep. Remember not to keep the hot water running for too long.’ He reminded her. If she would have the warm water running for too long she would do as Spike did a couple of years ago and use it all up.
Sleep, she started to feel tired. She fused her magic to turn of the faucet, this time her magic worked. She stood up on shaking, almost numb legs. She wimpered of the pain from her ribs as she took a few steps to the door. As she passed the bathroom mirror after wiping her coat and mane she could see that she was on her way of getting a blackeye on her right eye. She decided that she would heal it with her magic the next morning. As she tip-toed to her bed to avoid waking the yet again sleeping dragon, it felt like her side was burning up from the pain. When she laid down in her bed, she was relieved to have gotten this far. She tried to sleep, but the events of the evening haunted her sleep.
-----
The next morning she woke up before Spike, and even before the sun had started rising. She couldn’t sleep much as the nightmares would make her wake up, drenched in sweat and the voices of the stallions ringing in her head. She blamed herself for being so stubborn and not letting Macintosh walk her back, but it had happened and there was nothing she could do to change it. A strong, throbbing pain from her side reminded her of the stallion who caused it. she shuddered and tried to think of something else, but the image just returned to her head the more she tried to ward it off. She found herself dropping down on her haunches, it was still painful to sit down, she shuddered and clenched her eyes shut as silent tears ran down her face and dripped to the floor.
She tried to wipe the tears who had dropped to the floor of the library. After she had successfully wiped them off the floor she went into the bathroom to try and conceal the now very visible injury on her eye. She managed to conceal it enough so that ponies or young dragons hopefully wouldn’t ask any questions. She found herself crying again for no apparent reason. She wanted to forget that it ever happened, she wanted it all to go away but the concstant pain from her eye and side reminded her clearly of what happened. She was raped, and rape is illegal so she decided that she really should go to see the policeponies about it, but she was afraid that they would judge her and look down at her for it. She decided to keep it for herself as long as possible.
One hour passed until the sun was on its place high on the sky, and the sound of small draconic feet was making their way down the stairs. Her side was also bruised and swelled up, but she had used a similair spell like the one to her eye to her side to hide the bruises and make the swelling smaller. She hoped that Spike wouldn’t notice anything on her appearance, but her moodswings would be very easily noticed. She took a deep breath before she greeted him.
’Hi Twi!’ He happily said as he saw the unicorn who was his sister in some perspectives, as they had grown up together in Canterlot.
‘Hey Spike.’ She tried her very best to conceal the throbbing pain in her side, the bruises and swelling was concealed, but the pain itself was nowhere near gone.
‘You want some breakfast?’ He said as he walked to the kitchen in the enormous tree.
‘I’d love some.’
‘Okay, it’ll be right out.’ He immediately went to work. He was so hard-workning and dependable. Sure, he could sometimes have a short fuse and easily snap at someone. But he had been besides her the longest. He would never give up on her, or never let her down. But she had lied to him and it stung, but she swore to herself that she would someday tell him what happened. Later they sat down and had breakfast, and talked a little.
-----
A week had passed after the fateful evening that turned her life around. During the entire week she had slowly changed, every day that passed she would be even more careful, and go less and less out of the library, until she barely left her room. Spike was worried of what had happened to her. He knew that something that she hadn’t told him about had happened, so he had told some of her friends to come over. Twilight was in a fragile state of mind where mostly anything could make her really mad, or just sad and cry alot. He had enough of not being able to help her, so he called in Applejack, because Twilight had started to change more and more after the dinner at the Sweet Apple Acres. He also called in Fluttershy, because the timid and careful pegasus maybe could get Twilight to say to her what was wrong. The last one he called in was Rarity, because she could be reasonable, caring and find the best of the situation. Whatever it was that was wrong with Twilight, they were going to find out.
’So, yer sayin’ that Twilight has been acting strange ever since the evening at th’ Acres?’ Applejack asked, and Spike only answered it with a nod.
’Oh my... I hope that she’s okay...’ The butter yellow pegasus whispered, concerned for her friends well-being.
’I hope she’s okay too Fluttershy, but we have to find out what’s wrong in order to help her.’ The dragon said to the timid pony.
‘May I ask what it is that we’re waiting for, then?’ Rarity asked, she wanted to get talking to Twilight as soon as possible.
‘Alright let’s go then, but I have to remind you that she’s really unstable right now, and if she says something that can be mean, she doesn’t really mean it as she’s just too upset to think of what she’s saying. Got it?’ Spike stood up from his chair and looked at the ponies who all gave a quick nod before they stood up. As they carefully walked up the stairs they could hear silent sobs coming from her room, they almost had to hold back Fluttershy from shooting through the door for her to try and comfort her. When they came to the door, they could hear that Twilight had stopped sobbing, and was now quiet. Spike knocked carefully on the door before he opened it slowly. The room was dark, there was no light source as the windows was covered. He took a few steps into the room and motioned for the ponies to wait.
‘Twilight?’ He could see the her shape lying in her bed with her back towards them, she shuddered and shifted her shoulders. The bruise on her side had become worse because she hadn’t had it examined by a doctor, or had it checked up. It was more painful than ever. Spike motioned slowly to the switch and turned on the lights in the room. There, on the middle of the bed was a remnant of what once was Twilight Sparkle. Now, she was pale, and her mane was dirty and in a mess, she had been in her room and hadn’t come out from it for three days, she had barely eaten anything and it had taken its toll on her body. Everypony present gasped when they saw the state she was in. Spike had to fight back tears with all he could muster. They once again had to stop Fluttershy from flying right to Twilight, they had to take it slow.
‘Spike?’ Her voice had the same tone, but a little lower and scratchy. She probably hadn’t had anything to drink in two days, as she refused to eat or drink what Spike brought to her.
‘Twilight, we’re worried about you... You’re not the same.’ Spike said as he fought and lost to hold back tears, he felt a gentle hoof on his shoulder from Rarity.
‘I’m... I’m fine.’ She tried to lie, but her voice cracked and she started cry again.
‘Twilight, yer not fine right now, we can see it loud an’ clear. Do you want to tell us what’s up?’ Applejack added as she walked closer to the broken mare lying on the bed.
’I.... I...’ She didn’t know what to say, she started sobbing again only to feel yellow forelegs clench onto her, she looked back to see Fluttershy holding her close to herself.
‘What... Whatever tha- that’s wrong... W- we will help you through i- it’ Fluttershy stuttered as she held up Twilight close to her.
‘You can tell us anything, we will never tell another soul about it.’ Rarity assured her.
‘Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.’ Spike said as he mimicked the movements essential to a Pinkie swear. They all swore tthat they could hear a ’‘forever’’ in the distant somewhere.
Twilight sighed and asked if Fluttershy could move a little, she jumped off the bed and allowed her to roll around and face them, the first thing they noticed was her bloodshot eyes and bags under her eyes. It didn’t take long until Rarity could see traces of a healing blackeye. She gasped and told the others, they looked at her eye and saw it too. Spike was really mad, he wanted to get his claws on the pony who did it. Twilight closed her eyes tight and slowly used the last of her magic to pull of the blanket, and show a massive bruise and a swelled up section that looks like it really need some medical attention right away. If Spike was mad before, now he looked like he was ready to explode because of the rage building up inside of him. The ponies present was speechless, Fluttershy was the first one to act to try and tend to the injury as much as she could, Applejack dropped to her haunches and started blaming herself for not following her anyways. All Rarity did was to stare at the bruise with her mouth agape.
Twilight took a deep, strained breath who was almost choked down from all of her crying. ’I... I...’ Spike ran to the side of her bed, Twilight clenched herself to him. She needed him now more than ever. ’I... was...’ She pulled herself closer to the dragon, and he wasn’t late to respond and hugged her back with almost all of his strength, while being careful not to hurt her further. ’Ra-... Raped.’ She started crying even more and pushed her head down to Spike’s shoulder. Spike’s eyes shot open. He started puffing smoke out of his nostrils, he clenched her tighter to himself. He was trembling with anger. Now he was more than ready to explode and tear the heart out from anypony who did this to his sister.
Everypony in the room felt a tear run down their cheeks as they thought of what happened to their friend. Rarity took it in before she walked to Spike and Twilight and joined in on the embrace, Fluttershy followed Rarity’s lead and embraced them too. Applejack was still sitting on her haunches, she couldn’t believe what happened, she should have went with her. She should have told her to stay the night at the farm, she should have told Mac to follow her home anyways, that what she should have done, but she didn’t, She almost felt like it was her fault. She slowly made her way to the mix of crying ponies and a dragon and said ’‘Ah’m sorry, Ah’m so sorry’’ multiple times as she pulled them close with her strong forelegs. They just stood there for a couple of minutes before they collected themselves, Spike was still extremely mad but he did his best to keep himself under control. Twilight felt relieved that she finally had told somepony about it. Rarity composed herself and leaned away from the embrace.
‘Twilight, I think that you should go to the police about this...’ She said in a comforting tone, gaining a look from the lavender mare.
‘What if.. What if they will think that I’m dirty.... What if they think that I wanted it...’ Tears were starting to make their way up to her eyes again. Rarity hugged her tight and tried her best to keep her from starting to cry again.
‘They can’t do that, rape is a serious offence and they will do everything they can do in order to get the ones who did this to you.’
’Re- Really?’ Twilight looked straight into Rarity’s blue eyes.
’Of course, now let’s get you a bath, shall we?’ Twilight looked down on her coat, it was dirty, and her mane was even worse.
‘That’s a good idea.’ She said as she wrestled away from the embrace of the dragon and the two other ponies in her room. He stood up on shaky legs, Rarity was quickly next to her and allowed her to lean towards her as they walked towards the bathroom.
-----
A few days passed after they had talked in the library, and the same ponies who were in her room had followed her to the policeponies headquarters and had supported her when she needed them to build up her courage to look for the help she needed. The policeponies immediately brought her to a different room and asked questions. The questions were hard for Twilight to answer, but Spike never left her side and gave her the strength she needed in order to tell them. After she had answered all the questions the policepony she had been talking to asked Twilight if she needed somepony else to talk to, a therapist. She declined the offer and thanked for their time. The policeponies went to work to find the ones who was guilty as soon as she left. As they were walking back to the library, Twilight suddenly stopped. Spike was walking besides her, but when she stopped he looked back at her with a worried look.
‘Are you okay, Twilight?’
Okay... That was a meaning she knew that she never would fully be again. She had been trashed and broken. Her innocence had been stolen by two drunks.
‘Yes... But this is going to take some time to get through.’ She said as she walked up to Spike.
‘Twi, I’m always gonna be right here when you need me, remember that. That’s what brothers are for.’ Spike was never going to let anything happen to her again. He wouldn’t allow it. Ever.
’I know you will be, Spike.’ She pulled the baby dragon close to her and hugged him tight.
What she had went through was something nopony ever should experience, the time after it was hard on her and everypony around her. She should have looked for the comfort of her friends directly afterwards, it would have relieved the pain easier, but not remove it. Of all the things that have ever happened to her, Nightmare Moon, Discord... That particular event was the only one that was truly unforgivable.
