Unusual Day

It was a sunny day. Dash went outside to practice her flying skills. Fluttershy was sitting in the park with Angel. Both ponies were relaxing, for them it was a usual July morning. Dash thought that maybe Fluttershy can practice with her, so she flew to the park, but once she was there, she didn't see Fluttershy. She went to Fluttershy's house; there, nopony opened the door. Dash was a bit confused, then she remembered that Fluttershy was in need of berries and that she might have gone into town.

Dash flew there, it was a bit unusual for Dash because nopony was outside. Everypony’s windows were closed, even the birds weren't singing! Dash slowly went down the street, looking left and right while she was walking. Dash looked at the big clock that was on the wall in the square; the time was 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

Lunch time, Dash thought, Maybe everypony is eating their lunch now…

She sat on the bench waiting for markets to open. Time passed, quickly it became 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Dash’s patience had ended.

Something must be wrong, She thought.

She went to one of the house doors and knocked. Some pony opened her door, but just a little bit. Dash asked if something is wrong and that pony just looked at some kind of paper and then closed the door. Dash became more confused.

Maybe Twilight can help.

She went to the unicorn's house, but it was locked as well. Wind started blowing, and some kind of paper landed on Dash’s face. Dash took it and then looked at it.

There she saw her portrait, and beneath it was written;

Today this pony, called Rainbow Dash, injured Derpy Hooves and has blinded her. If somepony finds Rainbow Dash please tell the police so she can be punished. We will be removing her wings. Until she is found, please lock all your doors and windows!

Dash started to shake. She didn't know how could she could have injured Derpy, in fact, Derpy always injured Dash! Dash quickly flew up and went to her home.

At home, she sat on her favourite red sofa where her pet was sitting. She sat near him, she started to cry, and her turtle looked at her with fear, and hid himself from the danger.

Dash started to think about how she could have injured Derpy. Then she remembered that while she was searching for Fluttershy, she rubbed against Derpy accidentally. Derpy could have fallen on the ground and gotten injured.

But Dash wasn't worrying about Derpy too much, she worried about her wings - that poster said that Dash's wings would be taken off! Dash went to her room and there she was able to find some money and a bag for her things. She cried while packing her things up.

Maybe I'll go to one of Applejack's relatives... she thought.

While she was packing her things up she found a notebook. RAINBOW DASH'S DIARY was written in sloppy hoofwriting on the front. Dash opened it, and there she saw all her notes from her youth - photos and other things. She was so happy to find it... but still she had to leave.

It'll be a great idea to take this diary with me.

She packed all her things and then sat on the sofa again. While she was sitting some pony knocked on her door. Dash went to open, she opened it and there she saw Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Spike and Angel. All of them had sad faces.

"Hey, what are you doing here, how are you up here, and where is Fluttershy?" Asked Dash, with a little fear in her voice.

"She's at home. She is crying because she knows about this." Twilight pointed at Rainbow's packed things. "She knows that you will go away, and never come back, so she is more upset than you... as we can see."

"Twilight, take it easy." Said Applejack. "We should tell her the whole thing."

"Okay, so Dash, we are your friends and we want to help you. I am going to Canterlot, to tell Princess Celestia that you are dead and everything is now okay. We made you a passport, and from now on your name is Dash Rainbow. We took a flat for a rent in Ponytown. It's a new city, and there everything is going to be good, if you don't reveal yourself. So, tomorrow you are leaving. Here's everything that you need, Dash." Said Twilight, while giving all the things she needed, like tickets, temporary dye, and money to her.

Dash took everything and then hugged Twilight, all others came up to them and hugged Dash.

Dash went inside again and closed the door, she didn’t know if that was the right thing to do. She packed her things up and was ready. She looked at the clock - it was 6 o’clock in the afternoon.

Dash whispered to herself, “This is most unusual day I’ve ever had.”

She went up to her room and lay down on her bed, and started to cry. She just lay on her bed for hours, and thought about her new life in that Ponytown.

9'o clock came with Rainbow Dash asleep, dreaming of her wings falling from her body.

That night was the coldest night Dash had ever experienced. At 3 o’clock in the morning, she suddenly woke up and saw that all her house was dark and her turtle wasn’t near her. Dash tried to sleep again, but every time she closed her eyes she saw her wings being chopped off, blood all around the room.

She now knew that her greatest fears were about to come true. She was in grave danger.

The day to go

All night Dash couldn’t sleep, she had nightmares. She had a little rest in the early morning. She slept like for 3 hours and then woke up. She looked at the clock with the eyes that were full of fear and red because she didn’t sleep all night, her hair was all messy. She looked at the clock and there she saw 7:00. She was happy that it is a new day but still she understood that she will never come to her friends again, that she will lose everything and start a new life, and a tear slowly went on her cheek. She took her things and looked at the ticket; it said that the train leaves at 8:00. Dash wasn’t hurrying; she had an hour before the new life will start. She made herself a breakfast gave a salad to her turtle and then after she finished eating, she took turtle and for the last time looked at her favourite sofa. She looked at the time and it was 7:30.

Dash flew outside with a turtle in her hooves; she flew to the train station as fast as she could so guards won’t see her. She came to the train station, she gave her ticket, putted luggage under her seat and train was just about to leave, but guards came in, they were searching for Dash. Dash became sweaty, she thought about her wings being chopped off and then she quietly stood up and dash putted a jacket on her and went to the toilet. There she locked the room and waited till the guards will leave the train. After she heard the words “Excuse us we were just checking the train” she went out of the toilet room and went to her seat. She took her turtle and started to pet him.

After a while train left. All the ponies that were going there looked so different for Dash. She looked out of the window and there she saw Fluttershy. Dash putted her hoof on the window and Fluttershy just started to cry. Dash shook her head, and after that Fluttershy just cried harder and then went home to calm herself down.

The trip was long. Dash sat in silence and if she says something it can be just “Can I have a drink please” or “Tank doesn’t worry everything is going to be alright!” All the way she was busy thinking about her future and when she looks out of the window she saw Soarin flying high in the sky. She tried to make him see her, but he didn’t see her. After that Dash closed her eyes and slept, she had a nice dream about her and Soarin marring, having kids etc. but then she woke up because she heard a loud noise, which was train, it stopped and all ponies were coming out of it. Dash quickly got up and took her things and turtle and then got out as well. She looked at the city. First what she saw was a cow. The entire city looked like a farm. Most of the ponies were earth ponies, Dash looked at the address, they went by the streets and finally she found it. The house was beautiful, it looks like a castle. She went in, and found her room. The room wasn’t big, but for Dash it didn’t matter, everything that mattered for her is now gone.

She unpacked all her belongings and found a place for a turtle to live. She lied on her bed and thought about Fluttershy who was crying. She thought about Soarin that she loved. She thought about everything and everyone.

Dash lied on the bed for 10 minutes or so. She got up and Dash said to herself “Don’t cry! Life didn’t end! There are better things to think about!” After these strong words Dash went outside and went on the search for the job. She went from house to house. And only word she heard were “Go away! We don’t have a job! Go to the farm!” Dash lost all hope then on finding herself a job… She went back home. When she came to the reception, they gave her paper that says: PEGASUS NEEDED! 50$ PER DAY! ADRESS……

Dash was so excited! But she was a bit confused, like what she needs to do there. She went to her room. There Turtle was sleeping and Dash lied down on her big bed and slept whole evening.

When she woke up she saw that silver and a smile like moon was high up in the skies. Dash looked at the clock, there it was written: 2:00. Dash lied on her bed again, but when she tried to sleep she had nightmares, that were scarier. There she saw herself as a pony killer, as if she is taking a knife and then kills a pony. She sees their tears, she hears their screams and then she just takes everything from them and then goes away into the darkness.

Dash couldn’t sleep another night. She took her turtle with her and went outside. She went for a walk. It was dark. Somehow streetlights were shining. Dash just walked with a turtle on her back. She was worrying about all those dreams. After sometime she came home and then looked out of the window how sunrise was coming up.

Dash lied on her bed and at that time she didn’t have any nightmares! She thought that maybe it is full moon action, but today it wasn’t full moon. She thought for a while and then remembered that she needs to go to her job interview!

The job

Dash quickly putted a coat on herself gave salad to her turtle and then quickly flew to the address that was said on that paper. She looked for the building and she saw a castle that was huge and amazing. Her eyes opened wide when she saw rainbow above it. She decided fist to have an interview and know what job will she have, and only then make a decision.

Dash went to the front door, it was big and gold. Dash thought it is a factory where ponies are making rainbow with their laughs or maybe smiles! She thought that it is a positive place!

She knocked on the door and first the guard came out. Dash was so scared that it is the guard of Princess Celestia. Dash took a step back and then said with her quite voice “I am for the job interview”. After that guard stepped right and gave Dash a way to go.

She went in and she saw beautiful rooms, she thought that this is her place, that here she will build herself a future. Cushions had a Pegasus symbol on them. Dash sat on of the sofas and proudly said “This place is 20% cooler, than my home”. She was relaxing on that sofa.

Suddenly a Pegasus in the black mask came to her and he said “Hello! How I can see you’re a Pegasus!” he said that with

a bit creepy voice but Dash wasn’t thinking about his voice and the mask, she was thinking about this place.

The pony in the mask said to Dash “Follow me!” Dash stood up and went after him, she turned her had from right to left and was looking at that beautiful fabric. She had one question which she asked when the pony stopped. “What are you doing in this amazing place? Are you selling gold?” She asked the pony.

Pony turned to Dash and he said “Darling do you know what a brainwash is?” Dash looked at the pony and said “yes… I know what that is… I saw the brainwash going… I lost my friend by that accident” Dash said with her quite voice… (FOR MORE INFORMATION READ STORY CALLED”MY LITTLE DASHIE PARODY” BY MUSYA_MUSYA)*

The pony in the mask was amazed, that she saw it going on. He then opened the door and said to her “Come in! And feel yourself free! This is your new room!” Dash looked at him and then went in, she saw a luxury room, it had a relaxing space and the bed was like queen’s bed!

Dash quietly said “Can I take my turtle here?” and the pony turned to her and with a bit of anger in his voice he said “NO!” Dash just turned away from him and said to herself “You must be 20% cooler dude” and after that the pony went away.

Dash looked at her room twice; she thought that maybe she is in the heaven… But no! She was in her new room. Dash thought about what job she has. After a while Dash took a pie from the freezer and it remembered her about Apple Jack. She saw her past, her happy and sad at once past.

Dash then thought about turtle and she said to her “I have nothing left except him, I need to choose job, or a friend” Dash took her coat and then made herself a way to the exit. She wanted to go out but the door was tightly closed. Dash heard some pony saying “You can come in, but not going away”. Dash turned back and she saw that pony with a black mask on. Dash laughed and said “Dude you know I need to go home and feed my turtle…” Dash then just flew up and with all her powers she opened the door. Pony in the mask just said to her “You will come back!” Dash turned her face to him and said “of course I will, I will never get a chance like this before!” and then she flew into the sky and went home.

At home she looked for her turtle and she saw him in the dark corner, he was lying there without a single move. Dash came close to him and she understood why he was like that. A tear a pearl size went down Dash’s cheek. She took him in her hooves and kissed him, and then she took a little box and putted him there.

While she was doing that she remembered that she should feed her turtle thrice a day, not once. She understood her mistake; she took the box and flew out of the window of her house. She was carrying turtle body in that box. She found a place and there she buried him.

Dash didn’t believe that she did that, she understood that now she lost everything. Dash took a step forward to the place where her pet was buried and she said “Please god! Take him to the heaven and let him have a better life that he had with me!” after these words she started to cry, she cried so hard that birds flew away from that place.

Dash wasn’t sure where to go, she went to that factory. She flew to it and there she saw a rainbow coming out from the tubes, she was thinking how are they doing that rainbow… she went to the front door again and there was that pony in the mask, he was all covered in blood. When Dash saw him she was scared but then she took a breath sand said “I will work here.” The pony in the mask made a little smile and said to her “Did you have nightmares about killing ponies?” Dash remembered her nightmares and answered “Yes…. I had them”

Pony’s smile became bigger and then went down again and he said “SO this is why you can see this castle…” pony continued “It is your fortune to work here, you will make rainbows”

Dash was a bit confused and then the pony said “All your dreams will come true! You will kill ponies that didn’t pass the flying test and then make a rainbow out of them” Dash became more confused and scared at the same time. She then asked “are you joking?” and the pony shook his head form left to right.

Dash thought for a second about that killing idea and the she bravely said “Okay, I will have a try… I have nothing left to lose” and then she went in with the pony and he showed her, her room again. He showed her the button which turns the room into the killing room, where everything was dark and the knives were on the wall, the tree thing where she will cut ponies.

Dash thought that it was a joke but now she understands that she will become a criminal. Dash asked the pony “What about law? Won’t princess Celestia come and check what this is?” And the pony answered “That’s why we have this button, we can change the rooms.”
