Isaac "Butcher" Acevedo has a secret. A disgusting, terrible secret. God only knows why he and his friends in the refugee-infested slums of Rio De Janeiro are recording it on a message to send out into space to be sure that someone or something out there knows about humanity.
It's a story of how desperate humanity became in the war against Equestria. How starved some people would get, how bleak it was waiting for the miracle that would push the Barrier back, and the daily struggle for ponies, humans, and newfoals alike to survive.
The story arose as an idea fromThe Fridge page for The Other Side Of The Spectrum... okay, I wrote most of the entry that inspired me, which maaaaayyyyyyy make this self-congratulating BS, but I wanted to show how bleak it must be for humans in Redskin's story, or at least try and show the background. To those of you who think I made it too bleak, or too misanthropic, then I sincerely apologize. And you'll know what entry it is at the bottom, cause if I told you now, that'd be spoilerriffic!
Done with permission and editing from Redskin. In other words, this is totally canon.
