Chapter 1: My arrival

Ahem! Right well hello there whoever reads this book…many have wondered why I have disappeared without a trace for what people tell me as around 3 years, I told them I decided to go independent and not tell anyone and I moved away, this was a downright lie, what I am about to divulge was not said out loud for a reason in fear of being called crazy or deemed insane and put inside those rooms…I will never submit to those NEVER! Oh where was I? Right, well basically it all started 3 years ago, when I disappeared to a Magical Pony land named Equestria which I thought was just a children’s show like many others…however I was proven wrong that night.

It starts like any other Human in Equestria story people make on the internet: One day everything is normal and then all the sudden BOOM magical white light sends me…now I am sure you’d want to hear some account of what happened before the light but right now I just cannot remember, all I know is I was broken up with one Bella Guides a girl I loved for 2 years all for a dumb reason. Point was light came I teleported and thankfully did not turn into a pony…

Ow…Where am I? why does everything look cartoony? Ok calm down Ewan…this must be just some crazy dream thing…next thing you know you’ll see some talking animal or something…

“Hello there!” said a female Voice

“Me and my big mouth!” I thought

What I came to face to face was a Pony, a real intelligent pony that can talk English like it’s nothing, I always found that weird how we can all speak the same language…well I guess I should be thankful…right off track again I can’t help it! This pony was a lavender colour with a violet mane and Tail and if that didn’t weird you out enough she had a tattoo of a Purple star on her butt or flank as they call it…it turns out all ponies have that apparently…

“Um…Hi” I said nervously

“Hello…I’m Twilight Sparkle” said the Pony

“Um…I’m Ewan, pleasure to meet you or something like that but not to seem rude but where am I? and why are you here?” I asked

“Well you’re in a small town named Ponyville in the land of Equestria but my question is how did you get here and Humans are meant to mythlogical creatures but you guys actually exist” said Twilight

“Well it would seem crazy but some white light I guess” I said honestly

“Hmm…that seems strange, well I did see a split-second flash in the sky and you fell in front of the Library” said Twilight

“Ok then…how long ago was that?” I asked

“About 10 hours ago I’d say” said Twilight

“and nothing feels broken…” I muttered

“Quite a miracle actually, anypony who fell from that height would of at least broken a bone” said Twilight

“Not to change the subject or anything but I got 2 questions. One: What time is it? And Two: What’s with that Purple star on you behind thingy?” I asked

“(blushes) Oh that mark is my Cutie Mark silly and it’s 7:00am” answered Twilight

“Cutie Mark? What on earth is that?” I asked

“It’s a mark that we get when we find our Special Talent” said Twilight

“Oooohhhh…” I said in realization

It’s kinda of weird how you get a tattoo on your flank which is called a Cutie Mark to tell what your destiny or job in life is…I kinda wish we’d get one and it would work like that but Alas we do things our way!

How should I describe Twilight Sparkle? Well for starters as I found out she’s Princess Celestia’s student, who apparently is the ruler in this land, Twilight studies A LOT! It would put Hermione Granger from Harry Potter to shame and her cutie mark is Magic! So she’s very good at it quite naturally.

Ponies are in three types from what Twilight Tells me: First are the Earth Ponies who are normal Ponies but are good at Physical work and labour, then there are the Unicorns which their horns allow them to use Magic and that’s the type Twilight Sparkle is and last but not least are the Pegasus Ponies who have wings and can walk on the clouds and even manipulate the weather! However there is a fourth type that Princess Celestia is and they call is an Alicorn which the combination of all three types and only royality can achieve a status apparently.

It seems all very weird to me but that’s not all Princess Celestia raises the Sun here and she has a sister named Princess Luna who does the moon and she was released from said moon the week before my arrival who was “taken over” by her evil alter-ego Nightmare Moon whom threatened Equestria with Eternal Night but thanks to these Magical Objects named the Elements of Harmony Luna was released again thanks to Twilight and her newfound friends.

And as of now Twilight is learning Friendship practically in Ponyville, I admit it took a while for all that information to soak in but at the time I felt it was time to explore the town...

“And that’s pretty much it” finished Twilight

“Wow that’s a lot of information for one week here” I said impressed

“Oh it is? Well I guess when you study as much as I do I guess a lot of information just seems like nothing, OH GOODNESS THE TIME! I gotta get to my friend Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres and Spike is already there! I’ll be back in the afternoon oh and if you’re going out…you may get some weird looks but they’re friendly…a little too friendly” said Twilight running out the door

I looked at the time and it was 10:00am and that was THREE HOURS LONG! Wow…well I guess hanging around in the Library is gonna be pretty BORING unless you’re Twilight Sparkle, well I may as well see what life in Ponyville is like and I gotta say I am interested in how they do it and maybe I might bump into some of Twilight’s friends…

Little did I know what Twilight was gonna go through today but a lot of things did happen while I was there, this is just one of the tiny ones…
