Rarity; Prolouge

“Hello, and welcome to your relaxation chamber. You have been proudly chosen to partake, to make sure that you are still mentally capable of function we ask of you to take a small physical exam.”

It was a robotic type voice, it had awoken Rarity. She looked around to see that she was in a small type room. It was a room, similar to the ones they all had in Ponyville. Rarity got up and looked around until the voice came back on.

“Good, now look at the ceiling, we will give you a second to shift the position of your neck to look up upon the ceiling.” The voice called out to her.

Rarity looked up at the ceiling, it wasn’t much, a dull gray ceiling. But she did it anyways, but instead was thinking of what she could do to pretty it up any. The voice snapped her suddenly from her thoughts.

“Excellent. Now look down to the floor, we will also give you a second to shift again.” The voice seemed to get louder each time she heard it.

Rarity looked to the floor, but suddenly her neck popped and she left out a small yelp of pain. She then picked up her head and twisted to the side a bit. The voice again broke her from what she was doing.

“This concludes the physical portion of your exam. Now direct your attention to the picture on the wall. Go up to it and stare into the picture.” The voice concluded.

Rarity moved towards the painting, it was of a small lighthouse and a little filly and their friends playing outside. Rarity thought that this was the best painting she’d seen for the longest time.

“We will now soothe you with calming classical music, Please remain staring at the painting.” The voice ended and Classical music turned on. It was an oldie, something not heard by Rarity in a long time. Not since she was a filly did she hear the sweet sounds of the calming music.

Rarity drifted off into her own reality, a place where she was back in Ponyville, happily married to her dream love. And that they had their own fillies running around with friends. The thought was calming, and kept her smiling for a while. That is until the damn thing decided to buzz at her. Rarity jumped and screamed, she was so relaxed then, that buzzer snapped her from it completely, and swiftly.

“This concludes your test, please return to your bed. Later on you should awake in your testing environment. Don’t be alarmed when this happens, it only means we are ready for you to start testing. You will be briefed when you are about to start testing. Please get plenty of rest to accommodate the long hours you will devote to the test. Thank you.” The voice ended, and the classical music came back on.

Rarity felt sleepy, but she wanted to look around the room a bit. So she turned from her bed and looked around the room. Dull white walls, bland mahogany desk, a bed that was almost un-useable, lumpy and stiff. There was a coffee cup or two lying around the desk and little side table. She picked up the coffee cup, no logo or anything on it. A bland white cup with ‘Drink’ written on it. “Why would I need such a useless thing?” she then put it down.

She moved to a toilet that was sparkling white, “Well at least the accommodations are nice,” then moved away. Rarity picked up a disc, “Why the hell would I need this? There’s not even a CD Player in sight.” There was a mirror in the room, and Rarity found herself staring into it. “How unforgiving sleep been to my hair, damn. What I wouldn’t give for a brush,” Rarity unable to fight off the sleep any longer, went to the bed and went to sleep.

Rarity; Chapter 1

Rarity awoke suspended in the air, she was confused. As she looked up she was dropped into a room. It was small room, with completely glass walls, a clock on the door that only read 12:00, and a couple of coffee cups on a non-functioning dirty toilet. “Ugh! That toilet is disgusting! I wish that I could clean it,” Rarity looked at it and was startled by a booming robotic voice, a male sounding one. But she didn’t know if robots had a gender though.

“Welcome to the official Portal Starting point, in a minute a Portal will open up directing you to the First test. Aperture Science is not responsible for any growths, tumors, or cranial hemorrhaging, but please feel free to tell a representative, and they can assist you to the infirmary. But you will have to return to the testing area after making your recovery. The portal will now open, please refrain from shooting portals too often, for exposure to the gun’s radiation, can be life threatening. Once you pass through the portal, you will not be able to speak. For the testing area doesn’t need any speech, from the testing subjects. Once you pass the barrier at the end of each test, your ability to talk will be restored. If you find yourself in a situation where you meet your future self, do not approach them. For it will bring upon a rip in the Space-Time continuum, therefore ending all life as we know it. Aperture Science appreciates your cooperation into our program. Please stand by as we open the portal for you.” The voice ended rather abruptly and Rarity thought it very strange.
