During a time long before Equestria, ponies lived on Earth. Her Majesties United States of Great Britain-Mareica were formed, marking the most powerful nation in the world. They developed many things, including interstellar travel. They colonized the worlds beyond their own and they were content. Then they found other life, life that wasn't as kind as they were. War broke out and they needed somepony to command their fleet in space, and somepony to command their nation on Earth. This is not just the story of the war on the spacefront or the election on the homefront, but the story of how they won, and how Earth as we know it was formed.
